EXCELLENT service and workmanship! I have had mechanical and collision work done (Subaru) and have been quoted less than 2 other reputable shops AND the dealership itself. Dave is fantastic and has always worked to offer solid options! The staff is very approachable and kind enough to answer any and all questions/concerns -plus meet your timeline if needed. Highly recommend this business.
I write few reviews but when I am impressed by a small business owner, I just have to share.You have to be very careful when selection a collision shop so I work off of referrals only. I was referred to the owner “Dave” of Berkley Collision. I had a lease to turn in and had side-swiped a parking garage cement guard. Ended up denting my door, handle, quarter-panel pretty bad. Dave inspected it and came up with a plan that would pass the lease turn in requirements that was less expensive than a traditional repair. So I opted to pay out of pocket vs an insurance claim. Well Dave did it in the promised time frame, so I did not miss my turn in due date, and did it $400 cheaper than the estimate. Wow! Very friendly service, professional, honest, and helped me achieve my goal affordable. Yes there is still honesty in the world.If you need collision work, I highly recommend.
I have been using Berkley Collision since our first auto accident for over 23 years. Dave and Ron today went beyond the call. I need to have a car diagnosed for trade in to the dealership. Dave recommend to have them look at the car and determine what was wrong instead of taking the lower trade in value. This is just one example . Dave has help me in pricing out cars for years and knows cars like know one else. Thanks you again Dave and Ron. I bought a new car and will be trading in the car to the dealership and the dealership will be fixing the problem that was diagnosed today after I trade it in. You both Menches.
Impeccable service. Go to Dave for any of your auto needs! He not only wil work with you on the price (and beat ANY estimate given by another shop) but he understands when you cannot afford to get absolutely everything fixed at once and unlike most salesmen isnt overly pushy about it. My favorite part was that when my car insurance denied my claim and I fought it, Dave helped me by calling Allstate almost every day in addition to my calls to speed up the process of the claim refute. Although Allstate tried to ignore my calls for over a week, it was Daves additional persistence and patience that helped me get the coverage I deserved. Their service is timely, professional and immaculate. Even though I did not get all of the external damage to my car fixed, his crew cleaned up my car so well I felt I was driving a brand new one! Thank you Berkley Collision!! I will be coming back once I save up more money.
Have taken 2 Infiniti cars here at different times and both times not only was the service fast and friendly but on both occasions , my car ended up needing less work then they had originally quoted me and instead of doing the work anyways to get more money, they were honest and saved me money. As a female, it can be nerve-wracking to deal with mechanical issues but Dave and the whole staff never once made me feel like I was in anything less then great hands. Thanks guys!
Had an issue with a tow bill and insurance not wanting to pay. Dave was understanding of the entire situation and communicated well, especially since I decided to not get my car fixed. 5/5, if forbidding I get into another accident in a car thats worth it to fix Ill for sure be bringing it here.
Had a head-on accident and they fixed the external damage but never took off the tires to check for under-bumper or frame-work damage. (I know this, because my tires require a key and even I had no idea where we had stored the keys.) Took it back two more times with front-end noises and was told that my 2017 (it is 2018 right now) Escape was getting older and a small car and that these noises are normal. I had NO noises prior to my accident too. I ended up having to take it to RO Ford and they found the damage after removing the tires. Fortunately my insurance company (Cimcinnati Insurance) stood behind me as their customer and had Ford finish the job properly. No more noise now, thanks to RO Ford.
It’s great to be at a place where the proprietor himself drives a ten-year-old car “I have to, says Dave; “It’s the only way I can park in the front. Otherwise, people keep hitting it. And it’s always the newer more expensive cars!”Because Dave understands what it’s really like to drive a car on the crowded roads of Southwest Michigan – an area with NO viable public transportation – I felt a lot better about leaving my car (an eight-year-old) in the care of his establishment.In the beginning:someone hit-and-ran my parked car in the Wayne State University area of Detroit two years ago (bumper, rear quarter panel). A watching neighbor left their information on my car. I pursued the claim against the driver and had my car repaired at a place at the corner of Inkster and Michigan and for the next two years I had no idea it was “an inferior repair” – as the Berkley Collision called it – until someone else hit in my car in the same spot on the same block, two year later! This is all probably due to the angle parking on the street.Neighbors took pictures of the damage and described the car to me but the silver lining was that the young driver that hit me had the integrity to leave her name and number. Her mother, who works in some capacity for the Berkley police department and whose husband is a police officer there, persuaded me to have it repaired at a reliable place that the BPD “does a lot of business with,” she said. So that’s how I found myself at Berkley Collision, and boy did they make me happy!Why?Because even though they could never promise anything – “I can’t promise” is Dave’s mantra – my car was still ready two days earlier than they said they would be, and it matched the older paint perfectly, and they were able to close the gap separating the quarter panel from the bumper (the earlier repair was re-opened during the second accident) significantly.Still taking it in the end…I was hit again! On the same street in THE SAME SPOT; it must have been on the day I was moving out of the WSU area (thank God)! But this one was such a light bump that only Dave’s hand across the bumper could detect that it was hit. I thought the repair they had done to the quarter panel had come lose and didn’t know it had been caused by a THIRD bumper hit until Dave told me.This time (for the first time ever at any collision shop) they took me inside the sacred chamber and showed me my car disassembled. The first repair place had bonded the plastic bumper to the metal quarter-panel clip, in what the repair technician at Berkley Collision termed an “inferior repair.”Dave informed me that I had no legal recourse to the first shop because the car had been hit twice since it had been first repaired so the techs asked me for some direction in what I wanted done. I said I just wanted the gap in the quarter panel closed. “I just want this side to look like the other side. Use a screw if you have to; just try to find a flush one and make paint it to match the quarter panel. And on their busiest day of the week, while adjusters and paying customers were coming in and out, they did just that. And it looked great! Again!Bottom line…They made me feel like I was driving a special order Ferrari….and that what I wanted. That’s what everyone wants, right? And how much did it cost me? Not a dime. How much was it worth to me? Priceless. They have my business for life. Their speed, accuracy and professionalism have earned my business for life. –WL Bush
Well it is very disappointing when the manager of the shop talked to you in disrespectful way or sounds hr does not care if get help or not. Also, they gave me an estimate before with certin time fram when I brought the car back, that manger refuse to do it. I am very happy that there are a lot of collision shops where we get better help and service.
Very unimpressed by this shop. Quoted $200 for a repair and proceeded to charge $700 after completion. Quoted an additional $800 for a repair that another shop completed for $300. Unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket, I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.
Took my car here to have the front bumper repainted. Went to pick it up a week and half later. Bumper looked terrible. No prep work had been done before painting at all. Was told that the work matched the condition of the rest of the car. Dave said he would repaint the car. After repainting it looks better but when the light hits the paint you can see drip marks and just bad craftsmanship. I beg you do not take your car here if you care about the quality of the work. I am having my car repainted and done correctly now at a better place.

