The man at the service desk was on facetime with his girlfriend while trying to help me. He couldnt find me in the system after I had been there multiple times for oil changes or other services over the years. I had an appointment on a Monday morning, I didnt hear back from them til I called and left a message Tuesday afternoon. After playing phone tag with the service person, I left a message telling them to go ahead and do what they needed to do because I need my car. Wednesday I get a call from the service person asking what I wanted to do. Never got my message he said. I told him what I said in my message. I then called back and asked for a manager because I wanted someone else to help me. I left several messages about this, asking to get a different service person. But still this gentleman kept calling and leaving messages. I used to love coming here
Had my car serviced through Betten Chevrolet.Arrived to pick up my vehicle and waited an hour or more. Then to be told my car was taken by another customer.when I ask how does this happens? Was told it was out of their hands once the car is outside in the Parkering lot. Needless to say the company took no responsibility for their actions. No apology no refunds no discount no nothing. Then when I asked for corporates number I was denied. Do not take your business here.

Dealt with Betten for the first time, personally, and the service wasnt bad. Ended up waiting longer than expected for a spare key to be made (1.5 hours) and while sitting in the waiting room I over heard a sales person state that they hate people.Probably shouldnt be echoing things like that when youre working directly in a customer service based environment...
Doug woods has regained my confidence with Betten. I have never received such good service or personal attention from the Chevy side, he truly looks out for the customer!
Worst dealership Ive ever delt with. I would never recommend them to anyone. This is the second time in two years of trying to buy a vehicle from them. I was treated like I wasnt there. Kinda sad even when you know someone there.. I should of learned my lesson the first time.

For buying a new vehicle I would recommend 100%...Customer service is spectacular! The maintenance shop....I would not recommended. First off my service was on May 7th not the 19th. Still waiting on a call from the shop about my brakes. Been over two weeks now. No calls. And the price I was quoted for my brake pads to be replaced... just the pads? NEVER would I pay that and i would hope no one else is either! And I HAVE to get it done there?? NO I DONT. Already scheduled it else where.

Andrew was great, he got everything together fast and seamlessly. I was able to pretty much from start to finish purchase my suv in 8 hours, even with this huge vehicle shortage.
Great job to fix my volt in just a few hours so I could travel back to the East side of the state as I was visiting family for the weekend. I was really worried about the oil leak and smoke being a major problem to fix and Betten took care of it like a pro.
Came to buy a car had great service from a wonderful lady named Linda I recomend her to any one she really cares and will work with you SO U GET A CARSo 3 weeks later bolth of my tires are ate up from a alignment that was never done on the car. My transmission is knocking and betten topd me I have to take it somewhere jeep certified hoping that the auto protection plan covers it will be updating soon.So warrenty covers it thankfully any ways Bentons had my jeep for 2 weeks got the call today that it was done and they put a new trans in it I drive the 3 hours to pick up my car and once I get there I get in and cant even drive out of the parking lot aparently no one test drove it after replacing the trans and when I went back inside they said they would look into it so here I am getting a 3rd new trans in less than a month of owning this vehicle I will never come back to benton and I dont reccomend any one dose ether they dont test drive there cars or inspect them even if they say they do come on lets be honest my jeep Ive had it for 4 weeks its had 3 transmissions put in it all new tires and a ailment because they never did any of that before selling me the jeep DO NOT SHOP HERE
GM takes biggest blame as they could not provide key parts, took 6 months to get car back. Only thing dealer could have done is determine what parts were needed sooner to avoid late order of parts missed in early assessment

Advisor very short in talking. Dash is cracked after recall. Was not like that before it is now loose across to the drivers side. Not going to bother arguing about it because its a 15 year old truck. I was told they do checkouts on vehicles when I made the appointment. No checkout was done. Will not bring anything back here. Very disappointed. Ford technicians do checovers everytime.

