Best Buy in other cities:
KOCEILA AND THIS STORE, ROCK! What a fantastic experience! My son (16) and I had driven up yesterday from Whitmore Lake to go to the Nike outlet, Kensington Valley Varsity (to order a jacket) and Platos Closet. All were closed due to the storm, so we decided to stop in and browse at Best Buy. We were asked several times, politely and without pressure if we could use some help (I think Brad may have been one of them). When Koceila checked on us, I asked if he could help with setting me up with recording for a YouTube channel. He got me a nice 4k webcam, boom Mike, circle lights and suggestions on software. Everything I needed. You dont get this kind of service online. Just sayin. People make the difference and Koceila is one of the good ones. :)
Staff at this Best Buy are very nice and if you’re a semi truck driver it’s not too hard to park near here and go shop if you need. People are trucker friendly and will tell you your truck is OK if you’re parked in a good spot, not the parking lot but either behind the building or on the side.
What a fiasco. Went in to buy a clothes dryer. Had the model picked out, but not a sample on the floor. We waited our turn while the salesperson finished with another customer. This too about 20 minutes, but that gave us time to look at other models. When he got to us, the computer wasnt working so we walked over to another. He was able to find what we wanted and was about to process our purchase when his manager told him to stop helping us and instead help the next customer in queue. We would have to go put our name in behind all those who came in after us. We left without making a purchase. I have no problem with the queue process, but tell us when we enter the store not after being there for a half hour. Wont go back!
They usually have what I want in stock, and the employees are all very helpful. Ive had unfortunate luck with my computer and had to have it replaced twice, but both times the staff were very efficient about getting it fixed. They also babysat my phone for me during a particularly long and difficult upgrade process, and set aside the phone I wanted to reserve it. As someone who loves new tech, the Brighton store is great.
Sold me a defective tv with visual glitches on the screen. A SonyX90J 75 inch that costed me $1700. Now I have a tv that doesnt work right and I have to go through sony to get it replaced or fixed which is turning into a nightmare. Thanks for scamming me out of my money
I have had 2 of the midst positive customer experiences at this store in the last couple months, both in fairly significant purchases. First was a stove purchased for a new home, when received it was damaged, after failed attempts to resolve over the phone by going into the store the issue was resolved very quickly and hassle free. On the most recent purchase a cell phone was on sale with a significant trade in, salesman made an error in the value of my trade in, after a week I returned to the store and when he realized the mistake he worked to make it right to both our satisfaction. I did not have to make a fuss he just did what was necessary to right a wrong. This store is definitely my go to store.
It was odd that not one staff member asked us if they could assist us with anything. The store itself was clean, stocked well, easy to navigate, and had a good selection of the items we were looking for. The cashier was friendly and attentive with us and other customers who asked him questions. Overall a good experience. Im sure if we really wanted a sales persons help they would help us. So if you want no Hassel buying, this location was great.
Quick service and all staff was helpful!Edit....Changing my review....took in for a repair, gave info. Said theyd call and they ignored my info. And shipped elsewhere. Then transferred me to someone and disconnected, making assumptions. Not good enough, they are inconveniencing me and putting me out. Unacceptable!
My three star rating went down from five stars because one of the employees tried to tell me that my Android was on its way out and that I needed a new phone. I bought the new phone and made an appointment to get it activated the following day. When I got home, my Android worked just fine because the problem was with Google. All Android users that day were having problems due to issues at Google. Our apps were crashing and our Gmail was inaccessible. I read about it and thought about it, but the guy avoided the Google issue and continue to tell me that either my battery was going dead or my phone was on its way out. I told him, its not the battery, I just replaced it. He continued to say that my phone was on its way out and I needed a new phone. So, he sold me a new phone that I did not need. Once I confirmed that my phone was just fine and that the problem was with Google, I canceled my appointment and I took the phone back and got my money back. You did get three stars because in the past Ive had good experiences with best buy. If they had all been like this one, you would have gotten one star. It was a case of a man trying to take advantage of a woman, thinking she didnt know anything about the Google problem the Android users were having. He convinced me for a brief moment that my phone really needed replacing. Glad I wasnt the stupid woman he thought I was, and that I was able to figure it out on my own. So this time I solved the problem, not your Geek Squad!
This place doesnt honor the word of their managers nor do they follow Michigan retail laws fully. Kyle the Theater manager seems to be very discriminative. I am following this visit up with the Consumers protection division of the Attorney Generals office. I just drove 2 hours round trip to another Best Buy to get what I needed. I think I would have had better luck with Amazon at least they have great customer service.
As Im not a frequent flyer for best buy, THOSE that I happen to talk to knew quite a bit about wiring AND stereos.. however they didnt have EXACTLY what I was looking for at the time they did offer some advice and Ill continue with it at a car audio center NEXT.. GREAT Job by ea. Staff member there.. yeah, Id go to THIS one again..
I am Doing this review for my mother in law she has been a client of Best Buy Brighton for so many years. She went in there the other day for iPad help that she purchased from there and was told they couldn’t help her all she wanted was assistance downloading a App and when she requested to speak to a manager she was told That the manger is to busy to talk to her, she found the manager on her own and approached him whom was standing at the door doing nothing and had no desire to help she left frustrated and wondered why she is bothering to pay for a service from geek squad when they cannot even stand behind what they are suppose to do .do NOT recommend.
Usually everything is good here BUT today I went in and put my name on the waiting list for help with buying a new phone. I already knew which phone and really just needed help getting it out and taking it to the front. Quick easy few minute job right? I waited 15 mins before I walked up to see where I was on the list. I was told I was next. After another 10 mins without help we decided to just leave and buy nothing as we had other things to be doing. I needed to ask 2 questions about the phone and then purchase it. I didnt expect that to be a 30 minute ordeal.
Went in to buy new phones. First associate was quite helpful but he needed to hand us off to another. Couldnt get any attention from that one. Too busy chatting and showing his coworker pics on his phone even though he was told we were there. Waited and waited but eventually took my money elsewhere. Will keep this experience in mind for future purchases.
