Do not go here. I went there to get a boot cause I fracture my ankle. The boot they were going to give me was not comfortable and hurt my ankle more than it did when I fractured it. How could this be beneficial to my recovery. Even a member of my family that is a doctor said what they were going to give me was not necessary and would not help me. A friend of mine got a boot from somewhere else and it had a pump the one they were going to give me didnt have one. The fit was too lose. How would this help me? It wouldnt.
I work full time and cannot get to this business before they close to get my test strips. Not open on Saturday, either. So in order to get my supplies I literally have to leave work half an hour early and lose that pay. Could they possibly consider having one night thats open past 6?!!!!!!Not all of us that need the items they sell are retired, disabled, or not working, to be able to get there during regular business hours!
Worst customer Service ever. I have been here 4 times and they never have the proper paperwork to fulfill my prescription, yet they set up my appointment !! You never reach the actual store when calling you go through a call center who connects you but they dont answer!
Waited for 2 hours to be seen and they still told me they didnt have my prescription because their fax machine doesnt work. While I was waiting they took in people that came in after me. Told me that they would give me a call when my prescription came in. Its been 3 weeks and still no call. Staff that worked with me was rude and gave me annoyed looks every time I went up to speak to them. Must be a really broken fax machine.
I’m at a loss at what to do at this point for custom compression stockings. I called for a reorder of custom stockings in March 2021- knowing my leg size fluctuates, I opted to get remeasured and was scheduled for early April. The first test stocking did not arrive until June. Unfortunately the fit was not right and I was remeasure the same month. Despite a rush order being submitted, it’s now mid-Aug (2 months later) and I don’t have the the new test stocking with altered measurements to try. Even it that fits, I will have to wait for the other 5 stockings approved by insurance to be made. This is my second year going through Binsons for custom stockings and the second time it has taken 6+ months to receive stocking I need to wear daily for Lymphedema. Waiting this long means wearing worn out stocking that do not support my swelling, worsening my conic medical condition. It also impacted insurance coverage and cost- last year I would have not paid as much out of pocket because my deductible was met, because of the delays it pushed it to next year and I literally spent $500 more out of pocket. Lori in Sterling Heighs has been helpful to work with but it hasn’t solved the timing issue. Unfortunately, Binsons is one of the only places left doing custom stocking so it seems like there is no way around having this type of experience which is really unfortunate and maybe why there hasn’t been an effort to improve.
Horrible. One lady named Tiffany was great but the other office girls in ortho were impressively rude. I was told my insurance required me to get fitted for a surgical boot due to liability. I spoke with my insurance upon leaving and that was a lie. Because I questioned her when the gentlemen to fit me came out she launched into a description of how I was difficult etc. I was sitting right by the window and my eyes and ears work perfectly and my 6 year old was with me who also heard it Since I was fitted the boot was taken out of the packaging. After getting home I decided Id return it and get it anywhere else rather than give this business my money. The return policy states it must be unopened and unused. So the fitting that was forced on me invalidates the return policy. As far as scams go it is well thought out. I should have checked reviews before going there as the Lakeside site reviews are honest about how bad the service is. But making sure the product was opened before I left so I cant return it constitutes deceitful practice perpetrated for profit. I havent worn it and I wont because Im going to file a complaint with the BBB. I want to prove it was never used and I was forced to open it at the store and that they do this so it cant be returned. George Binson would be horrified at what this location has done to the high standard and integrity he was known for.
This company is terrible. I’ve called several time trying to get a script for crutches filled. Each time I had to hold for 20 mins before anyone answered my call. I emailed the information that they needed and was told I was all set to pick up my crutches. When arrived at the store the man that was “helping” was not helpful at all. Apparently, someone didn’t put through whatever they needed to the insurance company so that my insurance would be billed. I drove 20 minutes out of the way only to walk away empty handed. I even called the store prior to my arrival to double check that they had everything that they needed and I was told I was good. I tried calling my insurance to try to speed things up and they literally had just closed. The man behind counter had my insurance card and I asked him for my card repeatedly so I could contact the insurance company myself. By the time he gave it to me they had closed. I am very disappointed with the service or lack there of that I have received from this company. These people truly don’t care.
