Alex answered all of my many questions and was able to accommodate the change from moving directly into my new house, to needing to store things since the new place isn’t ready yet. And Esteban, Manny, and Gustavo…what more can I say. They busted their butts in this 100 degree heat and have carefully packed and wrapped my belongings. Could not be more pleased.

Comment: We just packed up and stored our belongings with Bekins and we are glad we did. Complete professionals starting with Alex who managed our move, and Art, Luis, Johnny, Zaviel and Carlos who worked all day for two days wrapping, packing and moving. They took care to wrap all our furniture and breakables in blankets, cardboard and plastic to ensure they were not damaged. The got everything done in the time they quoted and left the house clean (as could be after a move). A great and happy team that also had good taste in music that helped the day go quickly.Id use this group anytime - great service, great crew and an overall great experience

Comment: We just completed a hassle free, super professional moving job from the team at Bekins. Starting with Alex, the sales manager who met with us several times over the last three months to plan and prepare our move. Then on Monday, we had a team of five guys pack us up then on Tuesday they loaded up the truck and today they delivered our items to our new home 2 1/2 hours away from our other home. All three days they came on time and were moving machines! My husband and I could not believe the speed and efficiency in which they plowed through our home! Moving is such a stressful thing and these guys really made it stress-free! They were extremely neat and tidy, and when they delivered our items to our new home, they took extreme care in bringing in all of the items as well as storing everything for us very effectively in the garage. They were so helpful and truly seem to love their job! We could not have asked for a better team than Luis, Bernardo, Franz, Gustavo Esteban and Javier! But poor Franz…. He was allergic to cats and we have three so there was a lot of sneezing.🤪 And just for the record, 14 years ago we also used Alex and his team at Bekins when we moved into our other house. You need to look no further for a company for your moving needs! These guys are awesome!

The crew at Belkins made it easy for us.Alex came through the house and was able to give us an accurate estimate. Javier who packed our fragile things was amazing, both fast and careful, we had nothing broken or damaged. Then the next day, Luis and team made a potentially stressful experience, almost fun. They have such a positive attitude, dealt with moving challenging 300 year old furniture, and stayed until the job was done. They even assembled our chicken coup on the other end, so even our pets give them the thumbs up! We wholeheartedly recommend the team at Belkins!!

Comment: The move was from Hayward to Manteca on March 8th. The team arrived timely around 9:00am and were ready to go. This was a large and long move that required two large trucks. In addition to the usual furniture and household items, there was about 30 large plants that needed to be moved. The team of Arthur (Lead), Nestor, Roger, and Zaviel were so helpful, supportive, and patient throughout the process. The move was not completed in Manteca until around 10:30pm but throughout this long move, the team was fantastic. Very much appreciate all that the team did to complete this move. Thank you team!!!

Comment: We are still waiting for our furniture almost a full month. They got greedy and loaded part of our stuff on 1 truck that had 4 other families already on it. Then the other stuff got loaded onto another truck and unloaded in the warehouse to wait for another truck. So we wait for half our things still. This should have been loaded all on one truck the first time. The driver very good about taking care of our things. That is why they even get a star. No compensation or discount for us having to wait so long for our things. They did not deliver as promised I cannot recommend them at all.

Comment: Frauds. We signed a DO NOT EXCEED quote for our two day move, the first day was packing, second day move. After the first day they wanted us to sign a change order for $300+ more, we said no and finally they agreed that was a mistake on their part and would honor the DNE price. On the second day we signed the final document at the original price. They then forged the document to write in the additional $300+ and charged our credit card. You can see the different color ink on the price and they changed the date of my signature. Our mistake, in all the commotion we didn’t realize our copy of the receipt was not left on the table.

They failed to deliver the moving boxes and accessories on time. They did not show up on the scheduled pickup date. They extorted us for money in order to get our items delivered to our new home in a timely manner. They used unskilled and untrained movers. Lastly, the damaged every piece of furniture that they moved.

Everyone we worked with was great. We also had the challenge of a fluid timeline but we were able to move up our move date with no problem.The crew we worked with on move day were fantastic! They were on time and set up protection on the walls and floors to protect the house. They handled all of our items with care. We probably could have been better prepped for our move (timeline was moved up) so we worked around the move crew with no problem. They were respectful and helpful.What really made it a 5 start experience was our move crew was not only super helpful and careful but they were really pleasant to work with. Thats the thing you dont really think about but is really important when you spend all day with them on what is a very stressful day.Overall, moving is not fun but I am really happy we hired Bekins!

