I was also looking to have the 30,000 mile service performed as well.Advanced Automotive stepped up to the plate and fixed the issues as reported to them and completed the 30,000 mile service at a fraction of what the dealership wanted to charge me.The technician did a great job communicating to Haley and Haley did a fantastic job keeping me informed during the whe process.I now have a relationship with an independent shop that I can trust and value! Comment: Was very nice experience and they were able to fix a ongoing issue that the dealership couldnt even find let alone fix in three weeks and $500 later the dealership just replaced the same part I just replaced a few weeks before plus it wasnt fixed and still had the same issue. Yet Advanced auto found the problem and fixed it for around the same price. But just in one day not three weeks. Very kind people and easy to work with and with my AAA insurance card I even got a 10% discount. Super nice 👍. I plan on coming back to Advanced auto if I need anything else worked on.

Our check engine light started flashing at us on our way down to Southern California just as we were leaving Redding and we could hear knocking from the engine. Not a great way to start a trip! After an overnight at a nearby hotel, we called Advanced Automotive around 6:30 am, thanks to some great reviews and an early opening time. I couldn’t be happier that we did. We brought in the car and Paul talked us through our options and made it super easy to understand what they would be doing to diagnose the car and how much it would cost. They even provided a shuttle to the car rental office, which was a fair distance away! After diagnosing the vehicle, Paul reached out and explained that the issue was something that would require the Dealership to look into, even adding that in his experience it was an issue they would be covered under warranty, which they did. Everyone at Advanced Automotive was amazing, kind, and communicated perfectly. Would 100% recommend, and if we lived closer, would bring all our cars there!

Another shop (in Chico) reported THAT and the Turbo needing replacing. For 7 grand.I sought a 2nd opinion on the recommendation of a friend who had much faith in Advanced Auto. After 2+ days of diagnostics and road testing, as well as taking it in to be smogged at A-1 on Bechelli. It passed. It was determined to Not need these repairs at this time. Much Thanx to Advanced Automotive.

Comment: When my grandsons Camry unexpectedly quit running he took it to a Toyota dealership in southern CA. This dealership mis diagnosed the problem, made a couple unneeded repairs, then sent the car home without repairing it and with the advice that the vehicle possibly had a burnt valve and needed a new engine.Since my grandson needed the car for school, his parents immediately purchased him a new one.I offered to see what I could do to fix the car so that it could be sold or that my granddaughter might be able to use it.I would consider myself a better than average do it yourself repair guy. I restore cars as a hobby and have been tinkering with cars for more than fifty years. I do lack the equipment and knowledge to repair the more modern cars.After determining the Dealership was mistaken and this car did not have a burnt valve, I began attempting to repair the car by replacing a few parts however I was not successful in finding the problem. I realized that finding the problem was probably beyond ability.I contacted Advanced Automotive and was immediately impressed with the person who took my call and listened to my story. I was able to tow the car to Advanced Auto the same day and within less than two business days the car was running and ready to be picked up.During the diagnosis process and repairs I was kept up to date with what the technician had found and what the cost for repair would be. I never felt uncomfortable with what I was being told and have never been so pleased by any other repair shop.Everyone I spoke to at Advanced Auto was very pleasant and treated me as if I was the only customer even though I could see for myself that they were very busy.Thank you everyone at Advanced Auto

Comment: I recently came to Redding for school and I’ve brought my campervan to Advanced Automotive two times. I cannot recommend them enough. The owner is kind and honest and their team is proficient at diagnosing not just the problem, but the root of it, explaining what’s happening and fixing the underlying causes as well so that you’re not left to fix the same thing a year later. They found things wrong with my van that other mechanics missed, they showed me pictures and thoroughly explained the work that needed to be done. My van was not road safe and despite their crazy schedule – if you haven’t read the reviews yet, everyone wants to bring their car here – they got me in immediately. The diagnosis was shocking and financially devastating and despite that, Cody (the owner) scheduled me right away, explained what needed to be done, worked with me in ways he did not have to and made sure that I had a safe van to drive to school.Keep reading and you’ll find that this place is more than a mechanic shop. When I moved here, I didn’t know anyone. It’s in their office that I learned that I got an interview for my dream job and later got the job offer. They celebrated me, not in a surface level way, but in the kind of way that induces such joy that you become humble, still with gratitude and stunned silent by the power of the human experience. It’s a moment I’m sure they’ll forget, but I’ll always remember. Comment: I had my older truck air conditioning repaired and a leak from our intake manifold on our car repaired. Advanced Automotive did excellent work and got it done quickly! The biggest surprise was when they finished the manifold gaskets replacement, they informed me that their work was covered by a nationwide 3-year, 36,000 mile warranty!!! They are also extremely friendly, thorough, and reasonably priced. They even charged me less than the estimate! I would highly recommend them!!!!!

