Dr. Gray and his staff (I had Emma) were outstanding! I have severe anxiety about going to the dentist and I won’t go anywhere else from now on. If you are putting off dental work (like I was) - this is the place!!
The doctor I saw was so nice and personable. He explained everything clearly to me without judgement and was willing to move his personal schedule around to make sure I could get work done within a specific timeframe for my insurance. I felt very welcome and comfortable here
TL;DR: Ann Arbor Smiles is coming for as much of your money as possible. You shouldnt trust them with something as important as your oral healthcare. Besides egregious upselling, they are explicitly breaking their contractual obligations with Delta Dental at the cost of the patient. Please, let my wifes experience be a warning. Take your business elsewhere.Today multiple members of staff tried to convince my wife to pay hundreds of dollars for fillings when her dental insurance (Delta Dental) covers 100% of the cost.The staff insisted that the charge was correct, and even suggested that it may be due to how bad the cavities were (they were not; one was barely a surface level filling). She claimed that this was the best price available in the area, that going anywhere else would be useless, and acted like expecting a $0.00 charge would be absurd. The staff member went back and forth to the dentist and all of this took place in front of other patients in the waiting room, making my wife feel embarrassed and crazy.When my wife called Delta Dental, they explained that they do in fact cover 100% of the costs.They then made clear what was happening: The dentist was trying to make my wife pay for the difference between what they *wanted* to charge for the service, and how much Delta Dental was willing to pay for the procedure. This is called balance billing, and is explicitly FORBIDDEN.Unfortunately you can only submit a complaint to Delta Dental after youre charged in this way, so there was nothing Delta Dental could do about AA Smiles behavior.When looking back at her other experiences with AA Smiles, my wife noticed multiple red flags, like her hygienist charged $50 for an extra good cleaning on her first visit. She cited a high level of plaque build-up, but neither she nor the dentist had an answer as to what they would have done if shed said no - clean her teeth a bit worse?This and other behaviors speak to a culture of up-selling and exploitation across the clinic. AVOID.

My mom had a very difficult job done on her jaw by Dr. Marzoni.It was an amazing experience! My mom spent three and a half hours in the dentist chair. She is home now and Dr. Marzoni himself called to check how she was doing. Whats so incredible is the team work: the doctor, the assistant, and several other helpers working like one organism. Also, attention to every detail, plan B for any un-forseen complication, and family-like atmosphere there. And well, did I mention Dr. Marzonis professionalism?
Dr. Emily is amazing. She is professional, detail oriented, and patient focused. Dr. Emily and Jesse are a great team. I highly recommend them.

My first experience with Ann Arbor Smiles was positive! The staff was very welcoming and kind. Brittany and Dr. Emily were very passionate about their work! They made me feel comfortable and put together a plan for the future. True professionals!
Excellent dentists and hygienists. The office is clean, the equipment is top notch, and they are at the forefront of dentistry. I have been going here for 30+ years and I am always impressed by the new equipment and techniques that they have. They also now have a full pediatric clinic which is great. There are literally dozens of dentists in the Ann Arbor area but I wouldnt go anywhere else.
Ann Arbor smiles is a great place to be. The staff is very kind and cheerful. The paperwork is really smooth and they go over and beyond to make sure youre comfortable and to pre check if your insurance covers the cost.Dr. Liane Racelis was very friendly and patient and explained everything very clearly. She also spend time for closer inspection as opposed to some other places where they rush through dental examination. Noor, who was the dental assistant was very patient and helpful too. For the hygienist, Caitlin was fun and very thorough and did a great job. With just one appointment, this place has become my dentist of choice!
After moving towns, I was really nervous about changing dentists, as I was extremely happy with my old one. They put my anxieties to ease and took their time to ensure I was comfortable and informed of everything they were doing. The amount of time they took educating on home care and prevention was far beyond anything Ive had in the past and was extremely grateful for that. They also took my insurance into account when developing my treatment plan. Im feeling very optimistic about this switch and would recommend for anyone with dental anxiety like myself!
I had a dental emergency and I was in sooo much pain. They got me in right away on a day when most dentist where closed. The staff was so friendly and professional. I drove 30 minutes and I will be back for all my dental need. I can’t tell how grateful I am to them and how awesome they are. I promise who ever goes here will be extremely happy.

My entire family and I have been to this clinic since 5 years and what an amazing team with a friendly staff! Dentistry at its best! Special thanks to Dr. Gray, Dr. Emily and hygienists Brittany, Lorenzo. Warm receptionists like Mary Ann. I could mention all of them who works there. Dr. Gray went out of his way to restore almost all of my teeth with precision, yet with empathy. I don’t fear dentists no more 😊
I, like many, am not a fan of going to the dentist in general. But Brittany is the sweetest and most helpful hygienist Ive ever had! She understands when Im nervous being there, politely and thoroughly answers when I have questions, and has given me advice that was easy enough to follow and made a huge difference. I always know Im in good hands when she is thereDr. Marlow is also wonderful-- he makes sure I understand everything thats going on, lets it be MY choice on whether or not to have procedures done if it isnt 100% necessary (think more preventative), and is always kind even though I get very anxious every time I see him (through no fault of his own!).I have never had a bad experience here. Would definitely recommend becoming a patient!
Dr. Marlow is hands down the best dentist. I also love his assistant, Ashley! I’ve been coming here for a few years now and the care I receive is always top notch. They make each visit as comfortable as possible, explain everything that they’re doing, and make sure any questions I may have are answered. I used to dread going to the dentist, now it’s a much more inviting and pleasant experience. 10/10.
Lorenzo is gentle and thorough in his exam and cleaning. He was attentive to my questions. Dr. Gray spent lots of time addressing my concerns and offering me treatment options. They are terrific.

