My husband & I came in tonight for a dinner date & your service, friendliness, cleanliness, great food & he was surprised to have a free Veterans Day meal & gift card. That was a perfect touch this evening. Thank you to the manager for his genuine interaction with us and thank you to our server who was friendly and quick! The atmosphere was great!
The guy working the carside orders was responsive and quick 👌🏻 But I have never had a steak so bad. I haven’t been able to eat much lately with morning sickness and I finally felt like eating a steak but my husband was out of town (he’s the steak griller). I was so hungry, I’ve been only able to eat plain crackers and noodles lately so to finally have a steak and have it be terrible was such a let down. I ordered the ribeye medium. This thing they gave me was jerky. It was tough, gray, and dry. Basically inedible but it was the only food I had.
Ive never been so disappointed. Took 10 minutes for the waitress to come by and take our drink orders, then she forgot one when she brought them to us. We asked for silverware 3 times before we finally got some, 5 minutes after our food came out, but we had to use plastic utensils because they didnt have any clean. The place wasnt even busy. Maybe had 15 people in there, including us. Was going to ask to speak to a manager but after already being in there for 2 hours, we just paid and left. We will never be returning there again. I dont know if it was just laziness or pure incompetence, but this is the worst dining experience Ive had in ages. If I could give negative stars I would.
Im so disappointed 😞 Applebees use to be our go to place but the last couple times weve went the food was either under cooked or over cooked. They changed the sauce in my favorite dish and now it tastes like garbage. Unfortunately after this past Monday, we will not be returning to Applebees.
Unfortunately Applebees has been going downhill for some time now (even before Covid). Staff typically hasnt been the issue, rather the food quality has went down, so have portions, meanwhile prices increase, and dwindling selections. Granted Covid didnt make it any easier for food establishments.Visited this location this evening. Was promptly greeted by a friendly hostess, directed to one of the many, many open tables. There were several staff members out and about the dining room. After about 10 minutes our server hollered over that he would be right over to take our orders. We then sat there and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally after 25 minutes with not so much as a drink order, we decided to go dine at another establishment. Very disappointed.
The service was awful. Our order was totally wrong, did not get the right order or a coffee refill until after we asked for the check, then the waitress acted like we won a prize for not being charged for the food we did not get. If I go there again I will ask for a different waitress
The food was decent, a bit heavy on the seasoning, but I am giving it 5 stars because of our waiter Michael! He was a sweetheart, I asked for a lemonade with strawberry and Dragon fruit, and he made it perfect! Then he was attentive without being annoying. If that resturant doesnt keep him, then they crazy, in my opinion Michael deserves a raise! I have never had better service there!
Waited a long time for our food. (People who ordered after us were about halfway done eating before we even got our food.) My son had to have his food to go because it took so long. Then the hamburger I asked to be cooked well done had pink in the middle. Probably wouldnt recommend this location...
Came in at 7:25pm on a Monday night and was seated and told our server would be with us in a minute. Waited 20+ minutes and watched 3 different sets of couples come in after us and get their drinks and appetizers and we still hadnt been greeted by our server. We left and decided to dine elsewhere. This was our first negative experience with this Applebees location. Normally its our go to restaurant.
The service was good but the food was terrible. Ordered the strawberry salad the lettuce was old so were the strawberries. The chicken was like rubber and the dressing had no taste. The breadstick was as hard as a rock. Couldn’t even eat it. Will never ever go there again.
We had Michael M. as our server. He was amazing. He was on top of everything. When he noticed that something was missing, he was always apologetic and went to see what was taking so long. When he noticed something wasn’t there but noticed it was up and ready, he didn’t walk, he ran to get it. I would recommend him to anybody.
Trey has nice gold glasses and a nice gold chain. If he drops anything he will do it better than anyone else. lol I have never seen a server in the industry move as fast as he does. Because of Trey-von we will be returning. Seriously though he is amazing. Franklin is amazing as well! Their whole staff is great. It is the best place to have a good time at.
