Comment: Took my car to a body shop. Body shop charged me deductible but didn’t fix the car to original condition. Stated “those cars normally look like that”. Told the story to my insurance- they never doubted me. Contacted body shop immediately, showed them pictures of what a normal version of my car looks like, made them schedule a second repair and convinced them to pay for my car rental during second repair. I’m thankful for AAA!

Comment: We have had AAA Insurance and roadside assistance for about 4 months now, and we are extremely happy with the people and the services. Everyone we have encountered has been friendly and helpful, even when I had to have my car towed home. Our agent is helpful and doesnt mind that I prefer to pay my bill in the office. You can pay for both insurance and roadside assistance at the same time, Im the same place, whether you want to pay in person, mail, or on the AAA website or app.When we needed a tow, the driver got there within a half hour, much sooner than the operater predicted. He looked at my problem first to see if he could do a quick fix, and when that didnt work out, he chatted with me while he very professionally and with great care hooked up my car so it could be towed home. I rode in the truck with him the short distance back to my house, where he unloaded my car just as carefully as he had loaded it. He even got it into my parking spot, which is no mean trick since I live in a very mobile home park with very tiny parking spots!I have the least expensive plan that only allows for 10 miles of towing to an auto repair shop, but he took me to my house with no problem and said it was exactly 10 miles. If you do need help and can afford to go to a repair shop they will take you to wherever you choose, but they also have designated AAA shops or associate shops where you can get a discount on parts and labor for being a AAA member. You can also get plans that cover rental cars that they will arrange for you.One day, I hope to be able to upgrade my plan to cover longer tows and more rental car coverage, as well as other benefits! I love AAA!!

Comment: Great spot if you need to get your DMV stuff done cause they seem to be almost empty every time Ive been....although....what I found strange is when I walked in first time I was literally THE ONLY customer I could see...they took my info and directed me to sit down and wait to be seen...I then watched as nearly 15-25 employees were talking to one another, laughing, getting up and down from their desks running back and forth...I waited for like 15/20 minutes before I was called and Im still not sure why...weird..but it beats the DMV line any day so Ill keep going.

Comment: August 13 2023 my 78 year old sisters car caught fire in the driveway of her new home. After being extinguished by Redding fire department she filed a claim that day to the total destruction of the car, and damage to the garage door. It took until August 22nd for an independent agent to be sent from Rancho Cucamonga Ca. to determine the cause as a broken wire in the wirring harness. After calling for removal of the burned shell she is informed she cannot move the shell until an investigation team has done another inspection in 3 to 4 weeks. What in heavens name kind of service is this? I would never recommend AAA to anyone ever! I rest my case!

We have a Mercedes Benz s500 4matic so we have to call around to see who can fix it so I asked her if I tow it home till I find someone to fix it can I use another tow to get my car there? She told me yes! We finally find a place to fix it and AAA will not tow it again its only been 2 days since the first tow. And now I have to pay $303.34 for the tow to the shop. What do We pay all that money for??? Really Confused and Disappointed

I arrived just before noon, behind 6 other people, there was a sign out front saying they were closing for two hours from 12 to 2. Rather than telling me to come back, they stayed open for me and another person who was enroute to the office past the 12 oclock closing.Thats service!

Comment: I really appreciate the services my AAA membership provides me including many DMV services. On my last visit I did find the clerk at the DMV window to be less than satisfactory. She rushed through instructions on what to sign and fill out and then told us to go elsewhere with a clipboard to fill out the paperwork. When we looked at the paperwork it didnt make a lot of sense but we filled things out as best we could. After realizing wed made an error that same clerk appeared bored and still not very helpful in giving us more paper to fill out to remedy our error. Luckily after filling the 2nd form out we were able to deal with a very kind, friendly clerk who took care of our needs. I glanced at the original clerk who was now looking more bored than ever as she was texting or playing a game on her phone while staring at it. Next time if shes there Ill wait for another clerk.

Comment: Ive worked with AAA for 40+ years and have recommended them to my clients for years. However, something must have changed in management.My son used AAA at my recommendation, and when he calls to increase coverage, all he gets is voicemail. He wants to discuss his insurance options, but he also works full-time. If he gets a call back from AAA, the call will most likely go to his voicemail. AAAs agents voicemail says, only call once and leave a message or email for faster service. Essentially saying, go away; we dont want to talk to you!I did a 3-way call with my son and heard the recording. This may be the new corporate trend, but it doesnt work for my son or me. I recommend working with a local independent Broker you trust and can talk to without being pushed away once they receive your premium payment.

