Waiting in a line outside the store is a small part of making our holidays great, way better than knowing you made anyone you love Ill. Once inside everything is spaced apart for safety. The staff goes out of their way to help you find what you are looking for and can suggest things for the kids we had no clue about.
Honestly the worst place I have ever done business with. Ordered a TV on October 26, and was rescheduled 3 times, each time not being notified until the last possible second that it will not be delivered or installed. After hours on hold, three days off from work, and customer service reps who although were very nice, but did not help rectify the situation at the slightest, I cancelled the order.
Ive been to this best buy 3 or 4 times in the last several years. I purchased 2 cell phones here and they had the phone I wanted in stock and the price was good. The people were very helpful, nice and knowledgeable. This last visit I was looking for an HDMI cable and a usb-c to hdmi adapter. I ended up leaving empty handed. Cables that I expected to see for $15 to $30 were $55 to $180. To give them the benefit of the doubt there was a lot of empty space on the shelves, so maybe they were sold out of the affordable cables. Theres probably a difference in the cable quality they sell, but the specs were the same. I just needed one that works. I found a 25 ft hdmi cable that didnt have a price on it and was just sitting on a shelf by some more affordable shorter cables. I took it to checkout and it was $79. The cashier said that the $29 version best buy sells could be purchased online. She was nice and polite. I ended up getting a 4k 25ft hdmi cable about 5 miles away for $12.98. I would definitely recommend this best buy for a new cell phone purchase.
Best Buy has all things electronic. I find the store to be well-stocked and well-staffed. Prices are competitive. We have bought everything from cables to phones to televisions to major appliances here and never had a bad experience. Helpful, knowledgeable salespeople, service department, free recycling, and reliable delivery.
Itβs an okay store. Itβs small, and if the staff always seems troubled to help. I once spent 45 minutes at this location walking around looking for something and not once did anybody ask me if I needed help. The way the registers are set up is just screws up... everybody has to wait in the same line regardless if you have a pick up or not, making in store pick up pointless because I now have to wait. I might as well have not paid for something Iβve never seen if I had to wait. do curbside. I only come here when I donβt feel like driving to the much better location on 14 mile. Better yet, just do Amazon.
I am a long-time, faithful Best Buy customer, but I recently learned Best Buy store bought items have only a 15 day return policy. Apparently during Xmas they have a generous return policy, but that changes during the rest of the year.My wife bought me a gift for my birthday at Best Buy. She bought the gift 2 weeks in advance as we had plenty of other things going on during this time. When I found out the items dimensions she bought were too large for what I had plans for, I decided to return the item. This was 18 days after the original purchase. So, I took the item back because easy returns is one of the only things keeping brick and mortar stores open these days. Unfortunately, for me the return was not easy because the return after 18 days was outside of store policy. The customer service desk at this location had to get a store manager to authorize the return. The call for the store manager took 10 minutes before he arrived. The store manager gave me the third degree on the same questions the original clerk had me go through, plus more. Then, the store manager warned me a couple of times that he did not NEED to authorize the return because it was out of policy. This was quite the demeaning visit to Best Buy. Not sure how much I can keep shopping here with a return counter run like the one at the Rochester Hills Best Buy, and such a stringent return policy that does not favor buying gifts in advance.
Best ever experience at Best Buy today. This store on Rochester Rd near Auburn rd has an associate named Jason. He was working in the tablet area He answered all my questions about a very little part. Assisted me with information re upcoming purchase took care of a return and repurchase and made a price adjustment. He was so very patient and courteous. thank you again Jason
We have always gotten great service and help with our cell phone purchase and technical support here. This time was no different. Brett was extremely helpful in transitioning out of an outdated phone into the new version. I highly recommend this branch of Best Buy. Awesome.
Overall, Iβve had a great experience going to this Best Buy store over the years! This Best Buy is a great place to buy Blu-Ray and 4K UHD Blu-Ray movies at! This Best Buy location is one of my favorite stores to go to. Itβll be sad to see this Best Buy location close later this year. Iβve really enjoyed going to this Best Buy over the years! Thank you for providing excellent service!
Large Store, not very in sync with the website though. They dont carry a lot of the things you will find on the website. If you are like me you like to shop online to a degree.. find what you need and find out where it is... This best buy doesnt carry a lot of the stuff others do. Fortunately, the store is in sync with the website and the website knows what they DO carry... Online ordering is complicated to some degree but that is the fault of the website.As for the service, almost every visit I find myself wandering around looking for assistance. Then after I find a salesman I end up waiting because he or she is with another customer or is more concerned with stocking.They carry a large selection of TVS and Home appliances, prices are fair to over priced depending on what you want. I have found the best prices here and the worst...They used to have the BEST car audio selection but seem to be phasing out their car audio sections and is mostly online now.Customer service desk seems to have been revamped since the previous posts as I have received nothing but excellent service from customer service personnel, although I did notice that the male manager seemed to be a little less interested than his employees.
Great selection and customer assistance. We ended up buying a laptop here after being walked through the different brands and models. No pressure salespeople, just well informed staff that listened to our needs and offered suggestions. I also learned that they now carry vinyl albums of old and new pressings with 180 gm vinyl. Ill use Best Buy again!