I have been waiting two weeks for a cpap I was told would be mailed out to me and received in two days. I have called and called and yet to receive a call back. I am calling my doctor to place this order with a more reliable and professional medical equipment company.A family member’s doctor ordered her seat walker from her almost a year ago. She has yet to receive it. Doctors don’t send orders here. The service is awful
THE LADY THAT ASSISTED ME WITH THE COMPRESSION STOCKINGS WAS GREAT!!! SHE KNEW WHAT TO DO, SHE WAS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT HER JOB. SHE WAS PROLIFIC ABOUT THE COMPUTER, AND I AM SO GLAD SHE WAS, BECAUSE I AM NOT. 😇 THANK YOU BINSONS FOR HAVING EMPLOYED HER!!!! SHE WAS WONDERFUL TO ME AND SHE DID ASK MY OPINION OF THE STOCKINGS AND A LOT OF PEOPLE DO NOT DO THAT. SHE WAS REMARKABLE. (AND, HER NAME WAS THE SAME AS MY MIDDLE NAME----DAWN 🤗🤗)
Worst service I have received ever! Currently on hold for 26 minutes and still waiting. Took over 6 weeks to get wheel chair. When inquiring on status they said someone would call me back in one week. This happened 3 times with no one calling me back.Doctor gave me all the forms they had sent Binsons and fax confirmations. When Binson’s kept giving excuses, I had the evidence to fight back. Once I did this I got the wheel chair the next day. If you can go someplace else do so!! You have been warned. Still holding 32 minutes. This is my first negative comment for any business. After 57 minutes on hold person took my issue of broken leg rest on wheel chair, right one worked. Left leg rest did not. When they came out the next day their instructions were to teach me how to use leg rest. Grrrr I had to start all over with another request and another day off work. Problem finally corrected after 3 days and 2 days off work.
DO NOT GO HERE, the most inefficient business in history. Took almost two hours to get a walking boot. Employees have absolutely no sense of customer service, act like it is the first time they dealt with BCBS. They don’t keep you updated and you just wait and wait. Go anywhere else to get your medical supplies, you can thank me later.
Terrible,Spent over an hour with a person getting approved for a knee scooter on Friday only to call back and find out that it was all for not.They didnt even have the common courtesy to call us back to tell us that we couldnt get it. Girl who took the time to call the insurance company and fill out the form s was fantastic but the woman who I spoke with today was rude. We wont be going back there anymore.
They never call back when I asked them to contact my doctor about an issue with my cpap mask making me unable to meet compliance. They instead just sent me a bill in the mail after a month of waiting because of this virus. I will be returning my device and never returning as a customer. Their motto should be, You Do More, So We Dont Have To! with the average wait time being 30 min.. Every time... Making me unable to reach them because of my own work hours where my breaks arent long enough to wait on hold.
I would give this zero Stars if they allowed me to. I contacted them three weeks before my surgery letting them know every piece of medical equipment I would need. After frequent calls they never got back with me. I kept calling. They were very rude to me on the phone. Finally 3 days before my surgery I was panicking that I would not have the necessary equipment. I called them again. The girl was very rude once more and said we will get back with you. I then notified Sheldon Medical Supplies. I highly recommend them. Within 24 hours they emailed me back and told me they would deliver the next day. All that anxiety with Binsons. Its beyond me how this place stays in business.
Watch out!! this is why our insurance is so high! I was told my cpap machine was covered under insurance in full. 2 months later I get a bill in the mail and Im told I need to pay a deductable. Also to buy the machine its $595, the insurance pays $214.38 for 4 months, so its $262.52 more for the insurance to pay over 4 months. wow, they know how to make money.
Ive called the Sterling hts. Location several times about my cpap equipment. Ive been on hold no less than 20 minutes each time regardless of the time of day. The young woman who I was able to finally speak to didnt have much patience (understaffed and overworked perhaps). Seems that managements response to all other negative reviews is sorry about that. Email us and well call you . Great way to do business (not).Goodbye Binsons.
Ive used Binsons for 33 years. Any & all medical supplies I need I get from Binsons. The workers in each department know their business, theyre all very kind, supportive and takes care of all your needs, answers every question. When you leave Binsons you have finally had the best experience with a Medical Supply Company that youll ever have, I promise you that!!I give Binsons 10 ⭐s
Very deceptive company! My husband had hip surgery in October of 2017. Hospital told us our insurance would cover the cost of the walker and toilet seat. I took it home and didnt hear from Bensons for months. They contacted me many months later asking how I was going to pay the bill. When I told them it was covered by my insurance e, they said the insurance declined payment. Come to find out they had been sending my bill to the doctors office instead of the insurance. I was never contacted in that period of time by phone, email, or snail mail. They said they couldnt bill the insurance after six months and I would have to pay the $131 out of my own pocket. They refuse to work with us even though this was totally their fault. Very deceptive!!!! Much better customer service, pricing, and billing at Befitting You Medical Supplies.
