Quaint motel. Friendly owner. Super comfortable bed. Very quiet. Great tv channel selection. So happy we decided to stay here. Water temp and pressure could have been better, but it isnt worth a complaint. Best motel rate in the area. Note: NO pets or smoking in rooms.

Very clean,quiet, comfortable rooms. The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. We rode the Hart/Montague bicycle trail. Very convenient as you can pick up the trail right behind the inn. Very close to Silver Lake dune area. Well stay here if were in the area again!
The customer service was the worst. The owner didn’t want us to have company even though he brought them down to the room and said they couldn’t stay long. That’s fine except he came back a little later and made them leave. When we asked why he said we broke his rules then made us leave and followed us out to our car. All we were doing was eating pizza and talking. I’m sure he will dispute this information but it’s totally true. I have never made a bad review before but I’m still in shock over his actions

This place is unreal for the money felt like I was home very CLEAN N FRIENDLY PEOPLE . Even though they dont allow PETS LOL . Understandable cause of other pet owners luckily I left my co-pilot home that week do to joint custody LOL . Or I would have never been able to stay at what I would say as the best HOTEL FOR THE MONEY you can get . They have truck parking an very comfortable beds wish I could have stayed longer . Wonderful little hotel. Even more wonderful people running it. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. the entire grounds and building are kept in very good condition! Highly recommend!
I was little hesitant to book a room in motel, but this place was very nice and clean. I business travel a lot so for room space and cleanness this hotel was as good as any Marriott hotel. No pool or other fancy stuff but to spend night room and bathroom was out of the ordinary.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I planned for a one night stay, which was what I thought the receptionist booked, but by the time my family and I were there, they stated they only do two night reservations. Had I known this, I would have booked somewhere else. The receptionist claimed I had argued with her over the phone about having a one night stay instead of two (which was completely untrue). My receipt also said I booked for a one night stay. I cancelled by reservation and found a room elsewhere. The whole situation could have been handled much more differently had they not been so rude. They hung up during the conversation and still charged me when it was their mistake. DO NOT BOOK A RESERVATION HERE. Unless you want to deal with the shady receptionist and have your money stolen.

So your response is irrelevant and has nothing to do with my stay. You are just posting things to say so that it does not look like your establishment is garbage.
The owner, Don, was very rude to us. If I didnt know any better, Id assume he was a racist. He had the audacity to ask: what are you, Arab?. He treated us as if we were scum. Not only was he very disrespectful, he made it clear he did not want us returning ever again by walking us back to our room after check out to make sure we didnt ruin his rooms. Never again will I be coming back.
Don is a saint! When my husband and I were traveling home from vacationing in Ludington our car was struck by a turkey which shattered our windshield rendering us unable to drive home. The gentleman who towed our car off the highway recommended this hotel and I am forever grateful that he did. The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable - just what we needed after a hectic experience. Don was extremely compassionate and made himself readily available to assist us with any need which included: allowing us to dry our soaking wet camping gear on the patio, searching the phone book for an auto glass repair vendor, offering his personal vehicle to us, allowing us to stay an additional two hours past check out, and finally jumping our car after the windshield was replaced because the car battery had died. We cannot thank Don and his dog Bear for the hospitality and grace that he showed us and wish him well. - The Sayens

I did not stay at this place however I did have an incounter with the owner... you see the place adjacent That Place has a wonderful breakfast and to cheer my daughters... we stopped with our very big truck and camper... I pulled way to the back lot of the motel and parked... rainy day... not many cars in the parking lot. While waiting for breakfast we were summons to move it or cops an DVD tow trucks would be called... when I went out he was waiting for me in his jeep.. apparently someone dumped their camper in his lot five years ago... this guy is a jerk... I moved the camper... I was soaked... but the breakfast was amazing!!!
I love this place! No smoking, no pets, very, very quiet! Everything is spotless! Next to a great chicken place, too. If you want a good nights rest, then this is your place!

