Never did tell me the selling price for either vehicle I was interested in without running my application through banks first. I just wanted to know how much they were asking for these vehicles to know if they were a good selling price.
This dealerships service reps are the worst. The day I dropped my vehicle there was nobody around for ten minutes. When I picked my vehicle up they was rude as I asked for someone to look at a light out. They both said it had to be left for diagnosing and couldnt be done for a week.
🤔 do you see the issue as my Truck is a 2.5 Chevrolet Colorado GASOLINE ENGINE..??? Let me fill you in, this is a Heavy duty DIESEL ENGINE FILTER, therefore RESTRICTING the AIR FLOW in which my truck NEEDS to Perform Correctly. Hey Mechanic @ Betten Baker Chevrolet in Big Rapids, MI,, YOU Need to go back to the Books!BOOKS!! Now that Ive obtained the RIGHT filter and changed it, maybe just maybe my Truck wont Have Issues!!!!😡😡 Very Unsatisfied with your Service and Overly High Service Labor Rates and INSTALLING WRONG PARTS!!!

I had a long list of specific options I wanted on my Truck. My dad had purchased multiple vehicles from Blain Adams at this dealership and recommend Blain as a sales consultant. Thanks for the hard credit pull for literally nothing. Got denied for a specific car due to a negative equity and credit not being perfect, which was fine. Was asking for more clarity on something, and they straight up ignored me after that.
Im not very happy with my experience. I had a oil change done and the tech left the used oil filter on the cross member of my Traverse. When I went out to the garage there was oil all over the floor and this is what we discovered.
Sales guy was polite but every year they do this sweepstakes scam where they let you think you win a nice prize but you get in there they show you the fine print and you get something cheap instead while they try and sell you a car

For buying a 30,000 dollar car from you, Your service department SUCKS!!!! Rude very hard to work with. I make a living using my car. everyday my car is down cost me 250+ dollars. I bought a new car so I did not have to worry about repairs and it has been a joke. If I could have driven it back to Iowa to Billion Auto believe me I would have. This place is by far the best service department of any dealership I have ever been to!! Im visiting my family up here and needed an oil change highpoint in cadillac (thats near my family) was rude like everytime I try to get my vehicle in, they couldnt get me in for two weeks so I called this dealership they fit me in and very professional and friendly. My car than had a light that turned on I called them again they were booked but tried to squeeze me in to figure it out the same day because I was leaving the next dayy to Tennessee. Super friendly and professional I highly recommend them worth the extra drive!!

Have been in here 3 times in the last 2 weeks just to get a body and a new key fob.Still dont have either and I dont think at this point they are going to bother trying to help.Additionally the parts section (in the center of the building) smells like an ashtray as if they smoke right at the counter.Going to take the time to drive to another dealership where maybe customer service will mean something

I had called the prior Monday to have a tire ordered, at which time I was told the tire would be there by Tuesday. This was fine, as I made the appointment for the following Friday. Yet, when I arrived, the tire was not there and the Parts employee had no record of ordering the tire. I could not leave without having the tire replaced (damaged) and they put one on that was in stock that does not match my other tires. I was told the correct one would be ordered and I could come in to have it put on, but I have not been contacted that the tire has come in.
Jared was so helpful when I was on a very tight time restraint to find another vehicle before I left for college. He helped me find the perfect car in my budget that met all my needs. I love it!

I recently purchased a GMC Terrain. All of the employees at the dealership were friendly and inviting. Once I decided to buy the vehicle, I was on a time crunch and Rich was able to get the sale process completed within the timeframe and he even assisted with transferring my children’s car seats! Your tech that serviced my Chevy, did not wipe the string wheel down, there was oil on it and if he checked the spare tire marked that tire was OK at 35 lbs, they need 60 lbs of air not 35 lbs like the rest of the tires. Someone needs to train them or have them really check the tires I had new tires installed on the car and they checked the spare and it was only 34 lbs.NOT GOOD

I had an appointment for a recall on my 2012 Equinox at 9:00 AM which I had been told would take about 2 hours. I arrived on time and sat down to wait my 2 hours. After about 1 and 3/4 of an hour a young lady came out and told me it would be a bit longer then told me about a mouse nest in the engine that had held them up. I asked how much longer, she told me about 2 hours. I walked over to the little mall across the street and shopped for a little less than 2 hours. When I returned, the same young lady told me it would be a bit longer and that they had the car on the lift and were under it now. A little bit later she returned and gave me a card for a free oil change. This was a nice offer but did not alleviate the extremely long wait that I had endured. As it turned out, my car was done about 5 or 10 minutes to 3. That is a total of 6 hours I had to wait for what I was told was a 2 hour procedure. I was very upset about the wait and when I was asked to sign all the paperwork, I did notice that the work on the car started at 10:55. As for the mouse nest delay, how long can it take to scoop out the nest and throw it away? I was also surprised that many of the employees were not wearing masks, we are still in the middle of a pandemic and the numbers in Michigan are rising dramatically. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this dealership.

