My first experience with ashley home store has been a horrible one. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE, EVER!I walk in and ask what king bed sets do you have in stock? The employee shows me a handful and then says the one you like we can have delivered in about 7 weeks. I said that’s not too bad and purchased the bed set.24 weeks later, I have not received ONE update from Ashley. Not one call, email, anything to say there has been a delay as I’m already pass the 3.5x expectancy to delivery. Eventually I get tired of calling and only getting an automated system so I go back to the store. As they try to sell me something else I immediately tell them I already have a order that I’ve been waiting on forever. I need an update. The man points me to the help desk and the lady says everything, but your slats are in stock so we’re waiting on those to schedule delivery. I responded with I’m ordering a powerbase for the bed so the slats aren’t needed immediately. You can deliver everything else (king bed frame, nightstand, dresser, chest, etc) and just contact me when the slats come in. She says the earliest availability is in 5 days, I take it. They then contact me 6x in 24 hours to confirm delivery the weekend before the delivery. I confirm delivery multiple times.On delivery day, I’m up at 7am waiting for Ashley to come. As hours go by and I do not hear from them, the track my truck button is not working, I call them at the end of the delivery window. After getting the run around for 15 minutes I eventually get to a young man who tells me none of my items are even in stock yet and aren’t expected to be for another week! I tell him I was just in store last week and they told me face to face that everything but the slats were in stock. He said that is incorrect. When were y’all going to tell me you weren’t coming for my appointment? You contacted me 6x over the weekend and didn’t think to mention any of this!? He said I thought the store would have told you …Another 2 weeks have gone by and guess what, still no updates. Place is a massive waste of time with the worst customer service in the business.
Worst customer service experience ever. I will never step foot in that store again. Sales rep was good with us in the beginning but instantly changed once we tried to negotiate the price. We were prepared to pay the price he was set on until his demeanor and attitude changed. Never shop there if you’re looking to find reasonable prices and employees who can tolerate price negotiation. We were very nice throughout and were smiling even with his horrible attitude.
Worst company you can ever deal with. They continue to tell me my item has shipped I purchased it online. But I have been waiting for a month now. Their customer support is awful. I will never purchase from ashley furniture ever in my life again. I told the agent to cancel my order nine times now and I am still waiting on cancellation. How can a company be so unorganized like Ashley furniture is????
Brandon’s down to Earth personality and professional expertise made for such a wonderful shopping experience today at the Westland store. Buying furniture can be stressful but he did a great job of taking the stress away! We went in for tables and bought a sofa too. Will be back for a new bed after his TEMPUR mattress presentation. If you’re looking for furniture ask for Brandon!
Do yourself a favor and don’t even enter the store. I’m a veteran with severe injuries and tried to get something nice that’ll comfort my body. The Westland location in particular shouldn’t even be around.Their furniture in the store is different from how it will get delivered - color, material, everything.Once my couch was delivered came, They tried not to set up the furniture. I have ripped items alsoI called Westlands store and the manger just cuts me off and passed the puck to guest services. After spending 4 days trying to connect with a manager, they had excuse after excuse.Don’t buy anything from here.
Worst customer service i have ever received. I have a manufacturer defect with my bed frame. Called and created a ticket, the technician never came out and cancelled my ticket the next day stating it wasnt and defect. Not sure what else it is when your bed frame rail will not stay latched in the headboard and footboard. Terrible.
I really had a great experience and we love the furniture we’re getting however we were lied to about the time frame of the couch getting delivered from day 1. This was our our main concern with going into the furniture store. My wife and I just moved and have barely any furniture and we told the salesman that we were expecting in about 2 months so we couldn’t wait any longer than that. We found a couch we liked and he went and checked and came back that 2 out of 3 pieces were available ASAP but one piece would be 4-5 weeks. After a week goes by I had a bad feeling so I checked online and online it said 8-12 weeks. I waited 4 weeks (today) and am being told by a computer on the phone another 4-6 weeks which I’m sure will just go up. And to late for when our child arrives..We would have chosen something else had we known about the delay. I can’t recommend a company or let alone a salesman(KJ) when they are lying about the 1 thing we asked them. I will update my review if it comes in sooner than expected.**edit after their reply**I texted that number and they just tell me the expected delivery date and they can’t help with anything else. So that is not an escalation number 😂 waste of time again.2nd edit**** still no furniture it’s been over 9 weeks when again KJ said 4-5 😭 and they keep pushing it back 2 more weeks when the due date is close. I’m going up there to cancel my order.3rd edit*** as of 6/6 I told them to cancel my order. 4 weeks turned to 8 which turned to 12. I am dumb enough to keep listening to them pushing it back one week at a time. Horrible company I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to shop here. 😂😂👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 AND DEFINITELY DO NOT SEE KJ IN SALES
I bought a recliner and it was delivered two days later broken. So I went back and bought another recliner that was slightly more expensive. Its been over two months and I have still not received it. I’ve heard some people waited 4 months! Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere because they have a no money back policy. So they’ve had my $700 for 2 1/2 months and I have no furniture. And no idea when it’ll arrive.
Was told by two different people on two different days over the phone that our furniture was ready for pickup and that our pickup was scheduled for today. Made the long drive with a rented van and was told no furniture was at the warehouse and no pickup was scheduled. Wasted time, money, and gas. Horrible customer service. Sad.
My wife and I went into Ashleys looking for a leather recliner chair in stock. We found 2 that we liked. Salesperson John was very helpful. He even supplied a tape measure so we could figure out which one would be best for our room size. We made our decision to take a floor model that was on sale. John even helped me load it into my truck. When I got it home I realized one of the power cords was missing. I called Ashleys back and they found it right away. I drove back to the store and they had the cord waiting for me at the front desk. The young lady at the front desk pointed out that there were actually 2 power cords needed for the chair and she provided that 2nd cord as well.Very friendly, no pressure customer service. We will definitely be going back for future furniture purchases. A+++
They had some unique things there which were fine to look at, but most things were way overpriced for the quality. The price of the chair I wanted had a 75% markup as compared to the Ashley Furniture website, plus they tried to charge me for freight shipping where their own website also said it was in stock in store. Who doesnt price match their own website? It feels like they used a lie to get me to come in.
The sales team at this location was polite and helpful but I had a horrible experience overall (purchasing in a pandemic). I came into the store in November looking solely at items ready for immediate delivery. Purchasing was easy but the piece was delivered on time but came damaged two times and now won’t arrive until mid-February. I’ve asked for my money back and they refused. Absolutely nothing was offered from the store or corporate to make up for the frustration and inconvenience. This was my first and last time shopping here.
Store experience was good. Still waiting for my chair. Was sent multiple messages regarding delivery date. Never came and I gave my old chair away expecting the new one. We called and they said the 💺was in Illinois. Now I have no chair. NOw they said check back in a week. Very unprofessional.
John did a great job helping us purchase our furniture. He allowed us our space to look around and helped us when we were ready. We understand that it will take some time for it to arrive. Ashley furniture has a lot of beautiful choices. Thank you John and Ashley furniture.
Not much to say except same ole treatment. Went in with $5000 in my pocket to spend and no one approached me for 40 minutes. I was the only customer until a couple walked in, and they were immediately approached and helped. You never know whos walking into your store, or who is really ready to lay down some money to buy something. The last 30 seconds someone spoke to me as I was leaving and of course I told him it was too late. I purposely took 2 more walks around the store and made sure to stand in front of every sales person I saw, just to make sure I gave them ample opportunity before I left. They lost that $5000 that day.
Promised me one price then after approval for a card tried to charge me more. Didnt give me their new much higher total until they had already asked me to pull my truck up for loading with my items by the door. Most likely to make me pay it anyway as all of my items were already packed up and they had already run my credit. When I told them the price they discussed with me in the very beginning the salesman tried to say that it was my misunderstanding even though the 2 people with me heard him say the same discounts multiple times. When they confirmed that he was in the wrong all I got in return was him throwing his hands in the air saying well I guess that was my bad, cancel the order guys and to the back of store. No offers from the manager to try to make things right, just explained sorry, hes new here....total waste of time and a hit on my credit. Buyers beware.
Sectional Eltmann sectional - my couch was delivered by some very hasty men which destroyed my wall and the couch. Getting these two matters resolved has been IMPOSSIBLE! You cannot get through to anyone at Ashley Furniture only for them to tell you that you “have the wrong department” and reroute you. It is beyond a headache. I waited a very long time to actual receive my couch which is now destroyed. They did send me about 5 pounds of fabric which is hilarious! Not sure what they expect me to do with it.On the rare occasion that I speak to someone when I have the patience to wait they bait me with some lie and i wait another two weeks and repeat the process. The customer service is AWFUL! If you have all the time in the world, than go for it! Otherwise save your sanity and buy a couch from somewhere else.
Ive been waiting for furniture that Ive purchased in September of 2020 to still be delivered to my home. Ive been patiently waiting as Ive been presented with numerous excuses including Covid having items on hold. Ive gone inside the local store to complain several times just to be given a hard time and a number that is either someone elses, nonactive or another representative that will pass along false reassurance. Ashley Homestore has brought scratched & damaged furniture that still needs to be replaced to my home and has been here since July of this year. The employees at the local store are very useless, unhelpful, rude and seems annoyed to have to assist others. Each time I call the customer service line, I experience long waits and a representative that seems unhappy to help as well. Ive had to reexplain each time I call how Ive been waiting for almost two years for my furniture and the trouble Ive been given. Ive gone inside the store where Ive witnessed other unhappy customers asking for refunds. Ashley Homestore has decided to sell me a Bed that has items missing that Ive been waiting for just to finish having them put my bed together. Since Late July of this year, Ive had to call almost everyday to address these matters. I even offered to take whats on the floor because the store is obviously not able to sell the model if they dont even have the items to give. I find this a false representation to sell items to customers and announce later you no longer have the items. Im very upset as Ive not been able to enjoy my furniture and I am expected to still pay on the balance. I would like something to be done about receiving the remainder of my items.
It was the first time I buy furniture from Ashley and I paid for white gloves delivery. Unfortunately, 2 items were delivered not in boxes so they were cracked and with scratches. I refused them and the delivery guys called to report that. I was told that theyll follow up with me to schedule a new delivery for the damaged item but that was not done. Ive been waiting for 2 weeks now and I call them everyday but no one knows whats going on. Im filing a claim in the court for the money I lost with them.
