The whole experience of working with American Log Restoration was pleasant and far exceeded my expectations. They had good communication and showed up when they said they would. The log repairmen were craftsmen who took pride in their work. They took the time to explain things and were professional, talented and polite. My cabin looks GREAT!!!
Extremely pleased with the job the team did! Professional, speedy, and extremely knowledgeable. Ryan came out and explained everything to us and thats exactly how it all played out, no surprises! Art was very polite and accommodating. He also did an extremely good job of matching the new logs with the old ones. A real craftsman! I would recommend this company in these gentlemen to anyone.

2022-08-25This was a great experience! We bought an older log home with water damage and rotting logs in one corner. Ashley walked us through the repair process and what to expect. Dan and Alex arrived bright and early and got straight to work. I’ve never seen anyone plane a log with the tip of a chainsaw! They did great work and the repair looks AMAZING. Everyone was so friendly and professional. American Log Restoration would be my #1 choice for any logs repairs. Thank you so much to whole team!

2022-04-25We have used ALR in the past and were very happy with their work. We recently had them do some repair of interior and exterior logs. They came when promised and did the work in the promised time-frame. The crew was friendly and hard working. The logs were matched well.We are not as pleased with the preciseness of the work with this job. Chinking was not smoothed out or blended completely, chinking was left on the logs and there were saw marks on some of the logs that were not being worked on. Ryan offered to have the crew come back to clean off the chinking and sand the saw marks, but said the chinking between the logs was as good as they could do.We would have ALR back to do work again, but would check the work more carefully before the crew leaves. This is hard work and we appreciate what they did.

2022-05-13From first contact to finished project American Log Restoration was fantastic. I own a 1930 log cabin in the Catskills in New York state, and it is HARD to find people who do the work American Log does. And they were great start to finish. Coordinating the site visit and contracting through Ashley, who kept me informed of next steps and timing, through to the execution of the log repair by Alex and Mike, who were incredibly skillful and efficient with the custom fitting of each log. They matched the character and style of the rough ends of my cabin perfectly. Couldnt be happier with this group. Highly recommend

2022-06-02From the beginning Ashley was very responsive, from having someone come out and quote us as well as getting the work done. We were not a very big job and very happy they could get us completed as quickly as they did, sooner than originally expected. Dan did great work. Worked long days and we are happy with completed job. Feel they were fair and honest. We would recommend them and use again when needed.

2019-07-07After many months of waiting due to weather the crew arrived on a Saturday around 11:00 AM. The assessed the work to be done and went at it. by 4:30 PM they were done and cleaned up. They did a great job custom fitting the logs in place. I would recommend them and use them again.

2020-09-17We have lived in our log home for over 30 years yet when it was time for a bit of log maintenance to be done, I had no clue where to begin. We made the right choice in choosing American Log Restoration, Inc. Even with all the challenges of 2020, the team was professional, responsive and knowledgeable, and the crew really knows their stuff. To my amazement, the entire job was completed in just a few hours and they did fantastic work. I had a few questions about the new logs and Ryan called me right away with advice which I really appreciated. If I could give more than five stars, I would!

2021-03-17Replacing and/or restoring the logs on a log home requires very unique and tough to find professional craftsmen. It can be very challenging to find the right company and when you think you do, its still frightening as the work begins. Our experience was the very best from start to finish - starting from Ryans visit to provide a quote, follow-up from Ashley, and then Dan Perrys superlative workmanship as he began and ultimately completed the job. 2018-12-29Dan Perry did a great job on repairing/replacing the damaged logs on our cabin. He is definitely a craftsman and did the job by himself which we think is amazing. We have always been do it yourself people, and appreciate how hard some things are to do by oneself. He did it in one week and left everything easy for us to clean up.