Ive been going to Ann Arbor Smiles for two years now and working with Dr. Emily. She takes such good care of me, and she really cares about my well-being. They recommend me preventative measures that I can take, and they dont try to push you any treatments unless theyre absolutely necessary.I had a crown done a while ago, and on my last exam, they noticed that some of the cement was missing. They replaced the entire crown FOR FREE.Now thats service!
By far the best dentist I’ve been too. Brittany is such an amazing hygienist and overall fantastic person! Dr. Emily took so much time with me explaining everything, and her team is so caring and compassionate.If you’re looking for a dentist in Ann Arbor, there is no better choice than here.

The doctors and staff at Ann Arbor Smiles have a wonderful balance of friendliness and professionalism. I had an issue with my tooth recently, and where many other dentists would have tried to push me to spend thousands to resolve it, Dr. Gray and Dr. Marzonie discussed the different scenarios and options with me, which included doing nothing at all. They never pushed a specific option and allowed me space to ultimately decide. Their honesty was refreshing! Shout out to Brittany too, she’s fabulous!!
I had a first visit with Dr Emily Kennedy Marlow today and she impressed me deeply with her care, friendliness, and thorough approach. She really took the time to explain in detail what my issues were and the different ways she can address them. I went in for one issue and she took a few photos just to be sure, and found other problems I had no idea were there. I look forward to working with her as her patient.
I have horrible dental anxiety. I went in very nervous but was immediately put at ease by Wendy and Dr. Reichlmayr before and during my care. They got me set up with everything I needed to ease my anxiety and the procedure was far less gruesome than I anticipated.
Appreciate the knowledge and expertise of Dr. Gray and the Staff. All the hygienists do a great job. This appointment was for some fillings. The topical anesthetic made the injections painless. I have never had an unpleasant experience in their dental chair.
Dr. Gray is a great dentist. But the super star is my hygienist Caitlin! Pain free, caring and she actually makes it fun. I have severe allergies and asthma so it’s hard to be tipped backwards too far. Caitlin is very understanding and accommodating! I finally do not dread going to the dentist!The equipment is state of the art and pain free. The attention to Covid protocols are top notch. I travel an hour one way to come here three times a year for my cleanings. I’ve never waited more than five minutes in the waiting room.Another benefit is there’s more than one dentist so if you have an emergency there’s always someone to help!
Best dental experience Ive had in my life. Highly recommend this office to anyone whos been avoiding the dentist due to bad past experiences. Dr. Gray did amazing work fixing up my teeth and Ill be going here for as long as Im in the area!

I have had many crowns, small fillings and routine cleanings here. Very attentive staff, Dr. Emily has great attention to detail and ensures good education and satisfaction about all steps of the process. Brittany is my personal favorite hygienist because she is knowledgeable and chooses her cleaning techniques for the situation wisely. Very diligent and also inclusive of varying opinions, willing to always teach.

