Comment: I had a long term rental for the military and the location was right outside base. Alfred was the front desk every time I stopped by and he was extremely accommodating and went out of his way to help me numerous times. Give him a raise!!! I usually don’t have a good experience with rentals but I can’t say that this time. Very very impressed and all the cars are decently maintained and cleaned.

Comment: I rented a car for 4 days. After driving to work and back, I called to exchange cars because the one I had smelled of spoiled air freshener. I called to ask them for another car and the lady was a bit rude, stating that they wouldnt have anything because of an event at the AFB. She did say I could check in the morning. I exchanged it the next day without any problems and the gentleman took care of me in less than 5 minutes and didnt even make a fuss about it.

Comment: When walking into the building the person at the front desk didnt seem happy that I was there and gave and attitude the whole time. if I am being 100% honest it did feel kind of racist because the guy before me got great service and I am a black man. I had some questions about the rental insurance and asked if I could call insurance to see if Im already covered. once I was done with the call she made a snarky remarking by saying your insurance is cheaper. I do have car insurance and so I pay them every month for the service so I did not see a reason why she made that remark. One thing I will say is the car was great and it got us to our destination with no issues.

Comment: Best experience I have ever had at a rental car company. Alfred was extremely nice. Very down to earth. I was able to keep the same car I had. I used an online coupon code that was apparently for Pfizer Corporate Employees?? I got it off a discount website that didnt specify where the code came from. I was so embarrassed that I will never use that site again. Thankfully, Alfred was able to continue the rate I had originally so that I didnt get gouged with a last minute reservation. I was so happy I could have cried. I wanted to hug the man!!! I am so appreciative of this Budget/Avis location. Since a drunk driver hit me and totaled my car......this place has been the only place to give me GOOD NEWS!! Thank you so very much!!!! I dont know where all the bad reviews come from but I was definitely taken care of for sure. Thank You ALFRED!!!!

Comment: The big lady in the front counter is very rude and not helpful. I had a problem with my credit card so I needed to get a new one with the same account number but different card number and I asked her what to do and she just said “i dont know, call your bank or something” and I asked if I can just cancel it and she said yes but we’re not gonna refund you. So I called customer support and they said they can still refund me and just give me a new car rental. Not even 5 mins and it got fixed. Then I went back and I told her that it got fixed and she said “are you not listening to me, were not gonna refund you” and I said oh dont worry customer support already fixed it for you and she just shut her mouth and then she started asking about my address that she said was “Wrong” but that’s the correct address given to me by the DMV.

Comment: The guy is not polite and there is lack of care towards customers. First time i have experienced such an attitude towards the customers in United States. Felt like I am in middle east. Also the car received was not cleaned prior to renting to us and was smelly. I am a presidential club member but unfortunately I was treated rudely.

Comment: Quick return! Be sure to take the time to fill out the millage and gas fill-up on the return paperwork. That will save you the time of having them to go out and check the car. They were surprised I filled out the form. It does save you time. So go prepared to choose to wait, or be on your way. PCM

Which is just a euphemism for how unfriendly and unprofessional we were treated. Comment: The most BAD SERVICE, don’t rent any car here, they charge on your car $150 without notice, and if you don’t ask for, they don’t tell you nothing, also the receipt you get is not the last receipt, make sure get the guy on desk and show, you FILLED THE GAS TANK, because if not a son you get the “LAST RECEIPT” you get a gas charge!! And plus when you call and ask the lady on Phone is an ir respectfull lady!

Comment: The staff at this location is very rude and unprofessional. We had an issue with the car we rented, called Avis customer service who advised we should drop it off with any Avis location for a different vehicle. The lady working seemed annoyed by us telling her this and then took a phone call and proceeded to rent a car to someone over the phone while us, another customer, and a tow truck driver were standing in line. We had forgotten to put gas in the car, so we left to do that, came back, waited while she was rude to someone else, and then she started on our paperwork, with breaks in between to call someone else to talk about a tow truck driver she had ignored earlier who it seems was tired of being ignored so he set out to load the truck he was supposed to tow into his truck. She finally got our paperwork set and did a walk around of the car for damages, she walk away and we got in and the car smelled like someone had been smoking in it and was fairly dirty. She argued when I told her it smelled like smoke and that led to another ordeal of slowly executed paperwork, during which I asked to see the next car first to avoid any of the same issues before she finished the paperwork and was told she had already finished it (not true) and after 10 minutes when she actually finished the paperwork she again refused when I asked to see it before I signed. Thankfully the second car was fine.If you can rent from another location you should.

Comment: On 22 Nov 2017 I returned a three day rental and everything was fine until the guy tried to charge me an extra $160. I tried to explain that he was charging too much and he told me to get out of his shop. He said if I had any problems I should call the one 800 number. I did and they refunded my money and apologize for their representative. This is how one rude unprofessional employee can destroy Business relationships. This guy needs customer service training!

Comment: I applied a groupon to a rental for an economy car for my sons graduation. I was very pleased with discount from groupon as it was a free weekend day. The agent made sure to tell me I was receiving the best discount for rental. The price was affordable and the time given to return the car was adequate ; however, it would be nice if we could leave cars at the Martinez Train Station and not be charged an additional day. Other than that small inconvience it was great service and I would utilize this facility again.

Comment: I recently rented four vehicles for the Travis Air Show and experienced significant issues with billing and taxation. Despite being assured that the vehicles would be tax-exempt due to the Government Purchase Card used for the transaction, I was charged taxes and gas fees upon returning the vehicles.Even after providing all necessary documentation, including our W9 and Tax Exempt Certificate, the manager failed to honor our tax-exempt status. Furthermore, despite one vehicle being driven for under 50 miles, we were unfairly charged for gas on all four vehicles.Attempting to address these issues with the staff proved futile as they showed a blatant disregard for the law and our concerns. As a result, I am now considering legal action to rectify this situation.Overall, this experience was highly disappointing, and I would caution others against renting vehicles from this establishment due to their lack of compliance and professionalism.
