I went in as a walk-in for a septum piercing. The artist who does the piercing was in the middle of an appointment. I was given a timeframe by Nicole and she took my number to call me once he was available. I returned and I was pleased with the customer service and hospitality. The staff was down to earth. Good vibes and laughs. The piercing itself was painful for me however he made me feel comfortable and walked me through it. It ended quickly. I love my piercing! I’ll probably return for some artwork. The place was clean. Customers were wearing masks and hand sanitizer was available. The piercing utensils were straight out a new package.
I took my 5 year old daughter to American pride to get her ear lobes pierced, which she had been asking for for almost 6 months. Marlee helped us and he was amazing. He first made sure my daughter did actually want her ears done. He took great care in the placement of the piercings, then talked her through everything he was doing. Everyone in the shop was fantastic with my daughter. I really appreciate them and their care.
Amazing. ive gotten both piercings and tattoos from here and i will never go anywhere else. Winter 2019 i got my nose pierced by AJ and it was perfect, no problems or scaring. Kat did my tattoo a few months ago and did amazing. exactly what i wanted. and today i wanted to get my septum pierced because of the friday the 13th deals and did. AJ was quick, polite, and very friendly as always. he walked me through the process and did amazing. the piercing (for me) hurt WAY more than i expected, and i got so light headed then instantly felt sick. he went above and beyond making sure i was okay even with the craziness of them being so busy. gave me lots of water, and sugar. when i felt like i was going to be sick he even checked on me through the bathroom door. (i know im a big baby.) over all, everyone here is always super friendly and patient. i will never go anywhere else for a tattoo or piercing.
I went I got my second holes in my ears done today by Amber. She was wonderful in explaining everything to me. From making sure I had the right size hoop from my ear to the cleaning process. She even triple checked with me about the placement to make sure I liked them. I’m so happy with them.
Money is not a problem i have been here twice a total of 4 dermals i have with two different people there. I can say my second go round i will not be coming back. Different strokes for different Folks. Everyone Experience is different. I can say on my part my piercing are off. Upset. Yes
I got a small simple tattoo a week ago and am not happy with the result. The artist was not at all friendly until I paid him when we were done. The lines on my tattoo are incomplete and faded, absolutely would not go here again. I am going to have to get my tattoo redone elsewhere
I went in for a nose piercing. they had little to no selection and sold me on a silver nose ring that ended up being WAY to big, even despite me pointing it out how big it was. then they proceeded to repierce me with another smaller ring in the same location which was still very big. despite this they still made me pay for both rings. 0/10 would not recommend.
I got an industrial piercing about a week ago. I was in and out pretty quickly. I dont remember the name of the person who did it but they were knowledgeable and professional.I am happy I got it done here, since I was scared of it being a painful experience but it went very smoothly and not very painful. The pain came 3-4 days after though, but I think its normal since it looks fine now and it doesnt hurt anymore.
I have been to American Pride in the past to get simple tattoos which were done well. Two weeks ago though I got a tattoo by Ody. The stencil looked great and I thought it was a simple enough design anyone could do it. The tattoo is not good. It is thick black lines that look scratchy and are uneven, some areas are even fading out already. He did not follow the stencil. I am very unhappy with this experience, and as I said, it is a very simple tattoo and shouldve been very easy for anyone whos held a tattoo machine to complete. The only positive is that its not crooked. If you go to American Pride, make sure youre getting a very simple tattoo and make sure you dont care too much how it turns out. I will be going to another shop to get my tattoo fixed or covered. I was hoping it would look better as it healed but it doesnt look any better. I couldve had better work done by a kitchen magician.
Although the staff was friendly, I felt very bulldozed when it came to explaining what and how I wanted my tattoo done. They were very rushed and were not truly in tune with how I wanted my tattoo and were very firm and matter of fact about what they thought would look better. Less than 24 hours later Im researching laser removal. Ive had 2 tattoos before this one, but this atmosphere just felt very rushed and pressured as opposed to truly being heard and having the employees work *with* me. Not much of a consultation. Be prepared to really stand your ground. In retrospect, I should have walked out.
The shop was incredibly dirty. The carpet looks absolutely terrible and didnt inspire a lot of confidence in me when I went in to get a couple ear piercings. The piercer was rushing and didnt tell me what jewelry she was going to put in, what gauge... nothing. I had to ask questions and she seemed clueless about what titanium anodizing even was. The little cubicle where I was getting my ear pierced was DIRTY. There were stains in the carpet and on the walls. The tools were sealed in packaging so as far as I know they were okay. When she pierced my ear she didnt put any paper towel down and the blood from my ear got all over my clothes. When she was trying to put in the ball in the captive ball hoop she couldnt get it in (It is a simple process if you have ring opening pliers... seriously its a 5 dollar tool). I was in immense pain as she twisted my freshly pierced ear while struggling to get the ball in. She then opens the dirty drawer with her gloved hand and grabs another pair of pliers. Eventually she gets it in, and I feel like I am going to pass out. Needless to say nothing about my experience was clean, safe, friendly or welcoming. I will never return here again. They are expensive for piercings, 55 each for some no name stainless steel hoops! This is a terrible place and you should go elsewhere.UPDATE: I also wanted to add that I did try to speak with the manager a couple days after my experience and they were totally hesitant to help or come to a resolution, this place is garbage.
Went there to get my daith Piercings done (I have very bad migraines)it was no wait time the staff were very nice my piercer Was Patnice he took the time to explain everything he was doing he explain how the piercing would help. And made sure I knew how to clean them properly. It’s coming up on a week now since I got them and haven’t had a migraine and my piercings are doing great.
