The experience I had was great, the only issue is they gave me the car on Empty and ended up not giving me the car for what it was advertised and was unwilling to put gas in the car for me. other than that the Car was great and experience was about an 7 1/12 out of 10

Comment: They have a mechanic named Eric who offers more help to others for mechanic issues. I would not recommend that guy. He rips people off and does not actually do the work. I wish someone calls him out one day because if I knew and if he was infront of my face I would have told him facts. He wears his uniform proudly to places he meets people but he actually does not help your car out. This is already 4 people and he’s just enjoying stealing money and not fixing our car issue. Comment: First of all, I would like to say that reviews are good to look at, but at the end of the day they’re opinions of many different people on many different things. Use it as a guide.I have never been to Auto Republic in Fullerton. I don’t know anybody there but I contacted Chris the Sales Manager on the phone a week before coming down to purchase a vehicle. I told him upfront I’m pretty straightforward and don’t want to play any games and I don’t want any extras. From the time that I got to the dealership to the time that I left, the deal took no more than three hours. Everybody was very friendly and very professional. I told Chris that I would like to be very transparent and we worked the numbers out pretty quickly then we went for a test drive and then came back and did all the paperwork and I was on my way. On my way home from the dealership I encountered a warning light on the dashboard so I contacted Chris and he asked me to go have it checked out at my local AutoZone where they said you need to go to the dealer and I checked it out there for free and they told me what the problem was and then I got back on the phone with Chris and we set up an appointment and I came in and it was no hassle whatsoever, they fixed it And I am more than happy with my vehicle, and more than happy with the experience that I had at this dealership. I’ve had bad experiences over the years with car dealerships but recently I educated myself on how everything works there and so I was very upfront. They were very upfront and they sold a car. I bought the car and we’re both happy.I know there have been good experiences and bad experiences with other people in the reviews, but I would give this almost a five star and I would definitely do business with Chris and Auto Republic againBy the way, after the work was done, the service manager explained everything to me and it took less time than what was estimated. We brought it to Anaheim Hyundai because we thought they would have the best idea on how to get it fixed. We also paid $2000 to a different mechanic which had no idea. I purchased a 2015 F150 from this dealership and only owned the truck for 2 days before it had to be towed to a dealership resulting in $2400 in repair cost. Harold the manager hasn’t been helpful with trying to refund me on the repair cost or making things right. Spend your money on a vehicle that was actually looked/serviced by professionals and not these guys. Biggest scam ever! They don’t care about the customer and never will! Comment: Bought my car from here and was not the best experience. It took forever for everything when I already had my loan approved from a bank. Instantly prepare yourself to pay an extra at least 2,000 on your loan because they mandatory have Lojak installed as well as a clear coat for the vehicle. My windshield on the vehicle was not properly sealed and I’m still missing the rubber sealant part on my vehicle. My brakes started squeaking a week after driving it off of the lot. When I brought it back to them they did not look at nor fix after me repeating several times what my issue was. Got irritated from driving back and forth and just did not have it in me to drive 50 miles just to go back there. I ended up having to pay someone to replace the brakes. I would NEVER buy another car from here. I have had way better experiences elsewhere.

Comment: My husband and I unfortunately had a nightmare experience here and I would never write a negative review until speaking directly with a manager first but not one person reached out to us after our clutch exploded 24 hours after purchasing our vehicle from here. We were sold a manual Jeep Wrangler that had an open recall on the clutch for overheating and exploding as well as a STOP SALE issued by the FCA but were still sold this car. My two kids and husband had the clutch explode on the freeway the second time we drove this car. After having it towed back to Auto Republic less than 48 hours after, we were met with blame and a service center claiming it was user error. Not one manager called us to ask if we were physically ok or willing to take responsibility for this issue that was directly a result on the open recall. We could have died, the car could have imploded. This car was purchased 08/12/23 and almost 2 months later, we still have not had anyone reach out to us from here.

Comment: I know there a lot of mixed reviews with this dealership... Here is my honest review with them as I did end up purchasing a vehicle from them. I called in and spoke with Arman (very solid guy) he gave me some more information on the truck I was interested in purchasing. I came in later that day and Arman was available so he was able to show me the truck. Everything checked out on my list. I was already pre-approved with my local CU so that sped things up a bit. There was a little going back and forth about the purchase price of the truck. We came to an agreement and I was in n out in about 3 or so hours. There was a bit of some miscommunication with one of the finance guys regarding the title of the truck and getting it transferred over to my credit union to complete the loan process. Harold ( The GM ) reached out to me and assured me that he would take care of it. A week later the loan process was completed and the title was transferred over to my CU. Thank you Arman & Harold for the great service.