From packing our mattresses to covering and protecting our ebony piano and antique furniture everything was done with care. Wesley was responsive, calling to let us know his status and confirm his arrival date and time. He arrived on time with additional unpackers and movers so he could get the work done quickly. Bekins also makes available (for a fee ) high value insurance for your more valuable items. Cost was more than the unlicensed movers but if you value your possessions consider Bekins.

Should also mention our cc was charged right away as well.So now our things have been sitting out in a smoking hot trailer truck for 2 weeks and haven’t even started their way across country.

Comment: Overall, our experience with Bekins was good.The only issue we had was the packing up of our house in CA, and getting it packed onto the semi. There was a lack of workforce that came to do the packing. The crew that came at first, was only 2 men to start. They had to beg guys to come in the afternoon to help. It was ridiculous. A 5 hour pack became a 10 hour pack. The men who did come to pack were efficient and professional.This was leaving CA.We tried to call each Bekins office associated with our move to complain and see if they could get more guys on the job, but no one returned our calls nor help to remedy the problem. The Bekins moving guys did all the calling around to get more guys to help. Very unprofessional. It’s not as though Bekins didn’t know how much there was to pack nor that they needed to get a large workhorse to do it. We booked this move 2 months in advance.once the truck arrived in Montana the workforce was 5 men and the unpacking went very quickly.Grant, the semi driver was fantastic, professional, and communicated with us the who way through. He deserves a raise and some much deserved time off.We never had any issues once the truck was packed and on its way to Montana.

Comment: The drivers and the packers were great.when we asked for a estimate we had Alex Arsenault come to our house to give us a price for packing, unpacking and the delivery to our new house.And storage fees per month. When our house was ready we called to let Alex know we were ready to have our furniture shipped up.Alex told us it would be another $1500. I told him that we already had sign a contract for packing, Un packing and shipping. I was told that the shipping part of the contract was not signed so it cost us a $1500.When the truck arrived there was only one person who told us that he had to load the truck by himself, drive the truck and Unload the truck himself witch he did.. he had a great attitude about everything, very nice man. But that being said we had to do all the unpacking.I would never use Bekins again..And be very careful if you do and if your salesperson is ALEX ARSENAULT.

Comment: From the beginning of my move to the final destination of my move, Thomas Silvius, Customer Service Manager, at your Livermore, CA, facility, was there with me all the way. By this I mean he went OVER & ABOVE providing the most EXCELLENT customer service and guiding me through my move. By this I mean I was in the process of selling my condo, and contacted Bekins to assist with my move. After I received a quote Thomas followed up with me, and arranged for a date to move. Unfortunately the real estate offer went south, thus, I had to cancel with Bekins. Thomas was so kind and understanding and stated it was no problem to cancel. I told him upon my selling, I would contact him. the sale of the condo became very complicated not a smooth sale. For a couple of months my move was on and off with an exact date, and, again, Thomas was there stating Bekins would be there for me upon the sale. The condo finally sold, but the place I was moving to was not available the day I moved out of my condo. Thus, Thomas suggested storage, until I secured an apt. Due to the complications of the move, it was VERY reassuring Thomas was there, WHICH i soooo GREATLy appreciate. My belongings were securely stored with Bekins, and invetories. Also, I cant go without saying the movers who moved me out of my condo, and the movers who moved me into my new apt. were VERY professional and polite. They moved my things with care, making sure not to damage my belongings or the apartments I moved out of, and moved into. THOMAS is a GEM. That was the strong point as everything fell apart after that.The packers who arrived were different each day and not communicating with one another nor did they understand the definition of fragile. The moving truck was not large enough and the goods were offloaded to warehouse and then on loaded which caused many issues. Called the general manager who was belligerent and cared not about his staff and fully about his schedule.Furniture arrived a week later and had many broken pieces including a 200 year old grandfather clock that was separately crated to no avail. Still awaiting outcome as insurance claim is responding very slowly and at their desired pace.I would not recommend this company under any circumstance.

While we appreciate Jenny and Thomas for their professionalism, Alex Arsenault (Sales rep) is very tough to deal with. Two years ago, he mixed up the moving and storage timeline where the movers showed up on the wrong date. The contract I signed had the correct date but when I called Alex about the situation, he threatened to cancel the entire work order if we couldnt move that day. Given this past experience, we decided to work with Bekins for storage services ONLY this time. After the storage delivery service was complete, Alex provided non-negotiable terms & conditions contract. When I asked him why he didnt provide the contract before we hired him, his response was that storage services isnt regulated in State of California and Bekins can auction off our items. His hostile and aggressive sales tactics are unnecessary. He talks over the customer, and overcomplicates situations. I am a repeat customer of Tri-Valley Bekins (we used Bekins storage for most of year 2019). Disappointed.