Poor excuse for cooks I asked for my husbands steak to be well done/no pink and the first one they bring out was medium done. The waiter was great and went back and had them do another one. When that came out when we were about to leave was burnt on the outside and completely what looked like raw to me on the inside. How the hell can you burn it on the outside and not even cook it on the inside and the night manager acted like it was just another complaint that they have gotten before
I would have given it five, but the cleanliness of a restaurant is a big deal for me. I thought it could have been a little cleaner because when you clean off a table for the next guest the floor is supposed to be included. There were a lot of crumbs and french fries underneath our table. The divider next to our table could also use a cleaning. A good deep cleaning for this restaurant I think would do the job. Over all, the waitress was great and the food was delicious, except Ill have to ask for my Shirley Temple to be served with Maraschino Cherries and more grenadine and top it off with an umbrella. I would definitely go back.
I had ordered through their website for a delivery order. When I went to hit place order, it gave me an error message like the order didn’t go through. So, I went to their website again and my order was completely gone. So, I did end up submitting the order again and when I received my order noticed that the original order did end up going through. I was left with two of the same orders. I contacted DoorDash (customer service was great) and they said since I ordered through Applebee’s website I had to contact their store. I spoke with the manager Jeff, who was very nice and understanding of the situation. He ended up giving me a refund back to my card and was super helpful.I have worked in the restaurant industry for 8 years and I always hate being that person! I also would of gladly dropped off the food and give it back as I don’t know what I’m going to do with all this food lol, but I had a baby sleeping which is why I ordered delivery. My family has gone to this Applebee’s many times and no issues. Customer service was great and manager was super helpful of the situation!
Our waitress was extremely unprofessional, and obsessive.A young couple was sitting in a booth and our waitress was at their table almost every minute. Pestering them.She forgot half of my order. And only came to my table 4 times. And once i had to raise my voice to get her attention. 1.This included bringing us the menu. 2. Bringing our drinks. 3. Bringing us our meal. 4. I had to raise my voice. To get the bill.And sense i paid with a digital prepaid card, she grabbed my phone out of my hand and walked away with it.
Went on Mothers day. Place was packed. They had already run out of several menu items. It took about forty minutes for our food to come out. Before our appetizers did. My mothers steak was tough. Several dishes were cold. All around it wasnt good. Our waitress was great though, and the manager sympathetically discounted the bill. Its a fine place on a average day, just dont go on a holiday.
Well Ill say the food was good. Good job cooks. We did curb side to go, and the first time they came out they missed two entrees. No problem, called the number on the sign, asked for the remainder of our meal. Manager came out, let us know shed packed our bags herself, and that we had our food. So we rifled through the bags, cuz hey, maybe wed misidentified what we had, things happen. But nope, still only half our order. She goes in to check, some minutes pass, out comes one of the missing entrees. Just one. The staff inside and I make eye contact, and I shake my head. The manager comes out again and insists that we have our food. Again, we do not. She says she already gave it to us. We show her the bags, offer to let her search our car, genuinely inquire as to where we would of put it. If we were gonna try to get a free meal, wouldnt we be trying to get another steak? She finally agrees to go get us the entree (a salad, btw) - or in her words, another salad. Some 10/15 minutes later, 30 mins after we initially arrived on time, we finally got our complete order, and headed out.I would not be surprised at all if the gentleman in the car next to us when we got our initial round of meals isnt terribly surprised when he gets home with a salad and a chicken sandwich.I just wanted my food. I didnt ask for a discount, I didnt throw a fit. I understand it was a busy time (5:30 on a Saturday night) and stuff happens. Ive been a line cook. My husband is a line cook. I just wanted the remainder of my order. 2/10, wont ever go to that applebees for a car side to go ever again, because apparently I will toss a salad out the window/eat it blindingly fast and demand another. I just do not know where she thought I was putting it. I dont mean to screw up their times or overhead. I just want what I paid for. And perhaps less aggression when I ask for it.
