I went here as a child, and it was so lovely to return as a patient in my adult life. Everyone in the office remembered my entire family from 10+ years ago.As a Muslim, I believe it is important to support businesses in our community.Dr.Jaffer is very trustworthy and his office does not overcharge you or leave you feeling like you walked out of the puppy mill of dentistry.Lindsay, my hygienist was very gentle with my teeth cleaning. She was pretty good company during what is usually a painful experience for me.Thanks everyone!
Inconsiderate and Rude. I was there for over an hour in a waiting room before Dr. Jaffer came in and told me they were too busy to have a hygienist see me and I would have to come back for a cleaning. What? Why didnt they tell me when I got there? Why didnt anyone call me and tell me not to come? How is this acceptable? I was trying to find a dentist that accepted my new insurance but I would rather pay out of pocket for a cleaning elsewhere than come back to an office that does not value my time. This is an extremely busy week and I happily would have rescheduled if anyone had the courtesy to call me.
I recently started going to Arbor Dental, and I could not have picked a better dentist in the Ann Arbor area. Everyone at the practice is friendly, helpful, and very professional. If you go here, you can be assured that you are in good hands.
Absolutely amazing atmosphere. The people there are so friendly and welcoming. I had to get my wisdom teeth removed and I was a nervous wreck, but Dr. Jaffer and his assistant Paula were the best!!! They helped me calm my nerves and procedure went really well. I will definitely be coming back for all of my dental needs.
My prior visits to Dentist Offices usualy brings out fear in the treatment as well as recovering from Shock when I see the bill. My trip to Abor Dental removed all these previous anxieties. It was the most friendly and claiming dental experience that I have ever had. I felt that Dr. Jaffer and his Staff treated me the way that they would like to be treated if they were in my shoes. Kudos to them!
Excellent care all around. I used to come here when I lived in the area but have since moved to Ohio. Ive broken a tooth and had a bad experience getting it checked out by someone down here, so I made the decision to make the drive up to see Dr. Jaffer for a better exam and a second opinion. I have an awful gag reflex that makes it hard to get Xrays, but Jordan and Noor had some great tips and tricks to help me control it - I can honestly say its been one of the least traumatic checkup experiences of my adult life, as far as that goes. Because of their care and kindness I know I got a good exam. Dr. Jaffer was thorough about explaining my options to me and the implications of each choice and he developed a treatment plan that was right for me. I came back here because I know the job will be done right. I wont mess around with going anywhere else any more.
Had a wisdom tooth removal and iv sedation. Went perfectly. Highly recommend for anyone who feel scared to get your wisdom teeth out they are definitely professionals.
After being denied for treatment at 4 different offices due to the severity of the prognosis for my invisalign, I found Arbor Dental and was confidently told yes. After my two years of treatment, I now have the smile that I have always wanted. During the entirety of my treatment I was handled with care and compassion and highly recommend Dr Jaffer for all your dental needs!
This is the place to call if you have an emergency, they really do care and will get you in as soon as possible. I called them years ago with an emergency, when my former dentist couldnt see me for days. Now, I wouldnt go any where else for all my routine and corrective dental care.Dr. Jaffer makes even the longer difficult procedures seem easy, he ensures youre comfortable at every step. He will call to check on how you are doing afterwards, and Ive never had any issues but he still checks.Every staff member is similarly professional and caring, I have had only positive experiences with the staff here.I have recommended them to my family and the results and opinions were the same, a truly remarkable staff and excellent care.Prices are reasonable, but its always about the standards and quality of the care, and they do care!
I recently got my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Jaffer and the whole process went so smoothly. Despite what everyone says about wisdom teeth removal, I experienced virtually no pain whatsoever. Everything healed nicely and it feels great! I’m so grateful that I went to Arbor Dental because it was such a smooth and painless experience compared to what I’ve heard about wisdom teeth removal.
I’ve been going to Arbor Dental for over 5 years and I have nothing but good things to say about this practice. My hygienist, Noor, is gentle and thorough, and Dr. Jaffer is always kind. The office is bright and comfortable. I have done whitening, wisdom teeth, bite guard, and regular cleanings here - I trust them with all of my oral health needs.
Dr. Jaffer is the best dentist I know. He took out my wisdom tooth which other dentist was not able to find the root cause for. He did my implant too. I always trust him because he is good at analyzing the problem and fixing it. I was living in Michigan when I first visited. Now I am moved to Ohio and I almost traveled 3 hours for dental services. Dr. Jaffer and his staff is amazing. I would highly recommend his Dentistry.
Dr. Jaffer has been my dentist since 2012. He and his team have made my dental care easy and worry-free. I especially like the automated text messages to remind me of upcoming appointments. This was especially valuable during my Invisalign treatment. Dr. Jaffer is a terrific practitioner for anyone considering Invisalign. I am extremely happy with my results. 2022 UPDATE: Since I had my teeth straightened with Invisalign, I’ve had fewer cavities and better oral health overall. I definitely recommend Arbor Dental for this investment.

I’ve been going to arbor dental for the last 4 years for my dental needs and I always have a pleasant experience with them. They go the extra mile to make clients happy and satisfied. Dr. Jaffer and Leah always make my visit the most comfortable. Leah is simply the perfectionist while working on your teeth and she always has so many beautiful and informative stories to share. All the staff at arbor dental are very professional and organized. During these COVID-19 times, everything was clean and all the safety protocols were in place to make sure the clients feel safe and protected.
Ive been with Arbor Dental for over 10 years now and have had a lot of different work done over the years. Always very satisfied. Very happy with Dr. Jaffer and my hygentist, Leah, is GREAT! They use all the latest, state of art, tools and equipment. Also, they pushed me to get a bite guard and for years I resisted. In the end, they were right all along. I finally got the bite guard 6 months ago and I actually get a better night sleep with it than without it.
I was really nervous about getting 4 of my wisdom teeth out, but Dr. Jaffer explained the process in a lot of details for me beforehand, he showed me X-rays of my teeth and what exactly he would be doing. Everything went by very smoothly especially when it was time for me to go under anesthesia. I woke up feeling very good and it’s been a few hours now and i’m still not experiencing any pain. I could honestly say this was one of the best experience i’ve had at any dental office ever. The staff was also very welcoming and friendly!!

I’m one of those patients who is very sensitive to poking and prodding in my mouth and the doctor and Hygienist are very mindful of that! Dr Jaffer and his staff at arbor dental are top notch. They answered every single question I had before getting my wisdom teeth and molar extracted. They helped me understand the insurance process and how the IV sedation would work. Dr Jaffer called me before my procedure and after, which made me feel really good about my decision to work with him. Any future work I get done will be with him.
By far the best dentist I’ve gone to in Ann Arbor. (I’ve tried many)I mentioned that I grind my teeth at night and they were able to scan my teeth and get me a bite guard within 10 days! And the headaches I woke up with for years have gone away.The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I can’t recommend this office enough.
Just arrived home from my second appointment at Arbor Dental. I’m a 77 year old and have been to many dental clinics in my life. This one is definitely more than 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 it’s more like🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. From the owners to everyone including receptionist to hygienists to dental assistants and the dentist doing the fantastic work. Arbor Dental fixed my TMJ by adjusting my bite via Invisalign. It really reduced the number of headaches and jawache I was experiencing. After relying on Arbor Dental for a number of years Im happy to recommend them to others.
I have been continuously impressed with the friendliness and professionalism exhibited by the staff at Arbor Dental. Dr. Jaffer provides information clearly and describes his recommendations in a non-threatening and collegial manner. In addition, Dr. Jaffer does excellent work while minimizing discomfort or anxiety about dental procedures. Though I have been impressed by all of the staff, I have been especially impressed with Nor (sp?), one of the dental hygienists. She has excellent bedside manner and goes above and beyond to engage with her patients and provide top-notch services. I’ve been going to Arbor Dental for years and have always had a great experience. Within the last year, I got a new bite guard at their clinic and it has greatly improved my symptoms. I would recommend any grinders to check them out and get fitted! Thankful that they have made going to the dentist so pleasant. Wonderful group of hygienists and dentists!
Ive been in the Arbor Dental office a bunch of times now and every time, theres a ton of smiles and amazing service. Cleaning, fillings, etc. were all super easy. Most recently, I had my wisdom teeth removed via IV sedation. No pain, no swelling. Couldnt be happier with the team at Arbor Dental.
We have been going to Arbor Dental for years and when my son, Omar needed braces, we decided to go ahead with Dr. Jaffer and his team without hesitation. The service and people are all great and we can rest assured that they will do a good job with my sons braces. We will continue with Arbor Dental for all of our ongoing dental care going forward too.
Dr Jaffer and his team are wonderful! After dealing with a lot of shifting teeth and dental issues during and after pregnancy, I ended up doing Invisalign and it was definitely worth the cost! Dr Jaffer was very helpful throughout the entire process and after about 9 months I have amazing results! Very pleased with everything. Everyone here is so friendly and I always enjoy chatting with the staff.
Arbor Dental is a very clean, efficient, modern and professional dental office. The staff is super friendly and are very helpful for scheduling appointments taking into account school and work. I have gotten my braces done from them and had great results in a short period of time. I recently got all 4 wisdom teeth removed at Arbor Dental and had an amazing experience. I was offered IV sedation during the process which, went very smoothly. Once I woke up, all 4 wisdom teeth were removed and I felt normal (other than my face being numb). I had little to no pain through this process and it was very smooth and efficient. Once the entire procedure was done, I had no blood coming out and was able to go home and take the best nap of my life. The staff was very upfront with what was going to be done and how it was going to be done. I would highly recommend this Dental Office.
I am 67 years old and have plenty of crowns and implants so i have been to alot of dentist offices.Most dentist are good and a few are exceptional...Dr. Jaffer and his team are committed to excellence.They referred me to a periodontist for laser cleaning for my gum disease and the laser cleaning worked perfectly.Why didnt my last dentist refer me for laser cleaning instead of just sitting on me ? I had excellent crown work done at Arbor Dental also. I am a retired Registered Nurse and know good care and this is a excellent dentist office !
I have been a patient of Dr. Jaffers for over 6 years. I greatly appreciate the expertise and care that both he and his staff have provided. I chose to do the Invisalign based on his advice. I was a juvenile metal brace failure who never wore my retainer so I considered this Take 2 as an adult 20 years later. The Invisalign went very well, my teeth are aligned and my mouth is healthier. No more cavities and easier to floss now that my teeth are in the right place. Thank you to Dr. Jaffer and the rest of the team at Arbor Dental.

