Comment: Overall its a good storage, also i like adam at the front desk. It just sucks that you could be a customer for yearssss and then boom a life event may come up where u accidentally miss a couple months & you have to worry about all your sentimental belongings being auctioned off :(Everything is all good until you miss a payment. Whether you accidentally forgot because you were deathly ill for 2 months (my case) or maybe something came up and you need a little bit longer to pay, they are quick to put a lean on your unit (at 41 days) and by the 50th day they’re cutting open your lock and auctioning off your possessions! (Over a late $100 payment). I’ve been storing items here for 3+ years, they don’t care about loyalty or anything. They can’t WAIT to see how much they can make off of your belongings. Very predatory and scary to think about how all of your sentimental belongings could be fed to the wolves so easily. If I could give 0 stars I would. 10/10 do NOT recommend. I can’t wait to move my belongings elsewhere.Also they take every opportunity to raise your rent. And once you hit that 41 day mark forget about the convenience of paying online (bc at this point they’re banking on selling your stuff they don’t want the payment.) you can only pay by calling during business hours or going in physically.UPDATE: They responded that they contacted me, they in fact did not. My proper email is listed on my account and no one reached out regarding this as they stated.

Comment: James has been so so helpful! I stopped by around 2 weeks ago to see the storage space in person & he gave me a tour of the two spaces that would be best for my move. I was able to call to reserve a unit about a week later and the check-in / rental process was very smooth and transparent. Truly great customer service. The facility is very clean and well-lit as well.

Comment: 54.9% rate increase over 6 year 7 months.Id give 5 stars for nice staff, clean place, and convenient access.but trying to justify this much of rate increase due to costs.. rings hollowrate increase this cycle is 8.1%,last one little over a year ago was larger at 18.6%,until Russell was nice enough to reduce it to 13.7%I still hope the nice employees have received a raises somewhere near this.just be prepared for near runaway rate increases

Comment: Really exceptional service. I booked a unit online (easy) and the manager called me to let me know the condition of the unit and showed me a couple options. They had a Yelp special to get a free lock if you check in as well.I already have one unit with A-1 and they made it really easy to merge my accounts and transfer any credits if/when I move out.Really helpful to have access 7 days a week 6am-10pm. Ive been a customer for over a year and have been happy with the unit, access space and staff. They are always so friendly. Highly recommend.

Comment: A-1 is very clean and well-run. Flatbed luggage carts are always available to use during business hours. The units are easy to access and the facility is kept clean and well-maintained. I have rented several storage units here over the last 16 years. The onsite staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the facility. A quibble about the management, which raises rents frequently. Also, the top floor was airconditioned in earlier years but no longer is. Thats a problem in a metal building in the summertime.

Comment: A-1 Self Storage has help us make our move from Strasburg, Virginia to Los Angeles. There is enough loading/unloading space to allow the 28 tractor trailer to come in and be dropped off. Thus, we could unload it easily and pack some stuff in storage while taking other stuff to our apartment. I have already recommended you to my brother-in-law. Thanks so much A-1.

She was upfront that the 1st month was half off but that this is a MONTH TO MONTH rental place and they can raise the price as they choose. But thats the business. Very clean and secure with access to carts and elevators. I trust ny stuff here. I got a 5x5 until, its$92 a month, the 1st month was half off but with the insurance and keys it was $82 anyway. I said it was worth it. No lighting in unit.

Comment: I had a unit at this A-1 facility for over 8 years. The rates went up over 30% in the time I was there and last year they sent out a notification that they were removing the climate control from the facility. They said they understood if some people may want to move out and gave us 2 months to do so before they removed the air conditioning. Issue is, they know what a huge hassle and cost it would be to move storage units so I couldnt move my unit and continued to have to pay for a climate controlled unit when I no longer had air. I know they already had a rodent issue on premises but I imagine it got worse after that and my belongings were chewed on and there were rodent feces and urine on tons of my belongings. Additionally I was very upset to see that new tenants were paying far less than I was for the same size unit. Once I found this out I went through the HUGE hassle of moving my belongings to a different storage facility. I would never use them again.

Comment: All the staff here is very friendly and the location is very convenient. The only issue I have is with rates that keep going up and down. Price to store items with A1 is certainly not cheap and tag a monthly insurance on top of it and its almost a car payment. I hope A1 tailors more in the need of customers and the economy and keeps steady rates for everyone.
