Omg if I could I would give barneys 10 stars. Super nice friendly and welcoming. And the bakery is Outstanding!!. Will be going back.
First day, I was late (9:30 AM) and still AMPLE baked goods! Line moved quickly, and the customer service was outstanding! These people have it together 💕Eat here OFTEN !!!

Following protocols and limiting the number of customers inside the store at one time. Bought a dozen donuts, some cupcakes, flourless cakes, & cheesecake. All were so good. I would give them 5 stars but the prices are a little steep and I was surprised the donut of the week was an upcharge of 70¢ each.

My familys favorite bakery. We almost always leave with a dessert bread and a dozen donuts. This gem, hidden inside a seedy part of Bay City, is authentic and warms the heart. There are a few good bakeries in town, but Barneys Bakery is the best.
Very good donuts. I would give them a 5 but there donuts with iceing on them not that good. Such as there chocolate iceing.
After exiting our vehicle the mixture of aromas drew us to Barneys door and line of waiting customers. Yes we had come to right place. First visit......and so many wonderful items from which to choose. Quiches, sweet pasteries, savory pasteries,breakfast pasteries. We ate our quiches in the park. Tasted awesome!. Next visit will be the cookies!
Glad to see Barneys open again. Its a part of Bay City I have been fond of for many years.Great people and great service.I have been a Fry Cake donut buyer at Barneys for many years it was the best product out there.I was always an ambassador for Barneys Fry cakes! That is no longer the case.I would ask please, go back to the cake donut mix and the double chocolate cake mix that was used by the old owner.It was a far superior product in taste to what I purchased yesterday.I surely would not purchase what I did yesterday again.Wish ya the Best....
Disappointed. Left voice mail about upcoming wedding and interest in cake. No call back. A week later, called spoke to a nice young lady who told us owner was beginning to experiment with layered cakes, took down all my details and advised that owner would call me back the following week. Never heard another word... we moved on to another reputable baker.
Everything tasted good, except the brownie which was poor at best. The largest issue was cost which was exorbitant; six items cost just shy of $24.00. I will only go back if costs go down to a reasonable level. Also note that the portion size of each item was small.
Stopped after work for the first time. It was late, 4:20. Google search said they were open till 5, the open sign was lit, there was someone vacuuming and the door was locked. Maybe another time, maybe not.
It was amazing..clean and inviting. Staff friendly and ready to help you find just what your looking for. The quality and variety of their baked goods is unsurpassed. Ill definitely be back for MORE!!! TRY their quiches and chocolate eclaires!!

The newly re-opened bakery does not disappoint! Ive lived in the south end for the last seven years and was sad when Barneys closed earlier in 2020. Its always a bummer to see a business close and a building sit vacant, especially one that was such a reliable source for quality baked goods. After trying a few things (a spinach danish, a leek and parmesan danish, and two different kinds of donuts) since they re-opened, I was pleasantly surprised. The quality is top notch and I look forward to trying a slice of the quiche for lunch sometime soon. Keep up the good work, guys!
Customer service great. I expected items to taste simular to original Barneys. Quit a let done. No way as good. I cant say I will visit again. Used to go to Barneys once a week before I retired to Ttake donuts to work weelly
Yummy is all I can say about the quiche, I bought the small slice and it was plenty!!! The mini canoli was so delicious and just enough, anymore would have been too much for me to eat. The crossaint was delectable, and smelled like it was dipped in butter, although when I bought it, the bag it came in had water droplets inside, which is indictitive of putting the product in the bag while its still to hot. I will definitely be back, such a delectable crust on that quiche!! Ooh la la.
We picked up a $120 graduation cake for our party.When we removed the box the whole side in theFront was collapsed. It looked horrible and there was no time to replace or fix it. We are extremely disappointed with it. I think my daughter is entitled to a partial refund for this disaster if a cake. I only wish I could post a picture of it.
The show cases were full of appetizing pastry the new owner Jared has got this business looking brand new and tasting better than ever. Thumbs up!

Everything is incredible! The bread, pastries, cookies, fry cakes. You seriously cant go wrong. Everyone is always super friendly and helpful.
The best pastries around and owner and employees that work there which I believe are the owner and family anyway are always amazing! They make personalized cakes that are very delicious. They are a little on the pricey side which is the only reason I gave them four stars instead of 5 because if their prices were a little bit cheaper they would by far get 5 stars because they deserve it!

No frills, no gimmicks, just excellent donuts in the neighborhood. Ordered a birthday cake for my mom and it was excellent. Do yourself a favor and get your favorite baked goods from Barneys.

