A great place for dinner lunch or events. Our family uses them for events frequently and the staff and management are always extremely helpful. Staff and management always make sure that everything is done correctly and up to par with standards. The food is always great, have never had any issues at the restaurant.
Great food went their for celebration of life..chicken pacotta was great. On a second thought the prime rib sliced brought on nice plates arrived a little Luke warm. I realize their were 30 + guests however the timing on hot beef was questionable. This being my first time all in all staff was great mngr was great.I would go back. Thanks to all who worked very good .It made our time of loosing a loved one a very relaxing and comforting experience for all our souls. my uncle who passed always enjoyed the fine dining at your establishment. Thank you.
The food overall was very good. Would say that the filet mignon is very tender and flavorful. Was irritated that the host(manager?) who sat us decided to pick up and move my phone, without permission, to set down the menus. He apologized after I mentioned it, but still..
Worst experience ever had to get up and leave had reservations took 25 minutes to get our drinks and upon that told us he would be back in a moment to get our appetizer order 10 minutes later still nobody there 5 minutes after that we decided were not waiting any longer because I was served drinks and dirty glasses and the Pepsi had no syrup and our waiter was totally confused and not professional at all. So we got up and decided to pay for drinks and leave because after observing other people service we didnt want to be served at this restaurant. Especially knowing a dinner for four would be $300 not for this type of service
Came at 6p and not too busy to celebrate my birthday. Service started out well. Ordered appetizer which came out right on time. Soup came out about 15 min after we finished. Im very sensitive to being short staffed or slower service, but 15 min for something thats already prepared seems a bit much. The best way to describe the chicken brodo soup is an attempt to elevate chicken noodle with a cheese pasta. Entrees came out about 30 min after the soup: Best was the rainbow trout. Fish was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Straw Chicken pasta was average with mild flavor. Everything was cooked well (noodles al dente and chicken wasnt dry). The kids meat sauce pasta looked a little soupy but our 4 year old daughter enjoyed it, which is all that matters. Worst was my Beef Tip Linguine. The description says olive oil, but it was more like a ladle of thin broth was poured over top. There was absolutely no flavor in the broth. Im not an expert, but normally the pasta is the carrier of the sauce/flavor. The beef tips all had different temps from rare to well done. I wasnt asked how I wanted it, so I guess chef wanted to make sure there was at least one piece I enjoyed. The beef did have some good char flavor though. Ordered the kit kat dessert, which was very good.Ambiance seems a bit conflicted with a fine dining atmosphere with what I think was an easy listening radio station playing. I cant quite be sure, but I thought I heard commercials. It was partially drowned out by the live band playing (they sounded great!). I would think they would turn off the house music with a live band playing. Just makes for a headache with 2 songs playing simultaneously.Last to note: The server offered a juice or something as soon as we sat down for our daughter and she wanted an orange juice. Surprised that it was actually a sparkling orange juice. Our daughter didnt like it, but it made for a good screwdriver once I got home after a disappointing meal.Sorry to say we will not be returning.
The wine room is quiet and reserved, great for business or family events. Appetizers were all good (kudos to the the mushrooms, and the sausage, and the calamari was fine), pasta tasted fresh, seafood was not overcooked, and a medium rare ribeye was actually, you know, medium rare. Avoid the creme brulee (too thick, tasted eggy, and the top was almost burnt, almost bitter), but the other desserts were good.
Calamari and soup were excellent but the meal went downhill from there. I had the ribeye with the heirloom carrots, sweet potato, brussel sprouts and mushroom ragu. The ribeye and the ragu lacked seasoning. The carrots and sweet potatoes were the highlights of the dish. Not at all what I would expect from any Andiamo location. Very disappointed.
WOW. That’s all I can say. If you are black then this is not the place to go. I have never experienced racism not only from the workers ( including the general managers) but the diners as well !They REFUSED to seat me and my boyfriend after we literally just booked a reservation 15 minutes before. We got there took and waited a good 7 mins before anyone even approached us and he too one look at us and the first thing they ask “How’d you get in here ?” Then to proceed to say they are closed and no one could tell us who booked our reservation. They just wanted us to leave. It was a very unpleasant experience. And obviously they need new management!
Tried to come there at 945 on a Saturday called ahead and from John was told they were open till 11...apparently you have to be there before 945 to be let in...wish I would have been told that when I called at 845 when we left to come here. Anyways the food is always awesome!
Had a financial dinner so I didnt choose the meal, chicken marsala. It wasnt that good. Expected a better meal even though it was free.Well I got a response from this review to contact them. They wasted my time because I contacted them and never heard back. They probable just wanted people looking at my review that they were doing something. Unfortunately, they did nothing 😕.
Came here with my gf the day before Valentines day. Made reservations on open table and was seated when we walked in. The host took us to the back of the restaurant to the far corner that had very little light next to the exit door. ( They need to increase the lighting along the connected booth area) small track lighting is not enough. We asked for a booth and they cleaned one off for us which was great. Jason was our server and was great, he made good recommendations and knew the menu which is a plus. My gf is vegan and they have 3 vegan options plus an app salad. The vegan gnocchi is huge and delicious and my girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed it. I went with the lasagna, and was thoroughly disappointed. What I received was the size of a deck of cards even though it was hyped to be 14 layers. And it was burned on the bottom. Jason quickly asked if I wanted another or something different, that was service to me. I did chose another option. My next pasta was decent but on the oily side. It was the egg and spinach pasta with white wine cream and prosciutto. The experience was good but the food could have been better. The card sized lasagna for $18 is definitely not worth it.