Easily the best experience I’ve had getting a crown (and half of my mouth is crowns or bridges). I’ve had unease with dental visits for most of my life, but I’m really happy I found Ann Arbor Smiles and Dr Gray. Not only does this crown fit perfectly, it was done in one visit. My daughter has severe anxiety from trauma ( not dental related) and everyone she met at Ann Arbor Smiles treated her with kindness, patience and care. They made her feel safe and comfortable. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Marlow. For me he exemplifies all of the right traits for a care provider in terms of listening to patients concerns, explaining things at a level they can understand and has all of the pleasant, patient, outstanding bedside manners to make the whole time there a positive experience. Support staff are all top notch as well, so there is every confidence that all bases are covered at AA Smiles.
Without question the best experience I have had with dentists. Though I initially ran into an issue with communication on who my dentist would be due to one leaving unexpectedly, since I have had the uptmost best experience. Cannot recommend Ann Arbor Smiles enough. My dentist is Dr. Racelis, shes absolutely fantastic.
Dr. Marlow did a great job in extracting my wisdom teeth. The whole process went smoothly and quickly. No pain and bleeding came out after the extraction. I strongly recommend AAS for dental care.
I moved to Ann Arbor last year and had not found a dentist yet, I saw the excellent reviews and gave Ann Arbor Smiles a try. I am so thrilled with my experience there even during the horrible pandemic we are still facing. Dr. Emily was fantastic and made me feel very comfortable with my issues and making some suggestions for how to help at home and with additional recommendations. I then had an excellent experience with Brittney, my hygienist! I have never had such a careful and thorough teeth cleaning, complete with tips and tricks for better cleaning at home. I am happy to say I have found my dentist here in Ann Arbor! Oh and the woman who took my X-rays was also very kind and knowledgeable, I apologize for forgetting her name.
Ann Arbor Smiles has been my dentistry for over thirty years. I think that says it all. Their office is spotless, staff are respectful and pleasant, service quality is excellent, and the way they are managing their practice during the pandemic makes me feel comfortable having my dental work completed at their office. BTW, just finished having Lorenzo clean my teeth, couldnt be happier with the treatment.
Haven’t had a dental home until now and I’m glad I found this place. Dr. Marlow is literally the best. Jesus hands to be exact lol. He’s funny and very knowledgeable. He made me feel very comfortable thought the whole process of getting my wisdom teeth out and filling cavities. It took him not even three minutes to get two wisdom teeth out and that in it self had me very impressed. Knowing that Ann Arbor Smiles is his dental home, now I don’t have to worry about my teeth anymore lol. So thank you Dr. Marlow!!
I have been going to Ann Arbor Smiles for over 20 years & have care done by Dr. Kennedy, Dr. Marzonie & Dr. Gray. I have also received services from many of the hygienist. All the treatment was excellent. Even with the present pandemic, I am comfortable attending my appointments because of precautions that have been implemented. All staff including receptionist, billing personal have always been professional & kind to.me.Everyone treats me the way that I hope I treated my patients during my 30 years as a RN, on my best days. I also appreciate that Ann Arbor Smiles supports the Catholic Radio Station by buying advertisements. I love Ann Arbor Smiles & Catholic Radio!
I have been coming to Ann Arbor Smiles and seeing Dr. Dan Kennedy for many years. He did an excellent job on my new crown today. This dental practice really cares about their patients.
I moved to Tecumseh and I still drive all the way here for one reason. The staff cares. They are the most encouraging empathetic bedside manner bunch of people Ive ever met. I struggle with many fears when it comes to the dentist. Some even can cause PTSD. Since Ive been coming here Ive felt 100% safe and cared about. The staff is well trained, very professional, and still know how to be fun and let loose a bit. Dr. Racelis is the best dentist I’ve ever had. She is thoughtfully conservative in her recommendations, and has never forced any of her opinions. She is extremely thorough in both her explanations and her dentistry work. She offers pros and cons to every solution and does not make mistakes. I trust her with anything and everything and I could not recommend her or the practice more.
I was recommended to Dr Gray by some friends. I had some pain and my last dentist didn’t find, diagnosis, treat it well. The office is spotless and up to date. The technician who did my X-rays was nice and made easy conversation. Dr Gray took time to ask about me and get to know me. Then got to work on my teeth issues. I don’t know that I’ve ever visited a dentist this well educated but practical. He talked through each of my issues, options and timelines and budgets. He finally diagnosed the pain source and had several options to fix it. And I mean well thought out options with timelines reasons budgets etc! I really had to talk myself up just to make it out of the car and in the door and I left feeling well taken care of, listened to, and hopeful about my teeth for the first time in years.
These folks are great. We’ve been going to them for several years, including several crowns, braces etc. we haven’t ever thought of considering a change. Patient comfort is a top priority always, and everyone is very nice too!

She went the extra mile to discuss my xrays, exam findings and treatment plan with me and I felt like she has my best interests in mind. Amanda, a dental hygienist was equally as wonderful! I also want to recognize her amazing office and dental staff. Everyone I met was super kind and willing to help and it made for a very pleasant visit!! Dr. Marzonie has been my dentist for 40 yrs give or take a year. A more competent, professional, and highly skilled dental group would be hard pressed to find. As much as anyone, I dont find the idea of a dental visit to be at the top of my agenda of places that come to mind when I define fun and exciting places I want to be. Yet the staff at a2 smiles have the ability make you feel comfortable and relaxed.

