Was very disappointed with all of our meals. I have not been there in a while. Childs hamburger was bad for the price and what you get on the bunHamburger was so small on a regular size bun. I got oriental salad not much salad lot of carrots. Service not real bad. You need to rethink of what you are making for your costumers. Will not be back!!
4 went for dinner before inspire theater production. All where extremely pleased. Tim who seated us. Deborah who cared for us. Outstanding. My salmon was to perfection. Brocc oli so fresh.my little dessert for less than 2.00 was just enough. Will definitely go back. Everyone s game was on
I dont know why I torture myself with this place. Everytime my friend and I go, its either food not right or bad service. Last night was both. First our waitress was unattentive. I asked for extra napkins as my one and only landed on the floor. Also, straws, which she had on her pocket. My friends steak was over cooked. She went to go to the kitchen with said steak and I had to stop her for a straw. Never brought any napkins. I saw a roll of paper towel by the front door and grabbed some. As I was complaining to my friend about the service, an assistant manager overheard me. I told her that the waitress could be more attentive and less chatty with her coworkers. At that moment that was exactly what she was doing. We were assured that she would be talked to. Next thing we had an abundance of napkins. My friends steak came after some time and ate some of it. She asked the waitress for a box. Next came the box and the bill. We were never asked if we wanted dessert or another cocktail. BAM! We have been dismissed! WOW! Paid said bill and on our way out told the manager. She was too preoccupied with guests coming in and pretty much dismissed us also! Im done. Never again with this Applebees!
This place is really horrible . Everything is slow and ever slow . They goofed up the order and no attention to guests and the chicken was burnt. They missed wife’s order and we were just waiting . Will never come back to this place again .the manger we spoke to is equally horrible didnt bother to fix and was not even sorry that they goofed up our family dinner , the first one after covid . They burnt my sons chicken , who left without eating . Our food was too oily .Avoid this Applebee’s in Westland , Michigan on warden and Central Park Intersection.
My server Amanda didnt do well at all. My son ordered a burger with mozz Stix and he got fries instead. I asked for my burger no tomatoes no lettuce crispy fried onions. It came with all the veggies on it and grilled onions for some reason. Asked for a remake it came back with the garden still on it but the fried onions...I didnt ask for a remake again just got a box for my wife and son and we calmly left and gave Ms. Amanda a note stating how wrong our food was TWICE and didnt leave any tip. We wont be back to this location for a while
Overall an okay experience besides the fact that my mother and I sat at the bar and witnessed a woman clipping and filing her finger nails at the open bar…which is very unsanitary…a nail could of landed in food, drink or person. We told the manager and were told that it would be addressed but wasn’t.
My husband and I have been coming to applebees for years. This location is awesome from the décor to the customer service I have no complaints. They have local décor all over the walls that represent the metro Detroit area. I have awesome deals and always have discounts on my favorites. They offer a veterans discount which is always great but overall the restaurant is not expensive. This location is very easy to see from the street it sits on the corner of warren and central city Parkway. Our waiter Kearsin was very helpful and had great customer service! The bathrooms are always clean and well lit. I would recommend this place to anyone. They have a great selection for vegans, kids, and picky eaters. This place is great for groups or dining alone. Right now they have a special .25 boneless wings and they are gooooodd! I tried the $1 drink they offer this month and of course it was delicious!
Went out for some food after a show, food was alright. My friend and I had the Lime Chicken, we thought it was okay. Our other friend had the Ribs with Green Beans and Fries, he really enjoyed his food and took some home with him. The drinks were good, I had a Shark Bite drink. The service was great, specially being late at night all the employees were still pumped up.
This used to be my go to spot when I lived in Michigan and worked nearby, im in town for a while so thought Id stop by.The food was great and service was fast, Ill be coming back a few more times before I leave Michigan and head back home, hopefully my server Zaynah will be working she was phenomenal, and very attentive and knew the menu thoroughly, and helped me out since I havent been here in so long. Highly recommended a good place to eat.
