Todd was so wonderful! Fixed the toilets quickly and effectively. He was honest, more than fair with the costs and professional. He even unclogged the sink at no charge. Would highly recommend!

Zach is an excellent technician and very good to work with. He was very diligent in defining the 60 year old under slab/underground sewer piping and where the issues are. He took the time to help me develop a plan for rehabilitating the system.I highly recommend him.
Nick is very dependable and his work is excellent! He took pictures to show me the areas I couldnt see. I had a bunch of chords in a jumble and he mounted them so its all neat and tidy. That was above and beyond what he was working on. Camden was with Nick and was quite exceptional as well. They arrived on time and worked efficiently. Nick explained everything to me which I appreciate. Both Nick and Camden were very friendly. The price was very reasonable. I will be having Nick back in a few weeks for a project I talk to them about when they were here. I know they will be here the exact date and time that they say. Thank you for the good work you did!
Service man came out early to see about an outside leaking faucet on my house. Very thorough and personable. Showed me where the turn off is located and recommended I have the faucet replaced in the spring when Ill actually need to use water outside (its winter now.) My ignorance cost me a service call charge, but the information is solid. Overall, a good experience. I will be calling them again in the spring!
Francis was outstanding. Came out on a Sunday, checked out the scope of the job and returned promptly Monday to install a new water heater, a new expansion tank, and, even removed an old softner filter housing which was no longer functional. I have counted on Ben Franklin numerous times over the last 10 years and find them to be of the highest quality and value in the area, and Francis to be exceptionally special in his customer service and efficiencies.
Matt Graham came out to check a problem with our newly installed back up sump pump. He solved the problem quickly and checked that the entire system was working properly. We are very pleased with the service from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing today...thank you
My water system sprang a major leak late this afternoon. I shut off our water, but this was a huge problem as we are hosting a major family event tomorrow (a Sunday). I called Benjamin Franklin plumbing. The lady on the call was very professional, helpful and committed to having the problem solved today. The plumber who came out (Reggie) was skilled, professional and pleasant. Although I understood that his workday was supposed to be near its end, he committed to stay until our problem was solved. He repaired the pipe and saved my event! I cant speak highly enough to our experience. What a pleasure to deal with terrific attitudes from those we encountered!
Matt did a thorough job explaining what it could be and offered a couple of solutions. Was cautious in maintaining integrity of surroundings.I would go with them again. Not the most economical, but if you want a fix now (same day) with a warranty, this is the company to call.Problem corrected, works as it should.
Zack was very professional and friendly. He explained all of our options and answered all of our questions. We were confident that he knew his profession. We also knew when we agreed to have our hot water tank installed by Benjamin Franklin that we would get exactly what we were looking for with excellent customer service. I will definitely go back to them for other service in the future.
Joe did a prompt appearance, looked over the toilet with 2 hairline cracks, one of which was continually weeping water from the tank. I had not been able to turn the water off at the wall. We discussed the situation and the solution. He presented 3 choices of toilets at 3 price points. I asked questions and chose one of the three. Joe had to pick up and return to install it. He was fast and very efficient. I am very happy with the product and the service.

The lead technician, Nick, was exceedingly professional (and his younger apprentice helpers were good as well.) I appreciated Nick’s honesty, patience in explaining the work performed, and going above and beyond in looking at a couple other items while at our home. I would highly recommend Ben Franklin and the service team that did the plumbing work for us.
The service technician, Zach is 5 stars, quality workmanship. I would give a 5 star but the price was more than I would have expected. Also, the confirmation call was made to the wrong phone number and the appointment had to be rescheduled. The second time around went well and punctual. This is understandable human error and does not reflect on the quality of work, I would definitely recommend this company.

From the receptionist, to the clear info provided up front about expectations, to the notification about when our technician would arrive, to their punctual arrival, and finally quality service, we were impressed throughout the entire process. I was very impressed with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing! They were on-time, very professional, extremely thorough (took time to explain things, show me parts they would be using, and take before and after pictures). They seemed very knowledgeable and were extremely respectful and courteous.They replaced our outdoor water spigots and water valve controls inside our home. We found some haphazard work that was done on the main water shut off valve piping and they replaced it and pointed out the shoddy work that could have resulted in a water leak at some point down the line. See photo below of new water valve control and piping.I love their optional membership program too which gives us discounts on parts and service (for plumbing, electrical, and heating/cooling) and includes key maintenance inspections.We would definitely recommend them to others!I love that they are a family-owned business, that they hire veterans, take care of their employees well, do background checks, and do ride-alongs for high school students and others interested in learning about the profession!
Matt was fantastic! The issue i had was complicated. He gave me numerous scenarios, and prices involved. The problem was fixed, fairly and professionally. I would absolutely use them again x and specifically request Matt.

Didnt try any hard sell methods, but very informative about the irreparable condition of my water heater, and provided the choices and costs I had for replacement. The plumbers took the time to make sure that the job was completed and done well. They found problems that I was not aware of and fixed them on the spot. The total cost of the job was more than I had initially expected, but the price was worth it for the peace of mind it provides. I would use their services again!
The plumber was very thorough and explained everything in understandable language. He also identified an additional problem needing repair (bladder tank system)which he brought to my attention before it turned into a major problem. The repair made to the water heater corrected the “rotten egg smell” water issue immediately! Overall I am very happy with the service provided.