Comment: Careful with these sharks, went in there pre qualified with Capitol One-worked with Jose who said he would call me back following day but turns out it was his day off so I called back and spoke with 3 other people and one promised to call back and gave me his personal cell phone number but he didnt either. I called back the 3rd day and a “new” Jose answered the phone and said the other Jose was with a customer. I said if he didn’t call me back I would just add to the bad reviews and not believe anything they say-the “new” Jose proceeded to argue with me that I should be blaming the lender if they didn’t call me back and BEWARE of telling them your using capital one because they will run your credit with new lenders but tell you they aren’t so a new hard inquiry for your credit.

Comment: Pros: I found the car I wanted at the price I wanted and under 100k miles. The manager pointed me in the right direction regarding financing the car.Cons: It was a frustrating experience on the first day of negotiations. After spending nearly 3 hours there on Saturday I had to come back Monday to complete the deal. It seemed they had no regard for my time. They would appear & dissappear into the office frquently. The biggest complaint is I was forced to buy two products I didnt ask for if I wanted to buy the car (LoJack & some door protector) that added over $1400 to the cost to buy the car. Maybe a smarter buyer would have walked out but I submitted. I guess they knew I wanted the car. Im sure it happens all the time. Lastly, I didnt get as much as a thank you from the salesman Richie. Not until I said thank you to him!

Comment: Disappointing Experience with the Fullerton Location.Three months ago, my family and I purchased a 2008 Chrysler Pacifica with 59,000 miles from the Fullerton location. Considering our budget of under $7,000, we were initially satisfied with the price. However, as time went on, our experience with the car and the dealership was less than satisfactory.At the time of purchase, the dealership assured us that the car had no significant issues despite its age. They claimed the brakes and tires were at 50% of their useful life, but unfortunately, this turned out to be far from the truth. To our dismay, we were charged an extra $1,000 for a low jack that was never even installed.Shortly after bringing the car home, we noticed several problems that needed attention, such as a malfunctioning Lyft system for wheelchairs, a passenger seat that swiveled uncomfortably, a faulty door, and a non-functional window. The dealership agreed to fix these issues if we brought the car back within a month. We complied with their request, but to our disappointment, none of the problems were addressed.Within just two months of owning the car, we encountered a flat tire, prompting us to take it to a mechanic for inspection. To our surprise, we were informed that the tires were nearly worn out and required a complete replacement, setting us back an additional $600. Furthermore, we have now encountered brake issues and a persistent check engine light problem, estimated to cost us another $600 for repairs.Its incredibly frustrating to experience so many problems with a vehicle that was supposedly thoroughly inspected before purchase. The lack of follow-through on the dealerships part and the dishonesty regarding the cars condition have left us feeling disillusioned and unsatisfied with this entire transaction.In hindsight, we should have been more vigilant during the purchase process and demanded a more comprehensive inspection of the vehicle. We hope this review serves as a warning to potential buyers considering a purchase from this dealership, and we strongly advise thoroughly inspecting any vehicle before finalizing a purchase at Fullerton. Comment: Purchased a car from Auto republic back in April. They added extras to the car like a LoJack system. Once they sent the code to me to activate and transfer the system to me, the LoJack stated that it was unable to locate the car. Contact LoJack and was waiting for a Dealer Relations Manager to approve, which I believe they were waiting approval from the dealer I purchased the car. They never replied and approved the inspection of the LoJack system to be inspected. I paid $900 for the system that does not work. They also charge a lot for a film placed on the door edge which you can get a thicker door protector for a lot less.I would of given a higher review, but the dealer just wants to just sell cars and thats it. I would not recommend Auto Republic.UPDATE: Ella and Solomon from Auto Republic’s customer service team contacted me and helped out with my issue. Solomon really helped out by getting in contact with Spireon and having a tech come out to my location to fix the LoJack unit. Solomon kept in contact, giving me updates, and making sure it would be fixed. Now, I’m 100% satisfied with my purchase and the dealer I made the purchase from.