Regarding banquets and special events: We had our baby shower at Andiamo Livonia and it was a very mixed bag.First, the banquet manager was 40 minutes late, didn’t answer any of the text or calls from the 6 people waiting at the time he himself specifically set with them.Well, this couldn’t have started my day off worse as my 7 months pregnant wife was EXTREMELY panic’d that her mother and friends all tell her they can’t get in. I tried to calm her but being 7 months pregnant I think that’s explanation enough. So I’m not even there yet and things are going wrong. About halfway to the venue we get confirmation banquette manager arrived and with plenty of excuses in tow.He also seemed hungover and a bit in over his head.I get in, look around and notice a giant silver bucket near the head table... the roof was leaking so we literally had a drip bucket next to our table. We had to use a booth... we found dirty silverware in that booth from the night before. I put them in the drip bucket and no one noticed. Fun stuff. No music so it was awkwardly quiet for a good portion of the time until crowd noise took over. After about an hour after guests arrived I noticed there seemed to be significantly more staff and things started going much smoother. This was when things started going much smoother. The food came out which was tasty. They fed us, the couple of the event, first which was a nice touch.Things were nice from here on out.Shoutout to Jazmyn and the other girls who were great.I work in reality tv, mainly on Food Network shows (Chopped, Beat Bobby Flay) and I’ve worked with hundreds of chefs across the country. They all have one thing in common- their goal is to make guests feel taken care of, we certainly didn’t feel that way the majority of the event. Towards the end it was much better than the start.Regarding banquet I give a generous three stars because ultimately the food was good and the servers were very nice and accommodating. Management just seemed very overwhelmed and made excuses (I don’t care you drove from Warren, Bro)So take that for what it’s worth.Edit- the owner responded as you see below, the email got bounced back when sent to the address provided so clearly this is the level of detail Andiamo pays attention to.
Stopped in for a quiet anniversary lunch with my husband today. The asparagus ravioli is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Definitely one of the most flavorful and satisfying dishes Ive ever enjoyed. There are so many flavors and textures working in perfect harmony -- so much fun! Try it!
We had a luncheon at Andiamo Livonia. We were greeted at the door, welcomed and directed to the room. The tables were set with white linens and napkins. A well appointed table. Coffee was ready and we had waitstaff waiting to take drink orders. They both were very professional, helpful and smiling making us feel welcomed. We had salad, chicken picciata, slice sirloin and dont forget dessert. I recommend the pastry tray. They were beautifully presented. They were scrumptious. The cookies were delicious. The house salad dressing was a surprising high note. Everyone loved it. The restaurant is classic. If you are looking for a place for dinner with a wonderful experience take advantage of Andiamo Livonia. Enjoy ❤
I would definitely recommend this location to friends, family and visitors. Its a nice upscale restaurant perfect for celebrations or date night! The food is absolutely amazing, the staff is friendly and professional and very welcoming. I ordered the calamari I would highly suggest it Ive been to a lot of restaurants and I can honestly say that was the best calamari that Ive tasted in a very long time. You wont be disappointed with this location!
Five stars because it tastes great. Picked up my holiday turkey package. Left no gratuity until I checked if everything was there. The last few months have been having things left out of my take out lunches. Had a $20.00 in my pocket for gratuity AFTER I CHECKED my box. Guy rudely yells to me with people around thanks for no gratuity my staff really appreciates it. After that rude outburst I drove home with my $20.00.
Got seated quickly at 6:30. I was by myself. Ordered Ceasars salad and spaghetti with sausage. Took 35 min for salad, forgot my bread. Took 50 more min to get my spaghetti. They said kitchen was behind. I sat by myself for basically 2 hours starting out the window waiting for dinner. Left at 8:40 pm. Not impressed. Salad and food were good. I felt like I was forgotten for the 2 hours on a Monday night. Service was below average for a fine restaurant.
Had dinner last night it was my first time at a Andiamo. Great time food was really good. Relaxing time music was just right not to loud. When I went to Italy last year I had buffalo caprese and I was told you cant get that quality anywhere else. Well you can Andiamo has is imported in and its just as good. It might not be as fresh but its real close. Bread and oil was delish. Salad fresh just right ranch dressing fabulous. Their house dressing is good also had that as well. New York strip was medium cooked to perfection. I finished off dinner with a top hat dessert and coffee. My wife had the carrot cake. First class restaurants. We will definitely be returning.
Great food, great Ambiance even with covid protocols in place. Our server was Austin, and he was terrific. Friendly without being cloying or condescending, which can be a problem when you are two elderly ladies out for a nice dinner. Sometimes restaurants treat us like we are merely tolerated simply because we are not spring chickens. We did not have that problem at all! Good wine list, great choices on the menu. I had the scallops, and they were excellent.
We have been to Andiamos a number of times; the one in Livonia is my personal favorite. It is much more welcoming and warm/friendly than the one in Dearborn. This last time, we had the New York strip steak and it was prepared quite well. Our server was quite professional and helpful which made the dining experience pleasant. My only complaint is concerned with the coffee. It was painfully ordinary, and in a place like Andiamos, it should be much better. For $7.00 (2 coffees) it should have been prepared differently, perhaps in a French Press, instead of a large pot kept warm for hours on end. It also tasted watered down, and not bold enough. Again, a restaurant like Andiamos deserves quality coffee.
Absolutely amazing food and service. Nice relaxed atmosphere and we never felt rushed. Our server Charlie was fantastic! We had the ribeye steak, chicken parmigiana along with the chicken Alfredo. All of it was awesome, along with the appetizers and desserts. Thanks again Andiamo!
The waitress was nice but the food was nasty and cold. The fettuccine was so cold and the noodles weren’t fully cooked . Disappointed for a high end restaurant. I asked for a medium steak and it turned to be extremely well done. Thought I was eating a rock. Chicken Marsala was so soggy and cold . Very disappointed. Only good thing was the free bread they give and the calamari and there chocolate cake
Very nice staff, lots of parking, excellent atmosphere. pasta bolanase serving size was very small, 1/2 the size of andiamo on telegraph road. lacking in taste as well. the 4 shrimp that I added were large and very good. they should be for $5 each!. the ceasar salad was just ok... the $11 pomagrant martini was great. the five people i was with said their dinner was good. not great or bad... we will go the Bloomfield hills andiamo next time
Took my son there on a Friday night had excellent service and delicious food. Was somewhat confused when I went to the restroom needs some updating broken paper towel dispenser and soap dispenser could be cleaner definitely not the standards I expected for a fancy restaurant. But in all would definitely go back for food.