We entered the store told the guy at the front what we were interested in. he had it pointed Us in the right direction said somebody will be there in a minute we waited and waited went back up to the front and said are you sending somebody and one of employee that work there said I can help him and he said no you got your own Department so went back and waited for a couple minutes. Then walked out no service
Worst customer service, my wife and I went there to purchase a top of the line lap top for my sons schooling. We stood in the store for over 20 minutes and not one sale representative came over to ask if we needed help. They were all at the front of the store BSing. As we walked out, we walked by several employs, and still no one asked if we needed help. (didnt matter it was too late, all ready mad) They all want to be paid top dollar but no one wants to do any thing for the pay
Great place to buy your electronic needs. Always friendly and knowledgeableUPDATE: I bought a over the range microwave 2 years ago along with the extended warranty . Well the microwave broke and they came out to repair it of course they needed to order parts and guess what ? The parts where on backorder and had no ETA. Best Buy calls me and says they are replacing the microwave to my surprise I was like are you for real? They are and I received a new microwave at no cost. I didnt have to call them at all. Thats a great service BUY the extended warranty from Best Buy its worth it.
I have always shopped at this store. The people are always helpful. Now they are test store for a new customer service model. It is one of the worst customer service ideas I have seen in a long time. I get it from a labor/staffing idea during a pandemic. Safety is paramount. But if they plan on adopting this for future way of doing business, they may not like the outcome. I have an extreme amount of patience but I over heard griping that it was taking forever from other customers. Love you BestBuy. Please listen to your fan base.
I would give them zero stars if I could. The customer service is terrible for repairs. Everybody is standing around doing nothing and they definitely take their time helping you. When they do help you they find every excuse they can to make you pay for it even if its something that should be covered under warranty. They have no business doing repairs for Apple. It was a waste of time to come out here and now I have to go to an Apple store anyway. Save your time and go someplace else.
We shopped for a laptop for my father over the holiday weekend. I am an IT Manager in Virginia. The employee that helped us was knowledgeable, made sure we had everything needed without being pushy. His customer service skills were excellent! I wish he lived in Virginia so I could swipe him for my team! Store was clean, everyone with masks and we felt comfortable shopping. It was a very good experience and highly recommend shopping at this Best Buy!
This is a nice bestbuy but sometimes has stock issues as its small town Michigan and its to be expected.Theyre always helpful though and not pushy when you tell them you are just looking around. Also carry some nice limited run switch games from time to time.Ive only done 2 returns here in all my time but both were easy and quick.
If I could leave zero stars I would. My husband and I are down here for the day, and figured we’d stop in to get what we needed, instead of going back to Flint. I was only greeted once, and that was by the person at the front door. We went back to the laptop area, and we weren’t even acknowledged once. We waited for over an hour before we left to store. I understand since Covid, places are short staffed, but to see employees walking around the store with customers, playing with the appliances, and even taking a second to offer to find someone to help us, acknowledged we were there, is uncalled for. Definitely will not be back to this store ever again.
I purchased several items online and used curbside pickup. The items were very quickly delivered to my car within minutes of checking in at my pickup spot out front. Matt came out and loaded me up with a smile. Very fast, friendly, and efficient. Well done. Good system.
I ordered my mom a echo show10 generation last week. They told me i could get it on Saturday the 8th. When i got to the store. Im standing in front of the greeters in store pickup. Im first. He looks over me to wait on the white couple that was walking in. I went to customer service but was send back to store pickup. They told me it wasnt there and they didnt know when it would be. I was so upset because it was a special gift for my mom. I was treated so bad there that day. I called the Service line to complain and maybe talk to someone who would understand. He was just as rude me. I asked his name. He said RAZ and i work for bestbuy family call center. Awful didnt even care. At first i was going to close my account Ive had with them 8 years still might. But the next day i went to Novi they were out. They sent me to brighten they had one. I rode an hour to get my mom this gift for mothers day. And then i couldnt get the deal i was offered in the beginning the show the light bulb and the indoor camera. Awful. But my 85 year old mom was so happy. Bestbuy shame on you. Mattie
Lived in Brighton my whole life and have shopped at this location several times. We just recently moved back to town and needed new computer mice. First time we went in we were greeted only after having made it half way towards the aisle and past the employees. We made it back to where we needed and found a poor selection of computer mice and keyboards that we were looking for, they have the generic gaming things that everyone buys but arent amazing. We headed to checkout and were in line and at the register fairly quickly as there were hardly any customers in store. The woman who checked us out (an older woman who i did not get a name of) was distracted and helping everyone else and was in a rush. She clicked all the buttons on the pinpad for us assuming that because our name was right when she asked that our address was as well, even though we had just moved. I let it slide as I knew what address we had on that specific account. She then proceeded to engage with others and had an attitude from checking us out. We tried to get out as fast as we can as it was a very unpleasant interaction. After going home and trying the mouse that my husband bought he realized it was not the right one and we were going to go back to return and get the other one he had his eyes on. Again we walked in the following day, and headed to the register. Another older woman, different from the first, processed our return after she had to ask whether we were purchasing or returning while trying to hand our receipt to her. She was also having trouble looking up our phone number and said we either didnt have an account or the phone number was wrong. We had to give the phone number again and she processed the return with an attitude, similar to that of the first lady. We again made our way back to mice and keyboards and my husband found the mouse he wanted the first time we went in and I picked one up as well. We went back up to the registers to pay and again checked out, but this time with a different employee. He was very respectful and had great customer service unlike the first 2 ladies we encountered. If there was another Best Buy closer to us we would take our business there otherwise we are sticking to Amazon as they have more stock than this best buy has and their customer service is 100 times better.
We ordered online and loved the new curbside pickup. I especially liked that the pickup was entirely an online experience without requiring entrance into the store or a phone call. A few smartphone clicks and our location in the parking lot was noted and the item was quickly brought out to us by a friendly employee. I was completely satisfied.
They downsized the blu-ray/DVD section to half an aisle and have steadily been downsizing the gaming section as well. They also got rid of the gamers club unlocked like 2 years ago. The PC gaming section is also lacking and the prices are much higher than at microcenter or Amazon. Suffice to say, there is VERY little reason for me to come in and browse anymore outside of the holiday season. So dissapointing.