Arbor dental is the best there is hands down, been coming here since so was a child, I don’t know why I haven’t left a review. Omg Leah is the greatest smarts hygienist. I would recommend them to any one.
My boyfriend has blocks on his teeth from his braces from years ago and we went there and they were able to help us and take it off right there and then! No prior knowledge of having those blocks before walking in. He had a balance on there and we paid that but what really made me give them a 5 star review is the next thing they did. My boyfriend has a rough family life and he just turned 18 so we are still learning how to do these kind of things. His insurance he had was not accepted but they were so empathetic and sympathetic that they comped the cleaning for that day! To recap, we did pay the balance that his family owed form the braces but they helped us with the cleaning. They also helped me understand what I can do for insurance and for where to go next time. They even helped me calm down for I had gotten emotional when trying to talk to them about the situation.If I could give them 100 out of 5 I would, but sadly I can not.I can not stress how much this meant and means to both of us. I highly recommend this place!(Also, after the appointment his teeth had never looked cleaner and healthy! Couldn’t even tell that he had had those blocks on his teeth for the years that he had had them!!!)
I recently made the switch to Arbor Dental and its been an amazing experience compared to my previous provider. Previously, I went to the University of Michigan Dental School. Yes, it was cheaper, but parking was a huge pain and I experienced FREQUENT issues with scheduling even basic cleanings. I knew I wanted to switch, but put it off due to COVID. However, in the middle of December, I started feeling sudden pain in one of my front teeth. I was suddenly experiencing extreme temperature sensitivity, so much that even inhaling the winter air outside hurt. There was no clear trigger for it and nothing to suggest what might be causing it. I talked to my spouse about it and they recommended Arbor Dental, which is where they get work done. I called Arbor Dental and explained my situation and they got me in the next two days. Despite the short notice, Dr. Jaffer took the time to call me personally and welcome me to the practice. When I went in, everyone was wonderfully friendly and, even when it wasnt immediately apparent what was wrong, they took my pain seriously and checked for all potential issues. Ultimately I wound up needing to get a root canal since it was determined that the tooth was dying and the pain was my nerve issuing a death knell. I initially dreaded the news, afraid I was going to have to wait weeks to get scheduled for the root canal, but they got me in for the root canal within a week. This was my first root canal and I wasnt sure what to expect. It ended up being a quick and painless procedure that INSTANTLY relieved my tooth pain. The dentists and dental aids were also good about offering clear, concise explanations about everything from the procedure to my x-rays to what was happening in my tooth that was causing my pain. It was a 10/10 experience and I heartily recommend the practice for anyone looking for a top-tier dental experience.

Not to mention, the new office looks good!I had my wisdom teeth pulled this past summer and I expected the worst, especially since my wife suffered swelling when she had her wisdom teeth pulled at another dental office in Michigan.Dr. Jaffer did a great job pulling my wisdom teeth and I had ABSOLUTELY NO SWELLING!! Dr. Jaffer even called me a few days after the surgery to make sure I was doing ok.As long as my family and I live in AA, we will come to Arbor Dental!
I transitioned to Arbor Dental this year after my local dentist of 16 years retired and sold his practice to people that didn’t work out for me. First off, I am not an easy “new” patient. My level of dental anxiety with a new practice is a 10/10 (and it only goes down slightly and slowly from there). I’ve had a LOT of dental work in the past, some traumatic dental experiences and also some very good experiences. This practice has been very patient and understanding with my fears. I’m a reasonable and rational person up until the point you get me in a dentist chair unable to communicate with drills coming at me. I don’t know the person I am while I’m in the chair ;)Dr. Jaffer went out of his way not to have to perform a root canal on me (he did end up having to, but I appreciate the due diligence). His staff are kind, patient, and competent including his associate dentists who help perform procedures. I’m pleased with the quality of work they do, and I am also pleased with their level of kindness for fearful patients like me.

Dr. Jaffer called me before and after my appointment to answer any questions and see how I was doing. I was very nervous before the procedure, but they did an absolutely excellent job! I totally enjoyed both of my experiences at Arbor Dental. I first went about a month ago to have my wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Jaffer did all 4 at one time. It was painless and I recovered quickly. I recently went to have a cleaning done and all the staff is always very nice and professional, and I am always pleased with the work Ive had done. I will return in the future.
If you have little kids, this is a great place to go. The past few times I’ve taken my daughters, they get booked together, which is very convenient. We don’t wait long, if at all, to be seen. Dr Jaffer and the hygienists are patient and kind. Noora in particular was amazing with our daughters. I would suggest going on a Wednesday as they aren’t as busy. We will definitely keep going back.
I visited Arbor Dental four times so far and each visit has been pleasant. The first time I visited, x-ray and pictures were taken and detailed explanations of what needs to be done followed. The second time, I got my teeth cleaned for the first time in my life, and to my surprise, it was quite comfortable during the cleaning and I was happy with my clean teeth after. The third time was the main reason why I had to visit a dentist, my wisdom teeth extraction; the extraction went smoothly without much discomfort nor pain and I was able to eat solid food on the second day. The fourth visit was a follow-up of the extraction and I was told how my gums were healing great and suggested next course of action for my dental health.I would recommend this place for anyone, including people who are scared of dentists. Relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff.
I have been a patient of Dr Jaffer for a few years. He does excellent work and has very good bed side manners. Hes open and receptive to your views and opinions. Today i went into his office to have my two front teeth fixed and end up have four teeth fixed with no anesthesia! I felt absolutely nothing.i highly recommend Dr Jaffers office to suit your dental needs.
Update: After over 2 years with Dr Jaffers team, both my husband and I have seen multiple Arbor Dental team members, and we have had great and caring experiences every time.Dr. Jaffer & his team at Arbor Dental are fantastic. I moved to the area in 2018 and started going here based on others reviews. My hygienist, Noor, is wonderful and very thoughtful and takes the time to explain what shes doing and why - just for a standard cleaning! I have always had cavities since I was a kid, even with regular brushing, flossing, and rinsing. I also went through standard metal braces over 30 years ago to correct an overbite, and every dentist Ive had as an adult would say to me, you should consider orthodontics. I always thought it was to straighten out my bottom teeth, which was never a priority for me.Noor & Dr. Jaffer showed me pictures of my teeth and explained that all the crowding and misalignment I had, in addition to having a highly acidic mouth naturally, was causing me to continue having cavities in areas where the brush and floss couldnt remove all the debris. They suggested Invisalign to help with the crowding and straighten out some other problematic teeth. Ive just finished my set of 20 trays and cannot believe how much more aligned and straighter they are. I had so much crowding that it was hard for me to get floss between a few teeth, and now flossing is so easy. I love my smile after Invisalign, and am so grateful to the team at Arbor Dental!!

Ive been going to Arbor Dental for probably 10 years or more. Even though I live i Howell now, I still make the trip to Ann Arbor to see them.My hygienist Leah is awesome and so is Dr. Jaffer. Highly recommend them! I also take my son there and both Dr. Jaffer and Leah were really amazing with him!They are always conservative as well, wanting to do the least invasive type of work needed and always waiting until there is a real need. I cant exaggerate how pleased i am to have chosen Arbor Dental for getting my wisdom tooth removed and have my dental checkup done. Where do i start, the front desk lady (Jenny) was very helpful, kind, and super nice. The lady who helped with my appointment and my cleaning and the lady who helped with x-ray for my teeth ....all of them were super nice and very professional. They made me feel very comfortable and relaxed as i have a phobia towards dentist and dental places. My surgery for wisdom tooth removal (3/11/2017) that i dreaded for years has finally come to an end. ALL thanks to Arbor Dental and Dr.Jaffer for his excellent service and making my life better. Thank you to everyone in Arbor Dental clinic for all their help and goodness. Would definitely recommend to all my friends.
Due to COVID-19, most dental clinics were closed and not able to help. I had to get my wisdom teeth removed urgently and Arbor Dental was the only clinic that was able to see me very quickly in AA. Everyone at the office was so accommodating. They were able to squeeze in an appointment for me that was very convenient with my timeline. The office is very clean and everyone is friendly! I felt very comfortable getting both IV Sedation and Wisdom teeth removed and Dr.Jaffer not only made the process very easy but checked in with me after the appointment and even after a few days. I am really grateful that I went to Arbor Dental and highly recommend going there!