Never again at this location. Short staffed. Went in for my support hose for my legs, directed to ladies boutique. Finally told they no longer stock brand I have been buying for years. Need to special order at higher price.Employee Diane finally came to my rescue and got information for me, tried to get from other store ( they were on hold for others ) and made my day with her positive attitude, even though she had her own rough day.Was so frazzled I forgot to use my 15% off coupon on socks I did purchase.Plus road construction in front of store made my journey 40 minutes longer and basicially, store was quite understaffed for the amount of customers waiting and coming in.
I had attempted to deal with Binsons 3 years ago when I first got my CPAP prescription. I got no response after a week of having dropped off my paperwork, so I went to another supplier. Now that I am back with another prescription for a CPAP mask, I have waited 2 weeks with no response at all. Not a call, nor email. Tried calling today, left on hold for 9 minutes first call, and now 14 minutes for my second call. These are exactly the reasons that I did not deal with Binsons in the past. How can you treat customers with such disregard?? The person I dropped my CPAP paperwork off with told me it would take a few days, since it was Labor Day weekend coming up, yet no response at all. I think that this effort will be my last.
I have had to come to the sterling heights store several times this past year and the customer service I have received each time has been excellent. Diane K was the lady who helped us and she was courteous and was very efficient and quick to help us get what we needed. Even the other people who were helping others were kind and courteous to their customers. I have been to other medical supply stores in the past and Binsons in Sterling Heights far surpassed them in their customer service and wait times
Filled out the form online to receive my breast pump and attached my scrip from my doctor and never received it. Contacted the department at Binsons responsible for this type of thing and emailed them the scrip per their request and still never received my breast pump.
Ive had Binsons for a few years and Im totally dissatisfied with their service. Its impossible to speak to a real person. My last dealings was with the voice mail asking me all the questions and taking my time for approximately 5 to 10 minutes and then telling me I wasnt eligible at this time to get any of my CPAP supplies. Then the next day, they started their calls all over again. Their constant phone calls are annoying. I have an appointment with my doctor next month and I cant wait to get a service that I can speak to.
Hi my name is Erika. I was in need of a walker and I frequent the binsins store in Sterling Heights. They always take good care of me. Diane K is amazing. She took it upon herself out of the kindness of her own heart to contact my doctors office and make sure I got the prescription I needed from my doctor so my insurance would cover it, after I tried several times and failed. She succeeded the first time. Her personality is amazing. She makes me feel right at home. I enjoy going to see her. She is always in a good mood and so helpful. Thank you Binsins and thank you Diane K your the best!
Well I cant speak for anyone else. I will tell you this I went to get my uncle a wheel chair. I was taken care of by a young lady Diane K. She was the best ever. Helpful, understanding. Great customer service. Prompt, I could not believe how fast everything went. I doubt it would have gone that well without her assistants and knowing just what I needed to get the job done. Thank you Diane K. I went to the one in Sterling Heights.
Binsons had my prescription for a CPAP machine for 3 weeks and never acted on it until I called today to find out where it was. Then they called my insurance and to get the pre-authorization. I told them forget it that Im going to Hart Medical now. If they cant be consumer oriented when they are getting new business, they never will be. Disgusting customer service for a business in the medical field where they can negatively impact lives. Just not worth the risk they pose to me.
I order durable medical supplies every month and everyone Ive talked to who have helped me has been very pleasant. I get exactly what I ordered. The items I need are specialty supplies, not many people would understand which products go together and how they are used. Binson employees do and have obviously been well trained.
Very poor service, went to store after Orthopaedics appt to learn about shoe inserts. Was told I need an appt and not sure how my insurance would work. Workers did not offer to help me, I just grabbed my script and said I’ll suffer, they shrugged their shoulders. I work for a large hospital and well known cardiologist, I assure you if I treated patients like that I would lose my job and I will not recommend Binsons to our patients ever again! There are plenty of other places that deserve our business!!! Very disappointed!!!
