We worked with Mike at Bekins for the appliances for our kitchen. Every step of the way they were extremely helpful and responsive, even when we had an issue with a missing part. The delivery service was always on time and reliable! We would recommend Bekins to anyone!
I ordered my oven by phone, so I have no experience with the showroom. But Ill say the installation team (Devin and Derek) were amazing. They could not have been more helpful and professional. They rolled out a literal red carpet to bring the oven into the house. And they even showed me how to use some of the features! I was totally impressed.
I have been working with Erika M. on appliances for a home we are building. She has been extremely helpful by demonstrating enormous amounts of knowledge across several brands. There are so many great options available, along with certain promotions, and Erika has been incredibly patient as she helps me determine the best appliances to meet our needs. I highly recommend working with the knowledgeable and kind professionals at Bekins!

Had my matching LG dryer delivered today! The guys, Derek & Devin were AMAZING and were so respectful of our home! They literally rolled out RED CARPET service and did all they could to get the dryer in place. They did it despite not realizing they were here to do a removal of the old one. They were happy to do whatever it took. They left giving me a red rose and I gave them homemade fresh baked chocolate chip cookies that were baking while they were installing.. 😆 I would highly recommend Bekkins for appliance needs. We purchased all new appliances for our Kitchen with Erika Merkel and we couldnt be happier with the service we received. The installers were prompt, courteous and very clean. Not only was the process of picking my washer and dryer easy, the timeline and install was exactly what promised! My wife was given a run through of the machine when I was working, and I even received a follow up email from Bekins to make sure MY questions were answered. We have bought past appliances through big box stores always assuming it would be the easiest and best prices. And weve always been disappointed in the long run with the experience and the service. We went to Bekins this year to buy kitchen appliances for our remodel after a recommendation and we were so happy with every single minute. Cheryl was so knowledgable about the products and demonstrated everything to us. The showroom is amazing. They called many times to check on the process of our remodel so we could make sure scheduling delivery would be timed perfectly. The delivery/installers were super efficient and got the appliances into our 120 year old home without a hitch. We had the best customer service experience overall and the product selection was amazing. Highly recommend!!
My husband and I had an amazing experience using Bekins. Even though our dishwasher was back ordered from the manufacturer (not at all Bekins’ fault) they were so kind and kept us with constant status updates. They even installed it earlier than expected! They were extremely professional, were in and out installing quickly, and left us with a rose for our business. Such an awesome business and the only place we will purchase appliances going forward. Don’t go with the big box stores. SHOP LOCAL! Our Grand Rapids businesses need us just like we need them :)
From the first time we visited the store until the time our appliances were installed, we had the most wonderful experience!! Ethan Donovan could not have been more helpful, the people that scheduled the delivery, the guys that did the install - EVERYONE was amazing. We purchased our appliances at Bekins around 15 years ago when they were a small shop in Grand Haven. We have never regretted our decision. Maintenance is everything, and over those 15 years, we have had the Bekins service men in here many times. They are awesome! Professional, courteous and tidy. They place a quilted mat on the floor - always - to protect your flooring and cabinets. They take their shoes off at the door to insure there is no tracking. Theyre clear about their plans for service and often, they teach me ways in which I can avoid future service calls. Chad is the best! Weve had Ray and he is equally as knowledgeable.
Our family was scrambling to replace our refrigerator after it unexpectedly died and couldnt be repaired. We looked at big box stores and a few local appliance shops and nobody could support us on short notice due to inventory shortages and supply chain challenges. We reached out to Bekins and not only did they have a great supply of inventory, they were able to deliver and install our new refrigerator the next day! From the team members we interacted with to the showroom and installation experience, the entire process was phenomenal and well definitely be doing business with Bekins again.
Great, locally owned company. From start to finish Erika Merkel was excellent at communication, walking us through our options and different appliance features & making what can be stressful an enjoyable experience. We were also impressed with the installation team and the care they took to protect our hardwood flooring. Would highly recommend for anyone searching for new appliances!
Exceptional doesnt even begin to describe the amazing customer service experience that I had with Cheryl at Bekins. This was my first experience working with Bekins after a recommendation from a friend and I will never go anywhere else for appliances. Our washer died on a Friday, I walked into Bekins on Monday, they called me to setup delivery on Tuesday and by Friday our new washer was delivered. Cheryl took her time with me, answered every question that I had since I was going back and forth between front load and top load. She was a joy to work with and being able to drink a beer on tap was a nice touch to the experience. Too many companies have lost their touch with good customer service skills these days...but not Bekins!! I came home and told my husband that he definitely missed out by sending me alone. Honestly the best customer service experience that I have ever had!!The delivery guys were great, they called and asked to come early. I was packing up to go out of town while they were there so I didnt spend much time with them but very nice, respectable guys. They left a personalized note and a rose. That might seem like a small thing to some people but I definitely appreciate the attention to detail and the companys appreciation for their customers.