Ashley furniture is the worst experience I have ever dealt with. After receiving my loveseat I April the mechanicals didnt work properly, their was a transformer in the middle console which I told them about. They dont send anyone out and just do exchanges. Thats mind boggling in itself. This is where the fun starts. I was given 7 different dates for the exchange of which, obviously, nothing happened or call. I moved furniture so they could make the exchange. The number 8th date I even had a time. I find the day of the delivery it was been rescheduled for another week. I call customer, who is in Texas and was told Im not listening. No reason just that my day has been changed again. Do not use Ashley furniture. They have no clue how to keep customers happy and satisfied. I do not recommend and have cancelled the sale since I put their credit card into arbitrartion. They now are trying to have me pay a delivery charge for a defective item. The store itself will not even talk to me. Im filing small case paperwork this week. This is just mindbogglingSince the delivery charge is nonrefundable by contract I have to pay but something to think about. Why is that written into the contract....could it be they sell so much defective furniture they had to cover costs? Is that possible? Something to think about. Buyer beware
Purchased a dining set from here in July that we were supposed to have in September. September turned into October and then into November. Frustrating for sure but I understand supply issues. November we learn were only getting out table and arm chairs and that our side chairs and bench are now not be delivered until January 2022... Date for the table delivery comes and the base is cracked in its packaging. This is extremely frustrating giving all my issues so far with my order but this kind of thing happens right? New date for the base was today in December. Truck arrives and they bring in the SAME BOX with the SAME CRACKED BASE from the initial delivery just over a week ago! How does that happen?! This whole experience with Ashley HomeStore has been awful, I wouldnt recommend them to anyone at this time.
Do not buy from here. Husband and I ordered a couch from here 4 months ago and told it woukd be delivered this month. Only a third delivered after they messed up the delivery initially due to human error. We have called and left so many messages, trying to get a hold of anyone that can help to no avail. We were promised many calls back that never came. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere.
I would give 0 stars if I could. Back in July/August I ordered a roughly $1400 table and chair set. It was delivered a few weeks later and it was damaged. Ok, not ideal but things happen.Today the replacement was delivered. Two men came in to put it together and mentioned that they had never put this particular table together before. They were in my kitchen for an hour swearing and calling Ashley trying to figure it out. They completely destroyed it trying to attach the legs. They drilled all the way through the table top 7 tied.The store did not care and the corporate office did not careThe
I went to the Westland Ashley Furniture store with an online appointment and the lady we were greeted by, Kia, was very rude. We let her know we had an appointment acted like she didn’t know what we were talking about. Basically said it was a dumb promotion the company started once she remembered it was an option now. I could tell she thought we were only coming in for the gift card because once we said we’re also looking for furniture she changed her whole tone and was suddenly happy to help us. She needs to work on her first impressions.
Unfortunately, my experience has not been great here. I never write reviews but Im just so discouraged at this point I feel compelled to spare the next potential buyer . Its so bad that no one even bothers to answer the phone. I dont know how to get ahold of anyone and convey the level of disappointment I am having with this store other than the potential inconvenience of driving out there to see if I can get a face to face meeting with a human. I understand the supply chain issues in the US make things difficult right now but a poor supply chain should not lead to poor customer service. There are still ways to handle the disappointment that customers are experiencing when they order something and there are constant delays that are not even communicated.
First time Customer and my experience with delivery has been awful. I had a good experience ordering in the Westland, MI store. But after waiting almost 4 months, still no bed. We were told that the finish we wanted would not be available until December. We agreed to wait. In November we received a message that it was ready to schedule delivery. We scheduled for Nov 26th, and no they never showed. We were rescheduled for Dec 3rd, and wrong headboard finish. The rails and footboard were the right ones and left at our home. We received another message which we scheduled a delivery for today(Dec 10th). They screwed up and were bringing us rails again. Delivery was canceled. Ive called Corporate, the Distribution Center, and Ashleys Westland Store relentlessly. I even went up to the Ashleys Westland store on Dec 8th, with Corporate on the phone so they can communicate with each other. I called for an update today 12/10 and was told I have a credit issue. I was also told that they just placed another order for my headboard today. Which would cause an issue with my credit account. I now have 2 open orders I never agreed to a reorder and that won’t be here until January. I have been trying to reach the account department and no one picks up, Ive even left messages. Me and my husband are beyond frustrated and at the point of canceling and obtain a lawyer. I absolutely hate to make this review but I have had no resolution.
Judging by my experience so far, I wouldn’t suggest wasting your time with these people. They have told me when to expect my couch multiple times. I have had to confirm delivery dates with them by text, email, and even over the phone day of. I’ve taken off of work and missed out on pay to be available, and then they tell me the delivery dates were only estimates. Or that they accidentally canceled my order. It’s been months after my original “estimate” and I will legit be surprised if I ever get my order. Try somewhere else.
The salesman Juan and manager Michelle were exceptional and patient. Juan took time and showed us everything in the store, until we were satisfied with our purchase, will recommend your Woodhaven store to family and friends, I was kinda disappointed that with all that we spent, we didnt get some sort of free gift, like a vase. I love the fact that it was a no pressure sale, they just wont try to sell you just anything, great store, great customer service.
I am so disappointed right now, I really thought that Ashley furniture is the number one but I regret not using rooms to go. Today is the third time they attempt to deliver our sofa love seat and ottoman; last Saturday they did not show up and never gave us any notice. Today we were supposed to receive all three items and they are just telling the day of that it won’t happened. It’s been four months we were supposed to get it in November; the worst thing is we don’t even know if it’s coming and when we call they are saying they will call us in three days to let us know ! I am just shocked 😳 and this is so not convenient since Christmas is next week; I will not recommend Ashley to anyone; I have never wrote a review before this is my first time because it was really not a good service
Our salesman Juan Torres (WOODHAVEN STORE) was genuinely wonderful and we typically like the quality of the products we have purchased in the past from the store. That being said, we will never return. We were mocked openly by two female staff members for wearing masks. They made no attempt to hide the fact that they were doing so. In and of itself it was insulting but given the fact that we had just picked up my mothers ashes it was a blow we did not need. We wear masks because we have an autistic daughter who has an autoimmune disease that causes her brain to swell. We have spent many years in and out of hospitals treating her relapses. People should think before they speak and refrain from mocking those who choose to wear the mask. There are reasons that some of us do so and every familys circumstances are different. Kindness people. Im saddened that we receive this kind of treatment from an otherwise charitable organization. We needed the bed frame to replace a broken one and frankly if we hadnt been so emotionally tired from the events of the past week we would have taken this purchase elsewhere as well.
Buyer beware. They will quote you 8-12 week delivery dates. Once you reach the 12 week mark they will extend it to 12 more weeks. Oh and they dont tell you about the delay upfront until you waste your valuable time and get ready to pay. Do not shop here your money will be tied up for no reason for 3 to 6 months Their supply chain is a mess and they have no inventory. Unapologetic employees. Customer service hangs up on you. Do not shop here
If you want great furniture with knowledgeable sales people look no further. At Ashley Furniture, you really get what you pay for. I had a great experience at the Woodhaven store. Mary was very helpful and put all my questions and concerns to rest. Also, she wasn’t pushy and made the whole process enjoyable. What an amazing store! It’s filled with a lot of quality furniture! Thank you!
I purchased a power reclining sofa and love seat combination as well as an end table today. I will follow up on my review once the items are received. The sales rep was very personable and knowledgeable with regards to the items that I purchased. I was told it is a possibility that I will receive the furniture by May.
My experience with Ashley Furniture was excellent. I had shopped there previously and bought a whole houseful of furniture. This time it was for a dining room set. Both times the service was great and the selections of furnishings are not only beautiful but very good quality. I highly recommend Ashley Furniture. You will not be disappointed.
I went in to just look around and was surprised by the selection and the quality of their furniture. Almost everything I wanted to see from the website was on display. I’m pretty sure I first dealt with Alyson or Alicia, she was wonderful. She showed me several options, made suggestions based on my floor and wall color, and was very knowledgeable. I told her I was going to continue looking, I like to do my own thing, in the interim she had a customer come to pick up their order. She immediately had her co-worker Brenda (maybe) assist me. Everything was smooth and it was such an awesome experience. They have come a long way from the suit and tie what can I get you to buy days. I was very pleased. Thanks again!
What a pleasure to browse a furniture store without hoards of salespeople descending upon one!! After several minutes, Michelle did offer her assistance. She was knowledgeable about the products and what factors should be considered for selection. The furniture was mostly contemporary but featured a number of styles and woods and fabrics. Had never been in this store, will definitely return and recommend.
Worked with Michelle P. She was very helpful and sweet. Did not bother us or push us into buying anything. Made sure we got a good deal on everything we ordered. We went 4 other stores that werent Ashley and were thrown into a frenzy of employees constantly asking if we needed help. It was nice to not feel overwhelmed by salesman asking a ton of questions. However, the first couch I received was broken and took months to get a replacement sorted out. 2 different repair men came out to try and fix it but eventually decided they couldnt. All in all it took about 6 months to receive the couch.
I purchased 6 seaters sectional sofa back in March 2021 and I waited 4 months but still I didnt receive the entire set. Everytime when I call the store they tell me different delivery dates. So I finally canceled my order. If they dont have any items in stock than they should atleast tell their customers upfront when they purchase any item. I didnt like their customer service at the Westland, MI store.
So disappointed!!! I purchased the warranty for my new sofa only because I knew my grands would be using it. My sofa is about a year and a half old. Got a couple of stains and decided to deal with them per warranty…I thought. After calling several times I was finally able to speak with someone. I was on the phone for about a half hour….went through an interrogation… over two stains. I did not receive an appointment for someone to even come out and look at it. DON’T PURCHASE THE WARRANTY!!!!! Big waste of money!
Went to Ashley Furniture looking for a bed frame, we found one that we really liked. The sales rep was very friendly and not over baring stalking us around the store. She was there when we needed answers to our questions and gave us room and freedom to look at the items. The store was clean and well maintained and they hd a wide variety of items. Only downside is the wait time for items but that is circumstantial due to the current market.Update: 8/17/2021So after waiting a few months for the bed frame we purchased we just found out that it has been discontinued and cannot be delivered. And the store has no more king size bed frames in stock. So we waited months for this bed frame and received no updates in regards to the status until we hounded them for answers. Wasting my time and offering no solutions to the problem is why my review went from 5 stars to 1. And now I have an ashley furniture credit card to a store I’ll NEVER do business with again 🤦♂️.
Overall had a very terrible experience, the sales team was fine its everything else that occurred after. We bought a bedroom furniture set from them, first issue was they told us to pickup the furniture via text at the depot, we show up and the furniture wasnt actually ready, so we wasted gas getting out there and customer support was not very friendly or helpful, we decided to pay for delivery and THIS was the biggest issue. The delivery team installed the bedframe wrong in multiple ways, drawers squeaked and the foundation platform was loose and sliding out of place. The smallest dresser was chipped at the bottom and the crew installed it and quickly left. We then called customer support about this and they had the audacity to tell my girlfriend she shouldve made sure they installed it correctly... like my girlfriend is supposed to know that. Isnt professional delivery and installation what we payed for? It gets worse unfortunately, they then told us yesterday they were delivering it Thursday and my girlfriend got a call Wednesday morning saying theyd be here today. AND they had the wrong address and told my girlfriend to go to that address when they get there and have them follow her to our house... while the furniture itself is high quality, dont expect any bit of decent customer support if you have any issues. Also expect the delivery and installation crew to have no idea what they are doing... Literally no professionalism.
My 1st visit to Ashley home furniture. I was amazed that they make their own furniture. The furniture is very nice and sturdy. And I also want to give our sales person 5 stars, I think her name was Allison(Westland store). You dont meet many people with the excellent gift of great customer service, but this young lady did. Honestly people in the sales business dont move me easily, so this is truly someone to go see if youre looking for a great furniture experience ! She was funny, ,gave honest helpful advise, and allowed us to browse at our leisure. Oh after reading reviews, I must add that we did not purchase any furniture due to the extremely long delivery wait. But it was still an AWESOME experience!
