I feel like its so worth it to pay a little more to fly through bishop. Smaller, tidy, effiencent. It makes flying- espeically when flying with first time flyers- so much easier and takes about 90x of the travel jitters away.
I’m only giving Bishop Airport one star because of Allegiant Air. They are the worst airline I have ever used. Bishop should not allow them to use their otherwise beautiful well run airport. Do not fly Allegiant. I have been trying to call for over a month for a refund of over $500 due to them cancelling our flights. Not even an 800 number when you finally get through after the 80th try and wait 3 hours on hold to get disconnected. I have read hundreds of horror story reviews regarding Allegiant. Bishop, you should not allow them to use your airport.
It is the best airport layout wise. They dont have all of the big airlines, but we will always check for flights out of Bishop first.
One of the worst experiences Ive ever had in traveling. Cancelled flight 2 hours before departure and basically didnt offer any alternative at their airport. They did provide a voucher, but not nearly enough to compensate the trouble that we had. Very disappointing experience.
Its small and not super fancy, but getting around is really easy and all the staff I interacted with was really friendly and super helpful! Cant wait to use this airport again soon.
I had a walking boot on due to an injury and Toni at the Allegiant counter took it on herself to get me a wheelchair and take me down to my gate. She was awesome and very friendly. Thank you so much Toni 😊
Had an interview for a position that wasnt even open or to find out available I guess and was told to just let the people know at the gate I was in for an interview and they shouldnt make me pay for the parking for the 2 minutes I was inside getting told that they had no open spots available and to go back home and wait to be contacted. Which the gate lady said no they should have stamped your card because I cant allow you to just go thru without it stamped which this happened to me before as well and I tried to explain to the lady that I was supposed to be working for but she still reinsured me that they would just let me go past once I mentioned to them I was there for an interview 😑🙄🤦🏼♀️
Easy in and out, great people. My mom travels from Florida regularly in a wheelchair and they treat her so well.
Great experience- TSA was friendly and helpful, easy drop off, long term parking, economy parking, snacks, gift shop filled with Michigan items - college and souvenirs.Clean restrooms, well cared for gate areas.Good signage.We look forward to our next trip out of Bishop International.Flint should be proud!
Easy to pick up arrivals. Wait in cell phone lot. The person arriving calls/texts you, comes outside and off you go!
Avoid the lines and hassle at the Metro Airport. Easy drop off, fast thru security. Highly recommend.
Nice airport. Limited food choices but found healthy veggie wraps at the grill. Many passengers, some employees without masks in boarding area. Flight delayed, airport did not update status boards but employees helpful. Clean place.

Went for a presentation of Charles Nash and Walter Chrysler statues in the luggage area of the airport. Beautiful airport, very modern structure.
This could be an outstanding airport, but they are stuck in the past. But overall this is a great airport. Time to start upgrading though.
Great, easy airport to get around in. Quick check in and friendly staff. Highly recommend. Parking is $10.00 a day.

My flight was cancel to and from Punta Gorda this week! This airlines is down right scary! I will never use this airport or airlines again! How are you executives going to handle this one. I am very disappointed!
My family and I have flown out of this airport for decades now. Its the only one we trust close to home. Small, quaint, but efficient and classy. Whenever Im visiting back home, I only fly into, and out of, Bishop International Airport

Driving into the airport was easy. The parking was great and didnt cost that much at all. The waiting area for arrivals is very nice and relaxing. The bathrooms were super clean. It took a little while at baggage claim. Every thing was easy to find. The parking was cheap. I was parked for over an hour and a half it only cost $1.35 park.

For an international airport theres no where near wait times such as encountered with Detroit or MBS, makes it far less frustrating with the small number of people

Im so happy Flint has an international airport. Its a great airport to use if your north of Detroit and dont want to wait in long lines. Only a couple options for food and drinks.
Highly recommended, smaller soo much easier than bigger Airports . Less crowded no head aches. Noo confusing directions or terminals. Very satisfied. Give it 5 stars 🌟
Close to home, great parking, clean airport....But the wait for baggage is ridiculous waited close to 40 minutes to get bags off a plane...just crazy.

