Comment: Another great experience at Americas Tire. I have been using their services in California and Nevada for over 25 years. I always buy the warrantee even on tires from cars with tires not purchased at Americas Tire. My wife hit something on the freeway on a Sunday. On Monday they replaced the run flat tire at no cost. FYI, they are not open on Sundays but if it is urgent, they will honor the warrantee by reimbursement if you buy a tire from a different store and show them the receipt. Thanks Americas Tire!

Comment: Very friendly and they sold me four tires for my Scion. Everything appeared good but when I got home, I noticed they charged me $29 per tire for a Certificate for tire maintenance above and beyond the lifetime maintenance. There was an option for this but I was charged without being asked. Check your invoice. If customer service deals with this Ill give them five stars. I just received a credit for these Certificates. As promised I will change this from 1-star to 5-stars because they have served me well in the past for my cars and trailers. As with all vendors, check what you are paying for before you bring out your wallet. The people there are friendly and their workmanship is good. I would recommend them.

Comment: My partner and I have been going to American Tire in Chico since 2019. This is the place that we come for maintenance and when we need tires for all of our vehicles. The crew at American Tire are topnotch. They always treat us with the utmost kindness and respect, and they make sure that our vehicle meets the top safety standards before it goes back on the road because their goal/motto is to keep all of their clients safe on the road at all times. Matt, the manager and Christian, one of the sales representatives, in Chico, didnt just talk the talk, they walked the walk about wanting us to truly be safe on the road when we brought our vehicle in for tires. The tires were in unsafe condition to continue to drive on, but we couldnt purchase new ones at that time, and they were not able to fix them due to extensive wear and tear. Instead of just letting us leave and continue to drive on unsafe tires Matt and Christian spoke to each other and Matt worked out a deal with us so that we can continue to drive safely. Matt and Christian are outstanding human beings and some of the kindest people we know. It is clear that this is not just a business to them. It truly is about making sure that their clients end up safe and happy. I hope that the corporate group at American Tire realize the gifts that they have in Matt and Christian and compensate them accordingly. Fantastic!There is a guy today who helped me fill tires with air, in a rental Chevy Spark that totally was awesome. Comment: Its a sad day when you have to rate what seems like a good place very low over what is a smaller detail. However the level this businesss employees took this too was beyond petty!My family has entrusted this business, and enriched it with the privilege of putting new sets of tires on 6 different vehicles in 7+ years. While the service seems prompt 85% of the time, and the customer courtesy about equal, weve taken notice that Americas tire is biased against older and less pristine vehicles. Periodically we bring our vehicles by to keep the air pressure topped off, which should be a quick, easy, hassle free experience. It is for our 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2021 vehicles. We are quickly attended to, and on our way. However, you should be aware, that if your bringing in any vehicles that are older, such as we have a 97, and an 02, which definitely show their age, the tire fill up person puts you thru an interrogation on If you own the vehicle, did you buy the tires there, when did you buy them, whats the name the tires were purchased under, phone number, etc. etc.... Weve taken note that every time we take in the not so nice vehicles which have their tires just the same as our newer vehicles, they spend more time authenticating those are their tires and you are you, than the time to actually fill the stinking air into the tires! 5 minutes on one go round in which the guy went inside and left us before coming out to continue inflation interrogation. If were in our newer vehicles which are in very good condition, they dont even ask a single question, they just get it done.In closing-, I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone with cars more than 10 years old. They most definitely will make you feel like your not worthy of the efforts they claim theyll readily supply when your laying out your $$$ to buy new tires. People dont deserve to be treated like second class customers based on the age or condition of the vehicles they bring in to put new tires on-

Comment: I have gone here with all my cars and trucks for 15 years. Never again after today. They tried to take advantage of girlfriend with her tires under warranty. She had a nail in the tire and the tech said the tire was in the yellow close to red so they cant fix that tire. Then it changed to well because 2 of your tires are in red and the other is yellow you have to either change the tires or go somewhere else. We had a warranty on the tires and he changed the prorated amount 2 times before giving a dollar amount. One tire on the car was almost new as the side wall blew out 4 months and they exchanged that 1 tire. They didnt want to put that tire to the rear. They used to have competitive pricing but that is definitely not the case that I have found lately.