Amazing experience. I dealt with Jessica at the Westland, MI store and she made it so easy. She was extremely helpful and worked so hard to make our vision into a reality, and SHE GOT THE JOB DONE! Ashley Furniture has the best furniture (design, durability, and Quality) out of all the other furniture stores visited, and they offer an excellent coverage plan to keep the furniture looking new!I highly recommend going there whether before or after other stores, and the difference will be noticed almost immediately. I can go on and on about the difference in quality, design, experience, options, and most customer service, but why bother when you can go check it out for yourself!!
We just bought our first home! Now we had the process of trying to add furniture....overwhelming, but so exciting at the same time!! Our sales agent was Alexis in Woodhaven, MI. She was as sweet and patient as could be! She didn’t rush us or pressure us, but she was always there for answers and advice! We couldn’t be happier or more excited about the purchase of our complete bedroom set that is BEAUTIFUL and affordable! We are so excited to go back for our living room furniture! There are so many options that are stylish and budget friendly... I’m so happy we found this store!
I will never shop at an Ashley Home Furniture location again. The staff in the store was very friendly and helpful, but extremely deceptive in how they conduct business. I ordered an item and was given a GUARANTEED date in which it would be ready. 5 months later they have pushed back that date 7 times, with no hope of an actual delivery any time soon. I am extremely fortunate that this is not an essential item for my home, because I would have had to either find or temporary replacement or go without for nearly half a year (and counting). Based on so many other reviews, the sales staff is taking of advantage of customer’s trust by taking money for items that they know fully well will not be available to them for a very long time. I have never been offered any sort of compensation for the time and inconvenience of paying money for a good that they are withholding from me. Buyers beware.
Brian was super friendly and made sure we got the best deal possible! He was not overbearing and super helpful. He gave us information on the products that we were buying, and didn’t try to sway our decision to more expensive products. We are exciting to receive our furniture in the upcoming weeks!
Back in August, I purchased a sectional that was supposed to be delivered by the end of October (hint, never happened). Besides the fact that every time I called the number, it rang and rang with no answer while it being nearly impossible to get a hold for my sales associate, Elton, through this whole matter. My first delay made the delivery for the week of Thanksgiving (understandable with the times of how there could be some sort of delay). When we finally got a hold of someone (we had to call them mind you) the lady seemed apologetic, but within a few minutes on the phone... the delivery was delayed another few days... what? . We received a partial refund, and was told to call back on December 15th (today) to see the status of the delivery that was supposed to be for December 30. With no explanation, they told us that the delivery was now pushed back AGAIN for another 12 to 15 weeks. This place is a joke, 9 months for a couch delivery? You will never get my business again. I either want my couch, now or a refund. I spent too much for this to be an issue. Also, quit promoting blowout sales and new furniture pieces if you cant even fulfill the orders you have now.
I had been in this store twice before I went in today to make my purchase, each time I worked with a different sales associate. The sales associate, Jessica, that I worked with today was the absolute best! She listened to what I wanted and helped me make a selection today! She explained every piece of furniture (along with their features), she thoroughly answered all my questions and even offered the AHS protection plan! Because I had such an amazing experience with Jessica I walked around the store a little longer to see what other pieces of furniture I would like to add in my new home!
Excellent furniture selection. We set a budget, and were able to find a sofa & loveseat in the color we wanted with the features we wanted within the budget. My favorite part of the shopping experience at this store was that there was no high pressure sales person trying to talk us into something we didnt want just to make a sale. The associate helping us was personable. Other associates simply asked us if we were being helped while walking by if the associate helping us wasnt nearby. All together a great shopping experience!
Jay was very helpful with us purchasing a new couch. He was friendly and courteous, all while being quite busy. Thanks so much Jay!Update: we were told 2-4 weeks for delivery and after 6 weeks we finally heard from them. They never return calls and rarely answer the phone. We ended up cancelling our order for new couches and will go somewhere else.
Do NOT do business with this company. We ordered a couch and shelving unit in July. After numerous delays we didn’t receive anything until mid November.We are still waiting on the shelf. The WRONG couch was delivered (mirror imagine of order) with a stain. The drivers did not have the correct tool to install the legs, so they left it laying on the floor. Additionally, we were shorted bolts and expected to not only install ourselves, but go to the hardware store and purchase the parts needed on our own.Priscilla, the store operations manager failed to return promised calls and no one picks up the phone when you call the store.I took a day off work to come into the store to arrange a fix. They tried to turn me away telling me to call corporate again. Instead, I am requiring another store manager to call corporate and wait on hold with me.So far we’ve been on hold for 30minutes and were disconnected.The store will not pick up the incorrect product or refund our money for another 2 weeks.Additionally, while all of this is going on, Ashley is currently selling the couch for less than we paid for it 3.5 months ago.Last but not least, the majority of the staff at this store in all of our visits either failed to wear a mask, or wore it under their chin and did not social distance.So on top of breaking price trust, failure to deliver product or suitable customer service, Ashley Homestore even makes you feel unsafe.Never again.
Our experience with sales and purchasing our couch and chair was great. Our sales rep, Jay, was phenomenal - friendly and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, that’s where our great experience ends. We received our couch with two rips in each arm from the delivery guys taking the plastic wrapping off with a knife. We also did not receive the matching throw pillows. After waiting on hold for an hour, I placed a claim with customer service. A week later, I had not heard anything. I called customer service back, waiting another hour on hold, and spent an additional 45 minutes talking with a customer service rep because her computer apparently would not let her put in multiple claims into the system. I was told I would receive a call from a repair tech within 24-48 hours to go over details on fixing the rips. Four days later, I still have not heard anything. I, again, tried calling customer service for an update, but was hung up on both times. Overall, my experience with Ashley’s customer service has left me extremely dissatisfied.
First time there...what a beautiful store!!Alexis was the Associate that helped me lovely gal,very personable.Enjoyed working with her.Wonderful experience..got exactly what I wanted and at a great price too!Ill be back for sure for any future purchases.UPDATE:Been a week since placing my order and have a delivery date already for June 11th..Im thrilled.Lets hope all goes well.
Terrible experience after purchase, at first we were told we will receive our delivery in 16 weeks and we understood things are getting delayed due to COVID and thats fine. Finally, we got an email saying we are receiving our furniture after few months and 1st delivery came with 1/3rd of our order. We received sectional with missing cushions and throw pillows and didnt receive right bed set, so we had to send that back.After multiple calls and hours of waiting on hold - we got another delivery scheduled next week. It gets even better 2nd time: we received headboard and rails for our bed but missing footboard . Yayyy right !!So, obviously we refused to take our order and sent that 2nd delivery back. Now, back to the wonderful phone calls to customer service begins - in order to get the missing cushions for our sectional - I needed to provide serial numbers which are located underneath the sofa and after an hour wait - they cannot even find serial numbers in their amazing technology they use to lookup...Moreover, they come back and asked me that I should pay for missing pillows for them to order. At this point , I am like beyond frustrated. How can someone ask customers to pay for missing items from the original delivery ????Absolutely worst furniture store and customer experience that I ever had to face and wouldnt recommend them to even my worst enemy.Update :04/12 - After multiple calls to the store and guest response team, now we are scheduled for a redeliver of missing items on 20th( including cushions and throw pillows) . But, I am not confident at this point that I will receive all missing items. Fingers crossed!!Update on 4/19: So, for the fourth time now the delivery is postponed and rescheduled for may 13th.. seriously people stay away from this business. A bunch of liars running a sketchy business. I wonder whats their customer retention rate is. Would be surprised if its more than 1 percent ..Update on 5/7: Still no missing parts for our sectional and the dates keep getting postponed. Nobody communicates when things get postponed unless we reach out 3 or 4 times to customer care. Maybe I will get my items next year by this time...
Absolutely fell in love with the furniture. After visiting several stores we found the living room set of our dreams at the Woodhaven Store. Our sales woman was very helpful and patient. Showed us everything that we would be interested in and clarified any questions we had. We will definitely be going back for our new bedroom set also. Love this store.
UPDATE 12/4Still no couch. Still being given dates, then canceled. They have knocked roughly 40% off, but Im still waiting for the couch....UPDATE 9/21- I emailed, like requested, and received a response. It stated that Id be contacted within 2 business days, which I was not. I emailed them back and was sent an apology and was told that I would be contacted asap. I was emailed by someone asking if Id still like to cancel my order. I told them that I wish I could but I already have half the set. They told me that they would find out if my order can be expedited, and would get back with me. We were emailing back and forth pretty quickly, but when I responded stating that I think I should get a discount, I got no response. I emailed again today, with still no response. Im looking to buy an additional sectional couch and a new bed, but I dont even want to go here for future purchases. This is unreal, the lack of communication is horrible. Im a pretty understanding guy and if I could get someone to actually call me to discuss, itd go a long way.I ordered a couch the first week of June, and was toldthat it would be 2 weeks or so before delivery. I have since been given multiple dates, as each approaches it is pushed back further. Ive spent a minimum of 1 hour on hold each time Ive called and have gotten no results. The last call I made, I was told that Id be contacted by the store directly, to discuss options. I waited over a week before I went in to the store on Saturday and was told that it was going to be November before I receive my couch. They told me that they were going to see if they can get it faster and would call me, I am still waiting on that call, days later. The couch in question is still being displayed in their store, with no notes about being out of stock. If I didnt already receive the love seat, Id just cancel this order and go elsewhere.Im sick of waiting on my couch and even more sick of waiting on hold for an hour or more each time I call. This is absolutely insane to have to wait this long.
Our experience with the service and salesman at the store was excellent. However, we have been waiting almost 2 months for delivery. They schedule my delivery and then move it multiple times. The latest delivery was set for this Saturday the 29th; however, I received a message this morning that now it is pushed to middle to end of next week. This happens weekly. I called to address the issue and the lady said my furniture is not at the wearhouse and hung up on me! This is absolutely unacceptable. We are canceling our order and going elsewhere. We will never buy from Ashley again.
Zero stars for this HomeStore. We booked an appointment online so we could browse for a couch. We decided on one in-store and worked with a salesperson to purchase on 9/7. Our estimated receiving date, as stated on our paperwork, was 10/16. With no phone call or email to tell us if our furniture was being delivered, we attempted to call the phone number on the paperwork and online all day. We could not get anyone to answer the call. We resorted to the online chat where the customer service rep told us our estimated shipping date is 12/8. A reasonable business would contact a customer if their arrival date had changed. On top of wasting a day trying to figure out where our money went and why no one at this business is answering the phone, we must go to the store to cancel our purchase. There are no excuses for poor customer service and business procedures. Avoid Ashley HomeStore!Update: We went to the store and they figured out a way to get us our furniture by the end of the month. I would still not recommend this store due to the run-around we needed to do as a customer when all the business needed to do was answer the phone.
