Amazing hotel and staff for our wedding. Wedding coordinators Liz and Gina were wonderful to work with and handled every detail and question. Rooms were beautiful. Entire staff from front desk to shuttle to bartenders and housekeeping were the nicest people . All my guests commented on it. Congratulations on hiring the best of the best. We would highly recommend this Marriott hotel to anyone for an amazing experience. 10 plus stars !!!
I had a great stay for business at the Pontiac Marriott. The front desk people were super kind and helpful. Joey Smith, the GM, was accommodating and friendly. He and Amanda at the restaurant were the best! They took such good care of our large(and a little rowdy) group. I was super impressed. I would go back again and again just based off of their hospitality and friendship. The restaurant/bar was delicious and lively. Breakfast was great. Beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. Thanks guys!
The bed sheets had stains on them and were wrinkled, it looked like they hadnt been changed from the previous guests. The glass shower door had spots all over it and there was hair in the drain. The bathroom floor was dirty and we were given 2 bottles of lotion and a bottle of conditioner but no shampoo. We paid a lot of money for our room and it at least could of been clean!!
Nice location for the event we were attending. Buffett breakfast in morning had a nice variety of items, hot food wasn’t real hot. Wait staff was very attentive. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, had an adjoining room, so we heard all the conversations of the people next to us. Check billing before you leave we were charged to the wrong room and charged 5x for our 2 night stay. The accounting staff fixed the issue.
Aside from the nice workout facilities, this hotel was very mediocre. No microwave in the room....I had to carry my food to the main lobby and warm it up in the ONE shared microwave. The main lobby was constantly being sprayed by some horrible scented pollutant. The walls/doors were NOT sound proof. And lastly, the room had some maintenance issues that needed to be addressed.
The beds were hard as a rock for 250 dollars a night you should have beds that are comfortable. The pool was 30 degrees not heated then you had a worker there who was sitting there on her phone giving us dirty looks. The hotel itself was nice breakfast was meh charged almost 20 dollars for a bland selection where you can get at any hotel for free. Go to Drury Inn located at Troy much cheaper there and you get free dinner, drinks, and snacks!
Had to book last minute and so glad I did. Marriott is always good and this location was no exception. Staff was very pleasant, the room was cozy and clean. And I like that they still offer the buffet but the staff fixes your plate for you. Great way to keep things clean and safe. Highly this location.
Had a good stay minus the scent being used in lobby and main area. It was very overpowering. Was a little extreme with someone with allergies. It caused me to have headaches. As soon as I went to room the headaches would alleviate. Once I left the building within 15 minutes the headache was completely gone. This was the only issue I had. The staff was very friendly and cooperative. The breakfast buffet was a nice spread. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal with many different toppings, cereal, and fresh fruits. They had a few other options also. Was a little pricey but it is a hotel. Bar was very well stocked and had lots of options to choose from. Pools, indoor and outdoor, were really nicely kept. Would stay again as long as no strong scent in lobby area.
I recently stayed at this property for an Irish Dance competition event. I had stayed two years ago and liked the property . My room was very spacious snd squeaky clean. The breakfast was very good in the morning . I do, however, think you need to examine the policy for outside food. If the restaurant is closed, it seems ridiculous to say I was not permitted to buy a drink at the bar snd then sit outside to eat the food I had purchased elsewhere. I was told I couldnt sit there or at a table but had to move into the lobby. I can see this when the restaurant is open but it seems silly when it really is closed . Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.
First, I get it that somebody has to get this room. But using our Marriott points and THEN getting stuck in the room that was right across from the elevators AND next to the ice machine? Did I kill someone in a past life? Loud talking after 10, people walking up and down the halls playing music like theyd never been in a hotel before. I have been to a different brand hotel where there was a very classy sign on an easel by the elevators saying in effect, loud talking, noisy patrons, running in the halls would not be tolerated and will be cause for ejection from the hotel. Not trying to be the behavior police, but I think people need a gentle reminder now and then. Just a thought. VERY disappointed in Marriott. I expected better than this. Saving grace was the shower. I know, really? Great big waterfall head with a hand sprayer. Soo nice. Great pressure. Heated up quick. Sometimes thats what you need.
Weve been staying at the Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac for the last 6 or 7 years during the Woodward Dream Cruise & have never had any issues or complaints. Everything is top notch, the lobby, the bar & lounge area, the front desk & staff. The rooms are super comfortable, clean & spacious. Its been the perfect spot for us in August!
This was a business trip and we were working from the hotel. Internet was a nightmare. HD to spend 30-40 mins each day connecting to the intervener through the “customer service” number located in another country speaking to someone I barely understood. Front desk workers were NOT helpful. The room smelled like cigarettes,.!the bathroom shower needs to be recaulked. All around Below average and they ended up charging my credit card 14.95 a day for internet that supposed to be included with the UWM group rate!
So much better than the Courtyard across the street. Very grand entrance/lobby area with the classic Marriott fragrance. I didn’t spend time at the bar but other guests I was with did and enjoyed it. The hallways and rooms are all recently updated and modern. The room was very nice, clean, upkept. The bathroom and shower was lovely, and the beds were great too. A later checkout time of noon is always a perk! I would recommend this hotel if you are in the Birmingham/Auburn Hills/Pontiac area.
Facility looked a little worn. Carpets looked dated and not very clean. Trash, drink cans, were left by the elevators on floor 2 for at least a day before removal. Bathroom sink drain in room 221 drained very slowly, probably clogged. Housekeeping was upon request, but when requested, our room was not serviced. It was the next day we requested. It took my wife and I over an hour to get served at 8pm on a Tuesday evening. We had to approach our server several times to check on our order. She did not once come to our table to check on us. Waitresses seemed more interested in socializing than serving customers. No strong management presence obvious in Woodwards. Overall, property appeared to cater to in and out business clientele.
My husband and I were checked into three different room all three were dirty. The door was dirty, the floor was not vacuumed, the furniture was not dusted, the refrigerator was not clean, the bathroom was not clean there was hair in the shower and also all over the ceiling. There was also old coffee that had been spilled and not cleaned up. The proper bedding was not used there was a king fitted sheet on a queen bed. I was not compensated for my stay for the inconvenience. Highly dissatisfied with my stay at the Marriott.
Just not a good hotel unless perhaps you need use of one of their convention rooms. The beds were great, thats about all I can say. All night long from my room I could hear the elevator bank moving and clunking into place obnoxiously through the wall with my head on the pillow, didnt get a wink of sleep. Paid for the M Club just on a silly whim and after 2 tries having the staff reload my keycard to be able to get in all I got for my 80 extra bucks was an empty room, a tiny bottle of water, and some chips. The pool is just a grungy unheated pool which is useless this time of year, no heated pool, no hot tub, no sauna. Though you can see a tiled off square where a hot tub likely used to be, so you can stare longingly at that. Ive been to hotels for half the price with twice the amenities, do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.
