Called both Basha and Insurance to receive costs of MRI prior to having it done. After MRI Basha charged over 20% more and refused to agree to price quoted. We paid the disputed over-charges 6 months ago and still to this day Basha has a collection company seeking the money and dropping our credit score. Basha sent to collections via their third party not insurance company despite what Basha reply claims. At least the billing company Basha contracted was honest about the errors. Again, no insurance company sent our paid balance to collections.
Had 2:00 pm appointment. Now going on 3:00. When I asked about tardiness, I was told the tech is running behind by 30 minutes. Its not 30 minutes, its an hour. When I suggested that they call patients when they know the tech is running behind so we arent wasting our time, the receptionist flippantly ignored me and turned to do something else. Wont be back. They want me to be considerate of their time but dont give a darn about mine
First off, I never write reviews, so for the sake of me logging into my google account and writing this should show that Basha truly deserves this 1 star review. My advice to anyone looking to use Basha for a service, make sure you know exactly what they are going to charge you before the service!!! My website quoted MRI showed $350 (whole reason why I chose Basha). I was billed almost $700 because they chose to bill my insurance which ended up costing me even more money than if I were to pay out of pocket (even though their website never mentions that those are out of pocket costs and dont reflect insurance). They also pushed my appointment back 2 weeks because they said they wanted to perform an Xray to check for metal in my eye (which I actually really appreciated because they stated that this was covered by Basha). Longer rant short.. Its been over 4 months and multiple phone calls later and Im still fighting them on this charge.Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Absolutely do not go to this place!!! I went in for an MRI for three areas of my spine. It was one appointment with one tech. I got a bill for three separate procedures that had three separate copays. I called several other imaging centers and asked how they would bill for the same procedures and every single one said it would be one copay! DO NOT go here unless you want to be taken advantage of! Wish I could give zero stars.
I wish there were more than 5 stars to give! I am a healthcare professional so, please know that this review is from someone who is really particular. First, they are extremely efficient. Their administrative staff is very organized and friendly. Secondly, the clinical staff explains everything that they will do, step by step. This was important to me because I am BEYOND claustrophobic and in the past, have awakened during the procedure. They have things in place for you and the Anesthesiologist is there at all times. I cannot thank the staff enough and commend them for their professionalism and their caring nature.
These place provides absolutely the worst costumer service. Every time I call, I wait several minutes for someone to answer. They gave me a receipt with no diagnostic information to submit to insurance. When I called to ask for an itemized bill, I got a recording asking for my account. I entered it, they had no record so I waited again for a rep to answer. I was told to call back in 5 days because they won’t have a record until then. You pay $300 when you walk in the door then you’re charged another fee later. If your payment is late- mine was late due to mail service during Covid- they turn it over to a collection agency immediately. Unfortunately this place seems to be the only game in town, I guess you can afford to treat customers poorly when there’s no competition.
Been here several times over the years for MRI, CT scan, and X ray. Same day appointments. Never really crowded, so you are in and out within less than 30-45 minutes. Quick results sent to doctor, usually same day. Had a 10:00 PM MRI appointment (night time) for a family member and Dr. Basha was actually there and came into the waiting room and gave me and another person (waiting for another patient) some bottled water. He gave my family member a chocolate candy bar. Seems like a real nice guy. The place doesnt look like a hospital or something, so it is not intimidating. The workers are pretty nice. If paying cash (no insurance) the prices are VERY reasonable. I would recommend to anyone needing MRI, CT scan, or X ray.
This is my first time coming to Basha diagnostics for my father. I brought my father here today for an MRI We were running pretty behind this morning. When I called and spoke to the receptionist and explain the situation she was so understanding. When I got to The office The receptionist at the desk was very pleasant. I felt very bad for being late, she kept reassuring me it was Okay. I had talked to another receptionist while I was there including the male tech that was doing the MRI for my father they were also very nice. While sitting there filling out paperwork I could hear the girls talking to each other answering phones and talking to other patients. All very professional, Which is hard to find these days especially in the medical field. I myself work in the medical field at a very busy practice with multiple locations dealing with many patients myself. I will be sure to recommend patience to come to Basha to have the experience I did with my father. Thank you ladies and thank you to the Male tech that assisted us today.
I have had many MRI done, this is by far the best one I have ever had done , the atmosphere was so comfortable. The tech was very nice and attentive to meThe procedure was not drawn out and longI am closetrophobic but I felt so comfortable. The music was also great. This is a place I would highly recommend.
My wife needed a MRI , we tried this place for the first time, at appointment time they said we would have to pay up front 300.00 deductible. No warning until we got there, never will come back here ever. No one ever else required that. Take the 1 star and make it 0 stars, stay in your network of hospitals.
My experience at Basha MRI was extremely pleasant. I was taken in on short notice and didnt wait longer then five minutes to be taken back. Serka was able to make all the calls for me to Drs and providers also the lab technicians Jeff and David were very comforting. The facility is very clean and well kept. I never felt uncomfortable one bit. I would highly recommend Basha MRI of Sterling Heights to anyone.
I spoke with Doctor Basha directly and he reviewed our billing issue and took it very seriously and spoke with all parties involved and in a couple of days he had it resolved and called us back to personally let us know he was not please to find this issue happening with the insurance company and ensured it was corrected and would not be happening again. I dont have all of my facts straight in my review and my understanding of what actually happen was off a lot so I deleted it as Im not well versed in medical jargon or insurance claims. Doctor Basha took the time to patiently explain this to me and gave me his personal number to call if I have any further issues. I am very pleased and shocked that Doctor Basha himself took this upon his shoulders to correct. I will personally have all my future scans done here as I know he truly cares about all of his patients. Thank you, Doctor Basha!