Bar tender needs to stay in the bar to wait on customers, because when they leave to help waitresses that are as motivated as others in there job... They neglect there bar customers. I am a very patient man, but lately my patients has been tested when Ive asked for another drink and im told ill get right with you, just to see over 10 drinks get put in after my drink order and filled before mine is making me wait a long time for a refill. This is ridiculous and unprofessional. Also. I dont see anyone washing there hands in between taking my order at the bar, and cleaning someone elses DIRTY DISES at there table!!! HELLO!! COVID19 IS STILL IN EFFECT and what the government isnt telling anyone is that, 48,000 people have DIED from getting the shot!! Florida is the worst of it. Wake up people. The shot was only 74% effective to start with.WASH YOUR HANDS OR SHUT DOWN BC YOU ARE NOT STERLE!!!!!! Thanks for putting all of your customers in harms way. Also dealing with money and not washing your hands!!! Way to go. Caroline and Frank both are in violation of this!!!
Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We made a reservation for a large table but upon arriving the hostess told us our table had been taken by another party and pushed to make a larger area. When asked if we could do the same with a smaller table we were told no because of covid. We agreed to wait and waited over an hour before being informed (after going to find the hostess) that they would be unable to seat us . We decided to order to go and the food was cold and hard , The steaks bloody and undone . Very unhappy with my overall experience and will never be returning .
I waited for about 40 minutes in the curbside takeout parking. I saw people who showed up after me get their meals before me. I was only there to pickup an order yet in the amount of time u spent waiting I could have eaten a meal and a half. I called and asked what the situation with the meal was, and Emily told me over the phone that they were “getting the meal ready to bring out now.” It was another 10 minutes before I got my food.
We went in there late night for the appetizer special at 10pm. The place was loud - music blaring and seemed as if the workers were having a little party of their own - and the majority of the customers appeared as if they all knew the workers quite well who were also joining in on the big party. Serving us seemed to be secondary to the staff - not impressed. The food was okay, but the uncomfortable atmosphere detracted from the food.UPDATE 6/10/2019: I used the carside to go option - apparently the restaurant has undergone a series of managerial transitions - the waitress that brought the food out explained that it is back to its original high quality at this point. The food I ordered was quite good.
Even though they were out of the Salmon my experience was AMAZING... for me I care more about customer service... Gabriella greeted us in a warning way upon arrival and sat us in the section of Camryn... Camryn’s service was STELLAR, not only was she the only waitress but she was also working theto-go curbside pickup also... she was very professional and polite... I definitely recommend you to ask for her personally... I really enjoyed this experience...
Waited over a half hour past pick up time for to go order. Got home to eat my well done steak, when I stuck my fork in it blood came running out and I thought it was going to go running off mooing across my yard. Disgusting not impressed. Unfortunately I went back to have a new one made at least this was almost well done. The one half I got to eat was decent, the other pure gristle could not chew or cut through. If this is the best meat you can get you should take it off your menu and stick to burgers. Last time I get a steak from here
Disappointed! We weren’t greeted, which was a first. I don’t think I’ve ever not been greeted within the first minute of walking in. Our server was terrible. Came back to take our order 15 minutes after he brought our drinks, didn’t check on our food until probably 15-20 minutes after we had that and then my food was cold and when I told him he didn’t even apologize. The food didn’t taste fresh and it took 3 requests to get a Togo box. I will not be going back anytime soon. All of this from someone who usually can let things slide and goes with the flow. Today was just too much for one dining experience.
Went to the Gull Road location for dessert last night. Service at the door was friendly and fast virtually no waiting to be seated. Our server was polite and friendly and knowledgeable of what was on the menu. And though it was pretty busy it wasnt too busy. She spent the right amount of time at each table, anticipated our needs and was there with our drinks before we needed to ask for a refill but gave us our space as well. Something that you would think isnt that hard to do but take it from me some wait staff just do not get it right. Either in your face every few minutes or not there at all, she was great though! I ordered the Butter Pecan Blondie, which was fabulous. A hot Blondie on a sizzling plate with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream with caramelized pecans (and for some reason slivered almonds) and a small cup of warm maple glaze to drizzle over the top, so good! My husband ordered the Brownie, which looked pretty good too just a little too much chocolate for my taste last night. It looked really good though, a plate with two thick fudgey triangles of Brownie with two small scoops of vanilla ice cream on either side and a generous drizzle of chocolate sauce over the top of it all. Short visit, but all in all a good one.