Lorenzo did his usual awesome job checking and cleaning my teeth. Dr. Kennedy shared a wealth of information concerning dry mouth. All in all, a wonderful visit. Thank you!
I went to Ann Arbor Smiles after several years of not seeing a dentist, and I was a bit nervous. Dr. Emily was so kind and thorough, answered all of my questions, and definitely calmed some of my concerns. I had to have a very intense cleaning procedure with a bit of pain due to gingivitis, but the whole team was very conscientious of my comfort and treated me with the utmost respect. I cannot recommend Ann Arbor Smiles enough!
Everyone at Ann Arbor Smiles Parkway treats you like a VIP - thats just the way they treat their patients. Yes, they use the most current techniques and they make sure you understand the treatment. Their expertise is apparent. I appreciate all of that but what I appreciate most of all is that everyone in the office goes out of their way to make sure that going to the dentist - no ones favorite event - is as pleasant as possible. Today was my first visit at Ann Arbor Smiles. I have REAL trouble going to a dentist. The patience and kindness they showed in helping me through my visit was exceptional. I could not be more pleased with my decision to go here. I have been in the service industry for decades and know quality service and sincerity when I see it. I saw it in abundance today at Ann Arbor Smiles. Kudos to them for being at the top of their game.
Dr Marzonie and Dr Hoffmann were extremely professional. I have been seeing Dr Marzonie since 2002 and he is my dentist of choice. Even if I moved an hour away from Ann Arbor, driving back here for my appointments is nothing compared to the excellence of service I get. I am always treated with such dignity and respect. I have met Dr Kennedy on a few occasions and even if he is not my doctor, he is one of a kind gentleman who will treat you with dignity and respect. You get the sense that all doctors working at this practice follow the same code or principles i.e., they are all down to earth, relatable, easy to speak to kind of doctors. The staff at this dental practice are absolutely fantastic. I always feel welcome and treated with great care. I have come to know many of the staff over the years. Lorenzo is an amazing dental hygienist. Special thanks to Jessie and India for your professionalism. Wishing you success in your careers in the dental profession. Even though a visit to the dentist isn’t usually my favorite thing to do I’m glad I made the 50 minute trip to Ann Arbor smiles. Their technology is current, their staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I have worries that make me uncomfortable with dentist visits and they addressed each one of my concerns and my anxieties were put at ease. I am pleased with my treatment plan and feel confident that my future visits will be as pleasant as well.
Weve been receiving care from Ann Arbor Smiles for over a decade now. As our family has grown, I continue to be impressed with the level of care we receive at every age. My little ones are treated with great care by professionals who want them to learn that its safe and helpful to visit the dentist. The staff is consistently excellent in their work and the dentists demonstrate that they do this work because they care about helping people.
I was warmly greeted as I entered the dental clinic(as always), Chris did a careful and very thorough job of cleaning my teeth, and Dr. Marlow was very thorough with the exam, even noticing something I am following up with a doctor in another field. We have been with this practice for 38 years, with 5 kids, my husband and myself, and have never been disappointed, and always very pleased with our care.

I had an appointment for a Cleaning today. I saw Theresa. This was a first appointment with her and I couldnt have been more pleased! She did an excellent job! She was thorough, took good X-rays ( no need to repeat), very professional yet personable.My dentist today was Dr. Emily. I was so pleased with her as well.Though today was with new people, ( Im a long time patient) A2Smiles did not fail to deliver on any level. COVID-19 or not every thing and everyone was great!! Kudos to all!I look forward to seeing Lorenzo & Dr. Marlow again in the future.
I was nervous to go to the dentist after not going for a long time. I had nothing to worry about, because everyone here is SO kind. They educated me about my x-rays, and my teeth in general, and it really helped me to feel empowered about engaging in my own care. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone!
I love Ann Arbor Smiles. Ive been to one other dentist in Ann Arbor but they didnt live up to their own name. I just was recently asked to come more often for cleaning and I am glad to do so. This is the level of care they provide. It doesnt replace my own personal care, obviously, but its to speak towards the professionalism and personal touch they provide. Highly recommended!
Can’t say enough about this team. I was traveling from 200 miles away, and they were amazingly flexible and helpful in arranging time to get as much work done in a single appointment. They were efficient, warm, professional and highly competent. I will use them for all my dental work going forward.
I absolutely LOVE my dentist, Dr. Marzonie! I avoided going to the dentist for years, and I mean years! I read that Ann Arbor Smiles caters to people who are afraid of a dentist. I made an appt. They examined me and gave me an estimate. Three years later, almost to the date, still scared, I made another appointment. He put me right at ease.. not only Dr. Marzonie but his entire staff! Yesterday was the big day. Big surgery. Today I went for a check up. I actually left the office laughing with his nurse. When I got home I was checking my messages and had a voice mail from Dr. Marzonie asking if I was doing ok. Can you believe this?! I would recommend Dr. Marzonie to anyone needing a dentist. Dr.Marzonie went way beyond the 9-5 dentist. He has a patient for as long as he will have me. Oh, and my husband said this is who he is going to have as a dentist now too. I saw Dr. Emily for my appointment, and she was the best. She was super personable and nice. She was the first dentist I’ve ever had who not only showed me my x-rays, but went over them in detail with me (what she usually looks for, signs of good and bad health, and even just pointing out the nerve in the jaw bone like a little science lesson). She explained what she was doing with every step and why. She also answered all my questions thoroughly. I felt really well taken care of.
Dr. Emily and Brittany are amazing. Cannot speak to all the dentists or hygienists as I have only met these two but one hundred percent recommend this place based on my experience with them so far. Clerical staff have also been very friendly and helpful.
This place is great. They do good work, explain what they are doing, and make you feel comfortable while doing so. As someone who has always had anxiety about the dentist I feel at ease having them do work. You can tell they really know their stuff, glad I found them.