Well what can I say nice about this place? The staff was very polite. Now lets get down to business. What I didnt like about this place was the fact that I stayed there for a week and there was no microwave in the rooms. You had to go down to the main lobby and heat your food up. By the time you got back to your room your food was cold again. Now I understand that with covid-19 that the cleaning staff was very limited to what they do, but come on, a week staying there and they couldnt come in and change the sheets on the bed... I mean come on, I paid good money and for what? For two people in a room, they couldnt even give you enough towels. And if you wanted to drink more than one cup of coffee your gonna have to ask for more cups. Oh yea and there was no water cups in the room. You might want to buy or bring your own cups if you want some other form of drinks.
Hello,I was very disappointed with my stay. Nothing really bothered me until the morning. The bathroom was a mess and there were insects in with the coffee. Hair which isnt mine still in a shower, a dirty toilet, dead fly in with coffee, and a shower head away from the wall with cobwebs. Also, all over the walls by the toilet was not cleaned.
The hotel room was clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff helped to check us in and even gave us a toothbrush. I assumed a nice hotel would have a complimentary breakfast, but apparently I was incorrect. After we got our food a staff member asked us if we had a breakfast voucher, which we didn’t know we needed. We got the bill back and found it was $17 per meal (before drinks)! We served ourselves glorified summer camp food (powdered eggs, biscuits and gravy) and I paid more than I do at many fancy restaurants. If you want a better breakfast for cheaper, I’d recommend running over to “First Watch.” But overall the stay was great, I just had a pretty shocking and disappointing breakfast 😕.
Stayed over three days, and the smiling associates here were some of the best people we have encountered. From the four desk clerks to the bartenders and breakfast server! Thank You!The hotel is a definite three star. Layout, flow, beds, pillows, no vents in restroom, etc... Looks like they do more quick events there than wanting to be a flowing hotel. If not paid attention this hotel will struggle to achieve a higher score and it isnt because of the current staff. Bottom line: Good experience, great staff, I wish the best for this hotel. Hope the slow decline of this asset will be paid attention to in the future.
Having been a frequent guest at this hotel, the rate increased over $100 per night. The bed was comfortable however the amenities such as no glasses in the room, filthy remote control, tiny styrofoam cups and only decaf coffee in the room. Other hotels that charge $230-$275 a night additionally offer microwaves in the room. Nice looking hotel however it is overpriced.
We were in town for a family wedding. Front desk attendant Carley was AMAZING and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. She was so helpful she deserves 10 stars! The rest of the staff was great and very helpful as well. Overall highly recommend and the hotel was very clean and felt very safe with COVID protocols.
The staff and venue was incredible. It was everything I couldve imagined for getting married in a pandemic. The only thing that couldve been better was the room cleanliness of the suite. There was dust on surfaces and there was some trash left by the bed on the carpet from a previous guest. However, Gina and Ari did a fantastic job and made our special day one truly to remember.
Okay , this not even the first incident. I was at this hotel for 2 nights and was switched to 3 different rooms. First room the bathroom toilet flooded so bad the stuff that was on the closet got wet and everything. Switched us to a new room and we found a MOLDED apple 🤮 so they switched us to the third room and between last night and this morning they charged my card 10 times for $100They GENERAL MANAGER was rude asl! They housekeepers are obviously NOT doing their job! -10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND .
Our sheets were dirty and they didn’t remake the bed. They handed us the sheets. We remade to the bed to find stains on the mattress pad. We then had to move rooms because they didn’t know when they would be able to fix the beds. We moved 3 kids at 10:30 at night. Pool towels were out and. It Covid conscious at all.
We called ahead to secure early check in and we’re told it was not a problem. When we arrived, they said we couldn’t check in. So we sat around the lobby. Room AC didn’t work at all. Elevators were so loud that it sounded like a freight train in the room all night long.
Just completed a 5 day stay when my son was getting married. Staff at this hotel are outstanding. They are well trained and appear to truly enjoy their work. Wedding guests had over 40 rooms and I did not hear a single complaint from them. We had a welcoming social in the lobby bar on Friday night attended by close to 100 people, service was fast and efficient. Room was good sized, modern and clean. First hotel I have been in this year that had good lighting in the bathroom and plenty of counter space. Comfortable bed, big TV and quiet for when you are ready to sleep. End result is that over the 5 days, no issues, no problems, seamless and unobtrusive service from the staff...this is why you choose Marriott.
You could tell that you do not have enough help. We had no housekeeping service on day 2 of our stay. We had to call to have our towels be picked up and get new towels for the next day. Our roll- in shower flooded the bathroom and only the handheld device worked. We had no coffee maker in the room even though we had supplies to make coffee. We had no spare rolls of toilet paper and to call for that.
My family and I visited the other night from out of town. Everything was fine until the last 20min of our stay.. we called the front desk letting them know we were running a few minutes behind around 11am. They said it was fine no worries, check out was at noon, we asked to have a extra 30min.. Around 12:05 we get a knock at the door from housekeeping, we told her we got an extended checkout we will be leaving momentarily. The housekeeper said she didn’t care about an extended check out and we need to leave, she said we have 10 min to get out.. then as she walks away we hear her screaming in the hallway “I don’t care about no extended check out, they can go downstairs and get another room”, along with some other rude comments shouting down the hallway. We were in disbelief on what happened, upset, and quickly gathered our stuff and went toward the elevator. My boyfriend heard the housekeepers in the other hallway and approached them, he apologized and tried to explain to her that we confirmed with front desk for a later check out, and we don’t know where the disconnect was, but we didn’t appreciate how rude and disrespectful she was to us, especially in front of our 5 yr old son. She continued to argue with him and didn’t seem to understand what she did wrong….She works in hospitality- who does that?!? Who talks to a paying customer like that! We don’t complain ever! We are always understanding. And very easy going, open minded people. Both of us came from working in hospitality, we have stayed at many hotels- never have we ever witnessed such ignorant rudeness. I’ve also never felt so unwelcome in a hotel before. And this hotel isn’t cheap! My BF went to the front desk to ask for a manager but he was no where to be found. He was told Steve the manager would call him back.. never got a call. We called back about 6hrs later. Steve did apologize for what had happened and was understanding. But we will never go there again, we will stick to Hilton’s moving forward. Also, the window in the room was leaking water inside our room, like lots of water- hopefully they fix that.
