I went to pay a ticket on a weekday afternoon. I was the only person around and stood at the counter waiting for someone. A manager was on a call in that area, and a few minutes later after ending his call he said hed try to find someone. 5 minutes later I was still standing there watching employees converse and come back from breaks. I walked over to ring the bell and as I did someone saw me and finally came over.I explained that I was paying ticket because the online portal was broken. I started to explain what they may want to investigate, but they didnt care because they had no way to contact the State of Michigan who runs the website, and wouldnt even know where to begin. Well, its your job to find out and to serve the city that you work for and its citizens. How are you unable to contact people from the State that you work in? The government cant be this inefficient.

Too bad that you can call during business hours, to the central number for the City Clerk, and get voice mail. Then you have to leave a long message on what you want from them and HOPE that they respond. This is Ann Arbor. Come on!