I needed to make a new patient emergency appointment over the weekend. Smiles Huron Parkway was able to see me Monday morning for a very detailed assessment (xrays, 3D tooth imaging, treatment consultation). Though the office is busy, the organization around health screenings and letting people access the building safely is really impressive, and I would especially like to thank the staff member in the parking lot for her hustle and coordination of this process. Please be patient when you visit. Everyone there is doing their very best.The dental hygienist was incredibly kind and professional. The office staff as well. Dr. DiDonato has a very gentle, friendly manner. Although the office was busy, he actually sat down next to me to talk about treatment options and my health history. I have really never felt so at-ease in a dentist office. Bonus: crowns are made in-house, so theres no scheduling separate appointments for extensive work.I will be making this office my permanent dentist, and feel confident that they are taking Covid seriously and working to create a comfortable environment for their patients.
I have had a life time of anxiety when it comes to my dental health. Previous exposure to bad care had me avoiding dental care unless it was a dire emergency. Which is excatly what brought me here. When i first came here, i was so anxious i was in tears i had to use the nitrous gas to decrease my anxiety. Dr Emily & Dr Marlow has won my trust, replaced my fear and anxiety with peace and comfort. Today i turned a corner and did my fillings with no gas. They both take their time, make sure I am comfortable and it is so easy to trust them. The staff there is the same. They all know i am anxiuos and go out of their way to make me feel safe. Best dental experience ever. I saw Dr. Gray for some rather extensive dental work, due to long delaying seeing a dentist because of anxiety. Dr. Gray met with me prior to my dental appointment to discuss the medication he would use and what to expect, and he texted me the night before, too! His staff also helped me with arranging financing. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Grays professionalism and flat-out niceness and the helpfulness of the staff.

My experience with Dr. Grey and Ann Arbor smiles has been nothing less that 10/10. I was referred to him by a family member after I had a botched procedure at a dentist group in Ypsilanti. He repaired what they horribly messed up and found several problem areas that they missed. I had a crown replaced/restored on 5/23/21 and he did such an amazing job that I could eat on it not even 24 hours later. Which was not the case with the other “practice”. He listened to my needs, provided pain relief as much as I needed and I couldn’t be a happier customer! Thanks Doc!

The attention to detail in both her craft and the information she communicates during procedures provides assurance that I am receiving great care. I have honestly never felt so well-informed when I sit down in the exam chair and so confident when walking out the door.I brought several issues to her as a patient. I have been trying to address these issues with two other Dentists over the past couple years and she was able to address and correct my main concerns within two visits, while also correcting several mistakes made by previous providers. She outlined a pragmatic approach to addressing my concerns and was very receptive to input along the way. Her demeanor and bedside manor is quite pleasant and she is an absolute pleasure. She seems to be a truly kind, caring, and genuine person. I had six old fillings replaced with modern materials and Dr. Gray and Kendra took fantastic care of me. Dr. Marlow is my kind of dentist: sharp, kind, personable, and thorough. Im not a fan of spending money to sit in a chair and have people dig around inside my face, but my experience at Ann Arbor Smiles has been the best Ive had anywhere, ever. Ms. Kennedy, the hygienist that did my cleaning was also just awesome. I was seen promptly and a ton of work got done at my pace. Its a busy office, but I felt like the only patient there from check-in all the way through to leaving! As far as Im concerned, my search fro a good dental practice is OVER - I will be a patient at Ann Arbor Smiles, and specifically of Dr. Marlow, as long as theyll have me.
I see Dr Emily at AA Smiles and have had the best dental experience. The facility is state of the art. The staff, from front desk & billing to the hygienists, are professional and friendly. I love Dr. Marlow! He has an awesome attitude and made me feel like Ive known him for years. He and his staff were great with my younger kids as well. Ive had an awesome experience at Ann Arbor Smiles so far! The hygienists are very thorough and competent with their cleanings, and the dentists are extremely approachable and down-to-earth. I recently had an onlay procedure done in 2.5 hours (!), and they built the crown in-office with some very high-tech software.I highly recommend Dr. Kang - he jokes with you, is very good at injecting local anesthesia, and is generally a very pleasant dentist to have. I will say that the Huron Parkway location is aesthetically nicer than their other location, but Ive had good experiences at both.

The best dentistry ever! I went to see DR. Alexander Marlow after unsuccessful attempts at pain management with my previous dental office. It was the best dental appointment ever. I was numbed perfectly and received the right amount of gas to keep me comfortable. I didnt feel a thing. The dental assistant, Kelly was amazing as well with providing an expectation of what to expect during and after my visit. Dr. Marlow has a way of talking you through the procedure and what you may experience. I highly recommend Dr. Alexander and his staff.

Steven Gray and his staff are very informative. He is always letting you know what he is doing and why he is doing it. He is always concerned about whats best for you and not for his pocket book. Also they always seem to be up on the latest technology. I have never had any issues with their dental work. It may speak volumes that I drive from Jackson to have my teeth worked on!
I am 59 years old and have been to several dentists and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. Teresa the hygienist was outstanding and Cassandra the assistant was excellent as well. Doctor DiDonato was the best in his profession. I was in and out for a crown in 2hours.

If/when you have to go to the dentist, this is the place to go! I just had two crowns (my first ever) by Dr. Gray, and the experience was actually pleasant. Dr. Gray and his assistant, Kendra, were very tuned in to how I was doing both physically and emotionally throughout the two-hour procedure. I experienced zero pain, and found the technology they have now to be really amazing. The office is very clean, friendly, and professional. We adore our dental hygienist (Christine) as well. Sooo enjoyed my experience at Smiles today! It had been a long time since I had been in for cleaning and Michele was very kind and encouraging. I recently had changes in my health too and she discussed this with me with confidence and comfort which I really appreciated. She was very thoughtful too and sent a little surprise home for my young children to encourage them about their first experience with the dental office which will be coming up soon.