There is no reason an oil change with an appointment should take 1.5 hours. Well Im here to tell you that twice now at this place it does! 26 point inspection? HA! They missed the lights that are burnt out. They did not give us a sticker on when to return. They did not clear the change oil soon message. I called 2 times to speak with the service guy bob prior to my appointment. One would think I for sure have an appointment. My wife shows up and Bob has no clue that we have an appointment. Then he says well the city dropped off 9 vehicles so its gonna be awhile. Well whats the point of my appointment??? This place will give you low quality service and charge you full price. Save yourself and go to the local guy....
Service told my wife that if we get our vehicle diagnosed there that better has to fix the problem and fix it through them. Also, that we would be required to leave the car over the weekend if we had it looked at even if we didnt want to fix it right nowSeriously? What a giant lie. Thats what youre telling customers. You need to check your service reps.

Our youth group was traveling back to Illinois from a sledding trip to the family farm in the Tustin area when our Traverse started having major trouble. we called from along side the road and explained our situation. what we got was the run around of list of possible problems. we were rudely told that they MIGHT be able to look at the next morning but no guarantee of looking at it then. (this was early afternoon when we called. ) we asked for a referral to another repair shop. we were again rudely told that there were no other dealerships in the area. talk about feeling like youre being kicked when youre already down! we were stranded on the road with a bunch of kids in January. we then called Quality Car Care in big Rapids. there was no comparison! (see our review if you want help and compassion. ) To this dealership we remind you that if someone is traveling through it doesnt mean they they arent from the area or have family that still live/work in the area.

We had a great experience with Betten Baker in Big Rapids. Anna was a great sales rep to work with and helped us to feel comfortable and at ease while we selected the exact car we wanted. Mark in finance is great to work with and went the extra mile for us. We noticed an issue with the car once we drove off the lot, and the dealership fixed it for us free of charge while providing us with a free loaner as well. We live in Grand Rapids, and Mark was even willing to drive down our loaner for us so we didnt have to drive up to Big Rapids two more times. We would definitely work with them to find another vehicle in the future!

Very friendly people; however, the oil they use is pretty garbage as I was 15-20 psi lower than what I normally run. I usually change my own oil but took it here for a matter of convenience to myself. Just changed my oil today and had to crush the oil filter to get it off and busted my knuckles trying to loosen the drain plug. Neither of those items should be tightened that much. Even tho the staff was very friendly; their products and knowledge seem to not be up to my par. I will continue to change my own oil from now on; as then I know for a fact it’s getting good product.

I was recently in to get both of the recalls fixed on my car when I also found out that I had a transmission leak. Everyone there at the time was super nice, caring, and respectful. The woman (I think her name is Terry) that worked the front desk was very nice! She gave me a ride home and then picked me up from the eye doctor to be able to pick up my car! Also, she didnt try to sell me things I didnt need to get done! I especially liked that the gentleman that was working on my car showed me where the leak was coming from and what he recommended. Overall, this shop is amazing! And if I need anything done in the future, this will be my first choice. Overall, my experience was amazing.

2021-10-19First time buying a vehicle from Betten baker and let me tell you it has been by far my best experience yet. Don helped me get the car that fit my needs, is a very dependable Suv. Great price came with a warranty and when I felt there was an issue with my car, setting up an appointment was easy and convenient. Very knowledgeable about vehicles and also helped me with a loaner if service was taking a bit longer then expected. Im telling you this is the best dealership in the area. Highly recommend to all my family and friends. I also won a nice Yetti cooler at their raffle give away event. If you are looking for a new car for great prices stop in and ask for Don!

2021-11-11My wife and I were looking for a used pick-up truck and searched online. We found one in the Betten Baker group at their South Haven location. A perfect fit. I was traveling out west and my wife handled the whole transaction with them and they made her feel very comfortable.We were buying a used truck and when my wife got it home there was one small issue. They took care of it right away after contacting them. Then they also followed up to make sure they got it corrected.Hard to find good customer service today! But we did!

2022-02-06I have been working on my credit score and finally got it up to where I could get a loan.Went to Better/ Baker car lot .Pulled in there was a sales me there waiting to greet me he was so nice and funny.I was. Nervous did really know if I could get a car or not. He made me feel very comfortable , I told him my story and he told me he would try everything he could to get me a vehicle. Well I could not get the loan but in then end I am glad I have to wait just a bit longer due to the. Payments I would had have had were just a bit to much for my budget... I would be sweating every month for that extra money.All in all I will for sure be going back as soon as I can..So anyone looking for a new vehicle stop in at Better/ Baker Big Rapids they make you feel like a friend.

2021-11-11Man did we need a vehicle our old Equinox was on its last leg at about 200,000. My husband and I really werent fond of car dealerships, sure didnt want those sharks trying g to get us in a car we didnt want. My husband called Betten Baker because we seen it on a race car at Berlin. He got Scott Baker when he called and he was so thorough and patient. He along with one of the salesman get into a nice Equinox. Betten Baker helped change our perspective of the car salespeople and walked us through the whole process and we have sent multiple people to see them.

2022-05-12Absolutely HORRIBLE service! Had a 10:30 am appointment and they still did not have the vehicle in at 1:50 pm. Then when I ask about it, I am bother them and even had the service guide yell Oh my God after he set the phone down to go check on the tech. Horrible customer service and nothing but problems. Then I get to pick up the truck and they did work without my permission. All the while, the kid was eyeballing me and running his mouth still around corners. DO NOT GO HERE!