Love eating here with my family. Occasionally they get our order wrong, but the majority of the time theyve been correct. Other than those couple times, the food is always delicious, service is always great, and we will definitely be back!! Also, the margaritas are some of the best in town here.
There should be a spot for no stars because thats all this place is. We were seated right away and the greeters were nice but we sat there for 15 minutes and still no drinks so we hit the call server button. The two greeters just were standing there and talking. After 10 more minutes we finally left and the greeters tried to say have a great day. So we replied with that we say there for over twenty minutes and didnt even get seen onc . This is a horrible restaurant. They kept seating people but nobody was going to ask for their drinks or anything.
They r following the rules there! Our waitress was especially nice and friendly! The only thing was table still wet from cleaning when we sat down! Food was ok a little burnt but we waited quite a while for our food as most people were still ordering food to go. Everyone including customers were wearing masks which is always a plus!
Upon arrival our table was dirty. Our waiter was extremely preoccupied and inattentive even after he brought my lemonade with a big floating in it. When our food arrived my steak was to be medium well meaning a slight strip of pink and the manager decided to argue with me about a steak that I regularly eat. Also my date.ordered fajitas that are supposed to come to the table sizzling and we could touch the plate no problem. He did not offer any type of compensation outside of remaking the food that I did not have time to wait for because I have children. Worst experience ever and I love apple Bees never again the one on gull rd
Young girl was plain rude as was the manager/asst. manager as we entered the restaurant. Seats are filthy! Old food such as pickles, fries, and chicken crumbs in seats. They are more concerned about masks for Covid but not properly cleaning the seats and tables. Place has changed from a few years ago. Issues with high chairs for children, however, once we were seated the highchairs sti were not 6ft away from other guests. Ill never come back here, this Applebees was just convenient coming from Gull Meadows Farm on a Saturday afternoon. I usually tip 25% for good service, but in this case Im not sure what to do in this situation.
Met family from out of town for late lunch. 8 people all together. Was there for 2hrs . Hubby picked up the check. The table tipped the waitress 40 %. She was kind and I didnt want her to lose money on us being there for so long. Aisle way was tight, but a very good visit.
My experience at Applebees was not a good one again we asked for a steak to be well well done it wasnt it was raw extra mushrooms we didnt get extra mushrooms what back and got the food replace didnt even get a sorry about it at all I think we might be done going to Applebees
Food was not good. Steak was tough, fries were greasy. Got the apple fritter dessert, so disappointed. Fritter had no flavor. My daughter ordered the chicken Alfredo and the chicken breast was cold. Not even sure it met temp before being served. Wont be going back any time soon ☹️😞😔
This place is usually good. Its generally fast, friendly, & clean. However, today when I went, it wasnt quite so. We received four separate dishes that were dirty: a plate with old food on it, two glasses with who-knows-what on them, and a fork with some sort of green-something caked to it. Im not usually too critical of restaurants, having worked in several myself, but four dirty dishes in one meal (of two people) is where I draw the line. Consider replacing your dishwasher at this location, Applebees.
Had to give at least one star to write a review do not go to this place I had to get up to refills and napkins. Food what a joke, half my meal was not ordered, my daughters came out partially cold, some of my husbands fries came out right from the actual fryer, soaked in fried oil and hard. Customers pay for food and service.
My wife had to get up and go to the bar with all of our cups to get us refills. She had to go to one of the stations for the waitresses to get us napkins. She ordered a steak that was not cooked properly and grilled shrimp which she never got until after she had finished her meal and everybody else did too. My daughter got mac and cheese which was cold when it was brought out to the table I will never return to this Applebees again and I dont recommend it.
Ive been going to this Applebees for years being its down the road from my residence. Only reason Im giving three stars is because I love their wings! Unfortunately on three separate occasions, Ive had an issue with the food. Im not exactly sure what was wrong with my steak but there was a string like object in it that resembled a worm. Management reassured that was not the case and maybe thats true but it definitely made me lose my appetite! Then I also had an issue with undercooked chicken twice. They did give me 20% off the entire check and credited that meal the last time we ate there but I felt they could have credited the entire check due to possibility of getting sick! Other than that, the food is usually decent. I just feel management could do better to correct issues & make customers want to return!