Exceptional follow through. I wanted a specific model of dishwasher that was on backorder. Bekins proactively updated me every month on the status and checked to make sure I wanted to continue to wait for the product. As soon as they were certain it would arrive they set up a delivery and installation appointment that was convenient for me (and the installers arrived and finished the job all within their scheduled 1 hour appointment). Wow!
Start to finish, my washer/dryer purchase took 3 days! I had great customer service by telephone with Ethan, and then because of a cancellation, I was able to have my unit installed 2 days later. All the work was done well, and we love our new LG washer/dryer stack. Couldnt be happier!
My first personal purchase for my own home ( I am a professional kitchen designer) was for a LG washer/dryer. They had to order it and every step of the process was flawless. The salesman was great, follow-up communication was appreciated, the installers were fast and efficient. They cleaned up and hauled the old one away!
This was our first time visiting Bekins and we are glad we did. Everything was great. The store had great merchandise displays, the sales team was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We were kept well informed as to the status and delivery timing. On installation day, the team arrived as scheduled, answered any questions, did a great installation and ensured any mess was cleaned up.
I needed to replace a refrigerator quickly. I was amazed to find the unit I wanted in stock at Bekins with next day delivery capability. And the price was very competitive. Bekins is a great company. Needed new dishwashers and a replacement built in ice machine. Bekins was responsive, helpful and just so focused on customer service, I cannot compliment them enough. They make an appointment to show up at your house, and they’re there on-the-dot. They are super efficient, communicative and transparent. Their prices are surprisingly about the same as Amazon, but they stand behind their products and are on time, with the install done right. My sales person was Jeff, and he’s top notch. I’ll go back to Bekins for all my appliance needs from here on out. Fantastic experience.
We purchased several appliances from Bekins 2 years ago. There were some minor complications when our salesman resigned shortly after our order was placed, but we worked through it with them. Our Jenn Air refrigerator proved to be a test of Bekins and Jenn Airs commitment to customer satisfaction. I think it may have been built on Super Bowl Monday. We had multiple issues with it. Each time the Bekins team would provide great service. In the end Jenn Air and Bekins replaced the entire unit at no charge to us. We were very impressed to find not one, but two companies who were both willing to stand behind their products so strongly. We highly recommend Bekins and Jenn Air.
When my dryer broke down recently I decided to take the plunge and purchase a new washer and dryer. In the middle of a pandemic I didnt know how I could safely do it, but I did research and wound up calling Bekins based on their reviews. Jeff was so helpful and helped me choose based on my needs and concerns. I had them installed within a few days. The installers were on time, professional, and removed my old washer and dryer and install the new ones without incident and in record time. I would highly recommend Bekins to anyone looking to purchase an appliance, and I will be calling them when I am ready to replace my kitchen appliances.
I purchased a Bosch 800 Dishwasher last week and had a wonderful experience with Bekins! The sales team did such a great job answering my questions over chat and the phone. I felt so confident I purchased the dishwasher without ever stepping foot in the store. The dishwasher was delivered the next day! Excellent job!
Best appliance purchasing experience Ive ever had. The whole store was beautiful and each employee was very professional the minute we walked in the door. Bekins offers a great selection, prices that fit all incomes, and they service everything they sell. Our salesman, Shane, was very helpful and not pushy. He made recommendations based on what we needed. This business caters to the customer. Its the first store in a long time that we felt truly valued. I know it ages me, but its the way stores and businesses used to be! The installation process was awesome - they call with a delivery window - 30 minutes not 4 hours! They arrived on time and cleaned up after they finished. Will recommend Bekins to all friends and will return when I need more appliances. Grade A+
Excellent sales and installation personnel. We recently purchased a dishwasher from Bekins. We arrived at the showroom with a specific model in mind, and were very pleased by the time the salesman took to walk us through our options and ultimately led us to a product that was a better fit for our needs. After we placed our order, the office was great about keeping us informed using our preferred contact methods. The installation team was very professional, friendly, and did a great job explaining everything to us before heading out. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the entire process.
Got a new dishwasher!! The whole team was great! I am very pleased with the whole process: from talking to Michale Smith (sales) to meeting the installation team. They were on time, efficient and professional! I even got a rose! I work full time, and I did not even need to go to the store once. Mike Smith worked with me on the phone and via email to make sure all measurements were correct and recommended an awesome dishwasher. It took us only a couple weeks from starting to explore an option to having it at home and running!