The move went fine on the California end with very nice packers. The van got to California on the last day of the window and the unloaders were very clumsy. Dining room table was broken, which they tried to repair, a chip off my credenza and they couldn’t figure out how to put my wall unit together. My son had to come and tighten all the shelves. I definitely wouldn’t recommend them.

I have a house full of antiques that has been handed down from my ancestors and there never has been a problem. Everything is well packed and handled with great care. I highly recommend Tri-Valley. Comment: We can’t say enough about the team that loaded our furniture onto the van, and the team that did the unloading in Southern California. They were both great, hard-working and careful. We haven’t finished unpacking yet, but in all that we have unpacked, we’ve only discovered one damaged item, a crystal wine goblet. Otherwise everything appears to be in good order.A couple of reasons why I did not give a 5-star rating...1. The communication and feedback with the Livermore office was inconsistent at best. It was important that we knew the exact day that our furniture was going to be delivered so that we could be ready to receive it and, possibly more important, notify our new neighbors that one or more of their driveways were going to be blocked by the van. I was told that the office would know on a particular Friday whether it would be a Tuesday or Wednesday delivery. I called Friday morning and was told they wouldn’t know until that afternoon, and that they would call me. I never received a call back, and didn’t get an answer until I called again the following Monday. A call back, even just to tell me that they wouldn’t know until Monday, would have been acceptable. Not getting a call was frustrating.2. The crew that did the packing of our furniture, in particular the items that went into boxes, was very inconsistent about labeling the boxes. For a number of the boxes that we opened, the contents were different from what was written on the outside of the box. Even more troubling, a fair number of boxes had nothing at all written on them. So we’ve been guessing at what we’ll find once we do open those boxes. And just to be clear, the crew that loaded our van was not the crew that did the packing.

We are moving from the Bay Area to San Diego and I had planned on getting at least 3 quotes and making a decision based on service and value. But after Alex from Bekins met with me and I told him I was getting 3 quotes he said he thought was a good idea, I then read all the positive reviews about Bekins and trusted my instincts to go with Bekins and I am so glad I did! I seriously had 6 or 8 calls from the time I decided to go with them to the day they showed up. The loading process took longer than expected by 4 hours but the results were stellar- during the whole process only one wine glass was broken. Comment: Ill start this review with one of the movers bringing their baby to the move site and leaving the baby in their car on a 98 degree day. Yes, you read that right. Theres so much to cover, but this should give you an idea of the service you should expect.We noticed that one of the employees car was running out in front of our house while they were moving our belongings. We looked in their car and could see a 1 year old baby strapped in a car seat. The air conditioner was on, but no one was watching him. We told the employee to not leave their baby in the car because, obviously, the baby could die. So we baby sat their baby while they worked. Seriously. You cant make this up.During the initial consultation, I told them I wanted a 1,600 lb safe to be moved. This was documented. When the movers showed up, they did not have a dolly to use it. Without permission, they used my dolly, which is not rated for that much weight, to move it. About an hour later, they barely made any headway and at one point, I saw my safe on its side in my driveway. There are now scrapes all up the side of it. It had been in pristine condition. As they moved it out of the house, they didnt protect the doorway and caused damage to the home on the way out.When they realized they needed help, they called for reinforcements. The two guys that showed up to help reeked of marijuana so bad that my house smelled like a marijuana field for an hour after they left. Oh, it should be noted they drove the moving van in that condition, so I can only imagine that they were DUI.When the moving van arrived a week later at my new home, we discovered that the movers had placed multiple items on top of our bedroom furniture and caused permanent damage to our bed, dresser and nightstands.It took them almost 11 hours to load the truck from my home in CA, but when it arrived in another state with a competent crew, it only took 4 hours to unload it. At one point during the 11 hour loading in CA, all three of my bathrooms were occupied by movers taking a grumper in all three of my bathrooms. I seriously had no where to go when I needed to go. I only assumed they had Taco Bell by the damage done.In the middle of all of this, I called Bekins to let them know how bad things were going. The guy that did my initial consultation called me and he was speechless when I told him about the baby in the car. I asked for a manager to call me asap. I got a call back two days later, but only after sending another email asking for contact. Now Im praying that I get reimbursed for the damage done.Basically, if you cant trust them with their own children, how can you trust them with your worldly possessions?It should be noted that the team at the other end of the move were awesome. They were careful with our things, were respectful, and worked quickly. Those four guys I would recommend for any move.Edit:The GM has since posted a reply to my post. Sir, you told me on the phone that you would make it right. Youre not making it right by not calling back or not knocking the price down for the stress and difficulty your company caused. You have since not done anything to make it right.Also, it appears you might be lying about not using those people anymore. Sure enough, one of your employees told me they were being used one more time a few days later after our conversation. Again, that is not making it right. If you kept them, thats fine. Keeping them or firing them is up to you. However, the point here is that it appears you lied and looking at other comments, it appears status quo for you.