A little back story I was 28 years old with a terrible underbite that made me super self conscious so I took the leap of faith and got braces while other dentist would have sent me elsewhere to a specialist to break my jaw, Dr. Jaffer took the leap of faith and gave me braces and to say the least it worked and now my teeth have shifted tremendously and I couldnt be happier with the result! Ask him to show you the results youll be SHOCKED! So everyone go to this place for any dental work theyre by far the best around!!

Equally, he is upfront about charges, no hidden cost/fees.The office staff members are welcoming and the atmosphere is professional and friendly! Dr. Jaffer is a professional, hes kind with a calming demeanor! In my experience he has tried to accommodate me (hours, mishaps, follow-up, etc.!) His new locations is very clean, inviting and has great decor! Definitely an upgrade!(My full story below......)After consulting (3) Orthodontist (over a period of years), I was given the same story. I was told that Im considered to be one of the worst cases possible (under bite, mix of baby teeth/permanent teeth, overcrowding, plus more). I was notified by all providers whom I sought consultation with, prior to, Dr. Jaffer that I must have a (non-optional) surgical procedure performed on my Jaw. From all (3) previous consultations I was also notified that I would need multiple appointments at multiple locations before receiving braces. On top of all of that I was also told that invisalign was not an option: braces were required.I was made to feel more insecure (at times) than I felt I could handle. Some made me feel pressured, like if you dont change it now, then just forget it. Or even worse, you will be older and it will be much more painful and even more complex. I am grateful that I overcame insecurities and that I did not give up!I feel so strongly about the service that Ive received at Arbor Dental simply because its really working! Not only did Dr. Jaffer recommend no surgery, the extractions went very well! Yes, there were multiple (same day). Dr. Jaffer used precision and patience to remove my teeth, even though one gave a bit more resistance to part ways. Yes, there was some discomfort following the extractions but I healed over the course of a few days. Lucky for me, it was nothing that OTC pain relievers (taken at recommended dose, of course) couldnt handle. The extraction process was overall fast and not nearly a frightening as I thought it would be. Please know, discipline is required for fast healing!As far as my invisalign process goes Dr. Jaffer is only Orthodontist who listened and was more inclusive! I was able to receive my preferred treatment plan, at least for the majority of the process. I am not quite finished with my invisalign treatment but I very satisfied with my overall process! I am satisfied even despite learning recently that there is a new recommended revised plan. I will be receiving traditional braces on my lower teeth only (for a period of 3 - 6 months).Its easy to be satisfied with the revision because Dr. Jaffer has been transparent and informative, since the beginning. I can see the transition, I can equally see the need for additional measures to complete the process giving me an amazing smile, in the end! I already feel much more confident than I ever did before!

I have been going to Arbor Dental for the last 2 years. They have always been very nice and accommodating to my dental needs.I have been missing multiple top teeth my whole life. Since I do not have enough bone in my jaw to support implants, we decided to get two sets of dental bridges on my front teeth to cover the gaps. The procedure was completely pain free and the bridges look FANTASTIC. Both Dr. Henderson and Dr. Jaffer were very helpful during this process. Additionally, Arbor Dental was able to accommodate this procedure safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.I would definitely recommend Arbor Dental.

Dr. Jaffer is a great dentist and very nice. I got my Invisalign through his office. Very happy with the results of my Invisalign. My visits for regular check ups and cleanings are fast and helpful. The location is perfect because it’s on the corner of Eisenhower where it splits with Packard. Would recommend his office if youre looking for a dentist.
I got my wisdom teeth taken out at Arbor Dental yesterday. Although Dr. Jaffries wasnt supposed to work, he came in especially for me on short notice because he knew I was graduating this weekend. They really care about their patients and will work around your schedule to help you. I was a little scared of the IV sedation but everything went perfectly smoothly and I didnt have any complications what so ever. Would recommend 10/10 times!
I am his customer since almost 4years.But with this last time I really have to share my experience.I was at Doctor Jaffer’s for wisdom teeth removal adopting the IV sedation.First time I took a wisdom out, and first time I use a sedation (of any type). I had ZERO pain. Procedure went amazingly good. The procedure was explained well prior to the start. The whole staff was careful and clean as usual. Good follow up received from the doctor to confirm the next steps and ensure I was good, few hours later when I was at home.If you need a wisdom removed at zero pain With IV sedation I would highly recommend doctor Jaffer. Overall great experience.
I was quite pleased with my experience at Arbor Dental. As a new patient, Dr Jaffer called me the day before my visit to ask if there was anything he or his staff could do to make my experience more comfortable.My interactions with all the employees during my visit were pleasant. They were very friendly and open about what was happening. During my preliminary examination and cleaning, the hygienist explained what she was seeing in my mouth and the procedure she was performing to address it. A step that I had never experienced at the dentist included them taking digital photos of my mouth and displaying them on the TV screen in front of me so that I could see the state of my teeth before cleaning. They were also familiar with my dental insurance and were able to work with me to gain the most beneficial treatment covered by my insurance.The cleaning was not painful. The hygienist was very careful with the metal picks when scraping and did not catch my gums. The flossing might have been a bit rough but it was not overly bothersome.In the end, my teeth checked out great by the dentist and I walked away happy. The slight staining that I saw in the preliminary photos was completely gone by the end.I will definitely be going back and would recommend this dentist to others in the area.
I took my 16 yr old daughter there to have her wisdom teeth extracted. In the initial consultation Dr. Jaffer spent a lot of time going over her xrays and what to expect on the day of the procedure. He was so kind, professional and reassuring and explained everything in great detail. The procedure went very smoothly without complication and she recovered quickly. Dr. Jaffer is very skilled and competent and he and his staff are all very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Arbor Dental.
Going to the Dentist is not my favorite experience by a long shot. That being said Dr. Jaffer and his staff always make me feel very comfortable and welcome and put me right at ease no matter what Im getting done. Ive had to have some serious work done here, 3 crowns so far, and Dr. Jaffer has been excellent for each procedure. By far the best dentist Ive had in my life! Please dont have any concerns about Covid, this office is taking it very seriously and taking every pre-caution to ensure patient safety in every regard.
This was by far my worst dentist experience. I scheduled a new patient appointment with them to get a routine cleaning. When I scheduled the appointment they were in my insurance network, but they changed dental coverage sometime before my appointment so I was no longer covered. When I came in for my appointment, they never mentioned that I no longer was covered by insurance. After the cleaning they informed me that I had some cavities that needed to be filled so I said go ahead. At this point they started to act a little strange and brought the estimate over to me to sign, still not saying that my insurance isnt covered. Due to my lack of knowledge of my insurance plan and how much fillings should cost, I signed the agreement.Dr. Shin drilled and filled my cavities which was an experience of its own. He completed 3 filling faster than any dentist Ive been to before which made me a little concerned. I felt like they were more concerned with treating as many patients as possible, rather than doing good quality repair work on their teeth. Also the bond that they used felt like sandpaper which I have not experienced before. When I mentioned something, Dr. Shin said that was normal and should smooth overtime. It never did and caused irritation on my tongue. A few months down the road I ended up having to get all three fillings redone, by a new dentist, because 2 fell off and I was having pain when chewing with the remaining one.After my appointment I reviewed my insurance coverage, because I thought the cost seemed a little high. I called Arbor Dental the next day and told them what it should have cost based on my coverage. They then told me they were no longer in my network anymore. I asked why I was never told that when I came in, and they did not have an answer. After some arguing I got them to refund some of the money, but the cost was still higher than it should have been.In conclusion, this was the worst dentist I have ever been to and I would not recommend them to anyone.
Was put under IV sedation for a recent wisdom teeth extraction, and it went incredibly well! Kira (hope I spelled this right) and Dr. Jaffer were very patient with me and calmed my mind about the whole process. I didnt make it easy for them, since Im a mouth breather, but they were able to get my teeth extracted in half the quoted time and helped me all the way to my girlfriends car and buckled my seat belt.Im also very thankful to the team for calling me out of the blue to let me know that my insurance would cover this and for following through every step of the way.Id highly recommend getting your wisdom teeth out here, and I will be back later this year for their Invisalign treatment
Two weeks ago I broke my front tooth (crown got severed from the root), I went to Dr. Jaffe for the root extraction and to put in an inplant . Prior to the procedure I was extremely anxious and afraid but I was pleasantly surprised to have a great experience. I had no pain during nor after the procedure, and he even put a temporary crown for esthetic purposes. Overall I am extremely happy, Dr. Jaffer is a very competent and professional dentist, he has a gentle yet confident touch and he makes patients feel comfortable so if you are looking for a dentist I highly recommend him. You will be satisfied.

