The hostess was awesome, our waitress was great ...the food wasnt good at all, I ordered the 2 for 26.00 we got ribs n steak ...the ribs taste like those already cooked, ones you get from kroger, my mashed potatoes were cold, the steak was bla with no flavor but the cheese sticks and side of steamed broccoli were good. 1 star, I came for ribs and partner steak, both very disappointed other than service being good and atmosphere Id not come back again.
On 2/9/23, they were out of basically every liquor for their mucho margaritas. As soon as we got our table our 1st appetizer was ordered. We didnt receive that until about 5 mins before our meals came out. 1 of our dinners was the bourbon chicken & shrimp the chicken was not good overcooked & overloaded with a pesto seasoning, another appetizer was also ordered & it was the big one sampler platter I think for$14.99 & the dip was flavorless for$8.99extra to have I think it was a artichoke dip. I forgot to mention we had a party of 7, everybodys dinner had cold food, wether it was the fries or chicken strip, or steak. Then when we said something to our waitress she said, our carryout are really busy & thats slowing things down. Confused as they seemed to have enough workers for the to go orders I think I saw @ least 6 workers for the carryout, they seemed to all be having fun huddled all together. Now back to dealing with our waitress, for our inconvenience she/the manager gave us$5.00 off our bill. No manager came over to talk to us. The inside restaurant only had about 7 other customers, overall this Applebees location is terrible imo.
Lets start with the fact I love Applebees! Ive been going here for years. Every other time its been great. Today is was not good at all. I ordered the New big combo plate, ribs and chicken. Ribs werent ready to serve for about 2 hour. Which wasnt the end of the world. They allowed us to pick a different protein in place of the ribs which isnt allowed but given the circumstances they allowed it. When we received our food, it looked great! But when we cut into our food, it was extremely over cooked. the salmon was so dry and chewy like rubber. I got an extra side of shrimp and unfortunately my shrimp was not fully deveined! Which again isnt the end of the world but its not appetizing nor would I eat it. Now, with all this happening. I did ask to talk to the manager but I got to show the chef. He didnt noticed the shrimp wasnt fully deveined and apologized and did see the food was extremely overcooked. We already paid but he did offer to make us new entrees. Im still giving it 4 stars. It was ONE bad experience out of 50 great ones over the years. I still reccomend coming! Today just wasnt a good day simply.
My food was cold and my server was awful. I spent more time being told no or what l couldnt have versus any suggestions on what l could have. I hear all the time about servers need better tips. I come prepared to tip at least 20% .However it seems like the more they expect a larger tip the worst the service gets. Dont mind tipping l would just like my services to match.
Waitress was nice but the food was horrible, everyone’s food was either dry, cold or burnt, had to wait 45 minutes before even getting food so I don’t understand why the food was the way it was. I would never recommend this Applebees, Livonia and Westland Applebee’s are way better and service is better.

Door was locked at 10:08 , came to do dine in , it says they’re closed at 12 but the server told me that they are closed . Very disappointing.. 2 hours before close . I work as a server so I totally understand but never would I close the lobby 2 hours before close that’s ridiculous!
Our experience at this restaurant was great. Our server was very polite and attentive. She was also pleasant and friendly. The restaurant was neat, clean and well-kept. Thank you to this Applebees restaurant for the wonderful service today. We appreciate it very much.
I come from a family of servers and a mother who was a server before a chef. A daughter who relies on tips for a living. Every time I come here I’m missing items out my order or it’s wrong with no replacing or apology. However they expect a tip under these conditions even on a carry out order! The food is good to say it’s great your gambling on the day and time. You want a tip get the order right or say it’s a problem ahead of ordering.
We dined with a party of 11, half the party received their appetizers in a timely manner, while the other half received their appetizers an hour later, and the same thing happened with the main course, I and 3 others were not able to dine with the group, we ended up carrying our meals home in take out containers, that was the worst dining experience ever, I dont usually complain but they won the trophy for the worst service in all of my dining out experiences.
Have put up dividers at booths. Makes for a more pleasant dining atmosphere. Should had done that a long time ago. Nice to be able to carry on conversations while drowning out other booths.Manager is seen throughout showing she cares about her restaurant. Will definitely be back soon!
If I could give it no stars I would the host was very nice the bartender was on the phone didnt attend to us it stunk like dirty water so moved to a table went there 3 months ago in was out of the same thing I order just previously in they was still out of it like never again will I go back. HORRIBLE PLACE!
Not sure what was happening tonight I know they were down a server because the hostess told us on the way in but it was still super slow so I was surprised the service near the bar where I was sitting was super slow. The waitress forgot my shark tank drink so by the time she remembered it was watered down and not even a slushee anymore. Service was just super slow, took forever to order, forever to get my bill, forever to get my change. People that came way after me were able to eat and leave before I even got my bill. I understand with the pandemic nobody wants to work but I would rather get turned down service at the door than to sit down and get terrible service.
