Its good that there is a computer store like this one in Ann Arbor. They are knowledgable and personable. I had issues with my charging set-up, and they were able to figure out the problem. They have a strong knowledge of hardware and software and will be able to provide you with relevant information. I would recommend them to people having computer issues, including students.
Came here after breaking my macbook screen right from the start the employees were super helpful and made sure to help me out right away. They got it fixed within a couple days and were super easy to contact and I already got my laptop back in perfect condition. This is the place to go to for all computer help!! 10/10 would recommend
I had a liquid cooler replaced on a gaming pc. They did a great job. Taking special care to do a nice job with cable management inside. It looks beautiful. Nice people, good service. I would highly recommend.
Great service and expertise! I brought my gaming laptop here a couple of months ago with a fan issue, and the issue was quickly resolved. Unfortunately, I had another issue spring up with my power charging port, but they were able to identify and fix the issue.
These guys are always very knowledgeable and dependably helpful--Ive never brought them a problem they couldnt solve. Theyre also very friendly and easy to talk to. This is extremely important to someone like me who isnt conversant with computer and internet jargon; they understand what Im asking about and explain things in a way I can understand as well.

My desktop computer didnt work, I took it to Arbor Computers to fix it. The staff were friendly and skilled, and quickly figured out that the fault was a bad hard drive. Helped me change the hard drive and dumped a lot of photos and text to the new hard drive. Soon, I was notified to pick it up the next day. The repaired computer is much faster than the original. Thank you Arbor Computers! I would recommend Arbor Computers to my friends.

Arbor Computers is a great local business with great service. They are much cheaper than any other store. They are have a faster turn around time for fixing than other places. I had an issue with my gaming computer and was hesitant on where to take it. Arbor computer repaired it for a great price, and I felt comfortable and confident that they would do a good job. Unlike places like Best Buy, these guys are obviously passionate in what they do, and want to provide a great service. There was no sense that they were trying to milk every dollar from my pockets, like big business stores. They are personal with their costumers and it really shows. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with any computer trouble.

This place was super helpful and had amazing service. I had been struggling with fixing my laptop for over a month, and when I decided to take it to them to get it fix, luckily for me one of the guys was the same major as me. He fixed it up and gave me advice and how to work with it better. Awesome people and awesome service.
A few months ago I took my laptop that was basically broken in half with the screen falling off in to see what they could do. They tried as hard as they could but unfortunately it was beyond saving. Fortunately, Moin and his team felt for me, and helped me find a new laptop that was faster, stronger, and an all around beast of a machine. They were so kind and you can tell they are experts in this field. I have had this new laptop for a few weeks now, and it is beyond amazing! I have been given the run around from so many other computer repair places in the past, but not here. They were transparent with me, kept me up to date on its statues, and very easy to talk to. Arbor Computers was my last resort. I am very impressed by Moin and his team’s professionalism, service and communication. My laptop stuck in infinite reboot loop, and as U of M’s tech center was closed during the winter break and my attempt to fix it myself failed, I turned to Arbor Computers. Moin was very effective in diagnosing the problem and quickly ruled out software issues to hardware failure. He even went extra miles to negotiate with the OEMs for parts replacement and successfully repaired my laptop just in time for my new term. As a result, I was able to save ~$2000 and start my study trouble-free.
Went to a tournament hosted by Arbor Computers and had a great time. These guys are seriously passionate, while I did not require any immediate tech support, I absolutely would go to them first if I did. They were very professional when asked about services and had all the information I needed ready. I would highly recommend going here as they are all super friendly and know their stuff.
My husband Don has used Arbor Computers for several years and has found them very knowledgeable and competent. So, when my computer screen whent white with lots of lines, Don took it in. The replacement for the screen wasnt worth the money so I bought a new computer from Arbor computer and they downloaded from my old computer and set it up for me and I was functioning in 24 hours. I wish I could give them six stars. By far the best experience I have ever had with a computer repair shop. I had an HP computer with a bent motherboard and I spilled water on it. At each point through out the repair they explained what happened, why a certain repair is needed, what is cost, and whether the repair was worthwhile. They were very professional and honest the entire time and helped ensure I was only spending money on what I needed. I have been using the computer daily for a month now, and it feels like a brand new computer. This is the fourth PC repair place I have been to and I will never go anywhere else again. Besides the professionalism, the shop itself was very cool, they offered water/snacks while I was there diagnosing the issue, and were extremely responsive to any emails or questions I had. I cannot recommend this place enough, and I will definitely be going back if any other computer issues pop up later down the road.