I tried calling the store because I believe I may have dropped something in the store. The guy answering the phone said he has no way to contact the actual store just to ask if anyone turned in my items... so I guess corporate Best Buy only communicates with their stores by email? I should have gotten a store email... not fun customer service :(
This rating is solely for my visit today. Normally employees here are helpful and will take time to get what you need. Today was polar opposite of that. I had found a sign for buy one get one half off of switch games with no exclusions on the sign. When I took two games to the register they rang up regular price so I asked the cashier why they werent on sale. His reply was I dont know. I dont work that department Since he didnt seem to care to help, I went back to electronics to find someone there. Asked an employee back there and their answer was again, Oh I dont know why, I cant help you.
This store is awful. I called there for a question about TVs and was on hold for 35 minutes. Then, after someone did answer, they didnt know what they were talking about and said they had to transfer me to Home Theatre. I said I dont want to wait on hold for another 1/2 hour and they said, it should be 10 minutes or less or maybe directly through. I was on hold for another 5 minutes before I was cut off. The next day I was in the store and couldnt get a straight answer from the so-called expert in TVs. The alleged manager, Nick, was too lazy to get off his spotty fat rear to help answer any questions. I will never go into Best Buy again. There are far better resources for electronics. No wonder they are in trouble.
The people in the store were not the major issue. But corporate and the customer service were ridiculous. Not to mention the whole delivery aspect. When I initially went in to buy the machine I walked around the store several times waiting on a family member and not one time was I asked if I needed help. Raymond was nice. But based off of the whole experience I will not be back.
Great retail experience! I went to the Brighton store hoping to find someone who could help me make a decision about monitors. Paul was amazingly helpful and attentive, answered all our questions and went out of his way to ensure we could interface with the screen we were considering. He made the purchase as painless as possible and we walked out happy with product in hand.A few days later I had trouble ordering additional monitors of the same type... Constantin was extremely helpful getting me what I needed and definitely went on and above to make sure I was able to get what I was looking for. Kaylee at the service desk was also very helpful and was able to take over from Constantin and get the additional items ordered right then and there.I am not frequently impressed with retail experiences and this was two outstanding interactions with three separate employees over a few days. I will definitely be going straight to Brighton Best Buy for all my tech needs. Thanks again!
I live 40 mins away from this store and was searching for a certain radio for my truck.Says they have it at this store but i needed to make an installation appt. Well i called 3 separate times waiting on hold (elevator music) for 10+ mins per call hoping someone would pick up so i could ask my questions before i make a 40 min drive to a store during COVID. Had never shopped her before this would have been the first time but they will never get my business now. Its unacceptable that NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON IN THAT STORE ANSWERED THE PHONE , not once. Do your jobs.
Right now, I’m furious! I went in last week bought a stove and refrigerator to be delivered. I told the salesman I wanted the old appliances taken to the garage ( which is 10 feet away) he assured me this was no problem. Wrong! The delivery people said they were only suppose to haul away! So they wouldn’t move either of them! So now, here I sit with 2 refrigerators and 2 stoves in my kitchen! Oh and by the way, they sold me the wrong hose for the ice maker!!!!! The delivery guys tried to get money out of me by offering to move it if I paid them! Never again!
The guy that helped me was amazing. I checked online first for the sale and if they had what I wanted in stock, and boom, bought my desktop in minutes. I have a bad hip so he helped me carry it to the car, (which I drove up to the doorway) making my shopping experience nice and easy.
My visits were always welcomed by staff. All were very knowledgeable and professional and they made feel that is fine to ask any type of question.Returns were a snap. I would recommend this store to all. Also I called the toll free number for an order I made the same day. Both Roland then Julie took care of the order to my satisfaction. Three cheers for Best Buy!
Awhile ago I had an online order that I put in for pickup at store around 7pm. At 8:30 I showed up and asked them if my order was ready. For 30 minutes I waited and they kept telling me that there was nothing they could do. Fast forward to today, my brother works at a different Best Buy and told me how that staff could’ve easily grabbed my order, but didn’t want to be bothered because they were so close to closing time.
Kyle, Paul, Blake at Best Buy in the Phone section are awesome! Super helpful in getting me a new phone for the best deal. Although my AT&T plan didn’t allow for me to get a new phone today there, my experience was amazing and I highly recommend going to see these guys! They know their stuff!
Thank you Constantin!!! I came here for screen protector, after the one bought online was a disaster. A wonderful gentleman named Constantin directed me to his register so I would not have to wait in line. He also offered to apply the screen protector, and did an excellent job! He explained that if anything happened, it would be replaced for free as long as I had the receipt. Constantin was an example of a perfect sales staff. He was professional, polite, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Constantin needs to be acknowledged and rewarded for his customer service. He is the reason I will come back to this store for future needs. Im also impressed with Best Buys policy to replace screen protectors for the life of the phone as long as I own it. Thank you very much Constantin. You are the reason Best Buy will have a returning customer. Pay attention to this Best Buy, and make sure you keep a stellar employee like Constantin.
Would have given no stars if I could. Called the store to ask a question about product availability at that location. Got a recorded message and was put on hold to wait for 15 minutes and the call was never answered by one of their associates. Went to the store and asked about it and was told they do not answer the phone. Why not put that information on the recording instead of letting a customer sit on hold with no chance of assistance. I took my business elsewhere and will continue to do so.
We were greeted upon walking in the door, and assisted within 2 minutes. The employee that helped us knew exactly where the item (wine cooler) we were looking for was and immediately took it off the shelf. Amazing customer service and we were leaving the store within 15 minutes!
The customer service has drastically declined with the implementation of the new policy requiring in-store customers to give their name and phone number and wait in a que for service. Sue, the manager, also has a lot to learn regarding customer service, if they plan on getting customers to return to their store. I have shopped at the Brighton location since it opened and will not return, unless they make it easier to shop within the store.