If I could give no stars I would this evening I ordered me and my family dinner from this location none of the food was hot the coleslaw on the wing tong tacos was warm not good at all we ordered a classic combo the wings were thrown in a bowl with bbq sauce not even covering all the wings just sloppy band rushed. We have sat down for dinner and the food was awful I always say well maybe things have changed but no still same poor food and paid 36.00 for complete Bs food never again
Highly recommended their Caesar Shrimp Salads are amazing. I order this salad from this location all the time! I am 5 minutes away from Applebee’s in a different location, The chef at this location truly cares about the customers order. Never forget to add protein and ingredients to the salad. If requested extra items they accommodate with a smile. I will always order from this location. Thank you for outstanding customer service.
I was very disappointed. I usually go to the Livonia location but they werent taking any more orders for the night so decided to go to this location instead. When we got there there were 4 cars outside waiting and it took 5 mins with not 1 person coming out before we honked (we did curbside to go). We left a 25% tip on a 69$ order only to get home and have missing items, overcooked food, and when we called about it the same lady who gave us our food made snide comments over the phone indicating that I was somehow wrong I had missing items so I asked to speak to a manager and was put in hold for 8 mins when I finally hung up and just decided to write a review about the whole experience. I will never return to this location it left a bad taste in my mouth figuratively and literally.
Visited the Dearborn Heights Applebees with the kids and was very happy with how nice & clean their place is. Great service and friendly staff. Our server April was very polite and made us feel comfortable and welcome making our experience that much nicer. Would definitely go back again! 👍🏻👍🏻
Said we wouldnt come back here but decided to give it another go. Came during lunch. Hardly anyone in the restaurant. Only ordered an appetizer combo. Took 40 minutes to get it. She dropped it off at our table and left. Didnt leave any silverware, napkins or side plates or even ask if we needed anything else. The table that sat down 10 minutes after us got there food 15 minutes before us and had ordered much more. Will not be back here. I used to be a server so I know what good service is. This place needs a lot of work.
I asked for only 3 things on my sandwich and they got it wrong literally gave me something I’m allergic too, only 3 people were seated I didn’t get my drinks till 25 minutes after, my fries were cold while my friends fries were not cold. Took a hour to get everything I didn’t even eat my food there I just got a 2 go box. They wouldint seat nobody said there was a wait but we got in no big deal told people it was a 2-3 hour wait but that wouldint make sense because they close at 12, then told people it was a hour wait or 35 minute wait they obviously did not wanna take people in.
Ordered 2 spinach artichoke dips on door dash only received one artichoke dip. They received the payment but I didn’t receive what I paid for. The one artichoke dip they did send they filled it maybe a little over 1/4 of the cup I didn’t receive what I paid for. This place sucks no one should go to this location! Very horrible. They should close soon. I guess others have had similar experiences. Ripping people off I live nearby I will never order from there again
The restaurant was freezing..I ordered the chicken tortilla soup...it was the worst soup Ive ever had..my waiter never came to check on us.. the young guy who was the hostess kept staring at my six yr old daughter which was very weird and awkward.. Me and my family will not be returning
I ordered carry-out earlier today for the first time, a steak dinner. Came with two sides and a drink. Everything was fine, it tasted good, and the sirloin steak was cooked just how I had asked, medium rare. The problem came after I had already eaten everything and was finishing up my drink. I opened up the lid to get the last few drops of the raspberry iced tea I had, and I saw something black in the ice. After looking at it closely, there was a dead fly in a hole of one of the ice cubes, that, again, I had already drank. There it away immediately. I felt like throwing up, will never be back. I understand things like this can happen, but it is still disgusting.
Me and my girlfriend like to hang out with this place just to chill . But unfortunately today we have to leave early this place not even finishing eating our food and drinking margarita. All of sudden after we start drinking margarita and eating the classic food appetizers that we order my girlfriend and I start having stomach ache. I inform the bartender cuz that’s what we’re setting at and I told her it’s not her fault . But hopefully next time they have to correct their mistakes whatever they’ve done. ✌️
Applebees,was so amazing,and everything was delicious, the greeter was very engaging, our waitress very pleasant and bubbly,the food very good and drinks affordable and delicious, I want to come back tomorrow and have this experience all over again Thank You we celibrsted my granddaughter 14 th birthday at Applebees tonite.
