Comment: Whenever I needed support or guidance, AutoPom has always been there to address my concerns, lend an ear, offer recommendations, and stand up for me, regardless of how many instances it required. I have received numerous phone calls from the companys owner on multiple occasions.This organization functions as a middleman, serving as a mediator between the parties involved. They engage in negotiations on behalf of both you and the extended warranty company. Well, that’s what they did for me.Regrettably, there have been multiple cases where extended warranty companies have refused to honor claims submitted by repair facilities. The extended warranty provider declines a portion of the claim, resulting in me having to agree to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars.If its expected to be included, then absolutely not!Every time, I politely call AutoPom and ask if this is covered, or if this is considered ordinary or within the usual range. I have no expertise in mechanics or law. I am familiar with the terms of my contract.There have been instances where I was mistaken. To ensure my complete comprehension, they kindly clarified the specifics by mentioning the possibility of taking my car to an alternate repair shop, and all my other rights. During that period, they went to the extent of assisting me in locating a warranty-covered shop within my town, and towing company.They offer military discounts, cover older cars with high mileage, reward loyalty, and paying off your contract early or in full.I have had two Volkswagens covered through them that both have had over 130k miles and now will be covered with full extended warranties through 250k miles. You won’t find another company that will beat that!

Comment: Signed up after talking w owner at length about how his company was different than others, no games with coverage, etc. Despite reservations, I signed up. Paid premiums on time etc.After nearly a year, finally had a claim involving radiator and low antifreeze. Before bringing to shop, I added antifreeze, drove a few miles. Didn’t solve problem, so brought to shop. Mechanic said I needed a new radiator. Mechanic (whom I’ve used for years) called Autopom’s insurer, who denied claim entirely, even though covered, because I DROVE CAR FOR A FEW MILES TO SEE IF THE LOW ANTIFREEZE WAS THE ISSUE. Mechanic agreed that it was appropriate for me to test that way before bringing to shop.When I called Autopom and spoke again to owner, he first agreed that mechanic and I were right to be concerned. But after he told me that the insurer for whom Autopom had sold me a policy had gone bankrupt and there was a new insurer (which they never previously advised me) and that he had no influence with them, he then said that the issue WASN’T covered by the policy that they sold me.At this point, my worst fears about these policies being scammy were realized. I asked for the policy to be canceled immediately, and he agreed to refund my premiums because I hadn’t made a claim. I received a refund check in the mail soon thereafter, which is why Autopom gets 2 stars rather than 1.Obviously, my recommendation is to AVOID. This experience was the opposite of their representations about “auto peace of mind,” and I feel much better without this “insurance.”

Comment: I took my SUV to a local shop for a repair. The shop had to wait over an hour to speak to someone about the needed repair. I was told by the shop that the extended warranty company wanted to pay them for the shops cost of the parts, and less than their labor rate. When the shop said that wasnt acceptable, the company said theyd ship them the parts. The next day, they the shop called me and said the company cant get the parts, so Ill have to pay for them. I spent over $3,500 for the poli y and now they want me to pay almost $500 to have my car fixed.Dont walk away from this company - RUN!

I did my research on extended warranties as I was buying a 2016 escalade that had only 22k miles back in 2020 and I know electronic failures can be expensive. One of the reasons I picked Autopom was I read a few great reviews about the owner. Here I am in 2023 and I had to make 2 claims at the same time regarding my engine lifters going bad and my navigation unit not working. I called Mike in the beginning really to just ask for advice on submitting a claim and who to go to etc. He warned me that the warranty company would only pay a certain hourly rate and I could get stuck with the rest. All the same, because I felt my issues were serious I went to the dealership. The discrepancy was $40 dollars an hour difference out of pocket. I again called Mike to just see what he thought because I was going to have to come out of pocket for the difference and we spoke a good bit. I called about 6:15 PM right before he was getting ready to head out the door and he heard me out. Told me to send over the repair order when I got it and we left it there. I was out of office all the next day but got a voicemail from the dealer servicing department stating that it looked like the warranty company offered more. Today it dawned on me that Mike might have had something to do with that so I called and I was right. Mike pulled the average hourly rates from that zip code and sent them over to the warranty company and they agreed saving me $600. Mike went above and beyond and this is real service. It seems like you hardly get service from anyone any more. Im not saying Mike is going to pull a rabbit out of a hat but he just might. I cant thank you enough and Im super glad that I bought this extended warranty. I know I could have had the job done cheaper but I chose to go with dealer more for their expertise on the problem. If was something simpler, I would go to a reputable local mechanic.Thanks Mike from Autopom for really looking out for me and going the extra distance. I very much appreciate it! One of the reasons I went through Autopom in the first place because it seemed like they cared!