I originally called Beaumont to schedule an Xray but they werent very helpful about directions, who to talk to and didnt have appointments (walk ins only). I called Basha and was offered a next day appointment with clear instructions on what I needed to bring and where to go. The staff when I arrived at the sterling heights location was friendly and very helpful with my questions.
I was in desperate need for an MRI of my lower back and I called several places and no one could get me in for about 3 weeks. I called Basha in Sterling Heights and told them how extreme my pain was and they told me to come right in and they would fit me in their schedule. I cant believe how fast they took me in and my doctor called me in 2 hours with the results from my MRI. Love this place, everyone was so nice and sincere. Thank you Basha Diagnostics.-Jerry
I have never, ever dealt with a more unorganized facility in my life. I made multiple phone calls before I went into work trying to handle details and make sure everything I was set. I was told yes, everything was all set and then received multiple phone calls at work about issues. I had to contact insurance and got all that squared away, just to get a phone call 2 days before stating they needed to collect $300 just to put towards a deductible. You couldn’t tell me that the 20 times before when I called the facility? It was a horrible experience and unless you have all day to go back and forth with phone tag and still not get all the correct information, I would look elsewhere.
We scheduled an appointment for abdomen ultrasound couple days in advance and were excited to get it done that soon. To our surprise Basha diagnostics did not take us in because they find out that we didn’t fast prior to ultrasound. No one told us to fast when we scheduled the test, nobody! So we had to reschedule it again for last convenient time. Who should we blame for this mistake and disappointment?
Just recieved a phone call from Dr. Basha about my experience yesterday. It meant alot that he took the time to address the issue. Thank you, Dr Basha.Update 11-19-19I absolutely hate that i have to do it here but I cant get anyones attention otherwise! 6 months ago we had a huge issue with staff professionalism and scheduling. I received call from Dr. Basha himself to address issue. During conversation he said not to worry if my husband had copay form insurance just call office and let them know what we had spoken about and he would take care of balance. Well, Ive called on more than one occasion and It was Never taken care of! I received notice that it is now in collections with a collection company and my husband and I are extremely upset.
Staff was great. I needed an MRI as soon as possible. Beaumont wanted me to wait a long 2 weeks. With the pain I had, that would have been impossible. Basha took me the very next night. Results were faxed to my Doctor within 18 hours!! Wouldnt go anywhere else. They are the best.
Excellent staff, very comfortable and got to meet Dr. Basha, very sweet! Although my doctor office made a mistake on the description of 1 of 2 MRIs (pre-auth), Heather took great care of the situation. Only had 1 MRI this morning, going back in 2 weeks for the other. Michelle, the MRI operator talked to me between tests, after finding out I am clausterphobic. Bless her heart! Only place Ill ever go for my MRIs. Thank you so much ♡
I dont ever leave reviews for doctors or medical offices, but the staff at Basha Diagnostics were so outgoing and friendly that I had to review them. I was nervous before my MRI exam and the receptionists up front and the technician performing my exam made me feel so comfortable. Ive been to several places and never received such great customer service like I did from Basha Diagnostics. Thank you!!!
I called Basha got in right away .Royal Oak office has 2 Mri machines, I was in so much pain the person on the phone said no worries we will get you in today among our facilities we will find appointment for you!Had test done and saw my dr same day . Unfortunately have to have surgery but I was able to speed up the process and hopefully feel better soon. Other places were giving me appt in 3 weeks . Thank you very much Basha !