Came here for dinner with my bestfriend, her family and in-laws after their churchs Good Friday service. We arrived about 830pm and surprisingly didnt have to wait long for them to be able to accommodate our party of 8... less than 5 minutes! The hostesses werent that friendly, but to be fair they appeared to be in high school. Our server was friendly nice and very friendly towards the 3 children we had with us. Our drinks came quickly, and even though it was a busy Friday night, were didnt have to wait long for our food. Im a pescatarian and I ordered the Thai Shrimp Salad (first time ever)...it was phenomenal! I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes shrimp and/or may be trying to eat healthier. The only issue with the night was getting our change/receipts back after we paid. What normally takes a moment or two took almost 10 minutes because the server mixed up the bills and charged the wrong credit cards. She was very apologetic once she returned. Overall, not a bad night!
Really good time there. Usually there isnt a problem at Applebees. Service is usually nice, waiters/waitresses are attentative, they check up often enough to make sure you drink is filled and that you dont need anything else. If you go on a week day there are a lot less people.
Nobody verifies the order, so the order is always wrong or made wrong. The kids chicken cheese quesadilla is basically a tortilla shell with 5 shreds of cheese and 2 pee size pieces of chicken. The Whisky bacon burger came without bacon. Fajita dinner didn’t have sour cream with it like normally i thought when you order anything fajita, it comes with sour cream, so I had to make a special trip to the store in order to eat my food. you have to pay like $1 extra for sauce for onion rings or fries. I just was not impressed at all. I keep trying them and I keep being disappointed every single time.From now on we’re going to a different location.
Waited over 30 minutes for our first drink, wrong appetizer came out and our server disappeared. Never coming back. The host seemed to be on high on some type of drug and asking us personal questions unrelated to dinner. Strange people, strange place. Avoid at all costs!
Bummed that my Carside to Go order took 30 minutes longer than the time I was told to come and pick it up :(Also, once I was home I discovered that the side item was missing...I know, not smart of me to not check before I left. So I called the restaurant and was put on hold, for 10 minutes and the call hung up, not good customer service!Good food as usual, but missing food.
Turns out all applebees are horrible. Look up the leaked email. Thats what they think of the workers. The people who handle our food. No thank you. I want the workers who make and handle our food treated like the humans they are, and that includes fair wages for fair work
As soon as me and my friend walked in the door at 11:15 I met eyes with a scrawny little man who may have been the manager. He looked straight at us and said we stopped sitting for the night. I said but there is 45 minutes left. He just stared at us. Won’t be coming here again.
I’ve visited this location on two different occasions. My first visit was in the evening and my second visit was during the early afternoon. I gave them slack for it being a bit busier during the evening on my first visit, but my second visit solidified my thoughts on this particular location. The staff is non attentive, and lacks in all aspects of customer service. I will not be returning.
Horrible. Got a steak for 20$ When it arrived i could tell by looking at it that it was frozen and just thrown on a grill to warm it up. You cant fool people who know steak. It was brown and the water from when it was thawed totally ruins it. Extremely tough and chewy. No seasoning at all. Not even salt and pepper. Shockingly bad. Will be spending 5 dollars more and going to Longhorns across the street from now on. The owners should be embarrassed. Stop ripping people off. Do not go here
So Applebees food was Applebees food. Good never great. What I was impressed by, was the fact that they were the only place in Westland that I called (like, four other places before I landed here) that could accommodate 9 people. I tried making reservations online early, but I kept hitting snags there as well. Anyways. On to the wait staff. I wish I could remember her name, because she was great. Like above and beyond great. We gave her a great tip to go with that great service. I have never tipped a person so much, that I wasnt hitting on. Lol! Anyways. Good cap to a great day.
After such a long day of work, Christmas shopping and trying to find a place to eat. The Applebees in Westland, Mi was truly the highlight of my busy day. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating, our Server Tim was remarkable!!!! He was training at the time of our service, he was professional, attentive, and a pleasure to have. I highly recommend you come to this location and request Tim!!! Keep up the phenomenal work!! I will be back!!!!
If I could put zero stars I would. Yesterday we ordered from DoorDash and they forgot half our order. When I called, Michelle tried to blame it on the delivery service. I reminded her that THEY should look through every to go order before bagging it. The person delivering the meal ALSO should have checked. Two times it could be checked to make sure the order was all there and neither Applebee’s nor DoorDash bothered to check. Michelle gave us a credit on our whole meal because I had nothing to eat.We ordered tonight to use the credit, this time my significant other picked it up. I ordered a kids macaroni and cheese with chicken (we’ve ordered it from other locations) Michelle said ok yes children’s macaroni and cheese with chicken. We received A SIDE PORTION Kraft macaroni seen below.I’ve worked the hospitality industry my whole life. If an upset customer gives you the time of day to come back, you make sure they leave happy. I dont know what Michelle thinks a kids order of chicken Macaroni with cheese should look like, but this is unexplainable. If it’s not offered at your location, help the customer!! I will never return to this location and I will be sure to tell the women’s groups I’m in about this too.