If I could, I would give my experience with Ashley HomeStore zero stars. I went into the store in the first week of September and ordered a three piece sectional to be delivered in late November. When the date rolled around that we were supposed to receive the couch and I had not heard anything, I called customer service to figure out what was going on and they told me that the manufacturer pushed back the date to the following week. This trend went on for several weeks... me calling customer service, them letting me know the delivery date was being pushed back. I was frustrated but understood that due to COVID things are moving slower than normal. I called back this past Thursday to once again check up on my order and the customer service representative told me that one part of the sectional had been discontinued and I would no longer be able to receive my order. My options were to get a refund or come in to select a new sectional. At no point did Ashley HomeStore reach out to me in this whole process, even when they knew that the items had been discontinued. The customer service I received was variable, with some agents very professional and helpful and one agent who actually yelled at me. Overall I am highly dissatisfied and would not recommend anyone order from Ashley HomeStore.
Purchased a mattress back in November of 2020. Was out of stock and delivery date kept getting pushed back. Understandable as I know there are delays due to Covid. We cancelled the order. It has been over 2 weeks and still no refund after calling daily. Will not shop at an Ashley Furniture store again.
Bought furniture from them recently, waiting very long time for it (three months ) when they showed up they didn’t connect everything right. It fell apart after they left when I went to plug in the lights to it. ( it was a TV unit) and now they won’t do anything about it other than replace it and I would like them to reimburse me and take it back but they won’t . It’s too expensive for something like this to be happening, also worse customer experience and service ever. I will never buy from them again!
I will never shop at Ashley again! Ordered a sectional back in mid September that was scheduled to be delivered December 12th. The salesperson was kind, but seemed like she didnt totally know what she was doing. She almost overcharged us which I had to point out. Then our street was spelled incorrectly on the sales order. Anyway delivery date came and went with no communication whatsoever. A week after that, I finally decided to call and check the status. The lady I spoke to on the phone was not very helpful/friendly. She said they only had one piece of it and the rest they wouldnt have until the last week of February tentatively. My only options were to keep waiting, go back to the store and reselect (ha!), or just get a refund. Im sure in another week or so (the end of February), there will still be no communication and my delivery date will get pushed further back which means Ill be requesting a full refund.Meanwhile, my parents went to Gardner White and got their furniture delivered same day.
I had the worst experience ever with Ashley furniture. I ordered sectional from them in July, it’s December now and still waiting. The worst thing is that they keep scheduling the date and promising me that order will be delivered but then they call a day before to cancel the delivery because order is not ready to ship yet. They never pick up your phone at the store and when I call the customer service, I’m on hold for at least 40 minutes or more. Finally, when I can get in contact with someone at the customer service, they keep giving me a furniture delivery date, which has been postponed probably more than five times now. My husband also went to the store two times and they also give him a promising date which never seem to come to an end because they still don’t have our furniture ready to ship yet and they keep changing the date. I wanted to talk to someone at higher level at corporate but customer service person refused to give me any contact information for them and told me a manager will contact me, apparently they never did. Ashley Furniture Homestore, don’t take my money and my business if you can’t deliver your product or service even after more than four months. We’ve been very patient because of COVID situation but enough is enough. Never again will I do any business with Ashley.
You don’t even wanna know the hell you’ll go through if you order from them. i’m contacting a lawyer and getting a full refund because i’ll be damnned if i ever get stuck with the terrible quality furniture they scam you for. they lied to me for over a year telling me a delivery date and would never show. it took a year and a month to finally get all my furniture which was DAMAGED when i got it. i’m contacting headquarters and washing my hands with them. do yourself a favor and go to gardner white. this place will be your worst experience ever buying furniture they lie about having.
Communication is a huge issue here. I ordered a couch set in June and they have no idea when it is going to come. Apparently it is just sitting in a warehouse. The rep when I bought the set told me one month. Anytime I call its a 30 to 45 min wait for them to just tell me the date has been pushed back another month. Never once have they apologized, or offered any other resolution. I would have gone elsewhere if I knew this was going to be a 5 month wait thats just crazy. Again the furniture is great but communication has been less than stellar.
Salesperson was really helpful and reassuring. Brand new store. The delivery of the furniture was less than acceptable. Was told furniture was made upon order and shipped within 1 week. Well, 1 week became 2 weeks, then 3 weeks...you get where Im going. After giving up on excuses they wanted a 25% surcharge for returning the funds paid on American Express card. Manager was rude at this point. Had to contact the corporate office to get it resolved and all funds returned. After 2 weeks of waiting past initial delivery there was no trust left for this store. My mom, sister and I visited the Ashley furniture store in Westland today. Place was very organized and clean. I had a wonderful experience with Eldon. He was professional, respectful, and extremely patient. He was able to help me answer all questions and any concerns I had.Eldon also took the time to explain our financial options for our purchases. I highly recommend Ashley furniture. Be sure to ask for Eldon.
I was greeted upon entering and treated very well throughout my visit. I had picked the sleeper sofa I wanted online so I was there to get more info and order my sleeper sofa. I have been online shopping for 2 weeks and Ashley is the only place with 8 memory foam mattresses. We all know how uncomfortable a sleeper sofa with a thin innerspring mattress is. I got all the info I needed, ordered it and my entire transaction was complete in less than 30 minutes. You cant beat that.
Fantastic selection of furniture, however I found the salesperson to be a bit much. They were very nice, but it was a little overbearing. They followed us around the entire store and commented on everything we were looking at. We explained that we were just browsing, trying to get ideas and that wed seek them out whenever we were ready to make a purchase. It would have been nice to browse the furniture without having someone follow us around and stop us every few moments to talk. Ultimately, we ended up leaving because of this and chose to purchase our new furniture at another store.
We visited Ashley furniture in Woodhaven today and was Assistant by miss Alexis. She was very knowledgeable and helped in making the correct decision on our mattress purchase. As well as her suggestion on a new bedroom set. We purchased all that she suggested and we were very impressed with her knowledge on the new arrival that she showed us for the bedroom set. She made our purchase easy and affordable.
It took about 3 months for furniture delivery and once it was delivered the product was damaged and I was on hold for over 20 minutes to report the issue and they could not guarantee they could remedy the matter timely or at all. I was routed to a call center for that report. There was no manager that they could send me to. I attempted to call the store i purchased the furniture at, but no one would pick up my call. I also had issue with another delivery. Needless to say I would not recommend Ashley unless you want to wait 3 months for damaged goods and bad customer services and delivery drivers who dont wear masks during Covid.
I got the best attention. Braulio was very sweet, personable and answered every question I had. Made the whole process so easy. Great customer service overall. I’m in love with the pieces I chose. Will definitely be back for more furniture in the future. Thank you!!!
The sales staff at the Westland Michigan location was helpful. But our experience since has been a total nightmare. On Tuesday we were delivered 1/2 of a Temperpedic adjustable split-king mattress set. While trying to resolve the issue, my husband was hung up on by their delivery department and the store manager has failed to return his call 2 days in a row. The social media department is filing some kind of “ticket” to the Regional Management staff, that we can’t expect resolution on for “48 business hours.”We literally spent $10,000 on a new bedroom set, so that now either my husband or I have to sleep on the couch, until SOMEONE decides to address our issues.Spend your money with a company that resolves issues instead of hiding from them, by putting countless layers of hourly and commissioned staff in place without the resources to resolve problems!
First of all, they screen any reviews you place directly on the website products and simply do not post the bad reviews. I posted about a problem we were having with our new furniture and they simply did not allow it to be posted. Next I contacted customer service to get the problem addressed. It is always at least a 15 minute hold time to get to talk to a human (whether it is just to check on shipping or to discuss a problem). I was told I would receive a call in 24-48 hours to set up an appointment to have someone come look at the problem and we are at day 4 with no phone call received. Im glad we did not buy the additional warranty if this is how they are going to treat customers.Update 11/30/2020: emailed customer service, have now placed 3 phone calls and still no progress on resolution. Reducing to one star and would give you zero if I could.Update 12/8/2020: Still have not received any phone calls to schedule the service appointment.Update 1/10/2021: Zero contact from anyone regarding my issue since last updateUpdate 1/29/2021: Emailed again, still no response or contact from this company.2/2/2021: Received email asking for picture of problem. Sent video of problem since it has to do with movement and sound. Was told they are looking into it and would get back to me.3/17/2021: Still no response or progress. Chair is driving us nuts.
Got a great deal on a beautiful, super-comfy recliner and saved so much, I was also able to get a chair table and lamp to have next to it!Michelle (Phillips-Baker) was helpful and knowledgeable without pressuring me with sales-talk. She made my visit not only successful but an enjoyable experience as well!
Awful! Bought a sofa at the beginning of August and they told me November for delivery. Called them once December hit and they said maybe March. I would give negative stars if I could. Had to cancel my order and go to Gardner White. Well once I said I wanted to cancel i got a call from the store and now Im getting it next week and getting a discount. Giving 3 stars because the customer service at Westland was very good when they heard about the shipping issues.
Ordered on September 7th and keep getting the run around with customer service. Was told 8-12 weeks MAX for delivery, its been 20 weeks and still no furniture in sight. Unacceptable. Everytime I call customer service I get a different answer. The worst is when the rep left me sitting on the phone in silence for 5 minutes then just disconnected the call. Who does that? Everyday that goes by is another day added to my expected delivery date. I want my furniture or a refund. We have been patient and kind with everyone we have spoken to, but I cant pay for something that I cant even get a straight answer on if or when I will receive it.
This was my first time going to Ashley HomeStore in Woodhaven and it was such a great experience! I went in with thoughts of just seeing what was in store and I ended up purchasing a new queen bed! (I was long overdue lol) Michelle the sales associate was such a tremendous help! As i was just browsing i asked about the various mattresses and she explained all the various types. She was so kind and helpful I saw one queen mattress that was on clearance that i liked. Long story short i left and came back and got the bed. She even helped with me getting transport for it because it was big. After i paid for it and came back to pick it up Michelle and John who I think was the manager wrapped up the mattress and John helped me get it onto the flatbed of the truck. Awesome service i will definitely be looking to make more purchases from here in the future! Satisfied customer!
The quality of your furniture matches well with the customer service your representatives provide; they’re both very poor. I have spent about $10K with Ashley over the past few years and I have an issue with my tabletop and it’s been ongoing for a year with no luck. Fast Furniture Repair has cancelled all three times at the end of the 4 hour window resulting in my taking 3 days off from work for no reason. I have email documentation of the issues I’ve experienced and trying to get ahold of someone. Buyers beware, sales reps will sell you anything and everything however Ashley refuses to stand behind the products that they sell. Highly dissatisfied customer and I’ve reported them to the BBB. I will make it a point to share my experience with Ashley furniture every single day on every social media platform to warn others. I will also be printing photos of the damaged goods and share those with surrounding communities to let everyone know their furniture is garbage.
Workers were great. Friendly and helpful. Store is clean, well lit and set up nicely.Items were a bit over priced for the quality. Shelving units were wobbly. I didnt purchase the item I wanted because it wouldnt be available until October. I do understand this is happening all over because of the past year with Covid and not the fault of the store.One big improvement would be a designated clearance area.