Creepy owners. Freaks about kids dropping bread in the parking lot, had hair in the bed, and worst of all they threw my favorite hat away. I asked why they would through it away, and the response was if its your favorite hat then you wouldnt have left it. Who says something like that that owns an establishment. I will never be back, crazy and rude ownerns!!!
Awesome find! Utilized the suite and wow was it worth it! So large and has everything from a separate bedroom to a very large living room and kitchen! Great service with very clean rooms!
Booked a last minute stay on 4th of July weekend, owner was very nice and the room was very clean and comfortable. Rates were very reasonable and I would reccomend to anyone.

2017-07-20Extremely clean and comfortable rooms. The owners were very helpful and considerate. After reading some of these negative reviews it bothers me. The owners of this establishment couldnt have been more kind! We would absolutely stay with these folks again. We even received a thank you card for our stay with them shortly after our return home! 2013-07-09Cleaner than a 5 star hotelHomier than your sweet grandmother’s houseAffordable ratesThe couple that runs this place is the sweetest couple you can meet. We got a call from them during our motorcycle ride up from Chicago (Doing the Lake Michigan Circle Tour on motorcycles) just letting us know they are waiting for us and hoping we get there safe. We were a group of three couples, taking three rooms. When we got there, they - The couple (I’m assuming they were married) and there their cute toy puddle named “Bear” - greeted us at the entrance with smiles and a warm welcome. Bear occasionally walks on its hind legs like a bear (hence the name “Bear”). They quickly checked us in and told us what we needed to know about the rooms, etc. Already knowing the rooms were going to be clean (since we already saw how clean the lobby was) we went straight in and saw exactly what we expected. The absolute cleanest a room can be. It was as if we were the first ever to stay in the rooms. I didn’t even see dust on the base boards. The beds were crazy comfy, the towels were so soft and fluffy. We couldn’t have gotten it any more perfect. After an awesome night of sleep, we started to pack our motorcycles and the lady made sure to personally thank me for reserving the rooms with her and thanked all of us for staying with them. About 3 hours after we left, the man, which I’m assuming is the lady’s husband called us, telling us they appreciated our company and they hoped we were having a great ride on the motorcycles. When we finally got home three days later, I checked my mail and found a post card from that couple, thanking us again for staying with them. Needless to say, I WILL ALWAYS BE STAYING WITH THEM, at their hotel, when I’m in the area, even if I have to stay a few miles away from where I need to be.Thank you Dan and Dar! We appreciate your attention to detail and your personal touch!!!

2017-07-31The owners of this hotel are an amazing couple. So wonderful to us. Great hospitality. The rooms were clean. The towels we fluffy and soft. you can tell this sweet couple live for this hotel and its visitors. My family and I will stay there again when we come back to the dunes!

2018-10-30We booked a room for a one night stay and to our surprise the person had made a mistake on the phone and booked us for the wrong night. When we tried to explain our situation after driving to Hart for 8 hours and find out that we did not have a room the manager/owner of this hotel and the woman that had booked us in (who was cleaning at the time) were extremely rude and offensive. Me and my family walked out immediately and found another place to stay and we couldnt have made a better decision. Avoid this place at all costs, they have no sense of what customer service means... Update: 5 years later and this incident is still a very bad memory on otherwise an awesome trip. Shame on this place!

2018-08-18We got there pretty late but the staff waited for us. We checked in the room was nicer than I was expecting. Friendly older couple own it. We plan on staying there again next time we are going to the dunes for the weekend. They even sent a postcard after our stay thanking us for coming.

2017-06-04A very pleasant stay. The rooms are super clean. The hotel staff is very, very friendly. I needed a place to store my Jeep doors, and the owner let me store them in a secure place. Even brought out some tools and helped me pull the doors off. One was stuck. I could not have asked for a more pleasant stay.

2017-04-28Super clean, modern and comfortable place. Located right next to a very good place for breakfast and lunch, and across the road from the Big Hart Brew Pub, which totally rocks btw. The staff are very friendly and personable. And the rates are very reasonable. I tend to avoid the smaller chains and independent places because, as a frequent traveler, Ive got enough stuff that I cant avoid leaving to chance, so I generally look for consistency. Well this place was more than a pleasant surprise. If I ever come back to this region, this will be my first choice.
