The only thing that separates my home from this park is a chain link fence. Its definitely a hidden jewel of Detroit, Mi. Located on the east side of DETROIT, sitting on the Detroit River,, where the Detroit River runs into Lake St. CLAIR. THE park is currently under renovation, the riverwalk plays host to fisherman, cycles, and its an amazing and peaceful site to sit and watch the sailboats, with their colorful masts. Windsor Ontario, CA, is on the opposite shore which is about a mile across the water. It is a beautiful, well maintained (by the city) park. The park is avidly used daily, it has clean bathrooms, a playscape for kids, soccer facilities, picnic tables, and lots of room
Great Park, lovely view of the water. We use to call it Lakewood Park about 30 Years ago. The park looks beautiful and stronger than ever. Great place to visit after work with a few Adult Beverages. U know what I mean. Have fun
Nice place for an excellent view of the Detroit River. You can see for miles. Too bad its not appreciated. Bottles, trash and broken glass litters the parking lot. Chunks of asphalt is missing from the driveway of both entrances. They play areas are outdated. Geese poop is EVERYWHERE. The grounds holds pools of water after it rains. Nice place to mediate, but thats about it.
Great view and nice old trees. Some of the paths need upgrading and part of seawall is caved in, but it is great urban park with potential
Nice place to relax and bring your kids. I wish they had a bathroom there, because I had to leave a family event early just to drive around the east side of Detroit to find a bathroom.
Returned to the park on 8/9/20, and the visitors keep to themselves. Great view of the river. My only distaste is the insurmountable amount of geese poop on the pathway.
This place is a little jewel tucked away in a quiet neighborhood.
Great park for almost anything you might want to do fishing, boating, picnic, anything just an overall great park.
We love it there we call it lakewood park but i know the park name is Ford. park we enjoy looking at the water and enjoy playground Mrs Alberta love taken pictures.
The roadway into the park is littered with potholes, and a bit of trash, but it still cant completely distract you from the stunning views of the Detroit River, the passing traffic, including some very large tanker ships.
This is a hidden gem on the Detroit River. So peaceful

I really enjoyed my visit to the park its nice quiet clean and peaceful unlike the Lakewood Park thats not a family environment the parking lot is always jam-packed people are always smoking weed and play it Loud Music Lakewood Park needs to be more like Ford Park

We have our family get togethers here. I like that its by the water and not to crowded. You need to clean your area yourself but that way I know its clean.
Nice area by the water but the playscape for the kids need to be rebuilt and there is a bunch of geese poop all over the grass you can barely walk without stepping in it because its everywhere there are bathrooms at the park but they lock them at 7:00 pm and there is one shed for family reunions and a decent size parking lot.
Very nice grass needs to be cut and a few big potholes when entering the park.

This park still has a great view of the water and is great for fishing. But has gone down since the 90s😐 with no major upgrades or changes.

Wonderful place to visit. Murray Wright High school had their alumni picnic here. Had a great time.
This park has a restroom, picnic tables and a play area for the kids!
Was here cause it was the starting point for the Tour De Troits tour de Eastside bike ride. Which was a absolute blast! If your a avid bike Rider and havent done the tour de troit, you must try it!
First time back here in 20 years. Still the same. Parking lot is terrible though.

Big and open park along the Detroit river with view of Downtown. There have been major improvements over the summer and will continue to get better.

2022-06-03Its always nice to go by the water and chill out. My only concern is the litter. They should hire my cleaning company Essential Brand Cleaning LLC to keep the parks clean. 😏

2020-11-17I can see Canada from my house.You can see Canada from this park; its right across the river on the south side. Park is large, clean, and filled with geese. Large trees make for good oxygen.5/5 would take my dog to poop there again.
