Comment: As a loyal AAA customer for many years, I have always relied on their services for roadside assistance, home security, auto and rental insurance. However, my recent experience with filing a claim for my vandalized vehicle has left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with the handling of my claim.After my vehicle was vandalized on June 9, I promptly filed a claim and was assigned to Susan. Initially, Susan suggested repair locations near my address. However, upon researching these locations, I found nothing but negative reviews and feedback. I expressed my concerns to Susan and requested that my car be repaired at a Hyundai dealership. Despite being entitled to up to 100 miles of roadside assistance, I had to plead with Susan to allow the mileage to the dealership, as it was 50 miles away from my home.On June 19, my vehicle was picked up, and Dublin Hyundai informed me that estimates would be provided by June 20. However, the process hit a roadblock when Marcos, from the dealership, informed me that the information had been sent to my adjuster, Susan, but she needed additional pictures. Susan then struggled to get in contact with the dealership, prompting me to intervene and facilitate communication between them.Subsequently, Susan assured me that everything was set for the repairs to commence. However, to my dismay, on July 1, Marcos informed me that the documentation sent to Susan hadnt been cleared, resulting in no progress on the repairs. Efforts to contact Susan were in vain, and I was only informed by Enterprise that my rental vehicle needed to be returned due to the policys 30-day limit.Upon further communication with Susan, she claimed that the documentation was still under review by AAA Claims and that they had not received a photo of the damages, despite me having uploaded two videos and a photo previously. Susans response regarding the timeline of my rental and the lack of progress on my vehicle repairs left me feeling helpless and dismayed. She failed to provide me with any updates or resolutions to the situation, even after our last conversation on June 20.Feeling utterly upset and abandoned by the lack of progress and communication, I attempted to escalate the matter by contacting a supervisor, only to be met with silence and no outreach for resolution.My frustrations stem from the lack of adequate resolution and the absence of supervisory knowledge to help resolve my concerns. My policy, despite its comprehensive nature, has seemingly failed to protect me when I needed it the most. The encounter has made me question the value of my investment in AAA insurance.Furthermore, I was disheartened to discover that even with expansive coverage, AAA found ways to deny me the full benefits of my policy. This lack of transparency and fairness is inexcusable and has compelled me to reevaluate my future with AAA. Once my current contract expires, I will be exploring alternative insurance providers.I want to caution others who may be considering AAA for their insurance needs. Based on my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend AAA as a reliable insurance provider. The subpar service and the lack of genuine concern for my well-being during this difficult time have been truly disheartening. I strongly advise anyone in the market for insurance to carefully consider these words before making a decision.In conclusion, the disheartening experience I have had with AAA has prompted me to reevaluate my trust and loyalty to the company. Despite my years of membership, I am left feeling unsupported and undervalued. You want specifics = simple you are unable to offer the DMV services that I am paying you for with my membership fees. So puts into question why should I continue to pay AAA when I can get the services elsewhere for cheaper.

Comment: I have never been treated so poorly by anyone at a place of business. My fiancé was charged $600 when his insurance renewed because I was added to the plan. We called in December of 2023 to see what the cost would be if he added me to the plan, and when they told us that price, we said we did not want to move forward with adding me, she cancelled it and that was the end. Or so we thought. Fast forward to February 2024, we find out I am in fact added to the plan without his or my permission. I have car insurance of my own, and have for years. I do not need to be on his insurance. We went in to get our money refunded and remove me from the plan. Tracey C. was at the front desk and she was not friendly in any way, and unfortunately ended up being the agent to help us. She steamrolled my fiancé, wouldn’t look at us, said “I wasn’t on the call so I don’t know what you did”, “you requested this 2/23/24”. I said we did not. She advised me she would need proof of my insurance for their mistake. I said I would like to speak to a manager and she laughed and said “sure because your attitude sucks”..I watched her walk over to the manager Jennifer Casenave and bad mouth me. Jennifer walks over to “help” and when we walk away, Tracey yells “what did you say?” When I said nothing to her. To which Jennifer yells “do not disrespect my employees”. I said I didn’t do anything and that she should teach her employees to be professional and have more respect. She said “I don’t care what she said do not disrespect my employees”. Sitting with Jennifer to have her attempt to help us was unbearable due to the hostility so we ended up getting up and leaving to go to another location. Jennifer followed us out very closely and when we were outside she said “have a nice day brandie” in a snarky, disgusting tone. Both Tracey and Jennifer not only refused to be helpful, they disrespected, and antagonized me. The hostility shown by these two women was unbelievable. Tracey looks like an old racist white woman, and acted as such. Jennifer has done this before per other reviews. If I was the owner of this franchise, I would remove them immediately because they are making the office look really bad. No one deserves to be treated that way. I left in tears and called customer relations that day. I have yet to receive a call either. Not only were we robbed of $600 while trying to pay for our wedding, but were humiliated by sub par employees and ignored by whoever is in charge of handling matters such as these.