We happened to stop in there again since now are incompetent governor has allowed us to 50% capacity. As always Andiamos food was excellent. The waitress was good the hostess was good great experience. However I feel bad that the staff has to work in this environment with masks on and feel they deserve a little extra credit having to deal with this. Nice job
Second time I’ve been here and ehhh, save your money. The first time I had the beef tip pasta and the second time I had the chicken alfredo. Both meats were highly under-seasoned so it just tasted super gamey so I ended up just throwing it away… And the chicken wasn’t even presented well, it was just hunks of meat thrown into the pasta. Super overpriced and overrated IMHO.
Our food was amazing and Jen, our server was great! I got the lentil cakes. From the fist bite, it reminded me of eggplant parmesan! Vegans, run dont walk. And for dessert 2 flavors of of sorbet! Its quite pricey but worth it! Maybe go for an occasion! Sorry no pics because I couldnt sop eating! My my omni girlfriend enjoyed her meal just as I did.
Initially my boyfriend and I were really disappointed because it took about 15 minutes for them to start waiting on us at our table. We both were saying how it really wasnt that busy yet and it was offputting for a restaurant of this caliber to have customers waiting like that. When our waitress did come over she ended up being really accommodating. I ordered a cocktail and it seemed too strong. I started to say something but the subject got changed. The portions werent really generous but the food we did order was made properly. We had dined here 3 or 4 times before and when it was all said and done my boyfriend commented that he would be happier if we went to Rockys next time.
Me and my husband had dinner here last night and I must say I was very disappointed. Most restaurants we go to don’t mind giving my husband his bottle beer with the top on so he can remove the top himself. The waiter told him they could not do that. My husband asked why and the waiter was honest and said” he never saw it done since he has been employed “. My husband asked if the manager can come to the table and he will explain why he prefer to leave the top on his beer.Well not only did the manager not come to our table he made the waiter tell my husband “he will not come to our table and he do not want to pay for other customer dry cleaning”. WHAT? as if my husband was going to spurt beer suds on other customers. Wow what a rude presumption to make!My husband always felt comfortable removing the beer cap. The manager greeted most of the other customers “ asking how was their meal” and he blatantly skipped out table all together. Our waiter was awesome but the manager was a coward and rude. We will never go back to that restaurant. For the manager if you want to be a leader and promote professionalism. Do not put your workers on the front line when an uncomfortable issue arrives. Remember the customer satisfaction is very important and you must interact with all customers and their request. Very disappointed that we were ignored and not treated like customers. Definitely will not patronize this restaurant again.
I have been here three times. Not once did I have a good meal. Ordered a steak that came back overcooked and when I asked them to make me a new steak they were pretty reluctant about wanting to make their customer happy. In my opinion they are overpriced for what they serve. There are way too many other restaurants that deserve your business then this place. The owner doesnt care about his employees or his customers considering hes telling everybody to revoke against the restaurant shut down. They can still take orders for carryout. Thats not good enough for him. Its pretty bad when the owner would put peoples well-being behind making a buck.
An excellent restaurant. The food is amazing. The staff is very professional and polite.Had dinner there with a friend. Ismin was our server. She did a great job. Very friendly and attentive. She checked on us every few minutes.Took our drinks order within a few minutes after we got seated. Then took our dinner order and served it with a smile. The food was very tasty and made exactly as we like it.Highly recommended. I definitely will be back often.
It was my first time at this Location . There were five of us that went as a family after a graduation ceremony. Well everything was great the service , drinks , appetizers The only reason I am giving 3 stars , is because my order was Beef tip linguine or Linguine with carne di manzo that is suppose to be the most tender of the meats , well it was not , it was rough to chew and perhaps a bit undercooked . I was embarrase to tell the waiter , I did ate the meat with extra chewing and also I passed couple pieces to other people at the table and they experience the same . I loved the pasta , too bad I could not enjoy the meat as well. Next time if it happens I will tell the waiter or manager .
We tried to order a large carry out order the other night. A few different appetizers, a few main courses along with there cider cocktail Togo. They informed my wife they did not have any cider to complete the order which is completely understandable. She informed that we would pass on the drinks. They then completed our order asked for payment which was in the range of $100. We had a $50 gift card and the rest was going to be put on our credit card. Yet he declined to except gift cards and informed her that currently they are not excepting them! How can you sale gift cards and not accept them at your establishment...:: this use to be one of our favorite places to go, but after this experience I am done with them. We canceled our order due to this! Stay away!
I made an order online only to get a call from an employee at Andiamos that they were out of the food that I already placed my order for online. And the employee told me that he didn’t know how to give me refund. It has been 3 days and I still have NOT received a refund! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
My family and I went to Andiamo Livonia for my daughters Birthday and we had the most wonderful time. The server Chris was so knowledgeable and really went out of his way to make our experience outstanding. The food was excellent. The manager Jason was very friendly and came over to our table several times to make sure everyone was happy. We will definitely be back.
We had charlie for dinner tonight:) he was awesome. Great waiter:) we will be back and requesting him from now on! We had the chicken Alfredo and the veal and it was great:) overall a great a time, but mostly because of Charlie:) also I had the orange cremsicle cocktail: it was the best drink I have ever had!
Had lunch with my neighbors today and we all agreed our meals were delicious. I had chicken Marsala, served with vegetables and pasta and carrot cake for dessert. Everything was perfect. Our server was great, just the right amount of attentiveness. Highly recommend. (I meant to take pictures but my friends kept me laughing too much and I forgot). Maybe next time!
Second visit to this location, first time out since restrictions went into place for covid (review late June 2020).Our waitress Alyssa was OUTSTANDING. Super helpful, and kind, very attentive and everything came out just so. I got the NY strip and it was one of the most flavorful steaks I have had the pleasure of eating. In terms of how they handled being responsible in handling covid, couldnt ask for more. They take your temp at the door and request all guests wear masks when coming and going, and also when getting up from your table. All staff has masks and gloves. I noticed that they changed table cloths and fully wiped down tables and chairs between guests. We dont planning on going out much during the pandemic, but when we do, this is the sort of responsibility we expect.I would recommend this restaurant to my friends and family for sure!