Comment: Overall the coordination and management of my move is well below par when compared with other movers - terrible. The packers did a poor job, left too many items unpacked and not packed properly; thus the driver and loaders had a hard time loading the truck on time and spent way too much time trying to pick up pieces not packed properly. Teams operated in silos. As a result, there are damages. Management (both corporate and local) did a poor job to coordinate the whole process. All they care is if the teams shows up (not necessary on time) and that the company gets paid. One thing though, the driver and the team which did the unloading at destination did a very good job. That’s the only reason I give it 2 stars. I’ll not use Bekins again.

Comment: Pay cash! Bekins charged my credit card MORE than the amount on the final bill which I signed at the end of the move. No one called to warn me. In fact, the move coordinator told me to contact my bank when I emailed Bekins to ask about it.Alex the salesman was great. Francisco, Manuel and Miguel packed and moved my belongings quickly and carefully.Tri-Valley Bekins has moved me twice in three years. I wrote a personal check for the first move and it was perfect. I was annoyed after this most recent move. They no longer accept personal checks. I wish I hadn’t given them a debit card number in advance.Pay the final bill in cash or with a cashiers check. Make them send you a bill if they want more money. Do not give them the opportunity to charge your credit card for more than final invoice.

Comment: After using Bekins several times for my moves, sadly I will never use their service again. First I was asked if if it was ok to complete the move in 1 day versus 2, which I agreed to. Then at the end the movers tried to pressure me into paying them overtime. When I was met with attitude. On top of that they broke several items and didnt even notify us they were broken including the mirror on our bedroom set. If I could give less than a star I would.

Comment: I would use another Bekins business. This group is pretty unprofessional. I had to put some stuff in storage and due to an illness & ultimately a death in my family, it was over a year before I could move out of state & buy a home. When I got ready to move, their billing person said they had made a mistake in my monthly rental for over a year and that I owed them an additional $1K which I would have to pay to get my goods moved (in addition to the $5K moving charge). I had put two loads in storageand the rate went up after the 2nd load, so I didnt recalculate it. I was told what the monthly rate would be when I put the 2nd load in, so I didnt compare it with the paperwork. Then they informed me that I would have to pay it all by credit card because they no longer took checks. Its a poorly run business in my opinion. I will up date after the actual move takes place. Just dont listen to anything they tell you on the phone - get it in writing.

Comment: I couldnt be more pleased with my recent interstate move with Bekins. From the initial consultation with Alex to the follow-up calls from Dana and Tyler to Juan the driver and his crew Julio and Angel. All very professional and accommodating. The driver and his crew never stopped. Furniture was wrapped and they handled the boxes I packed very carefully. I wouldnt hesitate to use Bekins again and would request the same crew - they were very patient with my 87-year old mother and the order in which I needed to have furniture moved so she wouldnt get stressed out during the loading process. Juan called me on the road to provide an update as to the unload schedule and Tyler called me on both the loading and unloading days to ensure everything was going as planned. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!

She was extremely patient and professional with me. The movers I had were Luis, Marlo and Bernardo. I cant say enough about this 3 men crew. On time, pleasant, professional, hard working and efficient! I highly recommend Bekins for your moves. The truck was huge, clean and full of moving supplies. Heres whats most important to me. Not one item was damaged, broken, or chipped. The exit and new home move was a sweet transition. Thank you Bekins !!!

Comment: 1. The truck that arrived was too small for all my belongings, so I had to rent a U-Haul trailer to complete the move.2. When I finally got an explanation from Brian Thorsteinsen (GM of Tri-Valley Movers, he told me that it was illegal for his big truck to drive on the road to my house, basically it was my fault, then I believe he hung up on me. This in spite of having a written signed contract.3. Apropos of nothing, the propane delivery truck weighs approx. 32000 lbs.4. I am out $32 for the trailer, $100 for mileage, and 6 hours of my time at $45 an hour. Total $402.5. I wrote to Bekins Customer Service (1 business day turnround) 6 days ago - not a word.6. I am a very dissatisfied customer.