So today I went to Best Buy because I had some cash to spend, but also because I wanted to know more about the availability of the playstation 5. I wasnt expecting to get one there at all, and thats not what I was gonna spend my money on. I just wanted to know more about the right place and the right time to grab one and when it would be in stock. We looked at a few other stores for it as well and they were all really kind and understanding. Even though Im sure a thousand people are asking about the PS5. But this trip was different.We walked in and we were forced along this gate where we had to pass this guy at at a sanitization stand. Thats completely fine and Im glad theres someone to stop people from entering the store without a mask or when the store is full. But the store looked very empty and we were both wearing masks.The guy asked what brought us here in a very VERY dismissive tone. He looked annoyed by us. He looked like he was already having a bad day and we were making it worse. All of a sudden he made us feel unwelcome. Like we werent allowed to be here without a reason. Like we were disturbing him just by standing there. We asked him about the playstation and he seemed to get more annoyed. He had a very short temper. He dismissed us instantly. Saying quickly PS5 is out if stock and is only available online. I think he assumed i was some stupid casual who wasnt willing to research and camp early to get my hands on the console. When we asked more questions, he repeated the same phrase. until another guy came over to give more information. This guy was alot more kind and actually gave us the information we needed while the guy at the desk sat and pouted. We thanked the second guy and finally walked into the store. But the longer I browsed the merchandise looking for something to buy, the more uncomfortable I felt. Like I wasnt allowed to be in there because of how poorly I was welcomed. Like it was some restricted area. So I ended up leaving without buying anything even though I planned to.We saw him welcoming everyone this way. The store wasnt very populated even tho it was black Friday week. I wonder why π€When people are greeted like this, theyre put on the on the spot. having to find an excuse for being there. Feeling like they have to justify their presence. And they start to wonder if they should even be there at all.On our way out, my mom talked about the situation to the other staff members. I do apologize for this as she was direct and frustrated about the situation and it wasnt the fault of the staff she was talking too. She mostly complained about the words what brings you here today but I think the main problem was the behavior and tone of the guy. It was very intiresting to see how easy it was for this power to go to his head. Please put someone else in charge of that desk or at LEAST talk to him about this. This ruined my visit.I gave a 4 star review because I really really like best buy. And the staff have always been pleasant with me before. This was mainly just to notify people about this situation.
Ive had a lifelong disdain for Best Buy. They sell a lot of things in their huge store, but almost nothing to supplement those things. My most recent visit I found the exact model of TV mount I wanted on their website and of course when I get there they cant find it anywhere so I had to make a rash decision on the spot and buy another product which I was not as happy with. I did buy a washer machine from there recently on a Memorial Day sale that Im pretty happy with.
I am personally biased about electronics stores because I like to feel what I am getting in my hands. This is a nice Best Buy, the store is clean, it is always stocked, and the staff is friendly! The layout is planned out perfectly, most of the stuff that you might just want to pop in and grab are right as you walk in. The price is always right with their in store price match, most of the staff will look for you, but just in case you might want to have your phone handy to show them you could get it cheaper somewhere else. But, most of the time they will do it for you if you are on the fence about purchasing that particular item. Nothing overly Fantastic about this store its your standard Cookie Cutter Box store, but its always nice to be able to see your items before you purchase them!
Literally TERRIBLE service. Unable to add a person to pick up an order that was placed in store due to it being ordered in store. Was told by a manger as well as an associate that I can add a person to my account to pick up an item....but now when that person went into get the item they turned him away....I will be getting a refund for this product when I get back into town. TERRIBLE!Anything tech related please save yourself and go to micro center across from Oakland mall!
Mixed feelings...will have to go back for a second trip to get a better idea. It was hard to find someone to ask a question to, but when AI dis they were great about the experience amd them when I went to check in at geek squad had one rude person but the next was great...
I was provided the absolute worst service. i placed an order for 2 refrigerators delivering to two separate locations. 2 days before my scheduled delivery i received an email saying one of the refrigerators was rescheduled to 2 months later. The day of delivery i never received my order i then called to see the status and was told that the agent was unable to deliver due to me missing a phone call ( while i was waiting for my delivery) while on the phone with a representative i was informed me he accidentally released the fridge and now it is showing out of stock and will not be able to deliver until another 3 months when it is sitting in the warehouse. I was transferred over to a supervisor and he told me he can confirm it is sitting in the warehouse and there is nothing he can do. I offered to rent a uhaul and pick it up myself and the supervisor Abraham R. refused to help me. I asked for corporate phone number and also the supervisors direct number and he refused both! I was baffled with the customer service i was provided! Never ordering anything from here again
Went inside just looking for a new phone to replace my old and defective business phone, The gentlemen at the door were on-the-ball in directing me to the right department. I was professionally greeted by Andrew and Brett who both went above and beyond in explaining they no longer carry my specific carrier, they both kindly did some quick research and pointed me to a nearby retailer that did. High quality, young men worthy of leadership roles in the company. I was left with a genuine sense of pride in their helpfulness, as Im physically disabled and rarely go out into the world without my mission already clearly defined and thought out in an effort to avoid unneeded aggravation while navigating the beehive. Thank you Andrew, Thank you, Brett. Good men. Keep it up.