I ordered food to a nearby hotel, and one of the main meals from the order was missing. I called about this, and I felt as if I was calling a fast food restaurant about an order. The woman who answered was clearly disorganized, and proceeded to raise her voice at me as the conversation proceeded; I was rudely hung up on after inquiring about what happened and if I would be receive my food. You would expect more from such a high-end restaurant.A separate time, my significant other and I were completely ignored after arriving to dine in. It wasn’t until 30 minutes later that we were even greeted by a server after I had to run around searching for someone to help us.The food is delicious. But the service has clearly declined over the years that I’ve dealt with this restaurant.
Great place for dinner! The decor and the dining experience are superb and the menu is always delicious. Highly recommend the veal. Chrissy, our waiter was on top of her game with great recommendations and service. Maybe this Andiamo location will replace the riverfront as our favorite.
There was a singer on the night we went which was very entertaining. There was a 30 min wait for our table (no reservation). The food was good but there was a long wait for everything (appetizers, main course, drinks, bill). By the time we left there were few people in the restaurant. We also had issues with dirty glass at our table and from the bar. Our waiter was good.
We went to Andiamo in Livonia for dinner tonight with the family. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and it was fantastic. Everybody’s food came out tasting amazing. Chris our server was outstanding, very good at his job and the rest of the staff was very polite. The GM Jason was very professional and kind. Highly recommend!
We ordered well over 100.00 of food here tonight. Given the pandemic, we are trying to help businesses out. Anyhow, ordered numerous dinners and didnt get the side that should have come with them. One order was missing the second meatball, another order that should have had 2 meatballs had sausage instead. The highlight of this visit was when the manager came out to the car to yell at me. I know, makes you want to jump in your car and get over there, right??? When I called, I asked about dessert because it wasnt on the take away menu. I was told the tiramisu would be 4.00, so I ordered several. I calculate the bill and when I arrive, its 20.00 dollars than expected. When I look over the bill, I see the problem and tell them the error. The manager comes storming out to my car, screaming at me that he was right there when I was told the price. Really??? If so, youd know I was told 4.00. But no worries, we have LOTS of choices where we can spend our money. I dont need to be screamed at when we are helping YOU STAY IN BUSINESS. With your attitude, good luck with that.
Our waitress was so pleasant, helpful & efficient. Im sorry I dont remember her name (at my age sometime I dont remember what I had for breakfast) LOLThe lamb shanks were delicious. I really enjoyed the veggie melody it came with. Not really crazy about beans but thanks anyway. We will be back.
Excellent service from our waiter, Tim! Very friendly. On the other hand our chicken came to the table very undercooked and we were asked if we would like something different. My husband choose to just order the appetizer that we really enjoyed, the rice suppli, again, instead of another dinner option, considering I was halfway finished with my dinner. When brought the bill we were charged for his suppli and his replacement dinner and told they would not remove his dish from our bill. Excuse me? Terrible service from management at this location. We also excused ourselves from our table for a smoke break with our server and when we returned to enjoy our entrees which we still had not received they were clearing out table even though my purse and his phone were still present at the table. We were not even offered a dessert for their mistake. Thank you Tim for your great service. But we will not be back to to this location again.
We live in Livonia and love Andiamo. However, on Easter we ordered carryout. I arrived in the parking lot at 5:53 with a pick up time of 6:13. The parking lot was very busy as expected and I was very patient. I ended up waiting until 6:25 for my order. No problem, I get it, Ive working in the industry in the past. When my husband opended the bag containing our order we were displeased. The containers were packed sub par. My kids down right refused to eat their fettuccine Alfredo. This is a regular order from my kids, I was shocked at their behavior. I tried it, the noodled were over cooked, and the alfredo sauce was watery, it had very little taste. I ended up throwing it away in the garbage. My husband had ordered Chicken Parmesan. The noodles were dried out and really there wasnt many noodles to speak of in the box. I tried to call immediately. Upon calling it was obvious the phone receiver had been picked up... and then there was no one on the other end. I allowed a few minutes to pass and tried calling back again. No answer. The next day I tried to call back and no one answered at all. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I still have the receipt and at least I would appreciate them correcting this situation by replacing our order with edible food.
Our server was very attentive and upbeat. My Chicken Marsala was excellent and my husbands steak was done exactly like he wanted it. We were celebrating our anniversary and they surprised us with Happy Anniversary written on the plate they brought our dessert out on. Very good experience.
I stopped in for the 12 oz center-cut aged strip. The steak was not well trimmed or well seasoned. While it was cooked to order, I dont even feel it was worth the special price. The pasta here is ok. The steak is over priced even if on special. Id recommend you go somewhere else for your special night out.
Fair. The Olive Garden has fresher food. Salmon over seasoned. Had a 10:30 P.M. Reservation. Arrived at 10:40 P.M. Was told immediately upon arriving that they close at 11:00 P.M. Was still seated no problem. Waiter came to our table and before saying hello or asking what we would like to drink repeated again that they close at 11:00 P.M. Kidding with Waiter. I replied Oh you must have a Hot Date. Obviously my comment didnt go over well. The Waiter begrudgingly asked what would you like to drink. The entire ordering process and meal were the same. No smile. Just hurry, hurry, hurry. The salad had bad pieces of Lettuce in it. The entire meal including desert took 50 Minutes! This Establishment states they close at 11:00 P.M. Got the impression the entire staff expects to walk out the door at 11:00 P.M.
We hosted a Saturday lunch event here with about 80 people and had an excellent experience, especially considering it was pulled together with about 3 days notice and they opened the restaurant early specifically for us. We had the entire restaurant for our group which created a nice open feel for the event; it was much preferred over being in a banquet hall. The food and service were great. We worked with Craig to figure out the specifics on the menu and setup - to say he was accommodating would be an understatement. He was sensitive to what our needs were for setup and even purchased an audio system for us to use for the event. We received a lot of compliments from our guests on the food and the venue. Highly recommend this restaurant!