Installation of our new dishwasher was excellent. The technicians were professional and respectful. They took the old dishwasher away, vacuumed under the counter, rewired for the new, hooked up all plumbing, test ran, and cleaned up afterwards. They put protection on our floors where they were working. I highly recommend Bekins.
The entire process in buying a new wall oven was flawless. Jeff our sales person was very helpful and their prices were competitive. Once purchased, their Customer Care team took over and kept us informed regarding delivery and installation. Needed to get a new washer/dryer set to complete my main floor new laundry room... and I needed it quickly due to an accident and on crutches for six weeks! Cheryl found a LG set that was in my price range and could be delivered and installed within a week. Every other store/service was quoting 6-8 weeks (maybe)! She even bumped me up on the delivery schedule ...thank you! The delivery crew were polite, arrived early, knowledgeable and were patient with me while showing me how the appliances work. Bekins made the entire experience very positive and pleasant - thank you!
Ordered a full kitchen of new appliances in March 2020. COVID created availability issues for our August delivery date. Their sales and customer service people were proactive with communicating and worked with us on solutions. The install team made things near-perfect, even though they had to come multiple times as items became available. I would definitely purchase from Bekins again.
This is the second set of kitchen appliances we have purchased from Bekins. This first set was when we remodeled our kitchen in East Grand Rapids five years ago and just recently due to a move to Rockford. We are more than satisfied with Bekins! From the sale of the appliances, to follow up with anticipated delivery and finally the installation of the appliances, everything is 100% plus!! Customer service is definitely a WOW experience with Bekins and we will keep referring friends when they ask us who we would recommend for new appliances.
I highly recommend shopping at Bekins. I called and they had the Fisher Paykel drawer dishwasher in stock, this is the initial reason I visited their showroom. There are lots on the floor. The sales associate took the time to show me how the appliance works. She also informed me of a promo where FP was giving 5 yr warranties. I had visited 2 other appliance stores, no one had mentioned the promo and they quoted me their 5 yr warranty price. Bekins price matches. Check them out.
My husband and I are so happy we stopped in at Bekins to look for a new washer and dryer. Our sales person was knowledgable about the product which was very refreshing! The delivery people were on-time, installed the units and checked to ensure they worked properly. We were also told they would handle all registration paperwork and if we have any questions to call. Wow! Impressive.
As appliance stores in general tend to be focused more and more on price alone rather than serivce, it was great to have discovered Bekins Grand Rapids MI store! Not only is the store itself beautifully laid out and designed, with a HUGE selection of brands, but the sales staff are very knowledgable and helpful. Delivery was one of the best experinces I think I have ever had in my time of buying appliances. They were very professional and had my induction range connected and working very quickly, then carefully leveled it. The gift of a rose was a sweet gesture as well. A first for sure! I highly recommend them and espcially buying the extended service contract as more and more appliances become dependent on digital read outs and computer chips etc. I will never buy anywhere else.
Great customer service and delivery. They made this experience, one which we were not looking forward to very easy. We stopped by the store in GR Erika was very helpful. We told her what we were looking for and by that evening Erika had sent us two quotes from two different makers. After the ordering the follow-up customer service was great. Delivery guys were courteous and took great care getting the items in to our house.
Now that we are done with our kitchen renovation I wanted to elaborate. We are very happy with Bekins. From sales to installation it was flawless. Kris, our salesperson, was friendly and knowledgeable. Netria kept in touch with us during the renovation, and scheduled the installation when we were ready. The install team, Erik and Keith, were on time, did a quality install, and protected all the new flooring/cabinet nicely. Definitely a 5 star business.
Our 22 year old refrigerator stopped working on a Wednesday morning and we called around to a few places to see how fast we can get a new one. Many were either closed or could not fit us in until next week. Bekins was fantastic in being able to set up a delivery for the Friday of the same week. Really nice that Jeff O., our salesman, was able to arrange something so fast. A few weeks ago we were able to visit their showroom for the first time looking at audio equipment and my wife looked at refrigerators for fun. It was serendipitous that we stopped by on a whim for an unrelated inquiry and she was able to get a good idea of what she liked in refrigerators. Bekkins showroom and staff are second-to-none. We did have to buy a new refrigerator sight unseen, but glad my wife recently looked at them. Really like our new KitchenAid refrigerator and also like the fact that Bekins is still out in the community helping folks. We really appreciate it!
Chad arrived on time. Listened to my input about the problem I was having with my LG Washer dryer combo machine. It was not drying the cloths. He found and took care of the problem right away. Chad is a very professional technician. I am so glad I called Bekins of Grand Rapids. Highly recommend the company and Chad.
Bekins GR is AWESOME! The customer service is top notch and the technician, Chad, was really helpful! Once the technician learned that he could modify the old parts on our older Miele dishwasher, he quickly altered the plan of replacement parts for $600 to modify our old parts so that we could save $250! He returned our specially ordered springs and hinges and served us as if it was his own dishwasher! We only use Bekins for all of our high end appliances - we are customers for life! THANK YOU!
This is my second bad experience with Bekins so I guess I should have known better. I used them for my new home - purchasing high end luxury appliances. Their prices are higher than other dealers in town, but I decided to give them a second chance. The Miele hood I purchased has been a nightmare from the very beginning. It doesnt work - I have to almost take it apart to turn it on. It operates by remote control, which doesnt work. So I tried pairing it with Wi-Fi and their app which doesnt work either. After spending nearly two hours on the phone with the manufacturer in Chicago, I got no where. Bekins isnt licensed to service the product and the mfg. doesnt have anyone in Michigan. Everyone points fingers at each other. The Bekins sales guy came out here today and was useless, too. He didnt know anything about the product. Looks like I may have to sue someone to get rid of this product. Theyre all blaming the other guy.
Rebecca, the GR store manager did an amazing job coming through with appliances that were otherwise back ordered due to COVID. When building a new home, getting occupancy is obviously important, and quite frankly, that wouldn’t have been possible without Bekins (and Rebecca). We will have the required appliances needed to pass inspection. without having to further delay the timeline. Quick, efficient and excellent, individualized service that made me feel like I was their main priority (although I know that’s not the case). I will be back!
We had the good fortune of working with Mike Smith for our purchase. He is knowledgeable and fun! Delivery date had to be pushed back due to our construction issues and re-scheduling was a breeze. Install team was fantastic. All in all a great experience. Highly recommend!