I had to take my old car off and put a new one on and she literally had me all set and taken care of in a 10 minute phone call. Comment: The office manager and the lady that interrupted the receptionist at the door Donna donna was the rudest woman Ive ever met in my life when she found out that I was stressed and late for work. She postponed my appointment by an hour. Just to be mean, I have no idea why she would do this. When I came back for my appointment. She met me at the door and then asked me. Why are you here? I said for my appointment? She told me that I had to leave that. It wasnt time for my appointment. And then my name was called when I went up to the desk for my appointment. The manager came up and intervene and told me that I had to let the person behind me in front of me. The young lady that was helping me told the manager that it was my turn. And the gentlemans appointment was after mine. She said that she didnt care and she kicked me out of line and put the gentleman behind me in front of me. There was no reason for this whatsoever when I finally got up to the register. To do my appointment, the young lady almost had tears in her eyes and apologized. A dozen times for what the manager and the Donna lady have done to me. I am 60 years old with Gray hair and I was treated like a piece of trash. And Im serious, I mean, a piece of trash. It was the most wrong thing Ive ever experienced in my life. And those 2 should be fired for what they have done. Keep in mind, I have been a customer of triple-a for over 10 years. And Ive never been humiliated in my life. Like I have that day by any company.

Comment: Ive been a member of AAA for many years, and for several years have been utilizing this office to do DMV things- always pleasant, efficient people here with a neat looking office- easy parking and access, and a few chairs near the waiting line for those who have difficulty standing, although I have used the online portal to schedule my appointments and never have had to wait very long- just a couple of minutes usually- or even none at all. They do what they can to make getting service as easy as possible, imo. AND they still have free maps for members- even some for recreation areas- showing public campgrounds. Not sure what other special maps they might have, but they have a lot of maps- just ask. I think you can currently only schedule an appointment about 1 month in advance, which the website does not tell you, but it seems that way, and if you have a limited number of times that fit your needs, I would not wait until last minute to schedule. You can, of course, drop in- not sure how they work that out between their scheduled appointments, but it is an option. It is nice to see a business that keeps up its good service year after year.

Comment: The dmv services alone are worth the membership fee. I buy alot of cars, I take the paperwork to AAA . My last transaction, I walked in and right up to the window . Did my transaction, transfer title to me and got stickers, reg was overdue on the car, and walked out in about 10 min. It took longer for the, very polite and smiling woman that helped me, get the reciept out of the machine than typing it up. EVERYBODY should get AAA for the dmv services alone in my mind.

Comment: This location is within the Birdcage (outdoor) shopping mall & hosts a longtime favorite Target Greatland. (There is a Starbucks just before the exit & ample seating if I remember correctly.) There is plenty of parking along with a few elongated benches just outside AAA. From personal experience, this may not be the office to visit just after the 1st of the month when 1 of their 2 DMV computer/terminals is down & you are there for DMV services. When this happens there will be 2-hr wait if you show up @ 2 in the afternoon rather than as close to 9am as possible. When this happens, you will need to add your name to the list when an employee periodically comes out w/a clipboard. Of note, the young man @ the computer apologized twice for the wait & sanitized the counter after every customer. Most wouldnt want this to happen when its near 100° outside since most of the wait time is before you enter their offices. One improvement I can think of is offering bottled h20 (probably cheapest in bulk @ Costco/Sams Club to those in line.

I had an issue where I needed a form, paid my dues, but the DMV hadnt processed it (despite cashing my check two weeks prior...). I explained the situation, showed my proof, and the lovely gal helped me navigate the DMV BS until she finally found the right folks and issued my papers! She truly was so helpful and could have easily said her hands were tied, but instead made a call and what would have been 3 hours for me took her 20 minutes. Ill always come back because of her!