Well, where to start? I had an appointment at a set time. I showed up 15 minutes early to fill out any necessary paperwork. Then...I sat for about 1.5 hours. I watched as other patients walked in and were taken before me. Ok...maybe thats because they were having different tests on different MRI units! Nope.A lady walked in about a half of an hour after me and was taken immediately in. She was in the EXACT unit I was going to be in. Maybe she was late or maybe she didnt want to wait. Just the same this was going to bother me. Why did I make an appointment if somebody was going to go in well before me even though she was extremely late.I called to get an answer but its hard to talk to somebody at Basha who is on the defensive without actually hearing me. So to sum it up..If you dont mind giggling girls and waiting for over an hour to get an MRI that the tech has to ask you twice exactly what are we doing, then Basha Diagnostics ..19 and Schoenherr is your place!
Absolutely horrible place! First appointment they only did mri of my foot. My doctor ordered ankle. So 2 days later I go for ankle and the guy tries to make me hop across the room without my crutches. He doesnt offer me a hand or anything. I fell to the ground. Then he says oh do you need a wheelchair. I said why didnt u ask me that before I fell? His response I didnt know you couldnt walk. Ummm I use crutches and I wear one shoe obviously I cant walk! Both days were different people so its not even just one bad employee. I will NEVER go back or recommend this place.
Staff was VERY helpful and friendly. Filled out a short form and was taken back right away.Regarding the Sterling Heights facility, it did appear to be extremely outdated compared to the Basha Royal oak location that I previewed online at YouTube.Regarding the MRI machine and my experience first of all, I am an EXTREMELY claustrophobic person and that is why I booked my appointment for Basha as heard a commercial about Basha having an open MRI. In all reality, the machine is just like a regular MRI; however, the opening of the hole has an extra 10cm wide circumference and the tube isn’t as long. After seeing that video online I thought to myself, “It is what is and I just have to deal with it.” When the MRI tech took me back to the machine, I asked him what happens If I freak out? He said he would stop the procedure and I would have to reschedule. Again, the tech was very helpful and answered all of my questions. Next, he prepared the table and placed me on it. Instantly, my heart started pounding.I needed an MRI on my left knee due to a sports injury that occurred on 8 days prior to MRI. I have had very bad pain from my lower left back down to my left foot. The knee was visibly swollen as well. After I was placed on the table my left knee was clamped down into a straight position (which was an unnatural position for me to hold due to my injury and current pain level). Since I am EXTREMELY claustrophobic, being clamped down greatly added to my anxiety. I tried to clear my mind and the tech did a good job comforting me by stating that my head would still be sticking out of the tube during the entire procedure and that I could squeeze the ball if I was stressed (I think that was the panic button to abort). The tech also provided me with headphones to listen to music and offered me my choice of music on Pandora. I asked him how long the MRI would last and he stated approximately 20 mins. So, into the machine I went. I had a little relief knowing my head was sticking out; however, when you are EXTREMELY claustrophobic like me there is still that feeling of being trapped and confined, especially when you have a limb clamped in. Then there is the noise of the machine. It’s a very loud jack hammering noise that comes and goes during different stages of the imaging. Despite the headphones you will still hear the noise. Throughout the entire procedure, I kept on thinking to myself “I need to get through 5 or 6 songs and it should be over.” I did everything I could to stay still as directed before entering the machine; however, I could feel my clamped in injured leg pulsing with pain from the very beginning to the end. I continuously relied on various methods to calm myself (i.e. meditation breathing, happy thoughts, thinking of loved ones, singing to the music in my head, etc.). My leg keep pulsing and I was stressed the entire time knowing that if it moves they may have to redo all or portions of the testing and prolong my suffering.I ended up making it to the end of the test. Nothing like the feeling of being done, getting my leg out of that unnatural position, and getting out of the tube. It took me a minute to get off the table because my leg was throbbing and stiff from being in that position.Suggestions:1) Update the decor at this location because your clients and staff deserve it.2) Ask clients their pain level and adjust.3) if the patient indicates claustrophobic on the sign in form, offer them sedation.4) Calling it Open MRI is misleading.5) Wide Open MRI may be a better choice if you are EXTREMELY claustrophobic like me. The Hitachi OASIS looks like it would offer a greater degree of comfort for those with EXTREME claustrophobia. It looks like there are facilities in the area that have these machines but the test may take longer to complete so way the pros and cons.If you are not EXTREMELY claustrophobic, I would recommend coming here because the staff was great!