This hotel is absolutely beautiful!!! The beds are the most comfortable beds Ive ever slept in!!! The staff is very nice and very quickly bring up any requests you have. The pool was very nice and warm. The bathroom was very nice as well, very clean! This was a girls weekend trip and it was a blast!!! Highly recommend this hotel!!! We will be making more trips to this hotel!! ☺☺
Day 1 of 4 and it isnt looking good.1st off Bonvoy doesnt mean anything here. They have a seperate desk but if you get in that line theyll still take other customers before you.Second & 3rdThe shower in my first room was dirty and the room they moved me to smelled funny and had rose pedals and leaves from an earlier guest still on the floor. If there were A LOT of rose pedals like I was a King just arrived I would be flattered.. But alas its just trash not cleaned up between guests. I do t get the clean less during Covid thing that goes on at Hotels.. Not just this one.Pictures of 2nd room attached, Ill spare you the pictures of the sticky ooze wall and collection of assorted hairs in the 1st shower.Maybe I should post a local craigslist add for a housekeeper and see if other guests would go in on the tips and wages?
Beautiful hotel. Helpful staff. Lively bar/ dining area. Incredible comfort and decor in the room. Grateful for the 2 plugs that offered 2 ports each for electronics charging. Perfect locale for my business trip to United Wholesale Mortgage. If flying in, try to share an Uber/ Lyft with another UWM Success Track party from the airport or rent a car. Fares ranged from $90-$212 for the 1 way transport at 8 p.m. on Labor Day.
Our very first stay at this location, first our bathroom wasnt clean. The tub had a ring around it,the floor hair pubic hair on it. Once complaining we were moved to another room. This one was clean as well as the bathroom although it only had a shower, which was okay with us. But the beds were very uncomfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. That was why I gave a 4 start.
Overall our stay was good. We’ve stayed at this hotel many times & we’ve never had any issues. Rooms are comfortable & clean. My only complaint, is a somewhat weak AC. When it’s close to 90 outside, I personally like an ice cold room. But, I love all the new updates & new decor, the staff is always super friendly & very accommodating. We especially enjoy the bar at Woodward’s. The bartender is friendly & fun to talk with. Good cocktails. Good food. Will definitely be back.
We had a wonderful stay at the Auburn Hills Marriott. This hotel was picked by our company as part of our holiday party, but I was pleasantly surprised how nice the stay was. The check-in was smooth and the front desk folks pleasant. Since we arrived early, we decided to have some food and drinks alongside our co-workers. The bartender was extremely nice, quick to come back when we were in need of refills and treated us well. When we came back from the company event, we had a couple additional drinks at the bar as well. The rooms were well sized and comfortable all around. I slept well that night and the late check-out was helpful, since we had spent the night partying.
Great staff everyone happy and push it to the maximum quality of service special thanks for Madison she was helping everyone in the morning and jump in to help the guests in night at the bar. Also special thanks to Amy &Mo in the morning they take care of us like a family.I love it!!!! I was there for UWM training
We stayed in this hotel for three nights. When we came back to our room in the last evening, we noticed that the house keeping did not finish their work during the day: the dirty cups and towels were taken away, but no clean ones supplied; and the beds were not made either. I called the front desk and got no answer. When I went down to the lobby, a clerk came out of a back room an told me that no house-keeping staff is available to supply the things I need. I went to the bar and found a very sympathetic bartender. He gave me the clean glasses for cold drink, a pot of hot water and a paper cup for my tea. The next morning, when we mentioned the problem in the previous night, the clerk brushed it off and explained that the hotel staff only worked half a shift the previous day. This gave me an impression that such things happen quite often and are not taken seriously. I feel happy for the hotel staff that they have such a considerate management which tolerates sloppy jobs so well. But as a hotel guest, I have to give a two star for my experience there. I would have given one if not for the helpful bartender. Finally, I suggest the hotel management to advise the guests at check-in that this property will have a reduced level of services during the holiday season. I would not have felt so disappointed if I had known what to expect.
I am a long time Marriott rewards member. I have 3 complaints for my last stay in Pontiac. First, being a vegan, the free breakfast option was actually free to Marriott as I only drank coffee the first day, which I also avoided the following 2 days. Second, the internet speed was terribly slow. Third, it has been 10 days and the points have not yet been posted to my account.
Fantastic hotel. Clearly just underwent a huge renovation and it looks gorgeous. I had not switched my reservation from a different hotel (our meeting had been moved) so I arrived without one. They quickly found a room for me and checked me in no questions asked. As it was past 9pm, it was greatly appreciated to be accommodated so quickly. My room was clean and fresh. The design and decor was contemporary. I got a king sized bed with plenty of room around the space; it didnt feel like it was crammed in there. The bathroom is gorgeous and the shower had great pressure plus new fixtures and hand held. This room is ADA friendly.
Very clean and had all Covid protection protocols in place. The rooms were clean and gym was open. The bar and inside restaurant was open and they offered room service. I tv remote does not allow external device selection which limits your entertainment to tv channels the hotel provides.
The hotel is pleasantly appointed and many rooms have been recently refurbished. The staff at the front desk were always welcoming throughout our visit. I stayed in an excellent room with a Kingsize bed and a Sofa bed which provided a comfortable place to sit when I did not want to sit at the desk. The room was clean and pleasantly decorated in an elegant understated style and of sufficient size so that it felt like a place to relax and be at ease with the world. The bathroom was clean and contained a splendid walk-in shower and all of the usual facilities. The breakfast is good without being exceptional and seems to be relatively expensive when added to the cost of the rooms. The service in the restaurant was also good. Unfortunately, there are a number of tables in the restaurant at which the seating position is ridiculously low in relation to the table. As this room has been quite recently refurbished, this is a surprising mistake. My colleagues and I have previously mentioned this to the management and I am really amazed that nothing has been done about it, especially as I have overheard several guests commenting on this issue, which would surely be quite inexpensive to fix.
Its been awhile since weve stayed here so it was nice to see that theyve upgraded the rooms and lobby. It looks much more modern and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. They have a bigger bar which is nice as well even though we didnt get a chance to stay for a drink. I was able to get hot tea from there around 11pm so that was great! I love the little market with the Coldstone ice cream for sale, yummy! The staff at the front desk was super polite and happy to greet us. I was able to check in on the app but the digital key wasnt working so I had to get a real key. This seems to be hit or miss at most hotels. The only drawback is even though I tried to adjust the room temperature to make it cooler, it really didnt do much especially with the fan on high. And I still bring my own toiletries as the ones Marriott provides are too strong of a scent.