All over the phone i even got my bank to finance the whole thing and one rep was still asking for down payment while easing the price agreed. When I picked up I was told it would have a full tank and detailed. Nope, fiancé guy didn’t even shake my hand after signing. Worst of all the first day I get a check engine light. Now they are avoiding me and giving the run around. I have to take time off work to get a diagnostic. I will never purchase for this place or recommend to anyone. Comment: We live in San Jose and flew down to buy a (rare to find) used Toyota Prius from Chris. From the phone call to driving off the lot we had 4 star + service. Chris went far above and beyond to make sure the car was in impeccable condition, and we had all the paperwork we needed to get on the road and back home to Northern California. He even offered up water for the road, a full tank of gas so I wouldnt have to find a gas station, etc. Just really thought of the small details that make a customers experience TOP NOTCH. He shared details as well to make sure it was a smooth transition up here, knowing we wouldnt be able to just pop back in if anything went wrong. There is no question wed buy from him again and recommend our friends in SoCal to him. Hes one of those completely honest, hard working, top customer service people thats rare to find. You surely can tell the hood lines arent lined even to fenders. White mercede has paint tear drop and pain run. Then all the extra charges for packages that the car already have when sold by O.G dealer. The car is used and packages are already on the car from the original first owner purchase from dealer. You can look up car by vin # and also do a carfax yourself. So go through the car with detail. There are cars that been repaired on there lot. They work on commission. So again BEWARE. Especially the B S from manager. This is fir this lot. Dont know about the other ones.

The staff is very helpful and personable and overall I appreciated their willingness to work with me throughout the process.The car I purchased started making a sound the day after I took it home and after a few weeks of conversation, Auto Republic allowed me to bring it in for repairs (including new parts) free of charge. They were responsive and eventually followed through with the repair so I am satisfied with the service.Their prices are a bit high and they force your hand with added features already installed on the car that arent in the original listed price.Overall a good experience, just come in with adjusted expectations and know there may be complications as so often happens with used cars. But if you are looking for a quick and easy purchasing process, this place is the way to go!

Keep in mind, they sneakily add $2000 in fees for powder coated wheels and Lojack that they don’t include in the listed purchase price of the car online. In addition, when I was leaving the car dealership and they knew I was traveling a long distance, I then realized that they had only filled the tank up half-way. That was a poor thing to do but not surprising to me now. Once I convinced them to wash the car before delivery, I was ready to sign docs and receive both keyfobs, as presented to me by Danny.When Danny presented both keyfobs, only one was operating. He stated he did not have a Keyfob battery and that I should simply replace with a new one when I got home.Long story short - A new battery was not the solution. Danny and his TEAM refused to provide a second working keyfob and finally offered to cut a check for $50 toward MY COST to get the Keyfob REPROGRAMMED to the car!This IMO is just plain POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE!BUYER BEWARE

Another week later, a major hose broke while I was driving and I incurred over a $500 repair bill. Auto Republic sells cars that have not been properly inspected. Although I communicated with the manager Harold several times about the handle cover falling off, he never followed through to help me. If I have any other major problems with this car, I will consult an attorney to see if they can help me recuperate the costs.Problem with Purchase:Auto Republic screwed up my car purchase by sending the car title to the wrong bank. I was under pressure from my bank that they would have to pull my credit again because it took so long to straighten out the mess.Purchase Experience:I traveled to Auto Republic, Fullerton from San Diego because I was interested in the Volvo that was advertised for $16,500. Comment: Worst experience I’ve ever had. The salesman, Chris, sat us down to do paperwork and refused to tell us the total price. We asked him repeatedly and he kept saying we would get to that (it was about 2 hours of that). He forced us to get insurance through a broker that I assume was his friend even though we kept telling him we had AAA and were adding it there. He lied and said we couldn’t do that. We went to AAA this morning and sure enough he lied and we paid about $300 to his broker friend that is non refundable. All this while we still didn’t know the price of the car. He had the poor finance guy doing all the DMV paper work and everything as if it was a done deal while we still didn’t know the price of the car. We sat at his desk for about two hours while he ignored our simple request of knowing the total price. He just kept running out and leaving us sitting there. The finance guy, Albert, finally called us in ready for us to sign papers and he was just as shocked as us that we didn’t know the price yet. He had done all the paperwork and we weren’t even sure we were taking the car. When he told us the price it was beyond what we were willing to pay (the dealer adds non optional things to the car that they don’t include in the original price). Albert worked with us and got the car to a reasonable price so the time he spent doing all the paperwork and the time we spent sitting around wouldn’t be a waste. If it wasn’t for Albert we would not have purchased the car even though it was exactly what I wanted. So thank you Albert for helping us get a car and making the experience a little more pleasant at the end. They have good cars on their lot but I would ask for a different salesman if you get Chris. Also be aware of the added on fees in the fine print. Not sure that getting a car was worth the stress of the experience.

