Comment: Writing this review in regards to our experience calling the AAA Whittier Insurance & Member services on Saturday 12/9/23 at 11:50am. My girlfriend was placed on hold for 30+ minutes after requesting a declaration of her policy.After feeling that she was left forgotten on hold, my girlfriend called the office from a separate phone number. Her call was picked up my a woman in Sales, who did not state her name. The woman stated that they are typically busy on Saturdays, which is completely understandable. My gf then asked for this woman’s name, and her exact response was “I already gave it to you, so it’s not my fault if you didn’t hear it the first time”, and then hung up the phone! In disbelief, we decided that we should go to the branch office in person because clearly this woman does not care about her job or providing any level of customer service to clients.We will be writing to corporate about this incident and switching providers for our entire family as a result of this appalling experience.

Comment: This review is for the AAA membership. Most people get the membership for the emergency roadside assistance specifically towing and AAA is very aggressive in selling their membership. I’ve been a member for about four years and I’ve used to service twice for simple job such as jump start and flat tire change. Today for the first time I requested a long distance tow. Not sure what the policy is with their contractor tow companies but I waited over 2 1/2 hours because the assigned station did not have a long-distance driver which I think is not true. What I believe is their contracted price with AAA doesn’t pay them enough so it’s not worth it for contractors to take a long distance tow if there are other jobs available where they make more money. So for AAA to sell such a service and does not have contractors are willing to take the job in a timely manner is a poor standard in their membership. I’ve waited almost 4 hours which, for my time is much more than the membership that I paid. Luckily this it wasn’t an emergency situation. AAA really needs to reassess their long distance, towing service and the contracted amount with the local tow yards.

One note, not sure what office culture is there or if it was casual day, but maybe they could benefit from a dress code or possibly team wear. A uniform shirt or polo, even a team jacket something comfortable but professional looking because everyone looked like they were just running errands or going to a grocery store. Some a little disheveled some with bed head. It gives a bad impression of a very on point professional competent staff

Comment: I’ve been with TRIPLE AAA auto insurance for 3 years now and I have saved tons of money with them!When I first started looking for auto insurance I didn’t even consider them but I said, “Why not?! It doesn’t hurt to get an quote.” I submitted an online estimate and the next day Cindy Garcia reached out to me and provided me with a quote. A few other agents reached out as well but weeks later; Cindy reached out right away. Therefore, I drove to the AAA store, before I knew it, I was in and out in 5 minutes!Documents were processed, the person who helped me, (also had some cool tattoos) asked me if I needed my registration card. When everything was completed, I received my card, and I was on my way… Very satisfied, thank you for the help! Will definitely be back in the future to process my dmv paperwork.

Comment: Called AAA because I had questions about renewing drivers license and also in regards to applying for a real ID and the recorded message said to go to their website for more accurate information. Went to website where it said they did provide the services, real ID required starting application process online. Decided to proceed with regular renewal going into local branch. Well obviously online information not the most accurate information as they told me at branch they are no longer doing drivers license renewals or real IDs, wasted time and a trip for nothing. Thanks AAA. They should update their information online or pick up the phone at branch.

We were not allowed to walk in together due to covid; it annoyed me because I had just seen a couple walk in together, then another after we had finished. What gives? My husband was able to get his done, but I want so successful... the guy claimed I had not done my smog check and wouldnt hear it. Shouldve just walked into the DMV... With the lines they have now, it wouldve been a faster process. It took us 45 minutes at AAA. Smh.

I wish I would have gotten the lady that assisted me with my title change, she was rather condescending and her tone was quite patronizing. The only reason I pay for AAA year after year is to avoid that same attitude, guess is back to the DMV if theyre going to treat me the same way, at least Im not paying for the mediocre service weve come to expect from the CA DMV.

Provided the person working the outside check-in with my AAA information, she asked if it would be okay to get my cell number so they could notify me of when I could enter the building and get help. She offered a waiting area(socially distanced) in the shade, as it was a 108° day and suggested if it was more comfortable I could wait in my car. She said it was going to be about a 40 minute wait 21 minutes later I was in the building being helped by another very proficient AAA employee.

My daughter in in law was in a rear end accident where she was at fault and her funky insurance did not cover her passenger whom got hurt. That is an additional charge to cover passenger for only Max 5,000. Ask a lot of question because you think your covered for certain things and your not. At Aaa they have a membership, including DMV Services, like renewing auto registration, etc. Also. Their Roadside and tow truck Service is so wonderful and gives me so much peace of mind. Whenever I have had trouble, they respond quickly and help me through my trouble. Drivers are courteous and they are very fast! I have always had excellent experiences with. All Auto Club representatives. They also have travel services and reservations. If you are driving, you can have individually customized road map booklets, called TRIPTICS. They find out where you are going and which routes you want to take. Then they mark your trip route from leaving home to returning home. The routes are marked on pages in your custom-made map booklets THEY ARE GREAT. BE SURE YOU GET THIS BEFORE YOUR NEXT DRIVING TRIP! IT REALLY IS A FANTASTIC HELP ON THE ROAD!
