Its a compliment to say I was able to store my things here and then forget about them, without worrying about security.Shanidra was very helpful getting me set up and answering any questions. Property is very clean and secure - I was able to come back to retrieve things a few times and had no issues my entire stay here. Move out was also very simple - inform them over the phone what day Id be moving out, and remove my lock along with all my things by that time. No need to meet anyone or go when the office is open.

I didnt intend to move out if there was no proration.I hadnt given notice or didnt even have a chance to call them to ask about prorationThey canceled and put a lock on my unit 1) without my notifying Arco that I would vacate 2) without advance notice to me -- just received a goodbye emailIm sure they were glad to think they would re-rent a unit I had already paid a month in advance.Just not good business policy - no proration, especially for someone only 2 days into the next month; who puts lock on unit because they think you moved.I said, OK we can close it if you will prorate, but Ill keep it since Im paid in advance almost a month and you wont prorate.

Comment: Since I wasn’t familiar with the different sizes of storage that would be good for my needs, I knew I needed help.I walked in and was greeted with friendly vibes who seemed more than willing to help me…this was Weslei!Weslei was alone in the office at the time; I told him my confusion on storage sizes so he jumped right and said he’d show me around. He secured the office and off we went!His tour began inside where I got a good sense of sizes and convenience before heading outside. He went on to explain the safety and convenience of the outside too. He explained that it’s all a matter of personal preference between choosing the inside or outside. I could see that they both had easy access and safety. I would have been happy with both. Weslei made it easy for me to make that decision, which I did in the time it took for our tour to end.Thank you Weslei for making the tour fun and informative and for the ease in my choosing the right storage unit for my needs.

Comment: This is hands down the best storage facility in the Bay Area, and I have had a lot if storage units at different places over the years. The facility first: it is secure as hell, no one is getting in my units with the gate security, the millions of cameras everywhere, the structure of my unit which is solid metal with no netting on any side, and the location of the facility itself. The layout of the place is well organized with wide hallways for easy maneuvering even with big furniture. They have lots of hand carts, easy drive-up, and the place is….drum roll please…clean! And well air-conditioned throughout. Now for the staff: they are all of these things and I swear on my children’s lives that this is the truth: courteous, helpful, patient, kind, informative, giving, attentive, and they go above and beyond to help. In every phase of this they have been great- finding the right units, signing me up, letting movers bring stuff in, treating me well when I come to visit, they offer coffee and water as I work through the day in my unit. It’s unreal. They are so wonderful. I recommend this place and these people highly!! Thank you all for your help Arco’s!

Comment: I have had a VERY BAD day with Arco Storage in SSF today. I got my second unit in January, 2021. It was located outside the building inside the fence. Yesterday I got a call that the unit had to be moved outside of the fence. I would rather not have it there so I went down to get a new locker.I was told someone would move the stuff from the old to the new. Instead one very nice, hard-working man came by but I helped him as it was too much for one person.As I was signing the paperwork for the second unit, they informed me that I was paying $10 a month for their insurance. When I rented the unit in January, I contacted my insurance agency to send the proof of insurance. When I got home today, I saw the information had indeed been sent in January yet Arco Storage did nothing with it.Nothing has been offered for the inconvenience of changing lockers or overcharging me for insurance.

Luckily, after speaking with the staff at Arco’s Self Storage a few times I decided that this was the right fit for me. The facility in South Lake Tahoe is clean, nicely set up, and I felt safe and comfortable each time I would go to the location by myself. I personally have stored my belongings with two other storage companies before and this is the one would return to if need be. Comment: I cannot even begin to express how amazing the staff is at Arcos Self Storage in South San Francisco.I was looking for 50+ square feet of storage in the northern Peninsula, and after making several inquiries I found that Arco had by far the best combination of price, location, and security.The staff at Arco is fun, energetic, and downright hilarious. They kindly spent upwards of an hour giving me a tour of the suitable units, all while maintaining a keen attention to my specific needs and discussing the pros and cons of each unit (proximity to accessible entrances, whether/ moisture/temperature considerations, and so on).I ended up with a larger climate controlled unit at a good rate. Looking forward to interacting with this great staff again!

Comment: I would say for the most part this place is great. The only problem is we are on the top floor and have a vent right above our unit. Well more than 3 occasions wevd had water come into our unit. Well everytime it rains i have to check our unit. How theyve resolved it is by putting a plastic tarp but not as thick as tarp. they also have told us someone fixed it from the top. Well after again a few times, water damage finally did its thing and ruined some items. Reporting it and sending images to them of the damage, nothing. We were told the higher ups would see our images and nothings. THis has been weeks. I dont have time to not only check my unit every time it rains but i also dont have time for follow ups. I have a tv stand that now has a split leg i will have to get rid of since the split is in the front leg. Other items were damages but not too concerned. They did at one point replace photo albums since boxes that were cardboard did get really wet and needed to be replaced. But i wish i would have been there to see that. not sure how bad the damage was at that point so not sure if any photos were tossed from damage or not bc they replaced it on their own. We did allow them to have a key to check as well when it rained. Just disappointed that no follow up was made re the tv stand and other stuff, after sending pictures. I mean a discount on the storage unit would be nice too.

Comment: Very friendly, probably the best place I encountered in San Francisco honestly, and their storage units are very spacious. Also access is able to be done earlier and later than their hours of availability.

Comment: Arco Self Storage is a first class operation. From start to finish they made it easy for me to rent storage. Desiree was very friendly/professional on the phone (even waited for me as I was coming right before close) and suggested a storage unit that works for me based on what I am trying to store. I would recommend them to anyone looking for storage in the area!

Comment: I have never used a vehicle storage service before, but I have to believe this is one of the best.I went overseas for 6 months and was able to drop off a loaded vehicle, see it safely stored, go directly to the airport, and do the reverse when I returned.I returned on a public holiday and they provided a safe way to get access to the vehicle even though all their staff was away.Vehicle was washed, battery charged, and ready to go. I could have hit the road immediately.Very pleased with Arco.
