14k is incredible, excellent customer service, they greet you as soon as your in the door, very fair, exceptional prices for everything. You are literally in and out in 10 minutes or less. They also have great pricing on merchandise inside the store. This is now the one and only store i will ever visit. Great job guys!!!!
The 2 guys that are always in here are so nice and make you feel comfortable pawning or selling stuff. I have been to places that dont make you feel to comfortable. They also have always given me the best prices for my stuff. I also bought some jewelry from here at great prices and good quality. The guy that works on the jewelry, he is the nicest guy i have ever met. I will always use this place no matter if im buying or selling
Shop is clean and well organized. I bought a paint gun and they negotiated quickly and fairly--I thought at least. Of the two people I interacted with they were friendly. Id definitely go back and am actually doing so after shortly.
Called to pick up my Dads stolen coins pawned at this location. (They were not reported stolen at the time of the Pawn as we did not know until one month after the robbery.). The shop held the coins as told to by the Police. When I called stire the guy I spoke with was clueless and told me to call the next day. I showed up the same day and was told he texted the owner but he doesnt respond normally so I have to come back the next day. I came in from TN to get these coins. We leave the store and the guy comes out to our truck and says he found the coins. He originally said they were locked In the safe that we saw was OPEN! When I went in I asked how he was able to get them out of the safe and he said they were just sitting on the desk. He never asked for ID. He was just selling them to anyone, not knowing if I was the rightful owner.Do not pawn anything at this location you plan on buying back. You most likely will be sorry. They had no problem taking our money but acted like we were a nuisance.
Great Lakes Pawn on Grand River Avenue is less than a mile away and is better than 14k in every way imaginable . Do yourself a favor and go to Great Lakes Pawn instead.I used to stop in this pawn shop every once in awhile, however I wont be anymore. Theyre not always the friendliest, and dont really have a great selection, but thats not why Im stopping going.Advertise in the front window of their store is a giant sign that says we buy gift cards. Now this is true, but only sometimes. I tend to get a lot of gift cards through my work as bonuses that I never end up using, so I like to sell them to people on Craigslist or at shops that buy them. Over the past couple of months I have sold a couple to them, and one day they told me they dont feel like buying gift cards because they havent got around to selling the ones they have online yet. Okay thats fine. Two days ago however I called in asking if they were interested in buying a Best Buy card for $200 at their rate. The guy on the phone said yeah absolutely bring it in. I couldnt make it in that night, but the next day I brought in the gift card about 20 minutes before they were set to close. even though they werent closed yet the guy had all the lights in the store shut off and he was wearing his jacket as though he was about to walk out. Okay, whatever you can leave early if you want. When I showed him the gift card he said oh Im sorry I cant buy that, we dont buy gift cards for that much. I know that not to be true because I had sold gift cards for more than that at that specific location in the recent past. Plus the guy I talked to the day prior said it was just fine, I believe it was the same guy even because there isnt too large of a staff there and I couldnt recognize their voices to a certain extent.Long story short, its a disorganized crappy pawn shop, where the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing, that wont give you a fair price for anything you bring in there.Go to Great Lakes Pawn instead. It is less than a mile away. They always give you super fair prices for whatever youre bringing in, the staff is super nice and really professional. I highly recommend Great Lakes Pawn. There is no reason to go to 14K in Farmington with Great Lakes Pawn being so close on Grand River Avenue.
They gave me the BEST price for my Jewelry. I buy ALL my Tvs from here. I bought my kids Game Systems and Laptops also and NEVER had a problem. Everything works Great!!! A++++ ASK FOR TONY!!!!!
Forget this place!! Horrible people I was out of gas and trying to sell an item well worth $30 for five bucks I was so afraid just wanted to get home and they told me no without hesitation then i asked for 2$ needed help badly was out of my comfort zone 30 miles from home with no idea where I was and they were totally disrespectful subhuman business ethics The Jewelry Maker acted like a racist wouldnt even look at me. If you value yourself worth please do not go there so disappointed in this place. Left parking lot in tears..
Great, affordable place! Ive bought an Xbox controller and 50 inch tv from here for only $250 all together! Very amazing and helpful staff! Clean and organized as well.

Clean place. For this type of stores, honesty is really important. I called about an item and they told me they had it. Drove there from 30 minutes away to find out the item wasnt there for a long time. It might be an honest mistake.
I called up there to ask a question and was hung up on immediately. Ive been called back and ask to speak to a manager and was hung up on again. When I called back for the third time they answered as Dominos Pizza I asked to speak to the manager and he goes of what? Dominos? And I go sure... Then to be hung up I on they are all very unprofessional and do,not recommend them at all what so ever go somewhe else

Very good people to deal with! I was behind on my pawn and they worked with me so I was able to keep my jewelry when most places would have sold it! Their prices are very fair, they have a good selection of jewelry and they also do jewelry repair! I would highly recommend stopping in there.