I have been twice, and both times I walked in and was seated right away. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and attentive. The portobello mushroom appetizer with zip sauce was outstanding, one of the reasons I wanted to go back. The steak dinner was just as amazing if not more so, tender and full of amazing flavor. I will definitely be going back.
We had a team outing and it was okay overall. The quantity is large, but quality doesnt match the price. Staff is very accommodating for sure. Our calamari sauce was really really salty, and the manager personally apologized and remedied the problem quickly. My rating is: meh. Nothing particularly bad, but nothing over the top either.
First and last visit! The food was fabulous, although our server, Ismin made sure that we will NEVER return!1. She was in too much of a hurry to take our order. I even had to ask if we could get drinks as she did not offer, nor ask if we wanted any. When I asked if we could get drinks.. her reply was, If youre thirsty.2. My boyfriend had to light the candle at our table, as she hadnt returned to do so, as she stated she would.3. We wanted to order cappuccinos and dessert after our meal.. Ismin seemed way too occupied with the elderly locals sitting at the table next to us discussing the marital affairs of other employees! I was horrified! (I also want to add that this table had their own server.)4. We arrived and were seated by 7.15pm.. Our appetizer and entree served.. We left at 9pm, after giving up on our coffee and dessert! The restaurant wasnt busy at all from about 7.45pm.Again, I would like to stress that the food was FABULOUS! Unfortunately, this server lost, what would have been, FREQUENT Patrons!!!Best wishes to the Chef and other employees.
Service was good, but the food was terrible. I ordered the chicken with eggplant and prosciutto. Chicken was dry, eggplant was incredibly greasy and tough. The whole thing was so salty and greasy that i couldnt finish it. The pasta on the side was overcooked and bland. My wife ordered the lobster ravioli and did not like it. There was no sauce the dish was very salty. Definitely wont be coming back.
While Ive been to the Detroit location 4-5 times, this was the first time visiting this location. I went there specifically for the grab and go dinner option and it exceeded my expectations! Of the 3 choicesavailable, I ordered the chicken parmesan menu option. Upon pick-up, I was surprised to see how much food was included. I actually asked if it was a mistake. It was a notably large amount for the very reasonable 55.00 price for 4 people... It fed my family for dinner and multiple lunches. Aside from a great price point, the food was absolutely perfect. The chicken was honestly amazing - some of the best parmesan chicken, Ive ever had. This was notable given it was a standardized carry out and not an individually prepared order... I shouldnt have been surprised given this was Andiamo, honestly, knowing their reputation for taste and quality! I should also note I had a 35 mile drive home and everything arrived home at the correct temperature and perfectly packaged. I highly reccommend!
I have dined here several times about 5 to be specific. Service has always been satisfactory (no major mishaps- but nothing to write home about) the pacing of courses is a bit more relaxed and you have time to enjoy and savor each. The menu is a bit limited but does have some standard options for the pickier diners. Steak is good - not phenomenal. Chicken dishes in my experience have been good.Minestrone - house salad and flavorful, I liked the bread and dipping oil. However that being said I have consistently had vegetables cooked poorly. This is a place I normally go with family, and I do have many around me but chose to go else where when I do have a choice.
I had a wonderful dinner last night with my wife. Everyone there made us feel welcome and special. Half off wine on Wednesdays was also very nice. The steak was exceptional and deserts were phenominal! We were there for almost 2 hours (our choice) and were treated like special guests the entire time. Wonderful experience.
My first experience here wasnt the best but the second time really made up for it. My server Alyssa G was the best! She was able to answer all my questions, gave great suggestions and even paired my wine with my dinner. I ordered a filet and it was cooked perfect with that yummy zip sauce . would definitely come back for a 3rd time!
We love Andiamos! The service is always impeccable and weve never been disappointed with any of their wide selection of meals. They recently offered an endless pasta special. My 17 year old son couldnt even finish the initial serving, it was so large! Try to save room for dessert, they are always rich & yummy!
Heard you on mojo in the morning, Ive been to several of your restaurants, all were very nice. Im very disappointed that you feel that the service industries pain is any different then other business. I also am a small business owner and have had to shut down, because its about PEOPLES HEALTH not your BOTTOM LINE $$$. Stop stirring the pot and do what we all have to do to be able to finally get back to normal. Im informing all my costumers, family, friends, Gov office and local authorities of places not following covid restrictions. Its not.worth losing your liquar licenses.
Excellent food, which is obviously you expect from the price. I heavily recommend any dish that includes mushrooms, they were smoky great. Even with a Party of 9 they were able to accept a reservation, and the waitresses and waiter did an amazing job getting their job done even with such a large party.
My parents came into town this weekend to help me pack. They wanted to go to their old favorite restaurant while in town. Andiamo Livonia. We went on Saturday for dinner. They were really happy with their meal and said it was even better than they remember. Even during these tough times, Andiamo Livonia still pulls it off. Thanks for a great dinner and experience!
I went here for a free lunch lecture on stem cell regenerative treatments. We had our own private room which was nice and a good feature of this restaurant. We had a limited choice so I cant comment about the full menu but it looked very good and the food that we got , which I had a Traverse City salad , which was basically a salad with some chicken and what made it nice was it had cranberries and candied walnuts in IT. Service was good. The price was right- I didnt pay anything.
This is a lush, higher end chain. I was a business guest, so price was no object. We got meats and cheeses for appetizers. These were good. Others had fried calamari and seemed happy. I had filet. Dinners come with salad and small pasta plate. These were ok. The filet was good, though a bit overdone. They only serve medium. Would have preferred rare. Overall cool place, but food could be better.