7.19.19First, I would like to Thank Mike Smith for making our 2nd replacement purchase (1st oven, 2nd refrigerator) at Bekins as easy as possible. Employee’s like Mike is a major component to what makes Bekins so special. So as mentioned above, our 2nd appliance went out, this time it was a refrigerator. Mike knew the sense of urgency on this event and kicked things in immediately. The install crew were very professional and friendly. They performed the install precisely in a timely manner. We noticed a visual defect on the door and worked through a damage report with no hesitation. Customer Service followed up the following day with a couple options. First, option is to receive a damage credit of $75. The Second option is to order a new door that will take 8-10 weeks. I’m hesitate with the second option because I’m aware that stainless steel can vary in appearance from lot to lot so there is a risk the doors won’t match. So, I took option one yet here is my suggestions for Bekins to improve. As option two is great to offer, the timing is really long, which I understand the reason but as a customer the risk is too high on what if the new door doesn’t match the other door. So option one is a nice alterative but a 2% give back on a Visual Defect seems extremely low to me. Again, this is coming from a customer that is a “Bekins Customer For Life” because of how special this place is! But, just some thoughts on an area for improvement.Thanks Again Bekins!First Post:The office in Cascade is awesome. The customer service from this branch has been outstanding, and so very much appreciated! Our recent service call starting with Angie C., and the service techs thoroughness regarding our issues had us back up and running in a short period of time! We would recommend this branch to anyone looking for outstanding customer service! We needed a new washer and dryer. It had been 30 years since our last purchase. Rebecca D. was so knowledgeable and was a huge help in picking out the right machines for our needs. Erik and Mike delivered the set and were so kind and helpful, as well. When they left, my laundry room was cleaner than they found it!