Things now a days have have drastically changed due to COVID19. We were uneasy traveling because of that. The Marriott was everything you would want in a clean environment to excellent staff and services. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience during an unenjoyable time.
Excellent stay, with the highlight being the professional staff at this hotel. Everything is very clean, well organized and pleasant. During a three day conference all meals were provided by the hotel and each was wonderful. From front desk staff, to wait staff to cleaning staff everyone was very friendly, happy and helpful. I am a travel junky and have rarely found wait staff as professional as this except in Europe.
The outside appearance does not do justice to the inside decor of the hotel. The room accommodations were very inviting and comfortable. There are no complaints to report. The entire stay was more than relaxing and comfortable due to the updates and professionalism of the staff!
They took care of my car club when we visited and they even let us park one of our cars inside. They provided a wash station and coned off our lot. They have a separate big area to park trailers . Car Clubs take note and make this your base when visiting the motor city.
It was great! The rooms were modern and felt luxurious. The shower was impressive, and the bathroom was decked out with a lot of new features. They provided high quality amenities, and I would live to go there again. The only thing that wasnt great was the channels the TV had. All it had were movies to order, none that you could just turn on and watch. Other that that though, my stay was great!
Nicely decorated. Pool water very cold pool area not very warm.. Cold breezes coming in too cold for me still the kids liked it. Reception clerk lady was wonderful. Room temperature was not accurate cold air blows out when temp is raised to max. No microwave which was odd because Ive went to lower priced hotels and had one. When I tried to call desk services no one answered so we ate cold food. They hold a 25 fee on your card plus the room charge which seems odd but they say it reimbursed so Ill be looking. Overall nice amenities but not thrilled with the cold pool area and cold room. Fairly priced I paid 135$ for double bed room..
Your staff is absolutely the best that Ive seen!!! Everyone was so helpful and polite. This was my 50th Birthday celebration and it was such a hit that, in the future, your facility will be first consideration. I even had a guest that was so pleased with the service and room that hes planning on booking an event, in the future. I can not say enough about your staff including the front desk, maintenance, waitstaff, housekeeping, bartender, event planner, even manager, setup and breakdown crews, security an last but not least THE COOK was excellent!!! Your staff helped make my event a very memorable event and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Stayed here for a wedding and the reception was at the hotel. The set up was very nice (and large) and the rooms were clean. The bar/food area was also very nice. Id recommend trying it at least once during your stay. Location is not the best from the airport, but an Uber wasnt very expensive (but the airport taxi was). Just be aware of it. Its about 45 minutes away.
We recently stayed at the Marriott Pontiac and overall had a great experience. The rooms were very cozy. The hotel ambiance and décor was very modern, clean and classy. Our breakfast dining experience could have been better. We had no service, however, understand it was a busy time. There should be more experienced wait staff at busy times.
Due to being there on business I received free breakfast buffet vouchers which had amazing food. The rooms were gorgeous and comfortable no problems whatsoever. I was there for a couple nights and although its not really a problem I personally like to keep my room how I leave it but I could not find a do not disturb sign anywhere. 10/10 would recommend.
As a frequent traveler I have stayed at many hotel’s across North America. The Marriott brand far exceeds any of the others and this property is no different. I routinely stay here and have done so for many years. The reason why is customer service!!!! It is superb on every level. On this most recent visit I used the newly renovated bar/restaurant area on three occasions i had the opportunity to interact with staff members Tim and Bonnie. Having been served by Tim multiple times who is alway very friendly and pleasant His knowledge of the menu and his suggestions on a house favourite for a dinner option are always bang on. The man knows his stuff and is a great ambassador for the property. Our other server Bonnie I learned is fairly new to the team but also very friendly and efficient. We also were fortunate to speak with the bar and food service manager Michelle and commented on how much we enjoyed the new renovations and menu and our interactions with the staff. Always a clean, comfortable stay and now with new room, lounge and restaurant renovations. I will stay no where else while visiting the metro Detroit area.
My husband and I stayed at the Marriott for the second year in a row for an event held in Pontiac over a weekend. Our second stay was exceptional in terms of service. All staff members were polite, positive and very helpful, even with an incredibly busy weekend. The king-size bed room was very roomy and comfortable, as were the pillows and bed. The bathroom was very nice as well. The food tends to be on the expensive side in Woodwards, and having to pay extra for breakfast can be steep if you dont pay ahead when you book. We normally would not pay that price for food, but it is good just not what we would normally pay for similar meals at home. Overall, I would recommend a stay at the Marriott and we plan on another stay next year.
This is a great place to stay with very nice rooms. Very clean. They do have a restaurant and bar that is very decent. The M-Club for Marriott elite members was nice and the staff was extremely friendly. However, I thought their prices for a small glass of wine were very steep. Seems they would be a little more kind to their frequent stay clientel.
The hotel overall is a solid 4 star. they have recently finished upgrading the lobby and rooms. The staff was friendly the rooms were spacious and bed was extremely comfortable. There were several issues, the bathroom sink did not drain and the hot water was warm, while the hot water in the shower was scalding. The door needed to be slammed shut and the blackout curtain would not close all the way. That being said, Marriott is a great hotel and value and far about average. most of the staff have been there many years and are thankful for their jobs and reflects upon the service. Dont hesitate to book your room.
Local family stayed at Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac. Had work done on our home and needed to get away for a couple of days. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Woodwards served good food. Used the concierge lounge 4 or 5 times - always enjoy. Great surroundings and had decent entertainment on Thursday evening. Would come back if need be.
The event staff and front desk were very helpful! A few minor things I mentioned in my survey and the room hallway was a little on the warm side but it was warm outside as well. We came for a wedding . The reception and the brunch was at the hotel and they were lovely. Our meals were catered so I really dont know how the restaurant was . We eat a plant based diet and I reviewed the room service and bar menus and there wasnt too much for us but they did have a delicious option for us at the wedding. Not so much at the brunch, had potatoes and bagels, so it was adequate.
Reservation was in mine. My wife has same last name. I asked my wife to check-in while I parked the car, which we have done many, many times. The check-in people would not allow her to check -in because her name was not on reservation. Can you imagine? They made her just stand there. How to get the customer upset right at the beginning of their stay! Never again at this place.
Working with the Marriott staff was easy and painless. I needed to organize dinner and hotel rooms for 60+ co-workers. The Marriott staff (Linda & Alek) were great to work with and went above and beyond. The food was excellent and the rooms were clean. Everyone had a great time. Thank you!
Room were very nice and the restraunt food was excellent. Soup and shrimp appetizer were excellent John and Calvin were very polite and attentive to my desires. Check in was quick and friendly. I voted for the best pumpkins that were very nicely displayed. Staff was friendly when ever you saw one. And they had the best lunch I had ever had at a convention. The servers were very polite and always asked did you need anything and kept the tables cleaned.