I stopped in to buy a plastic retainer for my nose and Daith piercing before I had some medical procedures that required all metal jewelery to be removed. The girl at the front desk, Lauren, was pleasant. She said she could insert the retainers for me. When she went to remove my labret stud from my nose, I am pretty positive that instead of removing the two pieces, she ripped the entire stud through the piercing. The top piece went flying, my nose was bleeding a good amount, and it hurt as badly as it did when it was first pierced. She tried to tell me it was because I had an allergic reaction to my jewelery (surgical grade titanium), which I’ve worn since it was pierced in August with no issues. After searching for about 10 minutes, I found the top piece on the floor, along with a disposable razor cover, many other jewelry pieces, and a staple. (Side note: the piercer wore gloves, the tools were sterilized and packaged, etc. Just the floor was dirty.). After some work, she got both retainers in, although my nose was so swollen, the retainer barely reached through the hole.I woke up this morning to find the retainer I had placed in my Daith piercing was gone. Who knows when that fell out and as I am scheduled for a procedure today, I can’t have the original ring put back in until tomorrow at the earliest. I don’t even know if the piercing will still be open then. My nose is still bloody, sore, and swollen. I keep having to push the retainer to keep it pushed completely through the hole. Changing a nose labret post should not hurt and end with blood. All in all, I will not be returning to this shop. Although it was convenient in location, my two piercings are going to be effected by this. I feel Lauren was kind and apologetic about what happened, but it seemed she did not have the knowledge/training to do what she did. She struggled with changing both piercings and did not ask for help. I feel bad for writing this review, but I feel like the owner and future customers should be aware.***Edited: I went to my normal tattoo/piercing studio today for help with my piercings. I was not only confirmed that my nose was torn due to the stud removal, but I was fitted with a larger gauge retainer than my normal jewelery. The retainer was also too short for my piercing. He also reassured me that my jewelery was NOT causing an allergic reaction. I was also told to watch my piercing very closely because it looks like it’s becoming infected due to the injury.
Got my family crest done here and I love the tattoo it took him 30 minuets to draw and around an hour and a half to do the tattoo! It was very fast and painless. A month later the tattoo is still in perfect condition and non of the colouring faded while I was in the sun in Mexico!
If I could leave zero stars I would, I brought my friend here to get her tragus pierced, we chose this place because I saw this tattoo shop had great reviews.. I didn’t catch the name of the piercer (Middle Aged man with a long beard, lots of hoop piercings) he wasn’t very friendly and messed up very badly on my friends piercing, he didn’t correctly thread the needle with the jewelry through, so instead he tried to jam the jewelry through my friends fresh wound, which is super painful. I asked the guy to re-pierce the tragus about 3 times before he listened to me (the first time I asked him he told me that he has “many years of experience”.. apparently) he finally listened and re-pierced her tragus and he made the same mistake AGAIN and jammed the jewelry through the wound really hard before I could even tell him to stop, my friend almost passed out from the pain and stress, DO NOT GO HERE!! I also have the entire experience on video!!
My UNDERAGE daughter just came home with a navel piercing performed WITHOUT MY CONSENT. The piercing was done by Pat. My daughter doesnt even have a drivers license and her only photo ID is her school ID. What kind of reputable place does this without any due diligence to ensure children are of legal age to get these procedures done? If zero stars were possible, it would be zero.
Would not recommend to anyone. Went to get my navel peirced. The first time i went the girl used the wrong bar which cause infection not only but while trying to peirce it she stabbed me in 2 other places on my stomach. Had to go back it get it taken out. When i went in they said they would have to charge me again for there mess up. But after talking to the manager he agreed to to it for free. Waited 2 weeks for it to heal just to have another guy do it and he didnt put it deep enough so it ripped out. Wont be coming back.
I love this place definitely recommended 5 stars all the way fast clean safe and have really nice people working here I got my nose and belly button pierced and called to make sure they did walk in piercings but I do have to make an appointment for tattoos now which is ok because of the pandemic which is very understand and better because that means they want us to be safe with no harm, I got everything done by the front desk/piercer amber she was so awesome patient, sweet, descriptive, and quick I hardly felt anything I just really over reacted since they were my first two piercings 😂
WARNING!! My experience with this place was terrible! I got a tattoo thats (no ways in hell) looks like the picture I had given the artist.. called 5 times in over 2 weeks to try to fix this and the owner (Who ever she is) is not taking my calls nor returning them.. Im at a loss here.. over all I over paid for the time he had worked on me.. I was uncomfortable with the attitude of the people working there and most importantly I didnt get what I was promised.. Very unhappy.. I actually wish I had never walked through the door there.. 👎 Id suggest going els where.. Artist was OD..
They did an awful job on my tattoo and then tried to convince me it was because I didnt put enough cream on it. They fought me about it until I showed them the pictures of what it looked like on the first day. It was so messy when they tried to fix it they couldnt even read what it was supposed to say. And it was not fancy calligraphy. OD did eventually try to fix it but it was a lot more hassle and pain then I ever thought my tattoo would be.
The piercer was nice she seemed to be fresh out of being an apprentice she still needed lots of help but was nice enough and did a good job, nice people person. The front desk guy was a jerk. He was too busy laughing and joking with some friend of his to do his job. I had my license out for about five minutes while he laughed and talked. I put it away just for him to ask me for it again. Too busy to answer my questions about the form. I almost didnt go through with it because he was such a tool. If it wasnt for him I would give this place 3/4 stars.