The food was good but the Service was horrible. I have Been wanting to come here for a while but due to circumstances beyond our control every time by fiancé and I tried to come something came up. I looked on the website and noticed they did all you can eat pasta on Monday’s and kids eat free. So we decided to come and bring our children aged 11 and 12 who were well behaved. We felt like the minute we got there we were completely written off by the staff as people who couldn’t afford to dine their. We both make very good money and love to go out to eat several times a week in fact. It took over 20 mins before we even got a menu and another 10 before the server came over and asked for drinks we each ordered a glass of wine and the kids pop. Another 10 mins later he told us they have no kids menu and could do a pasta kids version. If they don’t want kids that’s fine however don’t promote it on your website. Other tables were told all the specials going on while we were completely ignored. It took well over an hour for our food and our waiter nick was very rude and disingenuous. I love going to nice high end restaurants but this is exactly why my finance hates it. We had taken a brochure on our way in about carry out for families which we intended to do but not after this I will take my money somewhere we’re i am appreciated. The food was decent but. Nothing to rave about for the price and service. I would much rather go to Gratzi in Ann Arbor.
My wife and I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Andiamo Livonia! We made reservations on my phone to have our anniversary lunch, and I didnt realize there was any issue until Google Maps told me that we would arrive before the restaurant opened (we made our reservation for 1:00, and they didnt open until 4:00).When we arrived the hostess said that they really werent open to the public, but since they had a shower going on in the large banquet room they were happy to accommodate us. We had the whole dining area to ourselves, so it was like our own private, special lunch date. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the staff was wonderful to us!
Decided to take the whole family out for Easter Brunch this year. Arrived to find we are being seated (6 adults which include 3 large men 3 women and additional high chair for a baby) at a small round table big enough for 4 possibly. I asked about moving to a larger table and was told they are all reserved for other reservation groups. I wasnt pleased but tried to make the best of it without causing an issue on Easter.Next issue came when we went to the buffet. The pesentation of the dishes was very nice and we did find several salads that were good along with a delightful cheese blintz with a fruit sauce. The sausage and bacon were undercooked. The chicken/olive dish (cant remember the name) was very dry and overcooked and the only other italian type dish on the buffet, a pasta with red sauce had no spice or flavor & was so over overcooked the noodles fell apart when trying to serve it.I must say that for the price charged per person, I was very disappointed and will not make that mistake again.
7/20/18 visited the Livonia location for our 12th wedding anniversary. Ian our server was a great server. Genuine, easy to talk to. Dan the Manager was amazing as well and replaced our dishes very kindly, took off our bill and we appreciated that. He wasn’t mad, but felt bad and tried to make us happy. The service was on point. Drinks and soup were really good, but the entree was unfortunately the worst meal We’ve had. The Whitefish tasted burnt or bitter, just not good and very greasy. My husbands clam pasta was even worse. Not sure if the main cooks were on vacation, I would have to assume so, that could not have been the main or head cook there last night? No way. We were really disappointed. The table was disgustingly sticky, the chairs in the booths were so low that our backs hurt afterwards. The food was way over priced for the quality we received. I think the owner needs to send in a secret shopper on a busy night to review the quality of food. Honest opinion. Also, the music playing (very loudly), was fit for a club. Not a place that serves plates no less than $20. It was club music, very bizarre to listen to while dining on a Friday night from 7-9. Couldn’t hear each other talk. I wish I could remember the song so you can have an idea of what was playing. It wasnt right. It’s almost as if “mom and dad” were out of town and someone decided to be sneaky and break the rules and play whatever they wanted.
Went for the Easter Sunday brunch. Was very busy, and was a complete bust. Id say it was nothing more than a brunch at any 3 star hotel. Pricing was outrageous. We tipped the skills at 500 for our party and everyone was disappointed. Unfortunate too because dinner service isnt too bad.
Horrible experience...I was expecting it to be good based on the other reviews I had seen. My friends and I waited for 1 hour after we had ordered to receive our food. By that time we were starving. And when we finally were able to eat the food, it was mediocre at best. My friend got the ravioli and when I asked him how it was he said it was the worst ravioli he had ever eaten. I ordered the chicken marsala and it was disappointing. We all got small portions considering what we paid for it. The atmosphere is nice but other than that the food is not good and overpriced and the service is bad. We will not be going back to eat at Andiamos.
Their Mothers day buffet left something to be desired. The food quality was that of a budget buffet restaurant. Also the selections were poor for a $30 price tag. The omelets were the best thing going. Ive never eaten off of the regular menu, but Ill NEVER eat there for Mothers day again.
Public service announcement for any of my friends that have heeded my advice on purchasing Andiamo gift cards from Costco for the use of picking up a great family takeout meal.Tonight we had an unfortunate interaction with Jason, the manager at the Livonia location that refused to take the gift card as payment, claiming the Grab and Go family meal was a promotion and therefore not valid on our purchase. I’m not so made about the policy change, but mostly around the lack of communication and respect we received during our interaction. I got a lecture about double dipping on discounts and about the Andiamo margins!First and foremost, treat your customers with respect. Second, maybe cut back on the $20 cardboard box you now send home with this meal.Never again. I’m done with the restaurant and am going to return my remaining gift card to Costco tomorrow.
Excellent experience, service was amazing! Craig Bowen, gerneral Manager was very friendly and inviting. The waitress was excellent, she knew everything on the menu and was very pleasant. Food for f course was great. We havent been to this location before, but we will definitely be back. Thanks for the great service.
Marshall was my event coordinator and he was PHENOMENAL! He helped me plan my husband’s surprise 50th birthday party and went above and beyond to make sure all accommodations were met. Arber was our waiter, he gave us exceptional service, was patient and overall great customer service. Thank you both for everything! I highly recommended using Andiamo for any of your events!
Met the in-laws for Christmas dinner. Very attractive place, excellent wait staff. In-laws mentioned the menu was totally different than the Bloomfield Andiamos. One drink sent back because it was too sweet (no, I dont know what it was), another commented the after dinner espresso martini was too sweet as well. I had the Chicken Valdostana which was very good ($18.95). Wife not at all impressed with the NY Strip at $32.95.
Th food was so bad,we waited almost 1 hower for someone to take our order and another hower to bring our order. After we eat we were looking for our waitress to get our bill and it was nowhere to be found.Manager came to us,we explained the situation and he didnt apologized at all.Its like I throw my money
We came in to celebrate Fathers day with a reservation. We were there and seated on time but once we sat, we sat for 30 minutes with no service. We the asked someone walking by who would be our server for the evening. She said she would find out. We then listened to 3 servers standing around arguing about who would serves us. We waited a little longer, still not even bread had be served. We just left. I will never be back.