Im surprised they have a 3.8 rating...truly a horrible experience!Briefly, if you like to wait an hour for food you can buy from a box from Kroger w/bad service, this is the place for you.The food took a long time to get ready. And when it finally came, it was already cold and looked messy. One of the mozzarella sticks was completely covered in bbq sauce. The chicken quesadillas had maybe one piece of chicken in one of the four quesadillas I ordered, and they forgot to add the sauce it was supposed to come with Then, when it had come late, the lady helping me basically tried to say it was my fault, which has never happened to me before at any other place. The other people working there seemed nice though.That will be the last time my family & I will order from this place.
Ordered Carside from Dearborn Heights April was very professional, polite and patient with us and getting our order taken. She greeted us at our car and brought the food right back out to us again very pleasant and wearing a mask keeping us all safe and protected too. Thank you April for the extra care ❤
When it comes to Quality VS Quantity. Some say quantity wins but going to Applebee’s and having not only amazing dinner but a great exquisite server as well. Monas Quality was not the typical average. You can have 10 servers serve my table but one Mona will defeat the quality of the 10. Phenomenal.
They did not have either of the two drinks promoted for March. When we called, they said no wait. When we got there twelve minutes later, they said a 45 minute wait. Wow! No real vegetarian options, not even Beyond or Impossible burgers. Shame on Applebees. The barmaid was very helpful, so she earned the four stars.
Very terrible service. We waited an hour for drinks and another hour for food and never once did the server apologize, there were host and the manager right in front of our table and they would avoid making eye contact with us. I had to ask several other workers for help which I respect them for helping. The place was empty on a Friday which you would think we would have received faster service. I am a former server myself and I suggest your servers should inform consumers about the wait instead of avoiding them.
Everyone is so quick to say that we should support the restaurant. I dont mind doing that but i have been to applebees twice sinse we couldnt dine in and both times the food was terrible. When you call to speak to the manager they take your number and say someone will call yoy back. As of this time i have not received any call. Everyone all for support of them but yet they feel that is ok to basiclt take the customers money. I ordered ribs and stake as i always do the ribs was very uncooked whoever cut then should have known that then sauced then and gave then to me the steak was suppose to be well done it was like they jusu left it on the grill lonf enough to change the color on thr out side. The green been was put in with the fries and that was a soggy mess the bread sticks was hard. Each time those orders was $38 and some change that we work hard for. I feel like they dont care how the food is because for one you cant get to them. So it just money wasted on your end.
This review is on a delivery experience during COVID. We were delivered the wrong order. I spoke to the manager on the phone and he was compassionate and apologetic. He rectified the situation immediately and I appreciate it because it was already past closing time. I understand mistakes happen and he handled it well. The food was good and arrived on time, and we got to keep the wrong food that was delivered, so that was a plus.
The staff was very respectful and courteous, but they were not equipped to service 16 people. Not only did we have to wait over an 1 1/2 for our food, but there were out of several things that came some peoples meal. There was a lot more to say about what had taken place there, but I will leave that up to the next largest group.
If you are a delivery driver dont bother with the timing shows in the app..after 20 minutes of waiting they decided that never received the order, the 2nd time after a long drive which is like 20 minutes one of them told me they dont have onion rings. do you want me to let them know or u gonna do it..seriously? do your job.
Ordered the 2 for 20 thru DoorDash. Delivery service was good. Food was good...except that no fries came with our burgers. Doordash app had the fries option default to yes and we didnt change it. We had ordered the fried onion appetizer and the burgers were big and juicy, so we certainly didnt go hungry.
Worst experience ever..and we didnt even get to sit down and eat. Waited at the door for at least ten minutes before even addressed. Then..not sure if she was a server or bartender but we asked for a booth and there was Cleary one open. She proceeded to sit us elsewhere. We were told that she didnt know server sections and this was NOT her JOB!! Then proceeded to sit a five top at the booth we specifically asked for right after us!! At that point we walked out. And I will never return to that Applebees again
We ordered online and our drinks and half our food was not in the bag. Of course we should have looked before we drove all the way home but we trusted our food was all in there. Also they couldn’t give me a refund on my food until the manager comes in on weekdays! You have to be kidding me!!! Very upset with this service!
The floors were filthy, and the service was slow. Our food took at least 45 minutes to come out, and half the people didnt receive there food until we complained. The food delivery person (not the waitress) stuck his thumb inside my food dish as he carried it to the table, there was a hole where his thumb had been.
Went in for the All you can eat riblets/boneless chicken / breaded shrimp. My first choice was the breaded shrimp....the fries were cold & the shrimp was slightly warm. My second choice was the buffalo boneless chicken...the only flavor is buffalo which is kinda boring. No other choices. The server was average at best, she wasnt attentive to our party. Had to ask for her to come to our table several times seemed like she was slightly off...no big deal. Great place to get together with family & friends when everything is on point.
This was a really nice,neat,very clean restaurant. Very friendly,helpful and attentive waitress. Food was so good. Prices were great for 2person meals and it was a Good size serving of food. Bar drinks were delicious. We Definitely will be back soon and will recommended to others.