We went for lunch and had a great time. Great service and great food. Took a little longer than expected to get our meals, but not too long to complain. It looks freshly remodeled with a very clean and moderm atmosphere. Loved the juke box that played through speakers around restaurant.
I had a great experience at this Applebees! My waiter Armonte was the most friendly and accommodating server I have ever had! The food came out fast and just right! Even the other staff member Donia who helped bring my party the food was incredibly friendly. I will definitely be back!
27 minute wait in spite of 30+ open tables and very slow night, didnt have my first or second entree choices. I got the French dip sandwich, it was very like subway except smaller portions. My date liked the Caesar salad ok though. Another LONG wait for the check. Dont know why this place is still here.
This Applebees was good, I worded it that way because to be honest Im not really a big fan as a whole. Our server Alexis was decent and although we had to coa h her on some of our obvious dining needs such as water refills, she was pleasant and fairly attentive.The food was hot and pleasant. I decided to order using Applebee’s online which used my nearest location, Westland. Ordering online was easy and fast. I got a text quickly about when my order would arrive and who my driver was. I could track the delivery however there was no pertinent info other than that. My doorbell rang and I waited a minute before opening bc I have a large intimidating dog. When I opened a girl was getting into her car I waved but she pulled off not noticing. I quickly suspected something was wrong bc I had not ordered a drink and there was one left. I brought it in to see if maybe I had mistakenly ordered a drink but I noticed the receipt had a different name and total. I immediately called the number on the receipt to see if they could contact the driver. I was told my Applebee’s it was an issue with DoorDash to contact them. Unless you use the DoorDash app to order they have no history and therefore cannot rectify the situation. There was no contacting them at all. So I called Applebee’s back a second time to see if they could actually help, all I really wanted was my food. Again they said since they use door dash as a delivery service I would have to contact door dash. I called Applebee’s main customer service and spoke to someone very kind. After speaking to him I called the Westland store back to just see if I could get a refund bc now my food would have been cold somewhere else and I would have had to reorder and waited another half hour and possibly have the same issue. No thanks. The lady I spoke to said “oh, the first person you spoke to refunded your money already.” Thank you for that but maybe telling me they were going to do that would have helped. Now ai have to wait 3-5 days for that money to go back into my account and I am stuck with someone’s unappetizing salmon. Moral of the story, if you are going to use a third party service make sure you cover your own bases. I didn’t order through them, it’s just as much on you Applebee’s.
So we went for the happy hour appetizers, mostly boneless wings. It I guess they changed it so the wings arent part of the deal. Then they were out of mozzarella cheese sticks. So we did the 2 for 20 (I mean 2 for 22) the price went up. For being not that busy, probably 10%, the food took a long time to get. Then had to send the hamburger back because it wasnt cooked enough. The 2nd time still wasnt enough.I dont blame them, they are short handed like everyone else but wasnt my best experience. Ill try again in a few months.
Average Applebees experience. The wait was really long for our to-go order. Steak was so overdone, very tough. The sad part was they packed our ice cream in with all the hot food (literally in a sealed container alongside hot sides).. obviously by the time we got home, we didnt have ice cream anymore. Everything but the ice cream was certainly edible.
I ordered a carside to go... got my food, went home opened up the boxes ready to eat and both of the burgers i ordered , buns were very hard and burnt to a crisp!! I cant even believe they would think it is ok to put that in a box and serve it. ABSOLUTLY awful. Called up there and spoke to the manager on duty, she offered me a $25 gift card but i will most likely not use it at that location ! Very unhappy!
40 min wait for me and my daughter. Asked for a booth when I put my name down. Get called to be sat the bar with my 7yr. We don’t get a kids menu, service is poor to the min you walk in the door down to the food. Literally get sat and asked are you ready to order. Can we not have a few mins to look at the menu anymore. We never got our appetizers and when I said something she basically blamed me and the way my daughter ordered. My chicken came out raw, my broccoli was mushy, she never stopped by to ask us for refills. Brought the check and didn’t even ask why I didn’t eat my meal just said top copy is yours have a goodnight. Westland Applebee’s has become pretty sad. Spend your money somewhere else.
