They removed my child from the waiting list after waiting for 9 months and refused to put the child back. I don’t recommend such places.

This facility has changed our lives! So thankful for the friendly, supportive and knowledgeable staff. We have been active there for 1 year and have seen several different therapist. We have been happy with them all!Although there is a long wait to get in, it is 100% WORTH IT! It can be discouraging but there is a wait list for a reason. This place is truly incredible. You wont regret it!From the services provided to their accommodations for many varieties of developmental disabilities, disorders and diagnoses. If my son was leaving this review he would say that they have THE BEST TOYS! 😊

This place is amazing. Everyone is so nice,I’ve always liked it and they’ve always helped so much but something the other day just really stood out, i was asked how things are going and my family has just had the most rough December and I just ended up venting just to vent not expecting a thing I just needed to vent to another adult well she leaves and comes back with Christmas gifts for my children a ton of nice gifts and also a turkey and some food I was beyond grateful as were my children this brought me to tears I will forever be grateful for this. Amazing.

This center is great for children with needs, especially because they offer services like occupational therapy, speech therapy, and ABA. However, I’m bummed that they don’t take military insurance - but they were thankfully able to work it out for occupational therapy for us. My son needed occupational therapy for a feeding disorder related to him having autism and our therapist, Amanda, was terrific! She was very helpful and provided lots of tips for us to do at home. My son was kind of resistant during the sessions and she was great at handling his temper. We actually no longer need occupational therapy services. Despite the great experience, I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars because of what I witnessed in the waiting room today before our last session.A lot of times, you will see ABA technicians walking kids in and out of multiple doors throughout the waiting room. One technician today came out with a young boy and he was being a little difficult, including sitting on the floor and not going in the direction the technician wanted. The technician decided to lift him off the floor multiple times, including completely picking him up twice by one of his arms. I previously was a technician at an ABA center for autism and know first-hand that is not how technicians should physically interact with kids. You NEVER pick a kid up unless it is required for safety. There are other ways of dealing with a kid who does not want to comply and blocking them from going in the wrong direction, such as assisted walking. On top of that, you should NEVER pick a child up by holding onto just one arm to lift the child completely off the ground; for the obvious risk of accidentally injuring the child.Although the technician was not rough or aggressive, her method of handling the child was inappropriate and risked injuring the child; if his arm pulled the wrong way when she used it to lift the rest of his body weight off the ground. I told our therapist about the incident and she said she would tell her manager, and contact me if I needed to call someone to provide a statement. I will follow up if I don’t hear back soon because the technician’s interaction with the child was unacceptable for someone providing professional care and therapeutic services.Otherwise, it’s a great facility and the receptionists are helpful and friendly! I would of used them for speech and ABA for my son if they would have taken military insurance.UPDATE: I was contacted to provide a statement of what I saw, and was informed the supervisor did watch the security footage. She assured me that was not they conduct business and the situation will be taken care of.

I highly recommend this facility to any child in need of therapy. The staff is very friendly. I had therapy for my daughter, and experienced different therapists. And have nothing but good things to say about them all. They were all so knowledgeable at what they do, and accomadate to your childs needs. Stacy and Mary, in particular, have been nothing but wonderful therapists and my daughter loves them!

We absolutely adore our sons Physical Therapist, Ms. Sandy. She is very thorough and its obvious that she loves her job. All of the staff at the Center for Exceptional Families take great pride in their work and a vested interest in the children they help. We are grateful to have such an excellent resource in our area!