Dr. Jaffer is really willing to work with whatever situation youre in. He made special arrangements to get me invisalign treatment even when I was going to be overseas for practically the entire treatment period. My teeth look great now!That being said, I never had a cavity diagnosis until I went to Dr. Jaffer, and since have had quite a few cavity diagnoses despite very little (temporary slight sensitivity) or no pain. Seeing another review with similar comments, I am planning to look elsewhere for further treatment.
Seriously the best dentist experience Ive ever had. Super clean and organized. Everyones super friendly and answered all my questions. The hygienist was AMAZING! I hadnt been to the dentist in years and she cleaned my teeth to perfection and didnt hurt me at all. No gum poking or pain at all. SERIOUSLY. it was awesome. Im so happy with my experience there. The dentist was very kind and answered all my questions and the exam was super quick and easy. They also have awesome technology where they can take photos of your teeth with this little pen and show you everything. Really awesome.
5/5 stars I went in to get 3 wisdom teeth pulled last Monday. I went in they put me under the IV and next thing I know I’m awake with all 3 wisdom teeth removed. It was painless procedure I didn’t feel any pain until the next day, which was probably because I was taking my meds every 6 hours, and even then the pain was more of a nuisance than something I wanted to alleviate quickly.Would definitely recommend to friends/family especially since UMich isn’t taking patients right now
Excellent experience as usual! Dr.Jaffer is highly competent and very personable. He extracted all 4 of my wisdom teeth and the day after the surgery, I got an hour long circuit training workout in without feeling a thing. During and after the surgery his staff and him kept me very comfortable. The only regret I have is why I didnt do this sooner!

I got my wisdom tooth removed at Arbor Dental. What a wonderful experience from start to finish! I was able to get back to work the day after. The office staff were very polite and courteous in scheduling the appt. Dr. Jaffer called me up the day before with instructions for taking medication prior to the surgery. He also check in on me for the next two days. At work, my colleagues commented that he must have been really skilled because there was minimal swelling. The pain management techniques were also awesome. They ensured that I stay ahead of the pain throughout. Overall, a both professionally and personally gratifying experience.
Came to Arbor Dental when an old silver filling fell out. Dont remember much about the appointment except they were able to get me in quickly which was obviously a priority. Ive since moved away and just visited another dentist, who commented on the high quality of the dental work I had had done, and said he doesnt always see work of this high quality.

Both dentists that I have seen seem genuinely concerned about me and my oral health, and have provided a thorough examination of my teeth. And I have never waited long for my appointment.

I had a dental emergency while traveling through Michigan. I visited or connected over eight dental offices in two cities and none had openings or were willing to work me into their Monday schedules. I called Arbor Dental and they felt my my pain, within minutes I was seen by Dr Garcia. Arbor Dental: professional, respectful and considerate. An office of just friendly and nice people.
BRIEF SUMMARY:Dr. Jaffer and his staff care about your treatment, want the best for your dental health, and are very flexible to work out care packages or payment plans that benefit you. Appointments are rarely on time.DETAILED SUMMARY:I have been going to Arbor Dental since 2011. At the risk of over hyping it, I would say that for me it has been the best dentist experience Ive ever had.Lets start with the bad. When my appointment is at 10am, I know that it will be at 10:15am at the very earliest. This sort of thing drives me nuts. I run a business myself so time is literally money for me. Since I know this is the case, Im able to plan for it at least. It still bothers me.Dr. Jaffer is a rare talent in this industry. Knowledgeable yet patient and receptive to any length of amateur questions about dental (Ive had my fair share, and he patiently answers all of them). His consul alone is worth the price of admission.Ive had routine cleaning, cavities filled, and a root canal from their office. Lets face it... all of these things suck. Thats just life. But at Arbor Dental these things sucked a little bit less than normal.Healthcare is an art. The Dentists are the artists and they attempt to interpret what is put in front of them every day. Ive notice some folks claiming they were misdiagnosed, and I fully acknowledge that this is a possibility. Hell, Dr. Jaffer would probably acknowledge the same thing.Personally, Id rather get a cavity filled than wait too long and have it result in a full root canal. To each their own. All I know is that Arbor Dental never came across as money hungry to me. I felt like they gave me their honest opinion and left me to decide for myself. Some folks go for other opinions and decide differently. Thats fine, and that shouldnt be a knock against people who are trying to look out for your well being.Ill finish with this... I read one post where someone implied Dr. Jaffer and Arbor Dental suggested a procedure that wasnt necessary for financial gain. Well, I have the opposite experience. I wanted to whiten my teeth, and thought that in order to do so Id need to get some veneers due to some malformation on my front tooth.I went to Dr. Jaffer personally and asked him. He adamantly rejected veneers. Even though his office could have made a TON of money by suggesting them to me, he gave me his honest opinion. He told me to use a rather basic whitener so as to keep the integrity of my teeth. Super cheap (in comparison) to what could have happened. And you know what? He was right. It ended up being a great outcome.When you choose a dentist you are hoping to form a long relationship. I am grateful that Ive had Dr. Jaffer and his staff looking over my teeth the past 8 years. Im pretty upset that I have to find a new office (due to a move to California). Ive contemplated coming back to Michigan to Arbor Dental if I ever need something significant done. Thats how much I value them.
I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere at Arbor Dental. In short, I will be going back again after a good first experience.This experience was a good one seeing as this is my first time going to a new dentist in my life. I finally moved permanently far enough away from my last dentist to warrant this change.My Arbor Dental hygienist was very friendly and knowledgeable. While a soft selling by mentioning some items such as bite guards and fluoride toothpaste after the mention of clenching (with an implant) and sensitive teeth they were not pushy, just informative. Even when challenged to explain and demo how the bite guard works an example was produced and explained well enough to satisfy my curiosity.The regular cleaning went well and the low power x-ray and digital system integration made things efficient and transparent. I really liked that I could signup online and receive email reminders.I did not get to see Dr. Jaffer as he was taking too long with another patient but another qualified lady whos name escapes me conducted my inspection. There was a hint of expedition to keep on schedule, but nothing jeopardized my comfort or safety.
I came here for a routine cleaning and to have my impacted wisdom teeth removed.At the dental cleaning, I mentioned in passing that I had a small mouth so the x-rays hurt, and the hygienist took a 2-second look and fit me with a different size that was comfortable--first dentist to ever do this! I loved that they showed me exactly what they were talking about with pictures and x-rays, and I feel they really did do everything possible to make me comfortable. I have sensory issues due to mild autism that makes the dentist very uncomfortable for me; this experience was the best I could hope for. 5 stars!As for the wisdom teeth, they called me frequently to make sure that I knew what would happen and then to follow-up and make sure I was doing all right. They were excellent about answering questions I and my mother had. I would have liked a little more post-operative care information afterwards, since I ended up being too out of it to ask questions, and information on what exactly the drugs they gave me were and their side effects; this is just as much my fault as theirs, though. 4 1/2 stars!I would highly recommend Arbor Dental to anyone, especially if you have any fears. They will make an unpleasant experience as good as it can be.

Excellent experience with Invisalign! Dr. Jaffer expertly (and patiently) corrected a particularly challenging/stubborn misalignment. He and his staff were always flexible with scheduling, which was an added bonus.
I have been going to Arbor Dental for about 6 years now. I have had a retainer and bite guard from them, and countless cleanings and occasional cavities filled. Billing is always easy to understand and prompt as well.Every time I visit the Dr is prompt, straightforward and honest. Dr Jaffer recommended a bite guard and my ENT also told me it would help with perceived sinus pressure. It alleviated all my problems. I cant be happier with the service I receive.I will continue to be a patient as long as I can.
The new facility of Arbor Dental is eye opening. I have been to many dental facilities during my 28 years in he Michigan. I would rate this facility the highest grade. Staff is highly professional and growing under the leadership of Dr. Jaffer.Dr. Jaffer was helping and advising me even when I was overseas. I came to Arbor Dental on the recommendation of a friend. My own dentist had insisted that my wisdom teeth were fine and no action was needed, but I was in pain and wanted a second opinion. My friend raved about the amazing job Arbor Dental did on a difficult wisdom tooth extraction she had. When I called Arbor Dental, the person I spoke to had some of the best customer service skills Ive ever come across. I was frankly pretty panicky at the time, and she was extremely sympathetic and unbelievably knowledgeable about the situation and about the different levels of insurance offered at U of M, which there was no reason for her to know but I really appreciated it. She was able to get an appointment for me the very next business day. At this appointment, Dr. Jaffer took at look at my x-rays and my teeth and determined that all of my wisdom teeth needed to be removed immediately. I was able to have the one tooth that was already pushed through the gums removed by Dr. Iyer in the same appointment with just local anesthetic. She did an AMAZING job. I honestly felt no pain except for the slight twinge when getting injected with the local anesthetic. Then, I came back 2 weeks later for oral surgery to remove the other two wisdom teeth. I was sedated for this and it was performed by Dr. Jaffer. Everything went really smoothly. One thing I really appreciate about Dr. Jaffer is that he really listens to his patients and really cares about them. I was amazed the first time he called me personally to see how I was feeling after my extraction. He also gives you his personal cell phone number to use before or after the surgery in case of emergency (luckily I havent needed it!). Thank you so much Dr. Jaffer, Dr. Iyer, and Arbor Dental!

Dr. Jaffer and the team always make me feel comfortable (and I have some severe dentist anxiety). I hopped dentists in Ann Arbor for a while, until I finally found this place worth coming back to. I especially like that I dont have to schedule a second appointment if something comes up that we want to add on to a cleaning (like getting ready for whitening). The team is always willing and usually able to stick around past the appointment and make it happen.