I have lived by this airport for most of my life. I now reside in FL I use this airport exclusively for my trips to and from. Like others have stated it is a smaller airport. Access is very easy there are exit signs on the express way that tell you exactly where to go. Parking is a breeze and is inexpensive. I VERY RARELY encounter long lines here. If taking an early morning flight account for some of a line but it usually moves at an ok rate of speed. Ive encountered no issues here ever with anything. There is a restaurant that servers breakfast ect once you get through security, there is also a bar type place as well. Others commented on how you can see incoming passengers coming in off of flights. I cant tell you how many times I have ran down that thing. Dont ever change that Bishop please. 🥰
Quiet, simple, fast. Friendly. But they do not have charging stations for phone devices, my phone past away.....
Good clean Airport. Waiting for your family to land is very nice to see them getting off the plane and walking towards you as you Welcome them is Great. Very easy to find parking and easy access to the airport and check in.
Great smaller airport. Not crowded usually. Quick through security. One food service place, one bar and one news shop. 8 gates.
Convenient small airport close to home. Prefer Bishop to any other airport around (Detroit, MBS)

Worst experience in 55 years !! After 4 delays and 4 hours they canceled our flight then because of no employee we had to wait 2 more hours to get our bags back ! All so we could go back home
No one there for wheelchair service! Not enough time to get from plane to baggage claim before it was shut down 🤔

Close and small airport. Parking is just across the street if not right in front. Easy to get in and get out of the airport. Some very good flying bargains.
I have flown out of Bishop International Airport several times. It is well organized and very nice.Picked up my friend last night and the waiting area is very well lit and easy. Great convenience as opposed to Detroit Metro, which is always busy and somewhat overwhelming.
Right off I 75. Took me ten minutes to get from the car to the gate. Super easy airport to get threw.
The police officer that was working on shift Sunday morning June 13 at 5am was amazing. He helped my sister and son with all of their bags to take on a mission trip to Africa. May God bless you for being so kind. Also a special thanks for helping me get out of the parking lot because the credit machine was not working. Bishop Airport will always be our choice. Everyone that helped them with their 11 bags to help the children of Africa. Thank you.

Ive been waiting for almost 3 hours for bags since the flight has landed.
I left my phone in family car after they dropped me off. My boarding pass was on phone. Michigan folks are very kind and they helped me reach family to bring back phone. American Airlines gave me paper boarding pass just in case. I got my phone and made it to gate for home in plenty of time. I love Flint Airport. Calm. Small. Organized. Functioned as a team.Way to go!! Thank you.
It shouldnt take 45 mins to load the conveyor belt with the luggage..move faster people!!

Not at all a bad airport, it is a lot smaller than the Detroit Metropolitan airport. The parking lot is easy enough to navigate through. The terminals are easy as well. Needs a bigger staff arrangement, but that could be a finance thing. Not a very big place so it doesnt have a lot but it has restrooms and some food court options. Real easy to find from the freeway as well.

Absolutely my favorite airport. This is the perfect place to start a vacation. Starting with just getting there. A very easy on and off of 1-75 flint Michigan. Once you get off the proper exit. You can choose to either park on site at the airport or across the street from the airport. I often choose this option when I am leaving town for more than a week. When you park across the street you get a discounted rate. This airport is very great when traveling with children its very small and convenient for the family your loved ones canis Court you to almost where the gate is they can support you off the escalator and you can say your goodbyes this place also offers a Emily James dad the guest Dan has many options for the flight you can choose to buy a pillow magazines perhaps the soda water or some snacks before getting onto the plane in addition during peak times there has been options of hot food but normally this option just include pastries Dawn exedra while awaiting you can feel safe in the airport during these pandemic times social distancing is a must at this airport which makes you feel safe its a small airport very very clean I cant emphasize this enough

So impressed with the customer service as well as the TSA agents and the way they work together here. They were a tremendous help making sure I caught my plane and I was able to successfully board when it seemed all hope was lost. They got me on though , great work TSA as well as allegiant reps you guys are awwwwwesome
A less busy yet effective airport for connecting to big hobs. You have to do some walking at the hob when you change flights from Bishop and to Bishop.