2022-04-01So I went there to get a stud in my left nostril and the black man tattooing me tattooed my piercing incorrectly on an angle. It fell out a week later. I then came back for another piercing a week later after it healed. not only did I still have to pay full price for one of their mistakes, but a day after the female pierced the same spot my piercing yet again fell out. Haven’t been back since. Highly disappointed I had to spend over 100 dollars on a stud piercing.

2022-05-28Well, we all know sometimes that we can’t trust google hours. However, the 11AM-11PM hours on google matched the hours on the door of the shop. But, surprise, nobody was here. This explain why nobody answered the phone the two hundred times we called. Messed up! Plus you can’t find the prices on the website. And they have a dumb $100 minimum.

2021-12-29I had the best tattoo experiences with Wayne. He drew up such a great tattoo and did a great job capturing what I wanted in a tattoo. Overall clean shop, friendly, on time, and accepts walk ins and appointments. 10/10 recommend.

2021-11-21Amber was the best! My daughter (12) wanted a second ear piercing so we went here. My daughter was a little nervous so Amber took all the time we needed to talk it over, discuss cleaning and healing time etc. She took great care in lining up the second piercing so it would look great. We were both very pleased with her guidance! I highly recommend her :)

2021-09-06I got my septum pierced here two days ago by Wayne and it was BOTCHED TO HIGH HEAVEN. Had to take it out today after coming to terms that it was so messed up I would never “warm up to it”. It was literally pierced at a 45 degree angle THROUGH MY CARTILAGE. I may not be a piercer but I have plenty of other piercings and tattoos and have done enough research to know what a sweet spot is, where mine is, and that the piercing is supposed to be straight. I waited 4 years to get this done and am so incredibly frustrated by how horrible of a job was done. Do better. Especially considering you’re putting needles through people’s faces. Would give it 0 stars if that was an option.

2017-03-07Go elsewhere if you want piercings! Two friends and I went to go get piercings, a forward triple helix for me, a snug for one friend, and a regular helix for the other. The guy who did my two friends piercings seemed really cool at first (I was freaking out because these were my first cartilage piercings...I have 4 in my lobes though), he was telling me about all the experience he had and how fast and simple my piercings would be, but when it came to my turn, he handed me off so some newbie chick (owners daughter from what I gathered) who didnt have a clue. She started off fine, placed the holes and made sure they would look good. Then came time to pierce. First hole was fine with the needle, but the earring being pushed through hurt so bad, externally threaded bar (14g I believe...she never said, but it was way too big) being shoved through a smaller hole does not feel good. Then she couldnt get the ball on and was moving my ear every which way trying to. Second hole went a little better than the first. Third hole was horrible. She took the needle out and waited too long to put the earring through so it closed up and she had to shove it through, then there was so much blood she struggled even more with trying to get the ball on.Overall, she missed the cartilage on ALL three piercings! I had to remove the top piercing because it was hanging in skin so close to the edge of my ear you could see the metal bar through my skin. Then the after piercing care they recommended was bactine...which states right on their website We cannot recommend that Bactine be used for this purpose since body piercings are considered puncture wounds. Not to mention they said to come back in a month when the piercings are healed and theyll put new earrings in...basically a way to make more money since my piercings definitely were not healed in a month. The next two piercings might have to come out eventually since they arent in cartilage either, but for now, I had a different tattoo place switch them out to smaller (and much prettier) earrings. The piercing dude I went to at the new place told me this: my ear wasnt suitable for a triple helix and they should have talked me out of it (not enough cartilage in that area), the length and gauge of the bars they put in were too long and too think, and externally threaded bars are never recommended.I paid $155 for a triple helix done completely wrong. And I didnt even get to choose the earrings, so I was stuck with these bulky, ugly ones for months until it healed.Learn from my rookie mistake and do not get piercings here.