After sitting down and going over the numbers it was 2k down and 18,500 financed thru my credit union. I decided to pass on this deal. After that I found another Q60 with 10,000 less miles for 14,400 which turned into 16,500 out the door. Put down 1,500 and got financed for 15,000. Save your self the time and the money. I only posted this because Ed the manager told me I couldn’t afford my Q60 which I’m driving now. Thank you Ed I love the motivation. 😉

Then it turns out the paper hes showing me (confusingly) doesnt include a few important vehicle components, such as the already installed security system, the seats (yes the seats of the car), and.... wait for it.... the wheels! Yes, you read that right, the cars seats and wheels (the ones pictured in the auto trader ad) were extra add ons! So make sure to bring a flatbed trailer with you if youre hoping to get out of there paying the advertised price. What a waste of a morning thanks to these clowns.

I was strongly encouraged to buy a waranty, I bought the waranty on the spot and that increased my down payment $1500. I further researched this autowarranty company and regretted the decision so I called and had them remove the warranty. I was not refunded the $1500, but rather it was rolled into my payments.. I was okay with that, but I was still dismayed at the deparity to sell this warranty. They told me they would take my trade in and pay off my balance.1 month later, I get call after call from my financer saying I have an outstanding payment. Auto republic failed to take care of the payment, so I was stuck paying back payments and I was never given a reimbursement from auto republic, nor was that payment rolled into my current loan. Now, I am three months into my purchase and my dealer issued temporary plates expired a month ago and I have not been able to get a hold of the dmv manager there nor have I received a call back. This place is sketchy and I would not trust them with large purchases such as a car or truck.

Everything seemed too good to be true - BECAUSE IT WAS!! Once we started getting into the paperwork we realized they added over $1k in add-ons that arent required AND we were not asked if we wanted (GAP coverage, extra theft insurance). Because we read everything we stopped them and made them remove this from our contract (its cheaper elsewhere).LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER - the dealership called us to tell us our APR increased 1.4% and we needed to drive back and sign a new contract or return the car with zero restocking fee. Then a couple hours later (bc were working) they tell us we have to pay the $500 restock fee (for a car we drove home, less than 25miles and had for less than 24hrs). How can someone charge $500 for a contract that is NOW VOID DUE TO THEIR NEGLIGENCE - AS THEY WERE THE ONES THAT JUMPED THE GUN AND TYPED UP THE APR INCORRECTLY (per our credit union who confirmed with the dealership that the dealership made the error on their end). And the Sales Manager has the audacity to say if we didnt like it we can bring back the car and theyll sell it to someone else (as he chuckled about it).I REPEAT - DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I live about 78 miles from this place and I was about to hop on the freeway, then glanced at the gas gauge and had less than a quarter of a tank, so I had to go out of my way to get gas before getting on the freeway, SUCKED!Wouldve gave them a decent score, but when your told something and that something doesnt happen, its one of 2 things, a lie, or just poor customer service. One for $395 for paint protection that I didnt ask for and one for $895 for a lojack. They were never going to tell me about the extra $1300. When I found the charges, they said they told me the car had lojack. No one ever mentioned the paint protection. On top of it, the manager was not friendly from the beginning. My cost of purchasing missing parts has taken a toll on my pocket book. I’m finding that some of the parts were missing to hide underlying problems with the vehicle! As of today I still haven’t received A reply from any of the staff at (Auto Republic). Capital One Financial says as soon as you sign the paperwork, it’s your problem! We can only stop doing business with that dealership! Do your homework and look deeper into the vehicle! The one I purchased had A clean car fax! It doesn’t mean anything at all! Asked for water, the reply was no cups. Decided to buy the car and requested that the car be washed because it was dusty. The answer is that car wash is twice a week and its clean enough. Asked for a full-tank and the sales agent paid for gas out of his own pocket. Overall, lots of waiting and very minimal service. Comment: I was holding off on leaving a review. Give them time to do the right thing. I only went to this dealership since a former coworker works there. Bought a 2014 335i with 34k miles on 5/18/2019. Paid fair price for it. I noticed on the service records that brakes were never changed. Brakes squeaked occasionally when stopping. Tires seemed a little bald. I was told they inspected the car, and everything was fine. I asked about bringing it to my own mechanic for an inspection and was told I would not be allowed to. I could bring my own mechanic there, but not able to bring it to anyone to have the vehicle put on a lift. This should have been my first warning sign. I figured whats the worst that could happen. Car has no mileage. Ended up taking it to a mechanic I never met before on 5/24/2019, and to a really good (mechanic) friend for a second opinion. I was told brakes needed to be changed ASAP, tires were bald, coolant is leaking, and oil pan leak. I reached out immediately to Auto Republic who held off on me bringing the car in until 5/30/2019. They told me everything with the car is fine, and are currently refusing to do any of the work. Except for the fact the car is a road hazard with bald tires and brakes.

