I had an extreme problem with my computer, it was taking hours to load every single program, and, as a person who works from home and with a bunch of deadlines looming, I was in a panic. I spoke with a close friend about the problems I was having and he recommended All About Technology acknowledging that he swears by them for all his technology needs. I called them immediately as the tech I had been using just disappeared on me in my crisis. Willie, at All About Technology, said “sure I can take care of you, bring it in!” 24 hours later I had a fast, fully functioning computer with a fast new hard drive! These guys at All About Technology are the best!
My laptop crashed and I panicked because I thought all was lost since I hadn’t backed up my files. Willie and his staff at All About Technology were not only able to recover ALL my files, but also cleaned my entire hard drive and did so in a very timely manner. He is very professional and his prices are extremely reasonable. I highly recommend All About Technology for all of your computing and IT needs!

I went to All About Technology after a online company called NORTON ULTIMATE took my laptop from working to an expensive paper weight. They told me my hard drive crashed and I would have to put a new hard drive in it. And they would have nothing more to do with me.I took my computer to All About Technology on Michigan Ave., Detroit, MI; and they repaired it without having to put a new hard drive in. I was home in 4 or 5 hours with a working laptop. They charged me a reasonable price for the repair. I would definitely recommend All About Technology to anyone.Thank you, Jean Irwin

I have been a customer of All About Technology for about a decade. I have purchased reliable, tested laptops from Willie Brake at each of his three locations, and been more than satisfied with each computer. The price has been right each time (because Willie sells new laptops AND top-notch models slightly used by corporations). In addition, I know that I can run to All About Technology for any question or tech problem that comes up---and get excellent, knowledgable service.I just did that, in fact: my HP EliteBook suddenly went completely dead on me and would not respond at all. Rather than try my luck with any local computer store, I drove 200 miles to get Willies analysis. I desperately hoped to hear that I just needed a tweak, not a whole new computer! Willie came through again, and he quickly fixed the short circuit in my motherboard for a very reasonable fee. I get a lot of pleasure out of doing business with a smart, honest proprietor like Willie Brake---especially because Im supporting an African American, urban entreprenuer who gives back to his community!
Had a custom build I could not get to power on for more than 15 seconds. Took it to All About Tech based on the fact that they had great reviews online and they were local. Within 48 hours I was told I had bent a couple CPU pins when I placed it onto the motherboard. I ended up paying a pretty fair price and getting back a working computer. If I have other computer issues, i will be back

I was very impressed with not only the wide range of electronic devices I reviewed, but the explanations which were provided by Mr. Brake and the team at All About Technology. They were offered in simple terms that enhanced my understanding of the technology. He was not only very familiar with a prior computer system I was using and brought in for replacement, but he demonstrated how the new system was far superior in its capacity to allow me perform my work. I was very impressed and somewhat surprised that there was no obligation imposed upon me to expend excessive fees unrelated supportive service received. Life saver! Fast, friendly service! I got a custom-made gaming PC shipped to me that wouldn’t boot up, right out the box. So I googled “PC repair Detroit,” and All About Technology was one of the top results. Willie diagnosed the problem the very next day, then ordered the part I needed, and repaired my computer in less than a week. Saved me a trip to Geek Squad, and I heard they were huge up-sellers and scammers. A++++ Highly Recommend.
Mr. Willie Brake was not only about Technology but he was all about business too. I have a Apple Computer that I was having slow speed and poor performance problems with. I had contacted Apple by phone several times and wentbinto the Apple Store as well over a month period but to no avail. Mr. Brake got my problems assessed, got the computers operating system upgraded, changed my hard drive and got the computer up to speed, everything was resolved in a matter of days instead of the week Apple told me. He went the extra mile for much less than the cost that Apple had quoted me. I would recommend him for any computer concerns that you may have. I was referred to him because he helped a close friend of mine with his computer problem as well. He is knowledgeable, timely, helpful and had the parts I needed at the better price.

I used All About Technology on several occasions to repair my apple computer.My apple computer had water damage throughout from a water spill in my brief case. I was told by Apple it had extensive water damage and was not repairable and that all my files and information was lost. I sent my computer from Atlanta to Detroit based on a friends referral and testimony. And after several days of diagnostic work they repaired my computer and all my information was restored. I had my computer back in my possession within a week time. It was worth the shipment and expense as my files was priceless. I recommend this company regardless of what the issue is and where you live. They are my official IT repair company.LOVE them, they saved my LIFE!!

Willie came out to my house and worked on my computer that was having issues. He diagnosed the issue, and when he discovered what was causing the problem, he installed an antivirus program and I havent had any issues since. He was courteous and kind, and his prices were reasonable. I will be using this company from now on.