Hadnt been to Applebees in years, I prefer mom & pop restaurants. My experience was positive. Food was great, restaurant was clean and restroom was exceptionally clean. Our waitress was awesome, professional and apologized that our entrees were taking a bit longer than usual. She didnt hover or constantly interrupt. Made sure our beverages were refilled without having to ask.
I’m not usually one to say things on the ole inter webs about places mostly, because I don’t care enough, or the staff harangue you about a survey or some other thing to do online so I lose interest. With that being said This place has really turned around!!! I Was afraid to eat there for the longest time because the last 2 times I think I single handily kept the Imodium company in business (think Jeff Daniels bathroom scene in dumb and dumber). I Decided against my better judgment to try it one last time, I thought the worst that could happen was I would lose a few pounds again. I ordered a steak and was incredibly happy with the quality and flavor. I wasn’t expecting much seeing as how it isn’t a steakhouse but whomever cooked it did a fantastic job. The mashed potatoes were piping hot for once, and my vegetables didn’t look like the rejects from a veggie tales movie. I don’t remember the managers name it was a girl and guy Chris and possibly Megan or Marla or something but they were very nice. They are very interested in customers experience and seemed genuinely interested in making people happy. Applebee’s isn’t usually on my radar but I think I will have to reconsider given this last experience!
There was a delay in seating-hostess seemed confused and was not friendly. Waiter was friendly, however, he was very slow to bring the check and refills. Food took forever, tasted ok but fries were super salty. Also had to wait for condiments. Manager stopped by, but seemed more obligatory than sincere. Would not recommend
I can only relate the experience... Dead fly in the salad. One of the two 6oz steaks had a bad cut of meat and couldnt be bitten through on one end which had to be replaced. The wait staff and managers apologized, but the service was very poor. Long waits. Had to get up and walk to host to take our payment. And, for the checkout, the restaurant sent the waiter out with only a 30% discount for the surprise. Have had better service. 10 years ago, tainted food would have been a free meal.
Went to dinner yesterday with the family, restaurant was very dirty dishes stacked on over half the tables wrappers and trash all over the floor. Service was terrible very slow. waited 10 mins to get greeted, and then 30 mins for drinks. apps and dinner arrived 2 mins after drinks. the table next to us walked out after 30 mins with no drinks, another never got refills on drinks. food was absolutely amazing tho, shout out to the cooks for the only one who did a good job, food was hot and delicious.
Had to lower the stars....this applebees should know being based in a community that is populated heavily by arab-americans , that a lot of people do NOT consume pork. I tried to order a meal pork free and was told I could not because it was made that way. Guess nothing is made to order. Guess the customer IS NOT always right. I will be calling corporate on this matter. Thanks for nothing.
This week was the second time I was charged for items I didn’t have ($15.99) worth! The first time I caught the discrepancy before I paid my bill. This time I wasn’t as lucky. I realized it the next day while viewing my e-receipt! I immediately called and spoke to the manager who ensured me she would look into it. 2 hours after not hearing back I called back and she said she spoke to the server and she’s not sure how it happened. Then the manager apologized for the inconvenience and said she will send an e-gift card that I NEVER received! This is the WORSE location I’ve been too!!
Hostess was courteous and acknowledged us instantaneously. Food was hot when it came out, and prices were fantastic.Kids 12 and under eat free.Waitress didnt tell us about the specials. We just happened to notice after some of us had already placed our order.Definitely a revisit.
Awful, the restaurant was not busy at all and the service was super slow. The waitress even said she was by herself working all those tables. Food came out cold, luke warm at best. Didnt even get refills on our beverages. All we got was 2 free appetizer cards that had an expiration date for a $50 bill.
Although weve had decent service here before, our most recent visit was pretty frustrating. I chose Applebees over another restaurant because I thought it would be faster and we had some other things to do. We arrived at about 5:30pm. It was a bit busy, but we were seated quickly. Our waiter let us know he was new which was fine and we placed our order before 6pm. He brought our drinks out within a reasonable time. But then we realized it was getting close to 6:30. My husband went to the wait staff station to ask why our food was taking time and said they seemed helpful. No one came by to check on us so 10 minutes laster he asked again. He said it seemed like maybe the more experienced staff were showing our waiter something on the computer system. Finally at 6:45pm he went and asked if manager could come speak to us since no one had been by our table since we got our drinks. A manager came up but he seemed quite inexperienced and confirmed our concern that our order had just been put in. We were polite, but it was incredibly frustrating. Our food was great when it came and the woman (another manager?) who came to our table the remainder of the evening was great. I do feel they should have comped part of the meal, but they didnt. Im hoping future visits will be better and our situation was just a one time thing. Ill update my review if I have better experiences in the future. I do know we wont be going here any more if we have less than an hour to spend, though.