Sold my husband the wrong accessories for the Go Pro he was purchasing. Went in to return them, the employee tried explaining I can only get a store credit. Explained the employee picked out the wrong accessories. Had to get the manager involved to credit my card. One more reason to shop online.
Purchased a toaster oven online had it delivered to my home. As we were gone for a month i asked online if there would be a problem with a return if necessary. Wanted a different one. So returned to the store in unopened shipping box to be told that i could only get a store credit because past 15 days but if I had purchased today I would have until jan of 21 to return, seriously. I will NOT be shopping at best buy anymore...ridiculous
My wife and I visit this Best Buy quite regularly. The staff is very friendly and the store is always clean. Just like most best buys, there are bins of on -sale movies and games. Their setup is very open and its easy to walk around and find anything youre looking for. I would recommend stopping by sometime to check it out - especially if youre at one of the neighboring restaurants or stores!
Im not a techy and dont enjoy shopping for electronics. I bought a TV about a week ago & my associate was helpful, friendly & knowledgeable. He checked to make sure I had everything I needed & recommended some things I might like. He checked me out quickly. Then when my daughter needed a tablet, I suggested we go to Best Buy & seek out the associate who helped me. He was there & helped my daughter find the product best for her situation. His name is Rob, I believe. In any case, if you need help, hes 69 so hes easy to find. Both times I went to Best Buy, it was a pain free experience.
Its got to be over a decade since Ive been in one. Everyone was very helpful and I was surprised at how much stock they had to browse through.We needed to actually get someones attention at the phones though - I chalk that up to all the people that just come in to look but arent interested in buying.
At the location in Utica, I was standing there for 8 minutes or so after I was walking around and made eye contact with the 2 employees. One finished and helped a guy who are in after I did, and told me to wait even after I explained that I was there for a while and had questions. That never happens in a best buy. I wont be coming back to this location.
Good service up until the item was delivered. The first refrigerator shipped with a dent. The second one did as well. The delivery company damaged my hardwood floors and BB did not take any responsibility. They shrug the customer off to their insurance company who shrugs you off the delivery company who shrugs you off to their insurance company. 6 months later i still have a dented fridge and ruined floors. Lost a customer who has spent thousands of dollars over the year. Best Buy is insured. I do not understand their thinking...... Bye Bye Best Buy.
Best Best was a surprise. I usually shop with Amazon. This store is formidable competitor. Expecting only to find only a price match, I found an open box, top of the line device at a large savings. The sales guy was very attentive and helpful. Hands on beats online hands down for electronics.
It was ok. The service is mediocre. The staff does what they can do to help when they arent busy. The checkout line is clear on a day and at a time when theres few shoppers. As it turms out, Best Buy makes exactly $0 profit on the merchandise, and the only way they make any money is on the warranties, and Geek Squad (helpdesk type services) if you care, help them out by buying the warranty.
The order online and pick up in store part of our visit was great. That part was perfect. But they didnt have the type of (common) USB cable that we needed online. We figured the store would have it. We walked that store back and forth. No cable. Thank goodness for Amazon!
Love the ability to order online and pick-up in store and the prices are good but it takes too long for a pickup (it took almost 5 minutes to get waited on and I was the only one in line) and today they had the wrong item waiting for me which took even longer. Did you a friendly folks that work there though which makes up for a lot. They just need better systems and processes which falls at the feet of management.
The worst store and customer service.I specifically called the store and asked about returning an item that I got for Christmas.I told them that I did not have the receipt.I was told as long as I return it by 1/12/19, I will be ok and I would not need a receipt.So when I went to the store and I tried to return it, they told me that they do not carry this item anymore and they will not be able to take it even though they verified that it was a Best Buy item and it was $23.I advised that it is not my fault that they do not carry it in the store. It is from Best Buy and it has not been opened. They still did not take it.They made me drive in the cold for a stupid $23 item that they said they would take back and they did not.I do not recommend the store.I also do not recommend buying gifts for other people from Best Buy.They have the worst return policy and they do not stand by their word or merchandise.
We just had an amazing experience at the Rochester Hills Best Buy. My family and I came in to exchange a tablet for our son. Our son is special needs and Maxine was incredibly professional, sweet, knowledgeable, and patient. Our family greatly appreciates Maxine for her OUTSTANDING customer service!!! She held our sons hand around the store and even let him scan his tablet! Little actions like this stick with our family for a lifetime!! Thank you!!
Asked for help and one agent told us shed get someone else to help us. No one ever came. The store was not busy. At register the item rang up 39.00 more than the price on the shelf. We waited while they verified the price. They were kind enough to charge me the advertised price.
Stopped in after work, a half hour before they closed, to purchase the new Zelda Breath of the Wild. Rob guided me to the games and when it appeared to be sold out. He told me he would make sure I didnt leave the store without the game if they still had a copy in store. He did some searching and found the VERY last one. He was absolutely amazing and everyone in there was so friendly and helpful!! He went above and beyond and was extremely kind from start to finish. After a long week, that experience was just what I needed. Enjoying my new game, thank you!