He was of zero help and had no interest in helping me with my warranty issue on the tires I had previously purchased. So I waited until Monday when Matt was in. Matt ordered my tires, installed them in less than 30 minutes once received. He also credited me for the tires I replaced, which were bad tires (Michelin Cross Climate). Working 12-hour shifts its difficult to get to the tire shop while they are open to drop off your wheels, eat, sleep And back out to the tire shop to pick up your wheels and make it to work on time. Matt and the other guys at Americas tire went out of their way to get our tires ordered and on the rims for us so I could pick them up on the way back to work. They made an impossible task doable. Comment: This place somehow managed to scam me into buying a previously repaired flat. They told me my flat couldn’t be repaired and I needed to buy one. They just happened to have the same one used in stock which they could sell me for $40 so I bought it. Later my tire went flat again and upon further inspection noticed a plug in the tire in a suspiciously similar location to where I remember the nail being. Also there was a white smear across the outer wall and I remembered my boyfriend and I had used tire marker on the tires for looks and it made me wonder if they plugged the hole and resold me my own tire or if I’m being paranoid. Either way I ended up with a flat after getting it “repaired” and had to travel two hours home with fix a flat as my end solution. I would have gone back the next day and complained in person had I not been traveling. Seriously disappointing.

Exceptional service every time Ive gotten tires here.. recently took my lowered chevy cruze to les schwab, and not only did they slam my car into the lift, but twice Ive had my O2 sensor ripped out of the back of the engine with a check engine light on when I get back in. With no mention of what I watched them do to my car. So for that reason, I chose to get quality tires through americas tire. Not only do they offer better tires, but the gentlemen working there are super friendly, very professional, and do everything they can to keep the customer happy. Much appreciated, guys! And if you have any warranty issues with your tires, there pretty good at disqualifying your warranty either by way of tread depth or length of service time on the tire. Keep an eye on the manufacture date of your tire purchase as this is also something that could void your warranty if it is beyond a certain age. I but a tire from them and had a sidewall blowout. They voided the warranty because of the tires age, but I only had the tire for approx. 8 to 9 months. Apparently, I shouldve checked the age of the tire when It was purchased. I think Ill go back to Les Schwaub.

Comment: Went to Americas Tire because my BMW had an unrepairable flat and the team at Americas Tire was able to source a Pilot 4s and get it delivered in a reasonable time whereas Tire Rack was expecting a 1/04/22 arrival date. Replaced tire pretty fast and right before closing, was in and out within 30ish minutes. Would definitely consider using AT again if needing work done on my car.

Have never had bad service here or at any Discount Tire in the many years I have done business with them, but unfortunately that wasnt the case today. I have noticed that this year I am getting bad service in places where it didnt exist before. I just went in to see about getting my tires rotated and balanced. Since it was busy I asked the guy outside if I would be OK too wait. He just told me that it was up to me. That is not the answer a tire shop should give you. The entire time I was trying to talk to him, another customer that was hanging near him was just standing there staring at me. So, I said nevermind and walked away. The worker didnt say anything, like he didnt care that a customer just walked away. Not only that, but my tire business is no concern of other customers. I should not have to worry about another customer just standing there staring me like I am some kinda weidro. If he was waiting behind like normal that would be Ok. That way I could keep the conversation between myself and the business. In the future I will gladly take my business to a different Discount Tire/Americas Tire