Comment: No accountability, not customer service and false advertising to say the least. RV broke a fan belt and drained the battery. Well it stalled when I was exiting the freeway offramp. So add Im half in the intersection and half in the offramp, while fully blocking the crosswalk. I find out that AAA doesnt provide commercial towing in my area. Well this is where I live and this is where I pay for the executive RV towing service. So why do you advertise and charge me for a service that you dont provide. I was told that I need to seek my own services and try for reimbursement approval. Low down lying piece of ($#!+) Why does no one else hold them accountable for the lies and deception of their advertising? They want to charge me 135 a month for full coverage. Im 26 with a clean title on my 01 Ford focus zx3. When I wanted to just pay for liability they wanted to charge me 200 a month!!! I think its far to expensive. Progressive only charges me 50 a month for liability. I have called to try and get it lowered but they say they cant lower it anymore. I was not the only customer who felt that way 2 other people in line explained to me the lady had been rude to them too the day before. Next time I am there I will get her name and write a complaint to her manager,she is so unpleasant that I have considered not going to that office anymore. Heather confirmed that I had all the right paperwork and we made an appointment.We show up and are instantly notified by Heather that we need the registration from the previous owner (which is frustrating since she didn’t mention that on the phone, but I totally understand). We contact the previous owner in Idaho and he starts searching for the registration.Heather then fetched her boss or supervisor, Marie, to help her figure out what to do. Marie came over and asked for the registration and I told her we were working on it at the moment.Before I continue, I need to mention that we traveled to Idaho, and while we were there, our truck that tows our trailer died on us so we had to get rid of it and purchase a new vehicle. We didn’t want to do this at all. I called Idaho and California DMV offices just to be sure I was doing everything right and legally.Back to AAA...Marie walks up to us and with a very rude tone tells us that she needs the plates and the registration from Idaho. Just being in Idaho a couple weeks ago, having family there, and speaking to Idaho DMV, we know that drivers keep their plates and move them to each car they own. Marie continues to tell us that we are wrong and kind of laughs, treating us like we are stupid.A simple “you need to visit the DMV, we cannot help you” would have been fine. Still frustrating since we wasted our time, but fine.Our family has worked with this office for years, mainly with Monica, and we have never had any issues. Heather was professional, just maybe not fully knowledgeable of AAA DMV situations. And it wasn’t cool that she lied and told Marie that she told me to bring the registration. I get it though, people are so used to spending their days being mindless employees. BUT I have to say it’s been a while since I’ve been spoken to the way Marie spoke to me. Comment: Visited yesterday for a registration of an out of state vehicle. California law states you must register within 30 days, so I took my registration to the DMV counter to transfer. Nobody was waiting which is rare and two associates at counter, great thought it would be quick and easy. Nope, they stated it took an appointment, huh? I am a premier member for over 10 years. I have transfered out of state registration two other times in fact about 3 years ago at this same office. Well I went to book the appointment but the gentlemen told me all the things i needed to bring including title. I stated I didnt want to transfer the title to California just the registration. First associate stated i must do both, but thats not true and I stated my out of state title is fine as I have no intent on selling my car in california. Then the other associate started to say that they cant do that task, they needed to do both. I told the second associate that I have done this before at triple A, in fact this very branch. Second associate then said to me you have a nice day bye/bye.... well aaa if thats how you treat premier members of over 15 years you ought to think twice and research. If services change and triple A can no longer support I can understand but that should be supplied in the associates response. I left and both associates went back to helping nobody which is highly rare at a triple A office. I will visit either another aaa office to see if this is factual or go to the DMV. If another office performs this service I will return to speak with the manager and let them, and i must say AAA has been a great resource but not yesterday at Citrus Heights location.(additional update - 2 hours after leaving review they want more details. Appears they are really watching reviews. Looking at history of each person leaving a low rating, they take it offline asking for more details, but not one person comes back and amends the original review or addition response to the review saying they were contacted and that they help resolve there concerns. Just an observation based on reviews. I tend to just leave a review if exceptional service is given or an awful service is received. If sincere about resolution, I will always update the review to show that an effort was made to make an awful experience into a more positive one. )

Comment: I went in on a weekday in the early afternoon to get a duplicate handicap placard and there were at least 12 people waiting to be helped. They literally have 2 chairs for people to sit down. The DMV service is for people with a membership, which you have to pay for each year, and to have that many people waiting to be helped means their customer service is poorly lacking.Update: 10/2019I went back again to try to get a duplicate handicap placard and this trip there was seating available. I didnt stand in line but my sister did for me. I asked at the front receptionist desk if I could get a form to fill out before going to the window. Steve brought me the paperwork.There was at least 10 people waiting in line when we arrived. The counter had 3 places where employees could help clients but only 2 employees were at the counter. During the wait, for quite a few minutes, one employee was helping the other employee with a client on what seemed to be a complex issue with vehicle registration. In this situation it seemed like they should have referred him to the DMV rather than wasting 20 minutes and then telling him after a long conversation they couldnt help him anyway. During that time the line grew longer and no one moved to the window to be helped, and they did not open the 3rd window, although there were 2 employees laughing and talking behind the counter that were not helping. This went on for several more minutes until they finally had a third employee at the counter to help employees.Once I got to the counter they were able to issue me a new placard and it took less than 5 minutes.All said, we waited over 30 minutes, a very long time compared to a visit I made 2 years ago to the DMV counter in the Natomas location. The manager should be addressing the long wait time for clients and the poor optics of employees standing around laughing while the line was 10+ deep.