Twice now I have had to deal with the horrible and unfriendly customer service of one specific individual! Kenyatta has a chip on her shoulder the size of an iceberg! I asked a straightforward question about the return policy and she walked away dismissing the question. When confronted she liked saying she didnt hear me.The manager who had to approve the return override wasnt much nicer, I missed his name because I was trying to get my question answered. He was rude and short as well.Now I know, take reviews with a grain of salt but I swear until I actually told Kenyatta that she was unfriendly I was nothing but polite and cordial. I was in a great mood hanging out with my daughter until her rudeness soured my mood!Ive referred people away from this stores geek squad because of inferior service a few years ago and now I will tell all I know that the customer service lacks severely!! Time for another store!
Rochester Road store does not meet average custumer expectations. Nobody came right away when I was already looking the product I was interested in.After, the sales consultant that did the purchase transaction had to done it 3 times!!!. He also misunderstood what we were saying (we wanted to use a gift card in our second purchase, typical action, right?. I know!!!!!!).He needs a lot of training, but the shameless thing, is 2 of his partners saw he was struggling and didnt help. I do not care if do not like each other, they should take care about the customer!!!! (Even if other associate has to finish the transaction).
Extremely dissatisfied with this Best Buy and more importantly the manager Kyle. In regards to an exchange/return he was extremely rude, laughed at our concerns, & clearly did not know how to work with customers.I wouldnt be so disappointed if it werent for the fact that he laughed at me while I was upset with a product and couldnt help me find a solution to the issue I was having with a defective screen protector.Its a shame because my family and I come to this Best Buy all the time for all of our electronics and Christmas gifts. We will no longer be returning here and I have canceled all of my car installations that were to get done at Best Buy. We will not waste one more single dollar on a store with such poor and rude management.I have no problem being flexible in terms of exchange policies but what Im not ok with is being a customer who spends a lot of time and money here and gets treated so poorly.I work in a business where we deal with a lot of customers and I would NEVER treat someone so poorly for whatever reason. Its disgusting and unprofessional but I guess its Best Buy who lost our business in the long run.
Looks more like an empty warehouse. I bought a microwave not in a box got it home only to find out it didnt work. Bad business. I believe it was bought by someone else prior to myself purchasing it. Dont worry America I put it in the trash so that nobody else had to deal with that headache.
I do always buy any of our electronic products from Best Buy from the beginning, I did not have any bitter experiences from any Best Buy stores from either USA or Canada but I went to this store to purchase a chest freezer before the Black Friday week (2018) and I found for the home appliance section there were only 2 sales representatives assigned and they were not able to handle 5-7 potential customers. I had to wait more than 45 minutes to get the Yes or No ans. And even the floor samples were very limited to check physically, and there were just one piece of sample product (5 Cu Ft) for entire chest freezer. I hope the store management will focus on forecasting the upcoming events by increasing the resources.
I had a really helpful employee that knew what he was talking about and went in the back to find me an open box item that saved me money and looks and performs like its new without me even asking him to. I would go back to this location versus another Best Buy just for the great service I received.
Worst Customer Service EVER!!! I ordered an item for in store pickup at the Rochester Hills location. I was notified via email within ten minutes that my item was available for pickup. So my wife drove the 30 minute drive to go pickup our item that was ordered and paid for. Upon arrival my wife was told that the item is no longer available and that they were out. So the item i pre ordered, paid for, and was told to come pickup was not there. Did not offer my wife anything other than a refund. After my call to the store manager still nothing. I have been on the phone with best buy for 45:09 mins so far trying to get what I ordered and some sort of compensation for their screw up. So far have gotten no where! I will never go to this Best Buy or any other Best buy for anything after a wonderful day of customer service from them. I will also post this review on other social media and let everyone I know not to either.
Worst Best Buy store in the entire Michigan state. Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service. You wander around for like an hour and no one would even bother ask if you need help. Their sales people are so good in huddling and talking to each other that customers are not taken cared of. They will just stare at you and keep on talking to the other sales people. They never DO anything unless approached for help. Terrible terrible terrible customer service. Iβve been coming here for years and Iβm really tired of their service. This store should just be closed down and just keep the Utica/Auburn Hills branch cover the Rochester Area. This store is a total customer service garbage in my opinion. Iβd rather drive 30mins to another Best Buy than come here.
Ive had some ups and downs with this place. The customer service for the most part have been attentive enough to ask if i needed help finding anything. I usually dont, so it can become a little over bearing but i know thats part of their job. The store is organized and clean. The biggest problem i have had was when they had a event for Super Smash Brothers, they had everyone line up outside with no indication of how long the wait would be. The Managers in charge were far to strict and took a lot of the fun away from the experience.
I typically dislike Best Buys, they are often laid out like mazes intentionally so you get trapped inside for an extended period of time. This Best Buy however is a gem. It is laid out simular to an apple store where there are pods with different items and the transit between pods is efficient.Keep an eye out in the back of the store because occasionally there are some gems of video games in their bargain bin.
I went to exchange an item outside of the 15 days. Im a My bestbuy member but dont spend enough to be an elite member for the 30 day return/exchange. Anyhow the lady told me that I was out of the 15 day window. She was very short with me and I had to keep asking questions to learn that I will have to deal with the manufacturer. She didnt give me any help with the how and where to do this. I then went out to my car to look up the information and then went back in with questions and she still couldnt help me. Disappointed.