BEWARE: GREAT TECHNICIANS BUT PRICE GOUGING COMPANYTo start, I want to say I was very pleased with the professionalism and knowledge of the plumber technician who performed the work I had done and, quite frankly, was the only saving grace for Benjamin Franklin Plumbing (BFP) (more on that in a moment). Because the prices charged by this company are outrageous.I hired Benjamin Franklin Plumbing (BFP) to do a simple disconnect of my garbage disposal, faucet and sink trap for a sink repair that was scheduled to be done a couple of days later by another (a granite) company and then to return to my home to reconnect the hardware after the sink had been repaired. The undermount stainless-steel sink had separated from my granite countertop and therefore simply needed to be removed and remounted. However, the granite company does not perform the plumbing. Hence, that is where BFP came in.My wife found BFB and had called and scheduled them to come out and perform the work but was not given an estimate of any kind prior to the technician coming out. Instead, she was only told there would be an $89.00 visit fee and that the cost would be determined once the technician arrived. That, in and of itself, is a slick sales technique. I mean what company can’t even give a ballpark figure, especially for a simple/straight forward plumbing job?I met with the technician and discussed the work to be done. He then provided me a quote of $762.00--for a simple kitchen sink disconnect/reconnect and was all labor. This was on a Friday and I already had the granite company lined up to repair the sink the following Monday, so I reluctantly agreed to have the work done but did express my shock about the price. The technician was even sympathetic and explained the price schedule was set by corporate with no deviation possible. He did though suggest if, after he leaves, I decided to cancel the second part of the work (i.e., reconnection of the hardware following the sink repair), I could call his office and speak with his manager to figure out what to bill me for the work he would complete today. The technician then disconnected the garbage disposal, dishwasher line and removed the sink trap. He was done in about 15 minutes and left.After the technician left, I decided to contact the office about the price and spoke with the regional sales manager. I expressed my concern and accused the company of price gouging and that I felt I was being taken advantage of. I also asked if he would consider reducing the price to $500, which I thought was fair and an amount I had since found out was reasonable for the work to be performed. This, according to a source very familiar with professional home improvement/construction. In response, the manager remained steadfast and gave me a song and dance about his cost to have a licensed plumber come out and perform the work; said the job involved two trips to my home, incurred insurance and liability costs. He even cited the cost of gasoline as justification for the inflated price. After a 45-minute contentious conversation, we agreed to disagree, but he did give me a discount of $89.00 for one service fee. Though this was a concession--and didnt bring the price down near enough to what I thought was fair--I agreed to it and allowed the company to come out and complete the work once the sink was repaired.Today the rest of the work was completed, and I was VERY HAPPY with the technician who was the same one who came out and did the first portion of the job. He was a great and knowledgeable guy who went above and beyond to please. Too bad he works for such a greedy company.In closing, I am not the only one who has been gouged by BFP. I have since researched other reviews and found a nationwide plethora of other complaints about--to quote one such review—the “Outrageous Prices” charged by this company.
We needed a new dishwasher installed. Called and got an appointment within a week! They confirmed the appointment both by phone call and text. The installer called when he was on his way and arrived soon after. He was professional and reviewed with us what he would be doing. He also gave us the amount that would be charged and approximately how long it would take, before he started. He was wearing a mask and shoe coverings and was very courteous. His estimate of time for the installation was accurate, he ran the dishwasher to test it, and handled the payment process efficiently.We will definitely use this Benjamin Franklin in the future.
Service repair person was very nice, but was unable to perform service due to no fault of her own. Very pleasant and a pleasure to work with. Will use their services in the future!
I was trying to change a faucet cartridge in my daughters shower. I ran into a problem and needed to be immediately fixed. I stopped into Benjamin Franklin plumbing and all the US 23 and Howell. I was properly served and told they could get to me within 24 hours. I told him I was going to keep the water off in the house due to the current situation. Not five minutes later I received a call from Plumber Michael Drake. He said he was four minutes out from my house. He arrived and went right to work. He was done within 20 minutes and have even cleaned out my drain. He was polite honest and trustworthy. This is my first experience with Benjamin Franklin plumbing and if need be I will definitely use their service again.
I had two outdoor faucets replaced. Shawn was absolutely great!!! He not only completed the repair perfectly but gave me added info that will ensure I dont ha e problems later. Will use again if needed!!!
Great experience! Reggie installed a new sink/faucet I had purchased previously, but before doing so had to replace a faulty shut off valve. Its great to have the peace of mind in knowing things were done professionally and that the work is guaranteed. I highly recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing and in particular want to thank Reggie.