It seems to me that some of the employees at alligiant airlines have a real need and desire to screw up your trip and zero concern for you as a person and the fact that you might have extenuating circumstances. Not real happy with this fly by night outfit.On the other hand the security people and the TSA people are quite pleasent

My second time leaving a car at the longterm economy airport parking. First time picking it up alone in the middle of the night - but I wasnt alone! Number made it easy to contact. Everyone was courteous and punctual! Excellent experience! A definite relief for me.

Absolutely horrible experience. Flight was delayed because they were not prepared for the flight crew that got timed out. This is a common sense issue that they felt as if it took rocket scientist to figure out ahead of time.

Bishop is a great airport. I have been flying to and from for years. With it being smaller its so much easier to go through security check points in minimal time. Sure it might cost a little more then Detroit Metro but you dont have an hour drive with all the traffic. Bishop os far less stressful.
Very easy to fly out of. If I can get the flight out of Flint Bishop and not have to go to Detroit Id do it every time. Nice inside very clean not very crowded. Easily pull up to drop off or pick up. Parking prices are reasonable
Flew in from AZ & waited over an hour for you checked in bags. Very disappointed!

East drive to get there, close parking, fast processing at the service counter and through security, close gates, not a mile walk to get from one terminal to another, what more needs to be said. Convenience IS a saleable item.
I fly out of Bishop every chance I get. Its a well-organized, hassle free experience with easy and inexpensive parking across the road.

I have never been to this airport before and security was very nice and very helpful with me while I was accompanying 2 minors to the gate. Very clean facility. Flight was for a Monday at 8am after a holiday weekend, there was no traffic at all, maybe 1 other car going in and out when there. No line for security check. Only waited in seating area by gate for 30 minutes before they were calling to board the plane. I may have been lucky with the holiday, maybe less people, but everyone was nice. But I also make sure to be nice, and dont question the rules.
Bishop Airport in Michigan is a bustling place with all the amenities a traveĺer might want. It is always clean & the staff there is very helpful & friendly.
Our flight to Florida they couldn’t start the plane so we sat for 4 hours now we are on our return flight and they won’t make room for us to exit the airplane. We have been sitting here for over one hour waiting. Never fly from bishop
Allegiant service desk was very helpful. First time traveling with my sidearm and and I didnt have the proper locks on my case. They directed me to the gift shop to buy TSA locks so I didnt have to leave my weapon behind.
Bishop airport is one of the easiest airports to fly in and out of. Not crowded and well marked makes it a breeze to get in and out quickly! Avoid the crazy DTW scene and try FNT!!!
Terrible had to wait 1 hour for wheel chair assistance. Wasnt any better on my connecting flight they me miss my flight by not coming to get me. Very traumatic and horrible experience. Not sure I will ever use this airport or airlines again.
Its ok. Its a smaller airport so Im expecting less time to get in and on board. Dont park here, its across the street and shuttle interval is too long.TSA was efficient and the early morning hour I went was a lot of business travelers so busy yet efficient.Boarding was typical of other airports. Its about what I expect for a small airport.
Never had any problems here. Easy to navigate and check in. There are car rentals, places to eat, and souvenirs as well. Its a pretty small air port as well so, you will easily find anything you need here. I like you can check in on the computer when you get there.....
I used to brag about fast pickups and reasonable parking, trying to persuade friends to try Flint Bishop. After a 35 min wait in the cold on Sunday Feb 9, one bus arrived only to pick up half of waiting passengers. The topper was the nearly double parking fee. I cant be more disappointed with the change. Metro for me!
They have reduced the shuttle to one vehicle. We waited 40 minutes for the shuttle last night. That was with us being 1st in line. The people who couldnt get on had to wait an additional 20 minutes for him to come back. We were told that they had let go 33%of the employees. Holiday inn has park and ride service. They were there to pick up someone way before shuttle bus came for us.
FEB 15TH 6 OF US HAD TO PARK IN THE ECONOMY LOT TO TAKE THE SHUTTLE. IT WAS THE COLDEST DAY IN Feb. We waited for the shuttle and it never came to are area. We started walking up towards the shuttle but the shuttle drove off. We had to cross Bristol up to the airport. One of the shuttle riders saw us in the airport and said they seen us walking and wondered why the shuttle did not stop because there were only 3 people on the shuttle. I did find out that this was the 2nd time that day this happened. Mind you it was around noon when this happened. I called the supervisor who told me he would look into it and call me back. He never did. This is horrible customer service and I would not recommend using them. I can see that if the supervisor does not care about his customers.. why would the shuttle drivers.
Always enjoy this airport departing and arrival is always a positive experience. Very easy check in process and efficient. Service workers and TSA usually very friendly and helpful.