I went to the Troy location for custom orthotics and they said that my insurance doesnt cover it. So, I went to Wright and Filippis and there was no problem with my insurance. Then, I went to Binsons in Troy for a knee scooter (Wright and Filipps does not carry them). They again said my insurance wouldnt cover it and told me it would cost around $500. But, my insurance was able to help me get one someplace else. Lastly, I went to the Sterling Heights location today for a bath chair. I thought it would be better than the Troy location. But, they told me they dont bill insurance for a bath chair. The frustrating thing is for all of these items, my insurance verified that it is covered. So, if you have a prescription and want to use your insurance, I recommend not going here. I also recommend not going here even if you dont plan on using your insurance because of the ridiculous prices. I thought it was great that they have such a variety of medical supplies. But, it has turned into a far from great experience. I am having foot surgery in a few weeks and I wish I would not even have considered going to Binsons. Preparing for surgery is stressful enough and this just adds to the stress.
Prescription faxed at 1 today for a nebulizer.i have called several times and was told it is on processing. Since when does it take hours to verify insurance and call customer for something you have in stock. I habe medicine that I have.to take and currently cannot. You close in half an hour and still no call. Very disappointed in your service
Staff dont know anything very rude and dont know how to take care of customers was called to come pick up new machine waited 3 hrs and they said I could not get one till Sept even after I had it 6 yrs and dr ordered a new one never follow up with customers and the patient has to call them they never return or help customers will not recommend anyone too go there I even said that I would go somewhere else and the person that was taking care of me said go go now very rude employee. Needs help
Terrible service!!!.... when you try to call the store phone number that’s listed on the website, nobody answers and you are rerouted to a outside “call center” where someone tries to field your phone calls and answer your questions! Long wait times on the phone! Was told workers in the store are trying to help people that are “actually in the store” so it makes you feel like if you’re calling from the outside you can’t get questions answered and are not a valued customer! That’s exactly what happens...even though I had purchased an expensive item for my elderly mother in the past,.... can’t talk to a store manager or anything... terrible, terrible, service!!!!
Have to call every month to re-order cpap supplies. Why cant I get on auto order? Every time you call, you spend at least 15 minutes on hold. Every time. Then when you place your order, it may ship or they may forget. And then you get to call back for another 15 minutes on hold to find out where it is. If it does ship you may or may not get the correct stuff which again turns into another phone call. THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY. There HAS to be. Why cant you re-order on line? That may free up time for the busy people answering the phones. Soooooo frustrated with the antiquated process.
Great place to get medical supplies for you or loved ones. They help out to get the right thing you are looking for or need and they handle the insurance company. I have a disabled father and the have all i need to take care of him like a nice hugo walker and next shower seat and hand held shower head. Go in checkout the customer service.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. No one answers the phone. I’ve left countless messages without receiving a call back. Trying to get medical equipment for my 6 month old has been a nightmare. Bring your business elsewhere and save yourself the headache. I wish I would have.
If they had a none star rate I would. I would rather go to wright and filippis. I went to binsons the one in Sterling hghts rude staff also said my diagnosis would not go with what my order was for. I got to wright and filippis and they get me in and out with no prob and said it was the right diagnosis. How can that be I wont be dealing with binsons ever agian always a problem
My experience was horrible my son has asthma I went With a prescription to get my son a nebulizer machine the lady said Wow we can’t give him a machine insurance won’t pay for it for just the cough I said mam my son has asthma I tried to call the doctors office but it was after hours so I ask her do you have any facemask for the machine she reply loudly insurance won’t pay for it you’ll have to pay for it .i replied I will how much is it.her name was Jamie very rude and unprofessional at the lakeside location.
I am 68 years with substantially left short leg & short foot for all my life! Daniel in Orthoditic Shoe Dept. is the best like no other I know of anywhere in making complicated modified Orthoditic shoes! He gets it right!Also had good experiences in Resporitary & Hearing Aid Dept in bldg. In Sterling Hts. I think prob. some not understanding Binsons complicated phone sys at Centerline.
When you bring your stuff in there and check it out see what you leave and if so description for the person does the best what the person is fits in on you make sure everythings right not the person to look at the script and check it out see what she wants cuz she might have attitude and go out of your way disagrees with the doctor wrote Lisa my case
Worse place ever I live around there but I go different because the are rude and they take forever and the manger is the worse doesn’t care about his business and he doesn’t watch the girls work there they laugh at people and not respect just save time and don’t go there !!!