Well One of the waitresses told me sorry for the wait I was On my union weed break, The food certainly tasted like it was made by stoners, It took over a hour for them to serve my meal. I was not pleased with the wait time, However it was busy. I asked how long my food was going to be. She told me the microwave was broken since someone Tried to microwave brownie bake in a tin foil and Blew the microwave up, So they actually have to cook the steak correctly Her comment implied that the place really doesnt have a quality of standard for food. Advise to stay away since they hire addicts and microwave cook steak.
Tonight we ordered from Applebee’s. My last order was right on the mark!! Tonight, ordered three hamburgs. Mine was swimming and dripping in grease. I said no pink, mine was pinkish red. My husbands was swimming in grease. Dripped off it, ran down his hands. I used three paper towels and only took three bites. My granddaughter’s order was missing one thing she really wanted. Ranch dressing. I did order it. I just couldn’t eat mine So let down with dinner!!
Visited New Years Eve night. First of all our appetizer and loaded mash potatoes was very delicious! My wine glass when first served had a lipstick print on it. I ordered the half ribs with 6oz steak Why didnt I get any cole slaw? I know I asked if it could be subbed with salad which I was told no, but I didnt say I didnt want any? The steak I asked to cook medium, I got medium well. It was extremely gristley and flavorless. My husband got the ribs which he said was barely warm. And we both agreed that the steamed broccoli was way over cooked and had a mash potatoe texture. And the Bartender/server didnt seem to be happy to be there from start to finish. Everyone else seem to be very pleasant though.Very disappointed this time!
Always have a good time at Applebees appetizers are larger than usual food is cooked two specifications, great area for watching sporting events list of all types dining area and bar tables available. Large selection of beverages you sure. Place was very clean restrooms and could order walkway with shoveled and salted. All in all had a very good time.
I have NEVER walked out on a bill in my life. Tonight was a first. The guy even had the nerve to come outside and confront us, after yelling, have a good night guys from across the restaurant to taunt us. As soon as we sat down, we were told that it was last call. We walked in at 10:10 pm, we were not told about any appetizer offers, drink specials or anything else. Rushed the entire time. Whoever William is, keeprocking it dude. You were so polite to your customers I even yelled at you in the parking lot that I would have LOVED TO HAVE HIM WAIT ON ME. We will never be back to this establishment because of our waiter. I dont know his name but he was African American and never told it to us.
Asked for a medium 8oz steak and got a well done 6 oz steak that was cold. The waiter never came back and checked on us after he brought us our food. We got up to leave and walked thru the whole restaurant trying to figure out where to pay the bill at which time a waitress from across the dining room got our waiters attention and only then he got up and took my money for the bill. I did not leave a tip for this waiter. With this kind of service I may never eat at applebees again.
We rarely visit this location but when we do we are quickly reminded why we dont visit. Long waits for food. Waited an hour for 2 salads and 3 kids meals (burgers and chicken tenders). However, the manager removed 1 salad because they forgot a few toppings and also took off $5 for the long wait. Midway through our meal the manager came back and offered us free desserts which we accepted and soon regretted due to waiting an additional 20 minutes for that as well. After just over 2 hours we received our bill of $3.05 for 3 sub par kids meals and 2 regular salads. Most likely will never visit again.
Today was our 2nd anniversary and I requested something special too be wrote in chocolate with our desert and the manager and servers did an amazing job, on top of that the curbside pickup was ready to go as soon as I pulled in and the food tastes great. the team at the gull rd. Food was ok. One of our burgers were extremely undercooked, but they fixed it. But damn! It is flipping COLD in there! Need to turn the A/C down in there!!! This has been consistent between two separate visits several weeks apart. Didnt get drink order until about 10 mins after seating. Manager noticed we werent being served and stepped in.
They are very bad at judging pickup times. They will be really quick every now and then and your food will be cold. Or you could be waiting up to 30 minutes past your pickup time. This is not an exaggeration!New menu is also just ok versus a few years ago. Personal preference I guess.
Med and well done steaks had puddle of blood underneath and pink inside. The med i can see but not that both were rare. Steamed broccoli was tasty but cold. Garlic mashed potatoes were warm. Disappointed that small salad wasnt a choice for two sides. Manager comped the meal. First impressions are everything.