Will never buy from this company anymore. I paid 3500 dollars for a refrigerator and 600 for a warranty. I have bought at least 10000 in appliances and entertainment products. My fridge quit working properly and i called geek squad to come out and look at it. After calling 4 times getting disconnected twice and being on hold for almost for another hoir was told warranty expired 10 days ago and to bad can not and will not do anything for me. I asked about extended warranty and was told they no longer do that either they quit that in the beginning of March if i would have called in February they could have extended it again but did not give the customers the option of getting it again. I am reasonable person and I was even willing to pay part of service fee if needed was told nope we are not doing anymore cod work. I will never buy another product from this comapny again and make sure i send anyone that ever asks me NOT to go there ever.
I love this place, always well stocked, informed staff, and clean bathrooms. But they just cant seem to figure out how to put the TP away... This isnt the first time Ive found it in random places but this one was post-worthy! (Yes I had to sneak my purse under their creative storage place and no, I didnt put it there to be funny)
This is the most embarrassing Best Buy I ever enter in my life.There is 4 checkout places that you canβt even check out and the way go have to go to just check out is so confusing.Employees are just have a conversation with each other and not helping customers.I will never enter this Best Buy ever in my life.
Staff was not treating the customer properly. I was waiting for help with my purchase for almost 45 minute but no one turned up. I stopped atlest 3 staff member for help but every time they left telling that someone will be there for help shortly.Later, I approached help desk at the enterance, and asked the lady for help wnd she was rudest of all. She rudely replied that everyone is busy in the store and I should wait more. Looking at this rude behaviour I finally decided to leave without purchasing my stuff.
I recently bought a high end Samsung dryer from Best Buy Rochester Hills, Mi on Wed, 10/26/16. We arranged for delivery the following Tues, 11/1 between 8 and 12. Around 8:30 that Tues, I received a call telling me the dryer would not be delivered that day. They wanted to deliver Saturday which was quite far out so I called the store directly for help. The appliance manager was busy when I called and couldnt speak with me but my phone number was taken and I was told he would call back within a half hour. After an hour came and went with no call, I called the store again (note that every time you call the store, you get routed to a call center and it takes about 10 min to get to your party). This time I spoke to the store manager. He politely listened and explained that this Best Buy did not do direct deliveries. My dryer didnt make the truck to take it to Cleveland at the warehouse 200 miles away only to be put on another truck to bring it back to my house which is 3 miles from the store. I really thought he was joking at first but no, this is the Best Buy process. The store manager said he would have the appliance manager call to confirm Saturday delivery. The appliance manager call me later on Tues and said yet another problem with the system had occurred and that he could not schedule the dryer pick up from the store until the next day (Wed) but he would call me and confirm that it had happened. Wed came and went and no call of confirmation every arrived. So I call the store back on Thurs only to find the appliance manager was off. I spoke to the store manager again (after 15-20 min) and he assured he that the dryer was good to go and would be picked up from the store on Thursday for its journey 200 miles away in Cleveland. Somehow this made me feel good. However, late Friday, another manager from the store called me. She said there was yet another problem. The dryer indeed had made it to Cleveland but there was another stop on the mystery tour. This time it went to Romulus, MI which was a contractor that would do the final delivery. There was another computer problem with the order and they couldnt print the order and therefore it could not be put on the final truck due to insurance reasons. At this point, I thought I had woke up in an alternative universe where logic and reason did not exist. The manager explained they had no idea when my dryer could be delivered but she was trying very hard. She even said she was working until 8pm on Friday Nov 4 and would leave me a voice mail at the end of her shift with an update to the status. I am writing this Saturday morning and am still waiting for my call from her and I still have no idea when, if ever my delivery will arrive.If youre ever wondering why Best Buy has declined in light of the new competition, I think this story clearly illustrates a half dozen reasons. Do yourself a favor and do business anywhere else, I know I will!
Terrible Store - there were several customers there returning christmas presents - all were denied any kind of return - not even an in-store credit. Long return lines just to deal with an unfriendly employee. Totally going through Amaxon for all my future purchases. Wanted to support a local store but not when they act this way. I left the junky CD player I bougt there at the return desk and walked out.
After doing an extensive amount of research and looking over every detail I went into Best Buy ready to tackle the ignorance and slick slimey salesman that Im used to at big box stores, hiding behind their big fake smiles, armed with quick and incorrect information like The difference between i and p on televisions is intermediate and professional, you want a professional television, dont you?, but I was wrong.I was greeted as I entered with a smile and a wave then as I continued towards the TVs no one pounced despite the mostly empty store. When I reached the TV section I looked for about five minutes before a friendly voice asked if I was finding everything alright or if I had any questions. When I turned, I saw the smile I expected but as I answered that I did have things narrowed down, he let me jbiw hed be happy to help if I needed anything and he could be round near by. My guard down by his mild mannered approach, I let him know where I was and he expertly gave answers to my questions and then provided prompt service to locate what I wanted and had me set up to pick up my merch at a neighboring store with no hassle. A quick offering of an extended warranty, but said no more after I declined. He then asked if he could assist with anything else, perhaps a sound system and when I verified I had my own, let it be and cashed me out.It was excellent service in a professional atmosphere. No pushing, honest answers, clean store and I left happy. Good work team!
