Comment: Go here before buying your next vacuum cleaner! I know you want to just read reviews and buy online or at some big box store. But why not treat yourself to the advice of someone who repairs them all of the time? I was ready to shell out big appliance money for a new Miele. Ive had two Miele canister vacs, and the oldest one (at least 18 years old) was still going strong (the newer one did not last half that long). Except in the middle of house cleaning the 18-year olds motor stopped working. Well, it was a good life little buddy. We read the Consumer Reports reviews and headed to Best Buy, but oops, they dont stock Miele. On a whim I called Ace, which happens to be open on Saturdays. Do you have a new Miele canister, I asked, Im replacing an 18-year old workhorse? The owner replied Well, yes, but you dont want it. You want a real German machine, such as Sebo. Miele is now mostly made in China and will last just about its 3-year warranty period, or often less. Sebo is warranteed for 10 years, but you will not need to replace it that soon. We zipped over (loosely speaking, given Saturday afternoon LA traffic) and the cool Ace throwback shop was full of interesting new vacuum cleaners and new and used sewing machines, including some old metal sewing machines just like I used to use in a factory setting, wishing I could bring one home. And three models of Sebo canister vacs all for less than the cheapest Miele. Since we dont have any carpet, the owner recommended the lowest-cost model. Are you kidding me? No upsell? We gave it a practice run - what a zippy little machine - and brought it home to finish our weekend house cleaning. This is the type of business that deserves your effort. I mean youd drive to Best Buy, so just drive to Ace Vac and Sew! They also sell online, if you really want to go that way. Our cute Sebo is so lightweight, and easy to maneuver, and it sucked up all of the cat hair covering our hardwood with no problem. Thank you Ace Vac and Sew!

Comment: These guys are small appliance experts. Dedicated, genius, hard-working and incredibly diligent in getting your machine up and going. Couldn’t have asked for better service and a faster repair.It’s so easy to throw a broken appliance away and get a new one - but these guys make it even easier to hold on what you have and get it fixed ASAP.They don’t make them like they used to - but Ace Vacuum makes sure the things you have still keep working and running like a dream. Johnny is incredible - we’ll be back whenever we need a repair.

Comment: Ace Vacuum and Sewing provided me with excellent customer service. They take their time to help you find the right vacuum. I was able to test five different vacuum cleaners. The gentleman at the store took his time to explain and show me how the features worked on each vacuum. They dont rush you to make a purchase nor make you feel like the pressure is on to walk away with something. I was encouraged to take my time on making a choice. I went home and reviewed the two models I liked most and realized that Ace Vacuum and Sewing were also offering the best price on the different models. I went back the next day and got the Riccar 24 Series Deluxe and absolutely love it!

Comment: Took my sewing machine for a tune up. They kept it for 6 months, never fixed it, (it would always be ready in 2 weeks when I called) I finally picked it up to take it somewhere else and they had broken the shuttle cover, now it has to be taped shut. So they kept my sewing machine for 6 months, didn’t fix it and returned it in worse condition than I had dropped it off in.

Comment: I had a problem with my sewing machine and found Ace Vacuum & Sewing on the net. Couple of extra problems: I was in a hurry and my machine was not a brand known much in US (Silvercrest -Lidl European brand) and needs 220 volts to run. The owner (If I remember correctly his name is Dragan) had no issue with any of my problems: The original trouble I had with the machine he solved within minutes and did not charge me for what he did and his time. I also got couple of valuable tips from him.I recommend this place for your sewing machine problems, the owner is competent, nice and very helpful.Leszek

Dragan [dray-gan] the owner, is very honest and really goes the distance to give his customers the best service and prices possible.Ace Vac & Sew is one of the few mom n pops shops where you feel welcomed and that youre business with them is valued and respected.If you should go to Ace Vac and catch Dragan when hes not swamped, you can get him to shoot a game of darts and get to talk with a very genuine and unique gentleman thats one of the best people youll ever meet.(But be ready for a skilled opponent !)

I took my Miele vacuum there BC it wasnt doing its job as well ...needless to say, when I got my vacuum back, the very next day, it was working better and looking newer than it ever has. On Halloween afternoon, I came here desperate with a broken motor pump for my sons Ghostbusters Stay Puft Man costume. The owner of the shop dropped everything and got to work on repairing my sons long- anticipated costume. He repaired the motor pump and saved our Halloween.This is the type of customer service that is hard to find. The new owner is experienced in fixing vacuums, sewing machines, and other household devices. His pride in craftsmanship and customer service radiates.

Comment: Horrible customer service. I asked for a quote and they never called me. Never got a call that they were waiting for screws or that the repair was done. I waited 4 weeks for them to repair my machine. Never going back there again.
