Comment: The people at Avis in Vallejo are very good, cordial, polite, helpful, but the promotion Avis company gave us (20% of total charge will go as credit on Amazon) totally sucks - instead of $46.5 Amazon credit they gave only $10.04.

He got us a car when there were only a few left in the whole area and got us out of the office in 15 minutes. Comment: Ah yes, the hidden toll fees. When we rented a car for a daily rental the clerk offered us the all day toll fee of $12.95 and we could cross bridges in the Bay Area 162 times a day if we were so inclined. I refused because we were only going to cross one bridge on our day trip, $7 toll, which he said would be charged to our card later in the week. Come to see the charge of $12.95 on our card for the one toll crossing. After hunting and pecking on the internet and clicking on a pop-up with fine print we see the lovely fee of $5.95 to process the one time toll. Bait and switch!

Comment: Very easy experience and the associate who assisted me was informative, helpful and polite. Extending the rental required me to call, I couldnt do so from the Avis app probably because I initiated the rental from the Uber app (even though the rental had nothing to do with utilizing the Uber platform it was just an option as an Uber customer). I had a slight issue with my billing, a incorrect fee but it was quickly credited at the time of my return. If you are renting with a debit card he was does accept these for payment there is a $200 deposit thats initiated with the total rental fee so beware of that those funds are not available to you until the car is returned. Also it may take about 2 to 3 business days for you to see the total amount that you will charge for the services deducted from your bank account. The car that I had a 2021 Toyota Camry was very nicely equipped, it was clean, and it had wonderful gas mileage as well as plenty of room and I also want to know that I chose the option at $11.99 per day to have the fastpass or the toll service option associated with my rental which gives you the ability to travel all over the bay and pay one fee for bridge toll at $11.99 per day instead of the individual tolls for the bridges which can vary. I will be renting with this particular location to Avis again and if you are looking for a smooth process a quick pick up a quick or drop off and pleasant service I would recommend that you use this location as well.

Comment: Ive been here a few times. The customer service has always been good but they have been sneaky with the charges. On my most recent rental I turned in the car exactly 30 minutes late and was charged a $59 late fee on an $80/day rental. I think is safe to say that if I had turned in the car 30 minutes early I would NOT have received a $59 discount.Lastly, the operator likes to have you sign the vehicle condition form before inspecting the vehicle. I suggest kindly asking him to wait until youve walked the vehicle together. When I do this, he obliges with no problem. Remember, be your own advocate!

The employee behind the counter was a complete Asswhole (I never speak this way, especially on a review, however this is the best way to explain my experience!) Not only that completely Rude. We were in the middle of my reservation and he allowed 3 customers that he has already taken care of interrupt my reservation to the point I was unable to rent a vehicle. This is a major disappointment and I wouldnt recommend this car rental to anyone!

Comment: DO NOT GO HERE! YOU WILL REGRET IT! 1) Staff is DISHONEST -- intentionally snuck the vehicle damage waiver paperwork into the billing paperwork without my inspection of the car 2) Not properly staffed, the manager Sam insists on doing everything himself -- if there is more than 1 person there you will WAIT A VERY LONG TIME for your car 3) Car was dirty there was garbage in the console and could tell that it was not properly wiped down, the exterior back window had stains on it and could not see out of it properly. I had to wipe down the car and clean it myself 4 ) The staff will try to charge you as many fees as possible -- due to the delays and problems as described above the staff still started my rental early and not when the car was actually ready, they then charged me for an extra day. When I said I was going to complain, Sam closed the rental and charged me for an extra day. Judging from the numerous negative 1 and 2 star reviews I know that this is not an isolated incident. AVIS corporate, please close this location! It is doing damage to your brand! I will never rent from AVIS because of this experience!

Comment: Our American traditions teaches us that courteous men allow a woman before a man. Most American men understand this tradition. AVIS foreign women CS personnel seem to put men before women, and see there own people before anyone else no matter whos in line or not. I did not like that. The man stood there while the CS lady argued that I was not first until an American lady (customer) told her the truth, I was first. The foreign man never parted his lips to say... He was was last.If the situation was different, and the man was actually first, I would not have moved my self in front of him. He walked up after me, and saw me standing in line before him. THIS IS NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I believe AVIS counter at the Oakland Metro. Airport can do better than this. This was not mistake. She did not ask: may I help whos next... She called him up ahead of me.

Comment: Dude Charged me 31 dollars for my rental when I dropped it off 5 mins late. When I realized it 9n my card. I told him if you were gonna charge me 31 dollars I might as well kept the car. The rental was 36 dollars a day and he charged me a late 1hr fee which was 31 dollars. Called customer care to complain and my refund.

Comment: This Vallejo Avis is located only 2 miles from the Vallejo Water Shuttle drop off from SF. The car pick up took 5-10 minutes, my rental car was clean on the inside, shiny on the outside, worked well driving in and around Napa Valley for a few days and dropped the car off in less than a minute @ SFO. No complaints, priced lower than competitors.

Comment: Love Avis, disappointed with this location. Cars are dirty, inside and out. Twice had rentals breakdown. Avis does need a better assistance policy for issues not involving a dead car on the road. Try finding assistance in diagnosing an issue and getting it fixed.

Comment: The customer service at Avis is appalling! The supervisor is beyond rude and their customer service on the phone at their 800 number is no better! Let me tell you a little about my experience at Avis on Solano in Vallejo! I rented a car from them on a Saturday afternoon. The lady behind the counter was being very rude to the customers before me. She was rolling her eyes slamming pens snatching paperwork from the customers. All because the time that the supervisor told her to bring the car back was an hour later than the paperwork said. She did not want to be charged an extra day and just wanted the correct time reflected on the paperwork. Now I understand that it is Saturday and you want to go home but this is no way to treat your customers. In addition to being rude she was unprofessional by having HER CHILDREN IN THE OFFICE WHILE SHE WAS WORKING! Obviously she doesnt give her job her full attention when she is at work/daycare. Then I was given a VERY dirty white mustang that could not even go above 80mph!!!! So yeah rent a premium car that is slower than the cheapest car that they have so save your money and get the Camry! Then because i am a medical marijuana patient i was charged $250 because she could smell the marijuana that I keep in my pocket!!! Did I smoke you may ask! NO!! I DID NOT! But some how she still wants to discriminate against me and my medical condition and charge me $250! Not only that but she refused to issue me a receipt! I guess if you are corrupt and put unauthorized charges on a credit card you dont want to leave a paper trail! Yelp should make an option for no stars this is not a business these people are criminals who rob you once they have your credit card number!