Dont ever shop at best buy at Rochester and Auburn. Spent 1000.00 on a iPhone 10s max only to find out that it is defective and was previously used and sold as new. Contacted apple and they checked into the phone and they believe that it was previously used and possibly was a display model that best buy packaged and resold as new. We attempted to return it but their managers Ken and Robert refused to waive the 35.00 restocking fee even though they sold a used defective phone. So dont buy anything there seeing as they sell used merchandise. Also the manager and employees were actually laughing about the situation and making fun of us in the store. Completely unprofessional.
The manager Jonah is a huge jerk he was very rude and cancled my orders for no reason. He does not know how to treat customers at all. On top of that he was treating his employees horribly also. Made me NEVER want to go back to that store again. Trust me I dont ever write reviews but I had to this time. Ive never experienced such disrespect at a store.
There is always someone to help you with questions.Different from home depot, where there were two employees to help one customer, but no one to help others (including me). So I left the store and went to best buy to buy exactly the same item (microwave oven) for the same price.
There is a reason why this this store has a low rating , i have experienced it . The acting manager Victoria is on a power trip . Returned an item that Victoria claimed it was opened and used, after she opened the new product and handled it herself. She had a total bad attitude .Called the a few days to speak to the store manager , i was handed off Justin ( not store manager). He was no help what so ever , he was obviously was just sticking to Victorias story. Finally got a hold of Todd ( store manager) on the phone after week , very unprofessional to handle this situation after explaining what happened.Very disappointed with this , My family and I have spent a lot of money with this store. We will never go back.
I tried to return a screen protector that did not work and a manager named Kyle was very rude about it. Throughout our conversation he was very sarcastic and kept laughing at the problem we had and the only solution he provided us was to give us store credit or another screen protector when all we wanted was to get our money back. His logic was that he can only do store credit because the company of the screen protector would reimburse the money to best buy. I asked him why they couldnt just reimburse my money if the screen protector company was going to reimburse the store but his response was that he couldnt do anything because of store policy and started laughing. His solution was for me to get another screen protector and he was willing to bypass (breaking company policy) the 8 dollar fee and install the screensaver onto my phone. I dont understand as a costumer how this is supposed to make my experience better if I clearly stated I did not want that screen protector and I only wanted my money back! I dont quite understand how a person like kyle who is obviously not qualified to be a manager (lacks people skills and manners) is expected to solve my problem. I have been a best buy costumer for as long as I can remember and I have always been very satisfied with their products but after my experience today I can honestly say it completely changed my perspective of the store and its employees.
Regardless what anybody says this location in this store is absolutely incredible every team member I have met is very well knowledged on the products that are sold in the store. The management team is incredible as well especially the manager by the name of Jason. The store is always clean and they are always very professional across-the-board I highly recommend this location 100%.
Clean, organized, and no one harassed me. Went in for a specific computer. Employee asked me if I needed help. I said, No, I just need this computer He simply said, I can do that. Grabbed the computer, rung me out and I was on my way. Less than 10 mins. No pushing other sales or add ons. My kind of electronic store experience. :)
What an outstanding team. On 6/18,. I came in to only look at a computer, because mine had died, only to end up purchasing a new one and got a very good deal on it. I apologize for not getting her name, but the lady that helped me was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely come here again for future purchases. Thank you.
I had originally left a poor review because I did get horrible service from the online orders rep that I tried to call when my order was canceled with no explanation... However, I have to give them credit because a manager for one of the departments called me back within about a half hour, explained the problem, and gave me options to fix it, so my second interaction with them was far better.
The place is run by morons. the lady who set me up with a remote starter installation told me it would cost me $480 for the Viper system but then saved nothing in stock for my appointment when I showed up. So I had to leave. Nick, the auto mechanic is incredibly frustrated with his job and takes it out on his customers. Dude was condescending the whole time. Not sure how hes still working there.
Try to buy a Samsung phone for the advertised price of $350. The Bloomfield, Michigan store wanted $550 for it. Drove back home and verified the advertised price and called the store again and they said their website was wrong. Called the Rochester, Michigan store and they said the price was $350. I drove 10 miles to find out they were sold out. Madison Height and Southfield, Michigan were also sold out. Asked the Rochester sales person to call Bloomfield and ask them to sell me their phone for the advertised price. Nobody would pick up the phone at Bloomfield. So left and while drive home (hands free), called Bloomfield and discussed with the manager that both Rochester and Madison Heights said I qualified for the $350 price. He said they were wrong, that if I tried ordering on line, at the end before checkout my price would increase to $550 because I did not activate a new number. Once home, I order the phone to Bloomfield and paid $350, the advertised price keeping my same number an carrier. Called the Bloomfield store to arrange pick up. They were sold out and only had a phone in and open box. Manager was unavailable to discuss buying open box phone with a pain and suffering discount. I ask if the manager would return my call. Still no call, 3 hours later. Now, I will not get new phone before 10 days because next delivery is 6 days and I have a scheduled trip that will add another 4 days. Think twice before shopping Best Buy at Bloomfield.
Good selection of electronics. Most of the floor team is helpful. Usually the team member can answer your questions about a given device, and recently if the person you are talking to directly doesnt know an answer theyve been great at finding another who will be able to.
I bought a 55 4K smart TV ftom this branch in Rochester Hills and was very impressed with the technical skills of the guy who helped me. Although I did my research but he added useful information which enabled me choose the right model. They matched the price I had from another competitor and all were very friendly. I always get my electronic stuff from Best buy.