It wasnt like the experiences Ive had at the location on West Main and Westnedge. Maybe it was just an odd day. My order was wrong, I never got a refill, it was a slow day so there wasnt anyone at the front to greet us. Idk it just seemed off. Im sure its not usually like this.
Sat right away. Waited 10 plus minutes to be approached. Asked the host about a server. Manager told server to grab us waters. Server never came. Manager grabbed us waters. Manager asked server to take our order. Server never came. Manager took our order. Food came fast. No one checked on us. Last time coming blegh
The past two times Ive been here, one lunch, one dinner, one Wednesday, one Friday, the service has been horrible. The lunch I had to get a box when my food finally arrived and was still 15 minutes late returning to work. The dinner, when our food finally arrived (a solid 45 minutes after ordering, and they were NOT busy) it was cold and had to be redone. The second time it was done in about 6 minutes. What happened the first time around? We had to ask the bartender for water refills - it was just bad, bad service. It may be a long while before I return to this location, if ever. Ill have to hear some beaming reviews before I waste my time again.
Waited an hour to get sat down.Ordered a draft let it sit for a couple minutes was only half full.Waiter said that there not supposed to fill this cup full I dont it was a Lions cup? Had a speaker right above were I sat was with my family couldnt hardly here them talk,asked him three times to turn it down before he finally did Wont be going back there again!!
Lately our family dining experience at this particular Applebees has not been good at all! Im not sure if they are under new management or just a turn over in staff, but service has been slow, no checking on drink refills, etc. Tonight my husband ordered the new bottomless bar-b-que riblets and when our food finally came out, the server asked if he would like her to put in a refill for him. He said yes. Over 20 minutes later, the refill comes out and theres less than half the original portion. The server looked at the plate and automatically asked if she should start another refill (thats how apparent it was). After waiting almost 30 minutes for the next refill, we paid the bill and left. I think we will be taking a break from this location for a while. 👎👎
Thomas was great greated me with a positive attitude. My 1/2 rib and chicken combo was absolutely amazing the ribs were fall of the bone the chicken was juicy . Oh let me not forget about my Åmäzîñg server Austin getting the job done with quick service and an great since of humor
Saturday night, was our 2nd disappointing visit in a week to the Gull Road resturant, in Kalamazoo MI. 1st: i had the Chicken won ton tacos; they were horrible! Chicken had no flavor and it did not have the usual dressing on the coleslaw. My husband had the Burbon Street Steak which was good except it was medium well rather then medium rare. 2nd: 3 of us. Guest ordered Onion Rings-burnt and chi ken Alfrefo-fine. Husband again the Burbon Street Steak. This time medium rare but so much grizzle our dog had dinner. I had the Nurbon Street burger-burnt. No nothing was sent back as, we were headed to a performance.
The waitress Pagie was fantastic, only thing I didnt enjoy was the 4 cheese noodles w/bacon that I got as one of the two sides with my stake. They tasted mushey like they been sitting in water all day and reheated in a mircrowave and they didnt taste at all like cheesey goodness like I was hoping for. Stake and broccoli was awesome. My fiance got the fireball burger and he loved it. My kiddo had a simple burger with some apple dippers and enjoyed every bite. Plan on making a weekly trip for date with the family.
My friends and I are treated like complete crap by the Host everytime we go in. It is NOT a friendly place. The only good person there is Heather, the server. She is so nice and the best Applebees will ever have. The host have called my friends and I by many innapropriate words.
Standard Applebees menu and quality food... substandard service more often than not. From servers shadily asking to fill out your customer experience survey for you at the end of the meal, to rude, unattentive servers who had to be stared down from across the dining area to refill my girlfriends soda and acted like our presence was a huge bother interrupting her from flirting and socializing with a table of college kids, to servers forgetting your appetizer and bringing it out after the entree. Be prepared to be underwhelmed.
We called the restaurant to confirm that they were going to have the WMU football game on television, which they did. But after most of the crowd thinned out we asked if they could put the audio on our game and not the world series. There were two other people in the restaurant, and we had a party of four that had meals, appetizers, drinks, and desserts. We were told that there were bar patrons that were watching the world series. Lets just say that this decision cost them hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in sales.