Be careful when buying a computer or anything that needs warranty from here. I bought new computer and broke in less than a year. I called during covid shutdown to get it fixed and told geek squad not taking repairs. I was told my warranty would be covered through end of the year since they were not sure when they would be back up and running. I physically took a day off work went to Brighton store today after over 10 attempts to call and get appointment. I have sat on phone for hours trying to get an appointment. No answer. Even store manager said yeah you cant get through on our phones you need to go through website....admitting that phone service isnt working. Then im told they will not honor what they told me during covid that my service ended in june yet they werent taking items to repair. Now im stuck with a broken computer....whats worse they didnt even offer to fix the computer or give me a price to fix at my cost. I was given my computer and manager Brad said there was nothing they can do to help me. 2nd time ive been burned....should have never went there ....all smoking mirrors ....tells you what you want to hear to make the sale, but never follow through with what they say.
Was trying to trade in some items and was told by Constandadine, or however you spell it, that it was a bad time cause he was busy and he helped the guy behind us. There was literally only one person in line behind us... the people by the computers were very helpful but this completely deterred me from wanting to buy anything from Best Buy! Going to the Apple store to complete my purchase... very disappointed and won’t be coming back because of him specifically. Don’t work in customer service when you can’t provide a lick of it.
Went in for a otterbox phone case for the s21 ultra. Showed that it was available on there website, but wasnt there. Drove about 45 min for this and nothing. When I asked a representative where they would be located at was it would be in these two aisles if we have it so needless to say they didnt have it, wasted in a hour in half, and no case. I ended up ordering it from otterbox.
I purchased a laptop yesterday at the best buy in brighton. The employee offered me 6 month financing on the laptop, and signed me up for the financing then and there. He told me that I wasnt instantly approved, but I likely would be approved so its nothing to worry about. He told me to use my debit card for the purchase to go through, with me under the impression that this was just an initial payment, but I was explicitly told that I was being financed. The next day I noticed that my account was billed in full for the cost of the laptop. I went in to best buy with the receipt and asked to speak with a manager about the issue. The manager in question told me that he was present the day before when I purchased the laptop (This was the first time I had ever seen him, as there was nobody else in earshot when I was signing up.) Normally I wouldnt leave a review like this, but this manager just told me I was mistaken and didnt offer any solutions to my problem. I only bought this laptop because I could only afford it with financing, and after setting up the laptop and using it a fair amount I may be forced to return it.
Since I was there a week into Dec., the Brighton store, my debit card was compromised. Klarna, who they use as a company to make monthly payments, for purchases there. Was ZERO help when I tried to inform them of the discrepancy. Twice it happened. But since whoever stole all my info, was exactly my personal info, they accused me of lying. Ive been on the Brighton store phone, on hold, 3 different times for over 3 hours-never speaking to a person. So the Klarna company wont let me cancel either transaction. 🤬🤬🤬
I love the selection at the store, and its my sons favorite place to shop for video games and computer equipment. My issue is every time I come in there are a ton of associates and no one asks you for help (outside of the cell phone staff). So I picked up a few items and went to the check out and nothing rang up the price I thought it was. The problem was that the video game my son wanted was in the wrong spot, so we thought it was $20 less than it rang up, and three of the four movies in their cheap movie dump bin thing were actually like $19-$30. So I left with one movie, the only one that actually belonged where it was supposed to. So, if no one is willing to help you, and the store has a bunch of their stuff in the wrong spots, what are the staff doing? Observe them the next time you go in, a lot of talking and walking around...
The employees are not helpful at all. My husband used to work here a long time ago and that crew was excellent. This new crew of people didnt ask us if we needed help. I was literally in front of the smart watches and phone cases looking to buy that day and needed more info. The one employee we had to seek out said I dont think we have that and walked away. I was able to find out more info about things by googling and Best buy did in fact have the items in store but the employees didnt even care to simply look. They were standing around talking to each other as I word for word said if I knew more about this id buy it right now because I want if. So disappointed in the service.
I always give a Best Buy store 5 stars. Every single one earns it because theyre always living up to the standard that is set at corporate. This one was like all the rest. Great product selection and the sales staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.Highly recommend!
I feel kind of silly reviewing such a big chain, but this Best Buy is great. We went there on Black Friday and despite being super busy, it was so organized! They had plenty of happy helpful staff on hand, they were well stocked, and they kept the lines moving. It wasnt just a holiday thing either, they are always super helpful when we stop in.
Great store, staff is always helpful, especially the associate James has always helped me out in choosing products. Very knowledgeable and professional, stores layout is easy to find what Im looking for and all the employees are ready to help. If a product is out, they will help you order it or inform when the best time to come in and shop for it. Plus all the new employees try to their best knowledge to help with anything they can and if they do not know the answer right away they immediately find someone who can help!
The staff seems to be hit or miss. Some of the staff have great product knowledge and will have great suggestions. Others that belong in the department of the product you are asking questions about have to read the spec sheet next to each model - something I could have done myself. I have purchased many things from them & will continue to do so, but I do my homework before I go in just in case I get a blue shirt who needs more training in sales & product knowledge.
I have had so many problems with this Best Buy I now use them as a show room before I buy it on amazon. The latest incident involved a network card that was faulty. I took it back and they refused to give me a full refund and declared they couldn’t find my receipt in there system. I disputed with the credit card company and surprise they found my receipt and mailed it to me as proof.
I bought a new unlocked Motorola phone to replace my old phone on my Boost Mobile plan, from the Rochester Hills location. After 24 hours of visiting Boost stores, calling tech support after tech support, and online forums, Id given up finding a SIM card compatible with my phone, even though my phone is supposed to be compatible with their service. (Boost could/ would not provide, assuming to strong arm me into buying a phone directly from them.) I headed to this Brighton location as a hail Mary pass, or give up and return the phone.Ryan was absolutely brilliant and was able to provide the solution all those hours with tech support and the internet could not provide. He got me all set up, and stuck it to my service provider in the process. Grade A customer service. Will be driving out of my way to go to this location in the future.
This Best Buy has great customer service. My wife and I have bought our two last sets of phones here because of the awesome promotions they always have going on and anything I have bought with an in store warranty they have been extremely helpful when exchanging it replacing.
Fantastic! Everyone is always so helpful and attentive of your needs! When I ordered and received the wrong graphics card from Nvidia which I bought from Best Buy online in new condition (was a complete mess up that Best Buy wasnt responsible for) they ordered me another one and shipped it to my house in two days for no charge! I love the people that work here, they are so nice and Ive been here so many times I recognize most of the workers. Many thanks, keep up the hard work guys!