I was really impressed with the hotel staff. All the employees we interacted with (the driver of the shuttle bus, multiple concierges, and the bartender were professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The hotel itself was recently renovated and both the rooms, main lobby and restaurant look great. The bathroom in our room in particular looked great however the shower was level with the floor of the rest of the washroom so we had to put towels down so the whole floor didnt get soaked. As for the location, it was very convenient for us to take a short shuttle bus ride to a car show and to travel in the area and to Woodward Avenue for food options. I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Pontiac, Michigan.
Spacious room with space for several bags and still enough seating. Comfortable bed. Quiet for sleeping. Good sized counter in bathroom. Roomy shower. Roomy closet but only one dresser drawer. Good internet service. Nice meeting rooms that are easily accessible but are separate from the lobby and restaurant.
The Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac is conveniently located just off I75 and Square Lake Road - great location for the northern Bloomfield Hills and Birmingham areas. We have stayed here many times over many years, always with a comfortable room, bed and easy self-parking. The new remodel has put a new modern look on the entire hotel. The bathroom tub was replaced with a great shower, room lighting was improved, seating is more comfortable. We still would prefer a comfort height toilet but that was not done in the remodel. That wont keep us from coming back though. Our daughter and her family live very near by so we appreciate the easy location when we drive back and forth to OHIO. We dont generally use the food service at the hotel so have no opinion on that. We do use the coffee maker in the room and like to find tea bags along with it since we dont both drink coffee.
The staff make this hotel. They’re generally excellent. Rooms are mostly renovated now but there is still some construction. The gym and pool are a complete mess for access as you have to get to and from through the M Club lounge, including its kitchen. I saw guests on swimsuits with bare feet going through these spaces. Also, part of the gym is cornered off for construction. They should just close both facilities until proper access can be restored. Restaurant and lobby bar have good food but the prices are expensive. They’re high enough that you might as well go off-property. I was the only guest having dinner in the restaurant. I also appreciate having the weekend Wall Street Journal, though copies of the local Detroit newspaper would be nice as well. The M Club lounge is a really nice space, but the staff were very slow to setup breakfast on Sunday morning. The buffet wasn’t fully out until 7:30 AM. It would also be nice if there were proper napkins instead of paper cocktail napkins.
Excellent property and professional staff in both behavior and appearance. The renovated M Club lounge is a nice addition for elite members. Restaurant food quality and service are also very good. Overall decor is modern and rooms are spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended!
Our stay was great. The room was comfortable and clean. We stayed over night for a wedding. The shuttle to the wedding was a nice convenience. The windows in rattled to the point we thought they may be unsafe. But Id say that was my only complaint. The bar staff was great.
I am amazed at the excellence of the Auburn Hills Marriott Hotel in Pontiac, Michigan. From the friendly and polite staff to the cleanliness of the room all of our needs were met. The beds are most comfortable as well as the pillow selections and sheets. During our visit several weddings occurred yet the staff made us feel as if we were their top priority. The email letter thanking us for our visit was an additional surprise and a special touch. It displayed the significant caring attitude by the manager which filters down to the entire staff. Thank you for providing us with a wonderful weekend and great memories. Our stay was the best of any Marriott experience!
I travel weekly for business. The staff at this Marriott are wonderful. everyone had a smile on there face at all times. the rooms were clean and comfortable. As a (then Gold now Platinum) Member I was offered upgrades and enjoyed the benefits of being a member. Great property. I will stay here every time Im in this area. Thank you to all the staff that helped my stay be so pleasant.
A beautiful place and handicap accessible also. The rooms are very nice and clean and the hotel is very refreshing and clean also.. The guest bathrooms were nice and clean. The beds are amazing and the rooms are beautiful. Pool is great for therapy or swimming as well as workout room. The service here has been exceptional from the front desk all the way to the housekeeping staff. Danielle and Evette and also Soubeiu was wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast was very nice and the staff was all so wonderful. The chef made the best omelette Ive had in a very long time and the waffles were amazing. Will stay again.
I expected perfection when booking a Marriot hotel; I am extremely disappointed in the service and cleanliness of this hotel. The lobby and rooms are nicely decorated, however the cleanliness of my room was questionable. Their were 2 dead flys on the window sill and I found a clump of hair on one of the hand towels. The swimming pool looked good however it was cold. I called down to inform the front desk and they told me that they will send someone down. After waiting for a half hour I walked down personally to the front desk. They once again informed me that they will send somone. I waited in the pool for another hour and no one came. The service and cleanliness I received at this hotel is not worthy of the Marriott name.
We stayed at this location for our sons wedding with many out of town family members. Everything was done with professionalism and friendliness. Many open seating areas for us to meet together. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. They did a great job placing our family on the same floor and near each other.
I stayed in your hotel in the 2012, I had some doubts about, but I really appreciated that you renovated all the rooms and the breakfast. Now the room are very comfortable with a good carpet, good docks with a lot of Usb for the recharge electronic staff, also the bathroom is nice, even if my room had the bath and not the shower, but it is ok with a lot of towels.Only 2 defects:1.During the breakfast the expresso and the cappuccino are not included, it is a pity2.no complimentary bottles of water in the roomthe omelette station instead is a very good choice and Gus was very special
Attended a conference here recently. Building amenities are pretty standard - small but nice pool, fitness center, bar, and a decent restaurant. The hotel room was well taken care of and clean. Conference rooms are well laid out, clean, and well maintained. There are several much larger rooms that can be separated into smaller ones as needed. The separator walls do only a decent job of suppressing noise from other adjacent rooms. Parking was tight. Granted, the hotel was booked 100% full for the conference, but it would have been nice to have another overflow parking area. What really set this hotel apart was the service - the event staff did a great job flipping room layouts quickly, answering questions, and resolving lighting and environment problems. The hotel and restaurant staff also did a great job - all problems encountered were resolved quickly. The entire staff seemed happy to have our group there for the weekend.
Always enjoy staying here - front desk staff are kind and greet me by name. The bar and dining are first rate - the barkeepers are fantastic! Love the concierge lounge and staff - first rate people. The fitness center is adequate - a few more machines would be nice, but overall very nice. I highly recommend this hotel!
We booked a block of rooms for my daughters wedding. We stayed two nights, the night before and the night of. The staff was very friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. We still needed to make flower arrangements for the wedding day, so we asked if they had a place where our group could get together to work on them. They provided us with a conference room to get them finished. It was a such a big help for us! The hotel rooms were clean, lovely, and nicely equipped. The bedding, of course, was superb and we were all able to rest well in our beds each night. I just cannot say enough about ALL the staff that we came in contact with. They were just great! They went above and beyond in every aspect.