By far the best retail experience in this industry. I have shopped many places and nothing compares and I mean NOTHING! John Ritzema did a fantastic job. His knowledge of his products and level of service are tough to find these days. When it comes to installers you are always skeptical about who they will send out. The team they use were polite clean and professional. I am now a Bekins customer for life because of this experience.

The whole process of buying a new range and good was great. They were super flexible with scheduling. The tried their hardest to get me a range that was being discontinued and gave me a deal on another when they couldnt get me the original one, a better range in the end! Everyone was super friendly and tolerant of my children who had to come with me in more than one occasion.
Our built-in Miele coffee machine in the office died after brewing well beyond its life expectancy. A coordinated effort across all of the departments - Jeff Chonopis in sales, Alison Westra in customer service, and Erik & Keith with installation, did an outstanding job of getting our team back into the GOOD coffee with replacement equipment. 2022-04-21We have variously replaced a dishwasher, washer, and dryer over the past few years, all through Bekins. Pricing has been clearly communicated via email quotes and or calls before hand. Install and extended warranty costs have also been straight-forward with no surprises. Install visits have been on-time, with an excellent level of service and care and clean-up after the fact. We have yet to need to leverage our extended warranties, but I am hoping that experience will continue to be at the excellent level we have had so far. Would readily recommend Bekins to others.

2022-06-06Bekins delivered! My wife and I had a wonderful experience from the moment we walked in the door. From the beautiful show room, to the complementary beverage, to meeting a sales team member like Robin Moore. She was extremely professional and very knowledgeable about the multiple appliances we were looking to purchase. The purchase process was quick and easy. Even though they could not promise a speedy delivery due to inventory challenges, they still met and exceeded expectations on timeline. The installation crew was extremely professional and we loved the thank you card and rose that was left behind….A phenomenal touch. My wife and I highly recommend this organization for all of your appliances needs. Do yourself a favor and ask for Robin.