I got my wisdom teeth extracted at Arbor Dental one week ago. Doctor Jaffer is very experienced and willing to work with my schedule. My teeth are partially or fully impacted so Dr. Jaffer used IV sedation on me. I didnt feel any pain during the process. For the first two days after surgery, I didnt go through the pain that was described by my friends and only had two pain killer pills. I went back to my normal diet the third day after my surgery. Arbor Dental is highly recommended if you are considering about getting your wisdom teeth extracted.
I am a brand new patient at Arbor Dental and just had my wisdom teeth removed on Monday. Arbor Dental is the best!!! Not only are they more knowledgeable and informative than any dental office Ive ever been to, theyre also extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I lost my health insurance and had only one week to complete everything I needed and they made it happen. Since then they have been so helpful and sweet and even began a very affordable program for those without insurance. With their advanced technology, short wait times, and commitment to excellent customer service, I very highly recommend Dr. Jaffer and his amazing team!
I had 3 impacted wisdom teeth removed by Dr.Jaffer. I went to another oral surgeon before Dr.Jaffer and he told me that I had a very high chance of paralysis for one of my wisdom teeth. I was very nervous about getting this tooth removed, but Dr.Jaffer assured me everything would be ok. So, I decided to get the procedure done. I got the iv sedation and everything went great. I have no swelling and I got the feeling back in my face the same day. The staff and Dr.Jaffer was very friendly. Dr.Jaffer called me personally the next day to check on me and give me after care instructions. I would highly recommend Arbor Dental to anyone thats in need of dental work. I will be using Dr.Jaffer for any dental work I may need in the future.

When my dentist retired and I had to find a new practice for myself and my family, Ive got one of the Groupon deals to check out this dental office. I have a great experience every time I come. From the front desk to hygienists and doctors everyone is friendly and helpful and running on time. Clean, modern office with up to date equipment and great service. Would recommend for anyone who is looking for a good, solid practice for whole family.
The pair of teeth implants I needed are completely done now, a process that goes over a period of months. Every step of the way, I received excellent treatment from Dr. Jaffer and all their staff members. This week I had a cleaning done by dental hygienist Leah and she is the best. Great dentist and dental office. The staff are all very competent and welcoming. Dr. Jaffer explains what he is doing in clear and helpful language and I truly feel well cared for every time. Dr. Jaffer and his staff are well versed in all of the most advanced dental techniques. I first consulted this practice on a complicated set of problems with my teeth. I am now well on my way to addressing all of the issues with state of the art solutions including multiple implants, bone grafts and sinus lifts and invisalign and whitening. I have never encountered such an excellent dentist and staff before in the 40+ years I have been selecting my own dental providers.

I just had surgery on 3/9/2017. I had two teeth pulled with implants placed. Dr Jaffer was very helpful on educating me on the procedure and what to expect post op. He called me the night before. I recently visited Dr. Jaffers office, due to experiencing extreme pain on the lower left side of my mouth, and also not visiting a dentist office in 6 years. In my initial consultation with Dr. Jaffer, it was discovered that I have an infected cavity in one of my wisdom teeth (causing the immense pain on the left side of my mouth) in addition, I had early stages of gum disease, and 10 cavities that needed to be filled.Im someone who has extreme anxiety when it comes to the dentist (hence not visiting a dentist in 6 years). I do not recall a single dental visit in my life that was pleasant, and im 31 years old. After discussing my options and my experiences with Dr. Jaffer, he suggested that I get everything done at once under conscious sedation. I was skeptical because that was 6 hours of work that needed to be done, and the sedation was not general anesthesia, so I was concerned that I would still feel pain or discomfort, if not some level of anxiety through all of that work.Im extremely happy to share that my experience was perfect. I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out, all 10 cavities filled, my gums treated and teeth cleaned, and did not feel a single thing. In fact, im two days out from having my work done, and I still have yet to feel even the slightest pain. Ive only taken my antibiotics and ibuprofen to manage the inflammation, but have not needed to take any of my prescribed vicodin! I could not be more pleased with Dr. Jaffer and his amazing staff in their patience, empathy and professionalism. Every single person I came into contact with made me feel comfortable, cared for and safe. I now have a whole new outlook on visiting the dentist, and will be bringing my business to Dr. Jaffer as long as he is there. If you are someone who experiences anxiety visiting the dentist, I highly suggest you do the same. I guarantee you, you will not be disappointed!
I was new to Ann Arbor and saw the good reviews for Arbor Dental so I decided to go see them as a new patient for a routine cleaning. During my cleaning, the hygienist was extremely nice and did an excellent job during the cleaning and x-ray process. After my x-rays and cleaning, I saw the dentist. She poked around in my mouth and looked at my x-rays, then proceeded to tell me I had 10 (yes 10) cavities that needed filled. When she told me this, it seemed a bit odd as I have only had 3 cavities ever, and never more than one at a time. They then took me into a room and told me it was going to cost me $1500 after insurance for all the work I needed done. This came as a shock to me as I have never had to get this much dental work done. Since I was skeptical, I sent my x-rays to my old dentist and she proceeded to tell me she only saw one tiny cavity that could be restored with regular flossing and fluoride. After that, I decided to get another look from another local Ann Arbor dentist. I went in, he re-took my x-rays, poked around in my mouth, and told me I did not need any fillings at this time and that they would watch two small spots, but he was confident I could re-mineralize them. Needless to say, I am now extremely disappointed in my visit to Arbor Dental and will not be returning. Even though I had to spend my time and money going to get a second opinion, it saved me a lot of money (and mouth numbing) in the long run.

I went to see Dr. Jaffer when I had some sudden pain in my jaw and knew that it was finally time to have my wisdom teeth removed. My previous dentist was laid back about having them taken out, and I had avoid going to a new dentist for longer than I should have when he retired. At age 30, I was told by friends and family that it would be a very painful experience to have my wisdom teeth taken out, so I was prepared for the worst.Before the surgery, Dr. Jaffer seemed confident that by his hand, it would be a short recovery process, but I had my doubts. Those doubts doubled when I learned that two of the teeth were impacted. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that his confidence was well founded. I felt very little pain the evening of the surgery, and I was able to tolerate normal food in a day or two. On the third day, I was off of the stronger pain medication and even managed to eat chicken wings without much pain (Im not necessarily endorsing this recovery diet, though).A few months later I can say that everything has healed up 100% and there were no complications with the surgery whatsoever. I have recommended Dr. Jaffer to several friends and family members, and will continue to do so in the future.
I have been visiting this clinic for over an year now. The staff is very friendly and all the providers are very professional. They always take the time to explain every procedure. I am currently taking the invisalign treatment here. I strongly recommend this clinic.

Dr Jaffer removed two of my 14 year olds wisdom teeth with sedation. Finished early. My son had minimal bleeding. Post surgery recovery went very well. Very satisified with outcome.

Arbor dental is great and Dr Jaffer is really a nice and caring dentist!I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted in Arbor Dental yesterday (March 3rd). The night before the operation, he called me and carefully went through the pre-op instructions to ensure that I understand what medication I need to take. Although I cannot remember what happened during the wisdom extraction yesterday due to the sedation, I only had little bleeding after the operation and everything else was perfectly fine. I dont feel much pain today and begin my normal diet.In fact, I was surprised about how well the extraction went on for me after hearing from people who suffered a lot when they had their wisdom teeth extracted. The experience may vary from person to person due to a lot of other factors such as individuals physical conditions, but at least from the perspective of the dentists expertise and their services, Arbor dental is definitely one of the best places you should check out!
Highly recommended: I had my 4 wisdom teeth removed under IV sedation. Everything went perfect. I was playing socer the next day. Dr Jaffer was nice enough to accommodate his schedule to perform the surgery on a Saturday for my convenience. Ive been treated multiple times in this office, the staff is very friendly and professional. And on top of all this, they have very hight-tech devices!
Excellent staff and dentist (Dr. Jaffer). They do sedation dentistry. The doctor calls you the night before and the night after your surgery to see how you are doing. He takes the time to talk to you about any concerns, as do the staff. Highly recommend.
Had wisdom teeth extracted without any problems under conscious sedation. Procedure itself was quick and painless (less than 2 hours for all four). Also easy and convenient to schedule appointments, including a quick follow-up regarding post-op pain. Dr. Jaffer is quick and responsive to patients needs and I highly recommend him for extractions.