We have always been so happy and fortunate to have bought two cars and leased a third through Betten Chevrolet Muskegon. We were at a time when our previous vehicle literally fell apart on the road, and Andrew Stewart hooked us up with a great deal on a beautiful Chevy Traverse which we never thought we would be able to own. Later, he cut me another deal on a lease for a Cruz and most recently on a Chevy Trax purchase. Buying through Bettens is literally like a dream come true. I serviced my brand new camaro at Betten Auto in Muskegon for its first oil change (3,000 miles on the odometer) and they wash it afterwards. It did not have a scratch on it beforehand and when I get my brand new camaro back; SCRATCHES EVERYWHERE... Do they not wash their new cars before displaying them in their showroom, VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I traded in my vehicle at the end of 2019, and purchased a new truck. The truck is fantastic, the service I got was poor. They rushed through the paperwork and used the wrong address (even though they were told that I moved), when the bank got a copy they wouldn’t accept it because they had 2 different addresses listed. They called me to come back and redo the paperwork, 45 minute drive one way for me, when I couldn’t come right in they threatened to call the police and report the truck stolen. I will never buy another vehicle from here.

Great sale but they are shady. Charlie adds thousands of dollars of things on the contract and if you dont catch it, and get it taken off, he gets away with it. He runs your credit several times so it takes a hard hit then tries to tell you that you have worse credit than you did before you came. I had taken a snapshot of mine beforehand and got alerts hed ran it 5 times, and CreditKarma alerted me of the hits. They sold me my van without having the title and didnt give me any paperwork when I left because, as my salesman said, they werent even supposed to sell it without the title but he wanted to make the sale. This was after I had already gone home and talked to him later about the paperwork. I only received a receipt for what I had paid down.The GM, Mr. Betten, doesnt return calls he says he will or follow through when we told him one of my van key fobs doesnt work. He was supposed to have a traveling guy call me and its never happened. We had to make several trips there (over 120 miles) to finish taking care of everything. My key fob still doesnt work.
I was referred there, Greg Pike was my sales guy, he was great finding and getting the right vehicle, after the deal was done and issues happened, he was your stereotypical sales guy, all lies. I tried to come in and see the dealers owner, was told that I had to make an appointment, no open door policy and his schedule changed all the time.Service dept was great though.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. The repair was fine, and the end result was great, but I was told it would take 10 days and it ended up being double, on top of scheduling me out 2 weeks. They had my truck sitting in the shop untouched for a whole week because apparently there’s only 1 employee in the entirety of their shop who can take apart and put vehicles back together. My pickup date was extended a total of 4 times, and that’s only because I called and asked for an update periodically, nobody ever called me. I ended up making a payment on a vehicle I couldn’t even drive for almost a month.

When I arrived I was greeted by a lovely young lady. She took all my info, then showed me to the waiting area and said shed let me know when it was ready. I was called by her in an hour and told me all that was done. I signed the paper work and they even washed my car!! Im happy with Bettens dealership
Not happy with the sales guy Tony I bought my second Pilot from. He was cocky and acted like my business was not a big deal because they have so many buyers for these cars he doesn’t have to work out any deals. I asked for a Honda cup since it was a second car I was buying at least and he wrote Honda on his used styrofoam cup and said here now you have something from Honda. Also was suppose to give me a discount on my warranty insurance and did not do as promised after of course signing papers and I told him I was not very happy with some of the features on the car and wanted to know if I could back out and he said no unless I do a buy back and if that’s the case you will lose a ton of money. I didn’t even put 30 miles on the car when I asked this. I told him the new features that are on the car don’t seem safe to me and I have to manually every time I turn the car on have to shut them off. It’s a real pain and poor design.

But he saw car for sale on his way home from work and called me to tell me about it. And it was exactly what we were looking for. So even though Robb didnt get the sale, he still helped me find a car. I would definitely go back to him for my next car.
The day I leased the car was the best day on site. EVERYTHING else past that day has been horrible. From sales (Colby Beckstrom) to service. Most of those I have had to deal with are too busy to be able to help a customer. This is the first and only car I will ever lease. I will go back to paying cash from here forward.

Just a bad experience when I was trying to get a loan for a new vehicle and the sales guy did not have the guts or work ethic to call back and tell you if I qualified for a loan or not. They kept making excuses and not help me get a loan. I would not recommend them and sadly had to go to BERGER in GR for IMMEDIATE service. This sale team needs better training on how to work with customers.