In this day and age customer service is rare or automated. This shop is not that. I will buy every electronic I can from this shop. Being able to talk to a live person who knows what they are doing is worth exchanging any minor discount online can offer. Their price was cheaper then online anyways.They worked with me and gave me enough options where I felt I was able to make the best decision. Go there and you will see what actual customer service used to be. He also remembered my name 2 months later.Quality products, competent and knowledgeable staff, with repeat business as a clear goal for the store. You cant go wrong and will return if you shop there.
Excellent customer service and technical knowledge. I purchased a new laptop through them, they quickly transfered all data and programs and helped with any questions I had afterward. The old laptop that another computer store could not fix and made me by an additional piece of hardware In order to solve the problem Arbor Computers was able to fix so I no longer needed the hardware. They are absolutely first-rate.

When I first arrived at Arbor Computers, I was greeted by Moin, who was very warm, welcoming, and kind. My laptop had fallen off the table and the power button was damaged. My computer was a mess. Slow, not enough storage space, taking over 12 hours to restart. Ugh! Arbor Computers deserve high marks for their attention to customer service. I came with my wifes laptop that just stopped loading properly.They were prompt in determining the hard drive had died and were good at clearly explaining a couple of options to what we might pursue. When we decided how we wanted to proceed, they were prompt and professional in getting it done going out of their way to have it ready for a trip we had planned where the laptop was sorely needed. Overall, a very good experience. Ill use them again.
Arbor Computers was somehow able to resurrect my inoperable MBPro after I spilled a full pint of Two Hearted on it and waited 2 weeks to take it in. They fixed/cleaned everything so fast and so well; none of the keys stick, it doesnt smell like beer, and it passes all performance tests. Its as good as new and the repair cost was way cheaper than I expected. Good work guys!

These guys are great! Very professional and kind people. They were one of the few places open on a Saturday and fixed my laptop in a couple of hours and gave me same day pick up for free! They even cleaned my laptop for me and told me everything that was wrong with my previous hard drive.

My 1 year old computer wouldnt boot up so I took it to Arbor Computers last Friday afternoon. I explained that I needed it for a Zoom meeting on Monday morning. Figuring that they would need more time to diagnose and fix it, I thought I would have to cancel the meeting. They emailed me an hour after drop-off and explained the problem. I was able to pick it up on Saturday!! Ive worked with many repair places over the years and I can say that the team at Arbor Computers is too notch. They were quick, professional, and understanding. I started my build in the morning, but quickly ran into a compatibility issue between my CPU and motherboard, and there was no way for me to proceed without sending my parts back to the manufacturer. I was resigned to have to ship my parts and wait weeks for fixes, but on a whim, I called Arbor Computers. They picked up the phone immediately and from the start they were kind and displayed clear competence. They asked me to bring all of my PC parts into the store, and they would troubleshoot with me.Once I arrived at their location, I was greeted by the owner, Moin, and two employees. They quickly understood the problem I was having, but the only fix would be to build the whole computer with a different CPU chip, update the motherboard, and then replace the CPU chip with my own - quite an undertaking. Nevertheless, they gave me an extremely fair quote that only charged me for building my computer, not including the extra steps of needing to use their specialized equipment. Whats more, after expressing that I was interested in building PCs, they encouraged me to stick around and watch/assist in the building process.Throughout the build, the staff were competent, kind, and patient. While I was there, I watched them interact with other customers in the exact same fashion - from issues ranging to setting up accounts on PCs, to fixing hardware. One staff member, Sam, walked me through the entire build. After everything was completed, they stuck to the original (and again, affordable) quote. They encouraged me to call back in case I had any questions once I returned home. Once I was home, finishing setup was a breeze.I cannot recommend Arbor Computers highly enough. They are experts in all things IT/Tech. They offer extremely affordable pricing. But above all else, they put customers first, and will make sure to support you until your issue is resolved.