I visited Arbor Dental for wisdom teeth extraction with IV sedation. Dr. Jaffer and the assistants there are very welcoming. I did not feel any pain during the whole surgery process and recovered soon afterwards.I really appreciate Dr. Jaffers work.
Arbor Dental refuse to allow a service dog in their office. Then they refer you to Delta Dental insurance. Finding out that Delta dental scams you and lies about your plan. I got the premium plan to do full extractions, which should have covered all of my teeth being extracted. And Delta dental says it will only cover $1,000 of $5,500. If I could give Zero stars I would. Dont go with these people.
Dr. Jaffer and his entire office is wonderful!!!! I have been going for about 6 years now and have always been taken care of with excellent care. I had my 4 month old baby with me during an appointment when he normally would have napped for me but of course he didnt. Sarah held my son for an hour in a half for me while I had my dental work done!!!!!!!!!! Dr. Jaffer personally has called me many times to follow up and make sure I am doing ok. I have recommended his office to many people. Love Leah also, she is great at cleaning my 3 year olds teeth! Dipti ROCKS and really everyone here is GREAT!!!!!
I approached this dental visit with palpable fear, shame and pain. I had not sought the help of a dentist in over a decade and my mouth held the proof. The staff at Arbor was welcoming, calm and friendly even though I was a talkative, avoidant wreck. Indeed the x-rays HAD to happen and yes there were extractions and I will face more but the professionalism and environment of a modern office (my dental memories are of the 1980s, 70s) were easy to endure. They knew just how to approach me, you know? I am excited to go back and continue the journey towards healing my mouth after all these years! I know.... I cant believe Im saying this.I think Ive finally found My Dentist.Really very impressed.
I recently had a front lower tooth built-up to its pre-chip state. Dr. Levin did a fantastic job. She took so much care matching my tooth color with the veneer material; yet she worked quickly and I was out of the chair and on the road back to Brighton before I knew it. Yes, I travel from Brighton to Ann Arbor for my dental appointments because I think that much of all the dentists and employees at Arbor Dental.
I just recently moved to the Ann Arbor area and needed to find a dentist. Having no prior knowledge of the area I Googled for a creditable dentist and came across Arbor Dental. I thought I would take a risk and give them a try. I am sure glad I did! They have been nothing but fantastic! Having never had a cavity before, I was used to only going to the dentist for routine cleanings. However, I learned that I needed a filling. Arbor Dental, made this a very informative and painful process. I now have 1 filling and am unaware that it is even there. They will be my dentist for the whole time I live in the Ann Arbor area!
I have my invisalign treatment in Arbor Dental by Dr. Jaffer. Dr. Jaffer and his staff are very nice and reliable. They are also being very flexible to make an appointment for me on Saturday due to my schedule conflict. I have such a great experience there and highly recommend to others who are searching for dental service in this area especially for invisalign.
I have the worst anxiety going to the dentist. I have never once left with a good taste in my mouth (no pun intended). I always feel the drill when they do dental work, and it always hurts.I took a chance going to Arbor Dental on a whim, and not only was I treated well in my social/billing interactions, they did a wonderful job on my tooth. The dentist numbed me up enough to where I didnt feel anything and the experience as a whole was A+
Dr. Jaffer prescribed a bite guard for my teeth grinding issue. Stubborn me...didnt wear it consistently as he told me too. Ended up having Tinnitus and pressure issue with my ear. After an ENT visit and tests, turns out, I should have listened...it was all due to not wearing my bite guard. Dr. Jaffer was ahead of the game when he noticed that I was grinding during my routine teeth cleaning visit! My entire family has gone here for years (kids since they were 1.5 years old). We highly recommend!

I went to Arbor Dental to see Dr. Jaffar after going to two other orthodontists about getting invisalign. The other orthodontists said they would need to remove 4 of my teeth and give me regular braces and that invisalign was not an option. With Dr. Jaffar I was able to keep all my teeth and get invisalign! The staff at Arbor Dental are all friendly and helpful!
The quality of dental care that Ive received at this office was fine, but its business practices are questionable. My husband, who is an immigrant and previously only received care in a different country had ordered invisalign through this practice after being told that our insurance partially covered it. We were even given a paper estimate that accounted for the insurance coverage amount. When we were billed for the full amount of the procedure, we called and was told that our insurance actually didnt cover the procedure for individuals older than 18. While Dr. Jaffer did call my husband personally to apologize for the misunderstanding and refund us a small portion of what the insurance was suppose to cover, the whole thing felt a little sketchy and dishonest. I felt like the practice took advantage of my husband and his unfamiliarity with dental care/insurance in the US.
I was referred to Arbor Dental last fall when I was researching dental practices that could help take care of a complicated extraction and implant procedure. I met with Dr. Jaffer and his staff to discuss potential options for the procedures and the expected outcomes. He was very thorough in explaining the procedure and what the process would be down the road. Before the extraction, I met with Dr. Hile to have a few fillings placed. She was great!! She is very passionate about providing great customer service along with a high standard of care. I was very impressed with the work performed by Dr. Hile, especially because of how gentle and thorough she was. I have since gone back to Arbor Dental for exams and check-ups for the next step in my implant procedure. Dr. Jaffer came in on Saturday, his day off, to meet with me and discuss my current status and timing for the next step in placing an implant. Again, Dr. Jaffer was very thorough in explaining everything and took his time doing so, even though it was his day off and weekend! I really appreicated that he took the time to go into detail and discuss cases/success stories and not seeming rushed in doing so. He wanted to make sure that i was conformtable and conifidnet in everything before i left. I definetly felt like a valued patient and not just a number to get in and out the door! I also met with Dr. Hile on that Saturday to have a cleaning performed and a couple fillings placed. Once again, Dr. Hile provided thorough and gentle procedures, so much so that I was falling asleep while she was working on my fillings, Awesome! Dr. Jaffer and ALL of his staff have gone above and beyond with extraction/implant procedures and routine care, so much so that I continue to drive from Traverse City (4 Hrs. from his Office) to have an exceptional experience while receiving the highest quality of care. I highly recommend Arbor Dental, Dr. Jaffer and Dr. Hile for your dentistry care!!
I came to Dr Jaffers office for wisdom teeth removal and found a dentist that I will continue coming too regularly for life. I had a great fear of the procedure and Dr Jaffer and his team very quickly put a lot of that to ease. He called me the night before the procedure and walked me through everything and answered all of my questions that were still lingering made sure I understood the medication instructions, everything. The morning after the procedure he called me again to find out how I was doing and to follow up and let me know how everything went on his end of the procedure. I couldnt have asked for a better overall experience! I recommend Dr Jaffer and his team to any body whos looking for dentist!
I had my wisdom teeth extracted under IV sedation, including one tricky sideways tooth. Dr. Jaffer and his staff are skilled and were very polite through the whole process. From right after the surgery to 24 hours later as I write this, Ive have very little pain, swelling, or bleeding. I couldnt be happier with how it all went.
I had teeth implant done by Dr. Jaffer recently. Dr. Jaffer conducted a perfect surgical operation. The process was quite smooth and extremely successful. I didnt feel any pain and there is no complication. I was able to eat and drink almost right after the surgery. Dr. Jaffer is not only a great doctor, but also a very kind person who takes care of his patient. He always tries his best to explain the procedures and gives detailed instructions for the medicine and the thing that the patient should pay attention to. He called me twice after the implant operation to make sure everything is fine with me. I worried little bit before this implant surgery. However, I decided to have another implant next year because the wonderful experience I had with Dr. Jaffer. There is no doubt that I highly recommend Dr. Jaffer to people who need to have implant.

I had a dental appointment this past Friday on May 17, 2019. My appointment was for a cleaning and it was discovered that I had a cracked tooth. I needed to have a crown. The staff at the office to charge made sure the process went as planned. Im pain free on the next day. What a terrific staff. Thanks for your assistance.
I began going to Arbor Dental a couple of years ago for cleanings and I have had bleaching done as well but decided recently to also get Invisalign to straighten my teeth. I have never had braces, but from what I know about them, Invisalign is a piece of cake! It is convenient to use, painless with no sharp edges, almost completely unnoticeable to others and combined with Acceledent is a very fast treatment. I am changing retainers every five days instead of every fourteen and my treatment time has been decreased by more than 50%! I got both the Invisalign and Acceledent through Dr. Jaffer. He has me coming in about once every 3-4 weeks to make sure everything is moving like it is supposed to. He is so patient in explaining the answers to questions that I ask, even showing me educational apps on his Ipad to make the information simple and clear. He also has a calm demeanor which I appreciate from a man who is holding a drill, saw and other potentially scary tools! My favorite part is when I get to look at my treatment video which shows me how much my teeth have moved over time and where they will end up based on each retainer. His staff is very friendly and they usually address me by name and are professional and friendly. Arbor Dental is a clean facility that offers coffee and bottled water in the lobby. The location is easy to get to for me and I am in and out by the time my lunch break is over. If you forgot to brush before leaving work, there are toothbrushes in the bathroom for quick touch ups. I have never had difficulty in finding parking here, honestly I have never parked anywhere other than right in front of the entrance and no, I am not handicapped. I really like this place and the feeling that I am with family, and will likely miss the staff when I have to return to only seeing them once every six months.