The customer service was okay slow but steady. The quantity of food I received was like a childrens plate. Not enough of ANYTHING 😞😔!!! I received cold and dark fries with my meal 😒 so nasty!!! I returned my order and received the same fries full of oil in the inside of them 🤢🤕. I cant see myself spending my hard earned coins at that Applebees never again 🙃😑😒!!! Go at your own risk!!!
When I first walked in to get a table for our 5 person party, I was greeted by a friendly young lady and she helped us put our number in so she could text us when our table was ready. When we got the text that our table was ready, she was amazing and already had menus in hand to walk us over to our seats. The guy that was serving us was super polite, constantly checked on us, delivered amazing service, and he even brought us refills without us having to ask for them. Everybody loved their food. I am always extremely satisfied here.
I placed an on-demand to go order for several people. The staff was super friendly and patient (allowing me to run back out to the car ask my guests for substitutes) The $5 pre-measured margarita could have had more tequila, but not complaining. The food arrived quickly and was correctly made. Will definitely go again.
Paige the hostess is the most’es, she was so polite and helpful when we 1st walked in. We sat at the bar and Taylor was simply wonderful! Then Chelsea, who served our food knew I needed something by the way I looked and took care of it immediately.I will always come back here.
Cassidy was absolutely phenomenal! This was my first time at this location and she made it one heck of an experience! I loved her energy and she had a smile that was very welcoming! This is now THE only location Im going to! Great job Cassidy you have just made a lifetime customer
Excellent environment, friendly service , awesome bartender , her name is Taylor she is really sweet , and she is making sure that everybody is taking care of. Great menu choices and really decent food and at affordable prices. Definitely a good hangout place and really good people including regulars. :)
The food here was very good. The waitress that waited on us however wasnt. She took our order and we never saw her again even though there were only 5 other patrons.Someone else brought us our meal.We had to ask another for drink refills, condiments and our check.It made the whole experience unpleasurable.Granted this was within the first week of restaurants reopening after Covid. So well try again in the future once theyve all had the chance to reacclimate to the routine.
They told me that the wait time was 20 to 30 minutes, that wasnt that big of a problem. Waited 40 minutes, no text. I called and they put me on hold and never got back to me. 1 star is to good for this poor excuse for a restaurant. I will never ever go to another Applebees. These restaurants have had poor service for over a year now. That would be a minus 1.
Horrible service, Nicole G was our “ server” the manager had to bring our cold food, was never asked if we want refills and never came back to the table. I had to ask for our bill. Once given the bill she was real quick to grab the money and leave. Top it off they weren’t busy what so ever.
It was my Birthday and the lot and takeout was full!! People were standing outside for 45 minutes to an hour to come in, which was crazy! I wont be going back because from the look & wait of things? They had too many in side! I was told on the phone Id have to wait 45 mins for a party of (3)!!!! Theyve lost 3 customers.
My husband and I were there for Valentines day. It was about 4:30pm. The service was good at first. My husband got ribs and he said they were tough. Very hard to eat from the bone. I ordered 1 of the chicken bowls. It was strong sauce. I asked ahead of time if it was. I guess it depends on the person.
Jake Dombrowski the manager on Sunday June 20th said they are not taking carryout orders because they are too busy. Must be nice to run a restaurant where you are too busy and will not take orders at 7pm for dinnertime. For this reason I will never eat at this applebees. I am beside myself at the terrible behaviors of employees and manager here. They should be embarrassed.
I believe it is important to support all neighborhood businesses. There’s three local Apple Bees in my area, the Westland restaurant is by far the best. Every time my husband and I go in for dinner it’s a great experience. The All you can Eat special on a Friday evening I honestly was not expecting everything to go smoothly however; it was great. The food, service and ambiance was excellent. Katrina is our favorite server she is a true professional we try to sit where she’s serving. You can always tell when a place is being managed well.
Due to the previous year a lot of businesses have established the use of reservations, all restaurants that provide sit in service, especially this location, should implement the ability for patrons to set a reservation, that way people who are waiting to dine dont have to wait for an astronomically long time after showing up to the restaurant to put their name on a waiting list.