At the first moment you come to that restaurant the stuff gives you an excellent feeling. Very congenial team, it is a good restaurant to hang out with friends and colleagues or with your date. very good cuisine, talented chef, honest pay and courteous service. Highly recommended.
My family and I visit this location often, but on our last two visits they have bey horrible. They are currently under staffed, both times we waited at least 10 to 15 minutes for someone to get our drink order. The first time the waiter forgot about us and brought our food nearly 25 minutes after we ordered and says it was sitting in the back but he did not know it yet in still it was hot. The second time we waited and our food was cold. We come to this location because they were great but now I would not count on it if they are busy.
Group of eleven. Horrible service. Drinks and food took forever. Two people never received their food, had to ask for it again to-go. Not busy at the time. Individual bills were all incorrect. Waiter and manager seemed undertrained. Cook (or chef?) had to help make corrections. Very frustrating experience for our group trying to celebrate an occasion.
She was a Friendly happy greeter attentive to my needs-use a cane.Waiter, Ramon, friendly, pleasant , helpful. Best service we can remember.He really made our afternoon (we came at the end of the business lunch ). He provided exceptional service.Ribs great. Best Ive had in years for more money. I use to love Apple Bees. But not today. Today my cousin had to re-order her food because he steak was under cooked. The silverware was dirty not just for myself but for my cousin as well. My server was so sweet. My moms coffe was cold when they brought it to her. And it took forever to get the bill.
My husband, friend and I just tried having dinner here. Left not even 5 minutes ago that was by far the worst service and food ive had and experienced. I really wish i remembered our waitress name, but she was awful. Never once asked how our food was and instantly had an attitude when i asked to talk to a manager. Potato soup had barely any potatoes in it, brisket quesadilla was salty 2 of the pieces actually had brisket in them i had asked for mexi ranch by the time i got it my food was almost gone (she blamed the kitchen which as a server myself im almost positive she just forgot about it since the building WAS NOT busy) and i was never checked to explain the brisket problem so being hungry i ate it and decided to point it out and get one to go.Ordered carry out it took 40 minutes to get it then only got one of the 2 items.. At this point we were completely fed up and just wanted our bill and told them to keep the 2nd to go item.Manager said she took a bunch of stuff off our bill for the food and horrible service yet we get a bill for $10.00 more then what it was.I had asked for the to go i didnt want to be taken off which wasnt done. So when i mentioned it to the server she got snippy and said she would take it off.On top of all of this when my husband asked for boxes for his food that was good enough to not complain about but nothing special it took her 3 trips to bring the containers we originally asked for..If i could give less then 1 star i would.Absolutely horrible.
I frequent this Applebees and really enjoy sitting at the bar. My favorite bartender is Kaylynn who is always, always welcoming. She has my beer ready before I even ask. She remembers my name and what I usually order.She is always very friendly and sweet. I never have to wait for a refill or to order my food. The general manager, Chris Novack, is attentive and makes sure I have an enjoyable experience! Love this place!
1st I would like to say your Hostess tonight was AmazingOur waitress was right up with her.As far as the restaurant.... It was warmer on the outside than the inside tonight the hostess asked the manager to turn up the heat ( my glasses were fogging up as I was talking to my husband).It did warm up soon 😊.We than went on to order our Blondie that we always order to have it delivered with Apples 😳,The waitress said the original one you stopped making 2 months ago and it was just and OK Blondie it has nothing on the Original.THan..... as we were eating our pretzels and Cheese there was HAIR in the cheeze.The hostess seen it with out me even having to tell her the issue with it.The Manager came with a replacement and comp. It. We had her put it in a to go and it made good Doggy treat.Back to A2 We go
Update: 6/14/19Understaffed nightmare. Had to walk out. Always just poor management.Update: 3/29/19Server was very nice, unfortunately when she finally checked on us at the end of our visit and asked if we needed anything else I had to point out that I never received my meal.It was the $15 chicken & shrimp. She came back with it 10 minutes later with an apology but I had to take it to go. In this case the manager, who approved the credit, should of approached us himself since this is one of the worst mistakes a restaurant can make.Last time I ordered the free kids meal as advertised in the front window for my 5 year old. The lady manager argued with me that there is no sign and the deal is over. I told her we came in because of the deal/sign and I had to walk her outside to show her. At which point she said I must have missed one. On the front window! LolI feel like Im being punked everytime I go there. Unfortunately the kids love it.