This is a very modern airport with all the conveniences of a larger airport. You can go from parking to the gate in 20 minutes. The restaurant is well priced and offers burgers and wraps. The bar is well stocked and again, priced below larger airports prices. Check in at Delta Airlines is quick and the staff are friendly and helpful. Love this airport!

I like it because it is small and you normally get though very quickly. Alligent air was a little short staffed today but I know thats to expected with covid.

As an Ohio state fan in the heart of Michigan country, I would not expect the kindness I got from TSA agents at bishop international airport. However, I left an Ohio state bracelet at security(must have slipped off when I took my coat off). One of the TSA agents noted my Ohio state attire, she kindly sought me out at my gate and brought my bracelet to me. I am originally from Ohio but I work in New Jersey. I would have never expected that type of kindness at an airport. I would like to thank and recognize this small airport for this act, I wish I had gotten the agent’s name. Thank you! The experience at this airport was phenomenal, small but safe and kind.

Excellent airport to fly out of right now. Not too many people and most all flight seem to be on time. Love it compared to the craziness of DTW for a holiday vacation flight.

If you are similar distance and can fly out here vrs metro... Its the way to go. Options are limited in the found court,but so is the over crowded annoyance of a large airport.
This airport was thorough when going through Security. The people were polite and the airport not hectic in any sense of the word. Very nice airport and can save you time and traffic flying in here instead of Detroit.
Really nice airport. I hadnt flown in 24 years (I am 31, so I was 7!) and my flights sadly got delayed and I missed my connection to San Antonio. But all the staff helped me and others big time. They did everything they possibly could to find me the fastest way back and were very kind and friendly. TSA was also really nice too, had no problems with them at all except they had to take my old toothpaste. lol
Concessions are way overpriced.2 waters were $5.79.
Place was empty, exactly what I wanted during covid. I will say there was a cop on a Segway which is ridiculous. You cant drink the water in Flint but they have money to pay some fat pos to ride around on a Segway in one of the smallest airports Ive ever been to. Unbelievable.

Law enforcement here were extremely helpful, I got in late, no Uber cars available, they called someone who not only brought me to my hotel, but is picking me up to bring me back for my flight out. Superstars 🤩🤩

Gate 11, February 10th. 5:20 am fate worker has yet to smile. Even though more than 5 people have came up to speak to her. Then the flight attendant, the last person who should be getting the good “costumer service” gets the biggest laugh and giggle. So extremely disappointing that this is a perfect representation of all of the workers at their air port. They don’t not care if you paid everything you had to be on this flight, they just do not care at all
Horrendous first time experience at this airport and 1000x’s worse with United Airlines. Flight gets cancelled with zero warning or notification to only arrive at the airport to be told it was cancelled after driving two hours to get there. Stood in line for over an hour to literally be told “Get your refund online we don’t do that here, there’s nothing I can do for you” by the United Airlines lady who clearly didn’t care for any of us or her job based off her cutting me off mid explaination followed by “Have a better day” while ripping up people’s tickets. After this kind of neglect and clear disconcern for passengers I’m going to make it a personal job to deter everyone I know from using this airport and especially United.
Clean airport, friendly staff! A lot smaller of an airport means its far easier to get to your terminal. TSA was really quick to get thru and friendly as well. On the way back bags were a little late but still less time than at major airports without a delay (The walk alone is usually longer in large airports). Best of all the tickets were cheaper than flying out of Detroit! Ill will fly out of Flint even if the tickets are more than Detroit in the future.