I had a root canal that needed to be done, and the first time it was done (from somewhere else) - it went all bad, so for my second root Canal I decided to go to Arbor Dental- Flew From New York to Ann Arbor for the procedure - and it was Amazing- Felt no Pain - as the Doctor did a good job Numbing my mouth, and was taken care of like a family member- Very Hygenic :-)) I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and with precautionary health measure (gloves, masks, etc.) Dr Jaffer Assured me that I will be taken care of and that put me at so much ease just by the word and procedure was a bonus! I would definately Recommend this practice to ALL!!!
I bought a Groupon deal to this dental place for a general checkup, x-rays and cleaning. Upon starting the checkup I was told that Id have to go through other procedures and that the regular cleaning and checkup wouldnt work. Of course all those other procedures were expensive. I said Id think about it but when I went to check out, the lady at the desk would not stop badgering me about paying for those procedures immediately. No amount of telling her that I needed to think about it would make her stop. She kept demanding that I pay right then and there for something that would be done at a later date. I just walked out. I went to a different dentist who looked at my teeth and said that a normal cleaning was more than enough. I will never go to or recommend Arbor Dental ever again.
Had my first filling here and I STILL like the dentist. Very thorough, explain things. Great technology--seem to be up on the latest. Friendly, good staff. Have seen most of them at some point.Did get my teeth whitened here and would not do it again. Burned a couple spots on my gums bad enough that I couldnt brush regular for a week--plus didnt really see much in terms of results. Still like the place for regular dentist stuff, but would not try whitening here ever again.
When I started looking for a new dentist office after having moved to Ann Arbor I truly didnt know where to start. I tried to go off of reviews and word of mouth but there were just so many choices. My mom told me that the rest of the family bought a Group On for Arbor Dental in which they claimed the customer service was fantastic. I was sold because I trust my my mom and I was tired of looking lol.When I went there you could immediately tell that everyone there loved their job and was happy to have you use their services. The dental hygienist gave me an awesome cleaning and all the other dentist kept coming in and sparking up good conversation. They gave me x-rays and answered several questions about a concerning tooth that was turning yellow and options about a few gaps in my four front teeth. These were two insecurities that have been on my mind a long time about fixing one day.Now I am someone who is always concerned about paying too much at the dentist because I have had a few bad experiences in the past. Dr. Jaffer ran through the several options I could take in creating the perfect smile and all of the different prices and payment options. After taking all of his information and getting other quotes, I found that Dr. Jaffer was really giving me a more then fair price. Now the one question was which option do I take? I chose to do the KOR Whitening Treatment and bonding because it was perfect for what I was looking for; It was timely, the right price and didnt require any pain lol. The other concern obviously with any cosmetic work is are they good at cosmetics? The answer is absolutely YES.I waited for 2 1/2 weeks to write this review because I couldnt believe that a smile this great was going to last. I mean it took some getting used too because at first it didnt feel like your teeth and I was just waiting for them to fall out lol. Well the teeth stayed in and yesterday someone who I just met said wow, you have a great smile. This was something I have wanted to hear for a very long time so thank you very much Dr. Jaffer and your team. I have been a manager in the customer service business for a while now and I have to say that your team nailed it! Keep up the good work and thanks for the new smile!
My wife and I were excited about having a dentist close by but the attention to detail made us decide to cancel our appointments. I provided all our information in an email as directed and they misspelled her name and sent the forms to the wrong person. I was not happy with this level of attention to detail, especially being a professional practice.
I hate going to the dentist more than anything - it scares me to death. However, the staff at Arbor Dental are exceptional. They knew I was scared and did everything they could to help. They even worked with us to lower the out of pocket payment by one third through our insurance. Out of all the dentist clinics I have been to, this one is by far the best! I would highly recommend it.
First, let me say I havent been to dentist in years because I am terrified of needles and anything to do with the medical profession. I am the person who passes out at even the discussion of medical things. I called Dr. Jaffers office and his staff was extremely nice and helpful scheduling the appointment. The day before my appointment Dr. Jaffer (not an assistant) took the time to call me, and not to remind me of my appointment, but to discuss what was wrong and how he could help me. Once I arrived at the office I could not have been treated any better. All of his staff recognized my fear and was super nice to me. Dr. Jaffer took his time with me to explain my issue and how he can fix it for me. Time is money for people in this profession but you would not have know it the way that he treated me. He was very unhurried and patient answering all of my silly questions. I had never had an IV before due to obvious fears but even I was able to undergo this because of Dr. Jaffers care. Then I wake up and it is all over. Unbelievable, I did not even know he pulled my infected broken off wisdom tooth. Upon completion, he inquired how I was getting home as he requested me not to drive due to the medication. He cared enough to not let a stranger like taxi or Uber come to get me fearing someone unknown could take advantage of somoene just coming out from medical care. So he called someone he personally knows to take me home. Then he even personally called me that night to see how I was doing. The best part is it did not hurt one bit and still does not hurt the next day. I feel completely normal just no infected wisdom tooth now which is amazing to me after previous wisdom tooth removal at another dentist. Bottom line is he never had met me or knew me as this was my first time to his office and feel like his entire staff treated me like family. Thank you and your staff Dr. Jaffer.

The facility is nice. I have been there three times and they are always on time. They communicate with me via text and email to remind and confirm appointments. They provide the right amount of detail to explain costs and insurance payment. Booking appointements is very easy. The above reasons are why I switched from my dentist that I have been with for 15 years. I am very happy at this time.
Few issues: Had no problem/pain/sensitivity before work was done. After, I have highly sensitive teeth because the old cavities were very deep and had to be deepened to fix. Well, this was not mentioned originally, only after I came back for a second visit to complain did they mention that. I would of told them to leave it alone.3 months later and I still have an issue. After the return for a bite adjustment to fix it, they said give it some more time, and that sensitivity/pain lasting under 30 seconds was OK.I wont be returning, Ill find someone else to fix it.The hygienist was very friendly though, and explained the cleaning/exam well.
Dr. Jaffer is top of the line when it comes to Denistry. He is gentle, and professional all while having amazing bed side manners. Being someone who is a little scary, Id recommend him to ANYONE, ANY day of the week for ANY dental work. He and his staff are AMAZING!
Tried to charge me for a service I did not receive. Also I have paid for a filling that they apparently did not make record of even though I have record of it and they refuse to acknowledge that it has been paid. In fact, they say that tooth is being redone…. But it was never done to begin with.
I really like how Arbor Dental seems to always have high tech gadgets to improve my experience. Like the iTero scanner they used to simulate my Invisaligns treatment to help me make a better decision.Speaking of Invisalign, Im halfway through my treatment and so glad I took their advice and went for it. Attached pictures of my original scan and another one from today(3 months later).
Dr. Jaffer was very good. He got my wisdom tooth out with no problems and even gave me a discount because I had no insurance. He was very careful to insure that it was a pain free and informed experience. I would highly recommend this business.

No offense to those that go into the dental profession, but I am hate, and I mean hate, going to see the dentist. Well, I should say hated, past tense. While making a dental appointment still isnt on the top of my to-do list, since meeting Dr. Jaffer, I dont cringe at the thought of sitting in the dental chair. The best example of my recent change of heart has to do with get my wisdom teeth out. Something that I had procrastinated doing since my mid-teens. Dr. Jaffer was the lucky dentist that had to walk this beyond resistant individual through the process. And you know? It really wasnt that bad! Dr. Jaffer called me the night before the procedure to walk me through what was going to happen the next morning. Then, when I came into the office for the surgery, he and his staff were waiting for me and ready to go. The procedure was over before I knew it, and to top it all off, Dr. Jaffer called the next evening (a Saturday, mind you) to check-up on me! Talk about a full-service, caring Doctor. Lets just say, he has a patient for life.
I have been going here since around 2012 and I would highly recommend them. Everyone is friendly, professional, and good at what they do. They do a good job explaining things and are very up front with cost that is not covered by insurance. They are also very helpful with working with any scheduling issues.I have also been doing Invisalign with them. I am not done yet, but I am happy with the results so far.
I took my time finding an amazing dentist. I noticed that dr. jaffer had great reviews so I not only chose to go to him but I refused to go to anyone else and drove all the way to ann arbor to see him due to his appointments being booked in Taylor. This was the best decision I ever made. He was AMAZING. I was terrified of hurting and he was so gentle I literally had no idea he gave me shots in my mouth. I know that people say these things...but seriously, I usually need gas, not with him, not even a poke. He was so nice and took great care of me. He gave me antibiotics for a week which has helped my tooth pain tremendously and for once Im excited to be going to the dentist so he can fix my tooth. He has changed my whole outlook on the dentist. you can tell he loves his job and that his patients are important to him. I will never ever go to another dentist.
So I started this whole process a little over a year ago. My front tooth was loosing its bone therefore, the front tooth was slowly sliding off of my gum. One tooth was longer than the other. My co-worker referred me to Dr. Jaffer so there I went for consult. Procedure was to remove 4 wisdom teeth and along with the front one and one on the side. Total of 6 teeth pulled. I know.. sounds scary right? But actually the experience was above and beyond than what I was expecting. Day before the procedure, Dr. Jaffer calls to make sure that I was comfortable with the procedure and answered any last questions I had in regards to the procedure. The day of the procedure, I was put to sleep. When I woke up and went home for recovery, NO PAIN! Not a single pain!!! Even the day after... although a bit swollen but still NO PAIN!! Dr. Jaffer than called me the night of to check up on me, but I was asleep from the pain killer he gave me. So he called again the very next morning to make sure everything was good and I was comfortable.So remember the front tooth?? So since I was loosing bones there, when Dr. Jaffer was in there the first time, he put some bone graph in there in hope that I will grow some bones there. However, my body did not generate enough bone for the implant. Now... at this time, I was frustrated and disappointed. (This waiting process was 6 months)(At 6th month) Went in for procedure again for the 2nd time. This time was to remove a piece of my bone from my jar and transfer to the front. Hopefully my body will grow bone from my own bones. Now we have to wait for another 6 months to see how my body healed.(At 5th month) Went in there 2 days ago just to see 1 month shy from the 6 months to see if its all good to go.... Took xray and according to Dr. Jaffer, we were all good to go! STOKED!!!Went in yesterday to have implant put in. I was not asleep this time, was up with this procedure. Before going in, I was sooooo scared. Just thinking the needle poking my gum to numb it.... freaked me out. AGAIN! Dr. Jaffer surprised me once again, NO PAIN!!! He numbed the gum first before injecting me with the anesthesia, did not even feel the needle poking.Today, Im a bit swollen, but no surprise there. No pain at all. Cant wait for this to heal (3 to 4 months healing period) and then have my tooth put in... then Im all done!!THANKS DR. JAFFER!!! YOUVE BEEN AWSOME!!!!! Youre a very patience doctor. You totally understands your clients and you take care of their needs. You are very different from the other dentists that Ive been to. You exceeds my expectation every time Im in there. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!Will totally refer everyone that I know to your office!
First off, the office staff is ALWAYS very welcoming, caring & extremely accommodating, I love to see all of them! The hygienists are wonderful as well, they ALL (LOL!) literally have this way about them as to make you feel as thou youre kicked up comfortably in a recliner, feeling totally @ home, while enjoying their very uplifting company all @ the same time your receiving dental work. THE ATMOSPHERE HERE @ ARBOR DENTAL IS ONE OF A RELAXED, HAPPY & A MOST POSITIVE ENERGY THAT IS ALWAYS HERE IN THIS TINY OFFICE NO MATTER WHAT DAY OR HOUR YOU VISIT! I have a pretty severeanxiety disorder w/multiple phobias, normally a trip to the dentist office provokes EXTREME ANXIETY DAYS SOMETIMES WEEKS AHEAD OF TIME, BUT......NOT HERE! I DONT HAVE THIS HAPPEN AS IT NORMALLY WOULD BECAUSE OF THE ALL AROUND COMFORT AND REASSURANCE FROM ARBOR DENTALS COMPLETE STAFF EACH & EVERY VISIT. Needless to say my dentists there PUT CARE FIRST WHERE THEIR PATIENTS ARE CONCERNED. They first.care about your comfort level, and that you are ready for & feeling good, ready & willing to begin w/your procedure. Another FIRST PRIORITY TO AN ARBOR DENTIST, IS THAT YOU WILL NOT FEEL PAIN DURING THE PROCEDURE, I have personally found that to be the upmost importance to the doctor and THAT REALLY GIVES ME GREAT REASSURANCE. My dentists there ALL HAVE WONDERFUL, KIND, & AGAIN VERY CARING PERSONALITIES. I havent met one person yet in the entire Arbor Dental Staff, that I havent liked a whole heck of a lot! My hopes are that patients looking for the feeling of having your denistry being done right out of your living room recliner w/lots of close friends visiting, well, thats how youll feel when you visit ARBOR DENTAL! I had my teeth straightened by Dr. Jaffer with Invisalign and it was done in less than a year. Very easy process and great results. Dr. Vij did an amazing job correcting a chip on my front tooth.