Comment: We recently brought our car in for a routine 110k service on Aug 4th, during which our mechanic noted a couple of issues, the total cost of which to repair came in at around $3000. The owner of the shop immediately contacted Claims, but was told our warranty had expired. In pulling our contract at home, it stated the expiration date was Aug 5th, not Aug 4th as Claims had indicated.My very first instinct was to contact Mike, the owner at Autopom. A nicer, more down-to-earth, man you couldnt find. I explained our problem in detail, and he, too, verified through his records the same expiration of Aug 5th. Mike and his team worked diligently and tirelessly for days through every level of the Claims arm of the company with one goal in mind-to ensure that they would fully honor the terms of the contract as it was written.And that is precisely what they accomplished. The claim was re-opened, an inspector came to the auto shop and evaluated the car, a report was written and, within 2 days, we received a call from the owner of the shop. Of the roughly $3000 requested, just a shade under $2800 was approved! Thats over 93 pct that we didnt have to come up with out-of-pocket. To say we were elated is a mild understatement! Had it not been for Mikes persistence in trying to do what he knew his customer deserved, none of this would have happened and we would have been much worse off for it financially. We simply cannot thank Mike enough for his efforts as our unwavering advocate in this matter. Mike, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

Comment: I canceled a warranty to get this one because the sales pitch was that good. I brought my vehicle in to get fixed and it took 2 days for someone in claims to answer the phone, only to be told they only use email. My mechanic could not get in contact with anyone. Once contact was made, I was told nothing would be approved unless the car is sitting at the shop. Had it not took 2 days to get someone on the phone this would not have been an issue. So far I am not impressed with this company. Hopefully they make good on their services.Update: the claim was approved and the owner reached out to me to let me know they are working on being able to get through better. Super nice guy and with that said, I would definitely recommend this company for a warranty

None of the maintenance claims for items the policy indicated would be paid once during the contract period were paid. (heck, the guy that sold me the policy was gone 6 months later, which was one of the many reasons given by autopom for my difficulties)while the money I paid in for 7 months *was* refunded by autopom, neither autopom OR Omega (the company I was paired with for claims) did ***anything*** for me, at all..... except cause me grief and leave me without a car and a huge bill at my shop for the teardown.after following all the rules/jumping thru all the hoops (accurate odometer, drive 1K miles, pay my premium, check engine light came on, and I religiously followed what-to-do, heres what the end result was:-----I owed $1400 to the shop for the teardown, and needed to get the vehicle off of their property within 2 weeks-----there were $26,000+ in repairs to be made to the vehicle, thru no fault of my own. the ***only*** covered repairs, according to autopom/Omega, is about $900 for the driveshaftTHAT IS LESS THAN FOUR PERCENT!!!!!! and only half of the repair cost was related to the denied claim. that means for the remaining $13K, the policy would have paid $900. less than a dime per dollar of repairs.-----AutoPOM (and Omega) did ***nothing*** for me, other than refund my money...for doing nothing!!!and when I say nothing....no tow (or offer to tow) to the shop. no offer of rental car reimbursement. heck even right down to even zero alternate suggestions to salvage some sort of value out of my ruined vehicle that they refuse to cover.my synopsis:BUYER BEWARE!!!!regards,-Steve Hagar

Im truly amazed that the agent that called me to give me a quote can get any customers with the sheer level of patronizing, talking down sales pitch that I received. And if he is any indication of what this company is about... wow.A radiator hose goes to the engine!?! An ECM is the cars brain?!? Oh, my poor little girl-brain.When I explained I had experience as an auto technician, specializing in electronic diagnosis he challenged me! That jerk actually asked me where. And not in a curious, how cool is that kind of way. I called him out on his presumptive behavior (seriously, I might not be a dude, but the auto industry wasnt exclusively male in the 90s and its surely not now either.) He didnt apologize. He didnt correct himself. He asked me to hold.Yeah. No.He also never gave me the quote despite asking for the numbers multiple times. Ugh.