Greatest PC shop in the state of Michigan. Moin (owner), was extremely nice and very helpful. I needed to build a PC, also wanted to learn how to do it, and I was able to hang out and watch. They had 3000 series graphics cards and I felt really lucky to get my hands on one (sold out everywhere else). Sam built the PC and also ran a few tests to make sure it was fully operating and temperatures were perfect. Overall, very pleasant experience. Had my laptop for just shy of a year when it started freezing and shutting down seconds within turning it on. I was worried where to bring it, but I saw the positive reviews this place got. They were professional, almost immediately figured out my hard drive failed, and said they would just need a day to fix it. Sure enough, a day later I get an email saying my laptops ready for pickup. They were professional, and told me upfront when I first brought in my laptop how much it may cost to fix, and they stuck with the price. If that wasnt enough, it was really humid when I came in to grab my pc, and the guy saw I was sweaty and offered me some ice cream out of their freezer. 10/10 service.

Before you go anywhere else, go to Arbor Computer. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and capable. It was easy, just walk in, tell them whats going on with your computer; no appointment necessary. They respond quickly with the news on whats happening with your computer, let you know up front what it will take to repair your computer and what it will cost and then quickly complete the process to do all that you ask if thats what you decide. No pressure, no gimmicks, no bad information. Just honest, hardworking employees giving you the type of service you deserve with an atmosphere so friendly you wont believe it. But you will and youll ask yourself why didnt I find Arbor Computers sooner.
My computer wouldnt turn on. They figured out it was the motherboard and solved the problem. Then I couldnt get Wi-Fi and they gave me a Wi-Fi USB, and it worked. They also took their time to educate me. When it is time for me to get a new computer, I will strongly consider buying from them as well as going to them for repairs. My experience working with them was pleasant.
Arbor Computers saved the day! After over a year of countless hours remote work abuse, my laptop had it and hard drive gave up. I was able to drop off and pick up my, like-new laptop in the same day. She starts and is able to perform all processes faster, and my camera worked again on Zoom! I can not thank you guys enough!!!!
They were wonderful helping us resolve a number of computer issues we had been struggling with a long time. Pleased with the assistance I received from Arbor Computers. As a retired person I needed help using a Microsoft computer. Had problems with the many changes Microsoft was making. Had planned to move to Apple iMac. Arbor Computers knows both OSs. I decided to stay with Microsoft and use a local account. They set up my computer with a local account. They listened to my problems and then set my my computer as I wished. I dont understand the operating systems in todays PCs. Arbor Computers will be there if I need help with another problem. I had been having trouble with my laptop battery for quite some time and kept putting off the replacement because of the usual prolonged turnaround time. I reached out to Arbor Computers for some help and within a couple days, a new battery was ready for me. I thought I’d have to leave my laptop to be serviced but within 20 minutes the owner Moin had worked his magic. It’s been a few days and this new battery is amazing; I’m just disappointed I didn’t reach out to Arbor Computers sooner. Their office space is professional and inviting, the turnaround time is impeccable, and the owner is a wealth of knowledge on anything and everything computers/systems related. Took my computer here last week because it was an old gaming computer that needed a solid reboot, and had no idea where to start, let alone trust anyone to reboot it without issues. Needless to say, the staff here were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, and were able to fix up my computer with no issues. I even got a good discount on some high end products. Its been running smoothly since, and I plan on coming back. I could not have been more pleased with the service I received at Arbor Computers. They took my (non-booting) laptop with a very slow hard drive and turned into a speed deamon with the addition of a new solid state drive and operating system. All of this took less than five hours, so I was able to pick it up the same day. The owner seems exceptionally friendly and intelligent. Just recently discovered Arbor Computers after going through several IT guys at our business. Moin and crew have been fantastic - managing the server, running new lines to an expanded office, firewall issues, etc. I have even started buying the new computers through them - and they will come on site to get them all set up! Head and shoulders above the other local computer experts I have dealt with.
We bought a used laptop from Arbor Computers after our laptop died. The staff has been great, communicating what made the most sense for us in terms of fixing/replacing the original computer and also with servicing the computer we purchased from them. After taking my laptop to another repair service with no resolution of the problem, I tried Arbor Computers for the first time. They quickly diagnosed the problem in the hard drive, fixed it and transferred all my files over the weekend. Such a relief! My computer crashed on me and I was able to get it into Arbor Computers that day and pick up a backup computer to use while mine was being examined. I could not have had a better experience than the one that I had with this company. I had a laptop that is critical to my professional life. It wasnt working properly and I couldnt figure out why. They diagnosed the problem within a couple of hours and ordered the parts. The repair was done extremely fast and it was well done. The guys were professional and seemed to really care. They are very professional and very good at solving computer issues.They have serviced two of my problem computers and have resolved their issues to my satisfaction.My desktop originally had a virus corrupted hard drive. They were able to repair and update the BIOS and install a later version of Microsoft Office. Later, the desktop had a failing hard drive and they were able to successfully transfer the software to a solid state hard drive. The solid state hard drive required the reinstallation of some critical software and they creatively overcame obstacles, that the software company set up, to install the software.The laptop also had a failing hard drive. They were able to save the data and install it on a solid state hard drive.Both computers required patience (with me) and expertise to resolve the problems that both computers had. Both computers are working better now compared to when they were new.