Had apt at 3:30 got there early even. Was only me an another person. Got x rays took over an hr get those done back in the room then over 2.5-3hrs to finally get mri done. Now i could understand was busy but was only 2 people. I overheard many of employees just goofing around id say if have time goof off couldnt you be working getting people out quicker in a timely manner. Very unprofessional i can see why only have 3.5 in star rating.
So much better than my MRI at Henry Ford. Friendly staff, clean facility, and accommodating to your needs and schedule. Their machine puts you in feet first so your head is right at the edge of the outside, which helps with claustrophobia. They give you a leg wedge to help with pain laying flat on your back. And they even had headphones with your a choice of pandora music. I will only ever have my scans done at Basha Diagnostics!!!
Very modern technology and friendly staff. My doc said the medical report was very detailed and well done. I needed an emergency appointment and it only took me 48 hours to get an appointment! (Beaumont Hospital of Troy needed 2 weeks!) Only downside is that I had to wait 30 minutes for my appointment but I understood it was because my appointment was squeezed in due to my emergency medical situation. Thanks Basha!
The Basha MRI center in Sterling Heights was a WOMDERFUL place to get my MRI done. They were able to get me in very quickly (a Sunday morning at that), were extremely friendly and welcoming.DENADA and the MRI technician KRIS were very thorough in explanations of the procedures and paperwork, thoughtful (as I was a bit anxious), kind, and very professional. I HIGHLY recommend Basha. FIVE STARS TO KRIS and DENADA AS WELL. GO TO BASHA! You won’t be disappointed!
Had calcium scoring test. Technician scrubbed my skin with a small green scrubbie sponge prior to affixing the ekg leads. It was painful and excessive. Have had several ekgs in my life. No one has ever scrubbed my skin with what felt like sandpaper to make the leads stick. She claimed she gets a much better read if she scrubs the skin first. It honestly felt like torture. No way they teach that technique in school. Not sure the scrubbie was even sanitary to start with. Had rash marks on my skin 7hrs later. Otherwise it was clean and prompt. Perhaps let the patient know before you scrub them with an abrasive item and check their comfort level. Seemed excessive. Just a suggestion. Perhaps I’m just more sensitive than someone else but I found it painful.
The staff is very friendly and the technicians doing the MRIs are good with the patients. I would come back for sure. The place is very clean and I was able to get in right away. They dont make u wait at all. Awesome place for scans. I will tell everyone I know about this place. This is my second coming here.
The one star is too much for this commercial weird screening center, however!!! They don’t care about patients health priorities they just want you to pay more and more , my doctor sent them a prescription for diagnostic mammogram and I paid them cash but they insist to do the normal screening for me despite my desire on diagnostic mammogram,,,, today they send me the report that make anyone feel uncomfortable!!! In such way they ask me to do the diagnostic mammogram!!!!! All this for getting more money from patients, in addition to waiting time,,, my appointment was at 10 and I get to the screening room at 11.45 am ,,,, the worst screening experience, don’t recommend this center for anyone.
They call several times before your visit to tell you what your deductible will be. It was 150$ for us. This is the charge for the office visit only. And then there is still another price for the actual Mri. They are not upfront about this. And I have never had to pay so much for an office visit. Will definitely be looking at other companies next time. Just know that what they tell you youll pay is not all that youll pay.
Friendly office staff greet you then you go into the testing area where caring & knowledgeable technicians doing your tests, and finally expertise Drs read your scans. My only complaint is there is no answering machine listing the hours of operation, fax number, & address. But thats what the internet is for, I guess. 🤷