Comment: We’ve used Bekins Tri-Valley twice in the past three months. The first move was to storage. They were excellent!! Showed up on time wrapped everything and laid protection on the stairs and tile floors.The last move was out of state.Showed up a bit late to the apartment. They had plenty of help. When they got to the storage units I pointed out the things that needed special care. Again, plenty of help and it went quickly.Now for the delivery. They showed up on time. With just the driver and 1 loader. We had to ask them to lay protection for the hard wood floors. When asked to cover the stairs they had nothing.A few hours into unloading another loader did show up. Which made it go faster.The special care items were well protected and undamaged.The price was fair and did come in under the quote.We would use them again.Alex and Dana were easy to work with very responsive.

Comment: My initial experance was great with a very understanding staff, we had to make a number of date changes which was handled with understanding.Our problem is with the delivery of our belongings. We received a call from the driver on Friday evening saying he would be delivering our belongings on Sunday morning. This is when the problem started, he showed up but none of the other people that were to unload the truck. He made several calls but couldnt get in touch with anyone. He ended up hiring two 18 year olds off the street basically to unload our items along with us. The kids worked out great but REALLY trusting our items to two unknown kids off the street??? Very unprofessional! If we had known this would be self service we could have saved over $8,000. by renting a truck ourself.To add insult, instead of offering some money off, I got an unspected increase in the bid. Really asking me for more money after what transpired?I have yet to receive an apology.I cant recommend Bekins based on my one and only experince with them, I do know I wont be using their service again.

I was truly amazed at all of the work they did for the price I paid. They took apart my king sized bed with electric box spring, removed doors off of large refrigerator, and took apart my large L-Shaped Oak desk and put everything back together at my new home. Comment: Pick another mover.Bekins Movers scratched and damaged my walls. I filed a claim, but the Bekins customer service has been ignoring my calls and emails for nearly a month. Two of the three movers were really inexperienced which slowed down the whole process which increased the entire cost of the operation since you are charged by time.The movers did not wear shoe covers, and they were genuinely dirty even before they started moving. Im not sure why they were so dirty, we were the first customers of the day. My couch smells like their body odor and sweat.We took care of the movers very well. We gave them a lot of water, food, and support, but ever since the payment has been posted I feel invisible. They will not care about me now. I would not recommend.

Comment: Not so impressed. We hired Tri Valley Bekiins for a cross-town move (approx 7-10 miles) - they did arrive on time and guys were nice- so far so good. But, they left to drop the first load off at the new house (just mostly boxes) and they Nwere coming back for larger items. They were gone for over 2 hours and it should not have taken that long- seemed like it took 45 min to an hour from the time they left the new house to come back to the old (I know because my husband was at the new house)- we assumed they stopped for a break- they never did explain and at the end of the day, no time was taken off my final bill but I decided not to complain since the cost was still under my budgeted amount (shame on me)- When they were leaving to take the final load from the old house they miscommunicated among each other and thought they had cleared with me that they had everything they were supposed to take- they did not and my son ended up chasing the truck down the street so they could come back- they still had a TV, a bed and some other items left behind upstairs. As it turned out. they still forgot the bed. At the end of it all, the old house had black scrape marks on the walls coming down the stairs, (it was being painted so I didnt make a deal out of it) and my washer and dryer have cosmetic scratches on the front (again, not worth making a big deal out of) but it does speak volumes to their quality of work. My new house was left with a white scratch on the hardwood floor from a box they carelessly put in place. After a few days of unpacking we discovered that my sons were missing three X-Box games (valued at $60 each) and my husband was missing a $350 box of ammo- we did not even have them move any guns or ammo- this was in my garage separated from everything else and one of the movers just helped themselves. After several attempts to reach someone, Joe, the Livermore manager finally called back and agreed to open a claim for us- this is after my husband told him we would be filing a police report- that got an immediate call back, let me tell you,. After another couple of weeks, and many un returned phone calls, Joe finally said he would be issuing a check for the loss- he even offered to drop it off since he lived in the area- nice gesture but NO follow through. No return calls, nothing- we finally just got a check in the mail. We tried to escalate to the National Claims Manager- Mike Rogers and even he couldnt be bothered to return a call and offer an apology. Customer service is king people! and this company failed miserably. I will never recommend

They worked very hard and had great attitudes.The Crew Leader Esteban was very professional and organized the entire day amazingly well.I was so glad to see that he was the Crew Leader that delivered my items as well. He really knew what he was doing and I felt confident all my belongings would be taken care of and handled with care.If I ever move again (which I will), I will definitely use Bekins and if possible request Esteban.They even made sure my furniture was centered where needed in my home.Thank you for making a stressful time so much easier and enjoyable.I have used several other moving companies and there was no comparison to Bekins.John Mac who did the estimate was dead on the price and even took my call when he was out of town on vacation.Thank you Bekins!!!
