I have been a regular to Ashka salon nearly two years now and totally love everything about it right from people at the reception, environment and vibe, to everyone at the salon. Amazing people with smile on their face always.Today, I got my haircut done by Jordan, and I totally love it. Jordan is very skilled, meticulous in her work/ pays extra attention to detail and made sure, haircut is done of my liking. She asks every step of the way and I felt great when I left the salon.Jordan is great to talk with as well and I really appreciate the service from her. Thank you, Jordan. You absolutely rock!!Cheers to everyone at Ashka as well and want to thank everyone for doing such an amazing work even during this tough pandemic time.Go Ashka Goo!!!! :)
Not a single employee was wearing a mask, and mask rules did not seem evenly enforced across clients either. I did have to sign a release that they werent liable if I got sick though, conveniently.I wouldnt knock so many stars off if the service had at least been on par with what I experienced last time I got a cut here (about seven years ago) but the cut itself was very basic, the stylist asked very few questions, I asked for layers and dont see them now that Im home, and I felt very rushed and unable to ask for any changes. The next person was already in a chair behind me waiting before my stylist was even starting the face frame. All this for nearly twice what I paid at my previous salon, where Id also get a light styling in addition to the cut!The tipping scheme was insult to injury, as they dont allow tips on credit cards and have no cash at the front desk - its Venmo or cash, and you have to leave to get to an ATM to get cash, then go to one of the stores next door to get change, if you dont already have a Venmo set up.I am so disappointed that this wasnt nearly as good as I remembered and unfortunately I cant recommend coming here. At least, not until the pandemic is over.
Ashka Salon has been an amazing experience. I’ve been coming here for almost a year and I am always excited to come. I am treated so kind and the staff is so professional and accommodating. My stylist Jay is amazing. She not only listens but makes suggestions and I leave so happy with my hair. She is professional and knowledgeable and is the best stylist I ever had. I highly recommend Ashka and Jay is the one to see.

I love Ashka Salon. The staff are nice and welcoming and the atmosphere is super comfortable. Jessie has been doing my hair for about 5 years now and her work never ceases to amaze me. I have been going to Ashka for years and have always had great service. I definitely recommend going to Evelyn for haircuts and color. She always does an amazing job. I also recommend Mona for brow wax. My brows always look amazing because of her. It’s definitely worth the price!
I had been coming to Ashka for hair service for many, many years, and then had not been there in a few years! I returned last evening to have my hair cut by Christine (who I had always seen in the past). I cannot get a better haircut by anyone else! She does an Awesome job, always has suggestions for color, highlight, shampoo, styling products, etc. Her expertise and professionalism surpasses anyone else Ive been to. The atmosphere of Ashka is always upbeat, clean, bright, and nice. All personnel are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend Ashka Salon and Christine!
I have had a very good experience with this hair salon. They have been providing me with a consistent service, has professional and helpful staff. Their appointment desk is friendly and flexible and they do a good job at reminding you of your appointments. Their hairstylist are also friendly and do a really good job giving you the hairdo you wish for. Love Brianna!
In my visit today they didnt even dry my hair which I must say is very disappointing. I went here for hair color every month for a year now and would expect the same treatment every time- unfortunately this is not how it works and they do what they can depending on # of customers. Reason I got today for not fully drying after wash was they dont have time and the next customer is up. I would expect them to tell me that at the time of Booking appointment. Very Disappointing. Unfortunately I was going to deliver my baby today and went to a salon thinking I will walk out with nice looking hair instead I looked like a wet cat and had to rewash and do my hair back at home which was a big hassle. Will not be going to Ashka again. Sorry guys. Many others places around for much cheaper and better service. Bed head salon, Lucky etc. Advice: Treat your regular customer with care especially when they need it.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH HAIR CUT AND HAIR COLOR. Please do not go to this salon. They do not know how to make arrangements based on clients need. I was there to do my hair for my anniversary dinner date. They told me they can wait after the closing time which is at 6 pm and kept saying that they dont want me to be late. I told them I can wait and ended up extending my dinner reservation time further. But when it was 5:30 Jordan, my hair stylist , went on to say she cannot wait and I have to choose between a blow dry or a hair cut. It was just super frustrating. I had to choose blow dry as I didnt want to go to dinner with my wet hair. But had to leave without a haircut. I was at least hoping the color would have come out as I wanted. It was not even close to the picture I showed. Jordan rushed through the entire time which started hurting as well at a point. I sent an email on this for a refund and have not heard back till now. This is the second time I am having a horrible experience with their staff. Made a mistake taking a chance the second time.
Eye lashes perm and tinting , wasn’t done good , felt like wasted my money.
I had an appointment at 9:45am today. I walked in at 9:30am already did not feel comfortable, than to find out that my appointment was canceled and they called me. Well I did not receive a voice-mail, I did received a text remainder for my appointment, but nothing stating it was canceled. This is very poor Customer Service. I will not go to this establishment ever again. I found a way better place. Remember there is alot of other nail places out there.
I consistently find the staff friendly and welcoming and get the impression that they really enjoy their work. Jessica does an amazing job with both color and styling and I really appreciate all her attention to detail! I have worked with her for several years and followed her from Ann Arbor and am glad I did!
HANDS DOWN THE BEST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER HAD. Courtney is my stylist, and she is extremely talented , creative and witty stylist who truly enjoys what she does and it shows in her work. Courtney would give feedback/suggestions and check in through the process to see if I liked how it was shaping up, and was so much fun to talk to the whole time. Ill never go anywhere else to get my hair cut! Thanks for being a positive influence, Courtney! I have been a customer of Ashka Salon for 15 years. Since I have difficult hair to cut (poker straight and fine) I only trust Ashka. The service throughout the salon is professional [front desk, stylists, massage, etc.) and I recommend everyone to experience their services.
Always a good experience at this salon! Always greeted with a smile and asked if I need a water or coffee. The whole atmosphere and the staff make you feel very relaxed. I have tried several salons in Canton (Lucky salon, Indigo, etc) but I always come back to this one for cuts, color, blow dry, nails, everything!
I have looked for years for a salon. My hair is thin, straight, sparse and just beginning to gray. I emailed a request for someone who was experienced at all this, not just the newest hire. The manager and I talked and she picked someone for me. Thats a first. A real conversation at a salon. I wanted a shaggy cut that could be blown by the wind and still look okay. I needed to have some gray added to highlight my hair, so that I looked my age. Josephine did it all. She knew exactly what I wanted and did it all in the blink of an eye. She is amazing and talented. I have never gotten such awesome styling and color. I now feel so confident thanks to the communication and talent at Ashka.