Comment: If I could I would give this place zero stars my fiancé went down and traded his perfectly running truck in for a 2012 Dodge diesel that they said was running perfectly and since it has been brought home has been in the shop for two weeks straight there refused to help fix any of the problems. the day he took it home his check engine light came on so we called and was told to take it down to them and they can fix it given we live in the high desert that was a far drive so we took it down there and was told they didn’t have the parts to fix the problem and we could take it to any dodge dealership it was under warranty and wouldn’t be charged a thing once we got back home with nothing done we took it in to our local dealership where they discovered $2000 worth of issues with this truck none of which were covered under the warranty and needed immediate attention. We had called the dealership with the issues that were found and expected a refund for the work we had to pay for since they sold us a money pit of a truck that we hadn’t even gotten a chance to really drive or use and they refuse to do or help in any way after guaranteeing the problem would be fixed without and payment necessary. Doesn’t help that I am 7 months pregnant with our first child and have enough expenses as is, we thought a bigger vehicle would be better and safer but ended up completely in debt due to this dealerships lies and negligence I would not suggest them to anybody if you choose to still do business with this company good luck .

Or at least disclose everything that was apparent.In the end I signed the decline for returning the vehicle, stupid on my part..They are currently inspecting the engine light and fog lights. I was in contact with Jose for more than a few days about a 2014 Outback thats been on the lot for over 3 months. I had been in the talks to getting this vehicle and was going to make the trip last Wednesday. I figured since I had spoken with Jose early in the morning, he would hold the vehicle. As most dealerships do that. I was going to travel 3 hours to get this Outback. He called around 11 am to tell me someone was about to purchase it. 30 minutes later, he called to tell me it didnt go thru. I then asked if he could hold it until I get there as this is a long drive. He chose not to answer this question and said oh well theyre taking the keys out of my hands whatever that meant. I told him to hang onto it and ill be there around 4 to 5 pm because I obviously need a ride to get there. 2 plus hours later, around 2 pm. Im 30 minutes into the drive from where I live and receive a call telling me its been sold.Now, anyway you look at that was dirty. He let it sell from under me EVEN THOUGH I called EARLIER at 9 am that Wednesday to talk to him about it. I even ASKED for it to be held on the 3rd call of talking to him. I was going to drop a fat 7 to 8 thousand dollars CASH on the spot for the Outback. Think of the commission he wouldve made from that. He just let money slip out of his hands. Comment: Sold me a car for a good price but had 2 things wrong with it. The window got stuck and one of the tpms sensors did not work. Went back twice to get both fixed. The window will probably get stuck again as it wobbles when going up or down. The tpms sensor wasnt replaced and Ive called 4 times and no one will give me a straight answer just a we will call you back and they never do. Not major issues here but still you would think they would fix it right the first time instead of having me drive 45 minutes to this dealership to get it fixed.

Comment: These guys sold me a lemon, thank god I got the 42 hour return policy. While purchasing the car he gave us a car fax the car had a clean history on it. Next thing I noticed that the car had a year of no activity on the car fax( major red flag) I asked him he stuttered and so it probably was sitting in the lot. So I went outside to get a relook at the car I can tell the car had frame damage, I asked him about it he said no it never been in an accident. The back bumper was uneven the driver side door was off track, every time I opened the driver door you can hear a sound like it was rubbing against something. I looked past it cause I wanted the car bad, next thing I notice is that the freak led is out! I’m like wow, then the rotors had rust on it. When we started the car it had a 2 second lag. I took it back to these guys the very next day. Don’t go there!!