From the beginning, Trevor who is in charge of sales was very helpful, informative and seemed more interested in helping me then pushing a sale. So refreshing.Then, the first time I needed to use the car warranty there was some differences in pricing and Colgan in customer service went to bat for me and contacted Royal who I had my policy with. They were always so helpful and did a daily check in with both sides trying to negotiate a better deal. I was so appreciative, but then when we couldn’t get much movement the owner Mike actually took it upon himself and called the supervisor and did some great negotiations. He was able to successfully negotiate a win for me! The adjuster actually told me that it was Mike’s great negotiating skills and the way he presented it that made all the difference! Comment: AUTOPOM REALLY DELIVERS ON THEIR WARRANTIESAlthough we have been very lucky in terms of service on our most recent Range Rovers, we decided to purchase extended warranties just in case we had an issue prior to trading them in for the new model. The search for the most comprehensive and reliable extended warranty though, was not the easiest of tasks given that there were many options in the market. Numerous companies, including some of the largest names on television, promise the most comprehensive policies and hassle free service, but after reading hundreds of reviews, it was clear that many of the companies do not stand behind their guarantees. After a long and exhaustive search and although their reviews were actually great to begin with, we took a leap of faith and selected AutoPom.AutoPom has several different plans, but because Range Rovers are notorious for costly repairs when something does go wrong, we selected the EFG platinum plan, which I was told is as close to the original factory warranty as possible. After a little more than 2 years into extended warranty and despite the fact that my wife’s car is barely ever driven and still only has 26,000 miles on it, we heard a strange noise coming from the engine and therefore decided to send the car in to be checked out. The Range Rover repair facility provided a long list of required repairs totaling just over $18,000 and mentioned that they would contacting AutoPom directly to start the claims process.Because of the huge costs involved, AutoPom sent out an inspector to survey the vehicle and it was the inspector’s expert opinion that the vast majority of the items on the list were unnecessary since most were in perfect working order. I contacted the service department and AutoPom to discuss the discrepancy and quickly realized what might have been going on. Suffice to say, I was furious that the repair shop seemed to be attempting to take advantage of me and the warranty company by running up the cash register with numerous items that appeared to be unnecessary. That issue has already been resolved appropriately.In the end though, there were three or four items that were actually necessary, the total cost of which was approximately $5000. AutoPom covered everything exactly as they promised they would before I purchased their warranty and stood behind their promises without delay or denial. Additionally, the fact that they sent their own inspector out to survey the vehicle before the repairs started served as an important check because had I not had an advocate with them, I could have unfortunately been the victim of a large bill that was almost entirely unnecessary. I wanted to also mention that when the claim started, I had no issues reaching their team and I was even able to speak with the owner of the company who very generously, offered to step in and assist me with the situation.If my memory serves me correctly, I believe the total cost of the warranty was about $3500 for three additional years and it has obviously already paid for itself 1 ½ times over. I could not be happier with the AutoPom guarantee and their very professional, knowledgeable and courteous team who were in my corner looking out for my interests as well, from the moment they were contacted.If you are in need of an extended warranty, you should consider my review of AutoPom as a truly real life and honest firsthand experience of their wonderful company!

Comment: They are the worst warranty company i have ever dealt with! I took my Dodge Charger in to the shop to get the water pump checked out because it was make a loud squealing noise..turns out the bearings were bad and the water pump needed to be replaced. Autopom sent an inspector to the shop and he determined that is was a bad seal so thats all they will pay to replace. Even though the shop showed him the bad pulley bearing he said it still works so they wont replace it. Wow! I have never heard of that! If the water pump goes out while Im driving I risk more damage to the motor that they probably wont pay to fix either.UPDATE: I got a call from the owner (not sure if it was or wasnt) and he was able to clear up the confusion with the adjuster. I was very surprised and pleased with the timeliness of the resolution after I spoke with him. I hope I have a better experience from the get-go next time I need them but am satisfied with the end result.

The issue was not with autopom! in any way, but after contacting Mike, he responded to me immediately and took things into his hands to work with the administrator and get things resolved. Having had issues in the past with extended warranties, I took the time to do significant research, and I ended up calling four different companies for quotes. Right off the bat, I found Autopom to be the most professional and courteous of the lot. The team member, Dacey, was extremely pleasant. No pressure, very friendly, very clear in her explanations, answered all my questions and offered what sounded like the best value for my money. I ended up buying the car on Saturday afternoon, and by the time I was all done it was late afternoon in California where Dacey is based. She answered the phone anyhow, and immediately set me up.Time will tell whether this is as good of a deal as, it seems, but certainly in terms of the initial experience this was outstanding.

I just got off the phone with Alexis to get coverage for the pre-owned Benz my wife just bought. Ive spoken to many warranty companies including the one recommended by the dealer, but this company just seems to be more genuine and credible. The cost for the coverage I purchased today was wayyyyyy more reasonable than similar plans from other companies. The A+ BBB rating is also important because many of the other companies out there have lousy ratings. Great price and overall service.