We had Benjamin Franklin Plumbing install a gas line for my new stove. There was an unexpected issue that was handled in a very professional way. The installation took a little longer than expected but was well worth the effort. We are very pleased with BFP and recommend them for all of your Plumbing needs.
Brought them in to uninstall/reinstall a shoddy toilet installation that I had completed years ago on a broken flange. They fixed the flange and removed the rock from the toilet, also now our bathroom doesnt smell like a sewer because the seal is.. actually sealed.I also asked if they could just randomly throw in a new dishwasher install and they took it in stride. The whole experience was great.
I always have a good experience with Benjamin Franklin plumbing. Dave is a great plumber and explains everything very well. He also leaves the work area very clean and tidy.
DO NOT USE THEM. Made the unfortunate mistake of using Benjamin Franklin December 3rd. $401.00 to fix 3 pin holes in 3/4 pipe (wife had unfortunate luck with the nail gun). $79.00 for the trip which isnt far because I live in Howell, $322.00 for the actual repair. Although we knew exactly what the issue was and the work required to conduct the repair, they do not tell you any prices ahead of time as they claim they need to see the issue to provide a quote; however, after calling them when the job was done to better understand the incurred charges the office explained that corporate provides a billing structure for which the minimum charge for fixing a leak is $322. If they have minimum charge, it would have been much preferred to be told that ahead of time rather than taking advantage of my wife at the time of the repair. This is not a great sales tactic. Furthermore, I requested a call from the staff that provided the work to better understand the charge, but no call was received.Dont make the mistake I did and think your saving time and money by calling a local business to fix a couple holes. Literally had everything prepped, dry wall cut, pipe cut and cleaned. Only material used by the plumbers was two crimp on couplings and fixed an existing coupling solder joint. They also were there for only 45 minutes, likely because I completed all of the prep work. Although they claim they are a local company, their rigid pricing is provided by their corporate structure. I recommend paying a local independent plumber who could use the money for their family instead. If there is nothing Benjamin Franklin can do about corporate pricing well then I reiterate, DO NOT USE THEM.
I no longer have a shower in my linen closet!!! Reggie did an awesome job. He was quick, efficient and very professional. Debbie was an angel to get the job in queue at a very difficult time for me. Benjamin Franklin is lucky to have two employees so dedicated to customer service.
While the installation of a new sewer isn’t too exciting or sexy, it is necessary, but difficult to evaluate. With this said, to the person, everyone involved was friendly, helpful and a pleasure to work with. If the quality of work is as good as your staff, we will be very grateful for a job well done.Thanks to Marcus and all the representatives that made this an excellent experience.
We moved to MI from CA in 2019 and bought a house from afar. We arrived to black smelly water and defunct purifying system along with a host of other small issues. Ben Franklin was the only local company who responded immediately with a thorough inspection and quotes to get us clean flowing water. They reworked their schedule to ensure we could be serviced promptly. We ended up using them for our whole house purification system, a new hot water heater, reverse osmosis system and counter install, install of a gas line to my oven and we used their electrical service, Mr. Sparky to add our generator to our panel (just in case!). During the entire process their techs were knowledgeable and patient without being condescending. They worked quickly, cleanly and gave us much needed piece of mind. While others may have been cheaper, there is little chance they could match the professionalism and versatility of Ben Franklin and their trio of providers. We continue to be a part of their TriBrand Membership and have been impressed with their thoroughness and response times. They care about their customers and they do things right!
Price was high but you get what you pay for and being a tradesman I can confirm that statement is very true. Mike represented the company with my call. He was committed to completing the job to make sure me and the kids had water which was more than appreciated, and did a clean/functional job. The pride in his work shows for sure, and because of that pride, commitment, and overall personality, along with final results Id recommend him to anyone for their plumbing needs.
So, I made the appointment over a week ago to have this company come out to repair two bathroom faucets and clean one pipe .They were not only three hours late arriving and the estimate was over $1100.00. When I asked the technician about the reason for the extremely high charge when I know that the parts are $87.00 each, his answer was “ well this includes our labor”. This is not only absurd but extremely unreasonable. Do yourself a favor and look for another company .
Tod advised on what we could do to get rid of the rotten smell coming from our hot water heater. Flushing the hot water heater was not the solution. Tod made considerable recommendations on what would work better. His time and his knowledge was greatly appreciated. I would not think twice about calling Benjamin Franklin plumbing again.
Our service was prompt, excellent, and extremely professional and we’re ever so grateful as we haven’t had a problem but decided that a 25 yr. old hot water tank was an accident waiting to happen, Mr. Reginald was delightful in his estimate & install we couldn’t be happier…They had to return on Friday the 13th no hot water, band manufacturerExcellent servicemen Reggie was great, so was Brandon, a bit upset that a water heater only a week old would go bad, when the previous one lasted 26 years. And we had overnight family members unable to showerA brand new one was installed by Master plumber KevinUpdate last evening again they had to return as we have no hot water, won’t stay lit, service guy asked if I could tried lighting, insulting, this brand is of hot water tank is not reliable we had a 26 year old tank that was GOOD WE WERE PROACTIVE SND THIS US WHAT WE GET; now 9/28/2021 had to order a part no hot water until Monday EPIC FAIL & TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!😡🤬🤯

The tech who came out was very friendly. We just bought a 100 year old home and knew wed want to get the plumbing updated. He inspected the water heater and the plumbing, was very courteous and explained things he saw. Because its such a large job, well have a senior technician out in a week to give us an estimate. Very professional.
Adam Crain was at our house to support the county inspection of the gas line installed to our generator. As with everyone we have met from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Mister Sparky, they have been very professional, friendly, and concerned about our customer experience. I have complete trust in their ability to properly handle any problem I may have in a satisfactory manner and at a reasonable cost.