First it was a so so sales experience. We had to work with 3 different sales people who all had something different to say. Finally find something have it delivered. 3 re deliverys later and the problems still arent fixed. We settle because it is hidden. Now the furniture is falling apart. The ottoman is caveing in on a corner. Seams and frames are pulling apart. There so called awesome cover everything warranty will cover none of it. Buyer beware. Terrible service terrible furniture. First time buying brand new furniture and it was awful. Buyers beware.Update: After having somebody contact us after leaving the bad review. They have done nothing and told us they would do nothing to fix their busted furniture. Ashley says contact the warranty company the warranty company says contact Ashley. Nothing but a run around. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!!!
I wish I could give a lower rating!!! We ordered our furniture the middle of July and was told 6-8 weeks for delivery. Well it’s been 8 weeks now with no update on a delivery date and when I called customer service, after sitting on hold FOREVER, she tells me it’s going to be another 6 weeks before it’s delivered!! So we have to sit on the floor in our new house even longer because we still don’t have our furniture! Every time I had them transfer me to a supervisor they just hung up on me. I will NEVER be shopping here again!
I have had an absolutely horrible experience with Ashley furniture and cannot stress enough that if you’re looking for furniture, you should look anywhere else. I ordered a bed frame, dresser, mattress, and movable foundation on 8/31/20 with an estimated delivery date of 9/30/20. That day came and went. I was contacted on 10/18/20 to schedule delivery and I scheduled for 11/7. I was called at 7:45 PM on the delivery date to inform me that they weren’t allowed to work longer than 12 hours so my delivery would need to be pushed to the next scheduled day. They assured me I would be first on the schedule for the next delivery date which would be the following Tuesday. I called on Monday to confirm this, and after waiting on hold for 20 minutes, was informed the delivery drivers have no control over the schedule and should not have told me that. The next availability wasn’t until 11/18. I scheduled for that day and was assured everything would be delivered then. On 11/18, the drivers ‘forgot’ my dresser and side rails for the bed and this shipment did not include my mattress and foundation as this was now scheduled in a separate delivery for 11/21. They assured me these items would be delivered as soon as possible and my bed would be assembled. I called and waited on hold for another 20 minutes to ensure this was accurate. I was informed I would be contacted by the delivery service before the end of the week and that it was very likely the side rails and dresser would be delivered on Saturday with my mattress and my bed would be assembled. I received a text message on 11/19 that the dresser and rails were scheduled for delivery on 11/21 between 9:15 AM-12:15PM and the mattress and foundation were still scheduled to be delivered between 5:15-8:15PM per the automated phone service when I called and the previous text message I received.It is now the morning of 11/21 and I was called this morning and informed my dresser and side rails are available for delivery and asked if I wanted to schedule that. The woman I spoke with stated the delivery was not actually scheduled for these items for today, there is no record of them being scheduled in their system, and all she is able to do is schedule them for the future and there is no one else I can speak to in order to have this issue resolved in a timely manner. The next available delivery date for these items is now 12/3 and they cannot adjust the schedule to make accommodations for the remarkable failures of their team. I work on 12/3 and was scheduled to go out of town starting 12/4. They cannot schedule me for the following week because it’s too far in advance (???) and cannot guarantee a time for delivery on 12/4. So now I have had to postpone my trip and have already taken time off of work for these deliveries to still not have a functional bed set.I cannot comprehend how a company can function so poorly and still remain in business. This is completely unacceptable.Update on 12/6/20:I contacted the below email. I was offered 10% off only the order with the bed frame and dresser. My delivery date was unable to be moved to sooner than 12/4 even though this email is supposedly the ‘escalations team’. The crew arrived on 12/4 and discovered they did not have the hardware kit to set up my bed. I spoke with a woman named Cindy who said she would drop off the hardware kit personally if it was in stock and that a crew would be back after 4PM that afternoon to set up the bed. I received the hardware on my front porch however the crew never arrived to set up. My dresser was left in the living room to give them room to set up the bed under the pretense that they would be back that evening to set up the bed and move the dresser upstairs. Now the dresser is in the living room and I still do not have my bed set up. The response of the escalations email listed below was as follows:Good afternoon,I apologize about the incontinence mam, I also send an emergency response ticket to the distribution center to send out someone to assemble the items for you.
Ordered furniture May 15th. Over $4,000 worth. Had 4 delivery dates now. Now another date of August 5th. So take my money then jerk me around about dates. Never will I shop here again. Also of my stuff isnt shipped by this date. I will be cancelling the whole order. Worst customer service.

While the furniture seems of good quality, as was the purchase experience in the store, delivery and customer service after the fact have been a nightmare. Seems to be a theme amongst these reviews, so sounds like you have a 50/50 shot. Sharing some details of my experience for others:The delivery crew was very unprofessional, slightly damaging an item rushing it through the door. They were in a rush as I was their last stop and they wanted to beat traffic. (they told me this)Further they also forgot the feet to one of my couches at the distribution center, and would not return to deliver them. I then spoke to an incredibly rude woman on their cell phone who said it would take 10-14 days to have them shipped. Nothing they could do to expedite, no apology for the inconvenience, and she basically hung up on me. (come to find out 2 weeks later, she never put the order in for my feet, so Ive had to wait double the time)After also calling the Westland store over 15 times in 3 weeks, they did offer to return me the delivery fee. This was 2+ weeks ago, and I have yet to see this return to my card, even though they have emailed me a receipt they sent to their accounting department. (Every time I call, they dont know what the hold up is)I have spoken to Priscilla (manager) who has promised to call me back 3+ times and has yet to do so. Ive had to keep calling them every couple of days to get (non) status updates.The entire process and poor customer service has been incredibly frustrating, so please beware if you are considering purchasing here.
Greatly disappointed with the service they offer. I ordered by bed set 2 months ago and they said we will get the delivery in first week of October. I have been trying to call them since beginning of October and every time they are pushing the delivery further for 2 weeks. Store representative at Westland, MI store was really rude and cannot provide enough information. Look for better customer service at different furniture stores.
Westland store employee Brandon provided us with really poor customer service. He never phoned us to tell us when our furniture would be in. He told us the longest delivery would take was 8 weeks. He did not reach out to us for an update or anything. I don’t know what the furniture is like but the experience was awful. I will never shop at Ashley furniture again. It’s been two months we still don’t have our furniture. Customer service is everything!!! It’s not ok for people to spend their money and still have nothing to show for it
Got everything ordered with no issues. Had delivery confirmed and it was cancelled without warning. Had the 2nd delivery confirmed and it was cancelled without warning. Went ahead and cancelled my order since they are not able to deliver on the confirmed dates after having to adjust my schedule to accommodate. Would not recommend.
The shop looks nice and they have decent selection of original furniture, BUT when we ordered a dining set, we found out it will he ready in more than month - well we can wait, we thought. But then 2 days before delivery date I had to call them to find out they postponed the delivery by another month. No apology or compensation, just deal with that. Youll receive text when we are ready to deliver.The two stars are for Ron, who has great sales personality and helped us to pick the set.
Horrible will never shop there again they lie and sell furniture thats not in stock. They do not contact you or return your calls make you sign off to wait and when it goes by the deadline you still have no furniture no answer the manager priscilla lies that she can get you your furniture and nothing. I have been waiting since Aug was called for a delivery then to be called back the next day and told you have nothing coming even though I was sent a email to confirm delivery took off work to get nothing. Then was told 12 weeks and a date of Nov 16 when I called customer service and today was told sometime in December unsure will send an email to the manufacturer to call you. Which you never receive a call, worst store worst shopping experience ever all you get is lies. Wish I could give no stars
HORRIBLE...DO NOT SHOP HERE. I bought 2 couches, 2 coffee tables and a bedframe and head board. It took them 5 months to deliver. Everytime I called i was on hold for at least 45 mins. I finally got my items 4 months ago and its already falling apart. The coffee table legs are uneven so they wobble The couches are coming apart at the seams and the bedframe just broke. After looking at the broken frame its apparent that they use extremely cheap materials
I ordered a dresser and mirror on July 9 & it did not get delivered until September 1 and when it arrived the mirror was broken. I told the delivery guys and he said they make a note on my account, the representatives are giving me the runaround, I keep getting transferred and they tell me they will call me back and no one never calls , no one is trying to come pick the mirror up and give me a replacement or give me a refund! I tried going to multiple locations but I continue to get a horrible expirence ... I truly miss art van! They told me they couldnt price match their online price and basically told me they would prefer if I bought it myself online. Basically didnt care if I bought it in store with an associate he just said you get free shipping in store but that he suggests me to buy it online since the price is different.
I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing. Absolutely the worst customer service. We ordered & PAID for our furniture on July 10th and have not received one update from Ashley on the status of our order. Instead I have to sit on the phone for a 1/2 hour waiting for someone to answer & tell me they have no idea when my furniture will be at the warehouse. My order also does not show online so I also cannot track it there. I just feel totally disrespected as a customer which sucks because I really loved what they had to offer. boo.
Everybody was in such a great mood! Very friendly and straight forward as well. Arifa was AWESOME! she informative and not pushy at all which made the purchase easy and without any second guessing. Will probably go back this location because every time we shop they were very professional and genuine. Thanks Arifa and everyone at the Ashley Furniture family!!!!
I am writing this review after waiting 2+ months for my furniture that I was told would be here 4 weeks ago and counting. I also am constantly being told varying dates and getting texts saying it will arrive on a specific date and then no one shows up and I had taken the day off and arranged someone to be home to accept furniture that never comes. This has happened twice now and I have half a sectional and dining chairs without the table. No one answers their phone in the store and customer service is terrible.
Do not shop here period. If you want delivery you have to order the furniture and it never shows up. If you want to buy whats on the floor they wont deliver it. We wanted to buy a $4500 sectional sofa but they dont offer delivery of any kind. I work 6 days a week every week and dont have time to rent a uhaul as the sales man said and get a bunch of friends for the few hours a week i have free. Every other furniture store in the world offers delivery. The salesman was rude because we werent going to rent a truck to pick it up. He said we have 2 days to get it out of the store. I cancelled everything right there and then. Thats your job to get it to my house not mine. I would never order furniture and wait months for it like all the art van customers did, most will never get their money back.
Ordered a sectional on March 9th with delivery scheduled during the 2nd week of May to our new house(we moved in on the 1st of May).The delivery got pushed out to first week of June, then the last week of June, then to July and now to September. The communication from Ashley about these delays have been extremely poor. We only got one phone call from the sales representative after the 3rd or 4th delay at which point he mentioned getting back to us with details of compensation for the delay which he never did. customer service agents and sales representatives have been giving mismatching information about delivery dates, compensation for delays etc. Overall, highly dissatisfied with Ashley.
We found a couch and love it. The sales guy was great... The problems since have been a headache! We were told that delivery would reach out to us 2 days after the order. 3 days later, I reached out to check on the status. We were told at the store that there would be 2-4 weeks until delivery. When I got through to someone after a half hour wait on the phone, they told us that were going to have to wait 2 months. I spoke with a manager at the store who seemed very distracted and she told me she would put in a ticket with corporate to see if we can move things along. I have yet to hear back from anyone. Had I known all of this, Id have avoided it. You can buy the same couch cheaper online...
DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSE EMAIL BELOW REPLIED IMMEDIATELY SAYING THEY CANT ASSIST BEING THIS STORE IS OUT OF AREA. As many others have stated, Im listing this as a 1 star rating because it cant go any lower. I ordered a bedroom set and sectional in the first week of September with an estimated 6 week delivery. Its now December and I have only received the wedge of my sectional and the bedframe and mattress. Upon delivery (after being rescheduled twice) the delivery drivers told me they didnt have the all of the boxes to build my bedframe. After going out to search the truck once more they left altogether. The entire bedframe was there in the boxes which I ended up building myself, last time I checked this was Ashely and not Ikea... I was promised I wouldnt have a delivery charge which I was charged standard delivery for, after speaking to customer service with three call attempts from their customer service team being disconnected I got someone who flatly didnt care about the situation and told me I needed to talk to the store being its a franchise and they handle the finance issues. Ive called the store and left a voicemail on three occasions and sent an ema to the sales rep that helped me twice with no response. This has been an outright terrible experience. For this kind of money do not give them your business. Youll be lied to, pushed off for delivery time and again and to top it all off I received a bill in the mail for the furniture I do not even have. These people should be nothing but embarrassed.
We ordered our couch September 5 and we’re told our estimated delivery date would be December 1! I called and spoke with the order status center and was then told my order would not be fulfilled until February 23! My estimated delivery moves by almost 3 months and there is no communication of this by the company until we call as the consumers and inquire ourselves?! We paid almost $3k in full for our order and this is how they conduct themselves: we attempted to call the store we purchased from 14 times over the past 2 days, left a voicemail and an email and no response back from the Westland store! Shame on you! What an unprofessionally ran store 🙄

And from the jump they sold us the wrong peace of furniture in the beginning and they told us we couldn’t return it or get anytype of refund even thoe we told the delivery drivers that it was the wrong peace but they said they couldn’t take it back . So we were forced to get the other half of a couch that we didn’t even want in the first place ( because we didn’t want just a seat sitting in the middle of our living room ) and now we have been waiting on that peace for 3 months and the other one took 4 months . So in total we’ve waited 7 months for furniture
Horrible Horrible Furniture Company! Been waiting for my bed and chairs since JULY! I moved my old bed in anticipation for my delivery TODAY! But after waiting ALL DAY, I decided to call them after no call or show after waiting on hold for another 40 mins... I was given a fourth delivery DATE!!! I paid in cash over two thousand dollars for my items upfront! Stay away from ASHLEY FURNITURE they are not HONEST THEY ARE CROOKS!!!! I wish there was a way for a negative star rating!
Walked in was not greeted by one person. Looking around, as I just purchased the Rawcliffe but it wouldn’t clear my doorway to enter, so I’m looking to repurchase. When I needed help I asked for it, store sales man in a white coat quickly helped me. As soon as he saw an Indian couple walk in he stopped with me to greet them, go over financing options, and then browsed the store with them. I was left with “check this couch out, go look in the back to the right, and the one in the front right there on the left” he’s saying all this as he’s walking away to help this other couple. Needless to say, I won’t be respending my money at this store. I clearly looked to him as though I wasn’t here to purchase or had money, which is fine!
We had a great experience yesterday 12/21/2020 with Alexis @ the Ashley HomeStore in Woodhaven. She was very knowledgeable and super helpful! We were all over the board from walking in looking for a sectional to ending up with a sofa & loveseat set along with a dining room set! Keep up the good work, it was a pleasure! We cant wait to get our new furniture!
Highly disappointed in the delivery or should i say lack of delivery. I have spent 2 hours trying to get a live body on the phone to confirm if my furniture is being delivered today, per email received earlier this week. It was not delivered the first date they provided and now I am questioning today. I am unaware of the time they deliver until and I am stuck waiting instead of doing other planned activities.UpdateI instant messaged with an employee who told me my order is scheduled for delivery September 29th and could not respond to why I have an email stating yesterday. I was also told they will not charge me until my order is delivered.I have already been charged for the furniture.This is horrible customer service and I hope someone calls me to explain asap.
I’m writing a review on google and yelp for the first time and created an account specifically to warn others about my horrible experience here. My husband and I went to the store over 8 weeks ago to buy furniture. We purposely picked Ashley over ArtVan in order to save money. NOT WORTH IT. We were initially told in store our furniture would come within 7-10 days, then 4-6 weeks.After 3 deliveries, countless hours on the phone and sending emails, and two months of waiting, we still don’t have all of our things. Reaching out to store customer service, multiple managers and corporate is pointless. Everyone is pleasant and apologizes, but no one knows what’s going on or actually helps fix the problem. Our dresser “disappeared into thin air” yesterday and we’re now being told we have to wait another 10-14 days for a new one to come. After living out of suitcases for two months and spending almost $4000 in merchandise, the only thing I’ve been offered is an apology, a $100 store gift card and a delivery fee refund.Under no circumstances will I EVER be returning to this store. Literally the worst customer service experience of my life. HIGHLY consider going elsewhere and spending a little extra somewhere else.The only competent employee is the delivery man, who is always pleasant and professional.
What a wonderful store! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful in answering my questions at the Woodhaven location. I ordered a sectional and will be back to furnish the rest of my new home. So many choices and such great quality furniture. I am very impressed with Ashley.
Ordered a sectional and a few tables mid-November 2020. I KNEW orders were behind and so I expected months of waiting.So I called today 12 Feb 2021 to ask how my order looked for the 16 Feb 2021 delivery. Apparently, the tables arent even able to be found so she said she really has no idea what to do about those, They must be on back order I guess. So she predicts that to be closer to April 2021. Based on what? I have no idea.However, I was told my sectional pieces should be coming in their warehouse soon so if I want my sectional, I have to call them within 24-48 hrs of the sofa arriving in their wearhouse so I can try and get.Absolutely horrible. Avoid this store at any cost. Theyre working commission and will tell you anything you need to hear.
We bought furniture from Ashley Furniture thr first week if June! The furniture is not yet delivered to us!!! It is been 2 months! When we call no one answers the phone. We went in store once and they took away our delivery charges with the promise to deliver soon, it is been over 2 weeks, no one has called us yet to give us an update about our furniture! This is ridiculous! I am frustrated and super angry about the customer service!!!! Worst experience ever!!!!
Great service. Professional staff. Buying process was superior to other furniture stores. They let you browse without stalking you like Art Van does.Melanie was a breath of fresh air. She was great explaining at delivery and the warranty procedures. She has a great positive attitude.The entire staff exceed my expectation!
I would literally give no stars, the customer service is horrible! My mother is elderly and ordered new furniture back in June, they gave her a date of delivery for July 1st every time she called they pushed back her delivery date. Keep in mind she paid them in cash. by Early AUGUST she decided to cancel her order so she can a refund, she went to the store to get her money back they told her thet don’t do cash refunds. Here we are September approaching October in a week she still have yet to receive her money back. It makes me so mad these people are taking advantage of my elderly mother that has medical problems 😡😡 and every time I call nobody answers the phone. this place is a scam I will make sure I get in touch with my lawyer about this if this issue is not resolved ASAP.
We ordered a table on 8/12. We’ve received text alerts two times now, taken off work to be there for delivery only to be told that it was an error and our furniture wasn’t even ready for delivery. It’s impossible to talk to anyone regarding delivery, at the location we purchased it from or customer service. You wait on hold for at least 20 minutes before hopefully talking to someone that can help. We are supposedly having our table delivered on 11/7. I’ll believe it when I see it. Will never shop here again.
Frustrated is an understatement. I recommend finding somewhere else to shop for your furniture needs. We waited 6 months just to be told Ashley’s doesn’t deliver to our desired destination, which would have been nice to know before they took our payment. We have yet to hear back from Ashley’s about our regretful experience and are still impatiently waiting for our refund. I have never experienced such terrible customer service.
Honestly some of the worst customer service imaginable. I paid 2k for a table there back in March, it was advertised as immediate delivery available. I paid for it. Get told that it will be 4 weeks for delivery. Tell them thats not even close to immediate and I took their sign down for them. Fastforward to 2 weeks ago, got a text asking for delivery dates, I select one. Just now got an email that gave me a different delivery date than the one I chose. Called customer service and was told that since I replied to their text a couple hours after they sent it that it was considered a late reply and didnt count. I was never notified of this. They tell me the next available date is in yet another 2 weeks. They cant even give me a time that it will be delivered. Asked to speak to a supervisor, was told they will call me back.Honestly this is pathetic. Ive worked in the service industry all my life, I really dont know how this business could possibly remain open with this service. Ill never step foot in an ashleys store again.
Worst experience ever. We ordered bedroom furniture over the phone from this store. The issues arose after our delivery got canceled multiple times without notice. Finally when the order came, the delivery guys half assembled it, and said they “forgot a part and would be back in 45 mins.” When we called the store 7 hours later and after waiting on hold for 1 hour, they said they don’t know what happened. Apparently in their records, all the parts were together. They said they had no phone number or any way to contact their delivery guys as they are a third party. They said it might take an additional 4 days before they come back, which I’m highly doubting at this point (I’d be surprised if they came back at all). So basically the delivery guys just walked out on us, left my furniture half completed, probably with the intention of never returning, with no way to contact them. So frustrated right now. I’d definitely suggest buying from somewhere else!
Well, what can I say about this place!!!! I literally walked in with the intention to just look and price my very first couch. I was assisted by Brittany C. who was exceptionally amazing with her customer service skills and knowledge about the furniture. She walked around with me while giving me very detailed specifics about each piece which caught my eye. For me, this was a new experience that I had no knowledge of how to handle. She was very careful and clear on explaining the process and helping me get the best deals and offers possible. Needless to say, I walked out of the store on that same day with a brand new affordable furniture set and having experienced great customer service and meeting some wonderful people!!!!Thank You, Team WestLand!!!andThank You Brittany C!!!
I brought furniture in June, the store informed me that it would be delivered in July as I would be hosting an event. July comes, no word on the furniture. I call, they hang up on me 3 times after being on hold for 45 minutes plus each time. I finally get through, they tell me the furniture will be delivered at the end of August. August comes, again no word. I go up to the store, they schedule my delivery and ensure me the furniture will be here 5Sept2020. I get a call to confirm delivery. On the 5th only half of my delivery comes. The delivery men tell me they dont work for Ashleys and this is all they have. I call, they tell me the other half will be here on the 17th. The 17th comes, no word. I call, they hang up on me only once this time. Then when the phone is answered tell me they didnt mean to answer it and place me on hold again, to tell me my furniture is all ready but its in the warehouse. I understand that things are backed up at this time, but a simple call would be nice. I had to change locations of an event at the last minute. Rush the construction of my bathroom only to still have no furniture 2 +months later. No one apologized of offered anything for the inconvenience to me and my family. Never again.
I brought a bed frame in May and it took month for me to get all the frame. I got headboard, footboard and one side of the frame within a week but unprofessional thing about it was out a text message at 2pm that didnt have any dates so I had to call up to the store and the store closed at 5PM to find out it was current day to pick up the frame. I called several times and been hung up on every time I called.I got put on hold for 20 minutes when I finally got someone then every person I talked to had said a week. I called back every week and I went through the same thing. Finally I got someone that did go through with giving my other side of bedframe and I didnt receive no call or text messages saying that I could pick it up until I actually called again.