Ive had all the donuts from Bay City to Flint and Barneys Bakery is hands down the best. They have a great selection of donuts and more. Prices are reasonable as well. If youre looking for the best donut in the tri-cities.

Best bakery around bay city!! They are a very popular polish bakery on the east side of Bay City,Mi. They can make special orders also. And if you want something specific, you better call ahead and order, they sell out fast and by 11am your lucky to get anything your looking for but will find something else you might like though😏👍
This is one of the old fashioned bakeries, a real find these days. They still bake the old-fashioned pastries and breads. The real flavors will have you returning often.My favorite is the pumpernickel bread, made without caraway seed . It is really hard to find, but oh so yummy. Try the raspberry/ cream cheese Danish loaf, an exceptional dessert to top off a company meal for fussy adults!
Everything they make is fantastic. You will pay more than other bakeries in town but well worth it. Try the quiches.
The food itself is good, but the last time I went in, Kensey made me so uncomfortable and unwelcome that Ive decided to just avoid the hassle altogether and start going elsewhere.
About midnight Mondays Barneys Bakery starts cooking. Great smell that blocks the smell of sugar beets. The pasterie are delicious but my favorite is the fresh Italian bread. Friendly staff that greet you with a smile no matter how hot it is. Thank you very much Barneys Bakery.

Ive loved this bakery since I was a young girl stopping at Barneys in the morning before school on my way to the bus station, now that Im an adult I share their good treats with my kid. Well definitely keep going back!

This is a hidden little gem in bay city. Been there for many years! I cant go there too often because im diabetic. Every thing is just llike you remember bakeries of long ago. Pies cakes bread donuts date filled cookies. Can feel my sugar going up just thinking of it!😱

This is the ONLY bakery that makes all of their donuts, breads, and pastrys fresh, from scratch and by hand with recipes passed on for generations. No other bakery in Michigan comes close to Barneys, hands down.

2022-03-01Stopped here on Fat Tuesday to get a dozen paczkis, and so glad I did! Their paczkis are light like a bisquit and full of filling, not greasy at all. They have a nice assortment of baked goods and everyone was super friendly.

2021-08-03Barneys BakeHouse did all my wedding desserts which included specially picked out cupcakes and cheesecake as our cutting cake! Not only were they phenomenally displayed when Jarrid set them up for us, they tasted great, and also kept well in the fridge. The cheesecake was beautiful and everything Ive ever imagined! They literally blew it out of the water!! Would definately recommend for anything in the future! Communication was good between company! See pictures below!

2021-10-30I love that they revived the old Barney’s and put their own spin on it:Custard long Johns-excellentHalloween cut outs-average (look great but taste nothing like the old Barney’s).Pasties-very good (just make sure you use the gravy)Very clean. Nice displays. Friendly staff. Pricy. The best value is buying a dozen of anything. Odd hours because they close before 5p during the week making it hard to get items. Limited street parking.I will return for the long Johns. I wish the local business the best of luck.

2021-10-26Barney’s Bakery had been our “go to” birthday cakes for my kids from the time they were little. The little tea cakes were always the birthday treat for school, dance, or whatever activity my kids were involved in that year. It was only fitting that my daughter would want Barney’s tea cakes for her wedding shower! Thanks for taking care of us in continued Barney’s fashion! They were a hit!

2022-06-22I tell you what. We stopped in randomly off google maps and couldnt decide what to try so we got about 7 things. Every single one of them was DELICIOUS and BETTER THAN THE LAST. Barneys is the best. What a surprise to find a bakery like this just off in the neighborhood.

2022-05-06Not sure who is making the cakes, but something was very off with the ingredients. The frosting tastes horrible and the cake began sinking. The frosting began falling off. The detail work which looks done by an elementary student would have been fine at least if something wasnt horribly wrong with the actual ingredients. They absolutely messed up on the recipe, no doubt as well as not following instructions for the order.My parents ordered it for my sons college graduation. it was supposed to be a white cake, not yellow and a three layer cake. I was literally ill once we attempted to see if it was salvable and learned it was so poorly done to include ingredients. The cake is off balance once we cut in to get a look. 4 layers all of different size. The owner refused to personally call back and address the issues with this monstrous disaster of what they called a professional cake. I do not recommend this business. You can find pictures of the disaster on the review left on their Facebook review page. The offered a partial store credit which obviously my parents are not interested in. The owner has refused to personally address the situation despite their reply.

2022-03-24The no bakes were on the verge of stale. When you only buy one for a special treat, it was disappointing. Im hoping to enjoy the Pastie when I decide to thaw it out and bake it. It sounds delish!