This was my first time at any Andiamo establishment and I have to say it did not disappoint. We celebrated my sons 16th birthday. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu options. Everyone in the party was satisfied with their entree choice and even had enough to be boxed up to carry home. Portion size: very good, ambiance was very nice. I will definitely attend this and other Andiamo locations in the future. Oh by the way we had the chicken fettuccine alfredo, chicken marsala, seafood medley and pasta(not the name on menu), pasta with little neck clams with white wine sauce and chicken parmesan (not pictured).
Unfortunately had a bad experience for Mother’s Day brunch price was over $32 per plate we had 17 people from eating here on a regular basis have had pretty good service and food quality. But Mother’s Day was a whole different ballgame to see my mom eating food that wasn’t up to her standards Kinda let me down. Hopefully they can get this fixed.
Food was great! However, for large banquets with a timed agenda, awards, and public speaker who was projecting slides it was not a good fit. The room was divided and people in the second room could not hear well. The dinner came out really late so the speaker had to start and talk over the dinner service.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Andiamo Livonia recently. Food was great, service was excellent. We had booked their beautiful wine room for a private celebration and everything was top notch. Special thanks to Tristan who took great care of us that evening and made all the youngsters in our group feel especially welcome!
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very posh. It was very expensive but you got what you paid for. My girlfriend and I went for Valentines Day lunch and had a great time. The staff treated us very well considering we were only 30 years old and one of the youngest couples there.
Saturday night 2.24.18. Went here for bday dinner. Limited menu. Had lobster special $29.99 and duck risotto $29.99.... edible at best, potatoes were hard, not baked through, mixed veges were tepid. No bread, grated parmesan nor ground pepper was offered. Service was lackluster. Drinks extremely overpriced and boring. Also waited a long time to get a drink. Only highlight was chocolate cake. I would suggest closing the restaurant and selling the cake online.
We had dinner unexpectedly today with the BOGO offer. Nice change midweek. We were seated in the bar area close to 4:09.The skinny, blond waitress that brought us our water was snippy and unwelcoming. I am under the impression she was inconvenienced with having to help in bar area, as I never seen her again during this visit.TIP: In the service industry, your snarky attitude will not serve the public, find another career. Hopefully just a bad dayBecky P. was our actual server, delightful and efficient. Asset to the restaurant.Suggestion to remove T.Vs in bar area. Distracting and takes away from building relationships in nice setting and the lost art of human conversation.Overall good visit, delish food and enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
Dark wood atmosphere with upscale table service. A slow leasurely meal.bread had the right texture for dipping into herbed olive oil. Cesaer salad was fresh with a delightful dressing. Hubbys large serving of lasagne had a flavorful sauce with lots of cheese. A bit salty for our taste. Pasta with pesto basil cream sauce was a winner with a nice blend of flavors. The veal, beef meatballs were the perfect topping with good spicing and texture.
This is not my favorite location..I have high expectations- in general i think since Andiamo expanded the quality has gone down. The last the 2 times (in 18 mo or so) it just seems the staff isnt as competent. I will say The zip sauce and kit kat bars usually make up for everything lacking.Valentines day 2018 my sister was dining in- she had a kind, but terrible server. Very slow. . didnt bother to refil waters or sodas. He Didnt do food checks- he put her dressing on her salad when she asked on the side- by the time he came back he had her dinner.. Which was under cooked, they ordered 2 desserts & asked to run the cc for the bill at the same time he picked up the plates. He was asked to wrap her dinner, he brought the desserts & cc, never came back AT ALL. In meanwhile i asked her to order me 2 desserts to go- but her server never checked back in.. So no ordering my desserts, and she couldnt wrap the 2 halves of each dessert left on the table either. It was about 9:30pm when he was last at the table- So i ended up ordering the dessert online when i went on the site for the number, it was at 9:45- my thinking was she could pick up fm bar.. When she went to leave the hostess/waiter/bar staff, no one could find the order- i ended up calling directly to order it directly at about 9 55. The hostess said they were closed and couldnt make a dessert order. My sister was standing at the hostess stand. I tried explaining further- (Plus i sent a screen shot of my order conformation w/ pick up time,-9:55,pmt conf, etc). Finally at aboit 10:01 The manager got on the ph. I explained- she said it was a new system she wasnt sure what happened. 10:02 she asked me to hold, she went and got the dessert, i was going to have my sister pay cash or use my cc what ever was easier for her, she said she was sorry for the confusion and didnt charge me. And in case it already charged my cc- she told me to call her so she could take care of it as well.. which It didnt... The manager was very capable & professional. She took care of the simple thing i needed in 1 min- something the rest of her staff had a hard time grasping- or figuring out how to accomplish putting in an order for 2 desserts to go. Lol. I understand if the online system is new, but that could of been avoided if the initial server did a table check. My sister didnt get into her experience at all w/ the manager- she was on a date & was already pissed off i was making it harder. Lol. . But She told me all about it as she ate half of my complementary dessert... compensating for the one she didnt get to bring hm.I will add this location is wonderfully decorated. Lol. In the past i have had small family gatherings here.( 6-8 ppl ). Its easy to spend a good ammt of money. Its worth the cost if you have the right server taking care of you. To sum it up, Its the zip sauce, kit kat bars, & Service that seperates this place fm olive garden. Lol.I have a millie gratzie card somewhere. Does anyone know if they still honor that program???.
We made reservations for a Saturday night requested a booth, we were seated at the very first booth at the door so it felt like we were in the lobby and it was cold from the front door really couldnt enjoy the inside atmoshepre dining room.Jon was are waiter he was tentive and the service was good. I ordered a Martini they didnt have the mixers for it so Jon brought me something similar to taste it was good. I order minestrone soup well it was more like cabbage soup with no beans or pasta didnt care for it so I didnt finish it. My main dish was Breaded Chicken Breast with a cream garlic suace, it had no taste the veggie was spaghetti squash whoopi, so $20 got me a tastesless meal very dissappointed.I think my days of eating at any of the Andiamos are done!!
