Barnes & Noble in other cities:
I rarely frequent Barnes and Nobles, for several reasons one being I walk in and almost instantly blow my budget... however this location is a great shop, the employees are friendly and helpful. The shop is clean and well maintained, it is also well labeled and they have a fairly large selection of just about anything youre looking for.
Book stores hold a special place with our family and were glad this one is still around. Everyone here is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. One employee recently helped locate a book currently out of print. You pay a bit more but its for the experience just like anywhere else.
I love the way this store is set up. The sections are clearly marked and the aisles are spaced nicely. Sale items are beautifully displayed and well marked. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. Great selection available online and in store. The staff members are great at giving recommendations.
Excellent service and knowledgeable staff. Ive noticed more of a variety of magazines and toys such as LEGOs than at other Barnes and Nobles in the area. My wife has found less books in her favorite sections and Ive seen a very small amount of books in both ths photography and computer sections. The travel and history sections have great selections. The Starbucks inside is huge and a great place to study, etc. Its never very busy when I have gone and wide open spaces so the store feels more spacious than others. Great parking with plenty of handicap parking spaces. Highly recommended store.
My family and I were able to find exactly what we were looking for and then some :) Even when we couldnt find a book, an employee helped us straight away and found it with ease. Checking out was hassle-free as well; I appreciated the womans patience with us as we made several transactions. Always a pleasant experience at this Barnes and Noble!
I want to love this place... I really do. I just cant help feeling bitter resentment when we lost Borders. As for this place, they have just the newest stuff available in the store, but just about everything else can be found on their website which can be delivered to the store or your house. The prices are okay, but they cant beat the eMarkets. Lastly, they have a decent board/card game section, which is fantastic. Normally, these can only be found online or at a local hobby/comic shop, so its nice that a local place has such a decent selection. We do need to support places like this so we dont lose our bookstores, but Im quite aware how difficult this is nowadays.
They have a great selection of books and if its not in stock, they will order it for you. Very helpful staff. Great place to relax and browse and have a Starbucks while youre at it! The membership gives you free shipping and lots of discounts. Its one of the last true bookstores around. I love it!..
People are Very friendly and helpful! I love the Cafe!!! They have so much to choose from! You can grab a magazine and get a coffee w/ a snack, while relaxing in the Cafe. The people working there are super nice!!! There are lots of books for all ages, and even toys to buy for the children. You will have a hard time leaving!
I have been going to this location for years, since I was a young boy. Its my favorite place to explore, to find my next adventure with a book, or to buy up all their records. Great helpful, and FRIENDLY staff, great Cafe service. A great place to jjst relax, shop, and have fun.
Even with COVID 19 restrictions and no seating areas, it’s still a great place to go. I hope everyone supports them and purchase books here. It’s a shame to spend hours there drinking coffee and reading magazines and then go home a buy the same book online for a dollar less. support! These businesses could disappear.
My husband and I love perusing here. We like to get a cup of coffee from the in-house Starbucks and browse. They have a decent selection of table top games, and a well-established, fun kids corner. Personally, I always frequent the craft book section, in search of my next theoretical project that Ill never actually start. If you prefer to browse in the comfort of your own home, they also have a convenient in-store pickup that Ive used before. Finally, not that its super relevant, but when our daughter was born, this was our first outing so we could test all of our baby gear (car seat, stroller, etc) in a relatively easy-going environment. It was a perfect place to do it, and really upped my confidence level.
Im beginning to think this store has some kind of supernatural power to it. I dont need anymore books, but I keep feeling drawn to the place. Even if I have a single specific book in mind, I end up leaving with 4 books. I hear whispers telling me to return to certain shelves that I have scanned over multiple times, only to find something Ive never seen, and Im compelled to buy in fear of it disappearing forever. Im not sure how much more room I have left in my house, but Barnes and Noble is in my head.I know Ill return soon.
In a time when its super easy to just buy books online or digitally, it is essential that a bookstore have excellent service, in order to set themselves apart and bring customers in. This location definitely did. The gentleman working in the kids department talked to my nieces like adults, listened to them, and suggested books for them based on their preferences. We will definitely be back.
I just realized this place was nearby and I’m extremely happy that it is. The employees are great and the cafe is amazing. It’s absolutely fantastic. They have the books I’ve been looking for in paperback. Customer service is phenomenal. If you have a love for reading then I would recommend because it’s quiet in there.
I have been coming to this location since I was little and I absolutely LOVE this place. I am here all the time! What more can you want in a place? Theres books, starbucks, more books, and friendly faces that are willing to help at the drop of a hat! The staff really is incredibly kind and they really do know their stuff about books! I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Id give this place 6 stars if I could!Read on!! 📓📔📒📗📕📘📙📖📚📚📚
Guess its just the way it is these days, but I got a real cold shoulder from a cashier when walking in taking pics and the feeling from what she was saying that I was not welcome to take pictures in the store. I just thought she was so rude about it but whatever you guys got your pictures so...Oh and also the store is amazing theyve even got vinyl in the music department as well as a great selection of art/cult dvds; and the selection of books is just out of this world. Good coffee shop in store also.
Didnt have what I was looking for. Visiting from out of town and had asked a gentleman about price matching specifically with Amazon. I rather give a company where I can physically see a book my business, and the employee very rudly said if we did then we would be out of business. Unnecessary to respond in that manner.