After having my computer hacked, I was informed by our bank to see Arbor Computers and Moin Jaffers. They were extraordinary in their assistance and providing us with options. I selected to have a new hard drive put in my computer which they did immediately along with updating programs and virus protection. Had my aging system go down after the shift to work from home. Definitely will be my go-to place from now on. I had a complex issue, hooking up a controller for another system to work with a game on my PC. Before, I brought it in, the game was not able to even see the controller and the buttons were not mapped correctly.Will was extremely knowledgeable and was able to figure everything out quickly, he was able to map everything correctly and now everything works exactly as it should!I will definitely be going back soon, to get an SSD installed in my machine.
Arbor Computers was a God send when it came to building our custom PC. The process of selecting the right parts for the right built is daunting. There are so many different parameter. Although there are online tools to guide you, having a knowledgeable partner in the process is invaluable. For, example should you go with an 8 core i7 or an 8 core i9. Should you pick 10th processor or 9th generation processor/ Where can save money and where do you want go all out. The experience these guys have is so valuable and it saves you so much time. Plus, if you make a mistake; you can either look through hundreds of websites or watch hours of video on youtube or you can call Arbor Computers and save yourself the headache.Arbor computer was able to ask us the right questions and were sensitive to our parameters and helped us make informed decisions about our custom build computer. It was really quality without sacrificing price.Plus, it helps that they are so personable and easy to talk to. They are responsive and professional. We knew what to expects. A computer crash can be maddening in the best of times, but it’s especially stressful when coronavirus is raging around us. A few weeks ago when my wife was faced with a similar frustrating situation, I quickly turned to Moin Jaffer, President/owner of Arbor Computers. After listening carefully, he advised us to buy a new computer. Why? “An old computer is not worth the time and money, “ Mr. Jaffer told us. He then provided us with the pros and cons of a brand new computer, and for which we placed an order. A ready-to-use computer was delivered to us in two days. Yes, we did not have to do any setup, software installation, or any other application related to a functional computer; all was performed by the skilled, sincere, and dedicated technicians of Arbor Computers. We were so impressed! We must give them an A+.As an aside, I must tell you if you happen to visit the Arbor Computers’ office, you will be greeted by a happy-go-lucky representative, have you comfortably seated in a spacious room, and entertain you with freshly brewed coffee and/or cookies, chocolates, ice cream, and water. Arbor Computers is by far the best place for Tec repair, setup and purchases. Have tried many others with limited results and many unanswered questions. My Apple all -in -one and Toshiba laptop were repaired and updated with enthusiasm.Moin and Will are very skilled and enjoy their work and working with you.If for some reason a repair cannot be done you will be told why, but this is a rarity. I eventually traded in my Apple for a MSI purchase. It has proven to be excellent and spunky with the latest, most advanced software to include; desktop and graphic motion capabilities. Arbor Computers handled the problems I was having with my gaming PC promptly and professionally. I received my computer back the next day, where they demonstrated that the issues Id been having were fixed, gave me time to ask questions, and offered followup advice to avoid these issues in the future.
The owner was very kind and helpful! My calls and texts were immediately returned and he was very flexible when it came to picking a time to meet. When I went in to get my laptop looked at, the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about what he was doing. Although my laptop had a problem with the motherboard that couldnt be easily fixed then and there, he gave me options on courses to fix my laptop including finding me a replacement motherboard online which he offered to order for me.I ended up deciding to not repair my laptop (and instead invest in a new one) but still wanted to recover my files. I was able to purchase a flash drive from the owner that he had on hand and he quickly recovered my files for me.Although I didnt get my laptop fixed, I left more then happy with the service given to me. The process was made very quick and painless. I left with a good understanding of the issues my laptop had, and options avaible to me to fix it. My computer died a month ago, and I decided to find a place for repair it, considering their google reviews. I found Arbor Computers and they have a lot of good recommendations so I consulted them about my laptop.At the end Moin Jaffer, found the replacement part (motherboard), repair the computer, and also made a good improvement (he changes the hard drive to SSD); the time that they took to this changes was just a day (in total I waited a week because the replament part took that time to arrive!).I totally recommend them!. I am a residential customer and needed repairs made to my PC. It’s a couple years old, but still a good machine. Since I work from home, I needed the work done fast. I found several “computer repair” listings in Ann Arbor but I was skeptical about their estimates. When I met Moin he told me he could do the job more affordably and understood that my work depended on getting back up and running as soon as possible. The repairs were done quickly and at a price well under other estimates. He was also able to remove malware and spyware that I had accumulated over the years, making the machine considerably faster. My laptop hard drive got corrupted and Moin did a thorough and expeditious job getting me back up and running. I appreciated that he took the time to understand what happened, to explain my options and his recommendation. I liked that he wanted to find the most cost-effective solution, in consideration of what I actually use the machine to do, rather than trying to upsell me to something more expensive and more capable than my needs. He was able to recover virtually all my data despite his initial pessimism, accomplished it on schedule, and was very helpful in getting my revived system configured better so that my files are easier to manage and back up.