Comment: I wrote this review 3 times and it was eraced three times?? The lady who tried to help me was very demening and degrading to me, I think because she couldnt get any information on the motor home I sold to a member.she gave me bad information about not turning in the paperwork to DMV.DMV told me that for my own good notify DMV with the paperwork,so I dont get any tickets because of the member. I would be glad to let anyone at the birdcage office know her Name.

Comment: Terrible customer service. Called yesterday regarding dmv services. Told to bring VIN in and they would be able to advise if they can process transfer or if i needed to go to DMV.Took time off drove there and told they wont check. Ridiculous complete waste of an hour and a half of my time.Only good was manager apologized and gave a membership discount for inconvenience.

Comment: My dad was a state farm veteran of 40 years so AAA was always the enemy. Since hes retired weve loosened up that stance and thank goodness we have. Just the DMV services are worth the cost of admission and this location isnt super packed like the elk grove one.

Comment: Obviously theyre great for insurance and roadside assistance, but if youre a member and you go in to the location they have a couple helpful services for you. First, they have free maps of just about everywhere you could drive to. All you have to do is ask. They also help arrange your trips. Theyll print out specialized maps with directions to the hotels you specify and they even include the speed limit on all roads youll be traveling on. Its super helpful if your planning a trip through states youve never been to before

Comment: The customer service here was wonderful. The associates were all helpful, friendly and patient. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the line was VERY long and I almost felt like I was waiting in a line at the DMV. I definitely was not expecting to be standing in line for over an hour. Hopefully they can improve on the wait time at this location.

Comment: My local AAA office is the best! One stop shop for all of my car and home insurance needs. The DMV service desk is worth every penny! The best part is seeing a familiar face across the counter. It takes some of the sting out of paying the crazy money to the state for all the fees!

Comment: Great place to take care of your DMV issues. Obviously, as well as any AAA membership and insurance as well as travel questions. Great staff! Call ahead to see how busy they or if you live close by. Lines can be forgot her work. Not so much for travel and AAA membership questions and issues.

Comment: Very poor service at this location. I wanted to speak with a travel agent and I was told to wait and I would be next. I asked the guy if I needed an appointment and he said no. So I waited about 20 minuets and when the travel agent was available somebody walked and said they have an appointment with the travel agent so they were seen. If they take appointments first then say that and say walk-ins have to wait as appointments are seen first. Super annoying

Comment: I see so many complaints that they have to wait in line - First let me point out that the current wait time at the DMV is 2 to 3 hrs and appts are almost a month out - with that being said I was able to see an associate in less than a half hour (less than I wait for typical food delivery) - not only was she able to complete the DMV transaction I came in for but she helped me with a couple others I was not aware needed to be done (She brought to my attention that she could complete these updates and transactions for me) That is going above and beyond in my opinion. The office is clean and comfortable it offers all the amenities in one location - travel agents, insurance agents, DMV agents . The office is easy to access and open mon through friday.

Gave different information on different trips to AAA causing me an incredible headache with the DMV. Now because of her mis information, she seemed very pleased to tell me i would now have to pay more fees. Never thought Id say Id rather take care of my business at the real DMV. I pay extra for AAA. They should treat their guests like paying customers.

Comment: Lady ( dmv area) had a rude & unwillingly to help tone of voice. I was excited that I didnt have to wait hours as you would at the local dvm and expecting top notch service, just as AAA wants to perceive. But personal service was no different than the dmv. Wait time was half the time.

Comment: The agent that I signed up with never answers the phone when you call or returns your call if you leave a message !!!!!! Her name is Monica liljegren.....the people when you go into the office act as if your annoying them when you want to make a payment or dmv sevices....no one smiles,they act as if your not there and mad at something or someone...I had a incident where another driver backed into me even though I was found not at fault,they declined repairs on my car !!!! Took 2 months for them to make a conclusion...their customer service is being rude,dont give a dam.I am now contacting the better bussiness bureau,chamber of commerce,state of calif insurance commerce and dmv fraud depts,channel 3 news and the police dept...I will never recommend them to anybody.I always make my payments on time and when I needed them they turned their back on me !!! So run, dont walk to another company !!!

Comment: Awful!!!!!!! I come in to pay my bill (both hubby and my name is on the account) but god forbid if my husband is at work so he CANT be here to pay it like I am. I was using his pre-paid card with only his name on it like I ALWAYS do and I have my id and since we are married and have same last names- I never have an issue, especially when paying a bill! They denied me access to pay my bill. If I have ALL correct ids and can verify- they should NOT deny me to pay my bill. Bad ratings for this day!!! 😡 There are other ways to pay- but I shouldnt have to do that if I drove all the way over here.

Comment: AAA Insurance used to be good back in 2007-08 - it got worse over the years in every aspect to where Im considering switching to Geico. Their DMV services got slow and careless, insurance policies are irresponsible: they made an error of adding an accident (that never happened) to my record, I learned about their error a year later. They need to step their customer service.