Very nice store when it comes to cleanliness and polite staff. I cant give anything higher then a 3-star do to the ridiculous price gouging. I understand that stores have overhead to take care of, but 4 times the price of amazon items for the same exact thing is a little steep. They will soon be an amazon show room.
I bought a DVR but the salesman sold me the wrong hard drive. I had to go back twice to get the right one. No one in the store could tell me how to program it. It would cost me $100 to have a tech tell me how to operate it. I waited on line for over a half hour just to schedule an appt. Disgustef
I was in and out fast after finding the deal I was looking for on a simple wireless printer. Staff knew where to fund what I needed and answered a few quick questions with ease. Only suggestion for improvement is the scent of the store. There is some sort of locker room odor in the store that urges me to leave quickly.
This review is based solely on my experience of activating a new phone with a Verizon rep. Unfortunately, I forget the name of the employee but he had a big beard ¯_(ツ)_/¯ He was knowledgeable, professional, kind, and concise. My boyfriend was also there and in the section for gaming monitors and the employee there was just as great. We were both pleasantly surprised at the service we received. They went above and beyond.
Stopped by to pick up a pop socket. I dont shop regularly at Best Buy. I was greeted right away. I didnt know where to find them in the store. Thought while there, Id also look at phone cases. They have a ton of iPhone cases. However, have a Pixel 2. I couldnt find Pixel 2 cases or pop sockets easily. There were a lot of staff standing around talking to each other. It would have been nice if one of them asked me if I could use assistance. I could have asked them but I was just so irritated that they found more interest in themselves than their customers that it got to the point where I didnt want them to ask. I got the pop socket, gave up on the phone case and left.
Horrible customer service! I was told I would have my phone back in 3-5 days. Its been 7 and now they are telling me it will be a couple more days until they hear back from Apple. When I asked if they could give me a loaner phone for the inconvenience and misinformation they initially gave me, they tried to tell me that it is Apples policy to forbid them to give me a loaner phone....what?! #1. They couldnt repair the phone I was told they could #2. It could not be repaired in the time frame they gave me. #3. They sent my phone off to Apple and authorized additional work than I agreed to (Apple had a recall on the issue I brought my phone in for!) #4. They do not care to provide ANY sort of customer service and blame Apple for their lack of doing so. I will NEVER bring anything to Geek Squad again. Just a bunch of untrained script readers.
Oder new mother board, graphics card and cpu from Best Buy. Had a white light on mother board and a yellow light. Called Asus they referred me to the vendor Best Buy tech support. Best Buy rep said she could make me an appointment at the local store. Went to the appointment tech said $200 to look at it. I replied that’s too much. I then asked him for usb a cable to see if my cooler was working properly. He informed me they don’t have those in store. So I took my computer back outside went back in the store found the cable bought it and fixed the computer myself for $12.00 do yourself a favor just don’t buy from these guys there’s no tech support on the products you purchase from them. Two thumbs down 👎best buy is the next block buster they have people just standing around in groups of 3-4 unsustainable bye bye best bye 👋
Best Buy has an extremely extensive array of electronics! I could shop in there for hours & continue to be intrigued! The services offered by the Geek Squad are quite incredible, also! I use their service/protection plan to help eliminate having to deal with the financial burden of unexpected problems occurring.
The Ann Arbor Store was amazing, Michael the sea associate in Ann Arbor had to call the Brighton Store multiple times to get an actual human in the Brighton store on the phone. It took him 20 minutes! Pretty bad for one store calling another store to help a customer out. There was only one of the products I needed left, and Michael from Ann Arbor would not stop until he got an actual person to lay eyes on the product I needed do I didn’t drive out of my way for nothing! Brighton take some hints from Ann Arbor on customer service for your internal and external customers!
I just bought the latest LG washer and dryer combo PLUS paid an extra 320 dollars for insurance so that “if ANYTHING happens you’ll be covered” I also paid extra for the upgraded stainless steel hoses, and then they deliver the wrong washer and dryer. Then they tell me I’ll have to wait a month until the pedestals come in, and then they tell me that they aren’t hooking it up because it’s against company policy to hook up to “old water hoses”. I exclaimed that they weren’t old, they were the very expensive ones that You just delivered 2 days ago! He didn’t care one bit about helping me. I should’ve known better. Now I am out my installation fee. So much for the useless insurance.
If I could give negative stars I would. This Best Buy is a joke!! I needed product information and had a few questions before I drove 45 minuets to and hour. By no means did I think I was the only person on the phone or in the store that had a question. But waiting on HOLD for over 45 minuets without hearing anything, or getting confirmation that someone knew I was on the phone is UNACCEPTABLE!! I ended up hanging up and calling back 10 minuets before the store closed and was still on hold and still no person to talk to. Needless to say I never went. So I called this morning and was on hold AGAIN for 20 minuets.... I WILL BE CALLING CORPORATE. This is horrible customer service. Avoid this Best Buy customer service is not top priority.
Overall prices fair but service varies. Sometimes not enough sales staff or they are talking to each other. We recently found out we were being charged the last two years for geek squad without our approval or authorization. We never even knew we had it during those two years so we never were able to used their service. Cost us a lot of money. Dont really plan on going back.
To preface this, I am a huge techie who can be very critical of stores like best buy and their employees. Sometimes I feel like their knowledge of products is low compared to what I learn in a few minutes of researching. However today I was extremely happy with their knowledge of their sounds bars, and their great customer service. They helped me pick out a great deal on an floor model sound bar that was MSRP $500 marked down to $170. They didnt try to push me to buy a newer model or upsell past our means.Appreciate that so much!
The staff was friendly and helpful. They showed me what to what computers would be best for me and listened to what I wanted. They didnt push me to buy a computer right there. The person who helped me wasnt as knowledgeable as I would have liked. I would recommend going here before buying a computer online in order to feel the computer and gaining input from the staff.