Comment: Employees are really nice and patient. This was my first time to purchase a used car, So I had many questions to ask. That guy answered my question patiently.However, they forced you to buy some anti-theft device, which is nearly $1000. When I told them I dont want such device, they told me that they had already installed the device, so you have to buy it. I really love this car, so I pay the extra money. I recommend you to find a car somewhere else. But if you fall in love with car in their shop just like I do, preparing extra $1000.I gave 3 stars because I really enjoy my car now. Comment: What a pleasant surprise! We are so lucky the car we wanted happened to be for sale at Auto Republic! We were looking for a Rav4 EV and there arent a whole lot to choose from. Auto Republic had the exact car we wanted. This was our first time dealing with Auto Republic and we werent sure what we were going to be dealing with. Luckily, we had the quickest/smoothest car buying experience ever! The no haggle policy was actually quite nice (you save so much time going back and forth from customer to manager and their prices are very competitive). Sergio was very nice, helpful and went above and beyond for us. The financing was totally streamlined and they got us out quick! Our only small complaint is that our car was not fully charged but, they did offer to charge it for us and bring it to us the following day. Hopefully we dont need to buy another car anytime soon but, if we do we will check Auto Republic first!

Comment: 1st I was fortunate enough to get Johnny. He is professional, experienced and easy going. Im a techy and detail oriented. I researched cars + dealer experiences. I am skeptical of car dealerships. This dealer is straight-forward, real and honest. You can let your guard down and buy a car with confidence they will not rip you off or slide in hidden fees. The no haggle prices are exceptional when you consider mileage and features on the cars. No haggle is the way to go. I had no hidden fees. When I asked them for a list, they gave it to me. All reasonable and normal fees. No big 800+ or 1500 + add on fees at all. I bought a 2011 BMW 550i. Strongly recommended. Their system tied directly into SFCU and we signed and did my pre-approved loan from SFCU in 30 minutes. Amazing! Best car buying experience EVER.

Comment: Spend your money in a more reputable dealer, this guys buy from the auction as-is and put the cars in the front line with out any inspection, heck they dont even do a full car detail where they clean the car inside out, if you like a car they have and cant resist buying it,have a independent mechanic do a inspection which i think they wont allow you but try, salesmen are not educated at all, they dont know anything about cars, i purchased a car from them on a sunday, on Monday i told them it needed brakes, i spoke to the person who sold me the car, tito was his name, he told he will talk to his manager, call me back and gave all this excuses, luckily i know a little bit about mechanic, so i did the brakes my self, while doing the brakes i noticed the both tie rods were bad and also the engine air filter, since i dont like any disputes i bought everything and ended up doing it my self, then 5 day later car died on me on my way home, i call tito to his cell phone and directly to the dealer and never got a call back, i had to go the dealer my self after work and i talked to a person named david in finance, i explained the whole situation about the brakes, the tie rods, the air filter and that the car died on me a day before and it was the alternator that was bad, i told them that when you buy a used car their is a risk, but not 2 or 5 days after you buy a car from a dealership, so either they had to fire the mechanic in the back or they dont check the cars they buy from the auction, i show him receipts of all the parts i bought, total i spent on parts around $1000 dollars + 1200 on labor, at the end i had to replace the alternator,battery,brake pads, engine filter,left and right tie rods, the dealership only promise me a refund of $300.00 which i never got, david and tito did everything to avoid my phone calls, and to this date the check they supposedly mailed never arrive. DONT WALK, RUN!!!!!

Comment: I stopped in to look at a 2016 Ford Mustang... Theyre asking $25k for it, which is pretty pricey to begin with. The car had several issues, chipped paint, worn out tires, several noticeable scratches, damaged and scraped rims and a hole in the rear bumper. It was apparent that the previous owner hit something with his rear end... When I pointed all this out to the salesman and told him that the condition doesnt match the price, all he said was we are no haggle dealership... He did offer to ask the manager as to what can be fixed, but at that price, used Mustang should be in very good condition... I felt they were unrealistic, so I left...