As a past employee here, all I can say is that I hope things have changed from when I left.All of the waiters came into work high and reaked of weed.Many of the waiters would come up to me while I was hosting and told me not to sit them if the customers walking in were black.While in the kitchen, I constantly heard management and the staff complain about their own tables and how much they hate them.As a hostess, I was treated like garbage by the clientele despite my best efforts to please those who walked in who just wanted to grab a bite to eat (which by the way, there is always something wrong with the chicken or the ribs).My last day at work here, one of my coworkers gave me an edible and then proceeded to have me drink orange juice to “counteract” the drug. Instead, I spent my night driving home and having to pull over as I vomited everything up. All over my house as well. I spent days in bed and my own mom had to call the restaurant to tell them I wouldn’t be returning because I was unable to speak. Mind you, the waiter that gave me the drug had taken three before she went into work.
Not the best experience. We had 3 toddlers with us and the host nor did the waitress bothered to ask if we need booster seats or a high chair. The waitress was a nice woman BUT she forgot my drink and brought stuff to our table that wasnt asked for. My appetizer was lukewarm, baby backs were dry and fatty. I only ate 2 bones.. my stemmed broccoli was over cooked and deflated. My oldest son ordered a well done burger and it was pink in the middle and my husband ordered his burger medium specifiing with a little blood so that he could see that it wasnt overcooked, I was pretty much well. Our waitress took FOREVER to come back to the table.. we let her know about the burgers and she brought back the bill as if my husband ate his.. I had to ask her what we were going to do about the burger and bill. Eventually she came back without it on the bill but gosh it took about 15 mins! This week has taught me sometimes its better to stay home and cook ourselves.
COMPLETELY HORRIBLE!!! I wish I could give it 0 STARS! I am a long time customer to this applebees especially. Me and a couple friends came here and waited over 50 MINUTES for our food. I ordered spinach and artichoke dip and never received it. The service has gotten worse and worse. We were never checked on to make sure everything thing is ok. Not only for the food, but for the drink orders and bills the service was terrible. Completely horrible! Hopefully someone will make some changes!
Went to Dearborn Heights Applebees for carry out for dinner Friday. Ordered chickin and shrimp. The garlic was so heavy we burped it all night . Soo disappointed in the quality of food that I dont think I will be back to appelbees. Not the first time service was bad. Wish it was better since they are so close.
Wait staff is not good here. Hostess hesitated to seat myself and my children because none of the waitresses wanted to be sat before shift change. Once sat, the waitress was not rude but she was not a good server at all. Food took longer than 30 minutes minutes to come out. We wont be back.
The service was okay...a little wait on food. The manager Chrissy took our order. While waiting we noticed one of the waitresses with long hair stroking and pulling at her hair as she waited on customers. This was reported to the manager and the waitress had pulled some of her hair out of her face. Not long after we observed the waitress sneeze onto her wrist area and later rubbing in and around her nose in the dinning area. This same waiter brought our food to the table. My son and I, speechless, stared at each other. She gave the food to someone else to bring to our table and we immediately asked for the manager. Chrissy came over and we expressed our concerns and she offered to prepare our food for us again. It took a while and when our food was brought to our table, we requested to see Chrissy again to inform her that we feel we were served the same food. She politely and with a smile said, would I served you the same food? We said, yes. What Chrissy did not know is that we scored the steak and the chicken breast. When we asked Chrissy for the servers name that we spoke to her about, she responded, I cant pronounce her name. We got the servers name from another server and verified the name from the name tag she wore as she held the door open as we were leaving. Her name was Abby! Is that so difficult to pronounce?
I ordered dinner to go and they gave me the wrong dinner! Charged me for it and then charged me again for mine! She finally brings me my cold food and there are stuff missing! She came out with lemonade and said with life gives you lemons make lemonade! The food was great though
There was overly pink in my steak burger and my shrimp tasted gross it took a little while for them to bring the food but the waiter was nice the fries had a bad seasoning in my opinion only go here if u live close by apple bees and theres literally nowhere else that you can go
I called to order a curbside order and the phone just rung. Then it hung up on me. So I drove there and decide I’ll order there while watching the Michigan game. I ordered, mentioning items I didn’t want and told them I will be sitting at the bar. I sat for a while and decided to go to the curbside section to check for my order and wow my order was there just sitting. The guy said it had just got there but I wasn’t sure. Not only was it just sitting there but the ranch was all in my wings from the lid not shut properly and it was items like mushrooms I said I didn’t want with my order. The serve seem mad that I was dissatisfied with ranch being mixed with my wings and mushrooms with order. They have messed up a few times before but this is it. Not only do you mess up a order but kind of rude about it. I’ve even watch people that are dinning in recieve their food before me, when I ordered before them. I’m also done with this review and still haven’t received my order. Service has decline at this location
Kalynn was a great waitress. Very friendly and funny! The food was really good and steak was cooked perfectly. I could not ask for better food or service!!!Waleed, you came to the table in front of me and told them that your kitchen staff was incompetent and bad mouthed them so a lot of people heard you. I am a 30 year man in the business and I have never heard anyone throw team members under the bus the way you did. You were running around like the place was on fire. To be honest, you were the only one who looked incompetent. You came to our table 15 minutes after our order was taken by Kalynn, thinking that you were our server. If I would have had to deal with you at that point, I would have left. You need to apologize to your kitchen staff and learn your job first before calling anyone else out on their job.Thank you to everyone else for a nice afternoon :)
Warning! Long review.4 of us for dinner at 9pm last night.Restaurant was about 25% full. Had to wait for a table. When seated, there was debris all over the floor. Had to wait for a server. Eventually took our drink order including a bar order. Only one of the two alchohol beverages arrive at the table. Had to wait for the other drink. Food order was given, and 3 of the 4 food item came to table. NO FLATWARE was provided. We had to wait for an unfriendly hostess to walk by. When we flagged her down she grumbled saying we are behind, we will bring you forks when we can. Then we watched her go all over the restaurant...finally one of our guests started eating his food by hand! Eventually the hostess brought 4 forks (no knives or napkins) to our table. We were still waiting for the last meal to come to our table when the clueless server finally stopped by and asked hows everything ? Yup, manager had to come to our table to calm me down! This place is ridiculous! Not going back for a very very long time. Westland is a far better Applebees.