2022-06-28We first came here years ago to replace the washer/dryer in our new home. I thought it would be too expensive but decided to give it a shot. With all the fees Home Depot was going to add on for various facets of the installation, it was actually cheaper at Bekins and the service was top notch.The sales people are knowledgeable and really made me feel like I was making an informed decision. Then the service techs actually seem to know what theyre doing and show up on time! They do service calls too so its nice to be able to call them if something breaks and have someone you trust come look at it. (Ive only had to do that once - 5 years after we bought our washer - but it was a smooth experience and my washer has worked fine since.)We had such a great experience that weve now been back repeatedly to replace every appliance in our house over the years. They treat you great with snacks and beverages in the showroom and even helped keep my daughter occupied while we browsed.We will absolutely be back for any appliance needs in the future.

2022-07-21When the product I ordered was delayed a second time, Johanna helped me find a similar model in inventory for immediate shipment. Although it was more expensive it was worth getting it installed in a timely manner. The installers took great care and brought a red rose and thank you note. Today I received yet another thank you via email. Great service! Great Bosch refrigerator! I recommend this store.

2022-06-20Excellent experience from start to finish. The sales person was extremely knowledgeable and in no way pushy. The timeline they provided us for the product to be in stock was exactly as they promised and the delivery/install team was very professional, left the space cleaner than when they arrived and took extra care to ensure there was nothing damaged during the install. I would highly recommend bekins to anyone looking for appliances in the area.

2022-02-17This experience has been nothing but amazing!! It started with a phone conversation with Cheryl Moberly. I was concerned about the lack of availability of the level of appliances that we wanted. 40 minutes later, we had an established order of a Wolf range and an LG refrigerator and microwave. All were perfectly aligned with our needs.Cheryls follow up is what a customer hopes for but doesnt really expect. Shes immediately responsive and always comes in with an answer.Shes so personable that, although we never met face-to-face, I feel like Ive made a friend. We will go to her with all of our MI appliance needs.I need to also give a shout out to the two young men who came to install our appliances, Keith and Justin. They were sweet and friendly, but they were also uber-professional in everything they did, from protecting our condo to letting us know what needed to be done for a safe and proper installation. Their reporting and paperwork were thorough and answered all of our questions. For anyone who considers installing his or her own appliances, dont! The price was fair for the peace of mind it gave us, especially with a gas range.On a scale of 1-10, our experience at Bekins was a million! Thank you!

2021-08-09Great experience in store and throughout the buying process. Routine updates on back ordered products was very helpful and we were excited to get our new appliances (Dacor and Bosch) installed.At installation we had to to have a cabinet and panel remade so the panels couldnt be installed. We were casually told the return fee would probably be waived and as I had already paid in full and hadnt received any further notice of the fee or any specific amount when scheduling to come back out, I had assumed it wasnt an issue. Finally I was charged another $400 on top of already paying $220 for the panel installation. I take some blame for not getting it in writing there wouldnt be a fee, but none was quoted either. If I had known, I wouldve asked for the $220 back and paid my contractor to install, not paid 3x.The icing on the cake is that there were only 4 screws in the top bracket of the freezer panel that my contractor had previously installed for a dry fit. The door flexed every time it was opened. My contractor removed the panel and added additional screws to remedy the issue. Thats after a 3 hour long install by 3 technicians for 2 panels. That was a pleasure from 3p-6p on a Friday.I love supporting local businesses instead of big box stores, but poor execution and punitive charges are not cool. Hoping my experience was an isolated one.

2022-07-11Bekins has a really nice showroom, and carries some quality brands. However, after finally receiving all of our Bosch appliances (patient through COVID) the Bosch rebate has fallen through and I feel Bekins should have stood up and taken charge of the situation. Weve been delayed, shorted our rebate, and have finally had enough. Sorry - would not/will not be back. Service and results probably better Lowes or Home Depot. Bosch is horrible, but Bekins owns some of the blame.