The workers are a little withdrawn from the customers and task too much but I wasnt looking for help so it didnt matter to me that no one acknowledged my existence. The store is clean and the Starbucks peeps are always very nice when I go there. Maybe they should teach the rest of the store employees how to greet someone when passing by them..
I can never go in here and spend the less than $100. Its not because its expensive either, its just because theres so many books and I can never just choose one and leave. They have a wide selection of books for people of all ages and they pretty much have every genre you could ask for. They also have movies, board games and pop culture merchandise. Also, if youd like to get a bite to eat or coffee, theres a Starbucks located inside of the store.
Having been a B&N employee before I can really appreciate the cleanliness of the store, the excellent customer service and efficiency of check out. This store was excellent to visit from start to end and their bathrooms were pristine and well stocked. Im looking forward to another visit.
Barnes and Noble seems to understand what people need in a time where anything can be ordered off the internet. Though prices are a bit high, they have a good selection of games and tabletop gaming materials. They have a decent amount of new vinyl as well, which is welcomed. Overall, prices need to drop for them to remain competitive, but as of now its alright.
Perfect bookstore, great selection of books, games and toys. Nice Starbucks Cafe with lots of comfortable seating. Tons of great board games and collectables as well such as funko, Pokémon, Harry Potter and Lego. Very clean and nice kids area with a stage for kids to put on shows.
I used to think of Barnes & Noble as Borders Boooks & Music 2.0....Thats going back a few years. Ive recently had a renewed interest in reading in addition to different genres of interest. I enjoy reading digital media. However, theres nothing like opening up a brand new book whether paperback or hardcover. Just like vintage vinyl...books will never go out of style. Barnes & Noble provides their customers with the perfect environment which includes endless selections of literature not to mention the coffee bar which is a plus. My recent experience was very positive and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Store is clean. Acknowledged by the staff and helped by the manager.Completely disappointed in the sales process when checking out, Brian tried to sell the B&N member club in the most disrespectful, shady and thieving way. This put me off and I was saddened to know that the store is coaching there employees to do it this way and hurt that many have been scammed by this store in the past if they are not able to comprehend what he/she is selling.Sell the product offer it but dont do it in a way that is dishonest.
Nothing against the store location or appearance itself. Went in to purchase a book that was $12.60 on Barnes & Noble online (in store pick up). They couldn’t match price at the counter - it was $18. Found it on Amazon for $10. Not sure how much longer bookstores are going to be around....
I love a good book store, even ones that are dying and they dont know it. I usually only buy from barnes and noble if I need instant gratification or especially if Im looking for a specific or obscure magazine. I will say, however, that their collected fancy books are fun to add to ones book shelf. The American documents one is especially handsome. The game and graphic novel section are also fun to look through. I still cant believe they are holding on to a hard media section. Do people still buy CDs and movies in stores? Id say ditch the discount membership nonsense, run some in store sales and peacefully fade into internet remember when lists. Its sad to type out, but barnes and noble can avoid the kicking and screaming phase that my beloved Borders had to endure.
My daughter and I went up to for story time to listen to Too Many Carrots on Sat, April 15th and sat patiently waiting on the benches at the stage area where an employee passed us by 2 times and never acknowledged us nor did they ever do story time. Im sorry thete was only one child there for you storyline event but my daughter is worth your time! It is something she looks forward to and you would think being a book store you would relish the chance to spark the love of reading into even just one child! I seriously believe you need to do a better job in the childrens department and you might have a higher turnout at such events! Your staff in the childrens department leaves a lot to be desired. I must add that the gentleman at the front counter who checked us out was very courteous and did a great job with my little one as we made our purchase. We would love to return to storytime, so I am asking you to take this to heart and make it something to at least acknowledge every child within the department. My heart broken that day for my daughter and myself.
This is a big box bookstore of course but it is also a great spot for getting last-minute gifts! I love how its one of the only stores who still Carrie novelty items for special interest folks. It has the ultimate bookstore smell the moment you walk in and the Starbucks in the location has great service and wonderful food! Try the quiche.I rarely have any trouble if at all finding someone to help me find a book or music. I havent bought a CD in probably 10 years but I know right where to go if I happened to need one. Bathrooms are clean and accessible parking is ample.
Do not purchase a Nook from Barnes and Noble. They will only support the product for a certain period of time meaning at some point, long before it breaks or you get tired of it, it will cease to function. Spend the extra cash up front with a superior company like Apple, Amazon, or Google that stands behind and supports their products for the entire life-cycle.
I love barnes and noble. The atmosphere is great and the discounts are amazing.Something not everyone knows: it is a barnes and noble café not a starbucks. Only barnes and noble memberships/ barnes and noble gift cards are accepted not starbucks cards/apps/etc.You can also purchase your items at the cafe. If there is a long line at the main checkout you can go to the cafe.

2022-05-30One of my favorite stops. Unfortunately the day I visited the server was down allowing only cash or credit to be used. Despite that hiccup the ladies at the cash register did a great job applying my membership, and coupons. The shelves were well stocked as well. This store doesn’t seem as large as the one in Northville but I like it as it has its own parking lot.

2020-08-15Ernie was so helpful today as was everyone. The store is laid out beautifully. There is no topic not covered here (classics, religions, fiction and a great childrens area) and with the warm and welcoming coffee ☕ and food shop, it is a great place to relax and purchase books for that new Covid hobby called reading or reading books Ive always wanted to read. Now is that time, and this is that place to peruse and get those books.