The vehicles come from auctions so they dont always have a whole vehicle history but I know they look for quality vehicles at decent prices to be able to make a profit while still offering a great deal to the consumer. We did purchase a Chevy Aveo that started having electrical problems. There was no way of knowing that when they sold the car- even after the problems began, the Chevy dealer couldnt even figure it out and told us repeatedly there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. So I understand that someone in that situation would be upset. But I also know that the guys at Auto Republic have always been very helpful and respectful of me and my time. And have done what they can to take care of me, my family and my employees.Im sorry but if youre looking for a car in mint condition maybe you shouldnt be looking at stuff thats over 10 years old (just a suggestion).Look for the best deal, check your CarFax and check out the car to the best of your abilities.

Comment: I am an out of state buyer that was interested in the Porsche Cayman S they have for sale. After both DJ and Eddy assured me the car was in Perfect mint condition. I coordinated to have them take it to a nearby Porsche shop to do a pre purchase inspection since I couldnt view the car in person. They missed the first appointment I had scheduled for Monday morning so I rescheduled for Wednesday morning. They showed up over 2 hours later than scheduled.The pre purchase inspection found that there was touch up paint over chips in the paint, scratches on the door, and a broken mud guard. So much for mint condition.In addition to the cosmetic defects, the technician reported that the air bag light was on with due to it having 5 faults. The rear brakes squeaked, it had worn out suspension bushings that made noise while turning and a nail in the rear tire. This tells me that they obviously dont care whether the cars they sell are safe for the road.I told them up front I was looking for a mint condition car with no problems so they could have been honest and let me know this probably wasnt the car for me but instead they lied and I had to pay a shop to tell me the truth about the car.

Comment: This review pertains to the fullerton location. The vehicle I purchased sold itself, the salesman definitely did not sale me anything. His dishonesty was very obvious, and I could see through him like a window. Once I walked on the lot the tag in the window read with warranty once we sat down and did the paper work he tells me strait to my face that the car did not have a warranty. I then reply just be truthful with me, because it did, when I asked about the tire pressure light being on, his excuse was the car has been sitting in the lot for a insurmountable amount of time, come to find out there was a slow leak from a puncture (which I figured). I asked if I could atleast receive a full tank of gas off the lot for the cracked spoiler, while excessively batting his eyes he said Im sorry. I probably would have still purchased the car anyway out of my sheer desire to own that specific vehicle, even with the cracked spoiler, need of an oil change, and puncture in the tire. I cant even recall the gentlemans name that sold me the vehicle, but really small in stature and kinda frale. If you are reading this please just be honest and strait forward with your customers, you might find that they will sometimes over look some of the small, petty, and inexpensive fixings on the vehicle. You dont lie very well sir. I guess my experience could have been worse, dealing with things like dishonest car salesman just come with the territory of a small dealership selling used cars.

Comment: The reason why Im giving two stars meh. Ive experienced better. I just purchased a BMW X3 from Auto Republic, beautiful car...looks like no one has ever sat in it. However when I was at the dealer (that I drove 3 hours to because I am not from the area) the sales man started the car for us and we listened to the engine everything sounded good BUT when we turned the car off there was a sound that seemed to come from the engine under the drivers seat...it was a clicking/ grinding sound. We brought it up to the sales man and he claimed to not have heard the sound (maybe he didnt but it was pretty dang loud so Im not sure how he didnt hear it) and we were told that it was nothing.... so we turned it back on and turned off to see if we could make the sound happen again, unfortunately the sound didnt happen again so we thought the sales man was telling us the truth. We ended up buying the car and mistakenly we bought it as is because we took their word for it when we were told it was nothing. As I was driving home and stopped at the gas station the sound happened again, so I did some research.... turns out its the transfer case actuator that is going out, so I did some more research and found out it will cost around $1,200 to have it replaced. After talking to a mechanic we were told this isnt something that just happens over night and the mechanic said that it is very unlikely that the dealership didnt hear it and was probably aware of the problem. So 48 hours after I bought the car I emailed Auto Republic about the problem and not one response, so I sent another email and again no response... I than called and asked to speak with the manager but was told he busy so I explained the problem to the gentleman who answered the phone and he said he would let his manager know and have his manager call me back. I got a call the next morning from the salesman who sold us the car and he admitted I do remember you guys bringing up this problem when you were here so same thing he said he would have to talk to his manager, I still have not heard from the manager ( I have asked to speak to the manager multiple times but every time I was told he busy and would call back.) Very long story short, this problem that we brought up there and was told it was nothing is now going to cost me $1,2000. The least the dealership could do is to offer to pay half of it for it to be fixed OR even just give me a call back to show that they care about their customers but I guess I was expecting too much. OHHH and one last thing, my parents were actually thinking about buying a car from them as well but after this experience they will not be doing business with them.