I dont understand people who think an airport is some kind of amusement park or restaurant. I dont need shiny happy people kissing my rear end - I want efficient check-in, efficient TSA and an on-time flight. Bishop and Allegiant have provided that for me and my family on multiple occasions. I would much rather come to a smaller airport than fight the crowds and traffic at the big ones.
We rented from Avid at the bishop airport and left our car in long term parking. It worked out great! Easy in and out and everyone was super friendly!!

Airport is always clean, food is great, easy in and easy out and there is never a huge line for TSA. This airport is a lot easier to fly out of than DTW. Truly one of the greatest airports in the midwest. The airport is small but beautiful. Michigan should be really proud of this airport! Great for flights to Atlanta or Chicago!
I LOVE THIS AIRPORT! Always fast, even when there is a lot of people. Love that it is small and thus easy to navigate. The pickup lane and cell phone lot are convenient and well sized. I always try and fly from Flint instead of Detroit.
Please read as i have added to the review on the bottom.Can not go wrong, We fly here for Southwest airlines and we use DTW for Delta as it has a delta connection to go to Sault Saint Marie, MIchigan. rental cars are a little hard to get sometimes when you get here even with a reservation. only seems to happen if you fly in on an early flight and then you have to wait for them to clean the cars. other than that a clean friendly and fast TSA airport.Update. Was 5 stars now 2 as southwest was allowed to leave an we no longer use this airport. Delta, American airlines only now have connection jets service and allegent air only flys here 2 times a week. so with their higher price we will now fly out of Dtw. 1.5 hours south. Or use grand rapids for southwest. 2.5 hours west.

I am from out of town and haven’t been able to find a michigan sweater anywhere and when i arrive at the airport before security there is a closed gift shop and on the door it said check out our gift shop past security near gate 1 when i got through security the gift shop by gate one was closed without a sign on the doors or anything. I asked the guy working across from the gift shop if he knew by chance would it be open anytime tonight and he said “No the shops closed Nope it’s obviously closed” all i did was ask and he didn’t have to be rude man looked mid 40s maybe but very rude for no reason.
Thrifty car rental service was ABSOLUTELY great to my husband and I and was so simple with check in and out. Also reimburse our card for thehold within 2 hours after returning the car.
They really keep the airport here really clean! The floors very well waxed and the bathrooms are superb! 10/10 would fly from here again!
Smaller airport with less congestion.
Not upset due to weather conditions but had a 2 1/2 hour delay both arrival and departure...I have flying anxiety so it was just uncomfortable.
THIS A REALLY TOP NOCHT AIRPORT. The airport is not busy at all. You just go through the check and be on the plane in no time!!! Also not to mention its really clean! And there food shops and burgers and magazines or books and etc... And its pretty quiet there(a great place to read books or meditate or even sleep)LOL. BUT DO NOT SLEEP YOU MIGHT MISS YOUR FLIGHT.