Excellent store. Responsive staff. Friendly and attentive general manager. Worked to get me the best deal. Much better than Madison Heights where they did not even know the camera specials. Purchased a Sony a6000, Samsung TabPro and a 64GB memory card with the help of a smart young lady and gentleman as well as the general manager. Come here if you want good advice and tech expertise. Madison Heights was friendly but ignorant about the product specials of the day.
Worst customer service! I tried to return Turbotax because I needed one with a digital download. The website description said it was CD/digital download because my laptop doesnt have a disc drive. When I took it in, the customer service rep wasnt sure if it was. I specifically told her dont open it if I cant return it. So she opened it. We found out it was CD only. So she put the seal back on. It came with a deal for a free $10 gift card, which I hadnt received yet so she said to wait until I received it on Tuesday. I went home, and came back one week later. I was told that since it was opened, all they could do was exchange it. I explained that it was THEIR EMPLOYEE that had opened it. Despite this, the manager, Justin, would not budge so now Im stuck with a $40 piece of software that I cant even use!!
A week ago I went in to get the new MacBook Pro 2018 for my brother. We got it in the mail a few days later and when he opened it there were finger prints and scratches already on the βnewβ MacBook! We called the store and they made us come in to return and repurchase the space gray. Instead they sold us the silver and when we told them them rudely said theyβd switch it, two days later a silver MacBook shows up to my house and yet again we had to drag ourselves back to the store to return it. Luckily they had one space gray one in stock.Iβm glad we got what we wanted but this went on for two weeks rather than a few days. Definitely going to think twice before purchasing something.
I was in a real fix, since my phone became a brick. I depend on GPS a lot since I was new to Troy! I had been to Bestbuy and BreAnna gave valuable insight in choosing the right phone and helped me to migrate my SIM to my new phone. She was quite intelligent and genuinely cared about my phone. She voluntarily called up the battery store to check the battery for my old phone and helped me to configure my new phone. Ofcourse, while the new phone configuration was not straight forward since only my brother knows the account details and I couldnt reach him since his phone number was in my broken phone. BreAnna patiently waited as I figured out the details. She was very good in problem solving and sorted out all issues and got my phone setup. I was very much relieved since I was able to use my new phone GPS to reach to my hotel. Its people like BreAnna, who truly care for the customers, that makes Bestbuy still a place to go.

Sorry about the 15 day return policy, they cant change the rules. If youre above a basic rewards member, you receive a longer period to return items. Customer Brandon Cloutier: you dont negotiate prices at a retail store like Best Buy. I support you as a veteran, but Im not going to kiss your ass for it. You are an American, just like everybody else, and everybody else, pays the same price. Customer Rupesh Tarun: If you dont take proper care of your items, they break. If you do, and they still break 9/10 the manufacture provides a 1+ year return policy, and Best Buy also has a 15-45 day return policy on defective items, pending your Reward Zone status. Dont blame the store for the manufactures problems. Everyone, learn to review a store. Its knowledge, customer service, product selection, helpfulness, and your satisfaction. Not your personal hangups.
Multiple bad experience. Customer service is not effective at all. On one occasion the sales person didnt care to recommend me the accessories which would have resulted in more sales for best buy while on another they made huge blunder to en cash gift certificate resulting into multiple credit card swipes. Recently I went to trade in macbook pro so that I can pre-order Surface laptop at best buy. They offered me $72 for i5,256,8Gb 2015 Retina. I was shocked, they had some wrong value associated. Customer service after much pursuation called team leader who ask to open ticket with corporate but till date they have not contacted. Anyway it turned out good. I got much good value at other retailer from who I ordered my laptop.I wont recommend this best buy. Better go to some other location!
Will not be returning to this location in Rochester. I went in with the intention of upgrading cell phones and purchasing a tablet. I was in the area of cell phones for several minutes browsing, two male employees were to busy sitting and on their cell phones to even notice any customer. I was approached by a young lady from another department. She asked if she could help. I asked if she knew anything about phones she said no but the two men over there do. I said never mind if they can not be observate enough if their surroundings they do not deserve the sale.
I like Best Buy stores in general, because they usually have a decent selection at decent prices, but its unfortunate that theyve cut inventory so much to reduce overhead in a bid to compete with online sales. I still shop at Best Buy, but because of the narrower selection, its less frequent.
The worst store ever. Every product i have bought from this store has either broken or stopped working for some reason. i bought sol headphones and they broke within a couple months. i just bough the new beats studio v2 for my birthday about 2 weeks ago and i had to replace them twice or thrice. worst bestbuy ever. i suggest going to the one in madison heights. i have had perfect service with them.
Native Guide John here. Best kept secret on undating your cell phone. They gave me friendly, Knowledgeable, effective advice, and saved me money. They saved me at least an hour over going to ATT. Id sooner swim in a river with piranhas then go to my local AT&T store. They ordered me an UNLOCKED S10e white phone 256gb and 8 gb processor. Hint the 128gb has only a 6gb processor. An unlocked phone has less bloat ware on it. My old S5 had minimum specs so it paused and past away, Ill give it a Viking Funeral after we use its SIM card. It will go to Valhalla to receive and drop calls all day and watch YouTube all night. Without needing to recharge. Will the miracles never cease? Dont buy the best or the worst. Buy it the middle. The sweet spot. Eyes open. No fear.
