Comment: I had a great experience getting my tires changed at American Tire. Chris was very helpful in helping me find the right tires for my car at a reasonable price. I only wish that the mechanics let us know why they didn’t change my tire valve stems (which Chris says they do with every new tire purchase). I called to let them know they weren’t changed, so Chris had me bring my car back in (he kindly prioritized me). When I brought it back, he explained that they weren’t changed due to the tire pressure sensors in my valves (which are expensive to replace). Just wish they had told me that when I first brought my car in. Other than that, I was very happy with my visit and my car rides great side my new tires 😊

Comment: Showed up after a flat on a spare tire and the power was out at the store. I left my car and the manager was quick to call and apologize for the power outage. Once power was restored, the tires mounted quickly and at good price. I was given a fair price on an oil change and alignment as well. I will definitely return. Thanks!

Comment: Very disappointed and will never go back. I unfortunately got a flat tire in this area and went straight to this location after reading the reviews. I spoke with the manager Guerrero who was extremely condescending and rude. I was very confused by his actions but unfortunately I was unable to drive away due to my tire situation. He first sold me a tire that was not requested and when I noticed it was the wrong tire he told me that I was confused and that was the only tire available and my tires were discontinued. Why didnt he tell me that at the beginning??? Then he proceeded to tell me that I would need to buy 3 other new tires because my AWD would not work since the tire he put on my car was different. ?????? I questioned him about this but he continued to try to up sale me. Disgusting! I left feeling totally ripped off.. I have since found out he was COMPLETELY lying to me. And the tire I had to purchase out of an emergency was $25 more than it should have been and that after Guerrero said he applied the rebate. American Tire Depot you can do better! The only reason I am not giving them a one star is because of house nice the guys in the garage were.

Came with 18’s but wanted to upgrade to 22’s but was unsure of the fittingThey looked up the different tire options and was able to order the wheels I wanted (cheaper than any wheel dealer - online and about a dozen local ones).Sebastian and Danny (manager) we’re very patient even after I’ve called them numerous times. In a demanding and often stressful service position, he remains kind, friendly and professional. A few proof points: Once we had an oil pan leak after a service. My son had taken the car to SanDiego. Robert was accountable and coordinated the repair down there for free. The same vehicle had another different, unrelated issue, he reviewed the reports, diagnosed the issue and repaired it - saving me over $1,000 compared to dealer. Another time he could not service my minivan due to the type of repair, he advised me affordable shops to take it for repair. Robert is good people. I have been taking my three cars to American Tire Depot: Thousand Oaks for years because I trust his counsel.

He helped my daughter and I pick out new tires for our truck, patiently showing us many options and sharing his insights. And on the day that we were set to have them put on, when my battery happened to die at home, he walked me through getting it there and generously installed the new battery (something that the dealer told me he would need three days to do!?). When it came to the tires, they were perfect. He explained the warranty for both the tires and the battery and included all paperwork with my receipt. Top notch. Highly recommend. Genuine, honest people. I won’t go anywhere else!

Comment: American Tire Depot is one of the best places you can go to for an oil change in Ventura county. Over all their prices for a basic oil change and synthetic beat anyone else’s prices. They are very fast but careful and very welcoming. As soon as I was ready to drive home but little did I know my car wouldn’t start. Even though they were already closing the shop each employee went out of there way to help me start my car and made sure I was out of their within the first five minutes. Comment: Had my car into my local dealership for an oil change, when they found a nail in a tire and said they couldnt patch because of the location. My rep suggested a tire center and specifically recommended this place.Dropped in with no appointment and was helped by Robert. He took the information and told me it would be about 30 minutes. Seemed strange he didnt give a pre-estimate but I figured he would call with the info as I went to the local Starbucks. Came back 30 minutes later and tire was patched, Robert mentioned the location (side/border of tire) couldnt guarantee wouldnt leak and to keep an eye on it. Then handed me the key - no charge.Now, I hesitate to mention this, because I have no idea if this is something they do for any patch or maybe it was because he was helping another customer, but I would have been happy to pay $50 and thrilled with $25, but never did I expect complimentary, at least not if it wasnt their tires.Needless to say Ill be returning next time I need to replace tires on any of my cars - I usually use Costco because I figure they arent going to add anything unexpected but these guys clearly treat customers well and are trustworthy.

