I have found AAA Life Insurance Company to be extremely helpful, professional and most important--nice. When I call them to make a payment they are right on the ball and I am on the phone less then 10 minutes. I am very happy and at peace knowing that my heirs will be taken care of.
My experience with AAA Life has consistently been great! Always nice to speak with excellent competent well-trained client services representatives who know their stuff and execute everything with perfection! They all deserve a shout out! Thank you for providing this valuable professional service.
All went well with the customer service person. I had called to change the beneficiary on the life policy but could not over the phone because the software that you have did not have sufficient space to input data for a trust designation. Your specs in the policy is that you pay out death benefit to the living children--not a good method as that leaves out any grandchildren from a deceased child. I am to receive a paper form--though it has been a week and I have not received as of today.
I have been a Triple A member for years & always thought their purpose was automobile related~~Not so! They have branched out into other fields. Not only have they taken on RMV duties, they now have Life Insurance. At my age & with certain health issues, I was being turned down by all the companies. The I heard AAA was an insurance agent. They took me on and wrote the policy with no medical exam or Doctor visit. They were able to supply me with just the plan I needed at a very reasonable cost. Thank you, AAA. I was extremely happy with the courtesy & understanding of the staff. I was treated with respect every step of the way.
They are the worst company for life insurance. I have had a policy for years with them that is extremely expensive and keeps going up. Then last year I had a rep call from AAA stating I needed to get a different policy. So far after 6-7 harassing calls I’ve hung on to my Policy for the only reason I’m 63. The key here is my policy hasn’t gone up that much in the last year without making any changes. I wouldn’t trust any reps that call you and tell you you need to change your policy they’re only trying to make more money off of you.
I have been with this company for 15+ years.I have had no issues with them whatsoever. When I have had reasons to call the main office, to inquire about my account, the level of professionalism was outstanding. Plus, all of their answers were presented in a very helpful straightforward manner.
All of the associates that I talked to on the phone express to me a very heartfelt sympathetic attitude when they became aware of my wifes passing. Knowing that somebody cared about my loss helped me to deal with the trauma I was experiencing. I felt that I wasnt alone in my grief. I am forever grateful to them.
Thank you AAA for connecting me with awesome towers! Please take the time to ensure that AAA’s customer service is up to par, it doesn’t feel good being a paying customer and the representative that’s suppose to help rescue you, make you feel worse than the position you were in before the call :(
AAA is there for me through all of lifes ups and downs. Road side service so Im never alone, trip planning for recreation, and now with the passing of my partner of 30 years, you are there to ease the financial burden. Without AAA life he would not have either had or been able to afford life insurance with his pre existing health issues. Those policies with you will make it possible to live comfortably for 2 years without his income while I navigate this new world without him.
I was declined coverage literally because I was following CDC recommendations at the time of delaying non-urgent medical care (postponing an exploratory MRI that would have required me to go to the hospital). The underwriter was hasty and negligent in interpreting my medical records and I was not given a chance to explain my situation, even though my doctor was able to provide input. This caused me months of headache pursuing a different carrier since being declined once is a red flag. I ultimately found coverage through NW Mutual. If you have per-existing conditions, dont waste your time here.
Alexandra from Livonia, MI was my representation to discuss my parents account. Was on the phone for 45 minutes and on hold most of the time. I understand having strict policies for customer protection but she was rude and difficult to deal with throughout the entire experience. She sounded like she was new to the job. She was an awful representative for AAA.
My father passed away a couple of years ago, and he left annuities for all of his kids. I am supposed to receive this money twice per year. AAA has refused to send the money to me this April. It is now 3 weeks past due. Ive called numerous times (7-8 times now), and every time the rep tells me something different.First, it was because of the pandemic, then it was because they were sent to the wrong address. Then, they said they couldnt predict when the post office would deliver the checks. Then, they said call us back next week and if you havent received them well put a stop order on the checks, and reissue new checks. This is in direct contradiction of what another rep told me in a previous call.My guess is that AAA is calculating how this pandemic thing is going shake out for them financially, and they are with-hold checks from thousands of clients. Then AAA will probably take a government bailout all the while with-holding clients money. That is not my problem. They owe me a lot of money. If youre looking for life insurance dont get it from AAA. Chances are when you die and it comes time to pay out - they would refuse payment and give your loved ones the run around like they have given me.AAA sucks at customer service. Dont waste your time.Alan
I was over.55 when I started with AAA Life. Reasonable rates — much much less than AARP. Excellent and quickly responding customer service. When I have called with questions or policy changes they respond thoroughly and clearly letting me know exactly what I needed to do to complete my tasks.
They are denying people who been prescribed an inhaler. My wife was denied. The have a fine print to obtain your information on medical, prescription, financial status, crimanl history and driving record. Once you sign they will look into your pesonal records. They stated they just started doing this. Go some where else please.....
This has got to be the worst life insurance I’ve ever dealt with!I hope you read these comments before making a decision on purchasing this company.I’ve been waiting 3 weeks to get my money back when I cancelled my policy. Worst service ever!Good luck if you’ve fallen into their trap!
I never requested info from this company. They send huge packets of information, complimentary mailing labels...all junk that I dont want. Each envelope (larger than 8.5 x 11) is filled with at least 7 pages of stuff. Its a huge waste and a total lack of corporate stewardship and environmental responsibility. They must mail these envelopes (Ive gotten 3 so far) to tens of thousands of not hundreds of thousands of AAA members. This kind of negligent behavior contributes to climate change in multiple ways.
I would not bother applying for insurance from this company. The application process takes much longer than they represent. Most significantly, to me, it seems they really do not want anyone middle age or over. I am 55 and in very good health but was turned down without explanation. I cannot comment regarding this company in any other respect and my low rating is only related to this issue. In fairness, they may be a very good company otherwise. I do not know. However, they seem to have an unusually high acceptance standard or just do not accept older people at all. To me, it appears, if you are over 50 do not even waste your time applying.
AAA Life is not focused on customer information protection. Just received a letter telling me of the different ways they share my personal information. They outlined 6 different ways they share information with others. 4 ways they dont allow limiting how the information is sold - 2 ways they do. If you want to de-activate those information sharing options you have to write a letter. Not a phone call, not an option on their web site, a letter! They are making this as difficult as possible . I have lost all confidence in AAA Life to be a trusted organization.
They want you to pay almost $500.00 a month for $300,000.00 coverage. We have 3 times that amount for only $25.00 a month. I returned their application. NO thanks. I just dont feel like paying for AAAs yacht, their CEO bonuses, and their expensive vacations. I had to give this rating in order to be able to post this comment. Actually, it should be a about 20 times lower. They dont seem to understand what the word NO means. I keep sending their telemarketing mail back to them, and telling them to take me off their mailing list, but they keep hounding me. There is also other consumer complaints on the internet here on this website page.
They say easy to apply, and three short health questions to determine your approval. This is NOT TRUE. I answered the questions positively and was still declined. Now I have a negative life insurance rejection on my record. This is going to hurt my chances to obtain life insurance from another company. This is deceptive advertising and I have been injured. I am considering legal recourse.