Since the start of when I was greeted at the front desk, I felt very welcomed within the environment! This was my first time at a dentist office in 8 years so I was definitely nervous and was not knowledgable on the different forms I had to fill out, the simple logistics of how the appointment works, but every staff member that I interacted with had the patience to explain terminology, how payment works, etc. I truly was not expecting the fantastic customer experience I was greeted with and will be making this location my main dentist office for any future teeth operations and/or appointments. The best part was that they understood my busy 9:00am - 5:00pm M-F weekday schedule and was very flexible in scheduling future appointments. Seems a bit like a big family.This time I had my teeth cleaned by Lorenzo. Great job. A few weeks ago Dr Grey did a cerrac. I was very pleased with his kindness in trying to minimize the discomfort of getting numbed. Next week Im seeing Dr Kennedy and Amanda for a follow up visit on my sleep apnea oral appliance. I was referred to Ann Arbor Smiles by a coworker last year. My dentist is Dr. Kennedy, and my hygienist is Michelle. Michelle is very friendly and makes you feel super comfortable despite any discomfort you feel during the procedure.If you feel any pain, they will happily administer numbing gel. Dental cleanings take around 45 minutes, which is a bit longer than what I am used to, but it is because they are thorough. After my first appointment, for the first time ever, I could feel a physical difference in the lack of plaque near my gums.They really know what they are doing over there. I would recommend anyone to their practice. Their hours are great, too. The only downside is that the sea urchin in their fish tank is really creepy.
I somehow made it (almost) 30 years without a cavity. Then all of a sudden I had 5! Dr. DiDonato did a wonderful job on with the fillings and was very patient with my anxious and cold-stricken self. The hygienists have been great as well! Highly recommend.
Dr Gray and Dr Marzonie always provide great care. The other thing I want to point out is how amazing the front desk woman Mary Ann is. I sat and waited for my daughter to get out of her ortho appt for 1.5hrs. In that time, I saw Mary Ann provide amazing care and service to every soul that walked in the door. She knows everyones name and makes you feel like youre at home! Shes a model employee by all standards!
Dr Gray is caring, skilled, and passionate about doing excellent dentistry. I greatly appreciated that they saw me on Saturday morning when I called with a root canal problem. Jordan at the front desk was also very helpful.
I recently had cosmetic bonding for my chipped and grooved front teeth by Dr. Steven Gray. The procedure did not require freezing, was painless, and I love the result. My teeth are even, smooth, stronger and look great. I highly recommend this painless procedure.
Very detailed and thorough, however because of not being in network and being classified into care with heightened costs we had to leave the practice. Dr Gray is great and the staff does a good job at educating but we felt a little discouraged with all the recommended procedures.

I recently went to the University of Michigan dental school to try to save money on a procedure (only to find out it was cheaper at Ann Arbor Smiles - left before it started when I found out). Anyways, the student there did a quick once over and said, Did Steve Gray do your fillings? Dang hes good!
I love this dental office. I fell off my bike this morning and smashed my face on a rock. My teeth were fixed by 11:00 AM. They are warm, compassionate and technically outstanding. My children were *truly* impressed by the beautiful repair (as am I). I can’t speak more highly of the thoughtful, excellent, empathic care I received.
The experience at Ann Arbor Smiles was the worst of the worst! If I had to relive March 12, 2021 all over again Ann Arbor Smiles on Huron Parkway would be the last place on earth I would call for an already aching tooth. The receptionist named China was so very inexperienced; I had to call my girlfriend who happens to be a nurse in on a conference call to help explain certain criteria pertinent to my situation. It was simply stuff, like how to look up my insurance info with my social security number etc. When she finally got me an emergency appointment at 1:30 p.m. to see a dentist by the name of Dr. Liane Racelis I was in so much pain, till I was taking down Tylenol like it was your favorite eatables. However once the Doctor x-rayed my mouth and not really finding the problem, she referred me to an Endodontics so they could pinpoint exactly what was the problem. However, those who have been referred before knows that this kind office is booked out at least a month and therefore one must wait his/her turn. Nevertheless, Dr. Racelis explained, she was going to write me a prescription for antibiotics to help release any infection that may be causing the pain according to the x-ray she explained. She went on further to say; this is only a week supply of medicine but if it comes to the end of the 7 days period and you havent seen the specialist yet give me a call back here and I can have your prescription refilled. I finished the medication the morning of March 18th and sure enough by noon the pain woke back up with a vengeance as if it was going to burn a hole in my head. I tried instantly to let the dentist, Dr. Racelis know my appointment with the Endodontics was a couple of weeks out and I needed more antibiotics and the excruciating pain was back. Well, as it turned out upon my calling; China answered the phone and explained that Dr. Racelis was not in the office for that day and she would be back the next day. I tried asking China was there another dentist who could pick up the ball, look at the notes on the computer and my x-rays and make that decision to write another prescription for antibiotics, China replied, no. China further stated, she would try and get a hold to Dr. Racelis and see if she would okay for someone else to write the prescription. China went further out of her way to lie by stating, she would get back to me before 6 p.m. either way. She stated, she would call me and let me know something, whether she was able to make the contact to Dr. Racelis or not. Before the end of their office workday at 6:00 p.m. no one followed up with a call to me of any type. It was if I did not exist to them. The reason I can make such a statement as that; the next morning which would have been the 19th of March and Dr. Racelis would have been working this day; needless to say there was no follow up call by her or anyone from her office. The service was the poorest I have ever experienced in my life and that is coming from a person who has worked as a public servant for over 30 years. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING! They are missing that key element of business.
During these Covid times, I heard the dental offices are not able to use paste for polishing. I’m telling you, It was not missed. I had the best dental hygienist. He was so thorough and detailed with cleaning my teeth. All aspects of Covid protection was also practiced. Awesome experience! Thank you Ann Arbor Smiles.
Doctor Kennedy is my most favorite practitioner of Dentistry of all time! I had some major work done and at the very hint of discomfort that he detected from me, he stopped and made absolute certain that my comfort was optimal. He is more like a classical artist in the final result as I know virtually no one else could produce these same results. My teeth are spectacular! My daughter broke a tooth while eating and they got her in right away. They were very careful and sanitary -with all this COVID-19 stuff going on it made us feel very safe. My daughter was comfortable and well taken care of. Great place, I highly recommend!
Great experience at Ann Arbor Smiles! My regular DDS is in NY and needed something time-sensitive taken care of. Smiles was so accommodating even with last minute notice on a Friday afternoon. Everyone who helped me on staff was incredibly nice and Dr. Gray provided excellent care.