We had our basement drain clog and this is the 2nd time I’ve used their service…. Super quick to arrive and they were very professional. The guy was here for over 3 hours trying to unclog the drain for us and didn’t give up until the job was done. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Everyone I spoke with at the office was clear about scheduling and details. I like that the company sent a text including a picture of the plumber on the day of service. The plumber, Zack, figured out the problem with our laundry lift pump quickly and gave options as well as how much each would cost. Everyone from the company was courteous and straightforward.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing replaced our sump pump and lid and installed an alarm. It was the original lid and pump, rusted in place. Quite a job to get the old pump out, but the new pump is much more powerful, and the new lid installation and his clean-up after the job was meticulous. The service guy was very professional and courteous.

Our water tank decided to break down ( on a Saturday in the middle of a holiday weekend, no less), so I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing as they advertised for 24/7 emergency services available. They did not disappoint. I had a tech on site within a few hours, and my service expert, Reginald, was outstanding. He was very friendly, professional, and gave me several options for next steps. My tank needed to be replaced (it was 14 yrs old so I new it was time) and Reginald and I looked at what would be the best fit for us. Once decided, he ran to their warehouse, picked up a beautiful new tank, and in about an hour we had hot water flowing again. Many thanks to Reginald who worked his tail off to ensure we had hot water this weekend, even working until nearly 7pm. Also many thanks to the Benjamin Franklin team for making us feel like our needs were important. I would HIGHLY recommend BFP and will certainly use them in the future!
The annual plumbing inspection, including de-scaling of my tankless water heater, was done quickly and efficiently. Liz was friendly and punctual. Separately, Mike came to fix a leaky toilet and was able to get it repaired quickly. He explained everything he did thoroughly as well.
I told the scheduler the brand of Water Heater we had and she gave the standard line that their drivers carried most major parts. When the technician looked at the water heater, his immediate response was, Yeah, we dont service these, but I can call the manufacturer and diagnose...for $108 plus the $129 service fee. Ben Franklin was my 3rd plumber call. The first 2 said they didnt service PowerFlex, which is an acceptable answer. Ben Franklin NEEDS to know that No is an acceptable answer, too. Francis was a nice/professional technician, but this experience was a total rip off.
After having a burst pipe near our water shutoff, I called and they were able to get a plumber out almost immediately. Reggie was able to diagnose the problem and find a way for what seemed like a difficult problem and make it an affordable fix.Update: got our water back on in a matter of 2 hours! Shout out to Reggie, he did an awesome job

I had Benjamin Franklin Plumbing out for their plumbing check that is included in the maintenance plan that I purchased when I got my Furnace from their Sister Company One Hour Heating. Reginald did a great job in my home with an old kitchen drain thats given us issues in the past. He was professional and kept his work area clean at all times. He kept me informed at all times of what he was doing next to avoid any surprises. I would definitely use Benjamin Franklin Plumbing again to help with those home jobs that I dont have the tools or the time to work on myself.
We had a reverse osmosis filter installed and the service was prompt and professional. Several years ago we called around to get quotes and many other businesses wouldnt even return our calls. When we got around to trying again this year, Ben Franklin plumbing answered immediately and had someone out to the house within a few days and had the unit installed a few days after. I will definitely be returning to them with any plumbing needs in the future.A year later I had them come out and repair an outdoor water faucet that was losing pressure. They did a great job again and Ill be coming back with any plumbing needs in the future.
We were suffering from incredibly low water pressure. Lee showed up and quickly identified our problem was due to iron buildup in our pipes that was essentially suffocating the water lines. To fix this we needed to replace our pipes and entire water softening system. While the price seems steep, his knowledge on the work was satisfying. They came out a few days later and performed the work. Aside from the surprise addition of the water pressure tank also needing replaced, we were really pleased with the team and the work. And they were able to get the work done in one day versus two as originally estimated. It’s a relief to have our water flowing properly again with the satisfaction of knowing we have warranties for the work.

While we were unhappy to need to have our 3 year old hot water tank replaced, it was still under warranty and we don’t blame Ben Franklin, but rather the manufacturer. Fingers crossed we don’t have additional issues, but if we do, we’d return to Ben Franklin for service.
Dustin from Benjamin Franklin plumbing came out to our home to diagnose an ongoing water hammering problem with our pipes. I had exhausted all my own efforts to do there reissue myself with not much luck. After about a 15 diagnose, he estimated that our problem was with our new washer we installed a couple years ago. He suggested some mechanical water hammer arrestors installed at the faucet for the water. He gave us a quote but rather than try to sell us on the quote, he said I should be more than capable of installing then myself. I really appreciate his honesty with that. Just finished installing the arrestors so time will tell now. This isnt the first time weve used Benjamin Franklin. We were impressed the first time so theres why we called them again. A good business to use.

Mike Keith and Jack were extremely profesional and knowledgeable and courteous! Everything was installed according to previous conversations, the initial contact through Debbie was immediately the point when I felt comfortable and encouraged to begin the process of entering into an agreement, all of this coming from a retired contractor excavating and masonry flat! I dont have an issue paying a little more as the first 2 quotes were less, We were looking for contract professionals not a homeowner specialty crew with no credentials.All in all a pleasant experience and I would recommend Debbie Mike Keith and Jack M. and Mr Sparky for all your needs.