2022-04-20I had this accident insurance policy for five years but never used until I fell and fractured my femur in 3 places. After returning home from hospital, remembered the policy and called. At first they said would take 4-5 weeks to get claim forms; long story short, in about 6 weeks from original call I received a nice check in the mail, didnt even have to file the form, guess info was verified through medicare. I checked them out before I purchased, everything looked good and now I can verify that this is a solid reliable company, you arent pouring your money into a blackhole.

2022-04-20My monthly payment was on a credit card. This card was canceled due to a fraud on this card. When I was contacted by AAA, I explained what was going on and gave them information on a new credit card. There was a small charge due to my payment being late but they voided this charge.I am and have been very satisfied with AAA.

2022-02-24I am relatively young and am in good health. I have a policy with work but wanted another supplemental policy not tied to my job. I received this brochure about the policy and signed up. Please be very careful with this company as they are not 100% honest.I thought I was getting a 30 yr term policy which is correct BUT the kicker here is that the premium will INCREASE by a certain percentage every few years. Most term policies have a set premium for X amount years and then the premium increases. This policy however increases every few years so it is NOT a term policy in the sense that you will pay the same rate for 10, 20, 30 or however many years you elect. You will basically be priced out because the rates increase every 5 or so years by a certain percentage.I am glad I invested into this further before making a payment and wasting my money.

2021-09-14AAA life insurance has been top notch. Affordable rates for a Term Like policy. No hidden fine print such as limited payout for the first two year. The customer service is great. I called to verify policy details and the claims representative knew the answer to my question without hesitation. I highly recommend Term life insurance policies through AAA.

2021-11-11This company presents a limited view of their product. Once we received the policy, it was a balloon policy with costs skyrocketing as you got older. The long term costs of this policy is outrageously high for what is offered. We mailed, via registered mail, the cancellation request within the contractually prescribed period. We received multiple correspondences requesting additional information already included in the first packet. This information was sent again. We then had to call multiple times, only to get a response that they would only refund the last payment drafted, rather than the full amount per contract. We are still waiting on a resolution, and I have a strong suspicion this will have to be evaluated for litigation.

2021-08-31I have travel coverage insurance. Getting a hold of customer service was an exercise in patience, a lot of patience. Once I spoke with a rep, she was very helpful. That was a good experience. However, I requested a copy by mail of my insurance coverage. She informed me that she had placed the request and the docs would be in the mail within the next couple of business days and to allow 7 - 10 days for arrival. That was 3 weeks ago and counting. I think I will just stop paying my monthly premium. I suspect someone may be in touch with me then.