Great Customer Service! Emily Quickly Pointed Me In The Right Direction. JT Was Very Helpful And Educated Me On A Number Of Issues I Had Regarding My Newly Purchased PC, Very Tech Savvy. 🙂 Brad Gave Me Much To Consider Re: G10 Phones. Thank You All For A Great Experience 😘
When they delivered Dishwasher o 12-27-18 the Dishwasher was totally damaged no one bothered to check it out before delivery. After waiting weeks for delivery I was told someone would call me o. 12-28-18 to reschedule. (SHOULD OF BEEN SAME DAY ). NO ONE CALLED, I called the store waited 18 minutes for someone to answer. Harvey promised someone would call me back within an hour. Waited seven hours and called Brighton store back said I needed to talk to a manager and I asked for main store managers name. Was told there were many managers and he could not give me one name. This is after I waited another 17 minutes to get through to this guy. I told him to transfer me to any manager and he put me on Hold after waiting another 20 minutes I was conveniently disconnected. I am on day four and ga e heard NOTHING FROM BEST BUY! TOTALLY DISGUSTED
As Best Buys go this one is a fairly small one with limited selection. I would call before going to make sure they have what you want. Although if youre looking for a run-of-the-mill item Im sure they will have it. We went in there to buy a Apple watch and a Google home and person that helped us I was surprised it was very unbiased and was not trying to sell us into either ecosystem. That was truly nice seeing most of the time electronic stores always tried to sway you into whatever the person believes is the best.
I ordered a drone off of the website during the checkout process it said it will be ready for pick up in one hour. So i waited til i got off of work that evening to go pick it up (8 Hrs) later I arrived at the store around 730 and they said that might item had not come in, so i asked them if they had the same item in stock they said that they did but that i couldnt just have that one i had to wait for mine to come in i showed them the conformation as well as the message that told me one hour. They continued to try and make me open a credit card to pay for another drone while i was waiting for my money to be refunded to the card if i wanted to receive the item today and then once i received the money back i could pay off my credit card bill lmfao i will not be using any best buy locations after this experience still awaiting my drone and no corrective actions were taken by the brighton store to rectify the issue. Very poor customer service and will be letting everyone know
They overcharged me for a sale item. I requested a price check and the attendant ran back and confirmed the item wasnt on sale. I completed my purchase knowing I had over paid, then went back and pulled the sale sign and walked it back to the cashier. Poor performance Best buy.. I dont have to worry about Amazon overcharging me.
Staff was helpful when actually shopping but argued when I went to pay for my purchase and pick up items I bought the night before online. They insisted they were totally out of stock. No. I bought and paid for the items. I had a confirming email. The manager was rude. NO... we dont have ANY in the building. He stormed off but the young lady started searching through a big bin and found the items. Im unhappy enough to stop using the Best Buy in Brighton, MI. The manager was horrible!
I took a computer in to be looked at. The Geek Squad Tech was very knowledgeable explaining everything in detail and made sure I understood. I also purchased a new laptop and the experience was made all the more easier by the salesperson. All in all I am very happy with my visit to the Brighton store.
I would give it a 5 star, but the website prevented this. The people in the store made up for it and some though.I ordered a note 9 512gb and paid for it online. Went to the store to pick it up. Got the phone working and went home. Didnt realize until I got home I actually had the 128gb phone. Thats not what I paid for. While it was really frustrating, the store said to just bring it back and they had the right phone on hand. It wasnt the store that was the problem. The website switched my order for some reason.Good on them though as they did a no hassle switch with the right phone and credited me with a phone case for the large inconvenience. Thanks to them for making it right. Ill definitely go back there now.
Sure they have some of the Harder to find items but thats where the benefits stop. I have come to this location multiple times and have always run into an issue with something. The main thing is they dont offer geek squad protection on nearly as much stuff as the Ann Arbor store. Long story short, save your money and go to Ann Arbor. The staff is better, the store is cleaner, and youll have a better experience overall.
Standard issue Best buy, good for a sale good for a TV I went in for a laptop charger unfortunately they didnt have it but they help me order it from their website it was delivered in two days. I thought you could have saved myself a trip by just using the app. But cest la vie
Were very helpful when I had to exchange out a Pixel XL phone with a small crack in the top portion of the screen out of the box. Would definitely come here again. Every employee (except one) was very professional and was indeed there to help me through the process of exchanging the phone out when none were in stock (had to extend return window for me).
I Hate best buy I usually never go there. There prices are outrageouam and there stuff is usually junk. But I saw they had a deal on a new car radio so I decided I would give it a try. I ended up waiting 35 minutes for a sales person. I asked 1 person he told me he was helping a customer, then he just continued stocking. I asked another and he told me he would page someone I waited anther 10 minutes as I watched employees stand around and do nothing I asked one of them and he replied with I will help you in a minute, but never came to help. After 45 minutes I finally found someone to help me. Well they tried to scam me by telling me I needed all this stuff to install my new radio when all I needed was a kit. Im never going there again
Beware of their open box clearance items as the items will have stickers on top of stickers if increased price from a lowered price. They are also manipulating retail price on these stickers by claiming that one price was retailed at for example $219 and clearance price to $173 and the other sticker (underneath) would say retailed at $299, now clearance to $236 all on the same opened box item... The label price as new and there is no way new price changes to two different amounts
Its a major electronics retailer. It was about the same as other Best Buy stores Ive been to. The shopping center its in needs better access from the street, however. The citys traffic design on the main road I turned in from was not very good. No protected left turn on a very busy road meant having a long wait to turn into the lot.
Im always so happy when I can go somewhere and get someone who really knows what they are doing! I would never suggest anyone to get a computer without getting the geek squad protection. I hope this store never closes. We used to have so many other stores like this and they are all disappearing. Office Max, Office Depo, Staples have all reduced their stores to bare minimum or gone out of business. I love Best Buy!
I would give them zero stars if I could. Will never do business with them again. Some of here employees have no idea what there talking about. There sales people will lie to you, not all but that select few. So i would go shop some other place, cheaper prices and the warranty you get from Best buy is a joke.
It seams this place lost its edge as an electronic s go to. I stood in line at the geek squad and watched as they helped three other customers over 50/60 on front of me. They definitly took advantage of simple task that older people dont understand. For example one lady baught a new computer and asked about antivirus protection, they sold her all most $200 for the antivirus and installation then convinced her that because antivirus protection is ever changing she should buy a $300 protection plan. People- please help out your parents so they dont constantly get prayed upon by these box stores- Best Buy should be ashamed how they motivate their employees and what they have to do to pay the bills.