2022-04-09Im always hesitant to go to pawn shops because I dont know if they are really selling me quality items. I dont have to worry about that here. I bought a brand new laptop for my kid a few months ago and it has not given me one problem. I went to best buy just to compare prices for the same laptop and best buy was charging $300 dollars more...no thanks! I also like the jeweler Tony. He is always really helpful and patient because I am the most indecisive person in the world. Ill be back soon.

2022-04-05Had an exceptional experience here. Went in to sell some coins as well as to pawn my laptop. Had shopped around previously at other shops, and this shop beat every price for the coins. Will definitely be coming back here.

2022-05-03NOT A PAWNSHOP .THIS IS A Resale Shop. NOT A PAWNSHOP. Michigan law provides license pawnshops only can charge 3% per month. This shop charges six times more than that. I would not recommend this place to anyone. But I would recommend Great Lakes Pawn Shop in Redford

2022-06-16I’ve been doing business here over a year, and I have no complaints. I pawned my ps5 there right after they came out and were highly sought after. Down on my luck I was late with my interest, almost a month. I was afraid it’d be lost. The owner and female employee were more than kind and kept it put up until I could come make my payment. Anybody else WOULDVE sold it. They’re kind, friendly enough, and understanding. I also brung my dad there to purchase a ps4 which was priced significantly less than the used and refurbished are going for, and it’s the newest generation console. Anytime I needed a little help or understanding they did me more than fair. I feel some of these complaints arent merited and you just can’t please everybody but im a happy customer all the way.

2022-04-27DON’T Pawn your Items. Total Scam! THIS IS NOT A LICENSED PAWN SHOP. They Charge 10% of loan which the law is 3% per month. I tried to borrow $1000 + $100 Interest just for a 7 Day Pawn. I called the Michigan Attorney General Office and they Confirmed they this is Against the Law. They also advise me This ISNT a Pawnshop it’s a Resell shop. Runnn

From gaming systems to musical equipment these guys have always been the epicenter for horrible haggling prices and treating you like a$$h0les. Go anywhere else.

2021-12-02Brought in 3 coins a 1877 half dollar a 1854 quarter dollar and a 1961 dime which are all 90% silver, was offered $10 for the 3 which i humbly declined.. was told to “put them back where I got them from” horrible place to do business I suggest going to a different shop

2021-06-14Ok so when I pawned my PS4 here I literally told them I didnt wipe my information from it as they were testing it to see if it worked. I was told Dont worry, were just seeing if it works. Which is absolutely fair. But now Im thinking they could have just let me wipe everything from it while it was plugged up and working. Saying dont worry makes me think you will take care of it. Instead I truly believe nothing was done to it after seeing unauthorized transactions go through on my bank account that I immediately scrambled to fix. And out of pure curiousity I wanted to call and ask if they do factory resets or wipe the game consoles of the information before selling them. I was told yes but when I explained my situation I was told not all the time, not the games themselves and that its really up to customers to do that themselves. Which is true. But I was amazed at how quick we went from me expressing concern over something as a customer and being told dont worry by the business, when they couldve just given me the second to clean it while it was all plugged up in front of us, to hindsight telling me what I shouldve already done as a customer. Thats very... interesting to me. My opinion of this place now is its quiet, theyre friendly and reassuring, but not very legit. Simple yes or no answers shouldnt have to be walked back or explained because I truly thought they maybe didnt know how to do it. But when you start walking back answers saying this gray area sometimes we do, sometimes we dont stuff. Thats a HUGE red flag. I now see no difference than selling it myself to a stranger on the street. Why get a business involved if it does nothing to ensure quality service besides maybe dusting it off. Ive also never had this happen before even though Ive pawned a personal laptop and a few modern consoles before, granted I didnt go to my usual place motor city pawn because this place was open at a particular time. But clean those devices yourselves and dont believe their assurances. Pawn shops are sketchy in nature so I truly shouldve known, but due to the lesson I suppose I wont forget now

2020-02-23My wife and I went to look for a flat screen TV. The owner said that he would give me a great deal on a 55 inch LG smart TV and he did! He helped me load it in the back seat of my pickup and made sure that everything was good with the way it was sitting. Good merchandise, great prices and excellent customer service! I highly recommend them!!

2019-08-10Awesome shop. Great service. I normally use a different shop but I was on this side of town for work so I stopped in. They paid me great for my gift card and I pawned some gold to cover my rent. They took amazing care of me. I only go to this shop now even though I pass 3 others on my way here. Stop in, you will be pleased.