Can’t fulfill my furniture order and can’t fulfill my refund. Only thing they are good at is charging a credit card and pushing their boarder line scam protection plan. You’re better off sleeping on the floor than purchasing from “America’s number one mattress store.” Also why does their sales manager wear a lab coat like my 6 year old doing his kiwi co science boxes.
We purchased a sectional on August 2nd, we payed full price and we knew delivery would be awhile under the circumstances. We were told November 4th. We also weren’t sure about adding an armless chair to the couch if it would fit in our room. So we were told to contact our salesperson who gave us his direct contact information to cancel it. We cancelled it August 5th and have YET to be refunded. I reached out to the salesmen to give us updates on delivery and NOTHING. So I called the main number today and was told the armless chair had not been cancelled and that our delivery date is now December 23rd!!!!! To say I’m upset with the transparency of this company is an understatement, The lady on the phone told us to go into the store because you can’t get through to the actual store anyways. That’s a whole other problem!
I wasnt sure what I wanted but knew immediately when I saw it. Braulio was awesome and patient. Helped me find everything I wanted from their awesome stock. I was approved for credit and he worked out the totals 2 ways to give me options to fit my life. It was an amazing experience.
Ahmed was excellent! No pressure like normal furniture store experiences. He allowed us time to walk and talk alone and think to make best decisions. He was very knowledgeable about the products and offered all the extras but didn’t make u feel like the world was coming to an end if u didn’t buy them. We actually brought them just because of this. We look forward to working with him again. As long as the delivery goes well. We will definitely be back to work with him. Way to go. U made our shopping experience painless and fun! Btw selection of furniture was great 👍
I was absolutely impressed with the quality & the quantity at this location to choose from. Not only that, two sales associates, Nick & Amy, went above & beyond with being supportive & helpful.It took us more than a week to decide and several visits to this location & a competitors store. During several visits, we took in carpet samples, borrowed a couch pillow, and even took our kids here to sit on it, Lol. We REALLY were undecided.However, because of the friendliness of Nick & Amy, along with their suggestions and support, we decided to purchase from here, rather than the other store, even tho the cost was a just slightly higher.The quality of the furniture & the treatment from the quality of them as people, was worth every penny.Were truly thankful to have been able to work with them & look forward to future purchases here when we remodel other rooms.Thanks SO much!!
We were incredibly unhappy with our experience with this store. We drove over an hour to this location to try out a sofa and chose to purchase it. Our soonest delivery date was 2 weeks later. We accepted, and waited for our purchase. Turns out, our salesperson John ordered the wrong color so we had to refuse and wait another two weeks for the correct sofa to be delivered. We had no furniture in the meantime since this was a new home. We also had a terrible experience with Ashley customer service, who told us we were basically out of luck, they would not allow us to accept the wrong color and await the exchange. The delivery person told us this happens all the time. I will never purchase from Ashley again, especially from this location. Beware that you may have to wait over a month to receive your purchase.
We purchased our new Mattress and bedroom set from Ahmed. He was friendly, polite, welcoming, and made us feel like family. He made sure that we were able to take the time that we needed to make the perfect selection. It was hard to believe that he said he was a fairly new employee to Ashley’s , his professional demeanor yet equal balance of customer service is impeccable. We will definitely be back for our next purchase!
Terrible experience. Bought two couches. Stated from the get go was moving to the westside of the state and the address was going to need to be changed. Took 6 phone calls (which youll be on hold minium 20 minutes each time) to change address. 3 different delivery dates were cancelled. Then after 8 phone calls they then said were out of delivery range. They knew all this information from the very beginning where they would have to ship too. After multiple frustrations we are now just sitting here for over a month for a refund which puts my money on hold now and no couches
Id like to give them negative stars.They stole 1,200.00 from us.We paid in full for a table and were told 10 days near the END of the sale.Its been a month now and theyre telling us it wont be in for another two weeks.Were certain thats a lie too and want a refund.Their customer service center told us to wait 48 hours and the refund doesnt happen, to go to the store.I can see from some of these reviews that this is a recurring problem.Why dont you just explain to your customers that theres a three to six month waiting period to receive the merchandise theyre about to purchase before you sell it to them?Because no one would shop there, thats why.And they shouldnt.
Ordered couch and loveseat. Spent over 2000$. Delivery guys couldnt find the power cord that feeds the usb outlet inside the center console of loveseat. Told me to call Ashley to have them send one. Spent hours trying to call before I got through. Explained exactly which cord I needed. They sent me wrong one. Called again, sent wrong one again.So I gave up. So now I have a 2000 dollar set of incomplete furniture. Will go elsewhere next time
I never bought furniture from Ashley before, but my experience with them and this store specifically makes it the last and I advise everyone not to get fooled and avoid buying from them.I ordered a living room and 2 bedrooms after they convinced me about their service and speedy delivery. It has been 3 months now and I got about 5 delivery appointments. Every time they tell me final and I discover they were tentative times and nothing being delivered Without even calling me to update. At the end and after fights they sent me 2 beds and adding to all, the beds are defective and they had to take back the rails and legs to exchange, telling me to expect a call in 24-48 hrs to send the proper pieces. Now it’s a week already and no one calls and I can’t reach anyone. Every time they refer me to guest relations and no one answers. I call the Westland store I bought from and they don’t even want to check for me and saying it’s not their responsibility to deliver or even check what happened with the beds. The manager didn’t even want to talk to me.After that I discovered that couple of my friends had near similar experience and they don’t deal with Ashley anymore and I wish I knew that before making that order. I decided to share my experience so every future buyer knows what to expect if they already decided to buy.
I purchased a headboard/footboard/ rails from the store and I took a while to put the bed together due to work schedule. I discovered that the pieces were missing. I called the lady put me on hold for 45 min and hung up. I called back the lady was non caring and paid me very little respect. Now I am going into the store to find out what happened to the bed or I expect a complete refund. I will never shop here again at all.
Had a very good experience at the Woodhaven store. Jessica was very knowledgeable on the furniture we were looking at. She wasn’t pushy on which set to get. She didn’t make us feel pressured on a decision. Definitely recommend Ashley Furniture. It was great experience and the quality of furniture surprised us.
Terrible customer service! When you buy a product you are stuck with it. They will not return, exchange, or even care for your purchase. Be very certain with the items you purchase because their customer service and their policy is ridiculous. I purchased a couch and it broke TWICE and they fixed it TWICE and now that we are on the third issue they decide to no longer help me or care to guide me with next steps. They also do not call back nor email back when you are in need of help. I wish I was able to give this NO stars.
Buying experience was great, after you walk out of the store that experience is over. I spend 3 separate days on hold for over an hour and a half day. Never did talk with anyone. Drive to the store to see if my delivery is coming on time or what. Stood there forever waiting for some help, one lady working and everyone else standing around saying they can’t help us. How about train your sales ppl to help out when they are not doing anything but playing on their phones. Common man what kinda business is this. Jay, you were great to work with on the sale, but they gotta get the customer service going and y’all would be top notch. Why work so hard in one dept and have the other dam near non existent.
The sales staff is so helpful and honest. No one was pushy or over selling the products. Where they fall short is the end process. Delivery is spotty and they will constantly try to reschedule. The furniture delivered on 2 seperate occasions was damaged or improperly manufactured. Very hard to contact anyone and get results. Customer service is very poor. Everyone is extremely nice however conversations do not yield results. My hard wood floors were damaged I the delivery process as well. Will never shop at this furniture store again
Second big purchase from Ashley. Not the most affordable furniture store compared to others, but you see that in the quality of the items available. Definitely will return for more acquisitions. Visited the Woodhaven store, great staff and wont pressure you into buying something that you dont want.
Very friendly staff till you figure out that you have been lied to. We purchased living room furniture over the memorial day weekend with the expectation that the furniture will be delivered by Jun 3rd week. The sales manager even calls us a couple of days after we made the purchase to confirm delivery on Jun 19 since we had a condition at the time of purchase that if they cannot deliver within that time frame we would cancel the order. Great job by the sales manager to follow through and secure the order (and likely the commission). And then comes Jun 19 and for us to call them and discover that they cannot deliver it till July 7. And obviously the sales manager who promised the delivery of Jun 19 is not working to either confirm or deny that this commitment was ever made. One its not clear why they would lie to your face to secure an order, and two - why would it take 6 weeks for some furniture to be delivered. Worse - when I check their website for the same furniture its about $100 cheaper now than their best memorial day deal when we bought it. Oh yes, the store manager gets on the phone with you after being asked for a couple of times and says he can check for options and doesnt even really apologize for this failure of their staff. He makes sure someone else calls back 5 hrs later to say that they can deliver a damaged piece and they can compensate on our payment, really - thats how you acknowledge this entire episode and the fact that your customers are compensated for the time and their patronage? Great customer obsession and empathy. This was my first purchase from the store and will likely be the last from this brand and most definitely from this store.
Final update: Ashley furniture misrepresents their warranties and protection plans. I’d caution anybody who does business with this company as 1) the furniture is poor quality and 2) the warranty and extended warranties don’t cover defects or the overall poor quality craftsmen ship of the furniture. If anyone else is having issues, I’d recommend filing a complaint with the BBB and possibly the FTC, though it’s difficult to file a complaint through my the FTC. This is a subpar business who sells poor quality furniture and misrepresents warranties.First update: Sales person was very nice. We bought a bed frame, which was very nice and stable but I’d caution anyone from buying couches or chairs from them. The quality is very poor and after 6 months they are falling apart.2nd update: Additional follow up: company has been silent on fixing my repairs (under warranty). Changing this from a 2 to 1 star review due to lack of customer service and quality of all furniture.3rd update: To the owner who commented below...please don’t leave a hollow comment to try and save face...rather follow up with your customers who continually reach out for support.
This place should get no stars at all. Yes the in store was great. But to get the things you order is a joke. Order a couch and mattress set back in may. Was good with the frist set of delivery date. Now on my 5th set of possible dates of reseveing my order and saying the my couch will not be here tell November...