Very pricey, but you get what you pay for and by that I mean the very best of the very best. The management and staff are attentive and extremely respectful. The venue is gorgeous and is generally quiet even on a busy evening. The food is unbelievably amazing and your taste buds will actually thank you.
Took my wife to the Andiamos on 7 mile in livonia. After talking to the manager about why everyone but us had a wait staff, we were told that his best waiter Jason would be our waiter and apologised for the 28 minute wait. After 15 more minutes we had to leave. I usually go to the one on 15 and Telegraph rd. I have never had a problem there. Sorry I cant give you any tips on food as we never got that far. We are also Gracie members. Its going to be a shame watching them go out of business........,............
Waitress was great but.......We orderedFor AppetizersAmerican bread and aGiant meatball that was raw!!!!!They said it was prepped wrong but it was safe .... Bull $%#@.We decided to stay for the main course anyways.. bad idea!I ordered the lasagna, Wife had the ravioli. My lasagna was worst than a frozen lasagna. Took 2 bites in total...Wife took a bite of ravioli and the filling was still ice cold.I was in disbelief and so disappointed. We love italian and I have been to andiamo Dearborn .... thought it would be the same quality. NEVER AGAIN!A hour after eating and we are both nauseated and have not left the bathroomThey lost a customers tonight! We will never go back
Service: mediocre. I am so sad that this was not the romantic place that our date night envisioned. When our salad was over-dressed, then our entrees undercooked, the manager apologized (as she twirrled her keys by her shoulder...professionally) that she was sorry that her cooks temperatures werent right for how we liked our food (we like our food cooked: my scallops were raw and his steak was bloody). We told her our appetites were lost; we didnt want a redo. The manager promised us a certificate for drinks and appetizers to try Andiamo again, but she never followed through. Truly disgusting food. Truly disgusting managerial skills.
First time customer here for our wedding anniversary dinner. Our service did an excellent job, the food was alright. I ordered a lean veal steak w/c not ok for the price..mostly bone n chunk of fats...there are lots of Italian restaurants around Livonia, Canton, Northville that can beat in terms of food quality.
We decided to try this place last minute after a graduation ceremony and with only 5 tables filled with guests, we were turned down because we didnt have a reservation. So, we went down the street to Papa Vinos and had a GREAT meal at a great price. Will never try to go here again because Papa Vinos has great food and service right down the street.
Had a bad restaurant experience. Ordered a PASTA which was terribly under cooked. The server was so rude. its the Worst pasta i ever had. I will never step into this restaurant again. Left the food as it is, and over that the guy even charged me for those terrible pasta with no shame or regret.

2022-02-08Andiamo Livonia has a nice, comfortable overall ambience. The Good:The staff, especially the manager/owner was absolutely amazing. This would have been a 3 star review had it not been for the amazing hospitality. The manager came around often and gave honest opinions on the menu items we should be trying. Went by his suggestions for the dessert and it was absolutely delicious - by far the best part of our meal. We had KitKat and Tiramisu and both are must haves for anyone who visits. Also the home made Zip sauce is amazing as well and goes perfectly with any cut of meat. Now the Not-So-Good:The food was good, not bad, not great, just good. I was disappointed with the cold grilled veggies that came along with my steak. The steak itself was medium in parts (I wanted it medium-rare) and a bit too fatty for my liking. Kitchen was backed up as informed by our server so the entrees took quite a bit of time from kitchen to table.Had gotten dirty flatware which was promptly replaced but a slight turnoff nonetheless. The seats in the booth we sat at was pretty dirty as well, with hair and stains all over.Personally, Id probably give Andiamo Livonia another try before coming to any hard conclusions.

2022-01-21Took them over 15 minutes for our waiter to approach our table to take our drink order once we where seated . Ive ate at all the locations this was by far the worst experience of them all. Disappointing too because We went here to celebrate my sons birthday. Food was okay the rice balls rice was a little hard not normal. Stay away from this location is sub par.

2022-02-17You may call it delicious or sumptuous or luscious or lavish or elegant. Call it anything but the food was amazing😍🤩😋 and so were the staff. I am reserving this restaurant for all my future special events. We ordered pasta with arrabbiata and basil sauce and the second dish was the trout fish.Pasta’s taste was 🤩 and fish was also so soft, juicy and with just the right spice. We also got caprese salad which is a must try and for desert we got tiramisu.Nevertheless-Andiamo- you are doing a great job 👏🏻

2021-08-31First post-pandemic birthday celebration at Andiamo restaurant on 7 Mile in Livonia. This place is just awesome. All through the pandemic, from carry-out to masks to open dining, the folks that run this Andiamo location have been thoughtful and professional. It very easily was our fine dining go-to choice. Even when it was still masky and covidy, they made it a nice dining experience. And even as they are re-staffing and struggling with staff—-STILL AWESOME DINING.Tonight was mom’s birthday and we are so happy with our experience. I brought flowers and a present earlier in the day and Kara at the hostess station made sure it was out and placed on our table. Perfection!Nick gave us high-level, personal service. Everything was taken care of before we could even ask. We had a party of 8 and we felt like we had the whole restaurant to ourselves.Scallops tonight were in the top three that I’ve ever had, and as I type this, I’m considering editing that to the best I’ve ever had. Perfect, perfect, sear and melting butter throughout. Filet was cooked perfectly.I’m going to go ahead and announce this right now and make it official: Andiamo of Livonia is the Best Calamari in the Detroit Metro Area. Hand prepared, hand breaded, perfectly seasoned and garnished with fried banana pepper rings.Thank you so much to Nick and Kara and the Andiamo team for making moms dinner something special during a rough time.(If you are reading this from the future, please know, not all of us were crazy.)

2022-05-22For the reputation it has, I was pretty shocked with the food quality, presentation, and serving time.Have of the dish was warm and the vegetables cold.Took the waitress over an hour to serve us two drinksThe staff was nice and apologetic, which kind of makes you feel bad for them as they are trying their best to coop with it