Comment: This review is for 2 separate visits to this location. I bought a pair of tires back in December and was thrilled with the service I was given, price was a bit high after I got the warranty and what not but nothing to really complain about, theyre good tires so far. They had my car ready with the fresh pair of tires within 45 minutes. Couldnt be happier. Now, a few days ago one of the new tires I got was completely flat with my car in my driveway due to a huge screw that I ran over. So I take the tire off and take it to them to repair the flat. Simple task, repair this flat tire and its done. No taking it off the car and putting back on. Figured it would be quick, go to Costco to get a few things, wait for the text saying the tire is ready. 1 1/2 hours later no text. I head over and it had been about 1 hour 45 minutes since I dropped it off. The guy that had helped me when I dropped off the tire was busy with another customer and asked if I received the text. I said no and he said he would check on it shortly. I sit down at the viewing window into the shop and see my flat tire sitting on the floor exactly where he left it when I dropped it off. Sat there and waited until he finally got to it and they had it repaired within another 10 minutes or so. In total it took a little longer than 2 hours and no one said sorry for the wait or anything. This sucks because Ive had such good service at discount/americas tires and so far this location is 1 for 2 with me. If you come here just double check their work after theyre finished such as make sure they put your center cap back on your rim and make sure they get to your repair and dont forget about it.

What?!).I received the most thorough, courteous, kind, compassionate service I have had in a long long time.I worked with Michael for my vehicle, he was extremely thorough and kind.When difficulty struck with one of my tires, Michael went into action trying to make sure I got the best service at the best pricing - then we realized that the tires on my van were ALL rated too low for the vans weight, and not only that - they were different sizes in the front and the rear! I had selected my tires online and they were in stock. At 300 when my vehicle was still in the parking lot I had to find an employee to ask for an update. Turns out they were having trouble finding my tires on the warehouse. Finally by 315 they had it figured out and I was done by 330. I asked them to please keep customers updated on things like that rather than keeping them guessing as to what is going on.

Today I discovered that when they replaced my $140 Yokohama tire several months ago on road hazard warranty they used a 7 year old, used, Filken tire. This is my sons car and I noticed that the sidewall was cracked all the way around when I was showing him how to check his tires before a road trip. The store swears they would never do that especially because its illegal but apparently the moron replacing the tire didnt care. Their records show installing a Yokohama tire but I KNOW it has only been touched by this store because I am the only 1 who takes our cars in for service.So, make sure that you have them show you that they put on your car what you actually paid for!This would be a 1 rating but the store doesnt deserve that. The moron who put my family in danger by deliberately using an unsafe tire needs to be tortured though.

Wait time was longer because store was busy on a Saturday, but as I watched and waited for my car, staff were literally running to get cars from the lot to the bay. Comment: I went in with a flat due to a nail, and from the gate their customer service was above and beyond! Ren was great! He explained how tire tread life works, how much mine had left and was very thorough about how my specific tires hold up. They were very busy, yet still got me in and out super quick. Every single person there was friendly and working very quickly to ensure customer satisfaction. They rotated and balanced my tires, and fixed the flat. When they sent me off, I asked how much I owed them and they said not a cent!!! Highly recommend them, and I will definitely will be revisiting them for all of my tire needs!!

Comment: Spent $1000 in tires and they didnt bother to spray the rims off? Tires are great, service was great, wheels were put back on the car looking more dirty. Took me 30 seconds to wipe them with a soapy rag and another 30 seconds to spray them with a hose. Just a little disappointed. Not a deal breaker, but greater attention to detail would likely make customers happier.

I like the guys that work there as I was in town with my Subaru Legacy and had a flat and rolled in there at closing time, they stayed and helped me put on my spare, now I was impressed! But the 4stars is because I had bought the $100 extra free tire replacement program and the tire that went flat was because of side wall damage so it wasnt fixable. I asked for my free tire and guess what!! Yes 1 free but because its 4wd they said they could only do it if I bought 3 new ones to replace the others so they were matching (my old set was like at 50%) so I would not recommend the free tire replacement because it looks like just a money game for them

