Comment: STAY AWAY from this Avis budget. Go to the Ontario airport to rent a car. I think this is an independently owned rental place using the Avis name and they are completely unprofessional.Avis has always been great to me all over the world but not here in Moreno Valley.Their cars are 4 years old and dirty. They were late getting the car to me. Then they want to scam the insurance and blame me for their old car problems.Buy the full coverage insurance so you dont have to deal with their lies at this place. I am glad I did.Take photos of every inch of the car inside and out if you do rent a car from them. You will thank me later.

Comment: I had a reservation to pick up a car today but I was delayed in picking up my car due to traffic and arrived at the office to be told that they had rented out the car to someone else. No offer to help find another car or anything, they claimed they have a policy that if you don’t pick up your car in one hour they will cancel your reservation, but that is not listed anywhere when you make the reservation.Avoid this business at all costs, just terrible.

Comment: I am a faithful Hertz customer but they weren’t open on Sunday so I decided to go to Avis. It was quick, fast and hassle free. The young lady who took care of everything when I arrived was professional and courteous. Upon return, there was a different young lady and an older man. Everything seemed normal up until I got home and noticed that I was charged a fuel service charge. Thinking back, he handed me the receipt folded in half. Just be careful when it comes to charges at this location. I’m pending a refund for my gas charge at this time. And the car I rented, had an alert for low oil life 48%… I had anxiety hoping that the car wouldn’t overheat or malfunction while I had it.

Comment: This place truly disappointed me. The workers had told me they cleaned the car yet when I approached the vehicle. There was nothing but huge smudges, streaks, and marks around the entire car. The air conditioning wasnt working properly either. Even though the vehicle was a 2021 Honda. The employees were dressed entirely unprofessional, literally in pajamas. This does not encourage work attire in a work place as it should. The workers also didnt come to a solution with me when expressing my frustration. Will definitely not be a returning customer and would never recommend to anyone that I know.

I wrote a review 3 weeks ago and at the time there were no other current reviews. I wrote about how rude Matt was and even came from behind the counter to threaten me.The manager was to call me back and never did.Apparently this place writes fake reviews. After mine all of a sudden there are several reviews praising Matt. What a joke of a place. Reading the reviews they are all very similar. I believe the girls name is Rachel, she is so accommodating, always making sure that the customer is satisfied. Matts Customer Service is superb, friendly, and has such an electrifying smile. He gets you out with satisfaction. The guy Andy, hes so nice and kind, very attentive to the Customers needs. Cars are always clean and the gas tanks are full. Ive noticed when people are waiting in line, Andy continues to correspond with the waiting customers to let them know that hell be with them soon. This location has always made me feel comfortable. As we all know, good customer service is the thing of the past. I recommend this Moreno Valley location. They honestly have the best rates in the surrounding areas. Jan M.

When I went back in and complain (yes I did tell them it was a piece of ****) the associate Matt sarcastically said sorry. When I told him I did not expect a sarcastic response he responded I dont care. I didnt said that was not good customer service and he again said I dont care.Long story short I went back in to complain to the manager who in turn told me she didnt care that he responded to the knee that way he even came around like he wanted to fight me.Poorest customer service Ive ever experienced I would think a Avis would be ashamed to have this location under their name.

Comment: I appreciate the great customer service during pick up and drop offOffered to change from 7 to 8 seat vehicle which was perfect, loved the vehicle a Ford Expedition Limited. My biggest complaint is the tags expired in March. Nobody wants to deal with a car having expired tags abs the chance of being pulled over. That is such an inconvenience. Also during pick up, we discussed turning the vehicle in one day later. It wasn’t re-elected on the invoice, I didn’t catch it, and the office kept calling on the original turn in date. Not too much of a big deal.

Comment: This place is a joke. First of all their address isn’t even up to date on google, they are located inside the mall. It’s a big empty office that looks like it hasn’t been vacuumed in years. The employees have an extremely rude demeanor. I showed up to pick up the rental vehicle that I reserved and they said they couldn’t give it to me because I was 20 minutes late to pick it up due to traffic and not being able to find the location as the address was incorrect on their google ad and the email they sent me. This was my first time ever attempting to rent a car and they made it a terrible experience for me.

Comment: Not professional at all. We booked a car online for Friday, they call us to say it is gonna be available online Saturday, that was absolutely OK. But on Saturday, first we struggle a lot to find the store (its not updated on google, they are inside the mall now), and after when we arrived they tell us that they didnt have any car for us !!! That is so unprofessional, they could have call us to avoid coming for literally NOTHING. Hopefully we didnt pay in advance on the website. I would definitely NOT recommend this place.

Ill mark it as dirty so you dont worry about having to return it clean! this being said after I had to sign a waiver stating that I am expected to return the car clean or be financially penalized. They expected something of me that they didnt have the respect to return in kind. I had to push back for the manager to switch me to a car which had been cleaned up.Returning the car tested my patience; the seemingly new employee needed additional training on computer usage. He, in particular, was friendly but I didnt have extra time to wait around this morning.