Comment: First let me say that Advance automotive, from the owner to Paul and there entire staff from the shuttle driver, that picked us up to retrieve our truck to the top notch mechanic that fixed it were amazing. They kept us informed about every procedure and cost associate with it though the entire process.My wife and were on a round trip from Rainer WA to Napa CA and back, on the way back home and our Ford F-350 pulling our travel trailer broke down at the TA truck center. A good Samaritan (Todd) helped as much as he could then recommended us to Advanced Automotive, we had the tuck towed there at about 4:30 in the afternoon, they had us fixed and back on the road within 48 hours . You cant ask for more than that :)The people in Redding California are very fortunate to have Advanced Automotive and their staff, in there community.If they were in our community they would be the place I would take all my automotive needs to.They were a life saver, and we will always be very grateful for there hard work, kindness & honesty.To advanced automotive: Thank you and we made it home with no issues :)

Comment: I took my 2017 Honda Civic that was not blowing cold on the AC to this place and they were able figure out that my ac evaporator core was defective which other people online mentioned that their evap core was also defective. My car AC now is blowing colder than ever thanks to Advanced Automotive. This place seems to be the most professional mechanic shop I’ve ever been to. They even thoroughly checked over pretty much everything on my car as a courtesy and they said my car is doing really good. They also did a courtesy check a week or so later to make sure everything was still functioning on the AC which I thought was very generous of them because they don’t charge you anything to do a courtesy check. I feel that these mechanics at the shop are very trustworthy and do honest work. They are real nice to you there and they treat you really well. I will definitely be taking my car here in the future if I ever have any more problems. I just can’t say enough good about this place. They are absolutely amazing.

We contacted Advanced Automotive. Even though their schedule was full they quickly added us to their schedule, diagnosed the problem ( heater hose fitting assembly broke), ordered the part and go the repair completed within a couple of days. We were only delayed 2 days in our trip. The staff were friendly, clear about the problem and the fix and completed the request on time and budget. Well after my first appointment and car return, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement, what happened all these five star reviews and here am I with a car that still doesn’t work and after paying a bill.A week later I received a text message from Mary at the office asking how I felt now my car was repaired, still waiting was my response. Cody and Tim are straight up with you and wont try to convince you to fix when there is nothing wrong. I recently had a transient noise in the front of my truck. It sounded like it was coming from the left side when it actually was coming from the from differential. It took forever to find but they kept at it. I have a great SUV and needed to decide between engine replacement or scrapping the vehicle. Comment: We broke down here about 3500 miles into pur 4000 mile trip. The truck went into limp mode while we were stocking up at Walmart. This place had great reviews and was AAA approved, so we had the truck towed there. Turns out an exhaust leak melted a bundle of wires in the wiring harness and they shorted out. Truck started smoking when they pulled it in. The people here were very accommodating, explained it all to us, and worked hard to do things right. They coordinated with the muffler shop to fix the exhaust problem. We feel good about getting back on the road with our 30ft travel trailer to finish our trip.

The previous shop owner of Advanced Automotive, Tim, stopped to take a look at our vehicle. He helped get us on the road enough to get to a rv park since this was Saturday and no shops would be open until monday. On Monday I took the Yukon to Advanced Automotive and they got me in right away to get out family on the road. The first radiator had a leak in it so they had to do the work a second time. Comment: I was coming down I-15 on a family vacation when my Suburban lost oil pressure. I sat on the the side of an off ramp for 30 minutes calling repair shops. I got the same answer from each of them, that they were scheduled out a week.I was starting to despair a bit when Tim pulled over in front of us and a quick diagnosis and then had us follow him to Advanced Automotive. There, the receptionist arranged a hotel, bumped someone previously scheduled (I hope they were understanding. We were grateful.), and personally drove us to the hotel. The vehicle was ready by lunchtime the next day.If I had to spend a day sitting at a hotel with unexpected car trouble, Advanced Automotive made it as pleasant and fast as possible.During my wait, I had opportunity to chat with Tim and other employees. Every mechanic has all possible certifications. They are as honest as can possibly be, relentlessly friendly and cheerful. I cant say enough good things about them.