Comment: I have had good times here but today was unlike most, it made me uncomfortable, was quite condesending and almost irked me to the point to find a policy elsewhere out of inconvinience and frustration.Lady at the front left desk, whos name I did not want to remember, condesended to me, was all over the place finding unimportant and needless information blaming me while holding a poor people are such a pain mentalty.I simply wanted to find a way to return my policy to the lower payment it was for the last year. (After quite the length of time and after much more condesending it turns out it was the multi-car discount that was no longer applicable on the new policy, not a big deal in itself but what justifies the treatment)Then after all that bs continued to behave as though I had been the inconvinient one..This experience while the customer had to have the professional, amicable and polite disposition dispite that nastiness.. Not particular on coming back in soon.

Comment: I love AAA.I went to my local AAA branch in Redding, California to book my flight to Seattle.I was extremely disappointed to learn that the Travel agency assistance was closed due to the Covid pandemic. They had no idea if or when it will reopen. There is a huge unused empty space in the AAA office where the travel agency area used to be. It is why I am a member of AAA to have access to travel assistance when needed when booking a flight, cruise, or needing roadside assistance. All I could see was wasted $$$, AAA paying for wasted empty space in an office. Its just looked so sad and empty. Comment: I have the premium roadside assistance and boy do I love the fact that I can do all of my DMV stuff at AAA. Staff are nice and friendly and they get you out really quickly. I had a little bit of a complication with my registration this year because I had gone to DMV to pay the fees and I have some questions because I was having issues getting my car to smog. And that helped me up a little bit longer but normally Im in and out in 5 minutes with tags in hand which I love. But this time I had some complications and it literally took maybe 15 minutes tops I doubt it though. They are the nicest people Ive ever talked to the towing is great they tow you over 200 miles and are very helpful!!

Comment: My roof was damaged after Hail storm, which everyone in town knows about the major one that happened. After 40 years being with AAA, Im very disappointed that they think their adjusters are professional roofers denying my claim instead of listening to 2 certified professional roofers who stated that my tile roof was damaged due to hail. What did AAA diagnose, someone was walking and running on your roof. REALLY AAA, yes, we let our kids and family go onto a 2 story house and run around on top of sloped tile roofs. You are an insurance company, listen to professionals who fix roofs for a living, and stop denying claims as false, stick to what you are good at (which Im trying to find what that as at this point - maybe screwing over hard working people). You are quick to take my money for insurance, but when it comes to paying out, you look for every excuse over, in, and under the book. Im glad I will not have to use, mention, or look at your company again. You have lost insurance for several of my properties, autos, etc. Thanks for nothing guys.

Comment: I called the Redding office for a quote and told the agent I really just want to feel confident about towing. I had been left in my car over night by Geico and never wanted that to happen again. He took my number and never called me back. I went online to get a quote and that generated a contact from an agent. I told them the same thing I told the other agent and they stopped communicating with me. I have read some reviews and have concluded that if people are looking for work apparently tow truck drivers are needed, in the Bay Area, for night towing, and in rural areas. No insurance company cares enough to promise a customer that they wont be left alone on the road without a tow. Sad.

Comment: Im not even sure if this is the correct business to leave this review but I feel compelled to voice my extreme gratefulness...a couple of weeks ago I was doing some light grocery shopping at Mighty Fine Foods in Bella Vista and I had placed my groceries on the passenger side floorboard and I then placed my handbag in the passenger side seat. I closed the passenger side door and walked around to the drivers side but was devastated when I realized that my car had locked itself in the 5 seconds it took me to walk to the other side. And to add to the incredible frustration, my phone was inside of my handbag and I dont have anyones phone number memorized. I had no idea what I was going to do...if worse came to worse, I would have probably broken the sunroof glass. I went inside and asked the clerk if Uber was available all the way out here but he had no idea. An older gentleman overheard me and asked if I had locked myself out of my car. I replied yep and he smiled and said Ill get you taken care of...Im a Triple A driver. It LITERALLY took him less than 60 seconds to get my drivers side door open for me and I was able to head home without having to break my window. Sir, whoever you are... whichever AAA you work for should be incredibly proud to have you on their team. You are an amazing human being and I sincerely appreciated your help that super freaking hot day lol youre an angel. Thank you. And hey...AAA... give that man a raise...or at least a vacation. You guys have gained a customer with me...if I ever lock myself out or need a tow or something I will call you guys first from now on. Great customer service goes such a long way. Dan (wearing a AAA Volunteer shirt) was confused by my DMV paperwork so refused to help me. I assured him that he could, as the Chico office had already worked on it and knew what they were doing. I even offered to show him the paperwork that was signed and stamped by the last AAA office. In response he said I wouldnt have done it and insisted AAA couldnt do it. He didnt even pull it up in the computer, just refused to help and insisted no one else could help either when I asked for someone else. Even if I was wrong (which Im not and have papers to prove it) he didnt have to be so rude, combative, and unhelpful, refusing to even attempt. Thats my last time in that office.