Comment: Chauvinistic, rude and unprofessional are the words that come to mind after my experience at American Tires today. As a woman I am used to being talked down to whenever I get tires from this establishment but today I was met with the rudest clerk at the front desk. I parked in the spot to get the pressure checked in my tires around 1 pm and was told to move to a parking spot and someone would be with me. No one came so I went inside thinking perhaps no one saw me. Still, no one asked if I needed help. Then I went to the front desk clerk who told me I had to park in the spot set aside for tire pressure. I advised him I did and then someone told me to move to a parking. He did not respond with the appropriate “I am sorry, that man was incorrect. Please park in the spot after this man (a gentleman who had already parked in the spot after I had moved) is taken care of and we will definitely take care of you next.” Instead I was met with an excuse of the man being confused because of course, as a woman, I cannot form the words “I need to have my tire pressure checked” without confusing someone. No apology nothing. Then I was instructed to park in the spot again and when I frustratingly expressed I did and wanted a solution, I was met with a brusque “what do you want to do?” I was not maki g a purchase today but I have multiple times in the past. That may have been necessary for me to be treated with even the slightest bit of respect.

Comment: I called the telephone number thinking I was speaking to the store. It actually was for a call center which I didnt like but very soon found that it was the best thing that happened. The customer service rep was amazing and rather then hard selling me he walked me through many options and worked hard to get the price down. I ended up paying $200 less that the best price I received elsewhere for the same set of tires. At the store, Armando explained service issues that were specific to my car make and model. I had no idea and will end up saving me money over the life of the tires using the tips he offered. Great experience!

They have free tire inflation/inspection bays where you can just drive up. Ive had them rotate tires and replace on my Tesla M3 -- which you may not realize requires some special care when jacking up the car -- and they know what theyre doing. Very professional staff, they are a major asset here.

Comment: Great place to get good tires at a low cost! Once in store service is friendly. However, getting information over the phone was an absolute nightmare! (Hence the 2 stars) I was quoted and told over phone for a set of 4 tires that was suppose to be ordered and delivered at store location the next Monday. The manager on site told me he would call me when they came in on Monday. I received no call and even attempted to call Monday to get info on the delivery. He said that he would try to figure out where my order went and told me again he would call me back. He did not. The next day, Tuesday; I received no call and waited for most of the day until I called in multiple times to get any information. I finally got a hold of the store which then proceeded to tell me that the tires had came in earlier that day. Then why wasnt I told so my car could get serviced? Oil was overfilled too high for my liking and comfort. Brett the manager was great about draining and refilling to make me happy. He was great. I get home after they refilled the oil level to correct level and noticed oil dripping from under my truck. Popped the hood and see oil was spilled everywhere and poorly wiped up. Its been 2 weeks now and its still dripping a small amount. Happy with the tires but a little ticked about the oil change.

I needed a specific tire and he was able to get one that very day and it was very short noticed so I didn’t expect to even get the work done that day, but Brett was able to make it happen. He was able to get his guys and have my car ready during my lunch which is an hour. He also topped my fluids off and inspected my car. He also recommended some things that my car needed for preventative maintenance. I live in Oxnard, but I would definitely make the drive out here to this American Tire Depot. Brett is a very honest manger and will definitely give you some good deals compared to somewhere else . I’m very satisfied.

I was in town for a quick trip and unfortunately landed a flat tire, I was extremely concerned considering my tires usually have to be custom ordered since the majority of tire places dont carry this size tire on a daily basis, and my biggest concern was very few places have the machines to remove and replace the tire from the rim since the rim size is a 24. (They usually go up to a 20)I called American Tire Depot around 10:00 am and spoke to Brett, I explained to him my situation in a panic and he handled the situation like a Boss. He made a quick call, ordered my tire and by 4pm had the tire there and ready to install, not to mention he told me that he checked and they did in fact have the proper machine to handle the 24 rim size.When I arrived with my truck on a flat bed the guys in back had it in the garage in less then five minutes of it coming of the truck. They were great as well, everyone there had a positive and welcoming attitude, they were professional, efficent, and met all the specific accommodations needed to get the job done.I was in and out of there in less then 45min to an hour. Not only do they price match but already gave me the lowest price Ive ever had on my tires. They explain things very well so you are not left in the dark about anything. After not being able to get my tire repaired due to it being a 2008 tire and too old to be legally patched (these guys also educated me on how to find the manufacture date on any tire), I was quoted over $100 a tire at another place. Then the American Tire guys were able to find me a tire for $60 and I had it installed and after fees it was under $100. I have an oil change to get done soon and I think I will be giving them my business instead of Jiffylube! Thanks again for everything guys!

I was initially told that the tire would be available the next day, but they had a machine issue, and could not put the tire on the wheel for myself or any other customers that day.