All I can say is WOW! This is a beautiful property, clean, comfortable, and a wonderfully friendly staff. We were in the area for a funeral and needed a place to stay for the night. The stay was so nice, I wish it could have been longer. The rooms were well appointed and the beds were extremely comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay again or recommend it to friends and family.
We chose this place because it had the best reviews in the area for hotels in a humane price range. The reviews were right. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, the location was close to everywhere we wanted to go, and lighting was abundant. The cleaners did have a perfume-y smell, but less so than many hotels. The only drawback was that the room was on the warm, stuffy side. For our second night, we wound up buying a fan (which helped immensely). It was among the more pleasant places Ive stayed in many years.
It’s not a cheap hotel compare to other hotels in the area or within various Marriott brands. But it’s in an older building. Even though they tried to renovate it to make it look new, there are still small details showing its age.Breakfast in the lounge or outside is okish.Staff is welcoming esp. after knowing your status. But some operational improvements may be needed, for example: I requested late check out for 4pm but a guy keeps knocking on my door despite the don’t disturb sign and waking me up from sleep. He holds a sheet of paper saying my check out time is 1pm and demand that I check with front desk (not with a courtesy tone). Front desk confirmed 4pm checkout time and apologized but I think there are some process issues.I won’t give it a five star because I think they could do better as the leading Marriott brand, vs. courtyard etc.
Excellent service and warm friendly staff make this a great choice when doing business in the area. Highly recommend. Ive spent a total of 4 months with these folks in the past 2 years and have never had a serious complaint or issue. They remember me each time I return and even went out of there way to make sure the beer I like was stocked in the lounge upon request. When you stay somewhere one or two nights it is easy to miss the flaws, when you stay months at a time its not so easy. The site, staff and service at this Marriott is great and you will not be disappointed in choosing to stay here.
Great value if you have meetings in the Pontiac area. The location is a little difficult to find, but the property is good. The M Lounge is recently renovated and current for brand. The lobby bar/restaurant is excellent as well, with a friendly staff. The hotel is in good condition, seems to have been recently renovated in lobby as well as the rooms. Everyone from the front desk to the M Lounge, to Housekeeping were on point and friendly.
My sisters and I had a great time while visiting this hotel. The accommodations were clean and up-to-date. The beds were comfortable, although crowded since three of us shared a king sized bed (a mix up in reservations-good thing we like each other). We didnt spend much time in bed anyway because we were busy talking, eating, attending an event at OU, and visiting relatives in the area. This was our first time together without our Mom who passed away in late January. We had many tears and laughter, too. We had a grand celebration of our Moms life together at Centerpoint and look forward to returning for another visit. The employees are all so friendly and eager to help with any request you make. The food and coffee at the onsite Grille was incredible. I would not recommend the coffee at the bar (starbucks). It was weak for us, but we like it strong! The only problem was that our time there was too short.
My hubby and I are on an anniversary getaway... And our friendly front desk guy let us upgrade to the suite for the night!!! I am very impressed, this hotel has the latest furniture, decor, and style even down to the faucet fixtures and the cohesive design elements that flow from lobby to hallway to bathroom decor! Very impressive! Thank you Marriott!!!A side note: We got married just a few months after my dear friend, violinist Georgia Marriott, died in a tragic bicycle accident. I was planning to move into her apartment.... Until my hubby proposed. Sixteen years and four children later I still find myself thinking about Georgia when I look at a Marriott pen or sing in a church choir. Anyway Georgia was a Marriott, of the Marriott family, we have stayed exclusively in Marriott hotels throughout my husbands entire career. I am very satisfied with Marriott hotels over and over again.
We stayed at this hotel because we thought it was a classic Marriott property. The pictures showed the hotel to be recently refurbished and reviews indicated that some guests used the hotel as a retreat. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Make no mistake about it, this is a business hotel. Everything about it is geared to the business traveler. If you are there for anything else you will be disappointed. At this hotel, forget everything you ever knew about staying in a Club room. The M Club is in the lobby at the back of the restaurant and easily accessible to anyone in the hotel. The only meal the Club gives you is a stripped down breakfast. You pay for drinks, and the dessert that is offered is a small platter of only one kind of cookies. It functions as a place to work, if you dont mind the distraction of noisy kids. What is excellent is the Health Club. This hotel is great for business and business meetings. Those are the only guests who seem to get their moneys worth. As for us, next time we are in the area we will take our chances somewhere else.
Great lounge, great pool... But its very noisy place. Lots of sounds through out the night from passing cars to other guests walking down the hall. Will not stay again. The staff only became friendly after they realized our status. I guess we will try the courtyard next time.
The room was fantastic. Well designed, decorated and furnished. The hospitality was excellent. The price was unbelievably affordable. When I walked in, I thought it was easily going to be about $200 a night and it was only $119. Definitely one of the better hotels I e stayed in.
As a longstanding, loyal Marriott patron, and a repeat guest at this property I was very disappointed with the service provided by the hotel manager. The hotel has gone through renovations, which have made for a much nicer aesthetic, but poor customer service will keep me from every returning.
Accommodations at the Auburn Hills Marriott were very clean and comfortable. Our room had been recently renovated and had all modern conveniences. Staff was exceptional but we would especially like to thank Tim, Courtnie & Shandie for the special attention they gave us and the nice treats that we found in our room after dinner. We had a very nice, relaxing last-minute get-away.
No breakfast is available unless you pay for room service...No spa is available.. Decent and clean.. Pool area sucks! Not enough room for everyone they claim the capacity is 35 that was a complete lie ... Theres also a pool out doors but its just as small.. And no jacuzzi available.. You cant even do a lap in the pool.. i spent a nice penny and didnt get a chance to swim.. Didnt even get a chance to wet my feet without someone splashing that how small the pool is..Nice room but will not return.. Ive had better..😉
So, I stayed there for 5 days. My room was never cleaned the whole time I was there. In order to have your room cleaned you have to ask to have it cleaned. I should have to ask to NOT Clean my room. The food is very overpriced and not worth the cost. Sorry, should have stayed somewhere else.
Your Property was very nice. Everything and our needs we meet to our scarification. We arrived with my husband in a wheelchair and his much needed oxygen. The staff at the front desk were more than great. I was greeted by them when I had to go outside and return back in. Job well done by all.