We had a leak in one of the pipes that ran from our second story to our basement. The technician did an amazing job diagnosing a difficult problem and then addressing to appropriately. They arrived early and the work was done competently within a few hours. It did involve opening up the wall, which made quite a mess. But the technician was polite, and orderly. And even though we will need to replace the drywall, overall, I am as happy as I can considering the circumstances. It really helps to have someone friendly and honest to work with when you are receiving some bad news. I am very happy with the service I received.

Kevin and Drake did an awesome job cleaning up the cluster of pipe in my laundry room and installing my new water softener. The quality of their work is top notch. They found a few other issues I had and explained what needed to be done, so they quoted me the repairs and left me to decide if I wanted to move forward with them. They werent pushy salesman, they just wanted to make sure I knew what is going on with my home. I would recommend Benjamin Franklin to anyone.
They were really good at what they do. They are just pretty expensive compared to other plumbing companies...everything is an extra charge. They dont really do free estimates or payment arrangements so you must pay the entire bill the same day. They did work with us a little and for that I am appreciative.

Come to find out the water heater was under warnety and he talked to the company explained to them the situation and he got them to get someone out here to fix it and repair it at no cost to us. I had a Water line break and these guys were the quickest to be able to get to my house. The service was great. But they do charge a near $100 fee just to have them come look at the issue before giving you a quote. Kind of makes you feel trapped into their quote because you lose the $100 if you dont choose them. Unfortunately I had the EXACT same work done at another house in the fall and it cost almost $150 less from Shields and Sons plumbing. In short these guys are great plumbers and very punctual. But there is a significant premium to their prices.
The plumber was on time. He quickly diagnosed the problem with our sump pump. He then offered us 3 choices on how to fix it, explaining the difference in each choice and gave us the exact price. After our choice was made he quickly got it installed and was on his way.He also gave us some quick advice on another issue which we fixed ourselves and worked perfectly. I would use this company again if needed.
Our technician showed up st the appointed time and was very professional and friendly. He put on foot coverings and assessed the job quickly. After talking through their process and some of the companys offers, he went to work. He worked quickly but very safely, pointing out some things in our sink area that would probably need to be addressed in the not too distant future. He made some recommendations on products and maintenance. We decided, after talking it over with him, to enroll in their organization for yearly inspections and maintenance.Overall I was very happy with the work done.

Hello, my name is Kyle and i had a gas leak in my crawl space. I called consumers to figure it out and all they could tell me was, “yes sir, you have a gas leak.” That was no help, i also called my personal friend of the family heater/cooler guy thinking i would get the works and he said i had no gas leaks. 🤔 I then called your company and within 1 hour, the technician Rob showed up and pinpointed exactly where the gas leak was coming from and had a crew ready to show up first thing the next morning. The tech arrived and did an assessment of the job and attempted to re light my water heater with no success. He gave me multiple options on how to deal with this issue. He also did tell me it could be fix LLPed. I was almost certain that this can be resolved. It has be resolved.

Lee was the technician. He explained everything he was doing, perfectly, in terms I could understand. He also came out to install a whole house water filtration system, to be installed in a few days. Very courteous, personable, and seems to care about his job and our well being.
Our ejector pump was jammed with bottle caps, shower curtain ring, razor head, and even a small screwdriver! Service was very, very good. Dustin was polite, personable, and professional. He is efficient and worked quickly. Its now working perfectly.

He took the time to investigate a number of different potential solutions to our problem and did not hesitate to explore all three crawl spaces in doing so. Benjamin Franklin did an excellent job at my house. They had quite a task in changing locations of my washer & dryer as well as installing 3 new toilets. They did an exceptional job and I would recommend them highly. They are slightly higher in price however they do the job right the first time with highly qualified individuals.
Called for a shower faucet leak. Plumber said the faucet was shot and needed to be replaced. Needed to cut hold in wall. Would cost approximately $700.00. $400.00 if i provided faucet. Must have been some faucet for 300.00. I took shower handle off and found that the one of the parts that connect to the middle shaft had simply become rounded. Replaced myself for $22.48 from home depot and works perfectly.Not sure if repairman had a quota to fill or what. Definitely NOT honest with his diagnosis and solution. Will never use again

The two young men were very pleasant and careful the n removing the toilet. Explain the cost before beginning the repair and careful with the flooring. Comes with a 2 year warranty on their work. Very happy with the service and will use them in the future!
Very pleased with plumbing job well done.Price was higher than anticipated , but the technician was excellent. I would recommend Benjamin Franklin without a doubt.I needed them to come out a second time for a minor fix on the toilet they had worked on. The same plumber came out promptly the day I called and fixed the problem to my satisfaction. There was no charge, so I was very happy. The company stands by their word and their 2 year guarantee on parts and labor. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful.
I had a new washing machine installed at about 2:30 pm. I shut off the water at the main. Washing machine is installed but the valve at the main seized. No water for the entire house. Called the plumber, plumber can’t do anything until the city shuts off the water supply. My head was about to explode. By 3:54pm the same day all work was done. I’m simply amazed Benjamin Franklin was able to squeeze me in in such a short period of time. The plumber started heading my way knowing that I still had to get the city to shut off the water supply to the house. The Plumber they sent was professional, knowledgable and efficient. The replacement valve was installed in less than 20 minutes and the work is about as clean as it can be. A good tradesman is worth thier weight in gold.
The two plumbers who came out were quickly able to diagnosis my plumbing problem. They had to come back the next day with more heavy duty equipment because my plumbing issue was quite complicated. They were both very pleasant. They gave upfront pricing and solved my problem. Id have Ben Franklin Services back for future issues that I may encounter. They are honest, straightforward, and know their craft. Even the person I spoke with on the phone was very accommodating to my schedule.
I wanted a new kitchen sink and faucet installed that I purchased at Home Depot. Both were comparable with plumbing and same size sink as old one.....so no extra cutting was needed. It was a very straight forward project. I was quoted almost $800. I said no and they collected the $79 service call and were on their way. I hired a handy man to do it and he charged me $50 and it took him a half an hour. Job was perfect. In my opinion, something is very wrong with their pricing. It is outrageous! Call someone else.