I love the airport itself but the TSA people are very rude. I fly out of there a lot and I have not had a nice experience going through security. Absolutely no patience with children!
Received very courteous and professional treatment from the staff here at this airport when I got back into town we waited almost an hour for our luggage to come to baggage claim
Beautiful, small, convenient airport.
Very clean and was running smoothly. Made it from the door to the gate in about 10 minutes. Aleigent staff was friendly and helpful.
While waiting to pick up my mother a Bishop Airport employee thought it was more necessary to take away the wheel chair that I was holding for my mother to take away and store with the other half dozen Laura Wangler or something close to that last name on Saturday at 635 pm. Terrible customer service to take away a wheelchair
Handicap people in wheelchair beware. Handicap shuttle bus with lift never works. Called ahead of time. They reassured me it was. Need better management over shuttle bus and staff in parking. No pleased. Third year of this🙁🙁🙁
I would have like to see them get on the plane but they got the kids through checkout in a timely fashion
This little hub is my favorite airport in the entire country. Its small, you check luggage and get to your gate in no time. Remodeled recently, its the best airport for its ease of use, friendly staff and quick on and offs.
They didn’t check our temperatures? During this pandemic it should be necessity to at least check everyone’s temperatures before entering the building. Also lots of workers and people with their masks halfway down.
TSA line takes to long nobody cares about there jobs there. Also TSA likes to steal stuff from your bag. Parking lots are all falling apart will be flying out from Detroit from now on
They answered every question I had from my mask my covid shot card and every question that I threw at him they answered every one of them.
I called and the lady who answered was unnecessarily rude. I’ve never picked anyone up from the airport and had a few general questions and she did not make me feel comfortable if I ever choose to do any future business with them. At the end of the call I said thanks and she just hung up. Not good customer service.
Smaller airport, staff helpful and professional , really clean bathrooms , tsa was fast and friendly, boarding was fast and smooth,flight landed half hour early which was nice, would definitely fly again,shuttle was quick to pick us up and drop us off
Picked up my niece and sister in law. The airport staff is very friendly and its clean.
Much more convenient than Detroit Metro. Five minutes after I park, Im at the gate. Takes me 15 minutes at Metro just to get to the terminal. And Bishop is only a 10 minute longer drive from my house. The fares are often cheaper too!
Fast service, nice car. Just beaware that many insurance companies not only cover the rental but offer LOSS OF USE riders for under $5 a day. Loss of use is if there is an accident and the car is in the repair shop for a period of tome. You would be responsible for rental for that period. Rental companies want $30 a day for complete coverage. My car was $20 a day and would have been $50 with their insurance. This is not Alamo, it is all of them. Just check your insurance. Also if you contest it in most courts they have to prove that was the only car not rented. Otherwise they dont have a loss.
Bishop is a great airport, so much easier than leaving out of DTW. The smaller terminal is very easy to get around, and you can park right next to the baggage / ticketing area / stairway to the gates. I dont dread going to Bishop like I do with some other airports.

I needed wheel chair assistant. When I returned to Flint there was none. The person that did get a wheelchair for me wasnt nice and the wheelchair got hot on the sides burning my right side due to friction.
The ticket agent at the airport was rude unprofessional and made me miss the flight he waited on everybody before taking care of me to purchase a ticket and when he finally got to me it was past the cutoff and I was stuck in Flint Michigan for another 4 hours to fly out
A nice little parking lot to wait for plane to get here and unloaded.
Its probably easy for the once a year flyer/vacationer, but no fast lane in security so it actually takes longer for frequent flyers to go through than it does at DTW. Parking is cheap though, and free wifi is nice if your flight gets delayed.
Great little airport. Clean, laid out well, ready to navigate and convenient.

2021-11-28Great Airport smaller and clean always great Service and consistent on gate placement of planes easy to navigate through… TSA always friendly and thorough I was in a panic after losing my ID this has never happened to me and I didn’t notice it until right as I was checking in with security they were very helpful and accepted other multiple forms of identification with practicing proper safety protocols to ensure I was still who I said I was on point and always friendly and helpful! We fly OFTEN and FNT is a great airport!

2022-04-18Ah yes, the Bishop International Airport. Their post-security snack shop is stocked with everything you may need for your flight (e.g. pepto, goldfish, ear plugs, nasal spray, honey buns, funyuns, jelly beans, fruity tooties, you name it). Interesting fact about Bishop: although it has the word international in its title this airport actually only services flights to 13 cities all located within these United States. No doubt Ill be flying into/out of BIA again someday.

2020-08-20I dropped my sister off at this airport. The drive to the airport was an easy, very direct route. Signage is very good for getting to short/long term parking, the terminal and the exit.The grounds are absolutely lovely! It doesn’t look like you’re pulling up to an airport!And it’s very clean.

2022-04-26Terminal parking lot was full, and had multiple signs stating it, as to not waste anyones time looking.The shuttle lot was fast. The driver was very pleasant. No tip jar either, like the shuttle lots in DTW.Clean airport.