I drive 45 min every six weeks because my girl Jordan is the best! Love the clean and organized salon. Comfortable and relaxing room to process and the reminders are fantastic for a busy person!
I tried this salon at the recommendation of a neighbor. I’ve been going here for two years now and have been seeing Jessica. She’s great, always has suggestions and tips for me to replicate her styling on my own at home. I always love my fair when I leave.

Horrible experience. I’ve gotten a bayalage done multiple times and colored my hair multiple times and knows how the process works. Booked an appointment with the top tier stylist and was never told by her that my hair will turn orange, get damaged and have to come in more than 1 time to get to a blonde caramel color. Paid 250 showed the stylist pictures and was making sure that ill get that color. Next day half my hair was orange the ends were severely damaged I have To now cut 2 inches from which could’ve been avoided if she had told me what was gonna really happen. Asked for a refund and some solution and they wouldn’t refund me. They told me I can Come in add highlights for an additional charge. I’ve never seen poor customer service. Im so unhappy with how I look And how damaged my hair is. I would Not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and put it else where.
I love Ashka, usually I go to the South Lyon location but I wanted a spa service so I made the trip. Totally worth it, its a lovely location and the service was great! I love the way I look and will be back!
I have been going to Christine at Ashka for over two years. She is a wonderful hair stylist and I *always* walk out of there happy!!! The atmosphere of Ashka is very welcoming and relaxing. Its actually everything I have ever wanted in a salon!!! An upbeat experience all around.