This is my 6th car and Ive worked in the luxury automotive industry for many many years now so my vehicle and dealership knowledge and expectations are far above the average car buyer. I had a TERRIBLE experience at Glendale Mitsubishi the previous evening. After driving 400 miles, going back and forth with them, and having an awful experience I was exhausted and didnt really want to buy a car. Friday morning I was still in bed and on Auto Trader. Fullerton had just posted the exact vehicle I was looking for, lower miles, and priced perfectly. I contacted them online and honestly was being pretty rude and blunt because I didnt expect anything good after what happened the night before. I was promptly emailed back and the salesman (whos name escapes me...) was SO helpful. He told me before anything he would go drive the car, take pictures of any issues and report back to me his honest opinion so that my time wouldnt be wasted. WOW! I was already impressed. Promptly 20-30min later I got a call back and him stating the car was beautiful and he told me the small flaws he noticed. (im still in bed. 400+ miles from this dealership) Over the rest of that day from the comfort of my home we COMPLETELY worked out a fair deal with my trade and worked out numbers. From the comfort of my own home!Fullerton Auto Square made my car buying experience exceptional. I drove up there at 9pm that night and they had all the numbers set up perfectly, finance all printed out, I drove & inspected the car, they looked at my trade and I was out in 30 MINUTES!!!! No joke. They were AMAZING. Brady was the manager I met when I came in and it just so happened we both were from Seattle and he was just a great guy.Oh one last thing... I took their word and their service departments word that the vehicle was in perfect working order. Im ALWAYS skeptical about this... I ended up moving shortly after back to Seattle and didnt have time to get my own inspection. I just got my first oil change and they inspected the car and everything is like new they told me. New brakes, new tires, EVERYTHING was green!These people are HONEST, HELPFUL, HARD WORKING AND CUSTOMER ORIENTED! That is EXTREMELY hard to find at a used car dealership. I would definitely buy another car from them!

First off...I was having a miserable month so far from losing (uninsured motorist) a previously loved car 2001 Toyota Double Cab 4x4 Limited Edition, pristine condition...and when you are not looking for another car necessarily, it may be extremely hard to pull the trigger to buy a new/used one, especially one that you may really want...I went to several Auto Dealerships (all the big names company around the area) and not only were their sales people a bit sneaky they were only really interested in making a sale (as usually is my experience at these places), not getting me the best deal or a car I really wanted....Well, the folks at the Fullerton Auto Square not only were attentive to all my familys needs...there was no coercing my family and I into a vehicle that I kind of liked...there was no manuvering me into a different price range....they wanted my family and I to get into a car that we wanted and really liked...and that was in our budget...I give an A+++ to all the sales, finance and management staff that helped us and will be recommending this dealership to all my family and friends! They have have a great lot of different cars and trucks.When it came to financing, Jason gave me the best advice even though I personally know it would make him less money.My payments ended up less than I wanted and they threw in a free warranty, and not just any warranty. It was the best type of warranty, 36k miles or 3 years, and it was free!Despite the past reviews, I still visited the lot to check out the cars they had in stock. We tried fixing our 1991 Honda Accord spent $800.00 dollars trying to get it to pass smog, but the NOX levels were way to high, so we sold it to a very good friend of ours, who has a mechanic that would be able to due the repairs as needed. So we did some research for about a week looking at dealership, we saw a couple of cars at Fullerton Auto Square, so we headed on down to Fullerton. The first gentlemen introduced him self as Danny, we asked if we could test drive a couple of cars, so we did. We purchased a car that was more than what we expected. The car was priced better than any of the other ones in the area so I wanted to see it first. I took my BF with me and he drove it too. We both worked with Tim and Salomen there they were very nice Tim was the Sales guy and Sal made sure we were happy and left with the right terms. Easy to get financed and the same rate as our credit union. In the end, we went with their financing because we wanted to use our CU for a 2nd line of credit to redo our kitchen and baths.