I dont know if there is new management, staff or what. I never had a bad experience here before, but I was there last night the service was horrible the waitress needed to be asked for napkins, silverware, refills, and reminded of these as well. Food was over cooked ( alot ), and the portions were very small. If I had a penny on me I would have left one for a tip.Honestly not sure if I will be back.Appetizers were great....
The 2 hostesses are rude and snapping they told it would be over a 15 min wait. There are no tables open. But while talking to them there were 2 6 person tables open. Still they made us waiting out. So once are table was ready by the call back number. To wat surprise the 2 tables that were empty 10 mins before is one of the tables we sat at. But one of the shorter one goes it that table there, we ask her which one she goes pick and at leave my area.. but the whole time we were in the restaurant she was walking around talking to other guest but rude didnt give us any menus even though we downloaded the menu. No napkins threw the silverware bags on the table. The waitress had a rude demeaner to her as while. And while we were leaving im waiting for my daughter from the restroom. The smaller of the 2 hostesses come to me with attitude for waiting.. they all need help with customer service
Updating my review to 5 star from a year ago when I gave it 3, as that was the last time I was here. I had stopped coming because the food quality wasnt good. I went back last Saturday for first time and everything was great! I believe the servers name was Jordan. He was fabulous. The food was wonderful. We will definitely be back again soon.
My in laws went here over this weekend. They were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait. They sat there and looked around to sew many dirty tables not being cleaned and the wait staff and manager standing around talking and joking. That is NOT okay. Horrible costumer service!
Went in to have lunch...waitress came & got our drink orders... place not packed... after about 15 minutes... we had to ask for our drinks. My Son ordered a small 6oz steak, asked for it medium well... came back Well done...green beans slightly undercooked, but Manager was very accommodating...she let my Son substitute them for steamed broccoli & also took something off our bill...
Ill always come back to this neighborhood just based on service alone! The food was good and my waitress was exceptional. Not even having to ask for refills or condiments amazed me as Sara was always three steps and tables ahead. Ill always ask for her first and wouldnt even mind waiting for her section.
Food was very good. Service was so so. The steak was done just right. The chicken alfredo was tasty. They were out of 2 different drafts. The waitresse sort of walked by and dropped our bill off. We were not even done with our meals. Had to get her back to get the little brownie and ice cream deserts. They are sooooo good!
Westland Applebees really impressed me on my most current visit, everyone seemed to be following Covid guidelines, which is wonderful! The restaurant was very clean, the staff was very profressional. Our server Sara was Busy as it seemed she was serving more than half of the restaurant however she was very tentative and had us refills before we could even ask for them. The whole experience was fantastic! We will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you westland applebees!
When I actually go in great customer service never had a problem with a staff if theres something wrong on the plate they are quick to fix it or replace it. However I cannot say that I would continue ordering to go from this location the last three times in the past month that I have ordered to go the order has been wrong not made properly or bagged to where it leaks. So all-in-all I will continue to eat there I just will not order it to go.
This place was pretty chill. We wanted to sit at the bar for a couple drinks but it wasnt 2 seats together but the hostess immediately grabbed a chair from one of the tables and we sat right away. We ordered the Oct $1 drink which was the vampire pretty good. We enjoyed our night together.
Took my sisters out for a girls night, and the server was extremely rude, from start to finish. Asking to speak to the manager was also not helpful as we over heard her speaking with another table and wasnt being very courteous or professional to them either. Hopefully, with all of the other poor reviews, someone who cares will take notice and teach proper customer service.
Tried to have a great nite for my daughter 15th birthday and it was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!! We had a party of 20 and they only had one server for us all. He was getting angry with us even when we asked for napkins. Stating hes by himself. Like its our fault. Then the manager had nothing to do with us. She was so rude. The food was brought out shortly and it was cold. Everyone got their food except the birthday girl. She waited another 25minutes to get her food. It was horrible and well never go back.
Not a fan of Applebees food but went at a Birthday girls request. I thought I ordered boneless ribs (even double checked with the waitress). Sure enough, little flat bones in every bite. At least the birthday girl was happy. Service was very good but servers should know the food on the menu.