Really nice people. Prices were very reasonable. They sent nice Professional gentlemen out to do the work. My hot water heater was still under warranty they took care of everything including dealing with the manufacturer. My dad needed work so I recommended them and they took care of him too. Very pleased. I live in condos and I put their flyers up in all three buildings. Ive had bad experiences in the past with unprofessional plumbers so it was nice to see this company has its act together. They would even send reminders about your upcoming appointment and a picture of the guy they were sending out.
They were fast and efficient from first phone call to the complete job. Great communication and text updates were great! I’ve read reviews they are slightly higher in price but I’ll take great service and speed for a slightly higher price. Will use again if needed.

Had Plumbing completed in Kitchen, Garbage disposal was cracked and sink faucet was broken. He gave us pricing up front, and allowed us to install a parts we purchased from big box store. He did a great job replacing the sink faucet and garbage disposal. The work was fast and friendly, and price was acceptable. We are very happy with work.

I had BFP come out to hookup the gas line to a built-in outdoor BBQ. The tech texted to see if it was OK to come early. As promised, he did, and the installation was completed quickly and correctly. I will certainly contact BFP whenever I need plumbing work done.
We have used Benjamin Franklin Plumbing numerous times over the years. Each time the call center is always kind, helpful, and proficient in setting up appointments. The technicians weve had are always professional, do wonderful work, and are friendly. They do their best in finding the most affordable and efficient way in helping fix the problem. Definitely recommend this company and will continue to use them.
Unfortunately for 5 years we have struggled with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. I trusted my business facility with their work and kept having problems over and over causing business interruption. I will say the manager of the service techs did try his hardest to help and at one point decreased the service fee due to the misdiagnosis. That was the only decent part of the experience. We were sold new hot water tanks, a pumping system and new plumbing work even though the plumbing was only 5 years old.The tech really pushed a warranty on the tanks saying this way we never have to worry if something in the future goes wrong.The First time a tank failed, they said it was our fault due to low salt in the softener and our warranty is canceled. I had proof of salt delivery from our water softener company, but that didnt matter.The second tank that failed, we were told they would replace it, however, we had to pay $670 in labor, a restocking fee and a paperwork fee....NOT NEGOTIABLE.We were stuck with a business full of guests where we use water and had our backs up against the wall and had to pay it.Finally, when speaking with a couple of general contractors, I was informed they will not sub contract Benjamin Franklin because their technicians are trained to get that bill as high as possible no matter what.I do not feel good about writing this review as I am a business owner myself and understand how it can affect them, but I feel it is important for others to know how much they focus on getting more and more added to that bill and not on the customer. I was so sad to see this happen in our community.

We have had Benjamin Franklin Plumbing out for 3 different projects and each time they were very punctual, we were also notified they were on the way and could track them. We were provided pictures of who was coming and they were very professional in appearance and in their work. We received an estimate prior to starting and detailed explanations prior and after completion. Of course the most important aspect is they did a great job!
Called on Saturday about an issue, and they came out the next Monday. Really great how they text a pic of WHO from their team is coming over to the house.They were able to inspect the situation quickly and get me pointed in the right direction to repair the toilet. Set up for appt if replacing the toilet was that same week and the gentleman who performed the replacement was courteous, neat and did a good job.Would highly recommend this company!

Our water heater broken during a busy plumbing season, when many techs were dealing with flood issues. Originally it would have been a few days wait time, but there was a cancellation and someone was able to come the next day. The master plumber who came was very personable and friendly. He said his day would probably be an 18 hour one, but he took his time, which was several hours, and when he finished, the even the pipes running to our water heater looked better, more simplistic. Pricing was easy and straightforward. We enjoyed having him and would do so again if another need arose.
Zack and Jacob were excellent in their work, they talked through the process and adjusted their installation to my wishes. They stayed fully masked at the job and wore shoe covers in the house. I am very satisfied with the entire experience.