Comment: Beware when renting from this location. This is individually owned and their business practices are unethical. We rented a car for 3 days when picking up the car the young male grabbed my paperwork and we walked outside. He walked around the vehicle marked damage on slip handed me the key and asked me to verify that the gas tank was full. Upon confirmation he had me initial the paper and said enjoy your trip.Upon return this man was not present a female took the keys and started the check in process. She left me standing in the lobby and went outside and then returned to tell me that the car was full of pet hair and there was a charge of $250.00. We didnt have any pets in the car, we took the car to Las Vegas and back. I explained that it must have been that way, I didnt look for pet hair and she told me that I was lying because they didnt give it to me that way. I asked to see what she was talking about and she went outside took a picture and wouldnt address me, she kept walking off. She said that I could take the car and vacuum it or else I would have a charge. When I returned from cleaning their vehicle she and her manager where there he took the keys and closed out the agreement, she stood there were her cell phone in my face video recording the incident and telling me that she has all of my financial information and when I asked what her intention is with the video she said she would call the police. Unbelievable customer service, childish behavior and extremely rude. We had to return after reviewing the paperwork because the manager (Indian man with no teeth) charged me a late charge when the car wasnt late. I recommend finding a corporate location or going to Enterprise.

Comment: I really liked that we got the Kia Soul for the compact car. Although it is small, the box style didn’t make it seem like it was a compact car. I will definitely rent this car in the future if Avis still carry it for the compact size. The only negative experience during my rental was the cleanliness of the car. When I checked out car, the interiors were dusty and the floors could’ve used vacuuming. Its definitely a lot cleaner after checking the car back than the pick up.

I recently reserved a car here and when we went to pick it up at 2:30pm, and our pickup wasn’t until 4pm, we were greeted by this older man with missing teeth who was extremely rude from the beginning. We asked questions on how this worked to which he said sarcastically that if I never did this before then I should have been more prepared. Completely uncalled for. Anyway we tried the credit check and I failed which never happens but he was already rude so idk if he even tried the credit check so I told him I will be back I need to get my credit card so I can do it that way. I came back around 3:40pm mind you I had the reservation at 4pm for pick up and I told him I would still be needing this car. Well I came in and a girl answered and she said my reservation was CANCELLED!!!! I needed this car and was in a time crunch and I asked her why and she said that the guy before her cancelled it but did not leave a reason why. And when telling her he situation and how blatantly disrespectful he was she brushed it off like nothing and would not help me any further. Completely useless staff. Luckily I went to ENTERPRISE RENT A CAR and they helped me out with such amazing customer service and understanding and even though they didn’t have the car they still helped me out by calling their sisters store and helped me get a car that day even after their closing hours! Thank God for enterprise.

Comment: Rented car back in May then again Nov.22nd. Everything was just fine,until they were going to upgrade to better car. When I told counterperson I was declining insurance, He asked what kind I had,the name,how much I paid and that theirs was better,so if something happened we should call them not Avis (really) His tone was totally opposite of when first arrived. Since we paid almost 3wks in advance with a debit card.He ran a credit check and said we didnt pass. I have 700 plus credit rating which is not the best, I wasnt buying car,only renting. My declining insurance and their upgrade to better car was not good for them. Fortunately for us we rent cars as a convenience not necessity, So we just took our own vehicle. Its really says a lot about a business that would up end a customers trip. Oh, you can purchase rental ins. Online at $9 a day.

Comment: My first time renting a vehicle for a last minute emergency travel from California to Washington. I pre-paid online for, what I thought was, a decent price for 3.5 days ($104). After thoroughly checking rates with competitors, AVIS was the most feasible. I arrived 15 minutes before my reservation time Friday afternoon and was greeted nicely by an older gentleman who confirmed my reservation and casually handed me the keys to two of their vehicles available for me to go and check out by myself and my sister who accompanied me. This was quite different from past experiences with family members renting cars. They usually do a walk through. However, seeing that there were no issues with either car, I was okay with it. My reservation was for a standard/intermediate vehicle I believe a Ford Fusion however, the gentleman working offer me a intermediate SUV for only an additional $15 for the weekend which i though was pretty sweet. Although, it was just four of us travelling, we opted for the suv since it was more spacious and the additional charge was nothing. I was literally in and out within 10-15 minutes, no hassle. Returned the car as agreed Monday afternoon with no issues and the charges were exactly as explained and agreed. You typically hear many stories of rental car companies and their astronomical charges they assess before and after the care is returned. We paid a total of $175 for the weekend. Split between 4 people, I would say that was extremely fair. Oh and by the way, I opted for AVIS insurance coverage for convenience. I will definitely come back here for any future rental cars. I dont remember the names of the associates however, we rented the car from a nice (Indian, I believe) gentleman and returned the car to his associate a younger (Caucasian) male. Sorry forgot the names but you guys were great!
