My oldest child is a 3rd grader, so this is our 4th year of busing. The first two years, we had two different bus drivers, and they were both fabulous. Ms. Coco and Ms. Felicia were kind and conscientious. They took care of the kids, looked out for them, and were just generally a pleasure. Both of them made sure that an adult was present at the home before leaving. One time, I forgot it was a half day, and when Ms. Coco realized I wasnt home, she took my son back to school, making sure he was safe until I could get to him.Our driver for the past two years is absolutely awful. Mr. Lee lurches around the neighborhood, over the speed limit, barely stops long enough for my children (including a first grader) to disembark before storming off -- and he has flown by our stop on the way to school on multiple occasions, even when we are standing right there waiting for him (we are the only family at our stop). I know there are lovely drivers working for this company who are safe and care about the kids, but our current experience is so stressful and negative. I also know that times are tough, and right now the bus company is scrambling, but I desperately wish that they were able to hire only the excellent drivers and didnt have to scrape the bottom of the barrel with drivers like Mr. Lee.

I saw the 1.5 star for Durham and had to write something positive.The personnel at the Durham office have always been very helpful. My children have arrived home safely as expected without undue wait times. A little bit of trouble on the first day of the year, but my son was always safe and watched after. Thank you bus drivers for taking care of our kids!

Beginning of the school year and calling to get information is a waste of time. The staff is rude and unprofessional and could care less. I have sent several emails complaining and have not gotten one single response. Looking at other reviews, this is the norm. These are people driving our children and management could care less. Shame on it all.

The bus service had to change my daughters stop due to construction on Woodward. They failed to notify the substitute drivers. The sub blew past my husband and dropped my five year old off on Woodward Avenue ALONE with no parent present. A 50 mile an hour road, with no sidewalk, alone. Shes five. UNACCEPTABLE. And they wont take my call, return my call, nothing. Awful and unacceptable.

Horrible service is Birmingham. My kids have had the bus not show up over 20 times this year. Don’t my taxes pay for this joke of a service? Have heard everything from bus didn’t start, driver sick and driver slept in? My neighbor recently had a driver almost run over her 5 year old Daugher not paying attention.

If I could give no stars I WOULD!! This service is a joke! Lost my kid for an hour and couldnt confirm what bus had him. Couldnt tell us his bus number changed just told him LAST minute to go to another bus as it was pulling out! This joke of a service cant even get the route right!! Disgusting excuse of a company. YOU GOT ONE JOB DO IT RIGHT! All they can say is they can send me an apology letter! SEND IT TO THE NEWS AND POLICE DEPARTMENT! COULDNT answer a simple question, WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE OR PROTOCOL OF A LOST CHILD!
