Incredibly unprofessional. I call in a perscription monthly (for at least 6 months) and have never requested it to be sent to the island, my SO always picks it up for me because I dont get off until after close. They sent my perscription to the island and laughed at my SO when he came to pick it up. I called to find out why it was sent over and I got well cant he just come back and pick up a new one. (No he left for work in petoskey.) And Well what do you want me to do about it? The answer? Do youre job correctly or dont work with peoples medicine.
I liked the little sign that said please finish your phone call before approaching the register. As someone who works in retail, I endorse that. The women told us exactly where to find what we needed.
Staff seem rather besides themselves; phones not working right, computer down, busy....not very helpful, patient, or willing to listen. More like WalMart than a small town pharmacy.
We came in while on vacation and the staff was super friendly and helpful! They were able to give us a few recommendations of places to go around town that worked out great too!

Workers are not helpful. Wont let you try something on. Then after you try it on in the parking lot, they will not accept the return. Quite a policy! Avoid.
Customer service is kinda slow. When you have to tell them how to do there job, then there is a problem.
Local pharmacy, but some prescriptions are limited, call ahead.

2022-06-25Every time I have needed a prescription filled or needed an OTC item, I have been taken care of by the staff. They have an array of products ranging from Tylenol to toothpaste to greeting cards, and never hesitate to transfer prescriptions or argue with insurance companies upon your behalf. Cannot recommend a better pharmacy for customer service.

2022-06-25Had a great experience with Bay Pharmacy recently. Small town business with a friendly staff. The staff was welcoming and friendly with me while in the store. I have utilized the pharmacy for a while now and just found out they now sell wine and beer!

2022-06-23DO NOT GO HERE. I am writing this to hopefully convince other people to find a different pharmacy. The owner of this pharmacy is aware of the problem and uses her position to harass sick people. I called and asked about a prescription and when it became clear that they would not have it ready that day they started laughing at me . I could not believe that they would laugh at me when this medication can cause seizures or brain zaps if stopped suddenly. When I asked why they were laughing they tried to gaslight me but when I went in they they pretty much said that they did the best they could and that it was a confusing situation. I asked who was laughing at me on the phone and it turns out one of them was the owner. All their names are Paula, Elizabeth, and Clair (one of these is the owner). Before writing my review I looked at others and saw that other people had the same problem as me proving that this was not an accident but instead a pattern of behavior. A pharmacy is there to help sick people but if you are gonna laugh at them then you should not have a job. the owner is part of the problem so I dont expect anything to change but I do hope I can save some people the trouble of going there.

2021-07-22I was traveling from the West Coast when I realized I forgot some important medications. I wasnt able to reach my doctors office, and the Bay pharmacy team took the initiative to reach out to my home pharmacy. Thy had the refills on file forwarded on the spot. The pharmacy staff was absolutely fantastic in proactively trying to help me solve my problem.

2021-11-24I forgot one of my sons meds at home that was four hours away. Bay Pharmacy called my local pharmacy and were able to get it transferred so I could pick it up. So thankful for them!

2019-06-18On vacation with my elderly grandma and stopped to buy her a knee brace which was too small. Went back the very next day to exchange it, with the original package and receipt and was told they don’t do exchanges. This was not a cheap brace. After some rudeness on their part and going over the brace with a fine tooth comb, they did agree to the exchange.

2017-08-19We were on vacation from out of town and one of our kids got an ear infection. I brought the insurance card but forgot about the prescription card. The lady was so patient with me and called insurance for me when it was my fault I forgot it. Also while I was waiting another couple from out of town were there and they didnt have their medicine in stock so the girl was nice enough to call other pharmacies that would be on their route north. I thought the staff was very kind.

2016-11-04Just spent 25 dollars on the ferry to pick up a prescription from the island because the order missed the previous boat and they arent open on weekends. When I finally got there I encountered rude service. Less than satisfactory for someone in pain or sick. They know theyre the only Pharmacy in town.

2021-08-20It is a small pharmacy, but if you actually want/need pharmacy items --- medications, first aid supplies, etc -- they have it. Helpful and friendly.