I had a battery go bad and start to swell in a relatively new and relatively expensive laptop. Of course, it was 2 months outside of warranty. An outstanding experience at ArborComputers. After struggling unsuccessfully for weeks to fix my HP laptop that had frozen-up, Moin immediately identified the problem as a locked track pad. A previous IT guy from a different shop had worked on it for 1.5 hours without identifying the problem. Amazing! I am now a loyal customer of ArborComputers.
I spilled an entire 30 ounce tumblr of water on my laptop. It was literally swimming in water. I assumed it was a goner, but my mom forced to me to take it to this place to get it checked out. There was still water on the battery when they opened it up. Within a week, they had it up and working again. I still cant believe it, I have no idea how they managed to pull it off but Im VERY impressed and highly recommend them.
This place does great computer repairs, I was going to be locked out of my computer for 79 quadrillion years (no joke) and they repaired the laptop. the best computer shop in the world!!!
I needed a new hard drive in my laptop ASAP. I found this place on google, called, and had an appointment the next day. 36 hours later I had a working laptop at a reasonable price. The conversations were straightforward and helped me weigh my options. I never felt like I was being talked into something which is important to me. Will use again in the future.
Moin Jaffer has given us terrific service for five years now, beginning with my husband’s computer and printer/fax machine (set-up, software, wireless connections, virus-checking/cleaning, etc.). When my husband broke his foot, he helped him by moving his computer to where he could use it, then reinstalled it in his office when he was able to walk again. He made time to help a visiting relative with a computer-virus-emergency. Most recently, when a printer I’d bought on line proved to be defective, he responded promptly to my email for help by coming the next business day, trouble-shooting the problem (unsolvable), getting me a better replacement (the defective one also turned out to have hidden costs), and installing it within three days. Moin Jaffer is knowledgeable and thoughtful, and his prices are very reasonable. We recommend Moin Jaffer for any computer-related purchase or repair.