I was pleased to have prompt service when (on a Saturday) our water heater started leaking. The problem was quickly diagnosed and a variety of solutions proposed.Our new water heater was installed on Monday and the plumber was careful to cover the carpets with tarps so that there was no mess to clean up when he was finished. He was friendly, professional, explained all of our options and was even willing to stay late on *Christmas Eve* to get it installed! Great experience. The technician (Francis) was knowledgeable and kind, although he was heading into his 13th hour. He replaced a sump pump after we got flooded because the old one failed. Did a great job and had it all done in about 1:30 hours.
I was able to schedule an appointment the next day after calling. They sent me a message about my technician and a photo so I knew who was coming. Upon arrival, he was very well spoken and professional and did not upsell the job and only did what needed to be done. He even helped me with other issues I had going on in the house without asking and looked into them for me. A little pricey but the quality of the work reflects it. You get what you pay for. Id reccomend them.
I called Sunday afternoon with an emergency water leak. The customer representative was able to set up an emergency appointment for the next day! Ben Franklin was prompt upon arrival and walked me through a few options. I decided while they were onsite, I would redo our entire pressure tank, softener and brine tank to minimize the foot print of our mechanical room. Dustin was super helpful and promised the job could be completed before 4pm. They removed everything and replaced it all. Ben Franklin plumbing delivered on all promises. The down time with no water for our home was worth the price of the entire repair. Dont go shopping around, this is your first and only call!

We had BFP diagnose a sewage backup issue. Lee came and it took him about 10 seconds to know what was wrong.........bad sewage grinder pump. Lee had the old one out and the new one in, in about 2 hours. Very courteous and thorough. I would hire Ben Franklin Plumbing again anytime, hands down. Highly recommend.
I have used Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for the last 3 plumbing jobs I needed done. Their customer service and communication are great! They fixed a tub with very low pressure and a leak, intalled a new water line for refrigerator/ice maker, and installed a new diposal. I like that they will use the parts that I purchased when I intended to do the job myself and realized I was in over my head. They even identified an additional issue where the drain pipe was not up to code while installing a disposal in a rental property. Fixing this resolved an issue with a bad sour smell that we couldnt find and thought was the carpeting. I was so happy Kyle mentioned this because after the new carpet was installed we would have continued to have the smell and not know why. Kyle and Lee are both great plumbers! I found out they are both former military and that Benjamin Franklin employs many that have formally served. I appreciate that their policy supports vets and my guess is they do this because they find them to be reliable, hard-working, and smart. With each service my options and pricing were explained clearly with patience and respect. Especially as s a woman this is important to me so I dont feel like Im being taken advantage of. I feel their prices have been very fair for the quality work that was done. You cant go wrong with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.
We had a leak we needed fixed and so we contacted a few places for a quote. One company told us it would be nearly $80 to just come out to our house and then they would charge us some insane amount every fifteen minutes that they were here. No thanks! Benjamin Franklin gave us a little bit of a discount on the cost to just come out since we were first time customers and then they charged by the project not by time. Since we had someone coming we decided we might as well see if, in addition to the toilet, he could fix a problem we have had with a shower for twelve years. We have had others try to fix it before but nothing they had done had worked. The plumber called and texted when he was on his way, same day service, very kind and diagnosed and fixed the toilet right away. The shower took a little longer. He had never encountered the problem we had before, so he called someone who had been in the business a little longer. He tried everything they could come up with but it still had problems. They told us the last thing they could do, what the cost would be and worked with us to set up a good time since the job would take several hours. When he came back he had talked to another plumber and tried another fix before tearing the shower apart. Luckily, it worked. It was a simple fix and he didn’t have to tear the shower apart. I would definitely recommend Benjamin Franklin and they would be our first call for any future problems.

Then when the plumber got here he said because you dont work on manufactured homes from underneath it will be a lot more expensive. $1200 for a water line for an ice maker. Then get charged $89.00! ARE YOU KIDDING!
The technician Mike was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job. Made sure I was satisfied with the job. I am a repeat customer of Ben Franklin plumbing. I will be using them again when needed.

Jacob and Nick were the representatives that came to my house. They were early, extremely professional, knew their trade, installed the garbage disposal very quickly and extremely pleasant to talk to. Other issues happened after they left it was a horrible experience I do not recommend this company for anything contact the better Business bureau
I Left 2 message for Gary at office. I called his personal cell phone. I have yet to get a returned call. You want me to call you yet you dont answer.Ineed an owner to call me. My elderly mother was FINANCIALLY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. $294 for a replacement gas valve from floor. The service man was here a total of 20 minutes. I priced this valve at HOME DEPOT $25. I understand $79 to come out to home. I wish I was at her home during this repair. It would have never happened. I am sorry i was at work. Your staff is absolutely extremely rude.
I had recently purchased my first home and found that a lot of the plumbing in my basement was not up to code. The team at Benjamin Franklin were great to work with. They called and emailed about appointments and even came back to fix an issue I had found next day. I recommend these guys!!

Benjamin Franklin was great. They fit me in the same day I called about my water heater leaking. They came out quick and did a great job replacing my water heater.
First, if they come to quote, no matter what you will pay $80 and that fee is not going to be absorbed by their work if you decide to go with them (which 99%of companies offer). Second, they gave me an outrageous quote for 2 hours of work, which shakes out to about 400/hour for labor. There is no way I will ever pay a person 400/hr for labor for a basic install of a sink. This felt like a total scam and now they have walked away with $80 to do NOTHING. We had this same project quoted around $300 total from several other plumbers but they had a couple weeks wait time so we were still shopping around. Run away from this place, they clearly make a lot of money off of service fees and are comfortable enough with themselves to bid themselves out of work. Never again and no level of master plumber is worth 400/hr. This felt like a total scam.
What a rip off! I was charged $279 for installation of a faucet we provided. There was no quote before the work was started. I spoke with the company and they claimed I actually got a discount. I will use an independent small business in the future. This place is ridiculously expensive and couldn’t care less about the customer. I had to call twice to get my receipt emailed and to talk to a manager. The manager claimed he left me a voice mail which I never could find.