I purchased an Apple Watch from Best Buy and it was ready in an hour. Then I came back several days later to purchase a screen protector after my amazon ones were a fail. The screen protector was a curved glass one and it was priced as $40.00. We purchased it and paid for the $8.00 installation fee. A couple hours later a bubble had formed and the corner of the protector chipped off. I brought it back and the replaced it for FREE. The workers are so kind and understanding here.
Sometimes overpriced but I needed a computer and a printer and I needed it yesterday. Came in asked for a recommendation on an under $100 printer got what seemed like sound advise on pros and cons of three models. Then grabbed a chrome book and was out the door in 17min.
Entered the store. Was greeted by two employees. After that it fell apart. Looked around for 10-15 mins in the headphones area. Then waited in the open staring at employees for another 10-15 mins for someone to ask me if i found what i was looking for or open the cast so i could purchase $350 head phones i clearly don’t need. During this time i observed 12 employees in about 4-5 areas just talking or doing “busy work”. The store was not busy at all and according to google, considerably less busy than normal. The guy that actually helped me was a sprint employee (not even a bestbuy employee). He assisted in gaining access to said $350 headphones. Walked me upfront. Girl who checked me out misstyped my number so i restated the last four numbers (calmly even though i was red hot by this time) she stopped and looked at me like it was my fault she typed in my number wrong. I apologized (even though i wasn’t rude) and began saying i had to wait around for 10 to........then she cut me off going through her purchasing steps needed to finish my transaction.Based on this entire situation, i can see why people buy stuff on amazon full time. I will not go back to this bestbuy and will more than likely choose to get all of my electronics and such from amazon. Shame on me for not doing so in the first place. And sorry all of the i’s in this are not capitalized.
Just purchased a TV sound bar, and might I say I couldnt be more disgusted... The sound bar is good. But the employees took the liberty of unboxing the unit, and slapping price stickers all over the black finish, and wouldnt you know, its the stickers that dont just peel off. Now this gift sound bar is covered in sticker gunk, and looks like it came from a house containing many children who love to smear candy all over everything. Wonderful. Do yourself a favor and just go on amazon. It might take a few days for shipping but its better than scratching a sound bar for 35 minutes... trust me.
Good store. Has a decent selection. Not as large of a selection as say Flint, or Ann arbor. (Mind you this is a review of the Brighton store).Sales people on the floor seem a bit skittish each time Ive gone in. Could easily order anything to have it shipped here, but at that point, could just get it from the website to your home.
Ordered refrigerator wit 2 day delivery. The company sent a delivery guy who took one look at the stairs to the second floor and came up with reasons not to deliver. We called 30-40 minutes after the guy left but they would not redeliver or let us reschedule because refrigerator was still on the truck. This caused us to lose a whole day of redelivery options. This is really The Best System you selected?? How about customer service? ?Consequently, the first available was next week 4-1-19 although they are advertising TODAY on their website that they have deliveries available for Friday 3/29/19.Company that size misrepresenting and unable to come up with better redelivey options after they failed ( because of laziness) is just sad.As far as I am concerned BestBuy has gone out of business!
Let me look around and shop dont ask every 2 min if I need help!! I like to look read packages and see what is out there. The whole time I was in the store I was being pushed to make choices and told why I want one model over another. Needless to say I ended up walking out with nothing but disappointment.
I see many of the well train employees doing their jobs and are very well informed. Although I dont think every employee needs to ask if i need help. Because if i do ill ask but I know that their just doing their jobs so I dont mind to much. But over all I think their all doing a wonderful job Ive personally never had a problem there. :)
Geek squad members would rather pawn you off on mobile to sit for 3 hours, even Geek squad themselves did not have a single customer. After 3 hours of sitting they told us we would have to call 1800Geeksquad. After speaking to a member on the phone I was informed my claim should have been handled in the store. Not sure what they pay these people for if you have to do all the work at home on the phone or online anyways
I give them 4 not 5 simply because they say they have products in store you go there or buy online pay for it then they dont have it and send you to another store you have to cancel your order when you finally get the product after 4 stores (galaxy note 10 + ) you end up with duplicate emails it gets ridiculous as a person with 1 DAY off not much time to shop terrible expirience
One of the last times I was there I swear the associates were following me around and then ended up at the front door as I was about to leave. That was the most uncomfortable visit Ive had there, Brighton location that is. Not one employee asked me if I needed assistance whilst trailing me. I was being more so watched as if I was going to steal or something. Funny because every time I go there Im spending $100+. Can you stop with the stalking customers tendencies please Brighton store??
This is todays rating for the Brighton Michigan store. I was waited on by a very pleasant and helpful young man by the name of Cole. I was looking for an additional charging cord for my Moto G6. We examined the options together, I came to a decision, and Cole promptly checked me out. A very delightful and upbeat young man. Footnote - when I arrived home and examined my new charging cord, it wasnt even close to being right. Returned it the next day. ☹️ I miss my guy at Radio Shack.
Horrible experience trying to return a quadcopter that wouldnt stay connected to my remote. Mind you I had flown it once for about 5 minutes then it got stuck 100 feet in the air because the remote disconnected from the drone. I packaged everything back up to return it today and nothing was broken inside the box. Once inside I went to go look for another drone to purchase and couldnt find one that I liked. In the meantime the customer service lady had opened up the box and when I returned upfront she said it was going to be a 15% restocking fee because the Styrofoam on the outside was broken. Which was NOT true. Ill never shop at best buy again for anything.
They do not answer the phone. All automated. I was on hold for 45 minutes and still didn’t get through. I was told that they can’t do my installation today (that I’ve had scheduled for a week and a half) and to call back to reschedule. 2 hours later and I still can’t get through. I will not bring my business here again. ABC Warehouse down the street answered on the second ring and I didn’t have to go through a maze of automation to get to a live person.
Nice , clean, helpful people, easy to access. Need to keep clean bathroom and outside area. nice place for good deal and discount.finance available for any purchase and staff is not helpful. you have to go and find and all staff busy. less parking place and free home delivery available.