Fantastic service. My fiances laptop was having hardware issues. After trying another local shop which tested the ram and found no issues, i went here for a second opinion. He knew it was the ram just by my description and sure enough, it was the ram. My laptop is in a very difficult configuration and it took several hours labor to complete the repair and I was carged an extremely fair price for it all. Phenominal service and the only computer repair I will use from here on out
I had a very positive experience here at Arbor Computers. My computer had a strange problem of randomly freezing during gaming. Moin was very helpful, very intelligent, and very quick to respond. He carefully ran a series of diagnosis tests and figured out what the problem was. It turns out that both my motherboard and cpu had problems. I wouldve never figured this out myself. I had my computer completely fixed at a VERY reasonable price. He also told me a lot of tips to protect your computer during the process. If your computer has a problem, definitely take it to them and let them check it!

My computer was having power problems. Moin replaced the power supply and the battery controlling the computers time and date. After being serviced, the computer worked fine for a little while but then exhibited the same problem. When I took the computer back to Moin, he made it right. He traced the problem to the battery that controls the time and date. He replaced this battery again at no charge, and the computer has worked great ever since. I am happy with the service I received at Arbor Computers, and I will patronize this business again in the future if my computer develops other problems.
IT issues can be crippling. My laptop was down for two days. Nearly in panic mode, I brought it in to Moin at Arbor Computers and in a matter of a couple hours he resolved the issue. I called Arbor Computers @ 9:00a.m, to come out to the house & repair our desk top unit because my son had downloaded a video game that ended up compromising the entire system. The owners name is Moin Jaffer. I asked him to come to the house at 2:00p.m, which he did. Within an hour, everything was back to the way it was. He is very humble, courteous & knowledgeable. Admittedly, our system is outdated so were going to see Arbor Computers next week about purchasing a custom-made unit for the home. I highly recommend Moin & his company to repair your computer woes.
I dropped in with a problem caused by an unnoticed and unintended typing error that had me completely buffaloed. Moin Jaffer solved it in five minutes, after I had spend a whole day failing to do so. No charge! What a guy!

Easiest pc dispense I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing.
I tried to clone a drive, but ran into issues when booting up. Took the laptop in, and Moin found a corruption issue. He was able to fix the problem and get the new drive working as desired for a reasonable cost.Recommend calling the shop in advance before showing up.
Moin is very knowledgeable, and he demonstrated an unwavering commitment to getting the job done. He overcame several unexpected challenges while repairing my computer. Additionally, he spent time working through these issues on a Saturday, and late in the evening, in order to complete the job. I am truly grateful for his work.
Prompt diagnosis of the problem with my computer within 24 hours, emailed information on the recommended repair and cost estimate. I was able to approve the repair via a return email, and the job is now done. Total time 48hrs, at the quoted fee. Problem solved with no surprises.....NICE !!

2022-06-25This was the second time I have gone to Arbor Computers for help with my sons computer. Everyone there is great - very friendly and approachable. I felt very comfortable asking them questions. They helped me understand what the problem was and how they fixed it. I also really appreciate their communication with me, they kept me updated on their progress and when I could expect to pick up the computer. Overall, a great experience and I wouldnt go anywhere else. Highly recommend.

2022-02-10I had a great experience with Arbor Computers. My old (very old) HP desktop wasnt booting, so I took it in to see if it made sense to repair or simply recover the data. They were able to quickly diagnose it, advise me on what it would cost to repair, and were upfront in recommending recovering the data being that it was more expensive to repair than it was worth in computing power. The staff and owner were very friendly to me and my wife, the office is clean and has beverages / snacks, and the price was fair. Great experience all in all. Definitely recommend!

My computer was recently hacked and I brought it to them the same day and was relieved that they were were able to fix it quickly and now I am using them for my computer support service! Not only we’re they happy to help but did so free of charge.A+ in customer service and I 100% say support them with your business. I brought in my liquid-damaged laptop right away, and within three days, it was ready for me to use again.