Just got carryout from here, how terrible. I give a 5.00 tip for cold fries and my coleslaw missing. Had to go back to get it and the portion of coleslaw they gave me was a joke. You inconvenience me for forgetting my coleslaw. Least you could of done was give a little more. I was the only customer picking up my order up so this was on called for. Never will eat there again.
I had a little mix up at Applebee’s I received the wrong order I waited a few weeks to return for my meal hoping everything would turn out of. My server was great and the manager rush off to the table to see if everything was ok. She made sure the food came out fast hot and correctly prepare. I swear it was the best sirloin stk top with park mushrooms and grilled shrimp I have ever had. that made for a greater experience. BIG SHOOT out to Shelly Smith for all of her great working keeping the time focused and trained properly.
Great waitress. But the food was just so so. Took things off the two for $20 and $25. The flavor of the food was lacking. I ordered the Fiesta lime chicken and not anything like it was when originally add to the menu. Very disappointed. Mixed drinks were just so so. The mudslide was very loose no chocolate syrup inside the glass and hardly any whipped cream on top.
We went in the early afternoon on the weekend. It was clean and quiet, not too crowded and the food was fresh. We had appetizers and draft beer. I would highly recommend the wonton tacos. Its been two weeks and I cant stop thinking about them, crunchy, light and flavorful. I think we are due for another trip up there.
My first terrible experience... Bourbon Chicken.... The chicken totally not appetizing...was not cooked completely.. color white rubbery texture...the waiter said the manager was coming over...she never came... Westand Applebees.... also wait extremely long...with low capacity of customers...
First off we sat at the table for 10 minutes before our server greeted us. Then we placed our order for appetizers, however the server forgot the silverware. We had to ask for that. The kitchen was out of broccoli as a side, and they tried to upcharge us for substituting the side. We then tried to use the kiosk at the table to pay our bill and it was malfunctioning. It took well over 10 minutes to pay the bill because they were having computer issues. After waiting 10+ minutes to pay the bill the server finally comes back and says ooh I got you payment already. She not the manager bother to let me know before I sat there waiting!!
Lets see, where do I begin. Got here about 730p on a Saturday, not busy at all, had to wait for a table to be cleaned. Server showed up almost 6 minutes later. Way too long for drinks. Didnt offer any specials. Not like I would have ordered them but could have offered. (Worked food business for 23 years). Came back awhile later for food orders.Didnt offer food specials, or introduce new menu items. We ordered our appetizer and entrées at the same time. Bad move. After waiting for almost 20 min we get our entrees first. Then as shes serving our dinner the appetizers come following. Seriously?We were told the manger would come see us but never did. 4 of us were at our table and my bf SALAD came almost 7 minutes after the rest of our food. Manager never came and I am now waiting at the bar for someone BC problems like this need fixed to have a better business.Hope maybe next time is better.Not happy Westland Applebees
Called ahead to verify this location had the 30% off military Mondays and that it wasnt dine-in only. The woman on the phone stated they do have the discount and that the offer WAS NOT dine-in only. However, when I picked up my order, I was told it was dine-in only. Management needs to make sure their staff is on the same page. The only way Applebees is worth eating is when theres a discount involved. Definitely not worth the trip or full price.
My fiance and I have eaten here several times over the last year. No issues. Special shout out to a waitress we had only the other night (apologies, i cant recall her name.) My fiance wasnt eating a the wrap she ordered (wasnt gross or anything, just a bit bland), and even though she said everything was fine when the server checked, the server saw through her attempt to be polite and comped the meal for us saying they were still perfecting that menu item and knew it wasnt a slam dunk. Great service, will be back Im sure.
Probably will never come here again. Place was packed but that shouldnt excuse good service. Sat my by the door with frigid air coming in, asked to be moved was told there isnt anything available, and on top of that the waitress slammed my plate on the table. Worst ever!!! I cant even take my coat off and eat or I will freeze to death. I dont even think the heat is on. Super pissed!!! Oh and on top of that my silverware was dirty.
I am sorely disappointed in the service. Three times I had to wait more than 10 minutes to be acknowledged. I come for my lunch break here and my time is precious. Today was too much to have people walk by repeatedly and not even say a word to me. The manager tried to help a bit but I was not moved much. Anyway I like the chain but just not having a good experience with this location.
