The Agewise team Michelle and Kristin were so attentive, knowledgeable and personable but most of all kind through the entire process of assisting us in helping find a great home for our elderly friend. This was my first experience with home assistance and this is such a great group and they literally did everything and took all the worry out of it. Would definitely recommend.
First call and conversation I had with Michelle I knew she was knowledgeable and wanted what was best for my Mom. I felt so much relief to finally find someone who could direct and guide our family into territory we felt very inadequate in. Michelle was with us and available every step of the way. Age wise was recommended to me by a Neurologist who said Michelle was a really sharp gal. He went out of his way to find a business flyer to make sure I had the information to contact Agewise. From his words and actions, I had high expectations ( if HE, a doctor was impressed?!.) In the end, my expectations were all fulfilled.My experience with Agewise was positive through the entire process of finding a better placement for my friend. Michelle gathered information specific to our needs and narrowed the field to places I had not even heard of before. She knew the questions to ask on the tours, and advocated to meet all our requirements, and wishes. Michelle gave me honest answers. She communicated to the facilities on areas where they fell short of our expectations.In the end, I had a difficult time choosing between two sites that met all our requirements, and needs.We had options!The one we selected has been a wonderful placement with improvements in safety, food, activity and communication. I am able to rest easier knowing my friend has better care.I have recently recommended Agewise to a dear friend and I am currently in the consultation phase with Agewise for the needs of one of my own family members.

Great staff. Very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to facility or home care placement programs and community/financial resources. They are very in-depth and detailed, preparing their clients with all the paperwork, equipment, and documentation needed. I talk to many of their clients/family members of their clients and find they are much more prepared and ahead of the game than others. I have been very impressed by the thoroughness of their work and caring attitude to go above and beyond, and would highly recommend giving them a call!

She helped get my mother placed in a home that is convenient and fits our needs, not only financially but she helped us look at all of the angles that we werent thinking about. 2021-08-18Michelle at Age-Wise is very good about listening to your individual needs. I had been looking for a place that accepts Medicaid for my 84 year old mother who has challenging cognitive issues/dementia. Michelle was very informative and had the knowledge and connections to get me to the right place. I am so happy with where my mother is now living and that’s all thanks to Michelle. I would highly recommend Age-Wise.

2020-06-12Michelle is a huge resource for families trying to figure out the best plan of care for their loved ones. She has first hand knowledge about nearly every facility for elders in West Michigan and provides solid, concise information. I used Michelle for a sounding board and a resource for both of my parents and frankly I dont think I could have done it without her.

2021-02-16I saw the info for Agewise Eldercare solutions at Mercy Health St. Marys Hospital this past November and really appreciated this resource to help decide where best to move my 92 yr. old mother after her hospitalization for dementia/behavioral changes as well as some other health issues. Michelle really went to bat for me spending a lot of time assisting with info and helpful options which led to an excellent assisted living/memory care facility for my mom. That Michelle provides this as a free service is really fantastic and takes a lot of dedication from her---the fact that she is an experienced nurse was very reassuring as well-----her Agewise agency is an excellent resource in West Michigan for those facing a challenging decision regarding where best to move a parent or loved one!

2019-11-16We are thankful for the help Michelle provided to our family in trying to find a place of care for my dementia mother. She didnt hesitate to throw her energy & effort into it, in spite of the fact that there were some limiting factors in finding placement, & ultimately our family decided to move mom back to WA State. I would not hesitate to suggest to others to use her services. She was very engaged, interested, & again, worked very hard to find us a solution & for that we are thankful.

2019-03-26Michelle was very attentive and knowledgeable. She knew much about VA and Medicaid befits and was able to answer questions that affected the place we were searching for. She was so prompt in her service. Within minutes she already had responses from several places. She genuinely listened to what was important to us and attempted to accommodate our interests. She was able to narrow the choices to ones that were the best fit for our situation. I highly recommend AgeWise.

2018-04-14We had a great experience with Michelle.She had great suggestions for assisted care facilities for us to check out. She also had great suggestions for in home care. We went with an in home care provider she suggested. Mom is now receiving in home care 5 days a week 2 hours per day. This has allowed her to remain in her apartment and not have to go into assisted living. Were very thankful for Michelles advice and help. We highly recommend her!

2018-05-30My mom fell and had a significant change in cognition. She became very confused and was not cooperative with care. I heard about AgeWise from a friend and immediately contacted Michelle, which was such a relief. We quickly found a place that my mom fell in love with and Michelle helped us figure out my moms finances too. Would highly recommend the advising services AgeWise provides!