I had a very polarizing experience when shopping at Ashley for furniture for my daughters bedroom. As a consumer who has always purchased furniture at Art Van, we went to Ashley as first-time customers after being underwhelmed with the selection of girls bedroom sets at Art Van, and purchased a set at Ashleys Westland location. The sales associate we worked with was excellent, knowledgable and answered all of our questions. After this, however, things went south fast.We scheduled delivery for about 3 weeks after our purchase date so we would have adequate time to prep the bedroom. Then, 2 days before we were scheduled to take delivery, I received a call informing me that it had been rescheduled for a day 2 weeks later because the furniture wasnt ready yet. Mind you, this was 2 days before we were ready to take delivery (and about 3 weeks after placing the order - why wasnt it ready?!) - I had already arranged my schedule and took time off work to be at the house for the delivery. I called, and they were able to bump up the new delivery, which was nice. They also verbally guaranteed that our items would be ready to be shipped by this new date. Fast forward to 2 days before our new delivery date: I called the store to make sure everything was still good to go, only to be informed that they had rescheduled us again! At this point I wasnt sure what was more baffling - a clearly inept logistics system theyre using or the fact that I was the one who had to contact them to even learn about this new delivery date. Getting a hold of someone to help you is a chore in and of itself. Call the store you purchased the stuff at and youre routed to the national customer service center. And then you get the run-around with whomever you speak with. Above all, the representatives didnt seem to think these delays were a big deal and didnt really do much to apologize or even understand why this would be frustrating. I got a hold of the Westland store where I made the purchase and asked to speak with the manager several times, but was told he was too busy and would call me back. I never received a call back from him. In the end, Ashley did wind up crediting us for the inconvenience, which I appreciate. But when I buy furniture, Im looking to get it when they say its going to arrive. I would have much rather have had the furniture on time than have received a price reduction on the items.Ill cap this review by saying that the delivery guys were awesome. They were really friendly and courteous.All in all, we had great front and back end experiences with Ashley, it was everything that happened in the middle that will have us going back to Art Van as our go-to furniture store. The two stars are for the sales associate who helped us and for the delivery guys. The ridiculous delivery rescheduling, lack of empathy and unprofessionalism of the store manager, unfortunately, outweigh the positives.
The furniture is gorgeous and reasonably priced. I was expecting my delivery at the end of October...However, when I didn’t hear from anyone, I called and I was told my order was now backordered to next year. Why don’t they let you know when they’re going to miss the anticipated timing they promised you? Then nobody answers the phone when you call the store, I have been trying to get ahold of someone there for weeks with no luck.
I had the best shopping experience in a long time. Ahmed the sales manager what a guy!! He’s amaZing at what he does. So knowledgeable, so caring, so understanding, so professional, so funny, I am so glad I made this stop today. I wasn’t planning On buying anything today but Ahmed gave me such a wonderful experience and I could not leave without buying. Great store, amazing furniture and exceptional service. If you want the best deals go and ask for Ahmed he will go above and beyond. I actually offered him a job that’s how much I was impressed today. Ask for Ahmed he will satisfy your needs. 👍👍
We purchased a sectional from Ashley Furniture in January, that experience was great. Then in late June I noticed a problem with the construction of the sectional. I called Ashley Furniture and explained my concern to the Priscilla . She told me to email a picture of the sectional where the problem was. I did and never heard again from her. So I emailed her again and called, she said I will get back to you, she never did so I went into the store and one of the associates scheduled a service repair for me. That person came out and determined they could not fix the issue and suggested Ashley Furniture replace the sectional, that happened in August and I did not get a replacement until October 3. I had to call to get any help through this whole process of waiting and also go into the store to get any answers. Scott the store manager said he would take care of this when I went into the store in September and I never heard from him again. At one point after calling the store again after not hearing from Scott, I was told that my Furniture would be in on this date (can’t remember the exact date but it was sometime in September) It never came in. I was also told that Ashley Furniture was being bought by another company and that was having an affect on my situation. Really??? Shouldn’t a company make sure their customers are taken care of no matter what, even in the midst of being bought, it’s called customer service. The only person there who tried to help was Melanie It has been a frustrating experience with them and no compensation for my time and frustration, nothing!!!!! I will never shop there again.
The prices in this place were amazing! When you walk in everything is so elegant, that you would expect the prices to be more expensive than Art Van, but its quite the opposite! They are so affordable, but the quality does not suffer for it. I HAD to ask the salesperson I was working with how they are able to do it, which is when they told me that they make all the furniture themselves when you order it. That makes me feel so much better about paying for brand new furniture for my new home.Too long, didnt read: The prices are AMAZINGLY affordable, the furniture is of great quality, and they make it all themselves when you order it! So, why wouldnt you get your furniture from Ashley?
The gals there are super friendly & helpful. Jessica took care of us during the browsing phase and Alyssa helped us in the ordering phase. They were so personal and took care of us from A-Z. One delay after another delay. If you get a text saying to schedule an appointment for delivery, dont believe it. Were on our 3rd go around (on text messages) and my order keeps getting pushed back. My advise, keep calling the 800 number. Or better yet, go somewhere else.
Jay provided us with excellent customer service. This is especially important for me because excellent customer service seems to be a thing of the past. He went over an beyond to make sure my husband and I were completely satisfied! I definitely recommend Jay as a salesperson at Ashley Furniture in Westland for all your furniture needs!
I had a great experience with my sales manager, Ahmed Maged! Hes the man! He was very helpful, kind, and patient with me, even with all my questions, in person and over the phone. I explained to him what I needed and also the price range, as well. He was able to help me decide and pick the best furniture suited for me, including my warranty. I stopped by with my fiancé today looking for some ideas to furnish our new home. I was greeted at the door by Ahmed. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the furniture unfortunately we couldn’t buy anything today because we’re closing on our home in 2 weeks. But Ahmed offered a layaway to lock In the great promotion and booked us an appointment in 2 weeks. He made sure we didn’t miss out on those amazing deals and offered us full protection. I will recommend this store and Ahmed to all my friends and family. And make sure to ask for Ahmed he’s amazing he won’t disappoint.
I was at the Ashley Store in Woodhaven, Michigan. I was greeted at the door by Paul C. he stayed with me thru the sale..I purchased the Prentice Bedroom set & Sealy Mattress...Paul was very knowledgeable & answered all my questions & gave his opinions which were so helpfull..I Also bought a Recliner couch & chair...I was more than happy to get Free Delivery & 25% off my purchase....Michele was also Available with her Interior Design expertise...I have been to many Furniture Stores in the last couple weeks & I have been very disappointed with the service or should I say lack of...It was a pleasure to deal with Ashleys Paul & Michele...Thank You & Im sooo Excited ...Cant wait to get all my New Ashley Furniture❣
I agree with all the negative reviews here. Luckily I walked out before I bought anything.The price kept changing as did the information. I went to Mattress Firm and got a much better deal plus their delivery charge was 100 dollars less. I recommend them highly if you are looking for a mattress. I would not do business here. Lesson learned.

She welcomed my son and I with warm professional greeting and a smile you could see through her mask.The store was busy, everyone had questions, and some customers were even being rude. Alison W. handled every customer with kindness, respect, and grace. She gave me time to find exactly what I was looking for, assured me she would be right back to to assist me asap, and did just that. She sat down explained the the entire process in detail and even had a few laughs with my son.The items I picked were not scheduled to arrive for 2 1/2 weeks ..... It was delivered to my door in 7days. The delivery men were professional and courteous. . 2022-04-05I was reluctant to make a purchase from here because of all of the bad reviews. In my case somehow things just worked out I suppose. I placed the order online after viewing the item in the store. (Maybe online is the better way to go 🤷♀️). I was made aware the couch I ordered was on back order and that it would take a few months to receive it. They placed a hold on my card for the amount of the purchase until the couch actually arrived and then processed the payment once I received it. The couch was in stock and delivered in the time they stated. And the delivery people communicated well about when the couch would be delivered. It actually arrived about 20 min early. So far the quality of the couch is exceptional. I have a rambunctious 11 year old son and a 100lb black lab. We eat on the couch, sleep on the couch, it has a very good quality memory foam, and is is really comfortable. So far it is holding up to all the use really well.

2022-06-24My experience was wonderful. My salesperson, (Bob), couldnt have been nicer. He went out of his way to see that my purchase went perfectly. And he did it with smile. Outstanding sales person. This is rare today in retailing,The 2 young women at the front desk, again, couldnt have been nicer. They were a treasure. They both treated me like they appreciated my business. We even had a few laughs together. Very special people, theyare a real asset to the store.My only issue was with the store Manage. I was introduce to her and she hardly looked up to greet me, she never even cracked smiled. She just had this sour look on her face. She gave me the impression that she didnt care to meet me, or that I was even there. This somewhat disturbed me. And it takes a lot to disturb me. If shes not happy with her job, my suggestion is that she should look for a job elsewhere where she can miserable andand make everyone miserable right along with her.Bob should be the manager. With his personality, he could change the whole atmosphere of the store in no time.

2022-05-27Do not waste your money on their furniture. It is poorly made. The sofa we purchased was delivered and was missing a couple of legs. We contacted the store immediately and was advised that they would order them. Don’t waste your money on fabric protection. We ordered and it was never registered. We have made numerous calls to the store, stopped in several times and they could not find any info. The fabric protection company would not respond to our calls. Horrible customer service! On top of that the fabric is pilling and looks terrible. Still no legs. It’s been over a year.To add insult to this purchase, we filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau. An Ashley rep had the nerve to say we waited too long. The warranty is no longer effective. Save yourself money and grief. Avoid them at all costs!

2022-06-25Ashley furniture cheap. I bought a $3000 bedroom set, dresser, chest. Bed rail broke after a year. Defective. Ashley did not stand by quality they promote. Had to buy a new rail and have to install myself.I had to call their customer service department to order the part which took 45 minutes on the phone and three representatives to accomplish. Then they told me I had to drive to the Ashley showroom to pay for the part. The show room staff had no idea how to create a parts invoice. Ugh! No one knows when I should expect the part. I must say that is the first time I was ever in a furniture store to buy a part and not furniture. lolBad experience. Will never go back.

2022-04-24Before I write this I just want to make it known that I am not one to post reviews or give a negative rating to a business.When I went to Ashley I knew exactly what dining table I wanted. I was approached by a worker, he gave me the price, and I told him I wanted it. I asked him how long it would be before I can pick up my table. He said 3-4 weeks. I purchased my table in January … it is now the end of April.The time it took is not what got me to go on here and write this review. For the past few weeks now I’ve been calling Ashley’s to check the status of my table and each time I call they tell me “it should be here tomorrow”. It has become extremely frustrating to hear the same response every time. I understand that furniture is taking a lot longer than usual to arrive but it’s ridiculous at this point. I paid almost $2000 for this table and keep getting the run around.

2022-06-28My fiance and I bought a couch from here. We paid extra for their Red Carpet Delivery. When we purchased the couch we were told it would be delivered at a certain day. Two weeks later they actually contacted us to set up delivery. When they finally delivered the couch they broke a decorative planter I had in my front yard. During delivery the guy told us that there was a piece missing and that our couch wouldnt connect together. After my fiance confirmed that that was what we ordered they set it up and left. That night we quickly realized that they sold us two pieces of a sectional that didnt actually fit together so now our couch is constantly sliding apart anytime we sit on it. I dont recommend anything about this company.

2022-07-19Had the worst experience with Ashley Furniture. Sales and the actual store is fine but the customer service is ridiculous. Ordered a bedroom set, not one but both dressers came damaged. One dress has a hole in the back and in the bottom. The other dresser had two drawers that didnt open and had damage to the front. Put in an exchange for both and only had one to be replaced. Finally the second dresser comes, and its damaged, AGAIN! A giant hole in the back, I did not even allow it come in my house. Spent over 30 mins in silence with the customer service representative, waiting to speak to the manager. They only gave me 10% of the item since I am not returning the whole bedroom set. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ASHLEY FURNITURE AGAIN! What a joke of a company.
