After swearing off nail salons for years, I happened upon Birmingham Nails with an old girlfriend for a girls day out.The staff is courteous, there is no overpowering chemical smell, the salon is neat and clean and my nail technician, Ta Ta, did an AMAZING job! My shellac manicure lasted for weeks!I will definitely be back and will recommend Birmingham Nails to anyone looking for a great nail salon.
They are a little more money and no message chairs but the feel is nicer and calmer. You are still many chairs sitting next to each other for a pedicure. Free parking until 11 but then it costs money.
I got a gift certificate for a pedicure from someone knowing I work a couple doors down and I was excited to try a new place. I got a pedicure and shellac manicure. The girl who did my nails was cutting so many corners and now 3 days later all of my nails are peeling. I went in during my lunch break in hopes of getting a refund or setting up an appointment to redo them with someone else. They told me they couldnt help me if I did not want the same manicurist who did them before (why would I want the same lady who sucked the first time)? They would not give any kind of refund either.I am extremely disappointed in this nail salon and their lack of customer service. Looks like I am going back to my normal manicurist who pays attention!
I was very excited to get my nails done here today but it was a huge disappointment. I wanted to get a gradient nail color done in light pink and white, very subtly done, I showed the tech the exact picture of what I wanted and she seemed like she understood what I wanted (but communicated very little with me). In the end, the nail color was not done properly, it was choppy not smooth and looked very unprofessional. Looked like a childs work, honestly. Im deeply disappointed because I chose this place based on its location in Birmingham thinking they would have the best of everything, but this was not the case. It sucks that they charged me $10 extra (for a total of $50 for the mani/pedi) for the gradient nail color. When I asked her why the colors werent smoothly blended into each other, she said thats the look she wanted and when I asked her to fix it, she said she didnt have the proper tools to do what I wanted done and walked away. Did not leave a good impression on me and I will probably never come back here again!!!!!
Rude asff one lady that was doing my nails had the audacity to say “ooh uu must not have toe nails bc uu have acrylic on your toes”but I have acrylics on my toes bc it’s on style and they look better…
Great nail studio. Very clean and professional environment. Good color selection and good for walk ins! Definitely recommend! Very satisfied.
Don’t know why everyone hates the place... they are amazing! No issues whatsoever, very friendly staff whom seemed very informed and professional. My toes look amazing!
I went there about 3 weeks ago the staff wasnt very friendly my service was a mani pedi as she finished up my mani one of the nail tech ask me was I thru seeing that my nails was wet because they need the chair for another client I told her I need some help with my purse & shoes to move to the drying station
The best place to get your pedi and nails. All staff great and the expanded area very welcome
Don’t pay attention to detail, overpriced, and very inattentive. Would give 0 stars if it was possible.

2021-02-17First impressions walking in the door was that this salon is well cared for and clean! No overwhelming nail shop smell, beautiful decor, and a friendly greeting all met me at the door. I got a dip powder manicure, my usual. Being new to the area Ive been trying to find a shop that could do dip and shaping well...folks, I found it! Anna (sp?) was AWESOME! She nailed the shape, the dip application is near flawless, and she was so gentle with my natural nails! I paid $80 total, $70 for the service and $10 for the tip. I will be back and plan on trying a pedicure next time!!

2021-06-29Mature laid back place for grown ups to relax get pampered you dont have to wear mask but it would be nice and the workers wear their mask stay safe everyone vaccine or not

2022-04-15I just left this establishment after being told a little bit longer a little bit longer as a walk-in. I ended up waiting an hour and a half and then the front desk staff came and told me that they can’t even take me anymore. They didn’t offer me any type of hospitality to me waiting that long. Never will go back.

2021-03-14If you are looking for a new nail salon to call your own.. this is not the place! Existing customers are treated better, acknowledged, and greeted with a smile, new clients... you are lucky to receive a Hello! My former nail salon closed down in 2020.. I have been on the hunt since for a clean, nice place to go get regular manicures and pedicures. First time I called to make an appointment I was placed on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up. I could hear two people chatting about nothing in the background and assumed they just forgot about me. I called back a few days later, as I already crossed two other local places off my list, to give it another chance. It was great, nice, and clean. Called back a few weeks later to make another appointment. I sat for 30 minutes after my appointment time with no greeting, no colors offered, and not even an apology for the wait. Finally after two other existing clients walked in, greeted by name and a smile, and went right to chairs for service, I got up and left. Apparently I was suppose to check “appointment” box next to the walk in box, which, I selected neither. Maybe if I was acknowledged or asked upon arrival, it would of been cleared up quickly. Instead I was treated as if I did not exist.

2021-08-13I have been a loyal customer going to Birmingham Nails every 2 weeks for 4 years. Tony the owner and the nail technicians typically have always been professional, warm, and do a wonderful job. Unfortunately they have been hit hard by COVID and lack employees showing up to work like the rest of the world. Even if you make an appointment by calling several weeks in advance they do not honor it and do not call to cancel the appointment. When approaching them about the appointment issue which has been experience several times I was yelled at by both Tony and the nail technicians that general appointments are not given priority that you need to make an appointment directly with the tech. They did this in front of everyone in the store which was extremely unprofessional and embarrassing. I would never go back and am very disappointment in the unprofessional behavior. If you try the salon out make sure you get the nail techs name and number and text/call them directly. DO NOT CALL THE STORE AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT or beware of having to wait and hour and/or being yelled at. Good luck...

2021-05-311st time, my nails didnt hold up very well and had to come in for repair after they just painted over the old acrylic instead of removing it. 2nd time, called, made an appointment and showed up on time for it. Sat for 20 minutes while they took other clients. When I inquired when they would get to me, they said I had to wait another 40 minutes because they had forgotten to write the appointment down. Ended up leaving.

2017-06-15NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN!!!Me and my friend went for our first pedi and mani here. Amanda did mine and Amy did my girlfriends. The quality of products and polish they use is very cheap and as our toe nails and finger nails polish started chipping the very first day we got it done!!! (Usually my pedicure stays for over a month!) and my nails are breaking- which never happened before!Moreover, they have the worst customer service skills evident by lack of coordination and proper communication between the staff. One person will seat you and the other person will ask what are you here for and the third person would ask if youre ready even if they really arent ready for you! Irrespective of appointment, be prepared to wait as they are very unorganized!Their staff is very unprofessional and rude. They show absolutely no responsibility of their poor behavior to their customers!!They have poor hygiene at for pedicure as a lot of their disposable products get reused!Worst place Ive ever been to to get my nails and pedicure done! Never going back here again!

2021-01-15I love this place! Recently went and had another good experience getting a mani/pedi. I only use OPI, but they have a large selection of polish colors. I appreciate the efforts they put towards keeping equipment sanitary.

2019-06-02I waited an hour and 15 minutes only to be told it would be at least another 15 minutes before they could see me for a simple pedicure. I do not recommend this business for that reason alone. To make matters worse, every time I inquired I was told that I was “next”. If you are a busy person, this is not the place for you.