I am currently completing my Masters degree. With only weeks of classes left my computer suddenly would not not work. I immediately was referred to All About Technology. I spoke to Willie and he informed me that it was more than likely a battery. I desperately needed prompt service in order to complete and submit my final assignments. If I could of gave it zero stars I would have, Spent over a 1,000 dollars and one of the laptops I bought as a Christmas gift was damaged, I should of been smarter and checked it out better before I left with it. I dont appreciate the owner trying to lie and pin the blame on me he never showed us the laptop turned on said everything was perfect, just tried to hurry and sell us garbage so he could hurry and run off to get food that he wanted so bad. I noticed the damage soon as I turned it on, took me 2 weeks just to get in touch with someone. Kepted getting the run around, left several messages. Very unprofessional, rude, should learn how to do buisness and if you sell garbage you should atleast fix it and not try to scam them out of more money. I will never shop here or recommend this place ever again. Looking for electronics you can find these items cheaper on a swap site, save your money and time.I find it funny that you can reply back to a bad review within hours, but you cant get back to a customer for weeks. I dont know what kind of buisness or who is working and answering the phones but its very unprofessional. You sit there and say one thing and do another, write all you want to make yourself look good. Ive already repeated myself a million times to you so Im not sure why your asking the same questions? So Ill tell you again, Like I said I bought the lap top as a gift, never used the lap top had it stored away for Christmas, I called you the day after once my son opened his gift and realized something was wrong with it. It is my fault that I didnt check it out before I bought it, I just didnt think I would of been scammed. For the 100th time you never once turned the laptop on or showed us anything about it, it wasnt even plugged in. You hurried and did the deal in a rush to hurry and go eat. I called every single day, whoever I talked to couldnt even answer my questions, told me to text him a picture then didnt even reply back to me. Kepted calling he had no clue what to tell me told me I had to talk to Rico who he told me was suppose to be here but never showed up? What kind of buisness is that? Owning a buisness your suppose to make your customers happy. The way you handled the situation is very unprofessional and very disappointing. Should worry about getting to your customers within the time frame of you getting back to a bad review.
They are not diligent with getting back to you with repairs.. A friend of mine brought in a laptop that needed a new battery so he thought. They told him they would order the battery and call him back in a week. They did not call him when the product was in and he had to call them after sometime beyond the weeks passing. When he FINALLY got a hold of them they told him that he had a fried motherboard on a year old laptop. I am a computer science major so this sounds slightly odd given the fact that they insisted on him purchasing a new laptop with more enthusiasm than assisting him with finding the actual problem and letting him know their findings. My friend is a producer, so everyday without his equipment is a day lost. Not happy to hear this.
Took my laptop here for repair. Left a $40 deposit. Only to be told it cant be repaired and that I couldnt get my $40 back. But the repair person insisted that I pick up my unrepairable laptop for whatever reason 😒

Didnt diagnose the correctly touchpad not working after repairs kind of like a doctor you have a headache they cut off your foot and charge you for there services. Dont waste your time or money.

2022-02-26A growing frustration I have with community based businesses is the attempt to maximize their profit per instance, rather than understand sales volume. Whenever I go to get something I need they try to coerce me into buying the most expensive product they have, which goes far beyond my needs. Will even lie and try to pretend thats all they have. I try my hardest to support businesses within the community but, I dont like having to spend way more money than necessary. This is the type of stuff that makes ppl rather go an spend their money with their competitors. Thinks about it, you think Best Buy, and Microcenter grew to the point their at by trying to wring ppls pockets? No they get their customers what they NEED! When customers feel like they got a good deal theyll spread your business through word of mouth, not to mention theyll become return customers themselves. This will maximize the sales VOLUME which will get you more overall profits. So you can choose, either oversell items to a handful of customers, OR get customers what they NEED from a store right in their backyard and they go tell (on average) 30 others about your business, which will create RETURN customers and maximize your sales volume. It would be so much more convenient for us to go to a business in our backyard, but they must learn how to COMPETE!

2022-01-07Garrett sold me a non-refundable used laptop that was slow and I couldnt even get emails. Your receipt is when you find out that all sales are final and you have 30 days to put up their garbage laptops. Now Im out of $212 and a computer. Please do not do business with these con artists. Go to bestbuy.

2021-07-26My computer crashed the first of July. I decided to try All About Technology. I spoke to Garrik the Technition and he diagnosed the situation immediately. Need to replace my hard drive. I also got a Norton Anti Virus. Task was completed the next morning. Operating like NEW!! I strongly recommend All About Technology.