He choose a car for me that I really liked. I told him I wanted a larger car than my Cruze, a color different than black or white, a black interior, a sunroof and low mileage. He found me a 2017 GMC Terrain with 44,000 miles, it was maroon with a black interior, a sunroof and he even upgraded me to a better stereo system! I loved it and bought it! Ronnie was at my side through the whole purchase until it was finished. He is personable, giving me his email and phone number, friendly and cheerful, and he is so caring he took a picture of me in front of my new car and he keeps all of his customers pictures in photo albums in his office! :)UPDATE: I was treated Awesomely! 1-2 months later I called Betten and told the gal that the engine light came on. She transferred me to Calvin, the Manager of the Used Cars Department. Calvin has a motto Take care of your customers and they will take care of you. He diagnosed my car, ordered the part and the next day he had the part replaced on my Terrain for FREE! When the repair was finished, he had washed my car as well! Needless to say, I had a SMILE on my face as I left Bettens parking lot!

Horrible. GM wouldnt cover our 2015 truck that was rusting out..just out of warranty..long story but neither GM or BETTEN would make it right. Funny how our 2012 isnt rusting. Unfortunately Ill probably never buy a Chevrolet product ever again..they just dont stand behind them...or at least in this case!

Anyone have a bad experience with joe in the service department? Because I love Chevy and all of my experiences with this location, except I went in for a recall for my airbag and on the way back I noticed my AC didn’t work, I came back and right away he said he didn’t have anything to do with it and it was a “coincidence” and it would be $250 dollars if I wanted them to look at it. I ended up paying over $650 dollars to fix it and other locations say the part is located by the airbag. I used my AC on the way there and it worked perfect, FACT. I gave Joe my keys and 40 minutes later when I got them back it didn’t work FACT, and he didn’t even want to look at it or seem to want to help and I was understanding until he acted the at he did. If it is a “coincidence” I have no problem with fixing it but Chevy Professionals at other locations are saying that doesn’t seem right.
Went for an oil change, convinced me $1800.00 worth of work needed to be done. I insisted on just the oil change. They didnt reset the oil indicator light so dont know if they did what they charged me for or were just unhappy they couldnt make me do more work than I was prepared to have done and to pay for. I called about the failure to reset the warning light and have yet to hear from them a month later!
I loved the service here! Everyone was nice, professional, and very helpful. They worked quickly to fix my truck and hooked me up with a very nice rental car so I was able to make my brothers wedding. Even with everyone being on their A game throughout my experience Doug Wood still managed to stand out as a rock star from the other also very stellar employees. He was smart, funny, very kind, and very helpful throughout the whole process! Dont get me wrong I hate car trouble but they made a very miserable experience into a pleasant one! Keep up the good work

The recall was completed,.. free car wash and safety inspection done as well. But I gave a 3 star rating do to the fact that the technician failed to reinstall all the clips that hold the inner fender shield on the R/F fender and it now flaps around making noise. 😔

My car was in to be fixed!! They kept my vehicle overnight and claim that it was fixed, got my vehicle back and before I had made it home my engine light pops back on and my dashboard was still saying what needs service.. That was the purpose of them keeping my vehicle to get fixed and they got paid for some services that they didnt even do!! Highly upset 😡

2022-02-01Had a problem with our 2021 Equinox the day before we left for a trip to Florida, while we wished the repair could have been completed the day we brought it in, we understand we had no appointment and the part had to be ordered for the repair so we did lose a day of our Florida vacation as a result of the problem. But having said all that, the problem was taken care of professionally and there was no charge since it was under warranty. We appreciated getting the car back on the road as soon as they could get it done.

He understood as a busy mom of three my need for special bells and whistles to make my life easier but also paid attention to little details he knew were important for me to LOVE my SUV. 2022-05-24Be careful of the loan team wrapping you up into a “required” extended warranty and GAP insurance.I would recommend the gap insurance to anybody but it is optional no matter what they say.Be sure to look over the electronically signed documents. Don’t let them rush you.If you have any supplier or employee discounts from GM be sure they take it off the price of the car. They used mine to cover their own expenses for securing my loan. If they were more transparent on this issue maybe I would trust whatever this reason for stealing over $1000 from me was but excuse me I don’t.If you have a problem don’t even bother getting in touch with Ben the General Manager. This guys attitude matches his image. He is cocky and full of excuses.