2022-02-12I had read the negative reviews and still decided to go to the Sterling Heights location rather than the Royal Oak location. I walk in and there was no formal greeting. They asked me for my script which I did not have. I expected the doctors office to send it to them. I had to reschedule. It would have been professional of them to have asked me to bring it with me since they did not have the script on file. They are so unorganized. Such a disappointment that I had lost 1and a half hour of my personal time. I also blame myself because I put too much faith in people doing their job well.

2022-02-10They were so accommodating to me being in an electric wheelchair. I was late for my appointment because of the Bus and they were okay with it. So helpful to get me into a manual wheelchair safe for the mri room and then onto the machine. Front desk was great too. Thank you everyone!!

2022-04-14My appointment was at 9:30 pm. Jasmina immediately greeted me, and assisted me with emailing my script over because I forgot to bring it. As I was handing my phone to her so she could process the email, it slipped out of my hand and spilt her coffee all over her. She immediately cleaned my phone, before worrying about herself. On a more positive note, shes polite, professional and a pleasant to deal with. Her smile goes a long way too. If I owned a business, I would definitely steal her from you no matter what the costs!

2022-07-09My second interaction with Basha Diagnostics this year. First time was the Royal Oak location and today was the 19 Mile office. Both visits resulted in tremendously kind/courteous office staff followed by exemplary technicians being smart, professional and kind. Prompt service both times. Clean offices throughout.

2022-05-17The waiting room is very warm and stuffy. There were no magazines to read on the tables. The kind staff are reluctant to wear their masks around visitors 😷 and only put them on when you stare at them. Please ask them to slow down their speech so the hearing impaired can understand. (They speak fast and unintelligibly)

2022-06-01In reading the other 1 Star reviews listed here, I can see that I am not alone in my complaints. Patient BEWARE - they WILL charge you more than you are quoted for if they can. This place is clearly full of swindlers who will penny pinch you for any random charge they can think of. I waited an additional 4 weeks for my MRI to have a Saturday appointment which I was told would save me $30. What they failed to tell me was that $30 credit does not apply if you pay through your insurance. They encouraged me to bill through my insurance (I saw other reviews with this same issue) which ended up costing me more than if I payed out of pocket. When I called the billing department to discuss the missing $30 Saturday appointment credit I was transferred to a very rude man who clearly had no respect for women as he spent the whole time on the phone yelling at me and calling me LADY. They said that they would review my account to remove the $30 Saturday credit, but what they did was send my account to collections. Shame on them, completely unprofessional and unethical. I repeat, PATIENT BEWARE, THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT RUNNING A RESPECTABLE AND HONEST BUSINESS*EDIT to respond to the reply made on my review*My complaint is not baseless. Baseless means without foundation in fact. Here are some FACTS regarding my experienceFACT: Basha scheduled me for a weekend appointment knowing that I had insurance under the guise that it would be cheaper for me. That is the reason that I decided to wait several extra weeks to have my testing doneFACT: I did call the billing department to discuss my issue. I was met by an incredibly rude man who after speaking to me with disrespect, told me that I would receive an adjusted bill to reflect the weekend discounted rate.FACT: The next communication that I received was from a collection agency for the full amount, not the weekend discounted rate.FACT: I am not even close to the only person to have made practically identical complaints/reviews for this company.OPINION: This company has no regard for their patients and have low integrity as shown by their numerous 1 star reviews from other patients who have shared the same experience as I have. This is also clear in Bashas response to my review. Rather than taking a look at what the problem may be internally (educating their employees to fully inform patients of what their overall cost will be), they would take the low road and blame the dissatisfied customer.I hope my review will help motivate other potential patients do their research and make sure they fully understand what kind of people they will be working with if they choose Basha Diagnostics.

2022-03-16Some reason they charged an extra $100.⁰⁰.Checked my insurance BCBS so I called Basha back and person said, Oh, check is here and was planning to send it but of course there must be a service fee because they sent only $98 back. Im betting had I not called, there wouldnt have been a reimbursement. I also agree with the other 1 star reviews as far as lack of common courtesy.

2022-05-31Excellent service and personnel . Needed an emergency ultrasound done and they fit me in the schedule. Also went above and beyond to get insurance approval and provided results asap. Greatly appreciated how kind and understanding they all were!

2022-03-30I informed them that I wanted the open MRI...Not knowing any better I was put in a traditional MRI and was told it was open. The technician told me they dont make open MRIs any longer!..I should have checked out the photos on the website before agreeing because it was intensely claustrophobic, one of the things I wanted to avoid!

2022-02-16The front desk is costing this place business. They’re extremely rude and when calling to schedule an appointment at 3 pm they told me they were closing early and i couldn’t make my appointment till Monday. I work in a medical office and I would never unwelcome business like that. Making my appointment would’ve taken 2 minutes and made this place a good amount of money for it. Now I’ll be going somewhere else.**EDIT for clarity** I did not call for a “walk in appointment” I called to simply get myself scheduled for a day in the future and was refused to even get on the book for ANOTHER DAY. **Take note of literally all of the replies on the rather large amount of negative reviews. ZERO accountability. They literally do not care about you as a person. They have every excuse in the book. I’m personally disgusted with this business and their lack of professionalism. **