The staff was very friendly, I couldnt find the movie at first that I wanted. I asked an employee he looked it up in the system to see if they had it. He told me it was probably in a bin on the other side of the store. He was actually nice enough to walk over there with me and help me find the movie.
The Store usually sells good quality items but the store is not open to price negotiations. I asked if I could get a military or veterans discount. They would not give me one. Guess it doesnt matter I deployed to Afghanistan twice to serve our country. I also went to this store to buy an Xbox One during a double points (reward zone) event but the store said they were not participating in the double points event otherwise I would have bought the Xbox One. I still may go to this store, but it will only serve as a show room for me from now on. Ill find a product I like there then go home and buy it online for cheaper.
Well we generally stay at Hamptons, but will not revisit this one.1 the room darkening shades did not close all the way, had to use pillows and chairs to hold curtain in place. 2 The valance was failing off the window. 3 Not enough towels, 4 and there was aloud rumbling noise every half hour (sounded like the horn in a cruise ship) going off through out the night. Aka no sleep. Sorry Hampton thumbs down on this location
They hate their customers so much, you canβt even get them on the phone. No wonder theyβre going out of business. Iβm going to buy my thing on amazon instead because at least with amazon I know whatβs in stock without having to call someone who doesnβt want to talk to me.
People that help me didnt seem like they knew what they were doing after an hour and a half had to leave one Best Buy go to another to finish up another hour and a half there I dont think they knew what they were doing girl had broken leg shouldnt have been at work had to ask everybody for help push you around in a wheelchair didnt make much sense be a while before I go back to Best Buy

Its obviously the same, but Best Buy dont want to give the discount they are promising. The only things Best Buy is really good in are fake reviews and ripping off people!

2021-09-11Delivery is a joke! Twice, I scheduled delivery of my fridge online and with the geek squad. Twice I was promised delivery. Twice no delivery. First time the truck actually showed, but left. I called and was told their was a stick in my drive - I removed the stick within two minutes (Im currently disabled due to auto accident and had no problem moving the stick). Called the truck immediately to let them know no stick, called Geek Squad and called Management and they said no to delivery. Rescheduled for two weeks out and Best Buy confirmed twice via text the day before. The day of delivery -- no call; no delivery; no help. I bet they delivered my fridge to someone else.Filing Better Business Bureau complaint. Theyve taken my money but refuse to fulfill their contract to deliver the product as agreed.Funny, I can order the same fridge on line from Best Buy and get it delivered in two days. Yet, they want me to wait another 10 days for delivery.Dishonest, Manipulative and Deceitful... yet, they do it all with a smile.Management refuses to contact me. Geek Squad now just disconnects me online chat and hangs up on me on the phone.

2020-11-29No assistance available, except at front door where I was able to ask where I would go for the item(s) I was seeking to buy. For a busy Holiday shopping day I found it disappointing. Cashier was friendly and excellent. People were not using designated checkout line, most likely because it is poorly laid out and runs into the geek squad section. Better signage and possibly a different color band to separate the two could be an advantage, or have someone there to make sure the right line is used.

2020-12-30Couldnβt be happier with the customer service provided by Ryan, Maxine, and Jeremy! Me and my girlfriend switched providers and got 2 new phones and not only was the process fast and smooth, but they really went out of their way to ensure we got the best deal. They really made us feel valued as customers and they were more helpful than any cell phone store has ever been (I always feel like Iβm being scammed to spend more money at the AT&T store) But they were amazing and I would recommend anyone needing help with phone service to them!! Overall outstanding customer service!!

2020-12-21Its a big store that has stuff to buy. Though it seems a shell of what it once was, Best Buy still has TVs and Computers and Video games, all things you can get cheaper at other places. How anyone stills pays for Geek Squad is beyond me.I also find it odd that some Best Buys still have garages for when they installed high-end car radios and speakers. I wonder how much of that they still do?

He checked me out quickly.Then when we needed a converter cable, I suggested we go to Best Buy. The staff was very helpful. Both times we went to Best Buy, it was a great experience.

2020-09-06Dont trust their Best Buy delivery service. I bought two televisions. They only delivered one. Didnt knock! Left only one TV leaning upside down against a bench outside the front of my house and left while I was asking for them to please bring it inside. It was too heavy for me and he wouldnt listen just took off.Didnt know where my second television was.I called Best Buy management, corporate, and customer support. Was promised repeatedly that they would come back and pick the TV up because I did not trust it being in one piece. It took me almost a month to finally realize they were not going to do anything about it and I had to pay someone to take it back to the store and they still gave me a hard time about returning it. I didnt even open it. I would like to end with the three girls that helped you when I went in there were fantastic. I do remember one of the girls names and it was Maxine. They were so helpful and professional that I decided to purchase and more expensive TV .When I talked to the Best Buy credit dept. to raise my limit because I didnt have any other credit cards with me she pulled up the wrong persons account and I was denied. All of that time looking and measuring to see if it would fit on my Sons end on the phone was for nothing and my Credit Score took a hit!I hope Maxine and the other two girls get some recognition for their time effort kindness and professionalism which isa very rare gift in this world today.Sincerely,Auby Paulick