Comment: Fabulous store! Its very clean and tidy. You wont find that grungy, sticky layer of automotive grease and tire dust that can usually be found at places like this.Amazing customer service! They went above and beyond to earn my business and totally succeeded. All in all theyve earned themselves a client for life. Ill never shop anywhere else. Comment: These guys work their butts off, its the holidays and these guys keep on trucking no breaks taken, if you see any bad reviews just know its subjective and everyone has an opinion, sometimes there is circumstances that delay things, thats life. Overall we had issues with the previous tires on the car and Eric made me a deal I couldnt refuse, even with a high volume of customers, they got us in and out in a decent amount of time. They might not be the best overall but they are certainly a very good tire company, that guarantee their work and are willing to go the distance for their customers. The morale seems high in low conditions, but just remember why your doing business with them, quality tires for your safety and comfort, not for your personal beck and call.

Comment: The entire crew in chico is incredible!!! They remember my name when I pull up and they take great care of their customers. I had to have a tire swapped out and they were swamped. I dropped my car off at 5:20. Their hours said they close at 6. I asked Micheal how will you guys get this done before you close and his response was we will just stay until we get it done the customer comes first. He told me to just leave it and they would call me when it was finished. Now that is customer service at its best. Thanks to Micheal, Jake, Wren and the whole crew.

Comment: A screw is in my Ford explorer tire! Had to be replaced under warranty I am glad I bought it at Americas tires! Thats awesome! Always helpful, friendly, professional, thorough and I mean super thorough! I will not drive out without their expertise blessing. Ive been using and buying from them for almost 10 years I always enjoy my time their acknowledging that I have a safe and reliable service, and SUV to drive. I used them for many reasons, one major one is that they are across the entire California region from Redding to los Angeles California. I recommend them highly also make an appointment at least one day ahead of time they can get real busy.

Comment: I went with the Yokohamas as suggested by the sale person. I am experiencing about 4-5 MPG less with the more expensive Yokohama tires on our Honda Odyssey van than we did with the stock tires.I was also disappointed today when I called ahead to make sure I could get tires rotated before a road trip over Thanksgiving. I was assured that they could get me in and out on the phone- ...come in anytime before 6pm. When I got there 20 minutes later it was an 1 1/2 hour wait. Really?

Comment: Have been going here for several years now and have never been disappointed. I use to only go to Les Schwab until I had an issue with some tires I had just purchased there. They refused to rebalance my tires after I complained of severe road vibrations. I went over to Americas tire and had them to take a look. Not only were the tires out of balance (no wheel weights were even attached), they found large chunks of plastic in between the tire and wheel that had been knocked in there by the previous tire buster while putting the tire on the wheel.Since then Ive returned to Americas tire for several vehicles. I work out of town and have sent my wife there a hand full of times while I was away. They always treat her well and have never tried to take advantage of her ignorance. I cant say that about several other businesses shes had to go to while I was away.Ill be buying tires again this week and theres no question where Ill be going.

Comment: I was nervous at first buying tires from anywhere but Les Schwab, but Nathan and his crew have bent over backwards everytime I have brought my car in.I even came in on two separate occasions thinking they had messed up my tire balance as I had a speed vibration. Nathan smiled and checked all my wheels and we found out the rims I had bought had a bent rim. Completely my fault, yet I didnt pay a dime.When I brought a replacement wheel I had bought online (wish I could have bought it from them) and brought it in to switch out again they took care of me without me having to ask.They could have easily bent me over for two tire balances and the balance on replacing the bent rim but instead made me a customer for life.Americas tire is proof that you can get tires at a good price and not sacrifice customer service. As someone who works in customer service it made all of the positives from Nathan and his crew that much better knowing how demanding some customers can be.Buy your tires from here if you want to be taken care of even after the sale.

Comment: America Tire is great. They provide fast friendly service with great prices. We there over the weekend looking for 4 new tires for a 1998 Toyota 4Runner. The size was 225/75-15. They were running a special that they paid the sales tax and provide free rotations every 5k miles. The tire came in at $350 out the door. I recommend going here if you need tires in Chico.