My mom had ribs they where dry. I had alfredo and it was dry wit no cheese. Then when I order sauce and cheese and my mom order sauce there was a extra sauce charge on my bill. The waitress was cool though. She got manager involved to remove extra charges. Who want the hassel to argue about dry food.
I went to dine in on veterans day and sat at the bar. I receive a free meal from applebees every veterans day. This is my second time at this restaurant. The staff was so friendly and checked on me often. My burger was well done but still juicy. Not too many restaurants get that right. I definitely had a great customer service experience.
My visit was horrible they need to train their wait staff better.........I ordered a appitizer and then dinner........they all came out at once so while I was eating my appitizer my food was getting cold so by time I got to my food it was ice cold so I boxed everything up to take home.........Ive worked as a waitress for 30yrs you dont put everything in at the same time! A good waitress gives her patron time to finish their apitizer first before they put the dinner in! I felted rushed for the unsatisfactory service....... Please train your waitstaff better!
Been here a few times and gets worse every time. I work at high functioning restaurant with great customer service, and this applebees is not an example of that. Terribly mismanaged, for example workers just hanging out at tables and doing cash outs in the main restaurant area by diners instead of taking care of their work in the back of house. Bartenders can’t pour a beer without half of the glass being foam, or keeping the bar stocked. The restaurant has many noticeable health code violations so i can just imagine what goes on behind the scenes, and is probably a main reason that the food is garbage. To top it all off a terrible lazy waitstaff that does not do their job, clearly visible as the restaurant is always left dirty. My recommendation is to avoid this restaurant at all cost so corporate has no choice but to clear house and fire all managers.
My first resturant review.... Just left and ordered food to go. It said the food would be ready by 717.waited for 20 minutes for cold food. The manager walked passed me twice and didnt bother to see what I was waiting for as the bartender and waitress were arguing across the room. And to top it off I found a bug in my salad and chicken. Will never return again!!
Id stopped going to Applebees due to a very unsanitary issue at one location. I was invited to go to this location after not eating at any Applebees and reluctantly went. The food was well prepared, the service was good, and there werent any foreign objects in my food as was the case previously.
This was first time eating at the Inkster location on Ford Rd. I always order their low calorie meal. I did try the Shrimp Won Tong Entree. The problem was the was too spicy(🔥), so I asked for the same dish with the sauce on the side. Otherwise, it was good. Apple Bees is still my favorite restaurant. Keep up the good work.
Ridiculus. . In a time where they need business badly this restaurant only has one table in the whole place for 5. Been waiting for 25 minutes And every other party ofAnd every other party of four or less has been coming and going. And every other party of 4 or less keeps coming and going.
Okay..this is the truth. Sometimes you just want to seat down, have a drink and have a really good meal. You want fast service, no screw ups in the kitchen and a server who wants you to be happy. This is the place that can give you what you want. Good food, a drink you want and a server who gets the food to you.
My waitress was amazing. However, the food I ordered was not good. I ordered a steak salad and my steak was not edible. It was chewy and overcooked. I also ordered a soup I didnt get. I wasnt charged for that though. Im not a big fan of Applebees. However Ive had better experiences at other Applebees restaurants.
For the 1st time I ordered the White Queso Dip with Chips appetizer it was rather tasty. My visit also included a drink special----$1.00 (One dollar) YES $1.00 Long Island Iced Tea cocktails. Despite thinking the actual cocktail was going to be nothing more than colored water I was pleasantly surprised by the quality & quantity. Staff was pleasant & the place was clean & quiet. I would DEFINITELY recommend the Applebees Dearborn Heights location.
NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATIONThey are just spoiling the brand Applebee’s. Had to wait 20 mins for the server to come to see and get us water! Then they miss placing my order with boneless wings instead of the classic combo. Again had to wait for food for 40 mins. Lol after waiting for the food had to wait 10mins for the freaking silverware. Same story with the food it sucked!
Went in for a Sunday night dinner, took forever for the waiter to get to the table waited another 20 minutes to get our drinks while 4 bartenders stood there doing nothing! Food portions were small definitely not 32$ worth of food. Seems to be a Applebees tradition bad service small portions of food and over priced drinks
Please do not go to this location they’re absolutely horrible. I get there pay for my food and the guy charges my card twice the money didn’t go back on my card for a whole day I couldn’t even get gas, then it said sign up u get a free app so I did so then the guy tells me I can’t use it till next time I come, WORSE SERVICE EVER then after ordering online it said your order is ready at 8:05 we get there and he tells us to never go by there own website time smh and we waited a extra 45 mins to get our food. I will never come back to this location EVER
Service was bad me and my wife went there waited for 30 minutes before we could be seated got appetizers and drinks ordered our food waited for it but heres the kicker waitres comes back to table and said they didnt make your food yet but do you want to take it to go or do you still want it 😤 no I paid for the drinks and left I dont know what was going on my experience at this place wasnt pleasant
Love the food and love this restaurant but every time i go to this particular applebees the service is absolutely awful. i wish i could tip these servers good but i can’t bring myself to do it because every time we’re there, they’re rude, we aren’t greeted for a long time (both at the door and at our table) and everything just takes forever between greeting us and bringing our bill.
I love the friendly staff.. game time is always fun.. mangers are great.. and the bar tenders are awesome (cud add a lil more shots..lol)!Manger Megan, bar Christina kaylynn and all my servers are wonderful! Jus spent my cousins birthday here and was treated so nice!
New manager is not working out. Last week I have 21 shimp on the all you can eat dinner. This time I got 11, so I asked for seconds and I got 6, so 18 in two tries instead of 21. Only 2 servers on the floor when almost all the tables on the east side and front were full. Waitress seemed overworked. No wonder Applebees is one of the restaurants in a list not doing well. two waitresses????? We eat there every week, but we have to find a new restaurant.

2022-03-28Definitely never coming back. The staff is super sweet but the bartender was not it. Ordered these three drinks and two out of three were not full. Now I can get over the one that’s not completely to the top but I will not excuse the one that was only filled half way. I paid full price and I expect a full cup but that was not the case. I went back to ask why they only filled it half way and the bartender said it was because they ran out of alcohol. They had told me maybe it was possible to fill it up with something else but the bartender said no because it was a 6oz and they couldn’t add anything else. I couldn’t exchange it either because the bartender would be checking out. I got there an hour before closing and it took almost 30 minutes to make the drinks. I took my drink but there’s definitely no excuse for this. Stay away from here

2021-09-17This was my first time at Applebees and I was pleasantly surprised. The food we ordered was great and the staff kept checking up on us and cleaning our tables. I recommend the bourbon shrimp. I doubled up on the shrimp instead of chicken.

2021-08-06They have plenty of parking for customers. Customer service was ok. The food was ok, but the restaurant was not the cleanest. They did not have any hand soap nor toilet paper in the restroom. I had to wash my hands with sanitizer and water. The booth we were sat next to had a ton of dead bugs in the window sill. Overall it was not a pleasant experience for me.

2022-04-15Came here with a huge group right at open at this location didnt hesitate to take us in like we were apart of their own family. Lakeysha (KC) did such an amazing job, never seemed overwhelmed and killed it! Shirley was a great side kick and the kitchen team members even came out to help pass out our food. 10/10 recommend this location! Such a great visit. The service, the food, the cleanliness. Everything on par!

2022-03-31Slow service. So much that it seemed the waitress forgot what she was there to do. When she did make it to the table she would hand us the drinks or refill and immediately leave without us getting to ask for anything or inform her on the quality of food... which was okay at best if you didnt order steak. 2 send backs and 2 hours later for a mid rare steak that came out well done is unacceptable. In order to even speak with the manager we had to call the restaurant and get them sent to the tablr. The manager made poor excuses for the new cooks and failed to check back in after the food came back out wrong. I will not go back and implore you to spend your time and money somewhere more deserving.

2019-04-24Good food. Clean restaurant. Some staff could use some work. Inexperienced staff I could over hear them talking about each other not doing their fair share of work. Some appeared to be over worked/tired. But my server was awesome. She did a good job no complaints. Food was great though. Went early around 3pm on Easter weekend. It wasnt busy. Overall it was a nice date.