2021-09-22Everything was awesome, they did a fantastic job on my van and in a timely fashion and at a great price.( I asked the mechanic to check something totally different from what I brought it in for and he did without charging). Everyone was friendly and pleasant. Cant say anything but good things about Berkley Collision inc.

2021-08-05I stopped in due to some noises my car was making. I explained what was going on and Ron and team fit me in immediately (due to safety concerns). Turns out, it was not recommended that I drive my car off the lot. Ron fit me in right away and was able to secure the part and fix my car within 1.5 days. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the customer service nor the craftsmanship at this location!! Can’t say enough good things!

2020-06-26OUTSTANDING service and quality work. From the moment I called to the moment I arrived for pickup, everything went smoothly. David was very friendly, professional, and personable. My vehicle was fixed within the promised time frame. They went above an beyond and took care of a few extra things as well. My vehicle was returned clean and ready! The price was reasonable and fair. I highly recommend this shop and will continue to use them should the need arise!

2020-12-02If you don’t know anything about auto body, you better know the management team. Was referred by a local friend and glad that he did. One of the best auto body repair shops I’ve ever done business. Dave, the manager, is honest and highly knowledgeable; a rare commodity in an industry which can easily cut corners, at your expense, and without you ever knowing the difference. A superbly-operated small business.

2020-10-20Ron was so nice! Gave me a great deal on a dent to remove and repaid and he looked at my brakes too! Got my car back when he said I would!! One thing I didn’t like was that no one offered to show me the work that was done when I came to pick it up. I would have liked someone to come out and show me what was done etc. Nevertheless, I will be taking my vehicles to Rom in the future.