Marriott is always my hotel of choice. Our teams stay here year after year for tournaments and are never disappointed.Rooms are clean and staff is always friendly and helpful.Whenever you look like you are wandering around, a staff member always asks if you need help with anything.Food is delicious at the restaurant and the pool is clean.Nice breakfast buffet as well.No complaints here. This Marriott certainly keeps up the Marriott standard.Ill be back ( in my Arnold voice)Alexia
The staff were rude. We couldnt check into our rooms as their card machine went down. They didnt have payment for the bride and groom even though they had paid. They charged another guests credit card for a room they werent in and then charged that guest for that room as well. They lost a reservation for one of the bridal party members. They didnt have shuttle service set up to get guests to the reception like they said they would. Overall was terrible
We asked for a room with bathroom bars that would assist my husband and for a room with as little walking as possible for the activities we were attending. We were given the first room from the elevator and the bathroom, not only had the assist bars, it had a walk in shower. Absolutely wonderful for us. We were really impressed that they not only listened to us, they accommodated our needs to a T.
This Marriott is on par with any other. The rooms are spacious enough, the beds are comfy, and the design is fairly modern. The lobby has an industrial vibe thats pretty cool. The stairs lead outside, so you are stuck taking the elevators, even if youre only up one floor. The restaurant had a decent variety in menu options, and everything was good. The M Lounge is nice, and the food there is pretty good too. All staff I spoke with were friendly and accommodating, but I didnt have any real conversations besides the initial check in.
Had multiple issues:1. My room reservation was partially deleted. My room was downgraded due to overbooking, however, I was still charged for my the rate of my original booking with a premium room.2. I was overcharged by $250+. There was an original charge of $200+ that was identified as a clerical error, charged to my account prior to my arrival. When I brought it up with hotel management I was assured that the charge was reversed and would appear on my card in 3-5 business days. Aside from the fact that I am now going on day 7 and I have not seen any reversal on my card yet, I question any establishment that claims that period of time in resolution. In this day and age, there is no reason why it should take so long for any bank to see a delay in communication from the hotel to the bank.In addition, due to the issues in the booking, I was overcharged $50+ in the original rate. I was assured that accounting would review and address, and that I would receive a call. That was 2 days ago, still no call.3. A $50 holding fee, was placed in my card. Of which I have not seen a reversal, yet. Again, I checked our 2 days ago. There should be no reason why this holding fee should still be on my card where it will now collect interest while Marriott decides whether they need to remove it or not. I did not use any of the services onsite that would require the charge to remain. It is not hard to confirm that there were no additional charges to the room due to food, internet services, television, etc. Finally, I have chosen Marriott twice this year for two separate trips in as many states. I have had similar issues with booking and billing. I don’t believe that this is a one off occurrence, but a general trend with Marriott services. I will not be returning and will not be recommending to any of my friends or family.
We booked a block of rooms for our wedding at this hotel and I would recommend it to anyone! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We even received complimentary wine and chocolate covered strawberries when we returned to our room the night of our wedding! You wont regret your stay here!
Nicely arranged hotel. You can actually eat at this inviting restaurant/bar. It accomodates a variety of groups, with intimacy, nice lighting and a superb staff. The beds and bedding were first rate. Be sure not to miss all the delights of Cranbrook House and Academy close by.Superb art, architecture, museum and grounds.
The problem is that the hotel is VERY inconstant. You have a very comfortable bed. Good pillows. Your walls are sound proofed, so I can sleep during the day because I had to work into the wee hours of the morning - and not feel like I am distributing anyone. Bathroom is okay, would like a separate shower / tub, but it works. HOWEVER - TWICE housekeeping woke me up from a sound sleep. The first time at 8:50 AM check out is not till 11:00 AM! - and I was staying till Monday - AND - I had a DO NOT DISTURB on the door. (I was trying to catch up on some sleep as I had been up most of the night with two intentional calls at 3:30 AM and 4:30 AM respectively. So, after a dismal breakfast, I went back to bed.) The cleaning staff was in the process of opening the door when I reached it! She asked if I wanted housekeeping and I said – NO. (You would be grumpy too if you woke up to someone opening your hotel door!) The second time was at 2:00 PM. Once again, they tried to open the door when I did not answer it within 30 seconds. Again they asked if I wanted housekeeping and I said – NO – and held up the DO NOT DISTURIB sign that was hanging on the door. Closing the door, I was standing trying to decide if I should take a shower or head back to bed for another hour of sleep when I heard the woman from housekeeping calling to confirm that I was indeed staying till Monday (which was then confirmed) – AND THEN – she stood there for 5 to 10 mins complaining about how rude I was to her to another maintenance person. The walls of your rooms are fairly sound proof - but not your doors! Some staff is great - the fellow that delivered my room service was friendly yet very professional. The food good. The order correct. Well done - 10 out of 10 ...and then you go down for breakfast, and they rushed me even though more than half the tables were empty. I was sitting eating a piece of toast, and the serving staff came and took my plate away. Nothing like sitting there holding your food to say - Hey, you’re welcome here. By all means, take your time and enjoy your breakfast. - By the way - your coffee is the worst! I had hoped it had improved by you are still serving that asphalt tar. Seriously, even the corner gas station offers a variety.
Hotel is overall nice, rooms and aisles feel like old.Bar is great but the service is not that great, I took long time to get my bill and to pay, also seems theres a need for at least one more waiter, they are rushing and cant serve well because of that.It really annoys me having to sign in to the internet everyday, why cant I sign once for the period I will be staying?Food is really good, tasty and affordable. Having a Starbucks inside is quite convenient. The meeting rooms are really good and the food and coffee breaks outstanding.
The moment I walked in after working 12 hours @ ups I was taking care of I was offered water an ask if I needed an help carrying my bags up to my room an was greeted by all the staff that seen that night an in the morning. The manager stop by when we were eating a ask how was our stay and some small talk he took our plates when we were done eating then later @ check out he came over an ask if wanted a bottle of water for the wait . Check out was fast an pleasurable
Nice hotel. We stayed there for a wedding. Ballroom was very pretty, staff was mostly nice. Our bartender seemed like she would have rather been elsewhere. Food was good at dinner and at the breakfast the next morning. Nod to the chef at the omelet table. Im not usually a Marriott guest so maybe some of the fancy is lost on me but they seemed kinda proud that they dont have vending machines and instead offer a store where you can get snacks and beverages. They had a decent enough selection but the cost was really high for Oakland County, Michigan. Plus it wasnt always open. Looking for a beverage late night and I was out of luck. Peloton bikes in the fitness center and decent wifi. Rooms were clean and quiet.