The staff here is amazing!! Super friendly and make you feel right at home. Everyone I interacted with had a smile on their face and a genuine desire to help you. I had an appointment to get my wisdom teeth pulled both on the top and the bottom. In order to do the procedure I needed to get IV sedation, I told the nurse when ahe came out to get me that there is a specific place where the IV should go and my hand is just not an option because the veins in my hands are not good at all however in my arm is where the IV team at the hospital said is a great spot. So I go back and I tell the Dentist the same thing however he is insisting that he put it in my hand. So after a couple of minutes of going back and forth the Dentist went ahead and proceeded to put the IV in my arm however he went right under the skin so he wouldnt hit the vein. He pulled the needle out and then again went for my hand to put the IV and he was going to use the same needle he had just used in my arm and when I told him NO and asked him about the same needle He said to me well maybe we should reschedule. How about NOT. He is one of those men that treat women like what they say dont matter. Will I matter and I know qhat is best for me and my body. I will never ever go back there or RECOMMEND anyone to go there. Very DISRESPECTFUL.

Great people, very professional. I have teeth and they definitely gave them a good looking-at. And, unlike most dental practices, I didnt cry myself to sleep at not as a result of tooth-based trauma. Ya did it!
Dr. Jaffer and his staff are wonderful. I am able to make appointments easily in a reasonable time frame, and wait times to get into the chair are short. Dr. Jaffer always remembers me and clearly cares for his patients.

Super incompetent dentist. For a simple filling he ended up damaging my tooth and even the one next to it. I had to go through several months of pain and multiple operations at a different office just to be able to chew again with that side of my mouth
Dr. Jaffar has impressive skills - I didnt even notice the needle poke of the numbing (lidocaine) injection in my mouth. My procedural experience with him was excellent to say the least.
Same about Groupon issue. I purchase groupon for zoom whitening which was scheduled on Monday Sep 8th at 1pm. I had to use my PTO time to make this appointment. After I drove all the way back from Livonia and showed in office, the note told me since the office is out of power, all appointments were cancelled. I called back to office later and there was a lady pick up the phone told me they could not do anything about the power and she can help me reschedule it. My question is if office was out of power, they should contact patients right away to let them know. Then the lady told me they could not access computer without power, but how can they reschedule without power?I will never come back and not recommend to anybody for this dentist office. It is terrible experience!

I came to this place because of the positive google reviews but this place is terrible!!! Do use this clinic— the staff is unprofessional (mistyping insurance information, sending unprofessional emails, not notifying patients of change in addresses, pushing back appointments). Staff kept trying to sell products during the visit and I had to come back in twice to get my fillings readjusted and one side still has a weird bite. I came in for my second appointment hoping that it would be better later, but it really is terrible. Go someplace else.
Dr. Anderson was so pleasant with my 11 year old. He made the visit fun, engaging, and my son left happy and much more comfortable than when he walked in.
Nice office, lots of technology, friendly staff, Dr. Jaffer is very caring. My wife had Invisalign done and she loves her straight teeth.

2022-04-28Today I went to have my wisdom teeth pulled and another one that couldnt be saved. I LOVED IT from my very first visit the Staff is so nice and respectable also very pretty l.o.l getting my procedure done today the Doc. Went over all details n future details I needed to know and discuss. They put me to sleep and when I woke up I felt NOTHING I mean literally its 8hrs later and NO PAIN Ive never had a tooth get took out and any other procedures I will definitely be coming back THANK YOU! I was so scared at first but he assured me I would be okay and that assurance gave me comfortably so with that again Thank you!!!! This place is a must when pertaining to your dental hygiene

2022-07-14Let me start off with how impressed I was and still am with this Dentist office,, I called and set up an Appointment for my 31 year old Autistic Adult son for the first time at this facility, they were super kind, courteous, and so polite it was a pleasure to make an appointment . Days before my sons appointment one the Dentist called to see if there was any special needs that would help make the visit easier or if they could do anything to help with his anxiety. I’ve never in all my life had someone call to see how they could help make a difference in my sons experiences at a dentist office. I got off the phone and my heart was full and I felt that we have found the right place , truly we have, my sons experience at this facility was wonderful due to all the AWESOME people working there!! I applaud you all for caring about your patients!!100 stars for how everyone made my son feel important and just simply caring!! Thank you again!!

2022-07-21I went to Arbor Dental to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and It couldnt of had a better experience. I had never been sedated before so I was nervous, but they were very patient with me and answered all of my questions. The doctors and the attendants were so attentive and made sure I was comfortable and when I woke up they informed me that everything went great.The doctor who performed the procedure and the doctor who administered the anesthesia were so personable yet professional, they even came back to the room when I demanded to see them so I can thank them after I woke up. After I went home the doctor even called me personally to see how I was feeling.Overall great experience I would recommend to anybody especially someone who is nervous about the procedure, thank you guys for making this so easy and enjoyable.

2021-12-27Dr. Jaffer and staff are the best. The best dental office I have ever been to. Dr. Jaffer was able to pull my wisdom tooth without any problems when a couple other dentists did not want to touch it. Also did my implant that I am so thankful for. His staff is beyond amazing also. I would recommend them to everyone who wants excellent care.

2022-02-25Ive been going to Arbor Dental for a year and some change now and wont be switching any time soon. My hygienist, Noor, is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and makes appointments feel fun instead of like a chore. Dr. Jaffer is kind, approachable, and makes you feel at ease during your appointment. He truly runs a top notch office, you wont be disappointed.

2022-06-17Best dentist! Excellent dental clinic with professional, caring staff that always made our experience a pleasant one. They offered a wide variety of services inclusive of oral appliances for obstructive sleep apnea, a variety of mouth guards for bruxism (teeth grinding), and routine dental procedures. All our dental work were without any complications. They accept Delta insurance which we had. Would recommend anyone to this private practice that will treat your like their own family.

2022-06-09Dr. Jaffer has been my dentist for over 20 years! Ive stayed with him because I trust his advice and he cares about me, as well as my dental health. From exams and cleanings to fillings, root canals and crowns, Dr. Jaffer and his team have always made me feel welcome, comfortable and safe. I dont get nervous about appointments, nor do I dread to hear if I may need further dental work. There is a reason for giving a 5 star review!!!

2022-02-24I’ve been coming here for a few years and the staff is always nice and courteous. I love their humor and they always get the work done quick and painless. They even answer questions about the equipment if you ask. I’m writing this because I saw this cool digital model of my teeth today and it took me by surprise. Didn’t even know that was a thing. I’m definitely sticking with Arbor Dental.