Not only did they fix my problem with fluctuating water temperatures in the master bathroom shower, they solved an ongoing issue Ive had with the excessive amount of time it took to get hot water in my kitchen and laundry room. Two problems solved for the price of one! I was thrilled.
First of all, I appreciate that they answer their phone live 24/7. I can usually get an appointment within one business day. They arrive within the promised time period. The technicians are prompt, friendly and knowledgeable, and they clean up after themselves. Their workmanship is great. Also, their prices are fair and competitive.

Ive used Ben Franklin for all my houses plumbing projects and have had no issues with their work. Most recently was a toilet tank rebuild and water supply line valve replacement. Always pleased with their work.
It is a rip off! I was a land lord about several years ago, living out of state. Had to call a plumber for replacing kitchen faucet and to fix a small leak in the basement. When i called Franklin they told me they charge by an hour. If i was there i would have don it for a couple of hours max. Guess what? The plumber stayed in the house for seven hours and Ive got a bill for about $900. Be careful with these guys!

Replaced the original cast iron sewer line from 100 years ago (not an exaggeration, the house was built in the 1920s). They were very professional and left everything clean. Super happy, stress relieved, 100% would recommend.

We called to get a leak in our basement repaired. They showed up in the time range we were given, called when on the way, were very professional. They gave us an estimate for the repair and were able to complete the work immediately! Afterwards everything was explained and the repairs were shown to me and estimates were given on two jobs that we want done in the future. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Howell is our plumber! We will use them for all of the plumbing work we need done!
Water heater went out Saturday morning. Called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing around 9am and a tech, Joe, was at my house within an hour. Joe was friendly and knowledgeable. Ill definitely call them again if I need plumbing, electrical, or HVAC repairs.
They came out earlier than they said which was perfect because our water softener and water heater were both broken! 2 days later it was all fixed and our water stopped smelling like eggs from a swamp thing!

We experienced a sump pump failure this past weekend. Naturally it happened after getting 2.5 of rain Friday night. It was the only time I wished it had been below freezing.Other attempts to get a contractor were difficult due the amount of backup an flooding in the area. I was able to speak with an individual at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and assured a technician would be available on Saturday. They were contacting all technicians to come in due to the water energencies. While we hoped it had been quicker we understood calls were being handled in the order received, situation and availability of staff. When the tech arrived he was extremely helpful and replaced the pump and stayed to ensure the pump was working properly despite it having been a long day for him. We are grateful because there was a pump malfunction and had to be replaced again. Had he not gone the step it would have further delayed the restoration crew and furance and water heater repairmen from connencing their work. The technician was professional, courteous and empathic. We will be recommending Ben Franklin Plumbing to our friends and acquaintances due to our experience with their employees.
Called on Friday evening about a leaky faucet. The plumber arrived on Sat afternoon. The main office called us about 30 minutes before he arrived. The plumber (Joe) was a great guy, knows his stuff, very professional, polite and courteous. Helped us diagnose and fix the issue quickly.

2022-01-05We had a trouble toilet that has gotten progressively worse over three years. We called Benjamin Franklin in the morning and they scheduled an appointment for us in the afternoon. Within less than an hour, the dispatcher called and said they had a cancellation and could send someone out sooner if we were available. Matt came by in an hour (we live about that far away from Howell) and immediately began diagnosing the toilet issues. He also checked all our other bathrooms and plumbing to make sure there was no systemic issue. After removing the toilet and analyzing the plumbing, he deduced that there was some very old buildup of a mystery substance in the pipes which he cleaned out. After reattaching the toilet he discovered the problem had not resolved. He tried servicing the toilet itself, but that still did not work. Finally, he gave us our options for a new toilet and immediately went and picked up and installed the toilet the same day. He was incredibly professional, kind, thorough, and really took the time to go over the issue with us. The service was timely and expertly performed, and the price was very reasonable. Thank you to Matt and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, we will definitely use your service again.

2022-01-23Replaced all the bad plumbing under the kitchen sink. Also cut out a section of leaking copper pipe above the hot water heater. Both jobs were done perfect. I recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. I have used them twice and the service professionals arrived when they said they would. They were courteous and did their jobs very professionally. I will always use them for any plumbing issues that come up.

2021-12-10We first used Benjamin Franklin Plumbing last year when part of our sewer pipe needed repair. Marcus was our tech for that and he was great. This year we started having a bit of a sewage backup again and dreaded the sewer pipe needing fixing again. Charles came out super early, was professional and communicated excellent. He was great to work with and helped us solve our issue. Because of the problems we had we signed up for their yearly membership which is $20 a month to have everything from electrical to hvac checked, and then plumbing on hand. Having spent over $9k on our repair, $240 a year is a steal and well worth it to have securities put in place to make sure everything is working properly and safe.

They arrived on time, wore masks and booties, laid down carpet protector and cleaned up after completion of the job. We went from a traditional water heater to a tankless and we couldnt be happier!