Geek Squad Auto Tech...Do NOT USE! The tech there apparently doesnt know what the heck he is doing. He totally screwed up my remote starter in my Mercedes and killed my battery too. When I called to try to make another appointment to get his mistake checked out, I was on hold for THREE hours over 2 different days of calling, until I finally got fed up and called the corporate headquarters who patched me to the correct person immediately. They then tell you that theyre booked out for at least a month, in hopes of you just saying forget and accepting the horrible installation and go somewhere else. I kept the appointment scheduled 5 weeks out and then he tells me, well it looks like you might need a new remote starter after 10 mins of looking at it! Please save your time and patience and go to another Best Buy Geek Squad location, this Keith guy isnt worth it.
I went in to buy a Surface Pro with some co workers. The salesman was friendly and helpful but stated they did not have the bundled package in stock at $799.00. I informed him that we were leaving the next day and could not wait for online ordering. He then looked again and found just the Surface Pro 4 but with no keyboard and would be willing to sell it to me for more than $100. So the new price would be 799 plus 100. I asked why I had to pay extra for something advertised in a bundle and he said its not them its Microsoft. He then went to get his manager who refused to help any further. This is a classic example of Bait and Switch in the sales world. Be very careful when you visit this store. I recommend you try a different store first.
Went in to look at tablets for my son. He was pretty specific about what he wanted so we walked around looking for a bit. One of the staff members asked if we needed help, I wish I remembered his name. My son explained what he was looking for and the staff member showed him multiple options and explained the differences between them. He was very patient and answered every single question that my boy had without any sideways looks, if you know what Im saying.
Best Buy website claimed all stores would be getting a minimum number of the Classic Nes but this store (via David) claimed that they are not expecting to receive any at all. So either there is no truth in advertising OR employees bought them to sell online at ripoff prices. Very disappointing for all those whom waited in line well before opening.

2022-03-05Great store the best for all the new electronics that are coming out always in stock. Friendly employees always willing to help you find whatever your looking for with a smile on there faces. And if they dont carry theyll sometimes look it up for you at another store wonderful atmosphere. And always clean also the bathrooms are almost always immaculate. Cant say enough good things about best buy. Great store great products and good prices.

2022-04-24Had a broken laptop and figured the Geek Squad was going to be my best option to get the repair done quickly.Unfortunately, the original diagnosis of corrupt Windows files was not correct and the wipe/reinstall of a fresh Windows 10 image did not solve the issue. I did not, however, realize this did not solve the problem until I took my laptop home and went through the setup process.Luckily, I was able to get an appointment to bring my laptop back the following day. This time the Geek Squad ran some hardware diagnostics and found that the HDD was bad. They were apologetic and worked to find me the most economical resolution. In just a couple days the laptop was good to go!Although it took a couple trips, my experience was great due to great customer service, especially from Agent Dash. Agent Dash kept me informed throughout the process and was knowledgeable and personable. He went above and beyond with assisting me with getting my Microsoft Office downloaded again, getting Chrome downloaded, allowing me to go home and get straight to work.I would 100% recommend the Brighton Geek Squad (especially Agent Dash) for any repairs or service on your hardware.

2022-05-02Not great, but a decent experience usually. The teens that work at the store try their best ( pun intended), but usually lack knowledge. If you know what you are looking for, its not a bad store.. so do your research before driving... halfway decent electronics stores are fewer and fewer, so shop here and help keep this location open.

2022-05-23Best customer service & customer care, I would personally recommend Xavier for any cellular service or any cell phone help needed. He definitely went above and beyond all expectations as im sure he will do for any customer. Best buy needs to give this guy a raise.

2022-05-23I currently have a beautiful new fridge sitting in a box in my garage and a dead one in my kitchen because Best Buy has sent TWO teams to my house and neither has been capable of removing the old fridge. I had to take a day off work only to be told that they schedule the wrong team AGAIN. The lack of communication and planning is bewildering.

2022-05-11Zero regard or respect for their customer at every touchpoint. On hold for over an hour multiple times for an item ordered in December. Lied 3x when it will arrive. The stores are even worse and the arrogance is a theme throughout.

2021-12-26My son saved up his money, for about a year, to buy an Oculus. They had them in stock at our Brighton Best Buy - the day after Christmas. Our cashier was so amazing - and Im sorry we didnt get his name. We were checking out on Sunday, December 26 around 10:50 a.m.He was so patient with my son, while he counted out his money. He seemed genuinely excited that he saved this money for so long. Great experience.

2022-01-01As a non tech person, I like going to the store when making a large purchase. We wanted a new TV but werent sure what the best ones were. The guy who helped us knew alot about TVs and helped us make a great choice.

2021-12-30Went in to buy 2 new iPhones, Im leaving a 4 star because they did have signs all over saying you needed an appointment for help with phones, however there was literally not 1 customer waiting and 4 employees just sitting there. I waited about 10 minutes, nobody came to assist, so I left and bought the phones elsewhere. I completely understand staffing issues right now and the need for appointments but there was NOBODY as far as customers there?

2022-01-11We Walked in, right past the 3 or 4 greeters that were on their phone. We walked in with the intention of walking out with a new TV, Soundbar, Quest VR, and a few games, Also a new fridge. We started out in appliances, not a soul to be found. Finally walked up front and asked for help after standing there for 20 minutes. Younger kid walked back with us, asked him some info about them, he knew absolutely nothing. Said forget it and went to go get our TV. After almost an hour of waiting to get helped by the 1 helpful person there(Paul) we went up again and grabbed someone just so we could try the remotes/menus between 3 brands. Another clueless kid helped us. Thanked him for opening the menu on each one, he wouldnt let us use them. Was about to walk out when Paul finally had a second and helped us. Was SUPER informative and was a total nerd, just the guy i wanted. He helped us and takled us up to the next level up TV and helped with the soundbar selection even though there were 2 other people following us around waiting for help. No military discount, wouldnt price match other stores that would discount. Thats fine. Paul said pull up and he will help load it, then asked if we minded if someone else could help instead so he could continue to help shoppers as he asked the group of people up front for help again. Another guy brings it out on a dolly, and drops it right on the bumper leaving a nice scratch. The only reason there are 2 stars is all because of 1 man that decided to actually work.