I don’t know why I keep giving this location a chance because every time I’m disappointed. My waiter was absolutely the worst. He didn’t check on beverage refills, clear the table from appetizers and didn’t bring my change. I guess he just assumed he deserved a tip. This is the last time I will be coming to this location. Next time I will go to Canton or Dearborn Heights. I guess restaurants do not believe in customer service anymore.
By far the worst dining experience. Had to ask for refills, had to ask twice for our side order of steamed broccoli we ordered for our daughter. Didnt tells us until they brought out our side of boneless wings that they were out of cheese sticks. Asked for to go boxes and also for a refill on my wifes tea, which was the first one, waitress said Ill be right back with that. Came back with check by no tea. Definitely will not visit this location again.
Decided to go to the location tonight with my family and we will not be returning here. First our server never even told us her name. She had a really bad attitude and we barely even saw here the almost two hours we were there. A bunch of servers and even managers were just sitting and talking in the bar area! My fiancé and I’s food looked like it was literally just thrown on the plate. My sons chicken fingers looked like they were left in the deep fryer way to long. So disappointed never again will we go to this location.
Its what you would expect from Applebees. I go here often. The food is always good & is made quickly. I have experienced one bartender that was neglecting their duty because they were talking with personal friends excessively. Other than that its what you would expect from Applebees.

2022-01-21I feel that maybe the dishwasher may be broken most of the dishes and silverware we sent back numerous times because they were dirty... food was good as usual so 10 for that as far as cleanliness 3...

2021-11-12It was very fast even know it was very crowded but a happy bunch of people. They kept it clean and my server was the best! My food came out quickly, hot and was very tasty! Very appealing!!! I will go back again!

2022-07-09Started out good, we got our beverages, gave our order for the 2 for $30.00 with a salad. Waitress said your food will be ready shortly... twice! Even brought a second cup of tea.( thats how long we were waiting) After 30 min no food. Not even our Salad! Our waitress seemed to have disappeared! We finally said to a nearby busboy weve been here over 30 min and havent gotten our food! He said OK. and just looked at us blankly. It cant possibly take this long for our side salad. Finally asked, Who is your server? We told him. He went to the back. He came out never said another word to us and continued with his work.The table behind us came in after us, same server, already had their appetizers! After over 45 min. No food, and no sign of our sever for at least another 10-15 min. after speaking with the busboy. We finally got up and left! I turned as we walked out the door and watched our server finally appear from the back an walk straight to the table behind us! My friend of 61 years was treating me to dinner and a movie to celebrate MY Birthday!It happened to be our servers birthday also... she commented several times to us and her other tables.I hope she Enjoyed her Day! She pretty much ruined my Birthday celebration!

2022-02-24Ordered Door Dash tonight and was thrilled about the meal I received! I ordered A beautiful 9 ounce piece of Cajun Salmon. Accompanied by Broccoli and Garlic Mashed Potatoes (both generous portions) and a French Onion Soup. With the Tip and Deliver Charges I spent $32.00. Not only was the dinner phenomenal, it was even more appreciated to have received this deliver T 10:30pm. To get that type of quality food at that hour on a weekday for a reasonable pricewas a home run!!! Nice job Applebees 👏👏👏

2022-06-29Quite a shock. I have had many bad experiences at this Applebees with my family and friends over the years. At 9pm Monday, I gave them another chance. The food was excellent and so was the service. I complimented the manager and told her that I will definitely be back and that she has a lot of patience dealing with her staff and she handled herself quite well.

2022-06-03Dont even bother with carryout from this location. I arrived right when they said my order would be ready. I was told itd be a few more minutes. 30 minutes later still no food. Apparently it takes more than 45 minutes to fry up Chicken Fingers and microwave some artichoke dip. I understand places are short staffed but dont tell customers its going to be 20 minutes when the actual wait is over an hour. I left without my food. Im willing to bet as youre reading this, they still havent finished making my order.

2022-05-15This evening our food was much better than prior visits to Westland location. I would rate the food 4/5. Biggest opp and the reason for 3 stars is the piss poor customer service. My husband and I as well as 2 other couples waited 15 min before anyone workers acknowledged us. 3 workers were talking to bartender and staring at us. The bartender was great however rest of staff needs a training in customer service

2022-06-12If you love the food of Applebees but want wonderful service go to the location in Canton. The Westland location has service that is substandard and their management is below average. When spending my hard earned money I want to go where Im treated like I matter. The 3 star rating is being generous.