Ive been getting my hair styled here for almost 2 years and they are great! Ive never walked out dissatisfied. Some may say they are a bit pricey but this place has stylists that are definitely worth it! This is the only place Ill let touch my hair!
Jessica was amazing! She is very friendly and not only has her degree in this field, but has taught others coming out of college. She has a great nack for her profession.
This happened about a month ago and I have been meaning to leave a review...Front desk person was so disinterested in my inquiries, acted like she couldnt care less about acquiring a new customer. Live in the area, decided to try my first shellac mani. I asked what the difference was between regular and shellac and she says it lasts longer. with the most deadpan face ever. Didnt bother to explain the process or anything. A regular came in and she turned on the charm and smiles! I left and went to a nearby spa/salon and dont regret it. Most businesses like to draw new customers as well as keep their existing ones happy... guess not here.
My first time to Ashka and my last. I decided to try a new salon to get a better personable experience, but observed unhappy stylists throughout a modern-equipped salon. The stylist (Kelly) that gave me my haircut did a very poor job. You could tell that she might have just graduated from the salon by the technique she used for cutting - mediocre at best. Anyways, wont be returning period.
Love the staff is always so friendly and accommodating my schedule.It’s always clean and upbeat here and love that they’re always trying to make me feel comfortable and offering me coffee, tea, or water.I see Alaina- and she is awesome! I have thick, dark hair and she gets me to the shade of honey blonde I love. And she’s always talking me through my “bangs or no bangs”, “grow it out or cut it short” decisions- and I love my hair all the time!Ps- they have a Little Free Library here and great WiFi so I can work while I’m here!
I had my haircut by Shaunna today. Could not be happier. What a beautiful and friendly salon. They cater to you from the moment you walk in the door. Coffee, tea or water? No problem. Shaunna is great. She knows her stuff. Ill be back in 6 weeks.
I love Ashka. They use more natural products for hair and skin. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. My hair looks great when I leave and it stays for a long time. It seems like they have low staff turnover.
After another local salon destroyed my hair with a bad color job, I spent hundreds of dollars at various other salons trying to fix it, but only made it worse. While it was impossible to entirely fix, short of beaching all of my hair, I finally felt there were steps in the right direction with Kay at Ashka. The first visit we tried an approach that didnt help, but it helped us learn what worked and what didnt, and they didnt end up charging me for it. With subsequent visits, we were able to start making progress until I finally felt comfortable again. I am so thankful I ended up here and with Kay and to have trust with a stylist again.
Linh did a great job with my hair! I was growing it out for a friends wedding in May and ended up getting 8 inches taken off! With summer here and a baby on the way this is so much cooler and easier to deal with! Thanks for the amazing service.

I recently visited this salon. And was first and last time I will be using their services. I came for a root touch up and balayage.( Which the balayage part was almost done from previous stylist. ) they charged me $245 for this and while stylist was washing my hair she tells me they have free redo’s 😳 color she left in my hair for maybe 5 minutes didn’t do anything. So I would have to come back. But figure I would let her try and redeem herself. Came back next day and she did again. ( I asked for darker purple highlights) she did get some color I’m my hair but was a reddish brown faded color. She’s was like here’s some color and I can’t blow dry your hair just the front. The icing on the cake was the chemical burn I have behind my ear now.
Megan did an excellent job coloring & highlighting my hair. She was very professional & I had a great overall experience. And I have already made recommendations to friends.
I have been coming here for about two years. I see Beth, for waxing. She is amazing. The wax she uses is more gentle than other waxes at other salons. She is informative, and will explain everything when you have questions. I have only great experiences here.
Just moved to the area and found this salon near my new home. Friendly reception when you walk in. Great mani and pedis and stylists focused on giving you exactly what you want for you hair color and cut. Highly recommend!!!

Ok for the price, Ive been going for almost a year now and was disappointed with the last cut/ color. Kind of felt rushed and weird cut, not sure she knew what she was doing. I want a great cut, not just alright. Might try else where after this last appointment
Ashka Salon is not only a beautiful salon, with awesome stylists but they have supported the Oxford Kids Foundation, a local charity for children with brain injuries, for the past 7 years. The best combination....a fantastic salon with a heart that gives back to community children!
Ive been visiting Ashka since I moved back to Michigan in 2004. I have never been disappointed. Kristin does a great job cutting and coloring hair and even cuts my husbands now. They provide an excellent variety of services and Ive experienced many of them: mani, pedi, waxing, facial, updos, and massage. They really seek to provide a relaxing and spa like experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming and even great me by name if they recognize me when I come it.Additionally they seek to give back to the community and are quite generous in doing so. On multiple occasions they have donated to charitable causes my family supports via generous gift cards.If you are looking for a salon or spa to try you should definately visit Ashka.
I went there to change my hair color. My hair was auburn and i wanted to have it more ashy.. they colored it dark auburn brown. Golden hues are very clear.. not satisfied..and this is my second time that they mess, i thought of giving them another chance because they are close to my house..they may be good as a spa but not Color...Here is my updateI went twice after that bc they are the closest to me in canton,2nd time the stylist made my hair half highlight of green and dark brown...it looked so horrible despite that I showed her a photo of the desired color.2nd time I went there After that she made a better color but when I asked why the color wasnt done last time she said she didnt have time,I wasnt booked for that...on their website full highlights maximum fee is 125 but she charged me 200..When I called the salon,their receptionist or what she calls herself customer service was extremely defensive.Anyhow, its my fault bc I went their again and agreed to be overcharged for location convenience.T
Jessica Bonka is the only woman in the world I would ever trust to touch my hair. I have been seeing her now for almost 5 years- she used to be a colorist at Douglas J Salon in Ann Arbor. If you are looking for someone who is a magical hair-painting-prodigy she is it. Jess is continuously keeping up with the trends- she can balayage your tresses to perfection. I swear every time I leave the salon, I feel like my mane transforms into a goddess metamorphosis à la Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid & a unicorn.Ashka Salon is prestine, the staff is always friendly, and they carry a wide selection of Aveda products.I also have had the privilege of booking Misty for a Tulasara facial & a brow wax. She is very polite & knows what shes doing. I almost fell asleep during that facial- it was that calming. I left that day feeling less stressed- with brows that looked less Sesame Street and more Chrissy Teigen.