Hotel was was very busy during our stay, with the majoyof the guests seeming to be children. The common areas - specifically the lounge, entry and near the elevators. The hotel would have been wonderful, but the common areas were loud and quite littered. There was not enough staff to keep up with the mess. The elevators were busy, one of the 3 was not functioning and there were no stairs to access the ground floor - only emergency exits. We also had a very noisy neighbor that was actually yelling between midnight and 1 am. A call to the front desk resulted in someone telling them to quiet down. The breakfast was a mess! There was table service but many of the tables were left messy. It could have been nice, but the staff was too overwhelmed. The room was clean, well furnished and comfortable.
Be very careful when booking this Marriott. They overbook and upon arrival they will tell you there is good news and bad news. Good news is that they have a room for you somewhere else and they are picking up the tab. Bad news is that is not even a comparable room to what you booked because everything else around is 3 stars and lower. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. Seems to be a trend with Marriott lately as Ive had it happen to me twice.
Overall great stay. This Marriott made special accommodations for feeding our large group breakfast each day and - in typical JW fashion - anticipated our needs in the room. I would go 5 stars, I mean, the staff we interacted with were both warm and proficient, everything was clean and tidy... However, those fitted sheets were anything but. They pulled off the corners without provocation and exposed the otherwise comfortable mattress, yeah, I know. Id absolutely go back next time Im in town. After all, what could the life expectancy possibly be for ill fitting sheets?
The hotel and rooms have been remodeled and are lovely and comfortable, but the noise is ridiculous. You hear every person in the hall, every door opening and slamming, not to mention the road noise outside. I wasnt recognized as an elite member, and the breakfast and lounge were not explained. Breakfast was very confusing because there was some food inside the lounge but you were also able to eat from the lobby restaurant. The omelette station was excellent, but they should have plain yogurt, not just sugary flavors.
We had several breakfast lunches and dinners at the hotel over our stay. The staff was one of the most professional, flexible and well trained that Ive experienced in a long time. The werent any special requests, changes to menu items or seating preferences that upset them. They just took it all in stride with a ready smile and genuine willingness to help and serve.
Clean, friendly staff, just wish the breakfast started earlier, at 6. Having to travel into the city to be somewhere before 7 leaves me with no opportunity to enjoy a breakfast before I leave. I also wish that there was a microwave in the room with the fridge. Bar has decent prices for a hotel bar and the drinks are good for the price. Hoping to stay here for future business trips, but would really have to consider the breakfast situation if for more than a few days.
Stayed here for a hockey tournament. Upon entering my room, I noticed the toilet seat was not cleaned properly. I called the front desk, they apologized, sent someone up. No problem, they were booked. Sunday, I finally saw my room with sunlight beaming through the window and there were, what looked to be (and seemed confirmed by Lorenzo, the Housekeeping Director) defecation stains in two places on the carpet. I made multiple requests with multiple employees for a call back from a manager. My stay began 10 days ago...and nothing.I would HIGHLY recommend taking your business elsewhere.
I was very impressed by the staff at Marriot Pontiac. The hotel itself is clean and well maintained and the decor is so beautiful in its subtlety, but by far the greatest asset here is the amazing staff. They genuinely care for the guests. Reception staff were engaging, actually listened and maintained eye contact when you spoke. So accommodating and guest orientated. From restaurant to pool to housekeeping. Aisha and Katisha were amazing in every aspect. Helpful, attentive and always cheerful. All the staff were great. Thank you for a great time and we will be back.

2022-02-17Didnt actually stay here but want to meet someone to visit an old friend from out of town. Beautiful hotel very well run with security, a bar, restaurant, along a wonderful staff who will meet your every need no matter what time of the day or night. I would recommend this hotel but have no idea how each and every room is in the hotel to give you an idea on that but from just what I saw very nice

2022-03-08Positive: The room was nice and clean with comfortable beds and had an updated new look. I loved the fluffy pillows. The staff was very nice and was a good location. The pool was large and clean and we appreciated a warm pool room. Negative: We were disappointed that our room didn¿t get cleaned during our stay over. We had to ask for soap, towels and trash bags. The pool was too cold and the ladder had a broken step. No jacuzzi. The restaurant was too expensive and breakfast wasn¿t incl

2022-03-15Not a good experience at all. First room had a hair tie on the restroom floor, corners of the restroom has a lot of dirt in them, pillow case has stains on them and there was other debris on the floor through out the room. Clearly this room was not cleaned prior to use going to it. We were given another room only to find the same thing. The bathroom had toothpaste on the wall near the sink the back of the entrance door looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time, the window looking out looked like it had not been cleaned since the hotel opened. My wife attempted to make tea but the brown clumps and dirty water that came out of the pot was disgusting. I try to not leave negative reviews but this needed to be shared. For the price we paid, I was not happy at all with the level of cleanliness in this hotel. I will say the people at the front desk were very nice and the lady that waited on us in the restaurant was great. For the price this was a complete rip off, not to mention the breakfast was $18 and about the same thing we usually get for free at other hotels. Sorry Marriot tried, but will not be back.

2022-02-18Amazing experience! Very clean environment! The night life at the hotel was awesome as well as the lady bartender was very nice and made excellent drinks. The African American gentleman was very nice at check in and made sure I received everything that was apart of my getaway package through being a marriott bonvoy member. Also our charcuterie board was phenomenal! Room was very clean!

2022-02-22Went here on a paid trip by UWM to visit their HQ as they are an investor we use. The hotel was great, food was good, alcohol was affordable, and the room was relaxing, quiet, and even flexible as we had to leave early to make a flight since the next days was cancelled

2022-06-07The place is cozy. I take away a star because the room was not 100% clean, I found small marks of fungus on the shower curtain. Otherwise, it was very good.

2022-05-05When I arrived there was some sort of dehumidifier or air purifier in the floor. I went back down and the lady at the desk was eemednconfused by it and asked me to take a picture of it for her. Gave me another room.Floor was dirty. There was food in the refrigerator. 3 of the 4 wash cloths had red stains, I guess they were stains. On the morning of day 3 when I left in the morning I asked if I could have 2 wash cloths and 2 towels delivered to the room. I also asked if they would empty the trash. When I got back that afternoon they had set the items on the sink and one of the wash cloths had a dark stain the size of a half dollar. It was very noticeable but left anyway. The trash was still in the room and the dirty towels were left in the floor. I had bundled them together for easy pick up. I wont be staying here again.

2022-02-25Stayed for a Training at uwmThe first receptionist was a very nice guyThe hotel was not clean especially elevators and curtains in bathrooms had dark stains, I asked to change room, the other one they moved me into was worse, the bathrooms curtains were dirtier and the sheet were stained. Breakfast was ok