I recently switched my whole family over to Ann Arbor Smiles. My son was the first to enjoy his first visit. From the receptionist and the salt water fish tank on down to the Dental Hygienist and finally the Doctor. They give you so many gifts for joining, prizes for the kids and sunglasses for them to wear while the lights are in their eyes. Everyone was GREAT! I have never experienced such great customer service anywhere. I love Ann Arbor Smiles
I moved to Ann Arbor nine months ago and this is truly the first place Ive been that had excellent customer service. Dr. Kennedy said we are here to serve you and want you to be happy. Everyone from the receptionist to the hygienist and doctors were professional and friendly. I am so happy we found Ann Arbor Smiles!
Doctor Emily was really helpful throughout the time I was there seeing her (about 4 years) before I left Ann Arbor. She would always try to make her promise. Once she was not in office, her husband Alex helped me and even called Emily to get more information. They helped me with all their smiles. I really missed being there. The only one thing bothered me was the invisalign I got there was almost twice the price I saw somewhere else. Maybe its just the invisalign is getting cheaper much faster than how long my treatment took.

Ive been a patient (and my family) for the past 12 years. They are simply the best. Drs Kennedy, Marzonie, and Grey and incredible. Ive had some potentially very painful procedures done, and these gents are wizards at pain management. I actually look forward to Dr Kennedy numbing me up - hes a genius. In addition, hes an artist when it comes to restorative dentistry. His work looks and feels GREAT. The dental hygiene staff and all office staff are just simply the best. If you, as a patient, dont like this practice, then YOU have a problem, not them.

Got my first root canal today at Ann Arbor Smiles and I have to say, I am very impressed with the specialist that did it in their office. He was very tentative and I seriously didn’t feel a thing, not even the needle. It’s been over 8 hours and I’m not even sore or in pain. Thank you!!!

He totally knows what he is doing and that comes across so clearly! its nice to have someone i trust and actually look forward to seeing when i go to the dentist because that isnt always the appointment you want to go to but knowing that hes taking care of me i know im in excellent hands! His assistant Sam also is wonderful shes so friendly and really makes you feel extra special and comfortable! they make a great team! i cant say enough of how great Dr. Kang is as well as sam! i wouldnt go to anyone else ever!!! I had really bad experience with this dentistry. To be fair, their facilities are really great and top of the line. But the other side of the coin is that they have to charge at least twice more than what nearby local dentists charge. Besides, they get really pushy with recommendations for expensive surgeries/procedures. If you dont sign up for those procedures, expect some blank stares from the staff and doctors, especially Dr. Dan Kennedy who is very moody. One time, I didnt make an appointment for a new procedure/surgery that he recommended, and the next time he saw me, he was very grumpy and tried to kick me out of his shop. Well, Im not going back there and I wouldnt recommend this dentistry, especially Dr. Kennedy.
Ann Arbor Smiles has been taking care of me for at least 25 years (when it was just Drs Kennedy and Marzonie), and I have never had a bad experience. I have been seen by Drs Kennedy, Marzonie, and Gray at one time or another, and can recommend each of them without reservation. I have also been taken care of by many hygienists over the years, and they are always skilled and professional.
I had my regular cleaning with Lorenzo. Hes always prompt, courteous, and professional. He makes everything go so smoothly and always helpful with information, answering my unending questions! I so appreciate his patience!! The best hygienist too!
I had a regular appointment yesterday with Han for a cleaning, and she is *the best* dental hygienist I’ve ever seen. She’s thorough, gives her patients her full attention, and is so gentle and knowledgeable. Did I mention she’s very personable? She is!
I had a root canal and a replacement crown recently performed at Ann Arbor Smiles and it could not have gone better. Professional and caring staff did a excellent job of doing this efficiently and as comfortable as possible.
I have received THE BEST care from both Natalie and Amanda and I l cant even imagine better professionalism. They are so dedicated and detailed and just super cool. 11 out of 10!
I was in for a routine cleaning. It started and ended on time, and the hygienist who did the cleaning, Anna (Anya?), was much better than almost anyway else who has done the cleaning--almost not discomfort. There was some concern about a lesion, and Dr. Marzonie examined it carefully and in consultation with others. The checkout virtual checkout was well managed.
I appreciate professionalism and skills of Dr. DiDonato. He is meticulous and seem to do everything without inflicting pain. I think he is the best dentist I have ever had.
Been searching for a dentist that makes me comfortable for a while (6 years). Dr. Kennedy took time to chat with me, explain everything, make me comfortable, and listened to my fear. She got my filling finished quickly, with no pain. When I say no pain, I mean I didnt feel anything. Not saying I plan to rush back (it is still a dentist office) but 6 months from now Ill absolutely be back.
I have never been to a dentist office so well organize and professional its absurd. I had some work done on my teeth that needed TLC... I was quick to receive it here and being educated in the process not just your quick chat and send you on your way... but a deep heart to heart conversation. Basically going over dietary elements that will prolong healthier teeth that I didn’t know. It’s has been a painless and comforting experience having Dr.Kennedy work on my teeth, I love it here great people! :)
Love them! Ive been going here for the last year, and Dr. Kennedy does beautiful work. He and his team came highly recommended by my co-workers, and now I know why. Everyone is so kind, and the office is welcoming and well-run. You can tell these are professionals with a sense of excellence. Ive already sent a few friends there.