Visited on 5/15/18 - I am not sure if this restaurant only, but if you are hungry, stay away. Then portions served are ridiculously for children. I order 8oz Top Sirloin Stake with Mashed Potatoes with Streamed Broccoli. The broccoli count was 7 (2 of those fair size, the rest small) and a small ice cream coup size of mashed potatoes. I got out hungry, went to Arbys and bought 3 Chicken Piece to get filled. I am skinny by the way. Not coming back for sure.
I love working at Applebees I love the people there I love the management Miles is my favorite he is the best in everything he does I have no complaints on anything there as me being an employee for over the 9 years of being there Im happy were Im at and is to continue being the best worker there..also I love working with thomas,mat, & Rachel there are all the best...team work is all I know😍
We are extremely dissapointed on how the food platters have diminished in size. Portions have gotten really small over the last year. Especially the appetizers such as the Spinach and Artichoke dip. I think Applebees corporate have reduced size portions in a effort to increase profitability and their bottom line. For the pricing we will no longer visit Applebees and recommend everyone we know not to as well. You probably will go away still hungry. Applebees has a lot of competition that are willing to give you more for your money. Applebees shoud not reduce their portions for their bottom line. This instead will drive customers away. There are plenty of other ways to increase their profitability and keep customers happy.

2022-02-10Yesterday we ordered car side to go. The guy whom took our order Darby is excellent at his job and so kind! Hes great at remembering previous customers. And the food was amazing! Im a repeat customer and I love the service on Gull rd. Alex the manager, hes got a great personality and kindness with talking to customers. I also love Darbys unique style. So stylish and fashionable.

2022-06-25Been here a few times. Sometimes the food is not good and not even very warm, sometimes its hot. Usually seated quickly and get your food within about 20 minutes of ordering. Shark bowls are amazing!

2022-03-23Applebees food is trash. Its all frozen and pre made garbage. They actually served me a steak that had been microwaved instead of grilled, undercooked chicken, cold soggy fries and more. Its hit or miss honestly. Ive had great meals there and Ive had terrible ones.

2020-02-02Friends met for late night cocktails and appetizers on a Friday night. Appetizers are half price after 10 pm. We are obsessed with the Chicken Wonton Taco app so that’s what I always get. The $1 drink for the month was tasty. My entire bill was $7.49 before tip with an app and 3 drinks! I gave 4 stars, though it’s a corporate decision and does not reflect on this location, because they have basically no vegetarian entrees on their menu. One of us is a vegetarian and always gets stuck with an appetizer or a dessert because of no dinner choices. The rest of us love the half price apps and drinks and this Gull Road location is our favorite one in Kalamazoo.

2021-12-27Applebees is always dependable. Havent had a bad meal at any of them Ive visited. The skill of the servers often vary, (throughout the chain), and on this occasion we were served by one of the best. Nice personable young man with a few tasteful tattoos who has the right instincts to be attentive without being interrupting.I also like the variety of Applebees menu. Weather Im after something casual like a burger or a real dinner I always find something to please me. Of course having the option of something from the bar is a nice plus. But I must say my desert was too big for me to finish. No always a bad thing.

2021-12-13Came in on Saturday for dinner with my parents after a long day at work. Our server was Emily and she was an absolute gem! She was super friendly, funny and took care of everything we needed. 10/10 service on her part we will definitely be back because of her! Food was good with affordable drinks, can’t go wrong.

2021-09-23Service was AMAZING! We had a party of 5 which they were able to accommodate easily. Waitress was personable and efficient. The appetizers (mozzarella cheese sticks, chips n salsa, and spinach artichoke dip) was done very well. The shrimp was delicious but the chicken was a bit dry. Family said steak was decent and the beef dip was perfect. The only reason for the reduction in stars was the chicken and the silverware/plates were not cleaned well. Even with another set..probably a dishwasher issue, but makes me nervous when eating at a new place. Overall would probably rate 4.5 if a half was allowed. I’ll try again next time I’m in Kalamazoo.