Im a long time customer of almost 10 years and the salon has gone downhill the past few years. Customer service at the front desk is terrible. There are way too many places with great stylist to tolerate their poor service. Im done with their poor customer treatment.
Jessie, my hair stylist is very nice and professional. She saved my hair wrongly done with perm one week again. I think I have found myself a very good hairstylist again.
Got my first lash lift with semi-permanent masacara and absolutely love my lashes! Maddison is so sweet and she walks you through each step. I will for sure be going back and absolutely recommend this!

Well umm half my hair is layered but just the right side is. Not the left. Just the right side. She kinda just took the top layer of my hair and chopped it in a straight line and then 4 inches longer is the end of my hair very awkward and ugly. Also she cut off 5 inches more then I asked which is just wonderful. Honestly shouldve just cut my own hair.

Im new to this salon and I have to say my first experience wasnt to bad. My stylist didnt talk to me much which made me feel uncomfortable but the wash nice and the cut was done very well. I will definitely be back to give this salon a secound try.

Kelly is the best. Service is great but dont expect to use any Wi Fi while you are waiting for 1-2 hours for your treatment to be completed. They dont have guest wi fi. So leave your laptop or tablet at home if you have work to do.

2022-09-01I tried hair curling the first time. Even this is the first time I have gone for a hair appointment. Therefore I cant compare the service and do not know the rules and how it works.However, I know that Emma did an excellent job. I am delighted that I got my hairstyle done by her.I enjoyed. She is professional and kind. I Am also going to try a product recommended by her.I cant wait to schedule another appointment.Also, please check their Gratuity policy if anyone is new like me. I think you need an app or enough cash if you are grateful and feel a job is well done. I had an excellent experience, so I wanted to add that.Thanks, Emma.Regards

2022-06-11My wife went in to get full foil hair color. By the end when she went to pay, she was charged over $300. She was expecting to pay around $150 or less. The stylist charged her for treatments that she never asked for. Not once during the hair color did the stylist inform her that I am going to do these additional services and they will cost such and such dollars. The color of her hair came out so bad that it almost looks like no color was done. Warning stay away from this place, they are thieves. They don’t tell you upfront how much the services will cost you and then at the end throw an outrageous bill at you. We are planning to notify the Better Business Bureau of my wife’s experience and how they charged her for services that she didn’t ask to be done. The right thing for management to do is to refund out money for the services she didn’t ask for and just charge us for full foil. I will look to get my hair color done somewhere else next time!!!!!

2022-05-17First time having a facial here. Very nice facial, relaxing environment, friendly staff. Two small recommendations - apply lotion to the neck and upper chest. Every facial Ive had elsewhere has done this. Also, do something while the mask is setting. Other facials Ive had use this time to massage the scalp, or hands, or moisturize the neck or apply balm to the lips...something like that. These little things would take it from a 4 to a 5.

2022-04-20I came here desperate to find a hair stylist to fix a horrible botched hair cut that I got from a different salon. I booked a 15 minute consultation with Millie. She was amazing! She knew what I was trying to say even though I struggle with hair terms/describing stuff lol she took my botched hideous haircut into a cut that I LOVE even though its not the end goal I have no problem rocking it until my hair grows back out! Cant wait to schedule another appointment with her :)

2021-09-25I’ve been seeing Libby since 2020! She has been nothing short of amazing. I have short and thin hair that I’ve always struggled with, and she introduced me to Bellami hair extensions. Truly the best thing to happen to my hair. Like ever. I’ve been obsessed with my extensions since and constantly get compliments on them. Libby takes her time explaining how to style your hair at home, how to take quality care of your hair, and has always left my hair feeling soft and healthy.I never even went to an Aveda salon before finding Libby and she always recommends the best products to use. My hair is no longer thin and falling out, it is soft and finally has some life to it. Do yourself a favor and go see what Libby is all about, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

2022-01-27Jordan is the QUEEN of haircuts!! All of the women on staff are lovely, and I recommend every single one of them. They all truly care about their clients and are passionate about what they do.

2021-11-18A very pleasant experience. They understood what I needed and delivered the same. Might seem a bit expensive for some but a very good salon to have a nice hair cut and other services that they offer.