Ann Arbor Smiles is very professional and friendly. When I was new to the area and had an urgent wisdom tooth problem they took good care of me. They are on top of it when it comes to insurance. I definitely recommend it.
I’ve had dental work done by both Dr.Gray and Dr.Marlow. They are very good at what they do, efficient, professional, and they always keep you in the loop on what is happening with the procedure. I’ve never felt more comfortable going to the dentist.

Dr. Marzoni took great care and consideration in monitoring my pain levels during a tooth extraction. My discomfort was minimal and I appreciate the lengths he went to minimize my pain.
Always a pleasant experience at this dentist office. My hygienist, Mary, is to be commended for giving me enough advance warning about a filling I was putting off so that the dentist was quite pleased that it was scheduled before the problems developed instead of after. So, hats off to Mary and Dr. Grey for a job well done.
So friendly listened to all my concerns. Very thorough. Staff is very knowledgeable. Nervous about finding a new dentist but I made the right choice coming here!
Dr. Marzonie is absolutely the best. He does a good job at explaining what he’s going to do and gives you time to ask questions. He is very good at what he does, highly recommend!

2021-09-17Had a great first experience here - the hygienist Emily was so kind and informative, and Dr. Emily was so thorough. I have super sensitive teeth and this was the first hygienist I’ve worked with who adjusted her technique so I wasn’t in pain - normally people use a topical anesthetic on my gums and just continue as normal but with her adjustments this wasn’t needed at all. I was taken back 15min after my appointment time but they didn’t rush, didn’t cut corners, and I had a great exam. Highly recommend Dr. Emily.

My grown daughter has a lot of anxiety around dental procedures her whole life, so after some bad experiences, we sought out a dental practice adept in handling such issues. They have been amazing with her. Now we all go here. It’s not inexpensive but they do an excellent job managing insurance and costs are always made transparent up front. Highly recommend.

2022-08-06I cannot rave about this place enough. To start, everyone is SO friendly. Every point of contact was welcoming. I saw Dr. Shepard. I’ve had extensive dental work from various other practices and Dr. Shepard is the best dentist I’ve ever had. His bedside manner is fantastic. I have always experienced significant pain during dental procedures, and as a result, severe dental anxiety. My appointments at Ann Arbor Smiles have been the first painless dental visits I have had. Further, Dr. Shepard and his assistant, Emma, were so patient and kind to me when I was panicking in the chair. They made me laugh, were soothing, explained what they were doing as they did it, (and Emma let me squeeze her hand as I was getting shots, which was especially kind). I was in such disbelief when Dr. Shepard worked on my teeth and for the first time I felt no pain! He seems to really value patient comfort even if that means numbing the mouth prior to the anesthetic injections, waiting longer for the anesthetic to kick in, administering more anesthetic, and being very gentle. Another of Dr. Shepard’s assistants at my first visit was also very kind and comforting to me, and I regret that I cannot recall her name at this moment. I also wanted to mention a man working at the front desk whose name I also did not get who was fantastic- he took his time explaining my estimates and went out of his way to go over various options with me- alerting me to an insurance issue which ended up saving me thousands. Overall, I could not recommend this practice more and thank you to everyone who made my visits such a painless, pleasant experience!

2022-07-14The absolute best dentist around. Cannot recommend them enough. High tech everywhere. I had a crown done all in one day with a CNC milling machine that made my crown. 3D scan. No molds. No temporary crown. Incredible.