WOULD GIVE A ZERO IF POSSIBLE. CALLED THE STORE TO FIND OUT IF THEY RENT POWER LIFT CHAIRS. MY CALL WAS TRANSFERRED AND I WAITED ON HOLD FOR TEN MINUTES. HUNG UP, CALLED BACK, ASKED THE PERSON IF THEY COULD JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION AND THEY WOULD NOT BUDGE. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. VERY DISSAPOINTED

2022-01-31GET A TICKET WHEN YOU ARRIVE to determine your order of service by Binsons staff. The last two digits of the ticket number are significant - the Now Serving sign showed 847 while my ticket number was 951. They were calling the last two digits to assist the next customer.I was picking up a new Prodigy blood glucose meter and supplies. The staff explained what I was receiving, showed me the meter is turned on by inserting a test strip and to apply the drop of blood to the END of the test strip. They asked if I had any questions and even set the date and time on the meter for me.

2022-05-17I wish I could give a better review, but I have been on hold for a total of 70 minutes over the last two days, during business and non lunch hours, to simply check to see if they have received and prepared the prescription my Mothers Dr. sent over for a walker. I still have NOT spoken to anyone as I have had to hang up due to time. I drove over 60 miles yesterday while waiting for someone to pick up the phone and nobody ever did.

2022-03-30For all the people complaining about long hold times this is the case anywhere that has phones... I use this location close to my home for my cpap supplies. Today I walked in and only looked around for a minute or two before someone asked if they could help me with anything and I told her I was browsing at cpap supplies and needed to pickup a new cushion. She walked me over to sign in to the respiratory department. I signed in sat down. Diane K noticed I was waiting for a few mins while someone from the team was already helping another customer and asked what I needed help with. I told her I was having a frustrating time with my current sleep Dr and needed to buy a new cushion out of pocket. She took me over to her computer and checked out my account. Diane explained everything I needed to do with my paperwork, found my current copay due to keep my account up to date and found a cushion in stock. She gave me some good recommendations including a sanitizing machine. All around good experience at this location. I will be returning to this location when I need to order new supplies or have any questions instead of calling on the phone.

2022-06-30Marci Taylor! was amazing. I visited Binsons to see about a knee scooter or a wheel chair. Marci helped me with the scooter. the handle was a little wobbly and she made sure to go the extra mile to make sure it was sturdy and safe for me to tryout in the store. before she helped me i noticed her helping an other patron and she just kept an amazing smile on her face. I am in a lot of pain but she made the experience wonderful! Binsons is not even in my PPO network but i plan to go back to purchase other things with my HSA. Primarily because of the customer service she provided.

2022-03-18Tried calling 3 times to get a simple answer to a question on a product. Each time I waited on hold for over 15 minutes. When I finally got someone to answer they said they had to transfer me. Waited another 20 minutes and no one ever picked up. The person that transferred me wasnt very nice either. I will NEVER shop there again.

2022-03-15This is my first time here. I came here with my girls grandmother. We showed up at 0945 to be able to get in early. There was an apt ahead of us as we learned when we signed in. 45 minutes later we were finally called to be seen. As far as staff encounters all were pleasant so I’m not sure why some of the reviewers wrote that staff was rude. Maybe they should check themselves. While we were seen the lady checked in the back for another cpap machine and it took another 10 minutes. Basically my experience here wasn’t the best due to the time everything takes. If their system let staff look at inventory than that could have saved another 10 minutes of sitting staring at a wall.

2022-05-06Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs! My son (9) and daughter (12) were both written prescriptions for orthotic insoles from the foot doctor. The insoles completed and fitted by Binsons completely broke down, stunk, and lost their shape in about four months of use. When I returned to see if Binsons would warranty or replace the junk insoles - they wanted me to go back to my foot Dr and pay another co-pay for a new prescription to remake the insoles rather than stand behind the products they sell. When I asked them about all their negative reviews online the management looked at me and said its out of our control call Centerline and complain! Not the way to run a company - avoid this place entirely and read all the horrible reviews!

2021-12-29Very unprofessional! On oxygen placed an order to refill tanks 2 weeks in advance of doctor appointment. Called several times was told order was in 3 days before appointment called to see status was advised shipment wasn’t end to call back later . Called back later was told to pick tank up tomorrow. Husband came to Sterling Heights location was turned away stating no tanks. Spoke with Sarah in Respiratory (Manger) and she spoke to me like I was being reprimanded for her employees mistakes and the should lack of accountability. Going to Centerline to see if they can service me.
